Zoldyck Family Reacts To Kianna Being Pregnant

Illumi

📍 To be honest he didn’t have much of a reaction at first, the idea of pregnancy was something that was expected of him, so in a way he was happy but not for the right reasons at least not at first. 📍As things progressed and the pregnancy got further along to more protective he got and the more he realised that he wanted this for himself and not his family. 📍He spent more time at home than before, but that didn’t mean that he was taking on less work, it just meant that he was getting everything done much quicker so that he could get back home. 📍Literally pays people to make sure that Kianna is safe, Hisoka included, as much as he distrusted the man he was good at his job when he’s paid for it, though he warns him about getting too close. 📍The true weight of everything settles in when Yuki is finally born and he’s holding him. He saw how happy Kianna was to have him and realised that the small family was all that he needed.

Milluki

🦟 Milluki honestly did not care, it did not change anything that he thought about his life or the way that it would play out. 🦟 It did however change the way that he viewed his older brother and his girlfriend, as far as he was concerned they were the scariest pair that they had seen past his parents. 🦟 It honestly scared him that carrying the weight of another human didn’t stop Kianna from chasing him down and demanding whatever stash of snacks he had in his room that she wanted (probably where Yuki got the sweet tooth from). 🦟 Milluki was terrified of the mood swings so he often stayed out of the way, only ever appearing when it was absolutely necessary. 🦟 Like is said, nothing changed for him apart from the fact that he spent more time in his room (which he didn’t hate) and he had less snacks (which he definitely hated).

Killua

⚡ Killua was the one that seemed the most afraid of it but it wasn’t because he was worried about his place in the family or anything close to that. ⚡ He remembered the way that Illumi treated him and worried that his child would somehow be treated worse, it took a long time for him to talk to Kianna about it, mostly because she was never alone anymore. ⚡ However he did see the way that Illumi treated Kianna, he had to admit that his brother had changed but he still didn’t believe that the way that he trained his child would change. ⚡ Killua had even decided that if Kianna and Yuki needed it he’d come back and he’d be the one that protected them. He loved Kianna and wanted to keep her safe; this is something that he could do. ⚡ Killua came to terms with it, he wasn’t sure that he was happy with Illumi having a kid but ultimately it wasn’t his choice and he knew that so instead he would wait and see if he was ever needed.

Alluka

🎭 Alluka was happy about the idea of a baby and a bigger family, her understanding didn’t really go past that. 🎭 Alluka had no care for the structure of the family, she barely knew her brother past him wanting to use her as a weapon. 🎭 Alluka liked Kianna and assumed that she would raise a good child and even despite her own experiences, she could see that Illumi was different around Kianna. 🎭 Alluka didn’t have to worry too much about Kianna because she wasn’t around her very much but if she ever was with her she was careful, not that she was anything different when she was with Kianna before. 🎭 Alluka just didn’t see the importance of it all, she still had a lot to learn about the world and honestly she didn’t think about it too much.

Kalluto

��� Kalluto was actually excited, this would be the first baby in a long time and it would be the first time that he’d be able to properly remember someone growing up from baby to adult. 🪭 Kalluto loved having Kianna around more, Illumi had her on the grounds more than usual and Kalluto was usually the one that would be around to help her out. 🪭 He’d often get whatever Kianna wanted when Illumi wasn’t there to make sure that everything was taken care of. 🪭 He worried about Kianna towards the end of the pregnancy considering she was in pain, but she constantly told him that it was normal. He had never seen a pregnancy before so everything was new and concerning. 🪭 Kalluto was quiet, careful and efficient whenever he was with her, making sure that Kianna was properly cared for no matter what she needed.

Silva

🟣 Silva was only interested in one thing and that was the parent that he was going to take after. He wanted to know the ability that the baby would share with his parents. 🟣 He kept Kianna healthy and safe considering she was carrying the baby of one of the members of the Zoldyck family, he expected the baby to give him something in return after all it was Illumi’s son. 🟣 He expected a sort of dedication to the family once the child was born to pay back for everything that he was giving. 🟣 During this time, it was the most the Silva had really spoken to Kianna, going as far as asking her how she was feeling, even if he had no intention of listening or caring about the answer he was given. 🟣 Silva did no more than what he deemed necessary, he wanted a strong, healthy new member to the family and that was all.

Kikyo

👒 She worried to say the least, with Killua being as aloof as he was there was all the chance that someone more dedicated could be picked for the family head, and there was all the chance that it could be Illumi’s child, should the genes favour him. 👒 She became even more worried when she found out that it was a boy, no word of a lie contemplated orchestrating some kind of accident, she never ended up doing it though, knowing that if it failed that she would be worse off. 👒 You would have thought this would be the time that they both ended up bonding but instead it seemed to push them further apart, she almost seemed jealous. 👒 It gets worse the further into the pregnancy Kianna gets, it was a problem she could do nothing about and yet no one else seemed to see it. 👒 When the baby was born and took after his parents in features and ability, she was relieved, she no longer had to worry about Killua’s place in the family and could go back to ignoring that Kianna even existed.

Zeno

🐉 Zeno was actually excited about the new addition to the family, in part because of the new power but also because the family was expanding. 🐉 I truly think that given his age Zeno appreciates the dedication that each of his grandchildren show towards the family, there were still other things that should be focused on in life and he hoped that the rest would follow the example of their older brother. 🐉 He presented the baby with a family trinket as the first of the next generation of Zoldyck’s, nothing fancy but something to commemorate the occasion. 🐉 Zeno did see it as part of his duty to look after Kianna when he was at the house, given the fact that he was one of the strongest members of the family. 🐉 Zeno wanted to welcome the baby into the family and allow them the life that each of the others have had, nothing more and nothing less.

This is actually a pretty helpful question, because they will be meeting with his family in the future!

Silva: sees this as an opportunity to use you to bring Killua home. when you don’t accept his gifts and money in exchange for convincing killua to come home, he gets a little pissed.

Kikyo: Oh she loathes you. Her precious baby is calling you mom, clinging to you for comfort!? If Silva would allow it, you would be dead already

Zeno: He’s one of the more normal people, and sees you a kind and nurturing person. He knows that killua loves you dearly, and would break if you were to get hurt

Illumi: at first, he is similar to Silva in seeing you as a way to bring Killua home. He asks you out on a date to try and woo you. If he has your heart, he’ll also have killua in the palm of his hand. But… you’re kind. He sees how much you genuinely love and care for Killua and… it makes him feel a certain way. He’s never seen someone care for another in such a way. Illumi thinks he’s fallen in love at first, and follows you around for a bit, but he actually sees you as a mother figure

Kalluto: Honestly he’s a bit jealous of Killua. He wants that same motherly love, to have someone protect and nurture him. Maybe in the future you’re able to do just that for him!

