To all my American friends, from an Italian who has been raised steeped in "love your country" bullshit.

Be selfish, and do what you can to save yourself. Do your best to bring as many loved ones as possible with you, but do not compromise your safety for the sake of a country and people who have turned against you.

If you decide to move away please don't let anybody try to convince you that you're 'abandoning' your country or your people. You are saving yourself and your loved ones, and can't help anybody else if you're dead and/or in jail. Protesting and fighting is good and all, but after a certain point, you must also think of your own safety. You are not a coward or a traitor. The only people who will tell you that are the ones who are not risking their life and livelihoods. Please do what it's best for yourself and your families.

Patriotism and community won't save you when police shoot you in the head for protesting.

Europe immigration portal

As an European and afaik I would say Finland, Ireland, Sweden and Germany are your best bets to move to because they have the best immigration and integration programs, as well as welfare and other necessities.

If you're lgbtq+ the best bets for you are Germany, Spain, Norway, Sweden. They all have same-sex marriage, adoptions and most of them allow gender self-identification. Italy is not safe for lgbtq+ people because we have no rights whatsoever. Civil unions are a lie.

All the countries I have mentioned should have a specific page on their government websites for immigrants to let them know the resources they provide for you and the documentation you need. Language courses are often offered as part of the immigration resources, but there are also plenty of schools and independent courses you can attend.

I hope everything doesn't go to shit. But in any case please ensure you have safety plans to move states or countries if you need to.

Renew your passport, gather all important documentations, save money for a quick getaway and contact the embassies of the countries you might want to move to.

Please all keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

Help each other, support each other, but at the end of the day everyone will fight for their own life. Senseless altruism will lead you to your grave. Don't lay down your life for a country that hated you since the moment you were born.

Sephiroth and Genesis — Fallen Angels

I was abused. The idea of my abuser coming to watch me while I'm unconscious and can't hide and then going back to the same family that was abused alongside me, acting like it's a great act of repentance makes me sick. I would genuinely rather die than let my abuser do something like this.

I actually feel sick to my stomach about what happened to dabi. I'm not being hyperbolic. I was never abused but the fact that Dabi's abuser gets to visit him even though everyone knows what that man did is sick. Endeavor gets to stare at him through a pain of glass like dabi is a goddamn monkey in a zoo and dabi is too weak to even object.

Despite its flaws, I loved Fourth Wing & Iron Flame...

but holy hell is Xaden boring. I haven't been as uninterested in a character in a long time. He's the standard male love interest of YA fantasy, hunky with dark hair and cool tattoos and he can weave shadows because he's dark and mysteriousTM but also! also! he also has the rarest signet because he's super duper special. Now, I am all for using and reinventing tropes, but Xaden is completely interchangeable with characters like Rhysand or any other guy. Like at least Violet is an interesting character even with all her mary sue-ness. Xaden is just plain and has a ridiculous name to boot. How am I supposed to take seriously someone named Xaden? I ended up dubbing him mentally as 'Aiden' because at least it's not as cringy.

I'm team Rihannon x Violet, or Violet x Cat because their fighting about Xaden was way more interesting than Xaden himself.

No hate to the author or to those who like Xaden, this is just my dumb opinion.

This screams autistic coded Sephiroth and I am HERE for it

Here have some pre insanity -completely drop kicks canon- headcanons for Sephiroth (because playing crisis core broke my heart and I’m scared of ever crisis.)

(also ship warning for AGSCZ -don’t like don’t read!)

Young Sephiroth didn’t like having his hair brushed -especially by Hojo. He would scream bloody murder at any lab-techs that tried. In the end -because he got so strong and could actually hurt people when he got distressed- they left him to do it himself. This ended up in Sephiroth having to have his hair cut short at age 11 because he didn’t know how to brush it properly and was just causing a Matt under the top layer of hair.

Carrying on from this, as an adult the only person who has ever been able to brush Sephiroth’s is Cloud, because he’s so gentle and patient as he brushes out the knots that it doesn’t make Sephiroth feel like his scalps on fire.

Genesis is however the one who taught Sephiroth how to brush long hair properly.

Sephiroth can’t mix foods on his fork. He eats one thing at a time in a specific order and if he deviates from the order it ruins his enjoyment of the meal. With pasta dishes he will eat the pasta, then the meat/whatever it’s mixed with. He’s never outwardly complained or made a big deal, but Angeal has picked up on his distress a couple of times and now specifically plans meals accordingly.

