Shit!
Alastor is the last person he wants to see right now. The part of Vox's thoughts that run on programs helpfully make a long, long list of people he'd prefer to have come across him in this state of being, and Alastor remains at the very bottom even speaking purely statistically. He isn't an unknown variable, and that's what makes his presence dangerous; Vox knows exactly how much of a danger Alastor could be to him.
Tumblr media
"What the fuck are you-u-u-u doing here?" Vox asks, keeping straight posture and open hostility. His speech output chugs and glitches more than usual, and he can feel the expression on his face temporarily shift for a few pixels. "You've got some fucking nerve being in thi-thi-thi-this part of town when I-I'm the one who's running the show over here!"
(It had been Valentino's fault. A rough night had damaged his internal fans and Vox hadn't noticed. His functionality could overheat and shut down at any time; the only thing he can do is maintain a mask of superiority.)
"I mean, seriously, do you wa-a-a-a-ant to get your ass kicked again or something? Believe me, I'd be happy to deliv-iv-iver."

i'm going to try something new. i'm going to take you along in my journey of transformation and growth and healing, and i'm going to share with you my personal readings, learnings and shadow work. i hope you enjoy, think and grow with me!
where am i heading right now?
Three of Cups -- you are heading towards a time of celebration and fun with friends.
Page of Wands -- you are heading towards embodying the spirit of the rogue, making enemies but enchanting just as many with your heart and charisma and intelligence.
Three of Wands in reverse -- you may experience frustration and delays in your journey, perhaps even returning home. but remember you can turn this energy upright and continue forward in your goals.
Nine of Coins in reverse -- you are heading towards superficiality, overinvestment and being work-obsessed. but remember that with the Three of Cups, it doesn't have to be this way in the long run. you have the power to recognise your priorities and shift your focus, balancing your life the way you deserve to.
The World -- this is a Major Arcana card, so it casts a theme over the reading. you may reach a satisfactory, fulfilling conclusion soon regarding all of this. with every ending comes a new beginning.
Three of Swords -- you may be heading towards heartbreak, or hurting yourself. this is a card of self-sabotage, so remember that your survival mode fears don't serve you in a safe, secure and happy life.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
‎what do i need to know right now?
Secret Spring speaks of success. success that you already have. you are deserving of success. when you feel as if and behave as if you are already successful, more success pours in. the Secret Spring Fairy is here with you, and encourages you to be your own hero emerging from the waters.
Spirit Guardian of Spring speaks of activation. now is the time for speaking your truth, and diving into new adventure. it's a fertile time, of new growth and energy and turmoil too! but remember that it's all part of the exciting time of activation.
Spirit Guardian of Winter for retreat suggests it's time to retreat from situations and people that do not serve you or empower you. it's time to nurture your inner resources, your wellspring that you have inside of you. cosy up by the fire inside your cabin in the blizzard and rest.
Fire Spirit for energy reminds you of Creation. you have so much energy right now, so much life and vivacity and motivation. fire represents Creation, creativity and imagination -- and you have plenty. now is the time to act.
Enchanted Forest Grotto is about refuge. the ferns, fairies and forest creatures are welcoming you into their abode to shelter you. you've been doing a lot lately, and it's time to nurture yourself. practice extreme self-care.
Ancient Oak Spirit. strength. you are being called to stand in your power, but not overmuch. speak your truth, because there are possibilities of mystical experiences ahead.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
shadow work
these readings are seemingly giving conflicting messages, and that speaks to me of a chaotic time. which is true, i'm going through much growth and stagnation, learning and failure, magic and mundanity. i feel as if i'm experiencing two halves of a story at once, like i'm trying to make two different halves of a puzzle fit together but it's not meshing.
i think this is very much a call to reprioritize. i've been doing a lot of new things, but also keeping with old mindsets. i need to practice doing new things with new mindsets. i need to figure out how to colour the two puzzle halves the same colours, or else discard one for the other.
i think i do need to discard one half actually. this metaphor is about my survival mode. my fears. my self of the past 27 years. i need to figure out how to let go of all of this, because i don't need it anymore.
i don't need it anymore because i need to focus on who i am becoming. someone who is radiant, kind, beautiful. someone who is intelligent, empathetic, silly. someone who is loving, lively, chatty. i need to become more of these things, because even though i already am these things, i have so much untapped potential.
the old me likes to dwell in negativity, funnily enough. you may not catch that vibe from me at first since i try to be such a sunshiney person, but i tend to assume the worst, force myself to look past red flags, and then get rose-coloured glasses.
i need to listen to my instincts more instead. instead of listening to what my trauma, what my fears, scream at me, i need to listen to the whispers of my gut. anxiety screams, instincts whisper. and i know i want to become more of a intuitive force for good.
by feeling my way through my fears, i can let go of the desire to always be in control, i can let go of the desire to self-sabotage, i can let go of all that doesn't serve or empower me.
and i feel my way through my fears as follows. my fear is always abandonment, or betrayal. i always behave in ways ... i always have behaved in ways that felt to me as if they minimised my chances of getting abandoned or betrayed.
but i know that that's not how it works, actually. you need to live your truth. you need to express yourself. what you can't accept runs your life, and that means that the way i catered to people ran my life. i refused to accept the truth of myself. but now, i refuse to try to cater to everyone anymore.
instead of people-pleasing, i will express myself. i will speak my truth. i will cry and laugh and live loud. everything i do will be in balance -- neither solely for myself, or solely for anyone else. i will practice walking the middle path and gently guide myself into a life that equitably supports me, and my partner.
there isn't a hard and fast fix for any of this. i know i need to take little steps forward everyday. practice working on believing i deserve my current success, and putting that belief into practice. i will do my utmost best to have a life that i want.
it's not a matter of urgency. it's not a matter of spite. it's a matter of need, deserving, and love. it's an act of extreme self-love to choose a path that supports me. that makes me feel like i am empowered. not necessarily in control, but free, alive, and myself.
i will always choose love, both for myself and the people around me.

A Guide to Empty Vape Disposables
Tumblr media
Have you ever stumbled upon a product so versatile, it practically demands your attention? Empty vape disposables—those unassuming, lightweight gadgets—offer just that. They’re a quirky concoction of innovation and convenience, letting enthusiasts tailor their own vaping escapades. But what makes them so enchanting, so irresistible? Let’s plunge into their realm and uncover their secrets, layer by layer.
Why Empty Vape Disposables Are the Wild Card of Vaping
Craft Your Flavor Symphony: These gizmos let you play conductor to your e-liquid orchestra. From tangy citrus to earthy CBD oils, you control every nuanced note.
Pocket-Sized Sorcery: Imagine holding freedom in your palm. No bulk, no tangle of wires—just sleek, on-the-go simplicity.
Frugality Meets Fun: Why shell out for pre-packaged pods when you can whip up your own mix? Budget-friendly and boundlessly creative.
Silent Rebels: Small and subtle, these devices make no scene, no fuss. They blend into your life, almost like a whisper.