Milluki: thinks you’re attractive, but doesn’t really care much besides that

Alluka: you’re like her big sister! she always clings to you when she visits, tugging on your sleeve and giggling as she clings to you!

SHOPPING SPREE

Zeno had never seen you so excited to buy some clothing items that he did now. Granted, you loved shopping but usually you abused Milluki's pc to look at what you liked and then order them.

He was glad, on one hand to see you smiling and laughing, dragging him from store to store, traying clothes on, and tempting him to buy something that wasn't a tunic for once. On the other hand, why did he have to take all the bags of items you already bought? You had butlers with for a reason.

He didn't even begin to ask you for a break when you grabbed his hands so fast that he didn't have time to react, before being dragged in yet another store.

Thankfully, your stomach interced for him, and you stopped at a nearby restaurant to eat something, while a butler went to put the things in the car.

Lunch was a quiet affair, you talked about nothing and everyhting, simply enjoying the feeling of spending some quality time with each other.

It didn't last long before he got dragged into another shopping run. You were glad they had so much money for once.

He had seen it all now. He felt like one of those spouses he had seen on some movies being left at the mercy of their better half, while being busy jostling around too many bags.

Yes, he complained about it very loudly, and you couldn't help but laugh at it. You knew very well that he was enjoying himself.

Still, he loved the part that came after said shopping spree. Settling down, soending time close with each other and enjoying a nice cuo of tea, by the fire.

Oh, how he cherished those moments with you. It made it much more sweeter after a day full and energetic like the one you all had.

He was damn lucky to have you in his life.

The Host | Yandere Zoldyck Family

“I’m so happy, we were able to locate the portal so quickly! Now you all can return to your world without breaking the space-time continuum!” You mused, happily sipping on the piping hot tea in front of you.

Whether you liked it or not, you wouldn’t have refused this cup. After all, it was specially crafted for and given to you by the reclusive Zoldycks. It was an honor—more like a miracle that you were being served an un-poisoned cup of tea. 

You were used to prickly (read as: murderous) anomalies that were ejected into the aimless void of time. As per your occupation you housed and befriended said anomalies until it was time that they returned to their dimensions.

When you were selected at the end of your life for this position, the galactic overlords in charge assured you that this was a duty perfect for you. That no matter what, your tenants would find themselves comforted by you during their time there. 

You begged to disagree even though none of your tenants had successfully ended your life yet. You prepared yourself for the day they one day would. 

“Yes, it will be a shame to lose contact with a host as pleasant as you.” 

Zeno smiled, closing his eyes as brought his own cup to his mouth. Letting a hand fall over your heart you silently thanked him. Another hand reached for you tearing your attention away from the former head.

“It is a shame your work keeps you so busy!” Kikyo cried, holding your hand. Gingerly running the pads of her fingers over your knuckles. 

“Ah, but I feel as though I haven’t worked a day.”

“Oh, so you’re saying you like this job of yours?” The old man raised his brow.

“Of course! When I’m not hosting I’m free to do what I please and the guests that come by always make things interesting.”

Memories of the various visitors came to mind as you smiled; Kikyo puckered her lip in a pout. Her clutch on your hand had gotten slightly tighter, nothing alarming but noticeable.

“But don’t you feel overworked? Tired? Lonely?”

“There’s always the other people in the town.”

“Really? I wouldn’t have expected them to have any intelligible conversation.”

You dismissed the slight towards your community, it’d be impossible for her to realize their worth within the year. Granted they weren’t particularly strong or inquisitive; it wasn’t like they were built to be outstanding anyway. Nonetheless, they were kind to you and always understanding when it came to the guests. Not once have you needed to send a complaint to upper management. Everyone played their prescribed roles without fail.

“They can be really pleasant, once you get to know them.”

Zeno sighed, “So you say but I can’t imagine you not caring for them. You're always so forgiving.”

“Well…they have their flaws.”

“Ah! You’re too humble (Y/n)! The least they can do is honor your contribution to their pathetic lives!”

“Thank you, Mrs. Zoldyck but a cake every once in a while is good enough for me.”

“Ah! So simple (Y/n), it screams you no nothing of luxury!”

“Really I feel as though I’ve almost been overwhelmed with it with the Zoldycks here.”

“Please! If you could see the Zoldyck Estate in our world, you’d truly know luxury!” 

You let her continue, chatting with her and Zeno, who occasionally chimed in. It was time to enjoy their company for they’d be gone before you knew it.

“Ne (Y/n)! Alluka wants to hold onto your jacket for a bit is that alright?”

“Oh? I barely noticed I left it behind but sure.” 

You continued to walk side by side with Killua making your way to your destination. The wind was cold. Wisping at your cheeks and nose as you mesmerized yourself with the smoky puff your breath made. Catching cat-like blue eyes watching you with amusement you stopped, replacing it with an embarrassed smile. 

He snickered. “What? Don’t stop on my account.”

“Oh Killua you're the only kid that makes me feel like a silly child again.”

“Eh?! You make it sound like I’m the reason you’re just childish anyway.”

You playfully hummed. “Hm. Maybe I am.”

You shared a laugh before letting your eyes begin to wander. Looking past the trees of the park to admire the clouded sky blending into the freezing lake. Despite having walked this path millions of times before, it never failed to take your breath away. Making you sigh in awe, you minded the frozen droplets hanging off the naked branches; looking as though they were a part of some artist’s canvas.

Even the rosiness that danced at your cheeks brought by your body’s attempt to warm you in the frigid season, felt magical in its own right. It was easy to lose sight of your path as your feet remember the way; allowing you to drift. 

But before you could go too far the warmth of another hand-a smaller hand in your pocket brought you back. Looking down in surprise at the blushing owner looking away from you. You chuckled intertwining his smaller, rougher hand with yours as you walked with a pep in your step. 

“I-I’m just keeping my hand warm. Where I’m from it never gets this cold.”

You smirked. “Sure!” 

You didn’t believe him and he knew that. But that wasn’t the point anyway. 

