Mia hi! Yeah I fell out of the habit of posting I guess, got real busy with the therapy I suppose, good to hear from you!

Fall is so beautiful. The leaves falling from the trees, all the cosy clothes, knit hats, and you can curl up with a good book and watch the rain on the window. I get some of my best reading done in Fall and I love getting hot drinks and going on walks in boots and coats, I love the Fall season.

Currently reading the ACOTAR series and about to start A Court of Mist and Fury.

It’s Fall 🍂🍁☕️🧣

When it comes to fall 🧥🧦I am not the biggest fan

The odd weather, the chilly mornings and the sudden way my body feels due to all of it 😣

However I find the aesthetic of it very appealing ☺️ the warm browns, the cozy colors and drinking nice afternoon coffee ☕️

Plus binge watching series is nice too I guess

I know she hasn't really been added to the Disney Princess roster but she was featured in the 80s-90s Disney Movie Concert as a Disney Princess soooo

Anastasia! Loosely based on the real story of the Royal family The Romanovs, talented voices, beautiful 2D animation and a very classic story about a Princess rediscovering her past. If you can listen to Once Upon A December and not got emotional you are made of stone.

And yes I'm aware she was a 20th Century Fox girlie but Disney bought Fox so technically she is a Disney Princess now.

Hmnn can't relate but then again I was raised by most of the original X-Men and my folks in turn so I was never really alone.

I was babysat by Storm and Logan every so often and if no one was available, I'd be at the school with the eldest students for the babysitting duty. Then I became the babysitter after a few years, before I went off to college. Then I was the babysitter all over again, just with an office. So I'm used to being in a full house.

And when I was still a kid I lived on a ranch with my parents and grandparents away from the city life, spending time with other kids and family most days and helping around the ranch. I counted many mutants as close friends.

But I can see why a busy home might be overwhelming coming from a family where social gatherings with extended family weren't the norm. Ya'll know I'm right here if you need to talk!

Ok this is probably just me but I HATE having company over.

It is probably how I was raised but still whatever!

This goes for family or friends!

Especially when it’s someone I haven’t seen in years (or only met them once in my lifetime) or worse, they decide to come over with their WHOLE entire family without asking first if that is okay THE F—?! Like dude I never met your wife or husband and kids, never even seen a god damn picture of them.

BETTER YET, never seen them at a family gathering first to get to know what I am dealing with!! 😤

And you expect me to comply, huh?! Like dude I have a life with my own routine and now I have to make room for you to enter my home! Imagine if I had a boyfriend, or my OWN family, they have to comply too?!

So in result I have to change my whole personality and style just to fit a certain mood or standard in your eyes ughhhh! In my house?! Bish no!

Ok look, I get it, if the person is coming over to my place for a visit, like your here for 3-5 hours! That I can 💯 guarantee I can deal with, cause I know by the end of the day—YOUR GONE!

But if you’re staying at my house for a week or so, just thinking me and whoever else living there, would agree to this shit—THEN YOUR MISTAKE!

Like dude does it even process in your head how rude and disrespectful and annoying that sounds?!

Just 📞 like “oh hey my friend or family member, I’mma come over to your house for a few day with my friends or family, okay yeah cool! See you soon!” THE HELL?! 😖

High chance when you come over, you won’t respect my wishes and boundaries either!

Dude where is the passcode to this keypad for you to take a left and exit my door?! Please and thank you 🙏

This so much more I can say to express how I feel about this but I simply don’t have the patience or words to explain it 😞

Entry no.2 Everyday is a School Day

I've seen some wild things over the years. Being mutant and attending a school for mutants does that for you. You see shapeshifters, telekinesis, people who can turn into beasts, people who can kill with one touch, people with claws in their skin, but nothing could have prepared me for what I saw today.

The day started very normal, kids watching TV, eating breakfast, chatting when one of the kids, we'll call her Pink Roses, decides to prank her...boyfriend? They're a couple I think. Or really good friends. I need to do more research. Anyway she decides it's a good idea to prank him or rather his slime friend on his shoulder helps her prank him and suddenly he's turned into those blue cat things from that movie Avatar. It was uncanny! One of the kids, let's call her Purple Shell, screamed like a banshee alerting all of us to what had happened and I could not believe my eyes. This kid had just transformed into a big blue cat!

And according to what I've been told, that's not normal! This kid, we'll call him Blueberry? Seems fitting. Blueberry, has multiple kinds of mutation or mutates in his body. Like someone or something just shoved several different X Genes into his DNA and waited to see what happened. From what I've heard he hosts a symbiote, has lycanthropic tendencies and the same gamma radiation impulses as a certain green fella we all know. Three different abilities!

They teach you in school that finding solutions to unknown problems is like throwing spaghetti at a wall. Some of it might slide off and land in a mess on the ground but if it's got enough sauce on it and it's fresh enough, it might stick to the wall until you can clean it up. This feels like someone just catapulted spaghetti at a wall despite the mess, hurling it over and over again. It's fascinating.

Despite all my training and experience with mutants, you can still learn something new every day. The kid's fine by the way, he stayed a cat the rest of the day. It was kind of cute and his Dad reassured him he would be okay. At least I think that's his Dad? Or just a really kind Uncle? Again, I need to get some files on my desk so I can figure out who's who properly in this place. Maybe I'll have to request them. But the kid is okay. That's all for now.

Now I really want some spaghetti.

You know what era of romcoms I miss? It's the early 2000s teen romcoms that were based on classic literature. They were some of my favorite ones, and yeah, some were loosley based, but they still hit those important bases, and they were so much fun.

I might be missing some, but I remember just having fun with these. One of my English teachers also showed us a few of these movies while studying Shakespeare to show how pieces of literature can change over the years and inspire other's own takes.

Hey! Don't think we've met yet at The Tower but yes, hugs are great for boosting your mood if they are wanted. Hugs give you endorphins, endorphins make you happy. But regardless hugs are great for cheering most people up. Unless they hate hugging.

Exactly. Loving your work is wonderful but you should love your life too. It gets hectic for sure but don't neglect your social needs. Everyone has to take a break sometimes.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed or frustrated…it’s weird. I wanted to become an agent (and I’m happy I did), but sometimes I forget to enjoy life and make friends. Like I sometimes don’t even know what to talk about 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you feel like that? - Mia

I hate to use this word but it sounds less clinical when I do but you might be a workaholic? Don't get me wrong, doing what you love is a great feeling! Getting up and never hating Mondays, awesome. But there's gotta be a work/life balance. Downtime should be your priority, set aside time to go and do something for you. Meet a friend for coffee, take yourself to the park for a walk, take a drive somewhere new, it won't always be fifty-fifty, but you should aim for that. Work is important but so is life.

A great piece of animation summed this up beautifully a few years ago. It was a throwaway line but it holds so much meaning.

"Your life is like a pizza. Only half of that should be dedicated to work. The other half is for your personal life. Your personal pizza."

Then maybe you'll have things to talk about. And you'll feel more inclined to set aside that time as needs be.