Slightly Greener, Slightly Cleaner: While not perfect, many models embrace recyclable components, nudging towards eco-consciousness.
How To Tame These Tiny Beasts
So you’ve bagged yourself one of these wonders—now what? Let me walk you through it. (Cue an embarrassing story: my first attempt ended in a sticky mess because I filled it like I was pouring syrup on pancakes. Don’t be me.)
Filling the Tank: Open it gently—think first date level of care. Dribble your chosen liquid in; don’t drown the poor thing.
Wait for the Magic: Patience, my friend. Give it a moment so the coil soaks up the nectar. Otherwise, you’ll get a puff as dry as a desert breeze.
Take It for a Spin: Some require a button; others simply react to your draw. Either way, the first inhale? Pure alchemy.
Say Goodbye Gracefully: When the battery keels over, don’t just chuck it. Hunt down a recycling station—it’s the least you can do.
Picking Your Champion
Not all empty vape disposables are knights in shining armor. Choose wisely, like picking the ripest fruit at the market.
Tank Size Matters: A larger tank might seem appealing, but ask yourself—do you need the extra capacity?
Battery That Bows to No One: A feeble battery will betray you. Aim for something that lasts the dance.
Compatibility: Fancy oils won’t play nice with every device. Choose one that embraces your chosen concoction.
Leakproof or Heartbreak-Proof: Nothing ruins a day faster than a soggy pocket. Test for durability and tight seals.
The Many Faces of These Curious Contraptions
What makes them such all-rounders? Their sheer adaptability.
Nicotine Enthusiasts: Empty disposables let you control your buzz—strong and bold or feather-light.
CBD Connoisseurs: Soothing oils, paired with a portable vessel. Bliss on the go, like a secret you carry in your pocket.
THC Trailblazers: Perfect for those who prefer concentrated experiences in discreet, disposable shells.
A Few Tips for the Road
Vaping isn’t just about the puff—it’s about the journey. Treat your gadget right, and it’ll serve you well.
Store it upright, like a soldier on duty.
Choose the right potion—don’t force thick oils into a device meant for something lighter.
Avoid Frankenstein moments: tampering or attempting to reuse these gadgets rarely ends well.
A Personal Note on Empty Vape Disposables
The first time I tried an empty vape disposable, it felt like finding a cheat code for life. I’d just discovered a hibiscus-flavored e-liquid that begged to be savored. The device was effortless, unassuming, and somehow perfect. And you know what? It didn’t make me feel like a techie—just someone who wanted to enjoy something simple and sublime.
So here’s my advice: dive into the world of empty vape disposables with curiosity. Tinker, explore, maybe even make a mistake or two. You might just find your next favorite companion.
These little marvels, though simple in design, bring a world of possibilities to the table. So, what will you fill yours with? Aromatic vanilla? Zesty mango? Something daring and experimental? Whatever your choice, the world of empty vape disposables is waiting for you—quietly, patiently, and just a little bit mischievously.

"Unlocking Wisdom, Guiding Paths: Embrace the Mystical Power of Tarot"
Tumblr media
Introduction:
Tarot card reading is a fascinating and centuries-old practice that allows individuals to gain insights, guidance, and self-reflection through the interpretation of symbolic cards. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, this step-by-step guide will help you embark on your tarot journey and develop your skills in conducting meaningful readings. Get ready to explore the enchanting world of tarot and unlock the secrets of the cards.
Step 1: Choosing the Right Tarot Deck
Start by selecting a tarot deck that resonates with you. There are various decks available, each with its own unique artwork and symbolism. Take your time to explore different decks and choose the one that appeals to your intuition and personal connection.
Step 2: Familiarize Yourself with the Cards
Begin by familiarizing yourself with the tarot cards in your chosen deck. Take each card, study its imagery, and understand its meaning. Pay attention to the symbolism, colours, and numbers associated with each card. Start with the Major Arcana, which represents significant life events, and then move on to the Minor Arcana, which reflects day-to-day experiences.
Step 3: Learn the Tarot Spreads
The way the cards are arranged during a reading is known as a tarot spread.
Start with simple spreads like the three-card spread or the Celtic Cross spread. Each spread has a different purpose and provides insights into various aspects of life. Practice laying out the cards and interpreting their positions within the spread.
Step 4: Clear Your Mind and Set the Intention
Before conducting a reading, take a moment to clear your mind and set a clear intention. Focus on the purpose of the reading and the questions or areas of your life you seek guidance on. Centre yourself and create a sacred space for the reading, free from distractions.
Step 5: Shuffle and Draw the Cards
Hold the deck in your hands and shuffle the cards while concentrating on your question or intention. When you feel ready, stop shuffling and begin drawing the cards. You can either fan out the deck and choose the cards intuitively or draw them one by one from the top.
Step 6: Interpret the Cards
The cards should be arranged in the desired tarot spread.
Start interpreting each card individually, considering its position in the spread, its symbolism, and the intuitive impressions you receive. Look for patterns, connections, and the overall story that emerges from the cards.
Step 7: Trust Your Intuition
As you interpret the cards, trust your intuition and the messages that come through. Pay attention to any gut feelings, emotions, or thoughts that arise during the reading. Your intuition will guide you in deciphering the cards' meanings and applying them to the situation at hand.
Step 8: Consider Card Reversals (Optional)
In tarot readings, cards can be drawn upright or reversed. Reversed cards can add an additional layer of meaning or indicate blockages and challenges. If you choose to include reversals in your readings, take note of the orientation of each card and interpret them accordingly.
Step 9: Reflect and Take Action
After completing the reading, take time to reflect on the insights and guidance received. Consider how the messages from the cards relate to your current situation and what actions you can take to navigate challenges or embrace opportunities. Use reading as a tool for personal growth and self-reflection.
Step 10: Practice and Continuous Learning
Tarot card reading is an ongoing learning process. Practice regularly to refine your skills and deepen your connection with the cards. Explore different spreads, seek guidance from experienced readers, and delve into tarot books and online resources to expand your knowledge and understanding.
Step 11: Respect Confidentiality and Boundaries
As a tarot card reader, it is important to respect confidentiality and maintain boundaries. Create a safe and non-judgmental space for your clients, ensuring their privacy and confidentiality. Obtain consent before conducting a reading and communicate any limitations or areas you prefer not to explore.
Step 12: Record and Reflect on Readings
Keep a journal or record of your tarot readings. Document the cards drawn, the spread used, and your interpretations. Reflect on the accuracy of your readings over time and identify any patterns or areas for improvement. This practice will help you track your progress and enhance your skills as a reader.
Step 13: Seek Guidance and Mentorship
Consider seeking guidance and mentorship from experienced tarot readers or joining tarot communities. Engage in discussions, ask questions, and learn from the insights and experiences of others. Having a supportive network can help you grow as a reader and provide valuable perspectives.
Step 14: Ethical Considerations
Maintain a high level of ethics in your tarot practice. Respect the free will and autonomy of your clients, offering guidance without imposing your own opinions or judgments. Avoid making predictions about specific outcomes or providing medical, legal, or financial advice. Remember, tarot is a tool for personal exploration and self-empowerment.
