i made this because i headcanon kris deltarune as a cane user with disabling chronic pain and want the world to know.

I don’t know if you’re still taking requests, but seeing Michael Shelley (and Gerry) with canes warmed my disabled lil heart so much, and I’d love to see more!

I draw my Michael Shelley using forearm crutches (yes it’s bc I use them too and I draw all my faves with them lol). My Michael Distortion I didn’t used to draw with mobility aids at all and then I saw the “Flamingo Crutch” on Pinterest and have been wanting to draw him using them ever since.

The point is I love your art so much and I would love to see more Michael with mobility aids of your choice if you still want to take requests! If not, no worries :)

THAT'S SUCH A COOL DESIGN!! It's extremely fitting for distortion Michael. I really want to make a full art piece of him with those some time later.

My Michael Shelley uses a foldable cane, and keeps a set of forearm crutches for days when the cane isn't enough (this would be my ideal strategy if I had forearm crutches lol).

And I project a lot of my chronic pain and illness onto Gerry so he uses one for chronic leg pain and asthma (you'd be surprised how much a cane helps with asthma). His is a pretty standard adjustable cane, mostly because it's convenient, but also because every pair of boots he owns has a different platform height so he needs the flexibility. He has a kandi chain on the wrist strap that Michael made for him, and he glued the spikes on himself. I have another post about my many headcanons about Gerry as a cane user.

winn schott with ocd, whose compulsions and intrusive thoughts get worse when he starts working for the deo. his friends, his family, being supportive and understanding of this and trying their best to ease the anxiety when they can.

winn schott developing did as a result of all the trauma he had to endure as a kid. winn schott with hearing loss, who removes his hearing aids whenever he needs a bit of peace and quiet. winn schott with pots, who leans on the solid muscle of kara or mon-el when he feels faint. winn schott with a service animal, winn schott with arfid or diabetes.

Class 1-A Headcanons! (part two)

I’m mainly going to be focusing on appearances and sexuality, as that is depicted in the images I edited.

Continuing with characters I headcanon as femme identifying (trans & cis girls). If any of your faves are not present please check part one & part three!

Here's Yuuga Aoyama, Ochako Uraraka, Denki Kaminari, Shouto Todoroki, Tooru Hagakure, and Momo Yaoyorozu!

Yuuga Aoyama (she/they/star/buzz)

Yuuga is transfeminine and omnisexual. She is not dating or crushing on anyone at this point in time.

They have Hyper-mobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and are constantly nauseas. Star also uses a cane on star's bad days. Its bedazzled and super pretty.

Buzz enjoys sewing, makeup, and rhinestones. She can be found in her bedroom with her pet bird, Glitter, or in the common area watching French TV.

Ochako Uraraka (she/they/aer/rose)

Ochako is a polyamorous, bisexual, xenogender user. She is dating Tsuyu Asui and Izuku Midoriya.

They are commonly nauseas due to over use of their quirk, but overtime that issue has been going away.

Ae enjoys soft aesthetics, working out, the color pink, and working with kids. Rose is usually in the gym, often with Eijirou Kirishima, baking, or spending time with rose's partners.

Denki Kaminari (she/they/buzz/shock/aer/he)

Denki is omnisexual, genderfluid, transfeminine, and uses xenogenders. She is dating Kyouka Jirou.

They experience muscle pain on the daily basis and are an epileptic due to their quirk. Buzz's quirk also causes litchenburg scarring, which, due to frequent electrical input, does not fade. He's also very tired all of the time.

Shock enjoys playing the guitar, drawing, and playing video games. Ae is often found doing those exact things, usually with company.

Shouto Todoroki (she/they/aer/rose/frost)

Shouto is transfeminine, omnisexual, and polyamorous. She is dating Momo Yaoyorozu and Izuku Midoriya.

They are blind in their left eye and have problems regulating their temperature due to their quirk. Ae is also autistic.

Rose enjoys ice skating, drawing, and reading romance manga. Frost is often found in the common room attempting to sketch one of frost's classmates, but often Tsuyu Asui during her naps, or reading their mangas.

