tagged by eru @forerussake mwahhhhhh thank u !!!!!!! it's just past the weekend but here's a little bit more from the frustration fic, which is a fun (for me) glimpse into zhao yunlan's dynamic with his dad in his early days as sid chief, pre-drama canon:

“--but there are other people’s lives on the line in this job, Yunlan,” his father is saying now, fierce and quiet, the way he gets sometimes. “You can’t be sloppy with the things that have been entrusted to you anymore. You’re an adult now, and you need to act like it.”  Zhao Yunlan’s ribs ache. He wants a smoke. He wants to fall asleep for the next twenty hours, and wake up to his mom’s home cooking. He opens his eyes again. His father sighs, short and sharp. “Yunlan, I know you find all this lecturing tiresome. I don’t want to do it either — there are other important things that my time is needed for. But the Special Investigation Department has a reputation to uphold, and I can’t bear to see that reputation tarnished because I convinced Lao Zhang that handing the reins over to my son wouldn’t be a bad decision.”  As if Zhao Yunlan wasn’t already trying to prove that it wasn’t, with every piece of himself that he could scrape together. He pushes off the wall. “Look, dad, I get the message. Do better next time, loud and clear."

had an idea for pacirim au and gettin a bit too much fun thinking about the siblings/family dynamics kajsdnaksd

Levi is a retired jaeger pilot, still in military to help with jaeger program :tm:, 31 was saved by Levi and he later adopted him (the third one) (Levi just kept adopting children in this AU it's so funny)

Levi and 31 belongs to me Auberon belongs to @zrllosyn Jordam n Fen belongs to @ajitated

First child is Auberon who kept following him around after he saved him from a kaiju attack and only listen to him, so he adopted baby auberon (who did not expect levi to be dumbass n also kept throwing himself into every kaiju in existence) gotta be the one to drag him away from fights asjdanjdks Is the responsible one in the family n the one with the grounding priviledge

Second one is Jordam (who may or may not be actual bio daughter) and just latched herself on him so he has no choice but to take her in lmao is currently a jaeger pilot as well. Her's called Jörmungandr

Third one is 31 (still haven't decide his name for this au.. yet) now has personal beef against kaijus and wanna be a jaeger pilot too but Levi is very vehemently denied that. at least until fen help 31 convince him uwu

Meanwhile Levi over here used to fight every kaijus so other people don't have to suffer against them. But one person can only go so far, and he hit his limit on the mission where he saved 31. End up suffering heavy damages on his right side. Can barely feel anything on that side and no more depth perception. The cane help with the latter part at least.

So yeah, Levi is not very thrilled that TWO of his kids want to join the fray when he had tried very hard for them to not have to. Unfortunately for him (and his heart rate), all of them inherit his stubbornness lmao

Also very funny that the one time Levi doesn't want to retire, he is forced to (by Auberon)