Step 15: Embrace Your Intuition and Integrate Your Unique Style
As you gain confidence in your tarot readings, embrace your intuition and develop your unique style. Trust your instincts and allow your intuition to guide you in interpreting the cards. Experiment with different reading techniques, incorporate additional divination tools if desired, and infuse your personal energy into your readings.
Tumblr media
Conclusion:
Tarot card reading is a captivating and introspective practice that can provide valuable insights and guidance. By following this step-by-step guide, you can embark on your tarot journey with confidence. Remember to choose a deck that resonates with you, learn the meanings of the cards, practice different spreads, trust your intuition, and always maintain ethical considerations. With time, dedication, and continuous learning, you can develop your skills as a tarot reader and unlock the wisdom and guidance that the cards have to offer. Enjoy the journey of self-discovery and empowerment that tarot brings.

Sapphic September
A colleague pointed out to me that it was #sapphicseptember, and while I’m not always one to jump on literary trends, I like the idea of this one. I firmly believe there’s a double standard in popular media that prioritizes m/m relationships, and that they’re shown as much more acceptable and family friendly, while w/w relationships are still somewhat hidden and/or fetishized.
So let’s fix that a little, shall we? Here are a few great reads that I’ve loved, some recent and some not, that feature wlw relationships at the front and centre of the story, to help you fill out your #sappicSeptember (or any other time of year, really) reading bingo card! If you’ve got more, reblog and add; wouldn’t we love to see a great reading list get traction?
Tumblr media
THE MIDNIGHT LIE by Marie Rutkoski (YA, Fantasy, Magic): Lush, beautiful prose and enchantment. Nirrim is an orphan who makes a risky deal with the flirtatious and mysterious Sid. Together, they embark on an adventure through the luscious and prohibited world of the High-Kith, in order to solve the mystery of Ethin’s past. Lots of themes about facing your past and who you really are. Some deliciously steamy moments, and heartfelt ones, too.
Tumblr media
ONE LAST STOP by Casey McQuiston (Adult, Time Travel, Contemporary): Definite Millennial vibes, and lots of found family as August, a young woman in her mid-twenties, moves to NYC and meets the charming and bold Jane on the subway. Everything about Jane seems perfect, but as sparks fly, they discover that Jane isn’t able to leave the Q Train - in fact, she hasn’t left it since the 70s. Fun and cute, and the romance is pure sexy, heart-rushing, sparkling exhilaration.
Tumblr media
A MASTER OF DJINN by P. Djèlí Clark | (Adult, Fantasy, Steampunk, Mystery, Historical Fiction): Cairo, 1912. Fatma is one of the Ministry’s only female agents. She’s independent and tough, so it’s no surprise when she’s called to the city’s strangest case: a secret brotherhood is murdered by a mysterious man calling himself the dangerous and magical al-Jahiz, returned from the dead. Fatma and her clever girlfriend Siti must get to the bottom of the matter, and see if the imposter really is who he claims to be, before it’s too late.
Tumblr media
THE PULL OF THE STARS by Emma Donoghue | (Adult, Historical Fiction, Nurses): Spend three days in a Dublin Maternity ward with the tough and compassionate Nurse Julia Power. Up to her elbows in life and death, she’s fighting alongside the women who are her patients, and the Great Flu of 1918 means that the hospital is overwhelmingly short-staffed. Assigned to Nurse Power is the young, bright, Bridie Sweeney, and though the pair is at odds at first, the next few days’ battles will bring them closer than they imagined. Tightly written, heart-in-your-throat atmosphere, and be prepared for intense emotion.
Tumblr media
UPRIGHT WOMEN WANTED by Sarah Gailey | (Adult, Speculative Fiction, Dystopian, Western): A quick, feisty and vibrant take on the Western. Esther is escaping the conventional life of marriage and expectations that her family wants for her. She stows herself away in the book wagon of the Librarians; a guerilla group of badass cowgirls fighting back against the corrupt government and distributing illegal materials and hope. Fresh and fun and packs a hell of a punch.
Tumblr media
A LESSON IN VENGEANCE by Victoria Lee | (YA, Dark Academia, Mystery, Paranormal): Felicity and new girl Ellis are students at Dalloway School, and team up to investigate the mysterious deaths of five previous students, rumoured to be witches. Nice and haunted, great for back-to-school vibes, and, heads up, has quite a spicy scene.
Tumblr media
LAST NIGHT AT THE TELEGRAPH CLUB by Malinda Lo | (YA, Historical Fiction, San Francisco Chinatown): During the 1950s, the Red Scare was in full force, and Lily Hu and Kathleen Miller are two young women who are facing the loss of everything to keep their love. Immersive and slow, but beautifully worth it. Makes you wonder when lesbian bars will see the light of day again.
Tumblr media
WHY BE HAPPY WHEN YOU COULD BE NORMAL? by Jeanette Winterson | (Non-fiction, memoir): I don’t read a ton of memoirs, but if you’ve never read Winterson you’re in for the ultimate treat. This is a beautiful story of an author’s life (Winterson came out as a lesbian when she was 16), but also, you’ll be wanting to highlight just about every line in it; her writing is gorgeous. (My own copy is full of highlights and notes, and is actually currently on loan to a friend, which is why I don’t have a pic of it!)
Tumblr media
THE MOON IS ALWAYS FEMALE by Marge Piercy | (Poetry): I know that Saphho is the obvious choice, but we already know her, so let’s come up with something a bit different. This is a small collection, and I’m not super into poetry but since the pandemic has messed with my focus, I’ve discovered a lot more of it. Piercy’s style is stunning; sharp and deep and lush, all at once. There are some beautiful hard-hitters, and “Limited but Fertile Possibilities are Offered by This Brochure” reads like a heart-pounding, wlw, rally cry.

Word Count: 3088
For: covers the monster square for @adarafaelbarba 's moodboard fall bingo
TW: violence and accidental death via a nightmare/flashback sequence, brief mentions of mental, emotion, and physical abuse, PTSD, and covering up a crime scene
Author's Notes: The Mayans Werewolf AU that no one asked for, but i wrote it anyway. It starts out dark, but ends with fluff, I promise. This is my first time writing for Bishop, so please go easy on me... a big thank you to @itsjustmyfantasyroom for letting me run this idea by her and reassuring me that it wasn't crazy, and for encouraging me to write it.

He stormed into your living room, rage storming in his eyes. His aura was a swirling void of red and black. He shouldn’t have been able to break the locks on your front door, he shouldn’t have been able to walk right through your magical wards, but here he was. You straightened your posture and stood your ground, determined to not let him see how terrified you were.
“How did you get in here?”
“Really?” He pulled a glowing amulet from out of his shirt. “Not that hard when you have a little help. Benefits of having hunters for friends.”
Your eyes went wide as you realized what you were looking at. It was an enchanted amulet, one strong enough to get through your warding. You could only hope that it wasn’t strong enough to dampen your powers.
