Hey. Out of curiosity, what would you say is the most difficult thing about having your abilities? I’m asking both of you, if it isn’t clear. :}

The most difficult thing, hm?

Having to limit myself. And to not use too much energy. It takes a lot sometimes. I cut my original strength in half because my body just couldn’t fully handle it.

Knowing when it’s necessary for certain abilities, and what to use. I don’t want to abuse my power just because i’m one of the more powerful legendaries..

Possessed by this right before bed instead of, you know, studying for finals. Because I saw someone posting their lineup for the Third Child’s pokémon team and have OPINIONS. Because my doodles aren’t entirely legible:

Before accident: Abra, Fennekin (possibly shiny but I’m not decided), Espurr (didn’t make it), and Sewaddle

The Third Child: Kadabra, Fennekin, Swadloon (all his pokémon suffered burns in the accident but as a grass type Sewaddle had it worst)

With Eli: Scyther (stayed with Liquid after Mantis traded him so he’d evolve), Alakazam, Braixen (evolved late due to fire trauma), Hatenna (met while in England with Eli and appreciated his ability to make loud minds QUIET), and Swadloon

Psycho Mantis: Mega Alakazam (gained the mega stone from the soviets), Delphox, Leavanny (knows every psychic move she can to keep up), and Hatterene

While I am antsy about GameFreak not giving us any news whatsoever on PLZA, this does give me a chance to continue trying to finish my pipe dream of having a Kalos Shiny Living Dex [except Mythicals, possibly even except Legendaries [for now]]

My original plan was to get it done before the game came out, but there’s a little worm in the back of my mind saying “before the first trailer releases…”

And who am I to argue?

so apparently the idea behind Zygarde's very random forms is that it was originally supposed to have TWO 100% forms, one to counter Xerneas and one to counter Yveltal (source)

The Xerneas counter would be a wolf (which became the 10% form), because wolves hunt deer

The Yveltal counter would be a humanoid anti-aircraft gun (which became the 100% form) because it flies

It's signature moves, Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves, were meant to be assigned to each 100% form as a counter

Thousand Arrows works as a smack-down like move to deal with Yvetal as a nod to the anti-aircraft gun thing

Thousand Waves is a trapping move to deal with Xerneas as a nod to how wolves are used for hunting and trapping deer

My incredibly self indulgent goddess themed aura trio ginjinkas 🙏🏾 their names are Euxenia, Ker-ys, and An-Nazarene

My initial sketches and some thoughts below !

"beautiful war goddess" is kind of cheesy, but keeping her naked(!) seemed like a good way to translate some of the more interesting aspects of Yvetal's design into a humanoid form 🙏🏾 her name is both a reference to the mythical Breton city of Ys (a city that drowns after its princess becomes a little Too indulgent), and the greek Keres, mythical harpy women who drag the souls of those who die in violence to the afterlife. She's a bit inspired by Aphrodite-Areia, or "war-like Aphrodite."

Euxenia has a Minoan influence! Her design is also meant to tie with that of Ker-ys, so her forehead accessory replicates Ys' face a bit, and also they're both titties out 😭 I wanted her to have a more elaborate outfit as well, and using a Minoan dress style seemed the best way to go about it while also keeping her chest bare. The giant elf ears are because of the little "horns" on Xerneas' cheek too. Her divine inspiration was Britomartis, who is considered a "Minoan version" of Artemis.

Her name Euxenia combines the Greek Eu (good) and Xenos (strange/foreign).

An-Nazarene was actually the first I designed, so here's a preview of her 10% and 100% forms as well 😭 her name is from the Assyrian word for Nazareth, but also it's similar to an old "full name" I used for AZ (Nazhir) which I enjoy ^.^ because I am a "AZ and Zygarde have design / role similarities" truther, I wanted Zygarde to share some similarities to my design for AZ's mother too ... Lady Arissa ⬇️ (I wanted to add another image for crop but Tumblr won't let me sorry 💔)

An-Nazarene's design is also a little inspired by Longnan dragon cookie from cookie run 😭 I thought about Hera and Hestia both while designing her too... I changed her palette a little bit last second but I think the blue tones feel a bit more "mystic"

I hope Lucius and Gibeon were actually truly friends once, and we get flashbacks to them one day in a future arc adventuring together and showcasing their friendship, something similar to what we got with Roku and Sozin in ATLA:

The Six Heroes Pokemon have shown the cast visions of Lucius before, and presumably Terapagos also has this ability since it was his companion too.

Then, like in the Avatar and the Fire Lord episode, show us Gibeon's betrayal, likely because Lucius saw that Terapagos was opposed to the Laquium (and probably in pain by being exposed to so much of it) and wanted to destroy it, while Gibeon was fascinated by its properties, particularly the delayed aging it granted (and given we see it drove Umbreon into a rage state, potentially have it unbalancing his mind too), leading to them clashing over it.

Perhaps Terapagos goes absolutely haywire Stellar in their fight, leading to it firing off beams everywhere and causing massive amounts of crystals to form, and Gibeon abandons Lucius to be crystallized/trapped. Tho unlike Sozin having some regrets about Roku, it's clear that Gibeon doesn't really regret his actions since he still seeks the Laquium and doesn't seem to care about what he has to do to get his hands on it again.

(Bonus points if Amethio is there to witness this vision, either after taking Terapagos back to his grandfather, or during a fight with the RVT gang for it. I want Terapagos to be like, "Oh, you think his dreams are worth fulfilling? Let me show you what he's REALLY like then. Let's see you follow him after this" and that vision to be what shakes his faith in Gibeon, the thing that drives him into leaving the Explorers for good.)