“You two seem to be getting along well.” 

The monotone voice stopped the both of you in your tracks. Standing in a slim-fitted insulating jacket was the eldest of the Zoldyck children. Standing precisely on the crack in the sidewalk he demanded you meet at. You didn’t miss the annoyed click of Killua’s teeth. Or the blank foreboding stare directed at a specific pocket of yours.

“Yup, Killua offered to walk me to our meetup spot. If you’re alright with it, I wouldn’t mind if he came with us.”

Illumi robotically tilted his head, his eyes still trained on the same spot it had been focused on since he started watching you. 

“I doubt Kil would find any enjoyment in where we’re going.”

Killua's eye twitched. “Oh? Where are you going?”

“Somewhere for adults, I’m sure you’d find it boring.”

“Really try me,”

The two intensely held each other’s gaze, vaguely conveying that this may need your intervention. With a well-timed sneeze, you might have saved yourself and the whole park from their ‘playful’ exchange of blows. Illumi seemed to back down first stepping closer to your unoccupied side where he waited for his brother to leave. 

Said brother didn’t look all too convinced. Squeezing his hand in yours brought his attention to you, already smiling in silent reassurance.

“Hey, take care of my sweater for me ‘kay.”

The silent message was heard as Killua, who begrudgingly released your hand from his hold. With a final glare towards his brother, he’d begun to leave, watching as you turned and waved to him as he went. He also watched as his brother slipped his hand into your opposite pocket. With a final click of his tongue, he moved at speeds practically impossible for the human eye back to the apartment you’d organized for him and Alluka. 

Making your way wordlessly out of the park, finally stopping within the toasty insides of a ceramics shop. With the unmolded clay in front of you and the guide having finished their instruction, you finally giggled at Illumi. 

“I’d hardly call ceramics an adults-only event.”

Illumi didn’t laugh, he didn’t even look up from the shape he was focused on molding. 

“I would. He isn’t a part of this so it isn’t bizarre for it to be considered an adult event.”

You decided to keep quiet about the toddler two tables down. Instead, you poked your head over the assassin’s shoulder to see what he was making. Glad you hadn’t started working on your own creation, you pulled back the raven locks that were spilling dangerously close to his work in progress. 

Missing the slight stutter of his fingertips as he registered the soft, gentle hold of your fingertips he continued. Opting to focus solely on his creation with more intensely.

“I’m so glad I brought a hair tie for this exact moment.”

“...if you don’t hurry up your clay will dry and your money will go to waste.”

“Ah. So money conscious.”

Finished with a nice low ponytail, you scooched back into your seat; prepared to begin your own creation. Sparing a glance at Illumi, you expected he’d be laser-focused on his work but instead he was staring at you unapologetically. While you found this wasn’t uncommon for him it didn’t change the fact that it was still odd. 

“So uh what are you making?”

“Why do you want to know?”

“I’m just asking, are you worried I’ll make fun?”

“My finished product will be more than enough to answer you, right?

“I guess so.”

You had an inkling of worry that he’d create something graphic and horrific. But you had to remind yourself: he wasn’t Milluki. Who unapologetically, on multiple accounts, scarred surprised you with animal entrails, graphic posters, and concerning digital art that bore striking resemblance to you.

Speaking of striking resemblance…you had a glorious idea.

“So…what is it?” 

You hated to ask but you had to. The ceramic resembled the bare requirements of a face colored by a paint color akin to your skin tone. Somehow when you turned your head to the left side you saw a screaming face but when you turned your head to the right it looked as though it was smiling. 

“....” 

He just stared at you blankly (as he usually did) but you could tell there was something unfamiliar. He turned his head away from you as he reached for his creation back. 

“If you can’t tell than it shouldn’t matter.”

“Don’t be embarrassed, I’m sorry!” 

You held the…thing in your hands with care as you bore witness to the rare sight of an embarrassed Illumi. 

“Even if I don’t know what it is I think it’s beautiful in its own right.”

“Don’t lie its unbecoming of you.” 

“I’m not lying!”

You let him snatch it from your hand and tuck it in his pocket. Smiling to yourself, you found comfort in that he didn’t immediately toss it into the trashcan by the doorway. Catching up with his quick pace you held you’re wrapped creation to your chest. 

“I would like to continue on now.”

“Don’t just sweep it under the rug! It’s all about growth.”

“Here you are Kalluto!”

He was doing what you had suggested: finding his own style. Alas, he still found himself taking the most buried articles of clothing from your closet and posing in the mirror. If you had noticed you didn’t say much, when you let yourself into the room he’d been given. 

“I made it just for you.”

The vase had a pink hue, with speckles of purple. He liked it but he was curious why he was gifted this. 

“I based it off the color of your eyes. I saw the shade being offered and I thought it’d be a perfect souvenir for you.”

His cheeks were overtaken by a hot crimson as he gingerly accepted the small vase. He loved it! Holding it close to his chest he almost missed the presence of his eldest brother outside his room. Judging by the slim-fitted jacket, his hat, and his pointed stare at the gift itself told Kalluto everything he needed to know. So that was his decision, for his day out with you? The ceramics shop?  

The image of you crafting something while smiling along with him. Hands touching one another while you both crafted something beautiful. Your attention solely focused on him. 

He’s so jealous. 

“Thank you. It looks beautiful.”

“ I’m so happy you like it! I was worried I wouldn’t get the color right but looking at you now I see I’m right on the mark.”

Kalluto’s cheeks never changed from heir red color, causing him to tuck his head into the collar of the shirt he stole from you borrowed. Sending a cautious look at the figure in the doorway he took a gamble. He put the vase down, quickly moving to nestle his head into your stomach almost immediately having your arms wrap around him. He didn’t bother locking eyes with the observer, instead pretending to be fully enveloped by your attention. 

If he did have a problem, Kalluto could argue that his time with you was limited. Therefore nothing was off the table. Not when their access to you would be gone forever. He’d rather it not be that way.

“Silva.” 

The call of his wife had the current head of the Zoldyck family, wordlessly asking what she needed. Nonetheless, he responded in kind. 

“Kikyo.”

The two of them were seated a ways apart from one another each sipping on their respective drinks as the candles slowly burned. 

“We need to talk about (Y/n).”

“What is there to talk about?”

He knew what she wanted to talk about. Those of any authority within the Zoldyck family already had a gray consensus about their host. All that was needed was definite words, so that they could be a united front on the subject. 