“Yeah, that’s right,” he smirked. “I know what you are. Makes me a wonder what else you haven’t been telling me.”
“Alex, get out! I don’t want to hurt you, but I will if I have to.”
“You little bitch!” he spat back. “You think you can just break up me? You think you can just walk away?
“I can and I did. We’re done, Alex, it’s over. You don’t get to hurt me anymore. It’s not my fault that your fragile, insecure male ego can’t take a fucking hint.”
“Bitch, I’ll fucking hurt you whenever I fucking want to! And I don’t see your little biker friends here to protect you.…”
Then he charged, and suddenly you were on the ground with his hands around your throat.
“Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live!”
You could feel the murderous intent radiating off him, and put your hands on his chest, trying to push him off you, but then you felt the release of kinetic energy through your palms, and Alex was flying across the room. He hit the wall, and you prayed to whatever goddess was listening that the sickening crack you heard was just the drywall breaking behind him. But then his eyes rolled back in his head, and his head lolled to one side, at what could only be described as an “unhealthy looking” angle. His lower body twitched a few times before going limp. He hung there for a moment, suspended in the air, pinned to the wall by your invisible force. Still shaking in terror, you finally lowered your hands, and Alex’s lifeless body fell to the ground with a thud.
*********************
“No!” you cried out, sitting bolt upright on your couch. You were covered in a cold sweat and your whole body was shaking. Your lungs gasped for air and your eyes darted around the room, searching for Alex, but he wasn’t there. You weren’t even in your old house anymore. You held your hand in your hands and took deep breaths. You were in your apartment, in Santo Padre, Alex was dead, and you were safe. The Saturday afternoon sun streamed in through the window, and the TV was still on, a marathon of Guy’s Grocery Games playing at a low volume.
“I must have fallen asleep,” you said softly to yourself, “it was only a nightmare.”
You grabbed your phone off the coffee table and checked the time. It was only 3:30, plenty of time to shower and freshen up before Bishop would pick you up at 6. You stood, and after checking your locks and wards, made your way to the bathroom.
***********************
Despite your best efforts to push them down, the memories of what happened next came flooding back as you stood under the warm shower spray. You had been in shock, understandably so, but you were now exposed as a witch, and had to protect yourself. The logical side of your brain kicked in and you got to work. After verifying that Alex was dead, you had used your telekinetic abilities to rip the amulet off his neck. A quick examination verified that it had only been enchanted enough to allow Alex to breach your magical wards without getting zapped, but not enough to block your own powers. The enchantment was also crude and amateurish, probably done in haste by someone with limited knowledge of witchcraft. He had mentioned having hunters for friends, and you cursed yourself for not sensing that sooner. He hadn’t been one himself. You would have read that in his aura the moment you met him, but you also hadn’t sensed his dark side. The mentally and emotionally abusive and manipulative side, the one that turned violent during an argument when you had tried to call him out on his bullshit and break up with him the first time. You had ended up in the hospital, and when you confronted him the second time, you had friends with you to back you up. And after destroying the amulet, those were the friends you called on for help with your predicament.
The Blood Moon Motorcycle Club was a found family werewolf pack, led by Jack Reynard, a fearsome and intimidating Alpha. But Jack was fiercely protective of his friends and allies and didn’t hesitate to show up with four of his most trusted lieutenants when you called and tearfully explained your situation. They got to work cleaning up the scene and going through Alex’s phone and wallet. They found a business card for an elite and dangerous organization of hunters, and the contact’s name and number on the card matched up with one of the contacts in Alex’s phone. Jack told you to start packing your bags and to make sure that you included any magical artifacts that you had. You would spend the night at their clubhouse under round-the-clock security, and in the morning, they would get you out of town. Anything that couldn’t be packed that night would be shipped to you once you were settled elsewhere. They would dispose of the body; it wasn’t the first time they’d had to do so.
Jack had called Bishop Losa, president of the Mayans Motorcycle Club in Santo Padre, California. Jack and Bishop had served together in the Marines in their younger days, and the Mayans and the Blood Moons were allies as a result of that friendship. The Mayans were another found family werewolf pack and protected Santo Padre alongside the Galindo Pack. The town was a safe haven for all supernatural beings and the humans who lived there were none the wiser.
And now you had been here for six months. You worked in a bookshop owned by another a witch, Matilda, and lived in the apartment above it. In addition to the books, you also sold your homemade herbal teas and did Tarot card readings in the shop. 2-3 times a week you would bake cookies and muffins and sell those in the shop. Your teas were so popular that you now did tea making demonstrations on Saturday mornings. You were thriving but were still plagued by nightmares and PTSD and attended therapy once a week to help you work through your struggles.
And then there was Bishop. At first, the Mayan president and Alpha had been your friend and protector. You had been too traumatized to even think about pursuing a relationship, and so you both denied the unquestionable and inexplicable attraction. The more you got to know each other, the more you were drawn to each other. Two months ago, he finally made a move while the two of you had been outside getting some air at a party at the Mayans clubhouse, asking if he could kiss you. You’d been a couple ever since.
*********************
You had just finished lacing up your boots when you heard the sound of a familiar motorcycle pull up to your building. You ran to the window and looked down to the street. You saw Bishop getting off his bike and removing his helmet. You exited your apartment and ran down the stairs, meeting him at the entrance at the side of the building. You threw your arms around his neck and kissed his lips. His arms encircled your waist and pulled you close.
“Hola Querida, you look beautiful.”
“Thanks, you’re not too bad, yourself, handsome.”
That got a chuckle from the Alpha. He removed one of his arms from around your back, revealing the bouquet of roses in his hand. “These are for you.”
“Bish, they’re gorgeous, thank you. You shouldn’t have.”
“And pass up the opportunity to surprise you? Not a chance.”
“Come on up. I’ll put these in water, grab a few things, then I’ll be ready to go.”
Bishop nodded and held onto your hand as he followed you up the stairs.
************************
You held onto Bishop as the two of you went speeding down the back roads, away from Santo Padre. You loved dates like this: just you and Bishop on the bike, heading somewhere unknown, away from all the stress and bullshit of the day-to-day. His torso felt warm, sturdy, and safe. You could feel the vibrations from bike rattling through your body as you watched the scenery fly by. You’d been on the road for at least half an hour now.
“Almost there, Querida,” Bishop called back. “You’re gonna love this spot, I promise.”
After a few more minutes he pulled off the road and the motorcycle slowed to a stop. Bishop turned off the engine and stored the keys in his pocket. You both got off and removed your helmets. You looked around at the small, wooded area and smiled, breathing in the fresh air.
“This is nice, babe.”
“Oh, this isn’t the spot, “he told you, unlatching the soft fleece blanket and cooler from the back of his bike. He handed you the blanket. He took the cooler in one hand and grabbed your free hand with his other, interlacing his fingers with yours. “It’s this way.”