My poor boy doesn’t do public speaking or reading out loud. His natural speech is soft spoken and full of crutch vocalisations. He can read about a 100 words per minute and can memorise whole books like a pro, but he lacks the actual ability to deliver vocally. It’s why Angeal usually handles public relations and motivating troops. Seph can relay battle plans swiftly and efficiently but he stumbles with knowing the right words to rally the troops.

His natural relaxed pose is having his foot hooked around the other ankle, with his arms behind his back and hands holding his elbows. Only his partners know this to be his true relaxed pose. It means he’s vulnerable enough to look soft and approachable with them.

He used to be secretly jealous of Gen’s childhood stuffed toy. It sits on the redheads bed and Seph started dropping it into his own laps when he sat on the bed. Genesis noticed this and took Seph on a date with Zack to pick out a stuffed animal he liked. Seph bitches that he’s not a child and that it’s embarrassing until he sees a silver jointed teddy in a hospital gown. It’s part of a collection where the money goes to under plate kids hospitals, and there’s something so familiar about the bear that Sephiroth starts crying. Gen buys it for him and it sits on Sephs bed or in his lap when he’s feeling fragile.

He doesn’t have a favourite partner. He loves Zack because the boy is cuddly and infectiously happy; He loves Gen because he’s deceptively kind but he can rely on him not to bullshit him when there’s a problem; he loves Geal because he’s so solid and allows Seph to lean on him in a way that Sephiroth has never had; he loves Cloud because he’s a spitfire with a heart of gold who’s not willing to back down just because someone’s bigger than him. He loves them so much some days he feels like he might actually die from it.

I have more but this feels like a good place to stop. I dunno man, Sephiroth is so multifaceted and sometimes I just like to think about the stuff that makes him human, ya know?

No idea what this was about so I'll take it as an excuse to talk a bit about the babes!

Axel, the man, the myth, the legend! I've loved it since the first time I saw him in the CoM manga, I fell even deeper in love after watching the KH2 movie fan dubbed in ITA (that was a rare gem back in 2006 or so I believe, put it on a dvx and all that so I could rewatch it. I wonder if it still exists on yt...) and once I was able to play Days (only a little bit back then, I sucked ass at games and only reached the flying Heartless in Neverland while chasing it with an umbrella lol) I loved him EVEN MORE! "Got it memorized" is a cool quote people can fight me about it! He also is NOT the ugly copy of Reno, he is BETTER I will not take criticism! And in general now that we're done with KH3 as well I can say this man never had a single moment of respite, he always had to do some shitty dirty job and the amount of emotional turmoil he was in is just 😭 poor baby! I think what I love most about him is the fiery (ehe) passion he has, how bright his feelings burn, how devoted he is to his friends (and boyfriend) and just how fucking CRAZY he acts when he's set on something. I think the manga captures all of this perfectly and helps with the delivery thanks to the Amano sensei's ability in showing all of his emotions through a range of facial expressions that the games lacked back then due to the graphic (which I love, mind you, but it's undeniable that they didn't have the wildest range). And lastly you simply can never go wrong with red hair, green eyes and a snappy personality🔥

ROXAS! ROXAS ROXAS ROXAS! THE BABY BOY HIMSELF! THE SUNFLOWER!!! SUMMER CHILD! I think it's safe to say that Roxas is one of my favourite characters, like, right there in the top5 probably! I love love love tragic heroes and what is his story if not a fucking tragedy from start to ALMOST finish? I'm a bit disappointed that the vast majority tend to depict him as always angry and a bit edgy when he's actually a sweet kid who just happened to go through a whole fucking lot so of COURSE he was mad, and of course that changed him, but I like to think that he has found peace once again and that, although he has more of an edge now, he can be his old sunny self once more. Just give him a break ok? Let him be happy I'm bEGGING 😭 Anyway his part in KH2 with the skateboard has to be one of the best things ever, I miss it- I want a spin off of the Twilight Gang just Doing Things, a slice of life if you will, I'd play the everliving shit out of it!! Anyway he has one of the best story lines, a great design and TWO KEYBLADES AT THE SAME TIME! HE'S SOOO COOL AAAAAA BELOVED!!
