Imma be an art nerd for a second but yellow is often associated with positivity and happiness. So, I can see the Doctor being drawn to the color yellow because it helps him feel better/more positive about things because he IS supposed to be healing

Which just makes me more fucking emotional for him

I’ve watched the end scene of the Giggle that many times that I can confidently say (if you go by the lore of the Giggle book, in which the Doctor owns the house at the end) that Fourteen’s favourite colour is yellow

But I also love the idea that the yellow and dark blue together represent Fourteen and Donna 💛💙
