Spoiler warning for Tae's spinoff

So, you know how, at the end of gaiden, Eikichi mentions that his sister got married and knocked up...?

What if Sakura is her child?

The times add up, Sakura was born on 1992, around the time Eikichi says his sister got pregnant. It could also explain why Tae loves Sakura since the very beggining, Sakura reminds her of Yuko.

And sure, one could argue that Tae doesn't remember anything from when she was alive, but she does, at least subconsciously.

In gaiden Tae mentions that both she and Yuko were big fans of Junko, now who does Tae follows around a lot during the first episodes of season one? Junko.

Also explains why Tae enjoys being an idol, she wanted to be one before she died.

Also, if Sakura was Yuko's daughter, it would make sense for her tombstone to be next to Tae's, since it would be closer to Tae's. Yuko could visit both her best friend and her daughter at once. (Wow that's depressing!!)

That's my theory at least haha...

TLDR: Sakura is Tae's best friend's daughter, and Tae kind of remembers a few things from her past even if she doesn't seem to.

Tae is hands down best girl, and if you haven't already I suggest reading the spinoff/prequel nanga 'Zombieland Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie'. I personally won't consider it canon unless we see anything in season 3 from it. And I'm waiting (very impatiently) for news on season 3.

Be it in Gaiden or the movie or somewhere else down the line I really hope we get some more info on Jofuku, bc he’s honestly such an interesting character. How did he end up as the spirit of Saga? Was the curse brought on by something he did? He seems to genuinely care about the kids he takes in, but he must know that in using them to try and break the curse, he’s almost definitely ensuring that they’re gonna die young. Of the three we know of the lucky one is Kiichi, who probably lived the rest of his life in exile with permanent trauma. Tae never lived to see her 30s, and Kotaro seems to be headed down the same path. Idk I just need more lore about these people and if we don’t eventually get it I am going to go absolutely feral

Dumb thought but: Manager dude (shut up I'm tired I'll kick myself later) mentions a time limit in episode one of the new season. The recent manga revealed Tae is a monster-hunting office lady (seriously, is that like... actually canon?? I love this seris but it does make you feel like your high half the time...). What if the time limit is when Tae fully wakes up? After all, zombies probably count as monsters...
