In some small alternate universe, I believe Tony Stark had a soft spot for model cars. He collected and showcased and had rows and rows of shelves filled with his tiny model cars. A hobby (finally a healthy one) but when it finally gets out of hand and Pepper makes him get rid of them, he just simply pays someone off to store them for him so he can keep hording his model Lamborghini's and Etrons and giggle at his massive collection.
