im doing an insane zoo in zoo tycoon 1
#im sick so i think i can neglect my responsibilities and play zt1 lol#well i WAS very sick but im mostly better now. still not fully healed soooo#but i should start studying tonite. tbh i dont really care abt exams at this point these classes arent even mandatory lol#I'm just taking them to fuck around and they are fun! unfortunately they do have coursework... but i dont care that much lol#the thing I really should be doing is not even studying for the exams but studying for The Submission. yes. joined a convo on reddit (my first mistake, i know) about Planet Zoo to agree with someone else's wish to have unicorns back, circa Zoo Tycoon 1, and i added that i would also love to see the mermaids from the marine expansion
someone replied to tell me that "keeping women in zoos in 2023 isn't acceptable" and im. im just.
pardner are you aware 1) they were magic statues in ZT1 and 2) mermaids arent real

figured out how to modify + repackage existing zt1 mods to match stats for similar objects in-game and have them still run lmao
#the model work on these is impeccable and they fit so seamlessly into the game#that being said the stats for restaurants/amusement is either over or under powered compared to vanilla counterparts#idk i already know the game strats and i just wanted more buildings to choose from for the hashtag aesthetic#i should figure out how to do these isometric model sprites so i can give back to this community lmao#the modding community is so small that its one forum and your account has to be individually approved when you sign up#so the least i could do after signing up and downloading DOZENS of mods would be to upload a few#when making mods i mostly like to make qol tweaks to vanilla so thats probably what i'd do#theres a lot of incomplete themes in this game that would be fun if they weren't like 2 buildings total

my disk is scratched so the dinosaurs show up fine but my marine animals are invisible
i am trying to find the files to copy over into my game and it is a struggle

I need to autistically play the original zoo tycoon again
#if my laptop ran planet zoo better.... and that game didnt have a too complected learning curve at the start....my power#and i cant get zoo tycoon 2 to run at all for some reason. either from same abandoned ware site or other ones it just wont run#but i never looked too far into it#ohhh going through old forums for mods for zt1 from the 2000s... i have thylacines in my game
