I don't think many people know this piece of trivia but in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse there's that scene where Jacob tells Edward "I'm hotter than you." which has a double meaning of warmer and better looking, fun right?

Well in czech the word for hot/warm does NOT mean good looking, it is in fact a euphemism for gay. If you call someone warm/hot you're actually calling them gay.

So in the czech version of Twilight Eclipse, for the sentence to work, they HAD TO use the word warm/hot so what Jacob says has a second meaning of "I'm gayer than you."

It is just as funny to hear that as you think it is, especially out of context

alright so a bit of a personal post that has nothing to do with tvdu but i need you guys’ opinion.

so basically, i’m non-binary she/her/they/them and my biological name hasn’t felt right in a very long time but i’m having difficulty choosing a new name.

what do i do???

firm believer that heretic!lizzie would never be able to hurt dark!josie. not because lizzie is weak but because she wouldn’t want to hurt josie.

at this point in the show josie had yet to grow up and was honestly just looking for reasons to villainize lizzie because she didn’t want people to now she was slightly ableist. both hope and lizzie ‘stealing crushes’ was unintentional but i do think that josie holds hope on a pedestal similar to hoe alaric expects so much from hope. josie doesn’t even stop to think before putting the blame on lizzie even if it was mostly hope. this situation was honestly just really messy, unneeded and childish. it’s not like crushes are that big a deal. josie wasn’t in love with any of those poeple and if she had been then i genuinely think that both hope and lizzie would have backed off. but josie never says anything. she sits quietly in the corner and saves the argument for the future where she can pin everything of lizzie and be the victim.

How old were you when you realized Hope "won" more crushes away from Josie than Lizzie ever did? Because I was two-minutes-ago old, and I need to know your thoughts, especially combined with last episode's revelation.

MG and Hope are the only ones who let their image of lizzie change with her. they never held on the childish version of her. they saw her making the effort to be better and supported her and defended her when no one else saw her struggle.

these scenes are so important for josie as an individual and for her relationship with lizzie. this is josie finally growing up and realising that the person she needed was lizzie all along and that all she’s done is judge and belittle her for her illness. josie needed that time to find herself just like lizzie did. and when josie finally comes back both her and lizzie will be the best version of themselves for each other.
