To reiterate:
Trump's transphobic Executive Orders regarding healthcare and Federal documents are currently unenforceable and are not current actionable policy of the Federal government.
Do not despair.
Do not panic.
And most importantly: do not comply in advance.
Staying alive is a radical act as a trans person in Trump's America.

you should apologize specifically to impunkster-syndrome publicly. no amount of "i retract my post" will undo the damage you did by making a false callout on a trans and intersex person because you personally didn't agree with them and tried your best to get them cut out of communities. they did get harassment because of you and starryjoy. your post and starryjoy's hostility was used to hurt them and make them suicidal. you successfully harassed a person off the platform that you know experienced a lot of harassment for being unpopular. not even actually bigoted, just unpopular. ik them personally and have been watching them self-isolate and get more suicidal due to that isolation since before you did that and your post and starryjoy's was used to hurt them more than you know and ever could make amends for.
i want you to know how you hurt someone because to be honest, no one else will tell you. they don't have a voice in queer spaces anymore to defend themself. because of people who do things like you did and experiencing that for years.
.
Edit <I was out when I recieved the anon and immediately posted it to return to later and am now doing so>:
I don't disagree, the damage was done and can't be undone. The retraction still feels appropriate and necessary because of that, because it wasn't made as a "I clean my hands of this" post it was made to call attention to my part in the matter and I expected something like your anon after posting it.
I'm sorry and will continue to be regardless of amends being made or not. Regardless of forgiveness, I regret what I did which was that post which made matters worse. Retracting it and giving it the tags I gave the original felt appropriate then and still does and why this post is similarly tagged. I'm sorry to impunkster-syndrome and to corezy as well. It was a hasty and bad decision and they (i-s) shouldn't have been harrassed and wouldn't have if I'd never made the post. They did not deserve what I did and caused.

all my advice about using real athletes to learn drawing bodies beyond hard abs, and my particular pref being wrestlers, also applies to women btw. you can draw women who r strong and not an hourglass shape. fucking do it.

kris statlander, rhea ripley (look at her SHAPE), willow nightingale, ruby soho, these r just four off the top of my head that have obvious musculature and different body types. skye blue and julia hart have more slim cheerleader style bodies as well, i REALLY wanted to put emi sakura who is fucking STOUT (adoring) in this post but i couldn't find a good demonstrative pic, the list goes on

This might be a take that gets me yelled at but, according to the original definition of social murder, trans men get socially murdered all the fucking time
Tumblr media
Oh, it’s when an oppressed person dies as a result of social, political, and economic forces?
Social forces like having others actively treat you like shit cause they think you should be a woman and don’t like that you’re a man? You mean bullying, misgendering, sexual harassment and assault, denial of bodily autonomy, all with no easy way to escape this? If that leads someone to committing suicide, that’s social murder? If a trans guy turns to a queer space for support and gets everyone pushing him to be more femme, thus triggering his dysphoria and not so subtly communicating that they don’t support him because he’s a man, and he ends up isolated and considering suicide since he can’t get support from anyone, is that social murder?
Or how about if your politicians decide to pass laws to force others to treat you this way? Any books showing someone like you get pulled from your school cause it’s “inappropriate”, your teachers are required by the state board of education to never respect your gender at all to the point you can’t even have a nickname, all because the state governor hates people like you?
Ooh, let’s delve into the economic one too! If you were able to transition to a point of legally being male and then you get ovarian cancer and die because you can’t afford to get it treated because the insurance company wants you to pay out of pocket for this given it’s “a women’s healthcare issue,” that’s social murder, right?
“Now hold on, tumblr user asterosian,” I can hear you saying. “Trans women and nonbinary people get this too! This isn’t exclusively a trans men’s issue! In fact, that last one affects intersex people as well.” And you’re correct. If you ask me, pick any issue affecting one group and you’ll find a whole host of other groups also screwed over by it. I’d never deny that trans women and nonbinary people in Florida are fucked over just as I and other trans men in Florida are. The only thing I’m asking for is for you to see what trans men go through and take it as seriously as you take intersex and other trans people’s issues. Unless you don’t take those seriously either, in which case fix whatever is wrong with your soul and start supporting all of us.

Feeling incredibly sick and angry about everything. I’ll go about my day and try to be normal and then it just ambushes me and honestly the only people keeping me sane rn are the Arabs who’ve voiced similar experiences and are staying the course and being vocal despite all the attempts to basically blame everything that’s wrong with this country on us

I do want to note that the whole "women are allowed to dress masculine and wear trousers" thing needs to be viewed in its historical context:
People fought for generations to be allowed to dress that way. They fought hard to be allowed to wear pants. Blue jeans were a symbol of feminist revolution. Women were barred from workplaces and schools for wearing them.
This is not some a natural fact that women dressing masculine is less shocking and humiliating. That normalization was fought for and hard-won.
And yet so many people erase the struggles of those people who fought to make that happen and pretend that it's just normal and natural that people don't see women "dressed like men" as ridiculous.
The Marriage of Figaro has what's called a "breeches role" which is a woman wearing men's clothes playing am ale role. This was done partly due to the vocal range requirements, but in many cases it was done comedically. It was risque and sexualized or comic relief that a woman was dressed as a man.
Tumblr media
Anti-suffragette posters mock women wearing pants - well they were bloomers and split skirts back then - and mocking more masculine cut styles of clothes. This was meant to portray this as ridiculous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They mocked the "new woman" in Weimar Germany, lamenting that they were too masculine.
This is a political cartoon from the 1920s depicting a woman in masculine dress deciding which bathroom to use:
Tumblr media
Sorry but you're erasing these struggles and flattening history when you say this shit.
Women were killed and institutionalized in the struggle to make this happen. It really fucking bothers me the way it's framed as "people just don't find it as weird when women dress masculine."
Yes they fucking did. Until women and transmasculine people fought for their right to wear what they want. It's normalized because people struggled to normalize it.
And it's not normal everywhere. There are many countries where it's still illegal for women to wear pants. Sudan, Saudi Arabia.
Even in the US, it's forbidden and considered ridiculous in groups like the FLDS, the Amish, and the Hutterites.
We are flattening and erasing the struggles of women when we say these things. I know we're trying to build theory here but you can't build solid theory on a foundation of lies.