You walked for a few minutes down a short path before finally arriving at a grassy clearing. The view was breathtaking. You could see everything from your elevated perched; Santo Padre, the valley, green leafy trees swaying in the breeze, fields of wildflowers. A sense of calm settled over you that you hadn’t felt in months. You didn’t jump when Bishop came up behind you and slid his arms around your mid-section, instead relaxing into his touch and leaning against his sturdy frame. Bishop softly kissed your shoulder.
“You okay, baby?”
“Yeah,” you sighed, “this is perfect, this place in perfect. The energy here is so peaceful, and so alive. I love it.”
“I’m glad. I was thinking we could eat dinner, watch the sunset? And wait until the stars come out…You can show me all the constellations?”
You turned and slid your arms around his neck, resting your forehead against his.
“You would have thought that you were such a romantic?”
“Just don’t tell anyone, okay? Gotta maintain my tough guy image, you know?”
“Mmm…your secret is safe with me.” You pecked his lips once, twice, three times, each kiss lasting a bit longer than the rest. When you finally pulled your head away you noticed that the blanket was laid out on the ground with cooler sitting on top.
“Come on,” said Bishop, directing you over to it. You both sat down, and Bishop opened the cooler and started setting out its contents: sandwiches from the local deli, fresh strawberries from the farmer’s market, giant cupcakes from the gourmet bakery, a bottle of beer for each of you, and bottled water. He popped the caps off the beer bottles and handed you one. “Cheers.”
The two of you sat and ate, completely at ease with each other, and the conversation flowed easily. Bishop told you about the day’s antics down at the scrapyard, and you told him about the business plan you and Matilda were working on to expand the bookshop into the empty café next door.
“The theory is, that having a space to sell food and drinks will drum up more business. I can sell my tea and baked goods and do my demonstrations there. We would obviously need to hire some extra people to help, but I think we can make it work. We can’t tear down the wall between the buildings and expand without the proper permits.”
“I’m sure the town will approve whatever permits you need. They’re not going to say to ‘no’ to something that will bring more business into Santo Padre.”
“Wow, you weren’t kidding about the sunsets,” you said, gazing at the red, orange, and purple hues of the evening sky. “How did you find this place?”
Bishop laid down on the blanket and you stretched out next him, placing your head on his chest.
“Me and the guys had just come back from a run,” he began, “Things didn’t go so well, and I was pissed, needed to blow off some steam so I just rode around for a while. Next thing I knew, I was here. I shifted, ran around for a while until my head was clear. I come back whenever I need to get away from everything.”
You tilted your head up to meet his gaze. “Thank you for bringing me here. I needed this.”
Bishop caressed your cheek with his fingers. “You’re welcome, Querida. I’ll bring you up here whenever you want.”
“Bish, can I ask you a personal question?”
“Of course, Querida, you can ask me anything,” he replied with a chuckle.
“Can I see you in your wolf form sometime? There’s no pressure, only if you want to…”
Bishop mulled the question over in his head. You had caught him off guard with the query. None of the women he’d ever been with had asked to see his wolf form, not even his ex-wife. These days, he only shifted when it was absolutely necessary. There were advantages to being an older and more experienced wolf. He could shift at will and didn’t have to worry about losing control. But what if you didn’t like what you saw? What if he scared you away? He’d never forgive himself if that happened. Your soft, sweet voice interrupted his thoughts.
“Bish, I’m sorry, forget I said anything- “
“No, it’s okay,” he kissed your forehead, “I just wasn’t expecting that question. I’ll do it if you want me to, but just be prepared, okay? I promise I won’t hurt you, but it might not be what you’re expecting.”
“I trust you completely, and I promise, I won’t be scared.” You looked at his aura and saw the hesitancy there. He was scared. “You’re not going to lose me.”
He cupped your face with his hand and his lips found purchase with yours. He had a way of kissing you that made your mind go blank and get lost in the moment, and you loved every minute of it. You kissed him back with equal fervor, hoping that somehow you were able to convey the trust and faith you had in him. The smile on his face when you broke away seemed to indicate that you’d been successful.
Bishop rose and walked a few feet away.
“What are you doing?” you asked, confused by his actions.
“Shifting is a lot easier without clothes on,” he replied with a wink, beginning to undress.
“I’ll close my eyes and give you some privacy then,” you giggled, shutting your eyes, but occasionally cracking one open to steal glimpses of his increasingly naked form; and damn if you didn’t like what you saw!
Bishop finished disrobing and crouched down on the soft grass. He breathed deeply and cleared his mind, focusing his intention. He felt his muscle start to ripple and his joints and bones shift. It didn’t hurt at his age; it was just slightly uncomfortable. All his senses sharpened. Body hair became fur, his hands and feet morphed into oversize paws with razor sharp claws. Even his teeth changed shaped, becoming longer and more pointed. A few moments later, he stretched and shook out his fur. He looked over towards you, still sitting there with your eyes closed, and cautiously padded toward you.
************************
You could hear the footfalls of his paws, and then felt his large wet nose nudging your arm. You opened your eyes and saw a massive wolf standing before you. His fur was brown and black, with specks of gray in various places. His legs were strong, and his paws appeared large enough to take out a person with one blow. But his eyes, his eyes were gentle, and you would know them anywhere.
“Oh, Bishop, you’re beautiful!”
He sat and cocked his head to one side, appearing confused.
“Yes, you heard me correctly. May I?” You held out your arms to him. Bishop bowed his head and leaned forward, allowing you to embrace him and bury your face in his fur. “Your fur is so soft!”
He put his head on your shoulder and let out a contented groan when your fingers began to massage the spot right between his ears. You giggled at that. “I take it you like that, huh?” Bishop lifted his head and licked your face in response, making you laugh even harder. You massaged his head for a little while longer before resting your forehead against his. “Thank you for letting me see you like this. I love you, Bishop.”
There was suddenly a very naked, human man in your arms. Bishop’s hands cupped your face, his eyes scanning it for any indication that he might have misheard you.
“Bish- “
“Say that again, Querida.”
“I said, I love you, Obispo Losa.”
Bishop pulled you into his lap and pressed his lips to yours, kissing you with more intensity and tenderness than he ever had before. Any doubts that you may have had about him not feeling the same quickly melted away. It went on for what felt like forever before the two of you had to pull away and come up for air.
“I love you, too, mi reina.”
You held onto one another like that for while before Bishop got dressed and rejoined you on the blanket. You spent the rest of the evening wrapped in each other’s arms and gazing at the night sky. And when a shooting star passed overhead, you made a wish that you could stay this way forever. No more looking over your shoulder, no more nightmares; just you and Bishop, ready to take on whatever the future might hold.

Imagine getting trapped in a Doctor Sexy episode with the Winchesters...
“Okay, there are far too many hot doctors and nurses in this building.” You exclaimed looking around. “This can’t be normal.”
Sam’s mouth hung open as he cast his eyes around the room. “It’s really not.”
Dean quickly explained that you were all in a television show but you hardly listened to him as one, very attractive, surgeon caught your glance and grinned as he walked by.
You brought your hand up to your ear with a smirk, “Call me.” you winked.
