So Far Gone

Maybe It was me who was damaged, broken behind repair. Maybe it was I who should suffer the weight of a thousand voices. Maybe it was I who deserved to wield that pain. Blood is all I could see, the cuts dowsed in the crimson licked so thick, it had been comparable to molasses. 

Im sorry. Im sorry. Im sorry. I kept muttering as I place my other hand under my wrist and trailed to the bathroom. 

I was pleading with myself? Or was it someone else? A higer power? My mind was waves of knowledge and un-spoken words all jumbled in a mass of water, crashing against the rocks of a deserted beach. 

“Enid? Are you in there?” A knock sounded at the door, I found myself shuttering at the thought of him seeing me like this, So vulnerable. So Far gone.

“Enid?” Ajax knocked on the door once more, I kept my teeth clenched hopeful I had locked the door. The room was silent save for my shaky breaths and that’s when the door clicked open. 

I was in the bathroom, scrubbing at the cuts now lining my wrist. Desprete to make them disappear. Desprete to hide. The bathroom door was locked, that I was sure off. The rough fabric against the torn skin was adjacent to sandpaper running across a chalkboard. 

“Enid? Open the door”. His voice was calm but worry was woven throughout. “Enid?” My silent sobs were enough for him to bang on the door, My hand coming up to my mouth to silence my crys. 

“Enid.”. I couldn’t hide any longer, dread made its way onto my face and slowly, the bathroom door opened. 

“Enid-?” Ajax stopped in his tracks, his eyes falling to my wrist and then the bloodied washcloth. 

“No, You didn’t- Did you?” His eyes were full of sadness, and even disappointment. His beanie covering his snake-like hair seemed to sag with him. 

“No. No. No.”. His hand fell in front of me, wrapping two fingers around my lower wrist, desperate to avoid the cuts that now marked my flesh. I shivered when I felt his lips meet my flesh, the kisses were not passionate but filled with much-needed comfort. Comfort I seemed to lack. 

“Never again, I’ll make sure of it”.

"I hope this doesn't end bad" she sighed as JD left the pod

Star continued her daily routine, but the images and comments from last night were stuck in her head "I thought she got rid of that" "white is so not popular" "she looks like a freak" "I wonder what happened to her hair"

she sat all day thinking to herself 'I can't let them find out.....' those same words kept repeating over and over, the more she thought of it the more her worry had increased.

~time skip~

it was now afternoon and Star was finally starting to calm down until... a knock was heard on the door "wonder who that could be" she got up to open the door to see all the bros, standing there, looking worried and concerned "oh!.... hey guys... what brings you here today?" after a few moments of silence, Clay finally spoke up "hey Star.... we just wanna talk and ask you some things, is it ok if we come in?" ".... um.... yeah, it's ok" her tail slightly swayed from nervousness as she let them in

Once they all sat in the pod, there was an uncomfortable silence until Bruce spoke up "so.... JD told us about the concert and we wanna know...... What happened....?"

Star felt a lump in her throat and her tail wrap around her leg when Bruce asked, she tried sounding calm as she answered

"W-Well....the doctors say I was born with it..."

all the brothers looked at each other then back at Star not convinced "bullshit, Star just tell us the trut-" "John!, we can't be so hard on her, you know how she get sometimes" Floyd interrupted, reminding John at how anxious Star could get in a situations like this

"Star, we just wanna know....what happened, you don't have to lie to us" Floyd spoke, putting his hand on Stars shoulder, trying to comfort her

"yeah, you don't have to lie cause, we'll be right here" Branch said also trying to comfort Star

"Thats it!" JD snapped "look Starlight, we just wanna know what happened and who might've done this, just give me a name and I'll-"

"JOHN YOU CAN'T BE SO HARD ON HER WE'VE TOLD YOU THIS" Bruce yelled having enough of JDs demanding

"IM JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HER HAIR"

"I THINK YOU MEAN WE WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED JOHN, WE'VE TOLD YOU THAT SHE GETS ANXIOUS" Clay shouted also having enough of JDs demanding

as the three kept arguing back and forth, Star tried her best to be calm, it was just too loud, her breathing got rapid and she got fidgety but no one noticed cause John, Bruce and Clay were arguing while Branch and Floyd were trying to break it up until

"IT WAS VELVET AND VENEER, THEY'RE THE REASON WHY MY HAIRS WHITE!" she blurted out, just wanting them to stop arguing

the brothers immediately went quiet until they all said "what?"

i thought of sharing something with u today, there are days that you feel lonely in certain kinds of moments and you’re supposed to feel a lot of mixed feelings and that is alright, that’ makes us human after all.

There will be a day when we grow up to be successful personalities in this world, we make our choice on how to live our life but we must always always think twice before doing anything. Always believe in yourself, in everything you do there is a purpose....everything happens for a reason, it is a true fact;it may turn out the way you didn’t expect it but later on you will understand and figure out why it happened.

There will be days you will feel broken....i know i was a broken soul who lost her path, I’m still that girl but i do make good decisions that i don’t regret......the truth is don’t be ashamed of being broken, cause in every successful story, someone was broken and only you can only bring yourself up to the top and reach the sky, because sky is the limit for you.

I would call my freinds and listen to their serene voices and their comfort words. But there are times you have to pick yourself up from the ground and not give up on yourself, because there are layers of you that needs to be explored, your strengths, your weaknesses, your insecurites, only you can find that. Don’t let anybody tell you what you are cause they are not the judge of your life, you are. If you do feel lonely, the best way is writing, it has worked wonders for me and i feel a release when i write, which is a great feeling and i suggest you do too.

Take care of yourself and love yourself then only you can love someone else too:)
