I’m not feeling like writing a huge wall of text rn but this has given me so much material. The kyman dynamic in there is literally what I always liked in romantic kyman. It’s real, it’s POSSIBLE. I have been PRAYING for a Kyle Cartman episode because it feels like forever since we’ve gotten one and they dared to give us not just something where Kyle and Cartman are the focus, but THEY’RE WORKING TOGETHER.

Please oh please tell me they have more underway for season 27.

I’m genuinely freaking out. I haven’t checked the tag on ao3 but I bet my life it has been FLOURISHING since EoO. I have 2 new wips that came to me out of 20 minutes into the special.

And to think this came in like May and I held out on watching until now.

Production for South Park seems so unserious but like in a funny way. Not just the “six days to air” thing, but how the show’s supervising producer can just ask Trey Parker for a voice role and they give her a character who gets a predominant background role for the rest of the show. I’ll always have Jennifer Howell to thank for Bebe Stevens.

Same thing goes with Jennifer and Bruce’s child, Jesse Howell; one of the first of many voice actors for Ike.

Then we have creating Butters inspired by Eric Stough or the naming of Cartman after their fat obnoxious college friend. Idc how parasocial this sounds but working on early South Park just seemed like so much fun, these two friends just making whatever they think is funny by breaking every Hay Code they can think of.

Mac is literally the cleanest of the gang, I don’t care that they dropped his bossiness a bit in later seasons but he was still the one cleaning Charlie and Frank’s apartment in “Mac and Dennis break up”, so I’ll just take that scene as representative of his entire character from now on, thank you very much

But seriously, it makes sense. We’ve seen his mom, how she’s a mess alone (and his father wouldn’t make much of a difference if he was present). Lots of people that grow up in an uncaring and messy environment tend to grow up and take cleaningness very seriously. I speak from personal experience when I say I get anxious when I see a messy bedroom precisely because it brings me back to my early childhood. Mac took the role of “man of the house” very seriously after his father went to jail, it’s very evident his bossiness and need to take care of people came from that. He NEEDS Dennis to need him, because if he doesn’t, what’s preventing him from just leaving?

Speaking of Dennis, I wouldn’t describe him as clean like other people have. He’s not messy, he likes to have things organized, but only to the extent of his own willingness to clean. I actually think Dennis would be very laidback in general, he grew up with maids and butlers and never actually lived on his own. His college dorm must’ve been a hellsite, though the majority of dorms usually are. Mac cleans after Dennis, metaphorically and literally.

This then leads me to think a bit more about their living dynamics (though I dwelve into more headcanon-y territory) like how Dennis probably takes care of the money aspects (tbf Frank’s credit card takes care of it), Mac does grocery shopping because I think if Dennis did it, he’d come back with like 4 protein bars and some apples to last them the whole month. Mac totally cleans Dennis’ room, atleast in minor ways like dusting and taking out the trash, wile Dennis keeps their apartment tidy by decorating shelves or keeping things in their places. It’s a silent part of their living arrangement and the kind of thing they’d never trade off.

Yeah Fallout 3 might have been more enjoyable and New Vegas might’ve been better in literally every aspect but neither of these games had the original soundrack Fallout 4 did so I’ll stick with my Lynda Carter on our train train

Alright, I do love Arrested Development with all my heart. It’s one of my favorite comedy shows ever, I literally rewatch it every 3 months, I never get tired of it, it’s hilarious.

Still, it hurts seeing the reverse character arc this family takes. By that I mean, the writers figuring out it’s funnier to write horrible people in a toxic codependent relationship instead of Schitt’s Creek.

Lucille made the monsters that are Gob and Lindsay. Michael was practically brainwashed by his shite father that family matters most just in case he ever saw he needed to get out, they’d remember he can’t because his family should be his priority. S4 Michael breaks my heart. I’m laughing, it’s hilarious but like, some of these tears are not out of laughing.

For the longest time, I thought the best thing Michael could do is grab GM and get the hell outta there. Then came S4 and christ, GM needs to leave everybody. I haven’t watched S5 but i’ve heard it’t better for Michael specifically, thought I’m still genuinely scared of seeing my poor beautiful child Buster suffer.
