After reading Zero's Journey (loved it) I had a random thought in my mind. Is it possible for a holiday town resident to integrate into another holiday? Would the resident even survive living in a different holiday? I've barely seen any theories about this, so I would love to hear some thoughts about it!

I actually made a post thinking about this exact same thing in regards to Mr. Myzer! Truth be told, I thought this would've been a prominent / big thing in Zero's Journey, since they hinted to it - I was a little disappointed that Myzer's arc didn't lead him to Halloween Town, and how that would've affected the holiday/towns/citizens. We could've gotten a HUGE insight to potential exchanges between the holiday towns!

It makes me wonder if it's possible for Residents to move into a different holiday/town, since they have a purpose to fulfill for the humans with where they are. As I mentioned in the post, an Elf in Halloween Town would be a strange thing - but if Myzer's menacing shadows/past are anything to go by, is it possible for different creatures to integrate into another holiday? So long as they serve the humans, would it be alright? That they all come to the same goal? Or does each holiday prohibit their inhabitants from living in another world, since it would cause another catastrophe like Jack Skellington's takeover of Christmas? Is it magically, or set by fate, to be *impossible*? 🤔

Long Live the Pumpkin Queen *lightly* delves into the Holiday leaders working together, but I would love to know more, if they have certain rules or codes of conduct when it comes to this sort of thing. I like to think they'd share their holidays with each other, teach them about it and maybe even celebrate together! I'm sure that, inevitably, the question would come - could someone from one holiday, simply choose to live in a different town? LLTPQ mentions the leaders/residents *visiting* the other worlds/towns, but I'd love to know what the limits are to that.

One of TNBC's takeaways is that the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. Jack Skellington *couldn't* take charge of Christmas, he belongs to Halloween, and thus had to find his inspiration elsewhere. Maybe there's a limitation that each soul is destined to a holiday and cannot mix/move elsewhere. It's a sad thought, but just one of the theories, if the movie is anything to go by..!

I almost forgot that Ah Xu lost his student's would-be wife somewhere. Of course we have to save her. WOH, episode 16, part 9. ZZS, WKX, ZCL and YBY meet in the cave, who unexpectedly appeared with a mysterious package. ZCL runs out of the cave and calls ZZS and after a while notices that ZZS and WKX are accompanied by a strange man. The three men look at ZCL, who approaches ZZS. ZZS tells the boy that the strange man is YBY and after a while introduces YBY, ZCL as his student. YBY looks at the boy and says that ZCL looks dull. Then he loudly states that each next generation is worse than the previous one. Hearing this, WKX states that no matter how stupid ZCL is, he will still be better than the old goats who don't know good manners. Irritated YBY turns to WKX and asks if ZCL is his child and asks him if he is from Siji Manor. WKX is confused when he hears this last question and looks furtively at ZZS. An awkward silence falls, which is broken by a voice from the package demanding that someone be released from it. WKX asks YBY who is in the package. And YBY asks who WKX wants to see there. The spiteful WKX replies that it is YBY. YBY says that he must then dash WKX's hopes, which greatly irritates WKX, that ZZS has to stop him from reacting more violently. WKX does not give up and calling YBY a frail playboy, an old lizard, YBY asks WKX who he thinks he is, because if he wants to fight, they can go outside. Increasingly irritated, WKX breaks free from ZZS's grip and tells ZZS not to hold him back. ZZS grabs WKX tighter and asks him to wait, but WKX demands that YBY leave with him. ZZS asks him to let go and turns to YBY saying that it's raining outside and that they can't choose a better day for the fight. WKX slowly calms down and ZZS calls him Brother Wen. Meanwhile, ZCL approaches the package from which a voice is still asking for this person to be released. ZCL removes the material and a face that looks like a child's face appears there. Terrified, the boy jumps back and runs to ZZS. Long Xiao calls for them to release him. WKX asks ZCL who he expected to be here. ZCL replies that he thought it was GXL. ZZS says that the people who kidnapped her want to use her to get the Glazed Armor. As long as they don't have it, they won't hurt GC's daughter. They have time to save her. ZCL agrees with ZZS. WKX adds that he almost forgot that Ah Xu lost his student's would-be wife somewhere. He explains that it's obvious that they have to save her. ZZS approaches Long Xiao and wants to ask him something. Meanwhile, HH enters the hideout where the old couple took GXL. LL asks HH what happened, and HH replies that they went to so much trouble, and it all came to nothing. The old couple is surprised. HH states that at least they have a girl, and he says that he has to think about whether they should use her in negotiations with ZJ, or to trick that fool SS. The woman asks HH who has Glazed Armor. The appearance of YBY causes his conflict with WKX to intensify, for a while both men throw insults at each other, until WKX finally decides that they can solve this by fighting. ZZS maintains common sense because he knows who YBY is, and WKX is annoyed by YBY's assumption that WKX also comes from Siji Manor. ZZS manages to control the situation and thanks to ZCL they discover that YBY took LX with him. HH who arrived at the hideout where GC's daughter is is wondering how to use her because he did not expect such a turn of events. There is no Glazed Armor and there is no chance for him to become the leader of Jianghu. Another scene in which ZZH and GJ wonderfully show their relationship and the bond that has developed between them.

