Gigantron and Leito seem like they'd be really good friends to me, plus both their daughters were adopted by Ultramen and I think that's hilarious

For those who might not recognise him, Leito is Zero's host in Ultraman Geed! Leito is the father of a little girl named Mayu and Zero ends up super attached to her and declares himself to be her dad😭

Ultraman Geed: Fatherhood

Right from the get go, Zero was introduced to serve as Belial's foil. Upon rewatching Geed, I noticed the writers once again applying this trope but in circumstances of the present instead of the past.

The circumstance: fatherhood.

SPOILERS FOR ULTRAMAN GEED UP AHEAD!!!

Belial is the 'father' of the MC, Geed/Riku. He created his 'son' with the sole purpose of using him as a pawn. You'd think the evil mastermind would personally raise the boy to groom him into the perfect obedient underling, right?

Wrong. Bro handed him off to Kei & both of them decided the best course of action was to leave the baby at the observatory.

Belial intentionally, fully consciously created a child (him being a clone doesn't change the fact that said clone at the time was a baby in need of care) with no intention of taking responsibility for him. In other words, he's a deadbeat dad.

Zero on the other hand couldn't have been anymore different. His host is Leito, a salaryman & a father. However, there's no way he could've known about the second part before choosing Leito as his host. Mayu was a variable that just happened.

He was taken off guard but took it in stride. Now, he could've remained apathetic to Leito's role as a father & what it entails (i.e. the bond a father shares with his daughter) afterwards but he doesn't.

He sees what it's like to be a parent. He learns to understand how precious humans are as individuals who are a sum of a family instead of a species. When Mayu is threatened, he doesn't just protect her because it's the right thing to do or for Leito's sake. He does it bcz Mayu, the 'daughter' he never thought he'd meet, is someone Zero cares for.

Zero is the dad that chose to step into the role when he didn't have to, when he had the choice to choose not to & face no repercussions for it.

Zero Meets a Cat, Finally

Zero finally gets to meet a cat, just like he's heard about. Who'd have thought Mebius was right?

“Leito!” Zero startled his poor host, who was simply trying to get home from work. It had been a while since Zero had first appeared, and though Leito was mostly used to him, there were occasions when he was still startled by Zero speaking up. As it was, Leito was wondering why Zero wanted his attention.

“What is it?” He asked, quietly. Talking to ones self was probably a good way to get people to look at you. Leito wasn’t exactly sure, but he imagined such, at least. But he preferred speaking verbally, so he simply did so as quietly as possible, at least when others were around.

“There, over off to the side,” Leito looked around until Zero made an “aha!” sound, telling Leito he was looking in the right spot. “Is that what I think it is?”

Leito squinted, trying to figure out what Zero was talking about. He takes a step or so closer, then realizes what he’s looking at. Looking up from the ground was a cat, eyeing Leito.

With a tilt of his head, Leito asked, “You mean that cat?”

“So that is a cat?” Zero sounded a bit excited, though he was clearly trying to contain it. “I... Haven’t actually seen one before.”

If Leito could look at Zero, he would have given a look of confusion. Regardless, he still made that face, just without directing it at anyone in particular. “Haven’t you been to multiple Earths before?”

Leito was pretty sure Zero would have been shrugging at that. “Well, yeah.” He responded, “But that doesn’t mean I’ve actually seen a cat. Usually, I’m only on Earth for a brief amount of time.”

Without much more notice, Zero took control, taking Leito’s glasses off and tucking them away. He moves towards the cat, who quickly gets up, taking another moment to regard them. As Zero came closer, though, the cat dashed off.

“Aww...” Zero was... Zero was pouting.

“It’s a stray,” Leito responded, “They aren’t necessarily sociable.”

Zero let Leito regain control, though he clearly wasn’t happy about the cat dashing off. Returning his glasses to his face, Leito decided he should probably try to make him feel better. “We can come back tomorrow and bring some treats, maybe the cat will let us get close.”

“Yeah! I, uh, I mean sure.” 

Several days later...

“Leito!” Zero was practicly beaming, “He’s letting me pet him!” It was true. The stray cat had, after several days, finally allowed Leito - or rather Zero - to pet him. Unsurprisingly, Zero was very excited about this.

“He’s just as soft as Mebius said cats were!”

“Mebius?”

“Another Ultra,” Zero explained, shrugging slightly, “He uh, he really likes cats. One of the many Earth things he talks about. Alongside his friends and curry and the like.”

“Well,” Leito began, “How do you feel about cats now that you’ve gotten to pet one?”

Zero paused, thinking about his response. Finally, he nodded and said, “I think his excitement is well warranted.” Leito just laughed at his response as Zero continued to pet the cat.

Quite some time later, in the Land of Light...

Zero didn’t stop by the Land of Light too often, simply because he was busy - really, that was the only reason, he swore - but he was stopping by now. And whatever luck may have had it, he crossed paths with Mebius that day.

“Hey, Mebius!” Zero called out, gaining Mebius’ attention.

“Hello Zero!” Mebius seemed as cheerful as he often was.

Zero crossed his arms, “Hey, uh, you know how you said cats were really sfot and nice?”

“Oh yeah!” Mebius beamed, “Cats are great! Especially when they purr or-” It was clear that Mebius was about to go on a long tangent about cats.

So, Zero stopped him, hoping not to get held up for over an hour. Again. Of course last time it was three or four hours and spanned a few more topics than cats. Still. “Anyway, I found out you were right.”

“You met a cat then?”

Rubbing the back of his head, Zero responded, “Uh, yeah. I guess I see why you like them so much.”

Mebius gave him a knowing look, “Cats are wonderful!”

With a shrug, Zero nodded in response, “Yeah, I guess they are.”

How about ultraman, do you know ultraman?

Ultraman have distinctive characteristics that they either fused with human/have human host or having human form. Now not many the ultra inside human having difficulty when they inside human, because ultra mostly only appear and 'take control' when they fight but the rest they let their human host to living their live and the ultra not bothering them except emergency situations.

But of course there's ultra like ultraman zero that very absurd and like talking but he mostly let his host live their lives. But what make more interesting that mostly ultra didn't too much asking about humans stuff, it's like they already knowing things so it make their host more comfortable with ultra inside them. (Then there's evil ultra but that different story and they definitely harm they own host) .

Now can you imagine one of ultraman host , I will pick leito igaguri (ultraman zero host) meet Sam. While zero like months inside leito and sometimes bothering leito life work zero but still zero still behave.

And there's Sam that feel gonna go crazy ever time different Autobots inside his body and too curious and make his friends thinking that he using drugs. Sam will be so jealous with leito because got alien that more behaving inside him.

Can you imagine three Ultras sharing one host going to be like?

We already saw the Rider version in Den-O and Zi-O. Nevertheless, I was curious how Tsuburaya going to play with this concept.

Lumina, walks back into the living room: Get over here.

Leito, He winces as she leans in for a kiss: Not... not right now.

Lumina: Okay. (goes to check on their daughter Mayu.)

Zero, laughs: Come on, are you gonna tell me who that is?