Tooru Hagakure (she/they/name)

Tooru is polyamorous and bisexual. She is dating Mashirao Ojirou and has a slight crush on Mina Ashido.

They are not constantly invisible, but due to severe social anxiety, they feel more confident when they are. It is rare to see Tooru visibly, though Ojirou reports that he thinks Tooru is cute, he's pretty biased.

She enjoys braiding hair, stuffed animals, and working out. She can be found in the gym with Mashirao Ojirou or Ochako Uraraka, baking with Rikido Sato, or spending time in their room.

Momo Yaoyorozu (She/they/bloom/rose)

Momo is a polyamorous lesbian. She's dating Shouto Todoroki and Kyouka Jirou.

Due to their quirk's use of their fat cells, they are often dangerously thin after a mission. To combat this, bloom uses a feeding tube when they are too weak after a mission. Rose is also anemic because of this. She tries to compensate by eating more, which does lead to her gaining weight before a mission, but it never ends up being enough, so a feeding tube was her best choice.

They enjoy goth music, playing the piano, embroidery, and tutoring. Bloom can be found with either of bloom's partners engaging in a variety of activities, playing the piano, or tutoring any variety of bloom's classmates.

Disclaimer: Please notice that I'm going to talk only from personal experience, so what I'm saying might not apply to everyone!

(For context! My condition is characterised by extremely frequent and painful dislocations, so my aids aim mostly to avoid that or to give me the time and stability needed to recover from bad dislocations! Aside from wearing braces daily, and from these acute episode recovery times, I live a very active life, so the issues I've encountered are radically different from someone with a SCI, for example.)

Now, let's get straight into the whump (on top of the whump your poor fave is already experiencing):

-Braces: Fantastic, fantastic invention. They make everything easier, but can be awful if they're not used carefully. Personally, I wear AFOS, (they basically keep your ankles in place and prevent things like foot drop, therefore reducing the likelyhood of tripping on your own feet). Now, here's the issue. Shorts are a terrible idea. When it's really hot and you want to wear shorts and you're planning to go for a walk, the only way to prevent chafing your shins to the point of bleeding is wearing knee high socks. 🥲

Same thing goes for all rigid braces that come in contact directly with the skin, like knee braces and rigid corsets.

And while braces can help a lot with stability, if used improperly they can lead to issues like atrophy.

Also, not whump, but honorable mention for finger splints. The metal ones are sooo comfy and make your character look extra badass. Just saying.

-Canes/crutches: Blisters, blisters, blisters. Blisters and tendinitis to no end. When canes are used only for balance, it's not a huge issue, but if you have to put pressure on them (this applies more to crutches than canes tbh), you tend to get blisters all over your hands and tendinitis in your wrists. Especially with crappy hospital crutches. That's why most long term users tend to have their own customized aids. It's a game changer, honestly.

Also consider. A character who faints often using canes to give themselves enough stability to safely get to the ground instead of faceplanting.

Last thing: perpetually cold fingers during the winter.

-Wheelchairs: This only applies to manual wheelchairs. I know nothing about electric ones.

Hospital wheelchairs, once again, are terrible. They will most definitely give you terrible sores on your palms from propelling yourself. The pushrims BURN your skin if you only think of doing sudden movements. They're heavy, bulky, get stuck everywhere, and there's an extra chance of ruining your furniture. 😮‍💨

Active/custom wheelchairs, on the other hand are a whole other universe. They're tailored to the user's needs, they are ultra light and compact, and super easy to maneuver, and you can actually do wheelies in them to roll over obstacles or difficult terrains (unlike hospital chairs). However, this makes them less stable and a higher fall risk.

Not to mention the perpetually frozen fingers during the winter months (hello frostbite!).

Due to inactivity, a whumpee in a wheelchair is more likely to feel cold, and to develope atrophy and muscular issues. Not to mention, wearing and tearing of arm/shoulder joints and contracture of the shoulders and back from the constant self propelling.

Not to mention, pressure sores! That's pure hell to put your whumpee through, and potentially dangerous!