“On the topic of (Y/n) coming with us.”

Silva crossed his arms. 

“We cannot.”

“Why not? All of us like them! They show promise in maintaining the family, they’ve even convinced Kil to come home more often!” 

He wanted to grit his teeth but he didn’t. Only brought his cup to his mouth for a pensive sip.

“No, they’d never survive training. Let alone our world in general.”

He maintained his composure as he parroted Zeno’s consultation. Even as his wife slammed her own cup on the tray and opened her mouth to protest. He knew she’d ask because he had asked. 

“Mr. Silva. Is it okay if I call you that or would you rather it be Mr. Zoldyck?”

It amazed him that such a meek, small, weak host would have made him even consider bringing you along with them when they returned. Their host couldn’t be farther from them brimming with compassion and mindfulness that brought out a side the family had long since fought against. 

It shouldn’t have enamored them as it had. But it did. Leaving everyone in the family vying for their attention. With them the family’s prowess in killing meant nothing and it didn’t do any favors in garnering positive response. 

But it was for that exact reason Zeno mused that they’d never fit in the Zoldyck family. Even if they chose the route of marrying you into the family it would diminish your time with the everyone. Favoring the one they’d marry over all others. It’d be so unfair

“Husband, this opportunity to attain a sliver of another world would benefit the Zoldyck family! Even more so as a tenant or as a servant under all our care! It wouldn’t impede the family’s strength and their rules to serve would make them an asset to explore.” 

“And have them reach a butler’s strength alone. At their level?”

Kikyo hung her head covering her visor with her hands as she resisted the urge to weep. Silva refused to look at her, focusing intensely on the still liquid in his cup. The pain in this revelation was mutual. 

“Mr. Silva, did you go to aquariums when you were younger?”

“For missions.”

“What about on your own?”

“What would be the purpose of that?”

“I don’t know, to see the animals. To learn about them.”

“What use would learning about these animals do? If there is no time that I’ll be within their biome it would do nothing for me to retain this information.”

“Isn’t it nice to just be in awe though? To just fathom loosely about the world we barely have begun to discover?”

The image of their excited face illuminated by the tank was the moment Silva’s first felt that emotion. It reminded him of meeting Kikyo, of having his heir, of establishing a budding lineage. He learned that feeling was better not left ignored for it could very well determine the safety of the ones he felt it for. 

He’s seen it in his children, in all his children, so he could only see what he could control spiraling for the others. He could only think about the repercussions for when they returned home. There’d be no way to cull it easily; with you being literal dimensions apart.

Kikyo’s sulking stopped abruptly her hands folding to sit on her lap.

“Perhaps there is a way to bring them without breaking the rules.”

Blue eyes look at her expectantly.

“The Zoldyck’s have not encountered anyone worthy enough to consider adoption.”

“Adoption?”

“Yes, the process hasn’t been used within the family before…if it were to be implemented–” There was something hopeful within her voice and a twitch of a smile on Silva’s lip. 

“Then the rules that qualify the one adopted would be entirely up to the head of the family.” 

Silva attempted to resist the smile that spread across his face, as he leaned back onto his hand. How apparent would it be that their host had such an impact on them since they left the mansion? But even so, this was proof that they should have their host after all. 

“I’ll have to check with Zeno…but perhaps it might be a veritable solution.”

You were glad you spent the night before sobbing your heart out. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to smile through the Zoldyck’s goodbyes. Granted none of them, except for Kalluto and Alluka, were even close to shedding a single tear. Nonetheless, you hugged them all trying to calm yourself. 

The otherworldly energy spewing from the portal never made you nervous before and yet your hair was standing on end. Your tolerance for fearful situations had decreased significantly as you got to know the Zoldyck family but it never completely went away. You weren’t an idiot. 

They were a family of assassins. 

It’s foolish not to expect threats on your life at every other turn. But this had an effect on you on a deeper level than that. This was more unsettling. 

Was it the amount of place-holding spirits killed during their stay? Or the physical planet of this dimension lurching as it coughed up one of the most murderous families to stay here? Or was there something wrong with the integrity of the dimension itself?

You were tethered to the realm and it was tethered to you. For the most part, it only means you have a loose idea of what’s to come with the weather or an effect on a guest’s actions. But in times of dire situations, you’ve had the world reach out to you. At this point, you were already looking for a sign. 

But that wasn’t your main focus not when the younger ones were keeping you occupied. Hanging on your arms were Alluka and Killua; the latter was playfully mirroring the former. 

“Aw (Y/n)! We’ll miss you so much!”

“Yeah! We’ll miss you soooo much!”

“Ah Killua at least you could pretend to be serious about this.”

Spying Kalluto a ways off clutching the vase you had made him you gave him a small smile. 

“This relocation didn’t turn out to be a complete waste.” 

Milluki spoke up, unabashed as he pulled along a cart of all his anime and gaming memorabilia. You could see the invisible sneers of disgust from majority of the family, Killua didn’t even bother hiding his. 

“For once I’d agree,” Illumi chimed sending a bottomless look in your direction. “There were plenty of…unexpected trades to learn in a world devoid of hunters.”

“Thank you?” You shrugged.

Zeno let out a chuckle putting a thoughtful hand on your back. 

“I think all of us in the Zoldyck family have learned quite a bit.” You had to fight the tears now.

“For that we thank you.”

The entirety of the Zoldyck family bowed to you, leaving you to fight tears at the demonstration of respect and love they had for an average-dimensional host. Fanning at the water building up in your eyes you bowed and thanked them yourselves.

“You guys! Get over here and give me hugs!” 

You made sure to hug every member of the family even if they made unsettling comments as you did Milluki. 

Getting the timing perfectly right the portal opened to its full size, the electric blue illuminating everyone’s faces. You could smell the atmosphere of the Kukuroo mountain and the forest upon it. All that was left to do was for them to enter. 

“Alright now as stated before time has only been an hour in your world. Now you will be coming down from the sky but I’m sure you all will manage.”

“Thank you for everything (Y/n).”

You bowed your head to the patriarch missing the devious glint in his eyes.

“Of course.” 

Starting with Silva they each dove into the portal, leaving you to stand by yourself in the field of sunflowers selected as a gateway. Turning away from the flashing portal you could finally address the world’s message for you. The surrounding grass began to lay down unnaturally, spelling out a word. 