Half-formed DT thoughts (spoilers)

I think it’s interesting that a lot of characters in Dawntrail are pretty decent with good intentions but still hurt others. I think we’re in a fandom understanding stage rn where everyone is trying to point fingers at specific characters like Well Cahciua and Erenville don’t understand each other which means one or the other is Bad but all it really means is that they don’t understand each other. And the tragedy comes from them not having the time or words to do that. Because that can happen even when you strive to understand one another…

same with like, I don’t believe that Gulool Ja Ja was offscreen abusing Zoraal Ja for some reason to make him Like That when all the evidence we see is that he’s a good father, but what we do see is that Zoraal Ja was resistant to communicating his feelings and Gulool Ja Ja didn’t realize he needed to reach out. So that festered despite GJJ still loving him as a misguided son and ZJ seeing his father as the ideal he has to meet. Obviously Zoraal Ja has done other stuff that makes him A Bad Guy but it’s not as cut and dry as fandom character processing and moral categorization always tries to be lol

Sphene is in a similar thing where she’s a foil to Wuk Lamat bc they ultimately have the same motivations. If Wuk Lamat had been through the same situations she could’ve come to the same mistakes and all that, and no matter what happens somebody’s home and way of life gets destroyed. do you specify byakuya's mother's name as anastazja with a zj to differentiate her from the canonical anastasia togami (the mother of the weather triplets, asa/hiru/yoru togami) from the side novels?

It's mostly that Anastazja is the Polish spelling of the name, and I headcanon his mother as being from Poland. I also headcanon her maiden name as being Polanski, which is what Togami used as part of his disguise in the novel. These are all headcanons of course!!

The name means resurrection and Togami at the end of the competition becomes The Togami, so to speak. He goes from being out of the competition ('dead' as he refers to the exiled siblings) to being the only one 'alive'. He resurrects, in a way.

This is a sad thought, but what would happen if someone found Gamzee and ZJ? Would they take ZJ away or something worse?

Actually have a few concepts for that!

-Gamzee getting badly hurt and ZJ screaming and crying and their telepathy screams into the minds of ppl nearby, forcing ppl to become either curious or panicked and going towards.

-Gamzee getting sick and unresponsive from malnutrition and generally unhealthy and ZJ finding them and getting help.

-Someone sees ZJ get snatched into the forest and panics and tries to get him. They catch up and find ZJ with Gamzee, obviously happy comfortable.

-Gamzee coming out in attack mode when they find that ZJ is in danger before grabbing him and running.

None of these situations is ZJ taken away because Gamzee is obviously a caring and good guardian, and ZJ is greatly taken care of and loves Gamzee very much. It obviously would damage ZJ way more to be taken away then to stay with Gamzee.

Though I'm can't guarantee ppl won't be SUS of Gamzee tho.

I'd imagine Gamzee would work themselves into interaction much more after.

Of course I know that. That's why I'd like to congratulate this man. Ah Xu don't say anything. We'll see how the warrior Gao turns the tide and responds to this conspiracy. WOH, episode 15, part 9. ZZS wants to talk some sense into WKX. When ZZS says that GC was framed, WKX replies that he knows about it and adds that that's why he'd like to congratulate this man personally. ZZS looks at WKX who tells ZZS not to say anything and adds that they'll see how the warrior GC turns the tide and responds to this conspiracy. Around the monument, all the gathered warriors start talking over each other. There's some chaos. GC asks the gathered to be quiet. After a call, there's silence. GC explains that there may have been some misunderstanding between LX's father and GC. GC states that he doesn't have any selfish thoughts regarding Arsenal. One of the warriors asks if it's a misunderstanding or something more. And he adds that GC should not mislead people and demands the release of Glazed Armor. Another warrior repeats his demand. Driven to the extreme, GC swears by the Heavens that what he says is true. He adds that when they defeat Ghost Valley, LX and GC will release the scrolls from the Arsenal to all sects. If he is dishonest, let him be cut into a thousand pieces. Everyone gathered is silent, so GC says that if no one objects, the decision in this matter has been made. After a while, the beggar turns to LX and tells him that he has come a long way, so he can go to bed. One of the students of GC's sect takes the wheelchair from LX. GC tells ZJ to stand up from his knees. ZJ is still kneeling and GC loudly raises a demand. In response, ZJ bows to GC, bowing his head towards the podium. LX smiles seeing what is happening. SS helps ZJ to stand up. ZCL is surprised by what has happened. GC approaches the boy and tells him not to be afraid. He asks the boy to come with him. They both go to the edge of the platform, ZCL wants to say something but GC tells the audience that he wants to tell them one thing. He points to ZCL and explains that the boy is the son of ZYS and he is the last descendant of the Mirror Lake Sect. ZZS and WKX listen attentively in silence to GC's speech. GC states that he has decided to give ZCL his daughter in marriage. In the future, ZCL will be his son-in-law and together with his daughter they will lead the Mirror Lake Sect and the Yueyang Sect. ZCL does not know how to behave due to the agreement he made with ZZS. ZZS is also surprised. GC goes on to say that when this happens he will become a monk and will walk his own path with Buddha. He will never interfere in the affairs of this world again. GC tries with all his might to control the unfavorable course of events for him. He promises that after defeating Ghost Valley, he will give the scrolls from Arsenal to the sects. Few people believe him. So he decides to use his last trump card and says that ZCL will marry GCL. WKX watches with joy as GC stands on the edge of the abyss, and ZZS fears for the fate of ZCL after GC's statement. Here we have a dynamic scene at the monument and a static scene with ZZS and WKX. ZZH and GJ are excellent in such quiet scenes where they only play with facial expressions and small gestures.