Oswald Cobblepot (Gotham/DC Universe) is Cripplepunk

Oswald Cobblepot is a cane user with a visible spasm in his right leg, the latter has been present from the beginning as he visibly struggled to walk where as the former did not come in until the third season, which greatly aided him. Delaying the use of necessary mobility aids is a struggle a lot of disabled people deal with. His leg also causes him pain and discomfort. His specific disability is never stated, and so is left to the viewer’s interpretation. He is also shown to be a trauma survivor, he has a mother who is toxic or abusive depending on your interpretation - she is overly familiar, comes to see him in the bath, and refuses to give him privacy. She grows angry when she thinks he has a partner, he is greatly affected by her death, his own turbulent relationship with Ed Nygma, his torture and forced lobotomy whilst he was in Arkham, and the death of his father plus abuse by his father’s relatives are all elements which give him anxiety and flashbacks. This suggests he has PTSD. Oswald Cobblepot is cripplepunk.

Other possible disabilities: Bipolar Type 1, and Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD).

OK look as a follow-up to that post I wrote about post+ that has now been reblogged into bubbles of Tumblr I dare not visit, I wanted to clarify one thing. Because in addition to “artists need the money,” another pro-post+ rebuttal I’ve seen is the idea that “well, Tumblr has to make money somehow.” Typically phrased as if I am a) a child who doesn’t understand how money works (when we all know I’m an extremely old lady who lives in a cottage in the woods shaking her cane at the clouds) or b) I’m a lefty idealist who just doesn’t understand the Practical Realities Of Modern Finance.

(This latter is typically an argument fronted by right-wing groups to shoot down policies that help people at the expense of corporate interests, ~coincidentally.) 

And I just wanted to gently rebut that because first of all. There is no indication from Tumblr that they are desperate the money. The Post+ rollout did not start with “guys, we super need to make internet rent or we’re gonna get internet evicted, accept this new feature or the website will close forever.” The Post+ rollout in fact doesn’t mention money for Tumblr at all, it mentions that you, the artist!! should be excited and grateful to make money for you!!! aaaand incidentally we’ll be taking a cut.

The dichotomy of “we must accept Post+ because the alternative is Tumblr shutting down” is a false one, that isn’t borne out by evidence. And once you allow the goalposts of the discussion to be shifted there, it becomes impossible to argue your way out of it. This is an intentional strategy, do not waste your energy with it.

Tumblr already generates revenue. It is not a free service because it’s a nonprofit. If you’re not using blocker software or if you’re on mobile, Tumblr is absolutely plastered stem to stern with ads and those are explicitly so that Tumblr can make money. There are limits to the data mining possible because Tumblr allows anonymity, but even a cursory google shows that attempts are being made and even “fun” features like fandometrics are evidence that they can pull monetizable user information from the back end.

And then, even if - even if - Tumblr truly can’t make their internet rent and they are going to shut down without increased income. There are also tons of other options that are not paywalled content that they can exercise to generate revenue. I’ve already seen several posts noting that a more palatable option for users would be a pay-for-features system, where users pay a monthly fee - perhaps $3.99/month - for options like idk. Ad-free pages, a version of Tumblr Messenger that doesn’t break all the time, the ability to post NSFW fanart, a mobile app that doesn’t crash, fancy icon skins where your fave wears a silly hat, whatever. With the option to have a free account for users who don’t wish to or are unable to pay.

This change is a deliberate choice that indicates a direction Tumblr as a website wants to take. And as their angry, semi-feral userbase we absolutely do have a choice in whether we accept this feature as a given or fight to keep it out of fandom spaces.

(Also in case this also gets distantly reblogged: don’t monetize your fanworks don’t monetize your fanwoooooorks. There’s a great post going around here on the TOS and Tumblr will 100% throw you under the bus if your paywalled content is violating intellectual property laws.)

for a bit of clarification, hes very often seen with an umbrella more than anything using the umbrella as a cane and often times the end of the umbrella is a penguin head-shaped handle similar to marry poppins parrot umbrella handle. i am counting this as a cane as some umbrellas can and do double as canes.

