Summary:

I don’t know if you are aware of Chinese odyssey 3, it was kind of like a extra sequel to the series that no one really asked for because it was like a decade later it was made.

So the movie kind of like rewrites the entire story where Six Eared is the “Wukong” at the start of the movie that tried to kill Sanzang, but wait, it was all just a cover-up made by the Jade emperor cause he made a mistake in like the book of destiny or whatever that real Sun Wukong doesn’t exist and instead there is only Joker who was born 500 years later, and he is supposed to go back in time to be Sun Wukong and finish the journey.

Six Eared agreed to play “Wukong” until real Wukong came for the Jade Emperor until he got betrayed himself and was going to be killed because the Jade Emperor didn’t want anyone to know he made a mistake. A lot of bullshit happens that doesn’t matter but the point being Jade Emperor needed Six Eared help again to pretend to be Wukong and bribes him with the knowledge that he has a son with one of his ex girlfriends (terrible knowledge but also got with White Bone Demon and Princess Iron Fan while he was “Wukong”) and his Candle Stick ex girlfriend gave birth to a baby… who is Sanzang in the movie…

I don’t think that movie was well received, because they original series was so well beloved… but it was a fucking wild ride

Zixia grew up as the child of Chinese immigrants, having moved to the United States a couple years before her birth. Her father, the leading perfectionist of the family and lawyer at heart, her mother the woman who’d left a life dictated by her family behind in order to start anew with her husband in the States. The girl followed in her parents footsteps, holding onto their desire for her to make something of herself although it became obvious quite early on that despite the ever flowing perfectionism, Zixia herself had more of a creative outlet and less of a drive to become a lawyer like her father.

Still, the girl grew into a teenager that put effort into her studies and eventually was accepted into Harvard Business School. It was during her time there that Zixia came across the events and venues that eventually would allow her to consider turning her soon be done business degree into something the young woman would use to build her own business; the planning of weddings and events. While perhaps a seemingly small goal, it worked perfectly with her wish for the idealistic path.

BIOGRAPHY:

With the first sunlight of that day Zixia opened her eyes to the world. Rumor has it that ravens could be heard overhead when she was born; a sign her mother saw as proof that she was destined to be a Ravenclaw. Her father is said to have played the piano for hours out of sheer joy at the birth of his daughter. Her family was a circle of warmth and kindness; purebloods with a sense of the old yet respect for the new. Zixia grew up knowing that there was more than simply blood purity to hope and wish for. This is all the one that I am AWARE of at the moment but as you can see a lot more Retellings/Continuations are where Wukong's SO dies and this is mostly for the case of keeping the status quo and moving on with the original plot. They are more like additions of the OG story that let Wukong have his character moment.

It is far more with Alternatives Universes or with other Continuations that there are more 'alive at least' SOs, some in the case of reincarnation or being in a different setting for the plot otherwise. Some of them don't even end up WITH WUKONG (most likely save their lives).

Just depends on what you are watching but traditionally Wukong does not have alive SOs for the sake of the plot/character development, while in other he has them alive where he is less Sun Wukong or is it taken out of the xiyouji context.

If you have any more please let me know cause a lot of plot summaries just DONT include any mention of a romance subplot. I can only imagine WHY.