“They–”

You bent to down watching as the green blades folded into more words, filling your heart with trepidation as it spelled slowly.

“--will not–”

The blades continued to fold slowly as the sunflower stems frantically sprouted from the ground. Not bothering to wriggle free from the stems wrapping around your wrists, you tried to hurry the world’s spelling. Why did you feel like you needed to rush?

“-let you go–? Wait what the he-” 

Before you could finish a translucent, glowing, and golden dragon, like one from Japanese folklore came out of the portal. Wrapping around your entire body it skillfully carried you into the shrinking portal. Only stopping for a short time to wriggle free of the sunflowers that were simultaneously pulling at your limbs.

Now on the other side of the portal, you were being pulled backward. Your front looking at the endless sky watching the portal shrink and close, slicing the desperately reaching sunflowers and their stems. 

Something within you seemed to break but before you could dwell on that you finally tried to register what was going on.

“AHHHHH!”

Diving with you in it’s coil the dragon was rocketing in the direction of a mansion. All you could do was hold tight as the dragon slowed to a stop. Gently letting you lie on the floor, taking a moment to ground yourself you barely registered the booming voice.

“Congratulations (Y/n), you’ve been inducted into the Zoldyck Family.”

“W-what?”

“As the adopted of the Zoldyck, you’re duty to the family is to be protected and to participate in the family to the best of your limited abilities.”

“Wait—”

“Per your lack of Zoldyck blood, your title as the adopted is willing to change for the family’s convenience.”

“HOLD ON!” You stood up fully holding your shaking hands out as you began to process what this would mean. Before you can get a word in Kikyo runs up to you, shoving your head into her chest as she rocks your unsteady form. 

“Rejoice my (Y/n)! Now for all the care you’ve given us, we get to take care of you!”

“Mother, you’ll smother them.”

“Ah big brother, don’t need to get jealous I’m sure you’ll get your turn.”

“I know that.” 

Unable to speak or look too far away, you felt Alluka and Kalluto grab at your pant legs. No doubt they glared at one another as they vied for your attention.

“(Y/n)!” ”(Y/n)!”

Being no help at all Killua wasn’t too far behind, ”Oi don’t hog them all.”

Whether it was the exhaustion of dimensional travel or losing air within your mother Kikyo’s breast. Beginning to lose consciousness you could barely make out the ghost of a smile on Silva’s face. Zeno withheld no courtesy, smiling happily as he turned away.

After all, you were home with them. Where you belonged. 

Surely the Zoldyck family could handle the dimensional repercussions of claiming their host.

He stares at you so much that sometimes you swear that you can feel someone staring at you in the middle of the night. While you are in bed .

★ Before you even ask - yes Illumi gets very jealous of his siblings whenever you hang out with them- especially Killua, instead of him. Illumi will happily let you sleep in his bed at night , when it rains ( or if you have a nightmare ) because he knows that you feel safe with him.

★ He will happily hum you a soft song and rub your back to comfort you whenever you have a nightmare

★ Milluki is the type of guy who would typically charge his other family members for his services - but not you. In fact , I am pretty sure that you are the only meme we if the family who is “ nice to him “. Similarly to the rest of his family , he feels a sort of obligation to take care of you.

★ That being said , he will happily monitor all of your social media accounts , and eliminate any of your online friends who he feels you two are getting “ to close “ to each other.

★ Zeno is definitely a more laid back yandere compared to the others.

★ He honestly prefers to stick to spoiling you , and trying to make sure that you know that what the family is doing for you is good. Since the moment you were born , Zeno made sure to get in your good side ( by buying you ice cream whenever you wanted ). That way , you would follow his rules. Now that I think about it , Zeno and Kikyo are very similar in many ways. They both love spoiling you. <3

★ Killua is extremely clingy to you. Because he is a little spoiled,he will basically demand your time. Whenever you were little , Killua would love to boss you around ( in a playful way ). When he is older , he definitely loves to protect you from any else. Remeber how I said that Illumi gets jealous of Killua ?… well yeah.

★ The two brothers are basically in a emotional battle to be your favorite. Let’s just say that they get very competitive. Poor Alluka has to try to drag you away from their mess.

Because Zeno is unironically one of my favorite HxH characters, idk why, this grandpa's vibes are immaculate. So I tried imagining how it'd be like to be his grandkid! Don't judge me fhgjkd I know I got requests to work on but I need to write some sillies for me as well çwç

A new Zoldyck is born:

Zeno prides himself on being a cold blooded assassin, laser focused on his job, but old age has definitely mellowed him out a little when it comes to his daily life.

He's definitely a lot less strict with his grandkids than he was with his own son, just like any old man. Though he has a tendency to play favorites even among his beloved family.

The day you were born, he took one look at you and knew from that moment that you were definitely going to be one of his favorites. Just that peculiar glint in your eyes was enough to activate his caring grandpa side.

Even Silva and Kikyo were surprised at how his personality seemed to flip every time he got to hold you as a baby... it was an odd, but sort of sweet sight to see Zeno behave like an actual grandpa, bouncing you on his knees or telling you stories from his younger days.

Of course, that's not all he ever did. He's a Zoldyck, and his idea of 'fun with his grandchild' went on to include flying on a dragon's back, teaching you what each torture tool does, and showing you where human weak points are. Even when you were a toddler, he was already thinking of useful things you had to know in order to grow up and be a fine Zoldyck.

Once you were old enough to start going on missions, he'd also reward you for your success, way more than your parents ever did. He'd call you to him, and would sneakily place a piece of candy and a couple bills in your hand and gently close your fist, telling you to buy whatever you wanted with that.

In your free time:

Nowadays, grandpa Zeno is a bit more focused on Killua, but you're still his second favorite at least. Naturally, because of your strength, but also because you actually listen to him and not just dismiss him like the other family members do.

You're often busy going on missions, on your own or with your siblings, but whenever you're actually home, he often asks you to get tea with him.

He has a tendency to start rambling about the "good ol' days", talking about his most iconic missions and showing you pictures of past family members.

He may still be a sharp assassin, but his memory isn't as sharp as it used to be, so sometimes he might tell you an anecdote he's already told you. If you bring it up he'll get a little embarrassed and apologize. "Ah... did I tell you already? My bad, my bad"

He tries not to let it get to him, and he definitely wouldn't tell you, but he genuinely hopes that doesn't annoy you, because it's rare to have someone who seems to genuinely enjoy listening to him.