Okay that whole thing with the Kwami all wanting to see fu was cute. Wayzz was especially precious.

Overall, I do find myself enjoying Su Han's character more. Mostly because he gets his comeuppance. The lore was cool to learn, though Su Han kind of proves how... archaic and ineffective the old order is. There are some cool things in there. I did love the ladynoir and that Akuma is solid. But there was no Plagg in this so minus points there.

So overall 7.5/10 needs more Plagg

It was a pretty tame episode. Not the best, not the worst. If this is the general quality of season 4. I would be alright with it.

Pokemon Sw/Sh Hug Headcanons

my first time actually posting headcanons, just thought of this and it made me happy

(under the cut b/c it’s pretty much all important/recurring characters minus Swordward and Shieldbert b/c,,,i don’t like them)

Hop: Quick, tight hugs. He’s hyper, and doesn’t have time to have a long hug with one person, he wants to hug everyone right NOW! Only exception to this is if he’s comforting someone, or he’s being comforted himself. In times like that, he’ll just let the hug last a bit.

Leon: TIGHT HUGS, AND BEST HUGGER IN GALAR!! Who do you think Hop gets his tight hugs from? Lee will squeeze you, pick you up in the hug, and just hold on for a moment (i just really need a hug from lee, i think we all do). Will keep an arm around you after the hug, just to keep you close.

Sonia: Gentle hugs, usually a brief side hug. Unless you’re Nessa close to her, then it’s a full on hug, tight and with a kiss on the cheek. Pulls away so she can look at you and talk, but keeps her arms around you.

Professor Magnolia: She’s a grandma! Of course she gives good hugs! Very gentle since she’s old and kinda frail, if you squeeze her she’ll probably laugh, or demand you let go. Could go either way.

Bede: Oh, this bastard. He’d act like he hates hugs, like he’s too good for them, above some stupid show of affection...But as soon as someone he can tolerate hugs him, he doesn’t want them to let go. Loose hugs, just puts his arms around the other person gently. However, if the other person squeezes him, he’ll squeeze back tighter. He’s not losing to them in this “who can hug tighter” game.

Marnie: Very gentle hugs. She’s gotten confident since she started the Gym Challenge, but is still pretty timid. Basically just a shy kid/teen that feels kinda awkward with hugs, but also kinda likes them and wishes there were more chances to hug people (totally not speaking from experience here). 

Chairman Rose: Gladly gives fans hugs, and accepts hugs if he has time...Usually he’s too busy though, having Oleana pull him away from anyone that wants a hug. His hugs are quick but firm, usually patting the other person on the back. 

Oleana: Not a hugger. But if she does let someone hug her, she’s very light with her hugs. Just a quick embrace, probably just uses one arm, not even a full-on hug. If she’s hugged unannounced, she just calls for security. Do not hug her if she doesn’t explicitly tell you she’s okay with it (i mean, same goes for anyone tbh). 

Milo: YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS BOY GIVES 10/10 HUGS. Do you see his arms? Those arms probably feel like pure comfort and affection. He HUGS his pokeball when he Dynamaxes, so I imagine he will hug you on sight. How dare you enter his line of vision and not prepare for a bone-crushing hug. Definitely pats the other person’s back, kisses their head, and lets the hug last a while, squeezing real tight before letting go (Piers and Rai may be my big faves, but Milo gives off Amazing Hug Energy). 

Nessa: Kinda like Sonia, she gives gentle hugs. A bit firmer than Sonia, though. She’ll rest her head on the other person’s if they’re shorter, or rest her head on their chest if they’re taller. Gentle as heck. 

Kabu: Grandpa time. Gives quick hugs, patting the other person’s back/shoulder before letting go. If you’re close to him, he probably hugs a bit longer and tighter (guess you could call it a warm hug??).

Allister: TIMID. Do NOT try hugging this boy, he’ll get uncomfortable. If he initiates a hug, he’s very gentle, and still extremely unsure. Hug back, but GENTLY. Don’t squeeze! He WILL get upset, and Gengar WILL come out to defend his trainer! Really comfortable with the other gym leaders, though. Will occasionally run to Melony, Bea, or Raihan for a hug.