Once the man was out of sight, Dean yanked on your arm lightly. “Not him. That’s Doctor ‘Heartbreaker’. He’s a playboy who breaks the heart of almost every nurse in here.” He warned.
You squinted at him suspiciously – there was an awful lot of specific detail that the man was spewing. “I thought you said that you only watched an episode?”
Dean looked away and cleared his throat. “He was in it.” he replied quickly.
Rolling your eyes at him, the three of you were approached by Dr Ellen Piccolo where she tried to slap Sam within five-seconds of a conversation. Huffing a dramatic reply, the woman turned on her heel and left.
You couldn’t help but snicker at the interaction and Sam pinned you under his ‘not amused’ glare which made you focus back on the odd situation that you had been thrown into.
That’s when the ‘playboy’ surgeon sauntered over with eyes only for you.
“Doctor.” You greeted and found yourself enchanted by the man’s smile. He was well-dressed, hair short, some light stubble - honestly, he didn’t seem as bad as Dean was making it out to be.
“Hey, this might be a bit forward but I wondered if you’d like to grab coffee?” He asked, reaching out to take your hand.
You were about to reply with your own hand extending to take the one on offer when Dean grabbed your arm and pushed you aside (straight into Sam who fumbled to keep you upright) to confront the character.
“Oh, stop playing the innocent card. Everyone knows that it starts with coffee and ends messy.” He snapped. “Do your job, not the staff.”
Taken back with Dean’s outburst, the surgeon cast a brief glance at you before tucking tail and bolting down the hall.
There was a grin on Dean’s face and he turned to you and Sam. “I can’t believe I told him off.” he chuckled, clearly pleased with himself. “Me.”

METALLICA MERCURY MARFIM MAGNUS
Magnus Houdini, Prince of Edentaro.
Edentaro is gifted with powerful creators and spellcasters in a dimension beyond, who can use the life-force "Qi" that are everything that exists as one, to cast spells. Their philosophy of life persists in the knowledge that the physical realm is created by your own thinking and imagination. And there's only you. The Realm of the Dreams, using the polarity of both energies maintains the movement. Their belief grows stronger that even if they got hold of their own lives. Too much effort in any of these forces cannot make the flow of the Wholeness balanced.
'Inspired on the planet Ephedia in Lolirock as well as his brooch, a magical item and with it he's able to transform. The magic circle appears every time he uses magic from his Realm.
Magnus' magic consists of the "Truth". Nothing you could touch or smell, let's say, without the feeling of something really deep. His realm was always so peaceful, brilliant and with much of the influence of the Eastern cultural traditions. As much as he loves the gentle feeling of seeing the little things with loving eyes. He wanted passion and a little more of color, crystals and other physical sensations. Explore what the earthly calls to be a practice that would enchant his spells. Witchcraft. With a bold move, he opened a fend envisioning his future and with that he got the attention of the Goddess of the Night. She explained to him that as beautiful as it is. The middle is the goal but most of the cases, not reached. "The edges are everything I ever wanted."   He found princesses, fairies and other creatures with tantalizing beauty like true blood monsters and demons. Falling in love with clothes and the many steps to follow while creating potions or spells, fell in love with the art of being charmed or charming others with those so-called "magic tricks". The more he learned about this art it helped him to make the "fall" happen, inverting his upright pentagram and his magic now mirrors the Witches he admires.   And through him it seems that the Goddess is channeled.
'The wand is inspired by Star vs The Forces of Evil as well as he having the inverted pentagram motif in his checks.
'Now, the fairy wings are something inspired by Winx. He kind of has different stages of magic he reached, the one he was taught in Edentaro and the one given to him by the Goddess of the Night. Hecate. So, he's on both practicing Witchcraft and owning fairy wings.

Strong as Whisky Chapter 1: All That Glitters Is Not Gold
Two hours passed before Alysana awoke, a lightweight purple fabric draped over her small body like a blanket. Blinking her teal eyes open, she noticed through a small window that the sun had begun its descent into the horizon. In her sleep-muddled mind she did not realize that she had been moved into a building, but when after a few moments she did she bolted upright into a sitting position, the fabric falling from her shoulders and gathering around her hold. It was then that she realized she was no longer wearing the clothing she had passed out in.
"Oh!" She scrambled to cover herself, holding the fabric over her chest as her eyes frantically darted around.
The room she found herself in was immaculate, and quite colorful even in the dimming light of the setting sun. Her lips parted, in awe of the decoration, which seemed too extravagant to have been constructed by anyone from the village. Was this the temple? A quiet slithering noise drew Alysana's gaze to one corner of the room, and what she saw stole the breath from her lungs.
A white snake's coils with patches of black-and-brown, thick as a large elm, emitting an inviting fragrance--in which she could detect notes of patchouli and sandalwood. It did not stir fear inside her, nor relaxation, but she did not startle upon seeing what appeared to be the upper body of a man emerge from the coils. This humanoid portion was just as, if not more, enchanting than the scales.
"Oh, good evening," the voice was deep, powerful, and yet gentle all the same. "How do you feel? Did you s~leep well?"
It took Alys a moment to respond, absolutely captivated by the creature's warm brown eyes, which swirled with concern.
"I feel fine," she said. "What is this place?"
"This~ is my temple, little human. My name is Karthikeyan. What's~ yours?"
"Alysana. Are you... Are you the deity who lives in the middle of the forest?"
His smile was gentle. "I am. It's~ nice to meet you."
   Oh. Wait.
"What...happened to the garments I had been wearing?" she asked.
"Ah, well," his expression turned bashful, "when I carried you to this~ place, they got s~oiled during the journey. S~o, I washed them. They are drying on a tree branch right now. I promis~e you, I did not stare, but I couldn't leave you in thos~e dirty clothes."
She blinked. "Then you have my thanks. But, you are not at all what I expected."
   "What were you ex~pecting?"
"Many from the village shared legends of a terrifying war god who demands human sacrifice in return for protecting the village from any and all that seek to destroy it."
The gorgeous creature frowned, melancholy taking over his expression.
"So they are s~cared of me," he sighed, his endlessly brown eyes falling to the marbled floor. "I may be the god of this fores~t, but I'm not fond of humans~ being sacrificed to me. Es~pecially those who are pure of heart, like yours~elf."
   "Pure of heart?" Alysana echoed.
"Yes~. I can sense that you have no blood on your hands~, that you do not s~eek the torment of other living beings. You may be curious~, but your remedies don't kill or injure. At leas~t, not on purpose."
She gaped, in total awe for several minutes. When she found her voice, it came out louder than she'd meant it to be.
"What intuition! You could tell all that from only a short conversation?"
"Not quite," Karthikeyan smiled a bit brighter. "I can s~ense your altruism, and I have picked up the lightes~t hint of what some might call...magickal herbs~. You are an alchemist, yes~?"
"I am," the human blinked. "That is incredible! I knew the gods were powerful, but this... far exceeds any expectations I may have had! Oh, but, I do have one question."
