My favorite part of the holidays (really any holiday) is people celebrating it with their animals.

My cats don't know its Hannukah! All they know is they're getting an extra tin of salmon for no reason! My friend's dog probably doesn't know it's Chinese New Year, but by god does he go ham for the specially-made (peanut butter) moon cakes he gets! Those bears at the zoo probably don't recognize Christmas, but they get a special meat-filled pumpkin anyway!

Idk, there's just something endearing about including our Creatures in our rituals, even if said Creatures don't know what the fuck is going on.

586 words on Only the Good today! It's a slow march to the end of this chapter, made slower by the fact that keeping these characters on track is like herding cats. Just when I get them going in one direction, they decide to do something completely different.

Still, I hope by the end of this chapter I can get a few more badass Abigail moments like this one:

The dinosaurs in jurassic park being mixed with frogs is clever and conveniently also means theres an in universe explanation for them not having feathers, but i do think they should go one step further and have like a little exhibit in the visitors centre or something with a plaque like "more recent research suggests many of the species you will see today likely had feathers, to make up for this inaccuracy we would like to present you the following:" and it's a little terrarium with a frog they've genetically engineered to have feathers, yknow to even it out
