TIME SENSITIVE: HELP AHMED AND HIS FAMILY ESCAPE GENOCIDE

No donations in 10 HOURS for my friend Ahmed, his wife Maram, and their three little children's evacuation fundraiser. I don't feel as though I should have to get into why this is unacceptable when lives are quite literally at stake. Ahmed (@ahmedpalestine) and his family are from Jabalia, which is suffering from the worst of Israel's attacks right now. Tanks are entering into Jabalia, and hundreds of people have been killed. But the actual death toll is unclear due to Jabalia being beseiged by Israel. Israel has ordered all the people of Jabalia (400,000 people!) to evacuate, while at the same time has Jabalia besieged (for more than a week now!). All 3 hospitals in Jabalia have been ordered to evacuate while massacres are happening, and Israel has attacked hospitals. But when people try to leave, they were shot by both snipers and drones!

Ahmed has also recently lost his cousin, who was bombed while fetching water for his family. He left behind his wife and 3 children, including a 2-month-old baby girl. I can't imagine the devastation Ahmed must be feeling right now, with his relatives and neighbours trapped inside Jabalia, and the recent death of his cousin. His 12 family members (including 6 children and Ahmed's 4-year-old brother!) are in constant danger. My heart hurts for them. Please help them out!

There is no describing the anger Cullen feels, the bitterness and contempt and ire as he enters the Council chambers for what he hopes is the final time. He’s begrudged every session thus far. He’s sat quietly as Josephine asked. He’s held his grumblings until the Council recesses. He’s riddled his notes with doodles of mabari and tally marks for each time the Orlesian duke touches his mustache, but he has done so without any vocal complaint, at least until the delegations from both countries have vacated the vicinity.

But this morning tests him more than any other as he follows Josephine into the chambers, Ellinor at his side, his hand flat on the small of her back not just to guide or to protect but to keep him from balling it into a fist at the very sight of the politicians before them. Propriety and decorum be damned. He doesn’t care what they see, if they see. She’s my wife. She shouldn’t be on her feet or out of her bed. She shouldn’t be here. She shouldn’t be wearing a dress that bares her arm to show them all she’s been through. She shouldn’t have to prove anything to anyone.

He knows they’re looking. Staring. Duke de Montfort, Arl Guerrin, their respective aides and advisors. He looks to Vivienne, but he’s spent enough time with the Inquisition—with Ellinor especially—to understand the machinations of the Game. The Divine makes no visual acknowledgment of Ellinor’s appearance, but she sees it. They all see it. Josephine sits quietly first, then Leliana beside her. He removes his hand from Ellinor only to pull out a chair for her.

She doesn’t sit. She doesn’t even look at him. No, her glare is trained ahead at the delegations before her. He’s been on the receiving end of that glare before. He doesn’t envy them.

im thinking abt ysali and the emperor both being "monsters", ysali a devil and the emperor a mindflayer, but neither treating the other as such. finding comfort in each other because they don't have to hide their true nature and can simply be

ysali is a soft place it can lay down its head after a long day of scheming and ambition, gives it a safe place to be a mindflayer with all that this entails

and the emperor in turn is someone she can drop her act around, who supports her academic endeavors, and yknow sometimes provides her with potential warlocks to manipulate.

also ik mindflayers are not immortal so my cute nepo baby will use the powers her daddy gave her to make sure the emperor stays by her side for as long as it wishes to remain so

This would be incredibly awkward otherwise.” Varha lets out a light laugh at her not-really-a-joke, and only then does he realize what he’s condemned himself to for the next two days. He likes her more than he should. He can’t deny that much; she’s invaded too many of his dreams over the last few months, body warm and arms inviting in each scene. Estinien has already resigned himself to never make mention of this to anyone, of course. He could handle being around her normally without betraying anything of himself. He was distinctly less certain of what he would do were he to wake at their shared campsite in the throes of yet another involuntary fantasy with her name falling from his lips, still heavy with the edge of sleep, groaning desperately while unconsciously seeking relief from his own palm as he’d done several times before. That scene would be considerably more awkward than the two of them happening to have the same destination in mind. Unfortunately, none of his education provided him with any sort of tools to back out of the arrangement once he’d agreed to it. He’d effectively sealed his own fate, and could only quietly pray to Halone (or anyone else who was listening) that his subconscious desires restrain themselves for just the one evening.

Hi everyone. I've been asked by Heshem (@support-hesham) to share his story with you.

Heshem is a father who dearly loves his family. When the opportunity to evacuate came, he chose to spend every single penny he had to evacuate his wife and 3 children, while he himself stayed behind in Gaza. His family is now in Morocco, while Heshem, not having the funds to evacuate, is still in Gaza. He now lives in a tent with his relatives, including his niece Seham who is injured and requires medical treatment. His uncle was recently shot and had bled to death.

His 3 young children: Katia (11), Nabil (5) and Linda (1), are now separated from their father. Katia is severely traumatized by the horrors she has witnessed in Gaza. She has seen her best friend and her cousin pulled from the rubble, seriously injured from sharpnel and the impact from the bombing, and she is scarred by this memory. Nabil is diagnosed with mild delayed speech, and this genocide has worsened his speech development. The only word he can say now is 'papa', who is trapped in Gaza and cannot be there with him.

The children miss their father a lot, and are constantly worried about him. They are afraid that their father will not survive the bombs, they fear that their father will not be able to find food and water. With the rising prices in Gaza, Heshem struggles to buy basic necessities. But he remains concern for his family abroad because he has no resources to support them. Please help Heshem reunite with his 3 young children!