   "What is it, Alys~ana?"
"I do not ask this to be rude, but...what exactly are you?"
His deep chuckle reverberated through her ears and settled a warmth into her chest.
"This~ form of mine doesn't technically have a name, but your kind has~ taken to calling it naga, which means s~erpent. Now, would you like to continue this~ talk elsewhere? The cave which holds~ my lair promises...heightened s~ecurity, as it is more difficult to reach."
"This temple is not your home?"
The naga shook his head. "It's~ not. I only brought you here so I could tend to your wounds~ and wash your clothes. S~peaking of, they should be dry now."
Alys bit her lip, her brows furrowing as she contemplated what it might mean to go to the lair of a god. From how he spoke she had his permission, but was it truly alright? After all, all she had for modesty at the moment was the fabric she still held over her chest. She was human too, so what if something happened to her once she stepped inside?
And yet she couldn't deny that he was being very kind to her after he found her passed out in his forest. He had even cleaned and bandaged her feet! The rational part of her mind screamed for her to gather her clothes and leave, but her emotions knew she had nowhere else to go. She wouldn't be welcome in the village, since they believed her to be a malicious witch, and the nearest city was over twenty miles away...
Karthikeyan tilted his head, concern and curiosity twisting together in his chest as he watched the little human's thoughts dance across her face. What was troubling her so? Had she been sent to him with no hopes of returning to her home? He could sense that she wasn't afraid of him, yet still her posture and the light trembling of her small form told him something was wrong. On instinct, he began letting out more of his scent in an attempt to calm her even a little, and was delighted when her stiff shoulders relaxed some.
"Little human," he murmured, "is~ everything alright?"
Alysana shook her head, shifting her arms to hug herself tight, and sniffled as the weight of her thoughts began to cloud her mind. The village wouldn't take her back, all because she mixed one wrong herb into a cup of tea. She had no home to return to, no family to be welcomed back into. She had lost both her parents to a fire that burned down her childhood home, then was sent to the village she'd just been cast out of to live with her uncle. He was the one who had started the rumor that caused everyone to be wary of her in the first place, the desertion only furthered by his death three years back. It was as if they had been actively looking for a reason to make her the next "sacrifice," and there was nothing she could do about it.
She didn't realize Karthikeyan had moved until his arms were wrapping around her in a comforting manner, guiding her face to nuzzle into his chest. He had shifted as well, into a height more befitting a human, though he was still at least a solid foot taller than she even with the rest of his tail coiling behind him.
With a shaky gasp, Alys grabbed at his back and fully buried her face into his skin, which was smooth and cool to the touch. His warm scent calmed her only slightly, but she started to sob freely when his fingers carded through her hair, rubbing circles into her back with his other hand.
How long had it been since someone had held her like this? She didn't know, but she was more than glad to be this close to someone again. She had just met this kind naga deity less than an hour ago, but already she felt as close to him as she had once been with her parents. Was it because he was a god? She didn't know, didn't care, but he was the only comfort she had anymore.
She held him tighter, her cries having been reduced to the occasional sniffle or shaky gasp. Then she noticed he has taken to whispering soothingly into her ear in a language she did not understand. Her heart swelled when he didn't let go, even when she only lightly trembled in his arms. He only released her once she started loosening her own grip, but his hands never left her pale form.
Karthikeyan touched her back, her arms, her shoulders, squeezing gently but never lingering too long until he reached her face, cupping her cheeks and pulling her close again so he could press a soft kiss to the top of her head. A startled giggle left her, dissolving into genuine mirth as she moved to wipe her eyes. But he stopped her by looping his fingers around her wrists, making her look up at him with her red-rimmed pools of now-sparkling teal.
"You've been through enough for one day," he whispered. "Let me dry your tears~, and then we can go to my den s~o you can eat something. How does~ that sound, Alys~ana?"
The short woman nodded, her cheeks warming even more when the loud groaning of her empty stomach filled the room. The naga chucked, bending to retrieve the discarded purple fabric so he could pat at Alys's eyes and face, then wrap her in it as he grew to prepare to leave the temple.
He made sure to take her dry clothes from the nearby tree so no passersby would get some wrong idea.

A/N: Once again Karthikeyan is not my creation, but belongs to the insanely talented @vassalex ! When the naga speaks, he often elongates his 's' sounds. I have denoted this with the '~' symbol as you have seen.
The image shown above is Karthikeyan himself, created by vassalex. Check him out if you'd like, since this story includes my own characterization of the naga deity!

a real witch reviews the arcana (aka that phone game based on tarot cards that keeps showing up on your explore page)
Tumblr media
I’ve been seeing The Arcana all over Tumblr and Instagram for several months now, and since I am a Genuine Real Life Witch™️ and have been reading tarot for several years now, I thought it would be fun to play the game and review it both from a gamer perspective and a witch/tarot reader perspective.
Spoiler: I really, really like it.
Please note that I have done virtually no research into the developer or development history of this game. This review is based purely on my experience from my playthroughs.
So what is The Arcana?
The Arcana is a fantasy/romance visual novel created by Nix Hydra Games. A visual novel is an interactive, text-based story with static visuals, so it’s almost more like an interactive graphic novel than a video game. Honestly, visual novels remind me of those “Choose Your Own Adventure” books that were really popular in the 1980s and 1990s more than anything else.
(Note: I recently learned that a visual novel is NOT the same thing as a dating sim, although the two genres are similar and do sometimes overlap. Dating sims... simulate dating. That’s really all there is to them. Visual novels typically have a more plot-focused story, and may have other stuff going on besides the romance.)
The story of The Arcana follows the player character, a magician’s apprentice living in the fictional city-state of Vesuvia, who is enlisted to track down a suspected murderer. Where the story goes from there depends on which route you choose to play. There are currently six routes, each with a different love interest. Each route has its own unique story, although obviously there are some overlapping elements.
Sam the Gamer’s Review
Like I mentioned, The Arcana is essentially an interactive novel, so I’m reviewing it the way I’d review a book. So, let’s just run down some of the typical book review questions, shall we?
Is the content good? Yes. It has gotta be difficult to juggle six parallel storylines and make all of them equally compelling, but this game pulls it off. There were parts that genuinely had me in suspense, other parts that had me giggling at my phone, and some parts that were (intentionally) frustrating. I’m really impressed with how each route is totally different from the others -- not just in content, but even in tone. For example, Portia’s route comes across as much more lighthearted and fluffy, whereas Julian and Muriel both have a lot of angst in their respective stories. It’s really well done.
Are the characters well-rounded and realistic? Again, yes. Okay, “realistic” may be a bit of a stretch in some cases Vlastomil but all six of the main romanceable characters have fleshed out personalities that feel natural within the story world. The side characters in this game are also really interesting, although I do wish some of them had bigger roles in the story.
What about the technical stuff (dialogue, grammar, etc.)? For the most part, it’s pretty good. The dialogue flows naturally, and different characters have different speaking styles, which is a little thing that makes SUCH a big difference. I noticed a couple of typos, but nothing too crazy.
