Sara Douglas as Ursa in Superman ll (1981).
Ursa was described as the deadliest woman on Krypton, who hated all men save for General Dru-Zod, to whom she was slavishly devoted.
Ursa was a character created for the first Superman film, which was in development since the early 1970s and would, eventually, be split into two parts. She would make her brief first appearance in the beginning of Superman the Movie in 1978.
Someone at DC Comics decided it would be a good idea to introduce an evil, man-hating female Kryptonian in the comics before the film was released. However, since they didn't have the rights to Ursa yet, they decided to create their own own version.
And thus, the world was introduced to Faora Hu-Ul!

Action Comics (vol. 1) #472 (June, 1977). Cover by Bob Oskner. This was Faora's first appearance on a cover in her true form.
Faora made her first appearance in Action Comics (vol. 1) #471 (May, 1977), but spends most of the story as a featureless phantom. Her true form is revealed later on, and we learn she is a Phantom Zone escapee. On Krypton Faora had an irrational hatred of all men, known to have killed at least twenty-three of them, and kept other Kryptonians as slaves in her very own concentration camp.
As a Kryptonian, once Faora was out of the Phantom Zone she had all the same powers as Superman. That alone would have made her a formidable opponent. But she was also an expert in Horu-Kanu, the deadliest of Krypton's martial arts. which targets pressure points to disable, cripple, and even kill opponents. Superman had no defense against that.
Faora made a several more appearances over the years, until she - and most of Superman's continuity - was erased in Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985), and Superman's subsequent reboot by John Byrne in Man of Steel (1986).
Interestingly enough, Faora did briefly reappear - now named mysteriously Zaora - in John Byrne's last Superman story. She was one of three villainous Phantom Zone escapees who murdered every living thing on Earth (in a pocket universe), and was, infamously, executed for her crimes by Superman.

Faora finally made it to the big screen in Man of Steel (2013), portrayed by Ayelet Zurer.

While I have plenty of opinions about this film, I will not share them here. I will point out that, while shown only as an overzealous follower of the tyrannical General Zod, Faora was a bad@$$ opponent for Superman nonetheless.
New versions of Faora and Ursa have been introduced into the comics, with Ursa making her debut in 2006 as Zod's spouse and mother of his son, Lor-Zod. After DC's New 52 (boo!) and Rebirth, Ursa and Lor-Zod underwent character modifications, so they are different from their 2006 incarnations.
Ursa was actually (SPOILER ALERT!) killed off in the 2024 mini-series Kneel Before Zod. But I suspect it won't be too long before someone brings her back.

A jak tam u was? Opowiadajcie chętnie poczytam
Do usłyszenia❤️

@theholyandthedamned asked  “How much do you want for it?”
Tumblr media
The dragon’s lips curled into a dangerous smile. He inched forward, mandables clicking as he surveyed her. His voice was dark, but loud enough to draw her in. “Depends what you are willing to do for it.” He was no barterer. He would always get his prize.