He doesn't go out of the house too much, but when he does, sometimes he asks you to accompany him, not for any reason in particular, he just wants some company while he's out and about, and he finds the butlers quite boring.

Collaborative effort:

Grandpa Zeno doesn't take on many missions unless they're of the utmost difficulty, and he usually teams up with his son, Silva, since they're the two most experienced Zoldycks.

But he's not beyond making an exception. He recognizes your abilities as phenomenal, and compared to some of your other siblings, you're also a great team player, quick to react and synchronize with anyone you're working with. So there have been some rare times, where he's asked you to come on a mission with him.

Seeing your grandfather fight, really makes you understand why he's so feared. Despite his age and smaller build, you would NEVER want to find yourself against him. He attacks with precision and no hesitation whatsoever, like a true veteran.

If there's one frustrating thing about him, is that he's stubborn. He always wants to be the one who gets to do most of the fighting, while you're stuck on support duty.

At first, you believed it was because he didn't trust you to be strong enough, but as it turns out, it's because he enjoys fighting that much. It's not even about the kill, he gets no satisfaction from killing, he's just always looking for a good fight.

He's an old, powerful man, you figure there's not many people in the world who can surpass his strength... he's always looking for a worthy opponent.

The few times he's taken you on a mission with him, it's always been very nostalgic, because after you succeed, he always insists on going to nearby cafes, as if nothing happened, and even though by now you have your own money, he still has that old habit of putting a couple bills in your hand, to go and order whatever you want at the counter.

I've been thinking of Illumi, like his siblings are mostly compliant except Killua but the way Killua rebels is through his actions yk. So, Illumi with a fem!Zoldyck younger sibling reader who's similar to Killua when it comes to talent but you fight him with your words and sass 💅💅💅

-Imagine Illumi telling you about the assassins can't have friends and you told him to stop projecting his insecurities of being lonely into you because it's not cute.

-Illumi telling you that he's off to kill someone and you just looked at him up and down before saying "In that outfit?" (While you absolutely slay bc of the Zoldyck money).

I can see a sibling like that getting along very well with Killua since neither of them take Illumi’s bullshit, probably even joining each other to rebel against Illumi to annoy him.

I don't know why people think the idea of Gon being as tall as Killua or even taller when they are older is something crazy, they usually say that since Ging is short Gon will also be short, I mean, is not like Silva is twice the size of Zeno, also some older Zoldycks were really small like Maha and Zigg, it also happens with Netero who had an average height and his son Beyond is huge, interesting enough the only examples of father and son where the son is not taller than the father are Silva's older kids, neither Illumi nor Milluki are as tall as Silva is.

This is a great point, anon! People do talk about Silva and Ging's heights as if they're the only factors to go off of with Gon and Killua's future heights, but in both cases there's a degree of uncertainty. It's true that the Zoldyck family heights overall are all over the place, and it's worth noting we don't know where the rest of Gon's genetics even came from. (I know the Greed Island Pregnancy Stones are a popular fan theory, but that is still just a theory at this point.)

I don't think there's anything wrong with deciding for yourself how you prefer to imagine their heights when they're older. We don't have a canon answer on this and only time will tell if we ever get one.

I like to imagine them ending up being around the same height roughly, give or take a couple inches perhaps, but I definitely think everyone is allowed their own preferences on this matter. They're certainly not done growing in canon, so anything goes!

i think the zoldyck siblings gap in ages tells a very interesting story lol... like they have illumi and then take 5 years to have milluki and then another 7 YEARS to have killua, then immediately alluka and kalluto back to back over 3 years...

personally i like to think that kikyo being a new mom (and a new zoldyck) was adamant that illumi was a perfect heir but zeno was like "noooope boy aint right" so they try again and milluki is not promising at all hwgwgwwh and then by the time illumi is 12 they have killua and its obv he is the heir 🙄🙄

i don't imagine resentment from kikyo to illumi for this though... like he was her little bestie throughout trying to be taken seriously as a zoldyck (and shes still fucking not ffs) and he went from being a potential heir to the perfect extension of herself to get sway in on how killua was raised because she was once again barred from doing shit 😐😐😐

Illumi

📍 Illumi felt an intense love and need to protect his son the moment that he was born and he was more than happy to go against his family to do that. 📍 Never introduced him to Hisoka because he knew what that would mean given Hisoka’s obsession with finding strong people to fight. 📍 Proud of how quickly his son took to training and how easily it picked up all of the assassin techniques that took his siblings years to pick up. 📍 He’s very present in Yuki’s life, he doesn’t like leaving him with the butlers or his family members because of the way that they liked to try and manipulate things to benefit them. 📍 He does his best to make sure that Yuki has everything that he likes and is kept away from anything that he doesn’t, though he does teach him how to tolerate most things that he doesn't like so it could never be used against him. 📍 Illumi deeply loves his son and will do anything for him, he has prepared him for the world but would like to keep his little family together and away from any outside antagonising forces.

Milluki

🦟 Indifferent to the kid for a long time, literally didn’t even really know his name until Illumi started to bring him around more often. 🦟 They don’t see eye to eye about the bugs. Yuki hates them but Milluki is the one that teaches him the worth in things even if you hate them. 🦟 Is surprised by how quickly the kid learns and what he picks up on. That only makes him even more unsettled by the colour of his eyes. 🦟 Milluki will often find the kid napping in his room because the lights are always off and no one else really goes in there. It started with him telling Yuki never to come into his room but eventually just accepts that there’s an extra person sometimes. 🦟 Milluki was aware that he didn’t want to upset his older brother or his wife so he doesn’t do much more than give him a space to sleep, the only thing that he offers him is snacks and treats that he might be eating. 🦟 Milluki doesn’t dislike his nephew but he is weary of him, he worries that he has a lot more power than he knows just because of who his parents are but they do have some kind of connection given the time that they spend together.