Bea: Also not the biggest fan of hugs, but if you ask her for one, prepare for a tight hug. Will make you regret hugging her, squeezes until your back cracks. 

Opal: Another grandma, but different hugger. Picky with who she hugs, and when she does hug someone it’s usually light. She’s frail, but don’t underestimate her. Will trick you with a hug sometimes, gentle at first...But will squeeze the HELL out of you...Just because she can. Worst part: You never know which hug you’ll be getting. Loves keeping people guessing.

Melony: For an ice type user, she give the warmest hugs. Very snug grip, pretty much cradles the other person in the hug. Will reassure the person she’s hugging if they need it, or just ask how they’re doing. If someone needs a hug, she’ll be there right after Lee. Her battle style is brutal, but her hugs are so, so gentle. 

Gordie: Oh, you want a hug? Sure, he doesn’t mind hugging a fan! Gives pretty tight hugs, pretty quick ones too, definition of “bro hug”. Pats the other person’s back, will ruffle their hair when they pull away (he has like 4 siblings, he’s pretty skilled at hugging).

Piers: Big fave time. He has a lot of fans, and a little sister, so he’s become pretty comfortable with hugs over time. Quick hugs for fans, tighter and longer hugs for Marnie. If you’re close to him, he gets pretty flustered with hugging. If someone else initiates the hug, he gets pretty shy and flustered, but hugs back gently. If HE initiates it, expect a tighter hug (nothing bone-crushing, but just very firm), a hug that’ll last a bit before he decides that it’s been long enough. He doesn’t seem like the kind to be into hugs and touching, but actually probably craves it.

Raihan: SECOND BEST HUGGER IN GALAR (since he’s Lee’s rival). Will hug you tightly, pick you up in the hug, spin you around, and not let go for a while. Also expect videos and selfies, he’ll let Rotom fly around to capture the hug. Has probably recorded himself hugging every gym leader + Lee by surprise, just hug-tackling all of them out of the blue to get a reaction. This resulted in Gengar chasing him, Opal lightly hitting his head with her cane/umbrella, a very flustered Piers, and Leon totally expecting it, and hugging even tighter.

Avery: Ew, a hug?? Fine, but only because he feels bad that you’ll never be as great as him. Another case like Bede, except he’s genuinely somewhat uncomfortable with hugs. Only seems truly comfortable with hugging Mustard and Honey. His hugs are pretty light, nothing extreme. 

Klara: I know next to nothing about Klara except that she’s similar to Avery. But judging from that, I assume she’ll hug reluctantly, very light, and shove the other person away when she thinks it’s been too long. If someone asks for a hug, she’s smug about it. Why, of course you want a hug from her, she’s the best!

Mustard: For an old man, he gives stupidly tight hugs. Hugs like a Bewear, blames that on being the Dojo Master.

Honey: Quick and tight hugs, will gush over the other person like a proud mom if they’re close. Actually, even if she’s not close to someone/has just met someone she’ll hug them as a greeting. 

Hyde: He’s probably more of a high-five person. Only hugs his parents, and high-fives/fist bumps everyone else. Super chill inventor kid.

Salty asks: 1-27.

Assuming this is the fandom of your namesake. 

1. OTP that I just don’t get. Probably Sam/Tron. Not to say some folks can’t REALLY fucking rock it (see the “We Are Pilots” verse), but it takes a lot of work. Their only meeting in canon was in a duel to the death with the Program being brainwashed and crazy, and Sam has very little if any reason to even like the guy, even in a post-Legacy setup. 

2, Fandom OTP I only BroTP:  Probably Tron/Ram. Ram had too much chemistry with Flynn, and Tron was single-minded enough about Yori to put his deity on hold. While I can very easily see group marriage as a normal part of Program society, it’s not something I can see in canonical circumstances. 

3. Unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion? Nope. But if they trash my faves, I hope they can back up their dislike with a very good argument. 