The first Faora, Faora Hu-Ul, was introduced in Action Comics #471.[6][7] She was a beautiful Kryptonian woman whose unexplained hatred for men led her to torture and kill 23 men in a secret concentration camp. For this, she was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone to complete a sentence of 300 Kryptonian years, the second longest term after Jax-Ur.[8][9] This allowed her to survive her homeworld's destruction, along with the other Phantom Zone prisoners, albeit in an invisible ghostlike form. While imprisoned in the Phantom Zone, she was often depicted plotting against Superman with General Zod and Jax-Ur. Her hatred of men was not limited to Kryptonians, as demonstrated by her pointless murder of a young Frenchman who was attracted by her beauty.[10]
Faora was an expert at the Kryptonian martial art of Horo-Kanu, which utilized the pressure points on the Kryptonian body. This made her an extremely dangerous foe for Superman to face in hand-to-hand combat-—he was forced to flee from their first encounter.[8] During one of her first appearances,[11] Faora could manifest some sort of "mental lightning" to physically attack other Kryptonians, but did not exhibit this additional power during later appearances.
Post-CrisisEdit
Pocket UniverseEdit
Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, another Faora (renamed Zaora) appeared in the Pocket Universe created by the Time Trapper, along with General Zod and Quex-Ul.[4] The three tricked the Pocket Universe's Lex Luthor into releasing them from the Phantom Zone. After the Pocket Earth's population continued to resist their conquest of it, the three villains destroyed the atmosphere, killing almost all life. Superman defeated them by permanently stripping the three of their super powers with gold kryptonite. He then executed them with kryptonite in punishment for their crimes, and to protect the real Earth after they threatened to somehow regain their powers and destroy it as well. Zaora pleaded with Superman for her life, offering him "all sorts of favors", before she succumbed to the kryptonite.[12]
Phantom Zone entityEdit
In the Eradicator mini-series, the Eradicator was pressured into embracing his programming by another construct of Kem-L's. This artifact, which was trapped in the Phantom Zone, claimed to be called Faora, after Kem-L's grandmother, and to be the ultimate repository of Kryptonian mythology. However it is unclear how much of this is true.
The Eradicator rejected Faora, "downloading" all the aspects of Kem-L's programming that contradicted Dr. David Conner's morality into the Faora program. Unknown to him, this gave it a new, monstrous form and the ability to leave the Zone, and it targeted Conner's family. The Eradicator destroyed it, but not before it killed Conner's wife.
PokolistanianEdit
Another Faora was introduced as one of the aides of General Zod of the fictional nation of Pokolistan. This character, who debuted in Action Comics #779 (July 2001), was an orphan metahuman. Faora has the ability to disrupt molecular bonds. She was the creator of the mutagenic virus which was the linchpin of Zod's plan. Her whereabouts following the General's defeat are unknown.[4]
"Return to Krypton"Edit
In a 2001–2002 storyline, Superman and Lois Lane visit a version of Krypton which is later revealed to have been created by the villainous Brainiac 13 and based on Jor-El's favorite period in Kryptonian history.[13] In this Krypton, Lois and Clark become fugitives and are pursued by Faora and Kru-El, romantically linked manhunters known as "the Hounds of Zod."[14] This version of Faora, calling herself "the Tigress of Zod", later returns as an ally of Jor-El. She and Kru-El are both killed in a struggle against Kryptonian religious zealot

“Aren’t you my sister’s little pet?” Zaora asked as she spotted Rick in the food court of what had become her favorite mall. She didn’t care much for humans but their inventions marveled her to no end. So primitive and yet so enticing. “Speak to me when you are spoken to.”
“Yes, miss.” He said, very much beginning to get afraid. While Kara was... indifferent to humans(or at least him), Zaora definitely didn’t like them, and he was nervous that with his sister getting what she needed from him, she may decide he doesn’t need to be alive anymore.

Am I missing anything?
Post-crisis erased rokyn (enlarged kandor) & replaced it with a wormhole city thingy where other aliens were
erased Kara's existence (nobody knew about her as shown in Christmas with the Superheroes #2) and replaced her with a goop creature made by a pocket dimension Lex Luthor that later combined with another girl and they became an angel and then later a future person who was THOUGHT to be superman's daughter
replaced superboy with pocket universe superboy (who was then replaced by Mon-El - who was then erased from existence)
[speaking of Mon-El, Laurel Kent was revealed to be a robot because of this. and they replaced Supergirl with Mon-El's brother's descendant Laurel Gand - she was also erased]
Faora was replaced first by Zaora then by a kryptonian program, then by a version of her in the past except it was actually a brainiac constructed reality then by a Pokolistan metahuman
Zod was replaced by a pocket universe version, then then by a version of him in the past except it was actually a brainiac constructed reality, then a Pokolistan general who has red sun powers, then whatever the heck was going on in for tomorrow
Krypto was replaced by an Earth dog owned by Bibbo that hates Kon-El Superboy, then a brainiac creation
