Got this headcanon Stanley Pines faked a kidney surgery scar (aka self inflicted, jagged and unprofessional to really sell it) in case he was ever caught unprepared, off gaurd, or drugged those that try to go for it will stop because the bastard is "already" missing one so they leave him not wanting actual death on their hands.

meg and i were once again yammering about requiem in relation to amelia’s memorial and the use of rex tremendae being used specifically in the section of the memorial/narrative wherein daisy is shown with the fabric used to strangle amelia to death. the english lyrics are simply:

King of tremendous majesty, who freely saves those worthy ones, save me, source of mercy.

now one must bear in mind this entire memorial was zachary’s design and i do not think this was in reference to daisy. daisy is not a king in columbia; she’s the leader of the heretical vox populi, she’s everything they are not and everything they hate. she would never be referred to as a king. rex tremendae in the context of the memorial is in direct reference to zachary himself and the fact that he was supposed to be The Redeemer(TM). zachary has the power to freely save those he does deem worthy and show them mercy, but as he so eloquently put it in game, god shows mercy. he does not have to. this implies that in his eyes, amelia was simply not worth the mercy of being saved in his eyes.

Day 1 - Continued

I’ve been strapped into my launch chair. Normally, we’d be jovial, maybe with Wiktor yammering on about the farm conditions in Krakow (which he always had something to complain about,) or we’d hear Zachary say something stupid and adorable. But now we’re silent. Too nervous. Too worried about the task ahead. Through the metal walls of our vehicle, I can hear something: wind. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I hear something. Whispers. Whispers of my family members, of my mother, my father, and my grandfather. This is my life. This is what it’s all added up to. I’m ready.

I zone out entirely, focusing on the glow of the control panels before me. An array of switches and buttons I’ve been pressing and flicking for months. But now, they’ll be functional. If I push a button, something happens. This isn’t the simulator, but we’re supposed to pretend it is. The radio chatter grows silent excepting one monotonous drone speaking with timed pauses. I only catch the ending of what they had been saying:

Three, Two, One, Ignition.

In a single moment, I’m slammed into my chair, downright knocking the air out of my lungs. The vehicle rumbles, rumbles so violently I feel it down to my very bones. Down to every fiber of my being. The entire crew and I are one with the vehicle. And yet, as the forces become increasingly more and more crushing, and as it becomes harder and harder to breathe, the realization washes over me as I recall stepping onto the elevator platform.

That was the last time I’d ever stand on Earth’s ground. But I haven’t a moment to think. There’s work to do.

I hear Zachary speaking into his radio, talking about the roll program the vehicle takes as we ascend further and further into the sky. The vessel has very few windows, giving the entire launch a sensation of being compressed inside an increasingly more and more violent washing machine. I open my mouth to speak, to find I can’t breathe properly. To find myself gasping for air under the elephant standing on my chest. My vision goes dim, getting darker and darker and darker until...

You think anyone has called Stanley "Stankley" before? If not I'm so having it be a nickname bestowed by Crampelter and his goons. Simple and yet, effective. Feel like Mabel would jokingly use it to get Stan to shower/bathe and he's unbothered by it in his age because in the moment he prob does reek if his great grand niece is chiding him about it. "Stankford" is one Mabel made to match "Stankley".

I need young mullet Stan and young Ford content of Ford actually reaching out earlier to Stan for help or damn even Stan reaching out by actually getting a word or two out over the phone. Need them to headbutt and collide when they first get together, but weed through their recounting of events and realize things aren't adding up during or after a couple arguments. Then discuss and hone it down to the common factor of their stories being their Father. The damn constant in both their lives and the nagging, scolding voice always in the back of their minds. That the bastard fed Ford lies to Stan's disappearance and then flows into the extreme pressures their father put onto Ford once Stan was out of the picture to "succeed" in making them "millions".

So stupidly pumped right now!! How we feeling OFF fandom?!

Sometimes I long to have been an active participant of the Gravity Falls Fandom back when it first aired because I was OBSESSED with the show and the characters. Sadly I was only aware of Roblox at the time as an online space and had zero fucking idea of fandom spaces, so all that hype and excitement was contained to silly doodles long gone to time and thoughts/ideas I can't recall anymore.

All I remember is being excited for every new episode that dropped and being so surprised by the secret twin twist. Also really wanted to get a hug from Stan. He seemed to really need it and little me always imagine he'd give the best hugs. I still do. I also wanted to step on Ford's toes when he first popped up lol. I get it know though, missed a lot of context and lore (because lil me was fucking clueless wtf merch was and that they fucking made the books into REAL books).

Roughly two chapters in and I've just now discovered that comic sans (the font, but I still love you funky skeleton man) is actually really helpful to me when writing. Everything just flows better and I don't get stuck as much. Looked it up and apparently it's considered to be a good font for looks with dyslexia... I wish I knew this back in school.

Just for a little info, the off fandom is not really dead. It is still really active it's just small, if you want to see some stuff I'd recommend looking in the tags

(I mean this in the best of ways, I just want more people to know it's still there and active, specially in tumblr!)

Oh man, you must be new here or at least new to me and my blog! I know the OFF fandom isn't dead dead and still has active creators! Meant to it quotation marks around dead, but I think my sleepy, groggy self seemed to have forgotten it last night in my excitement, aaaa.

Been following the tags for nearly ten years now and my very first tumblr blog was an ask Batter and Zacharie blog years and years ago!! Sadly, I accidentally deleted it so it's long since lost to time. BUT YEAH, OFF is a beloved and all time favorite game of mine and I still keep up with the content that's still being made \o/

I also literally just got back from a con with friends where I dressed up as The Batter and one of them was Dedan a couple weeks ago, haha!