Killua

⚡ Killua does not have much to do with his nephew because he very rarely comes home, for his own reasons, he is happy that he doesn’t have to follow the family’s ideals. ⚡ Killua does hold a little resentment for Yuki because he shows him what his relationship with Illumi could have been if Illumi realised they didn’t have to listen to and please they’re parents. ⚡ Killua didn’t really come into contact with his nephew until he started taking on missions which meant that he didn’t really see past the assassin mask that he put on but can often identify breaks in the persona that show what his mother has taught him. ⚡ Killua doesn’t understand the kindest and understanding that Yuki often approaches him with and they will often clash because Killua will often bad mouth Illumi. ⚡ That is what will often cause fights between them but Killua is always impressed because no matter how many times they fight neither one of them get any closer to killing the other. ⚡ Killua and Yuki very rarely see eye to eye, they were probably the most like each other and that’s why, both different sides of the same coin, both prodigies of the same family, one allowed to grow the way he wanted and the other having to fight to grow the way he wanted.

Alluka

🎭 Alluka strikes me as the type of person to give everyone a chance especially if we’re talking about her after she’s been given time to get used to the world and the way that it works. 🎭 Yuki is likely to understand that there is something different about Alluka and even figure out some of the rules for himself. 🎭 Nanaka is likely to be curious about him given his heritage and the fact that he’s a tribrid of sorts, something that even the continent hasn’t seen. Whether that makes him an ally or an enemy solely depends on how he conducts himself. 🎭 Yuki doesn’t show a particular dislike towards Alluka or Nanaka, neither of them give him a reason to be anything other than neutral, they may very well find some common ground in his likes. 🎭 I think the problem that both Alluka and Killua face is that they don’t spend much time in the family house, or with the other members of the family, so they tend to be the ones that have a more distanced from him, especially before he started taking on missions. 🎭 Alluka is a lot more easy going than Killua, whether that’s naivety or a hope to never judge people the way that she was. The fact that he looks like his mother helps because Alluka does love Kianna.

Kalluto

🪭 Kalluto is probably the one that no one realised was close with the youngest member, they would spend a lot of time together considering they were the youngest of the group. 🪭 Illumi actually does trust Kalluto to teach his son given the skill he has seen his younger brother execute his missions with and honestly out of all of the siblings he was definitely the most mature. 🪭 Kalluto was very aware of what it meant to be the youngest in the family, he had spent a lot of his childhood proving that he was worth as much as his brothers so he made sure that Yuki never felt that he needed to prove anything. 🪭 Is probably the only other person who knows that it means when Yuki’s nose starts bleeding and cares to stop him from pushing himself any further. 🪭 Kalluto is the member of the family that Yuki misses the most when he spends time away from the house, or if either one of them goes on a mission. He’d been on a few missions with Kalluto as well, they were a pretty good team together. 🪭 Kalluto was like a true uncle to Yuki, with his past experience making sure that it was not repeated. He could not change the actions or thoughts of his parents but he could make sure that Yuki didn’t feel the way he did.

Silva

🟣 Silva saw a weapon, nothing more and nothing less. He was not stupid enough to judge him the same way that he had Kianna, he knew how powerful both Yuki’s parents were so there was no way their child didn’t carry the same strength. 🟣 He was surprised that he didn’t take on more of Illumi’s characteristics or even personality traits but the boy took after his mother. 🟣 Silva was a little more wary of him, he didn’t get to train him often given that Illumi was usually the one to train his own son. He had seen the signs that told Yuki that he was pushing himself too hard but oftentimes ignored them. 🟣 Yuki was for the most part afraid of Silva and very rarely had anything past polite conversation, that will be initiated by Silva 🟣 Silva didn’t agree with the way that Illumi and Kianna had decided to raise their son so for a long time he refused to give the boy missions but once Yuki started going on missions it was hard to ignore his strength. 🟣 To Silva Yuki was an asset and there was nothing more to say than that. He sent him on missions but he didn’t have the characteristics needed to take over the family so all he was, was another body.

Kikyo

👒 Kikyo hated the boy. She still didn’t trust his mother and she wouldn’t trust him. No matter his strength or usefulness. 👒 She stayed away from him as best she could, never spoke to him past scolding him and was glad that Illumi separated him from the rest of the family. 👒 She had no reason to pay him any mind, he was no threat to her darling Killua. 👒 She also feared Illumi’s reaction should anything happen to his son by her hand. Illumi was still an imposing figure to her and she knew that should it come down to her or Yuki, Illumi will always choose his son. 👒 She had attempted to manipulate his view of his place in the family and learned quickly that he was more like his mother than she had first thought. 👒 Kikyo did not like him but she could do nothing to change that he was a part of the family, so she often just ignored him in the hopes that one day she would just stop seeing him.

Zeno

🐉 Zeno was just happy that there was someone else in the family. He never expected that Illumi would have a partner let alone have a child, he was happy for him. 🐉 In his old age he had realised that there was more to the Zoldyck name than the assassin job that they were known for. He would often say that in one way or another any time that it seemed Yuki was upset or angry about training or a mission. 🐉 He was the one to suggest that Illumi teach him how to use Nen needles, he saw the way that the boy watched his father and mimicked the movements. 🐉 Zeno did on occasion train Yuki but it was more on a sparing basis and it was usually with one of his parents present. He’s always been good at changing his teaching method to suit the child and Yuki was no different. 🐉 Zeno is probably the one most likely to give him presents, things that helped him with his missions, weapons and armour best suited for the little one. 🐉 Zeno never pushed to meet the young one before he was ready, often left open channels of communication and waited for the boy to approach. 🐉 Zeno was like a normal grandparent, he only hoped that Yuki was able to handle the world that he had been born into and that his parents taught him enough to survive.

Danganronpa Rebirth - Voice Actor Headcanons.

So here’s the latest update of this little series on my blog where I assign official voice actors to characters that don’t have them. Today we’re doing another Fanganronpa, Danganronpa Rebirth.

Now as per usual, I need to point out a few things.

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

I am aware of RebirthVoices being a thing, and this post is not to besmirch them or their work or effort. This is just a hypothetical cast that Chunsoft would probably hire assuming Rebirth was actually a canon game in the series.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ bro is still kinda trying to get the "illumi likes men" thing. silva can kill hundreds of people at once and is the most feared assassin ever, but when it comes to his kids actually having... like... lives... his mind just empties.

・❥・so when illumi just pulls up with "hisoka and i are dating" in the most unemotional tone known to man, silva's brain doesn't really process it right off. he sits there for like ten seconds straight in silence with an intimidatingly blank stare. imagine the little "loading..." thing over his head

・❥・and then he gets it. he blinks. looks at hisoka and illumi awkwardly, with a brow arched or something. then looks down at kikyo, who is sobbing on his shoulder into his shirt.

