I was very excited to get to trade and I'm glad the sweater found a home where it will be loved! Thanks @midnightworkers :)
Hi! I just want to thank you craftxchange 😊
I saw the beautiful sweater @theeverlastingmuse posted for an exchange and I got to exchange a dress I made with her!!
I love the sweater, and I’m so happy I could connect with another crafter/designer! <3

My boyfriend learned how to sew and made me this cute rabbit! He opted not to use an existing pattern but rather made his own, which I thought was really cool! So cute!

Penguin sweater vest for my mom. Hand knit from secondhand yarn, the penguin is duplicate stitched on (a technique I very recently learned.) I decided not to make sleeves because I wouldn't have had enough of the yarn I was using. I could always go back and add some later if I have a good idea on a different yarn to use. I found the chart for the penguin on Pinterest. I'll attach it below. 🐧

Listening to some Joan Baez tonight. I bought a couple albums the other day and I'm excited to be listening to them! She's my favorite ♥️ the sleeve isn't shown in the picture but I'm listening to David's album. It's all on the floor because I just moved and don't have any furniture yet...

I saw this post and it inspired me to make some hats to donate. I finished my first one this morning and am working on my second. They're a little thin and have small holes, so I think I'll line them with fleece or a similar fabric for extra warmth. Thanks for the inspiration milkweedman!

Dialing in on how to make a good simple double crochet toque. I think ive finally figured it out with this last one. They're very fast altho I've frogged a lot while figuring it out.
Friendly reminder that warm accessories such as hats, gloves/fingerless gloves/mittens, etc, are needed almost everywhere when cold weather hits. If you have the time, yarn, and ability to donate some stuff you too can help keep your community warm.
I saw a person wearing a pair of fingerless gloves I crocheted--never met the person. Didn't say anything bc I didn't want them to be uncomfortable. But it warmed my heart.

Needed something simple to work on, so I started a ribbed scarf. Yarn is Anny Blatt 80% mohair 20% silk, I got it from someone on Craigslist. It's kind of itchy haha but I like working on it.

The sweater I started... It's way too small. I didn't use the recommended yarn and it messed it up. I also didn't check what weight the yarn used in the pattern was, and just went with a random yarn from my stash. Oh well, I'll learn from my mistakes. Unfortunately this won't fit me or anyone I know, so I'll have to frog it. Soon I'll figure something else out to use the beautiful blue yarn for.

I started knitting this v neck sweater yesterday from the book fitted knits. It's my first top down sweater and I don't tend to follow patterns so I'm a bit nervous, but I think it will be good. I'm not very far in, only a couple inches, but so far it's going well. I'm using some patons yarn I thrifted in a beautiful shade of blue- I'll show you soon. But I've been listening to so much Joan Baez while knitting this sweater and now I want to knit a sweater of her. I'm not entirely sure what I mean by that. Maybe a picture of her, or some lyrics? Not sure. If anyone has a good idea, let me know :) anyways, below is a picture of the sweater I'm currently working on

I'm getting really excited about knitting right now. I bought the Seaton collection at a thrift store and I really want to make one of their sweaters. I'll have to learn intarsia, which I'm hoping is easy because I'm way too used to stranded colorwork. I'm really excited about the tapestry sweaters from the Seaton collection and I think there are a few tapestry sweaters in the Susan Duckworth book I bought too. I am so excited to start knitting these, I have a ton of various shades of beige yarn so I need to dye some once I get home from school, and hopefully I can start knitting soon. I really need to get more products ready for the market I'm selling at in November. I'm so excited about these patterns

I'm struggling to come up with a good colorwork sweater idea, and I'm hoping someone can help me. I want to make something fairly complicated with only two colors preferably, and I might be able to make a chart if someone has a good idea. Also any cool old knitting or crochet chart would be helpful. I just need some inspiration from someone
Thanks!

Okay I dyed some of the wool! I used vinegar and food dye, which worked really well! I'm going to knit a swatch before I knit a whole sweater so I can make sure it doesn't bleed. I really like the colors I got!

Ordered 20 pounds of wool rug yarn to use in knitting sweaters!! I'm planning to dye some of it to use for color work (as I love to do) and I'll be selling most of the sweaters I make with this yarn. I'm very excited about it!

Just cast on a new sweater, trying a picot edge for the first time because it's so cute. I'm going to be using another le filet ancien chart for this sweater, I've decided that's my favorite thing to do. It's going to be Joan of Arc themed and I'm really excited. Hopefully I'll get into a fashion show later this year and this sweater can be displayed. If not or afterwards I'll probably sell it at a craft market. It's the first time I'm knitting with such a thin yarn, sport weight I think (it's thrifted and didn't have labels.) I'm really excited to see how it turns out, and hopefully you'll be seeing the finished project soon.

I started a new sweater on Monday, the body is halfway done, I'm so excited to show you! The yarn is Unger fluffy (it's an acrylic yarn), I'm pretty sure it's been discontinued, but you can find it on eBay and such. I got a ton of it at a yard sale and I've knit three sweaters with it so far, this is my fourth. I really love the colors and how it feels, it's great to knit with