4.  A NoTP for my fandom. Not touching Sam/Alan with a 10-meter Rod Primitive. The age gap for one, the paternal role Alan took for two, the fact Lora is not dead in this timeline third, the fourth is the possibility of OT3: Shall We Dance making this ship even more brain-breaking.

5. Has fandom ruined a pairing for me? Not in this fandom, but I’ve avoided the hell out of some shows because I saw the fandom for them was such a big ball of crazy that I wanted to avoid it like kryptonite. 

6. Has fandom made me enjoy a pairing I previously hated? I’m not sure if it’s a good thing, and I’m not sure I’d call it “enjoy,” but there are some Clu/”Rinzler” fics that almost make the whole thing come out as something marginally less squicky and more interesting than “sadist and his sex slave.” 

7. Anything I used to like but dislike now? Y’know, I kinda used to dig Flynn/Alan slash. But after I realized I could make a drinking game out of them (take a shot if they mention Lora, chug the whole thing if they mention Jordan - stay sober the whole night), they lost a lot of appeal. I’ll make an exception for “Shall We Dance” scenarios. Heck, I love Shall We Dance because it’s a very different matter if Lora’s aware and on board with the whole thing. Heck, if someone upgrades it to an Ot4 of “Shall We Dance With Jordan,” then I owe them a six-pack of top-quality beer or cane-sugar soda and my enthusiastic gratitude. 

8. Anon hate? Yes. Received it. But over politics, not fandom. It’s to be expected. The Galaxy Rangers list used to have “don’t talk to Allronix about politics” as one of the bylaws. 

9. Most hated character? Probably Pavel. He’s such a transparent slimeball with little in the way of interesting motivation. Tesler? While he’s a nasty piece of work, there’s wiggle room to argue that he’s doing what he’s doing for the good of the system and doesn’t like doing what he does. Sark? Incredible ham and definitely one note, but David Warner plays the best creeps ever.  (He out-creeped Malcolm McDowell, that’s near-impossible) 

10. Most disliked arc. Probably the Isos. I’m still not sure what they were, or why they were special or what was so great about them, or how they would change everything, aside from the implication they were partly biological. Which is great and all, but the way it was handled has an “organics rule, synthethics drool” vibe that is pretty insulting when everything else in the franchise shows that the Programs are just as capable of love, hate, morality, humor, and free will as the humans who built them. 

11. Unpopular character I like that the fandom doesn’t? I just had to have the bad luck…or the good luck…to latch on very hard to the Tron 2.0 characters. Good luck in that it’s unexplored territory. Bad luck in that I seem to be the only one who writes Mercury, or Crown, or I-No. 

12. Unpopular arc I like the fandom doesn’t? 2.0 again. What got me about it is that the 1982 and Legacy films dealt with malevolent AI who were cruel of other AI and wanted to extend the cruelty. 2.0 inverted it; the uncorrupted Programs were, with very few exceptions, wanting to protect themselves and their home. The corrupted Programs were driven insane by a User who embraced the worst parts of the role. And then you had F-Con who planned to crank that up even more so that they could rule both worlds from the shadows. It really needed to be explored more, as it was a great start. 

13. Unpopular opinion about a character: Sam Flynn kinda spooks me. He has no reason to be merciful or benevolent to Programs. As far as he saw, his dad believed in them, and they stabbed his dad in the back, kept his dad away from him, tried to kill him, tried to kill Quorra, killed all of Quorra’s people, and eventually killed his dad right in front of him. And he’s taking over command of a software company with barely any time to process that trauma.  It’s probably not going to end well for the Programs unless something intervenes.

14. Unpopular opinion about the fandom: They have very little interest in reclaiming the female characters from the margins, and that’s quite frustrating. Quorra and Paige get some fics here and there, but even those petered out. Yes, this fandom is VERY heavily skewed male, but you’ve got Quorra, Paige, Mara, Gorn, Lux, Yori, Lora, Gem, etc. in Legacy canon, and some great potential with Mercury, Ma3a, and Eva Popoff if you import from 2.0. I was hoping to see at least SOMEONE write up a fanfic about Jordan. What kind of woman could handle a brilliant, cheerful, crazy ball of energy like 80′s!Flynn?  