・❥・he stares at his wife for a few more very long seconds before looking back up at his son and his maniac pedophile clown bf, rolling his eyes as he gestures with his head for them to just go.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ she was never on board with hisoka and illumi's whole thing to begin with. she does not understand why Illumi wants to spend all his time with hisoka, who she thinks is creepy and overly eccentric, when he could be spending time with a lovely woman who also kills people to carry on the Zoldyck name.

・❥・and she really wasn't with the gay thing anyway. she would have lots of perfectly eligible murdery women meet illumi in hopes that they would get together and bear a Zoldyck child. but here he is. kikyo just cannot understand it.

・❥・although, it's a tiny bit less about the gay stuff than it is about the fact that it's hisoka. hisoka. him of all people. why? his aura is repulsive, he runs around in crop tops, heels, waist trainers, makeup, and pink hair. illumi had already been poisoned, kikyo could tell, when he started with the crop tops as well. but it had been worse than she had thought. now here they were, the disgusting clown and her perfect illumi saying they were dating.

・❥・it was enough to make her burst into tears- and cry she did. the second illumi finished his sentence, the waterworks began. now it was too late.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ he'd been collecting clues for a while. he noticed when illumi stopped cutting his hair, when his clothing style changed, how much more often Illumi was going to hisoka for assistance in missions and such rather than his family- whether he actually needed the help or not.

・❥・and when illumi joined the phantom troupe "per hisoka's request," and when he spoke of an "engagement ring" and "prenup" despite there being other less fruity terms he could have used to describe the contract- kalluto was almost 100 percent sure.

・❥・ the kicker, though, was when kalluto found out that they had contracted each other to kill... each other. they both shared the same twisted idea of "romance" and "friendship," and this basically set kalluto's suspicions in stone.

・❥・so kalluto half-heartedly played dumb when Illumi announced their official status as a couple- but long story short, he wasn't surprised. he isn't really fond of hisoka, but he sees no point in messing with the relationship, so he doesn't care much overall.

・❥・bro almost chokes to death on his snack when illumi's done. when he finally pulls himself together, he gives Illumi a look and is basically like "ew, weirdos"

・❥・this could go two ways. one, illumi makes his announcement, and killua immediately starts dramatically falling to the floor and screaming hysterically while pretending to vomit. may or may not ask if he can put a hit on himself. hell, he'll demand someone put a hit on him- he'll be waiting with open arms for them to come and end his misery

・❥・or, killua takes matters into his own hands. he doesn't react at all before calmly exiting the room, walking through the halls, entering mike's domain, and simply climbing up the dog's fur into his mouth. perhaps he'll take a stroll up to the roof of the house and throw himself off?? either way, he's ending this shit

TROUBLE IS ALWAYS AROUND THE CORNER

A/n: it seems that there is no peace for our lovely Ash. As a says goes “ there’s no rest for the wicked”, and we mean this…literally

There is no fucking way. Everything was against him. As if the constant pain wasn’t enough, the various health problems and the ever present feeling of exhaustion, a new young butler got in the way. He couldn’t rest normally, but this time, it had been too much.

Usually you never worried about people coming in your part of the house, cause it had been made abundantly clear to all the members of the staff, that no one apart family members and two trusted butlers could come and go inside Zeno’s residence. No one, especially young inexperienced butlers. For both their sake and Ash’s one. He had the right to all the rest he could, and the last thing he needed was the hovering of trained who didn’t know their left from their right.

But one young butler missed the memo apparently. And it lead to a gruesome end.

Ash had been ill for most of the week, his fever so high it caused concerns among the family. Given his medical history, it had been quite the scare when the fever wasn’t breaking. His breathing became labored and the doctors had to perform an emergency check up to be assured. Fortunately the day after, his temperature dropped to a more stable level, but the strain left him extremely exhausted.

All Zeno asked was to leave him alone and let him sleep. They all knew how much he needed those few hours he could rest easily to recover from this episode.

The entire mansion was strangely quiet, everyone was trying not to disturb the sleeping man upstairs. But a young butler was tempting fate. Going against specific orders, they slowly made their way to the upper floor. Nobody knew if it was because of their crush for the man or out of pure stupidity. Making their way to the massive door, they made sure to check the halls. When nothing was noticed, the door was slowly being pushed open. The place was massive. Historic furnishings adorned the main room. It was like they expected.

Taking the far right corner, the butler looked for the master bedroom, and it didn’t take much time to spot it. The door was made of oak, and it seemed heavy. Pushing with all their might, the butler saw who he wanted. There on the bed slept Ash Zoldyck, one of the most guarded people of the house. Even though they heard of his illness, they still found him incredibly beautiful. Now they understood why Zeno had chosen him.

Coming closer the gloved hand almost touched the pale skin, when a tired voice spoke up. “ What…are…you…doing here?” asked a really tired man. He had heard the front door open, and when he didn’t recognize the footsteps, he pushed the call button on the nightstand. Better to be safe than sorry.

The butler looked shocked. Ash was supposed to be resting. “I’m..uh, just checking on you sir. I was sent here by master Silva”. Although he was very tired, he could detect the blatant lie. “ I…believe…you are…telling a lie, young ..one”. Taking a deep breath, he tried to sit up, and with some difficulties, he leaned against the bedpost. Breathing deeply, he glanced at the butler, pitying them a bit for what was to come. “ my husband…won’t be pleased..to find you here. Leave, now”.

He had the butler best interest at heart, but he felt something wrong. The butler in front of him had other plans. “ sir, not to be rude, but I think you are delirious. Let me help you” and again, the gloved hand was coming incredibly close to his pajama jacket. Before the hand could open the first button, a powerful aura encompassed the entire room. The butler fell to floor, wheezing, and even Ash had trouble catching his breath. Zeno was too enraged to notice his husband struggles. It wasn’t until he heard the pained voice of his beloved that he lifted the aura around him. “ Are you alright? I apologize for this slip”, coming closer to him he handed his man a glass of water. While Ash gradually drank, Zeno rubbed his thighs soothingly. “ Did they do something?”, shaking his head he laid down, already feeling the effect of today’s strain on his body. “ Go back to sleep. I will come soon”

Ash fell asleep. And Zeno didn’t waste time in dragging the butler to the dungeon. He would have liked to deal with the trash, but left it to Killua and Illumi. He had better places to be. He ought to start teaching the new recruits some manners. But all in due time. After all there is no rest for the wicked.
