and i hate that the show is never gonna address robby’s SA. they’re gonna brush over it like nothing happened as if we’re stupid or something.

robby was drunk as fuck and didn’t give consent at all, and they’re sick for trying to push it as robby ‘cheating’ when it’s clearly not what that is.. AT ALL.

the show isn’t gonna address it, and the people who are watching the show, the viewers, are making excuses for zara, saying that it didn’t happen (are y’all blind?) that robby should be lucky, ‘it’s fine cause zara is hot’

it’s truly disgusting and disturbing. it’s all really nasty. i hate how when she kissed him after leaving her room he literally looked so lost, numb and you could tell he was completely out of it.

plastering it as a ‘hook-up’ or ‘cheating’ is nuts when the show clearly implied it as SA. it’s not taken seriously in the show, and a whole group of people are not taking it seriously as well.

if you don’t think it’s SA, im gonna assume you’re dumb or dense, didn’t pay attention or just realise it’s SA but you don’t give a shit.

(there’s so much more i wanna say about how robby’s character was done incredibly dirty in part 2 but i feel like this rant was necessary instead of discussing everything as a whole.)

Zara SA’d Robby and that is a fact. If you want to argue this please do it somewhere else.

Zara has been interested in Robby since day one and has an obvious beef with Tory. The night Robby gets drunk Zara is in the bar the whole time watching him.

We have one character who has zero tolerance to alcohol drinking several strong alcoholic drinks. And we have a second character who is at the bar the whole time watching him drink and waits until he is alone to go up to him. That’s predatory behavior.

They walk back to the hotel so obviously Zara has plenty of time to see just how drunk Robby is, not that it stopped her. They then go back to her room and it is heavily implied that they have sex.

We might not know exactly what happened but I think anyone who thinks Zara didn’t do something is lying to themself, she’s not shown to be a good person at any point and the idea that she would let Robby just sleep in her room is ridiculous. If they didn’t do something she likely wouldn’t have helped him back to the hotel at all and if you’re trying to justify it as some act of kindness she could’ve easily gotten one of Robby’s teammates or coaches to help him. She could’ve gone to Demetri and Hawk who were still in the bar but she didn’t because she wasn’t trying to help.

And we know Robby was too drunk to consent considering he was too drunk to remember and Zara obviously doesn’t find anything wrong with this fact. She acts entertained by Robby’s confusion and doesn’t fill him in, as long as she remembers everything is fine.

She kisses him, again I think it would be ridiculous to assume that was their first kiss, and he walks away looking pretty horrible. Even the kiss we do see I wouldn’t really consider consensual, Robby is basically unresponsive and his expression when he turns around is not happy.

Robby tries to bring up his concerns and how sick he feels but she just brushes him off and kisses him again. Everything Zara does in that episode is calculated and manipulative, there really isn’t another way to spin it.

And if this doesn’t bother you because Zara is a girl and Robby is a guy or because Zara is pretty or because there isn’t enough evidence I genuinely don’t know what to say.

Cannot lie the writing for zara compared to axel bothered me. Of course the female antagonist is like that. It’s not that I like her, I struggle to connect with characters introduced late, but she’s such an example of misogynistic writing it’s unbelievable, we’re in 2025. Which is why im not cheering for her “the bitch had it coming” ending either. Axel was written with more respect

Yeah, the entire Zara stuff is just…bizarre. And misogynistic, obviously, but like. They have her sexually assault Robby—because to be clear, that’s what that was—but then narratively play it off as cheating. And if not full-blown cheating given the whole “we were on a break” argument, it’s at least clear they wanted us to think this was Robby’s mistake. So then to set Zara up as this ultimate villain that deserves to have her teeth knocked out by Tory just doesn’t make any sense. Like, shouldn’t she be mad at Robby? If all Zara did was have a consensual night with a guy she liked, why does that make her the pinnacle of evil? Because she dared to be a woman with sexual desires?

And like, if part 2 and 3 had come out at the same time, I think I actually would have believed they wanted us to think Zara assaulted Robby. If Hayden and the writers had never made those comments, given how Zara is framed in this season and both Tory and Robby’s reaction to her, I honestly think I would’ve believed they had intentionally written it as Robby being taken advantage of. But we know that’s not the case.

And I know a lot of people like Axel and feel for him, and that’s fair. But like you I struggle to connect with the characters introduced later (sorry Devon, it’s nothing personal) and Axel in particular irks me. This is a guy who developed a little crush on Sam and proceeded to get territorial over her try and claim some fucked up sense of ownership over her, starting shit with Miguel that directly led to the brawl, and all because she was just like. Sort of nice to him. And I get it, he’s had it rough, but any person who has experienced that kind of thing before knows it’s not innocent and it’s not cute and its not sympathetic even if they have an evil abusive sensei. It’s just scary, point blank. And pretty dehumanizing to boot. So to have him be the one that gets his mini little redemption (after already shattering Robby’s knee)….like okay lol.

I feel wrong about Robby's whole thing with Zara. Like, he got drunk for the first time and doesn't even remember what happened last night. I don't know what happened, if it's her move, but it doesn't seem like he could give consent.

I am so so happy to see Tanner acknowledge that Zara assaulted Robby after the shit the writers pulled after part 2 came out. It makes me respect him a lot especially given the fact that saying what happened was treated as controversial and it’s just really nice to see someone involved in the show who I like so much standing up for Robby and acknowledging that scene for what it clearly was. Obviously this doesn’t fix how it was handled or undo any of the harm the writers did by denying it but it still means a lot to me.

Am I the only one who thinks it hits different when a Bollywood song starts off as a solo with one gender singing and then has the opposite gender join in at the end?

Like you'd have one side sing the chorus, then a verse, then the chorus again

And then the other side would show up, sing a verse, then their version of the chorus and it just hits you out of nowhere

And it hits way different than if they both just started it as a duet from the start
