i made this because i headcanon kris deltarune as a cane user with disabling chronic pain and want the world to know.

to submit, just put the character, what media they’re from, and (optional) the disability you headcanon them with. if you don’t have a specific disability in mind, that’s just as fine, it’s optional and specifics aren’t needed :3

your submission may include a fundraiser (most likely related to the disability represented in your requested character). if you have a specific charity/organization/fundraiser. you can dm/include it in your ask/ask separately! resources to learn more about disabilities are also appreciated :3

please be nice, don’t spam request (over 3 reqs per person), and remember that people with disabilities are people, and deserve your respect and kindness just as much as any able-bodied person!

i remember one of the early episodes mentioning how you only have access to 2-3 of your senses on lyoko so. aelita getting overstimulated on earth, totally overloaded by the loud noises, smells, feelings. freaking the hell out and snapping at her friends for a while before she (or like. yumi who is prone to migraines) figures whats happening and finding ways to compensate.

Books of 2025: ADRIFT IN CURRENTS CLEAN AND CLEAR by Seanan McGuire.

Ah, yes, my favorite January tradition: heartbreak in tiny series installment form :)

This one is about a turtle-obsessed disabled Russian girl who gets adopted by an American family and fitted for a prosthetic she doesn't ask for, want, or need, and then she splashes through her Door.

I love Russian language and culture things (shout out to accidentally double minoring in college), so I was excited for a Russian protag and a Russian-coded Door world! Excellent enrichment in my enclosure. Neat cultural expansion on the Wayward Children universe (multiverse? cosmos?? insert appropriately scaled setting word here).

I also liked the aquatic nature of Belyyreka--terrifying giant frogs and delightful giant turtles and delightful talking foxes on the riverbanks were all lovely, and the worldbuilding about different weights of water was neat! Very mind-bendy kind of setting, I dig it.

This installment felt very slim (146 pages in my copy), and Our World Heavy--the first 46 pages were in Colorado, and the last 100 were in Belyyreka, but it felt like we did More Frequent and Larger Time Skips in Belyyreka compared to Earth? Kind of speedrun mode, sans Quests, really (this one was a lot more oriented toward Finding/Building Your Family, which was signposted pretty clearly upon our arrival in Belyyreka). Mostly a quieter installment up until the, y'know, Typical Impending Tragedy of Return at the end. (Did I almost put it down at 1AM last night with 30 pages left so everyone could Be Happy? perHAPS,)

Overall: I had a good time! But, ow, my heart (once again and forever).

For the person who thought it was cute to come into my inbox and yell at me for not ‘doing more’ for their specific cause: I do not have anything left of myself to give right now.

This is what I have left for the rest of this month. $25.87. I have no food left that I can eat because I spent the last bit of food stamps on foods only fit for my mom’s sudden health problem. The day before yesterday I ate peanut butter even though it always makes me sick to my stomach because I didn’t have anything else I can eat with protein, and then I went into fucking anaphylaxis. And no, I did not go to the ER because then I’d have to take off my mask and I’m at extreme risk of covid and no one fucking masks in medical environments here but ALSO because my insurance loves to avoid paying for ER stuff. (See $25.87 above) I am already struggling to work on commissions and stuff for patreon as it is with all of my chronic health conditions kicking off big time. There aren’t enough hours in the day to spend being physically ill in the bathroom, laying down to cry in pain, and working. I do not have the energy. I do not have the time. I do not have the money. I do what I can when I can, and if that isn’t enough for you then you can fuck entirely off.

Who wants to hear about my Beelzebub and Belphegor hyper/hypothyroidism hcsssss bc I’m crazy

Okay so for reference:

HYPERthroidism is when your thyroid produces too MANY hormones in your body to the point where you become hyperactive, have increased appetite, intense mood swings/irritability, and can cause you to be extremely underweight if you can’t keep up with your hormones.

HYPOthyroidism is the exact opposite where your thyroid produces too LITTLE hormones which makes you lethargic/tired all the time, depressed, have little appetite, feel abnormally cold, and can make you gain a lot of weight.

Now, pair this with the twins and you can easily see why this might be a viable explanation for their respective “sins.” And before someone tries to say that these tendencies were spawned by them falling from grace, it has been shown in later lessons that the twins had these issues even in the Celestial Realm as Belphie would sleep away his responsibilities in trees and Beel was still known for his voracious appetite.

Also, both disorders can cause muscle weakness a deterioration. Something that Belphegor is noted to have. Not to mention, Beel’s constant working out can both help him keep his muscle mass AND help him with his hyperactivity as well as explain why he never seems to gain weight despite eating literal tons of food.
