Hey ZR Fandom, guess who's back from jail! I finally quit my toxic job and now I'm trying so hard to remember how to draw these characters (mission failed I guess).

Well, now they’re even!

My very first attempt at digital "art." I don't feel at all bad that this took me an hour and a half, and looks like a kid made it in ten minutes. It was really fun!

I used a 20 year old wacom pad with a screen slightly larger than a deck of cards courtesy of my beloved former roomie, and MS paint, so I guess there's probably better tools out there if I ever get good enough that they're worth getting. @dixiedeadshake

I collected a golden sports bra during the community run so I had to draw Five in it. Is it comfortable? I feel like it can’t be. But she’s thriving.

I realized recently that I've spent the last few years almost exclusively working on F&C.

But I want to continue to grow and push myself as an artist. So I've started taking a little time to work on projects outside of the comic.

And I'm very excited to be working on this one again! <3

09/10/2024: Moon Girl.

How's about another Black Superhero? Or in this case Superheroine? Meet Lunella Lafayette a.k.a Moon Girl! School Girl genius by day and Roller skating Vigilante by night and uh after-school too.

Lunella appears in Disney+ cartoon series "Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur" and I would have totally drawn my take on Lunella 's prehistoric partner in Crime fighting but.. the thing is Work is getting pretty busy people are buying things for Christmas...So I just haven't had chance to do so 😔.

I had the realisation it would be very likely that Sam uses chopsticks on the regular and it made me happy. I just love the thought of a multicultural Abel where everyone is free to share and celebrate their cultures 🥰

(Please note I am not at all fluent in chopstick etiquette except for knowing a few things such as you’re not meant to point them at anyone, so I apologise if I’ve got anything wrong here.)

From my fic, Glass. I explained my whole approach, such as it is, on Rofflenet.

The blue and grey - institutional colors. I actually based the beds and swinging bathroom half- door from the psych units I've worked on. I was going for a feeling of cold, impersonal, walls closing in, no privacy ever. The inhabitant would always feel exposed and yet trapped, like a bug in a jar. Very little softness or warmth. I hope that comes through.

Anyways, drawing this helped me get past a mental block. And I don't know why it posted twice but it's linked to ao3 and I'm too lazy to figure out which one I can delete without having to relink it there.
