People keep talking about 'all the hate' fans have been 'attacking' watcher with over the past few days and I genuinely do not know what they are talking about.
#The vast majority of posts Ive seen were people expressing that they feel hurt#or giving actual criticisms about the move#sometimes there was a bit of snark#none of that is bullying#or hate#Have you watched internet drama before? This was incredibly measured#99% of youtubers making a move like this would have been torn apart within a day#but watcher is so well-liked that most people Ive seen are even accepting the apology#watcher#watcher tv#I get youre relieved that people arent posting criticism after criticism now#but that doesnt mean the backlash was just a bunch of hate#i wouldnt even have described it as particularly vitriolic#sure a few posts crossed lines but it was SO few compared to what you would usually see in something like this

idk if anyone else has seen it but there's this weird genre of book review i've been seeing lately that's essentially like. "this book was so dictated by the male gaze/what men want i refuse to believe the author is female" which is. yeah transphobic but also. just a crazy thing to say in general
#a youtuber i used to like posted a book review that was essentially this a while ago#and it made me stop watching them because it's terfy and frustrating#but i was reading reviews on a book i finished that was just kind of mid and i came across like three reviews that were just like this#also sidebar but why do people who don't like horror pick up horror novels and expect the book to cater to them#three or four of the reviews i found were like. watched whitepine 1. i think i want to gather all my thoughts on part 1 before moving on to the next installments but oh wow im excited to see where this story goes
#this is one of those projects that makes me wish minecraft youtubers hired professional voiceactors.#lowkey as i watch ive been imagining this as a fortiche production. & i dont mean either this or the thing about VAs as an insult!!!#it just . would feel right. this is so great i feel like im watching an award nominated indie film and not a minecraft production#and the reason i mentioned fortiche specifically is because their ability to make these odd inhuman designs (see: lest steb and babette)#fit right into the mainly realistic human world they inhabit in arcane was just wonderful and i loved it a lot#and i think that would work well with these wacky mcyt skins. like princezam is literally a yellow blob#anyway so those were all my little notes about how much i love animation . onto actually discussing the story#um . i really loved ivorys character. everyone else isnt very developed yet (understandable! ive watched 30 minutes of this thing so far)#you can get a grasp of what shes about. i liked the scene with seraptor where she freaks out a bit when asked if she doesnt like#how much he talks. it made me cry a little bit because i have Issues#and her referring to everyone as sir or ma'am and asking permission to do anything as well as always saying that she was staying#in the servant side of the house and all that is very . like just kinda sad. very interesting#i like the melancholic atmosphere everywhere as well as all the wideshots#(and i liked the parts where while following minute(? i think. not well versed in the names of this general crowd im ngl) ivory kept#looking around everywhere. and how she stood somewhere behind him when he was talking to the person at the gate or whatever#i like her!)#it all sets the tone very nicely . i like this series#go watch it maybe#voidcore.txt

#honestly i mostly use my laptop for watching youtube#but i play some games while on discord with friends. mostly just minecraft tho. thats probably the hardest it needs to handle#oh uncharted 4. thatd be nice#also like. ive been doing some intensive things to do with videos & shit recently. on gimp & photoshop and i would like whatever i need to#handle that. because adding in a bunch of layers kills my current laptop#(the errors scratch disk so.... memory?)#nyxtalks#all i know is. bigger number is better. right?#but also ive seen reviews saying like. bigger numbers only good if it can cool it. also i think my budget only extends up to 4070 anyway#and by budget i mean. how much i can force myself to spend on something before i cry#i want a laptop thatll last me at minimum 6 years. minimum.