15. Unpopular opinion about the canon: Legacy is very difficult for me to watch. Even though it totally brought the whole thing back from the dead, it’s just frustrating to watch. Not to say everyone didn’t bring their A-game to it, but it took everything that made the first film so much fun and destroyed it, ending up as a depressing waste where everyone loses, and Dillinger Jr is just waiting in the wings to cause even more trouble. 

16. If I could change anything about the canon, what to change? Tron 2.0 totally happened. It would not be hard to come up with a workaround for Ma3a that keeps Lora alive. There’s probably about three or four ways I could come up with other than the made of crack one I’ve got going in my fics. 

17. Instead of X happening, I’d go with Y: If you want something other than “instead of 2.0 being thrown out the airlock, it’s part of canon,” I would have loved to see Sam get rescued by Bartik’s crew (Bonus points if Yori’s running the damn thing) and then meet up with his dad and Quorra. That way, there could have been a little more complexity to the Grid situation and a way to avoid the whole “Programs are evil!” thing Legacy ended up with.

18. Does not shipping something ‘popular’ mean you’re in denial and/or biased? Shipping, IMO is shorthand for schools of character interpretation. Someone who ships Quorra/Sam is going to have a different take than someone who ships Quorra/Zues, or Quorra/Paige. They’re all looking at the same data, but the interpretation of the data is going to vary.   

19. One thing I dislike most about my fandom: It’s a back alley of the 80′s that its own company barely wants to admit they did. This makes canon and newcomers a little hard to come by.

20. Purest ship in the fandom. Tron/Yori was my first OTP. They’re still my OTP, because 82!Tron was such a sweet, earnest dork and Yori was such an adorable, sneaky badass. Post-Legacy? It’s going to be one heck of a climb no matter which guess you take about Yori’s fate (And seriously? Morgan got gypped), but having those two limp off into whatever digital sunset there is would be the closest we get to a happy ending that’s canon-compatible.

21. Crack ships? A crack ship for the sake of a crack ship is a “no thanks!” But there are ships that look like someone did them on a three-drink dare that actually manage to work. I’m thinking to KOTOR fandom where someone made a REALLY awesome case for Canderous/Bastila that should not have worked and totally did. 

22. Popular character I dislike: It’s not so much “dislike” as “I’m not sure what to make of them.” Really wanted some development on Sam. Quorra got Evolution and a nice episode of Uprising, but Sam…he’s still a bit of a blank to me. 

23. Unpopular character I adore:  I especially latched on hard to Jet Bradley after reading the Ghost in the Machine comic because he had clearly done a lot of thinking about what being a User means in that setting, and was bringing up points no one else bothered with. As such, he makes an excellent foil and walking deconstruction fleet while still being, ostensibly, one of the good guys. 

24. Would I recommend Tron to a friend? Only with a ton of disclaimers. This was made in the EARLY 80′s, by people who apparently had no fucking idea what they were doing, and Disney probably signed off on it while under the influence of something. But the combination ends up as something inexplicably brilliant and probably launched thousands of computer animation careers and hundreds more IT careers. 

25.   How would I end it? I’ve got fics in mind for it. I kitbash 2.0 and Legacy shamelessly. The ending I have in mind? Well, Alan and Lora end up giving up their lives in analog to rebuild the Rome Flynn started. Jet ends up dedicating his life to serving the Programs and goes a bit native. Mercury and Tron act as the primary “knights” of Alan and Lora. Sam and Quorra handle much of the rest in the analog world, slowly trying to open up the world and make it ready for the revelation of the digital one. And Yori runs a reformation of the Program religion so that they are prepared to accept the Users as fallible beings who are still powerful, but less “worship as deity” and more “we depend on one another - don’t screw it up.” 

26. Most shippable character? Probably Flynn. I can see him as a fellow who would (prior to the coup) enjoy himself and his opportunities to the fullest, including trying anything twice sexually. 

27. Least shippable character: Probably Esomond Baza. He’s a coward with so little self-esteem, self-respect, or a moral compass that he needs a few months of therapy before even thinking of a date.