The gameplay was pretty good. The only real mechanic is choosing one of two or three dialogue options at certain points in the game. There are a couple of places in each route where these choices are timed, but other than that it’s a very stress-free gaming experience.
Another thing that impresses me from both a writing and a gameplay angle is the multiple ending mechanic. Your choices matter in this game. Each of the routes has an “upright” ending and a “reversed” ending. I’m not exactly sure which choices affect the ending you get, but I’ve only managed to get “upright” endings so far, and I didn’t have to do anything special to unlock them.
Sam the Witch/Tarot Reader’s Review
Honestly, I did not expect this game to be as accurate with its depiction of magick and the Tarot as it was.
Each character is based on one of the Major Arcana, and I feel like they did a really good job of matching their personalities to their cards. Nadia is based on the High Priestess so she’s very intuitive and intelligent but tends to be distant and hard to read, Julian is based on the Hanged Man so he feels the need to sacrifice himself for others (with lots of gallows humor along the way), Lucio is based on the Devil so he’s a fucking bitch all about power and excess, etc.
I reeeeaaalllyy like the use of “upright” and “reversed” endings instead of the typical good vs. bad endings -- based on upright vs. reversed meanings of Tarot cards, of course. I also really love that the reversed endings aren’t 100% negative, just like how reversed cards in readings aren’t necessarily negative.
I don’t wanna spoil anything, but I also really like how the upright endings deal with the upright traits of that character’s Major Arcana card, while the reversed endings deal with the reversed traits of that card.
This game also includes some pretty realistic depictions of witchcraft and magick. Obviously because it’s a fantasy world there is fantasy magic involved, but astral travel is a major theme in pretty much every route, and the way it’s depicted in the game is very similar to my real life experiences with it.
There’s one character who is a kitchen witch and makes homemade enchanted food with magickal herbs, which made me feel warm and fuzzy because it reminded me of all the times I’ve used kitchen magick to make charmed food for myself and my loved ones.
Tarot readings are obviously a big deal within the story world, but there’s also a character who uses runestones! Which I think is neat!!
They mention some real-life magickal plants. Myrrh being used for protection comes up a lot, which, in case anyone was curious, is actually one of the common uses for myrrh in spellcraft.
They clearly did their research and honestly I’m thrilled.
Other Cool Stuff About This Game
It’s probably the most queer-inclusive video game I’ve ever played. Right off the bat, you’re given the choice to choose between he/him, she/her, or they/them pronouns for your character. The pronouns you pick do not affect the story in any way.
All six love interests are romanceable no matter what gender you play as. Which means this is canonically a universe in which everyone is queer. Hell yeah.
Two of the six current romanceable characters are women, and one is nonbinary. The routes for these characters are just as well written and romantic, with just as many wink-wink-nudge-nudge innuendos, as the men’s. There are also multiple nonbinary side characters.
Also! Racial and ethnic diversity in the main cast! And the main characters all have different body types, which is another nice touch.
This is nerdy as hell but I love how the different cultures and ethnic groups in the game are based on real-life cultures? It’s just one of those little things that makes my heart happy.
The art style is pretty as fuck.
In conclusion: I feel like this review is overwhelmingly positive but I just genuinely can’t think of any major criticisms of this game. It’s fun, it’s free, there was clearly a lot of thought put into it. I was really pleasantly surprised. Everybody go download it and play it. You’ll have a good time, and afterwards you’ll understand all the memes.
P.S. I know people are gonna ask so: I chose Julian for my first playthrough because he’s tall and goth and has messy hair and that’s honestly all I look for in a man. Now that I’ve played all six routes, Portia’s is probably my favorite because it’s so cute and wholesome and I just really want a soft bookworm girlfriend, please. Lucio’s route is a close second because after seeing him as an antagonist in everyone else’s routes it’s actually really interesting to see his story told from a sympathetic angle! But like I said, I’ve played all six routes.

Ashariani Lavellan as a Companion
hello!! a few of my friends have done this so i’m excited to do this and i think i might try my hand at a da2 version...we’ll see!
Tumblr media
(sorry i have no in-game screenshots i play on console :///)
Name: Ashariani Lavellan (she/her)
Race, Class, & Specialization: Elf / Mage / Knight-Enchanter
Varric’s nickname for them: Glimmer
Default Tarot Card: The Empress (upright)
How they are recruited: Ashariani can be found talking to the druffalo from Where The Druffalo Roam. When approached, she will:
(if Trevelyan) - Step back cautiously, but look on in amazement, introducing herself.
(if Lavellan) - Introduce herself, asking you if you remember her from the clan. You can either say yes, which will allow her to respond with excitement, or no, which will make her smile fade as she shrugs and mumbles, “Figured.”
(if Cadash or Adaar) - Show visible excitement and claim she’s “never met your people before” before panicking and expressing she hopes that doesn’t offend.
She will explain her clan sent her to look for another member who had not returned and either bring them home or report back what happened to them. She tells you she’ll return the druffalo home if you help her find her clan member. If you agree, the cutscene ends and she and the druffalo disappear, Where The Druffalo Roam being replaced by the quest Lost and Found. Following the quest marker, you find her in the hills. When spoken to, a cutscene begins where she expresses she doesn’t feel safe. A battle with a few Templars takes place. After combat is over, another cutscene starts, and this time Ashariani finds her missing clan member. They are badly injured. She will heal them with her magic, and expresses disappointment as they rush off without a word to her. She’ll turn back to you, explaining that as much as she loves them, she feels out of place with her clan. She offers to join the Inquisition, offering Dalish knowledge (if not Lavellan) and friendliness. If you agree, the cutscene ends and you can add her to your party. If disagree, she will become upset and rush away quickly.
Where they are in Haven: She can be found next to Varric. The two of them seem to be in constant conversation. She is normally sitting on the stone wall behind him, but will occasionally get down and walk around, usually to warm her hands in the fire. The initial conversation with her will have her remark on every companion you have so far, focusing heavily on Varric and/or Iron Bull, if you’ve recruited him by then. She will also express her delight to be accepted in the Inquisition and promises she won’t get into too much trouble, then asks you how you’re doing.
Where they are in Skyhold: She can be found by an empty spot near Cassandra. The initial conversation with her will have Cassandra looking up, yelling at her to come down. You can ask Cassandra who she’s talking to, which will make her scoff and begrudgingly admit it’s Ashariani. You then call up to her and wait a few seconds as she climbs back down. She admits with a smile that she likes to climb and Cassandra walks away, throwing her hands in the air. You can then talk to Ashariani about how she likes Skyhold. She’ll say it’s magnificent and that she’s happy you closed the Breach, but will then sober up and ask you how you are. You can:
tell the truth, admitting Haven shook you up
crack a joke, but eventually admit you’re fine/you’re shaken up
lie, telling her not to worry and that you’ll be just fine
ask her if she’s alright
If asked if she’s alright, she’ll be taken aback and confess Haven scared her a lot, gaining you approval. With medium-high approval, at the end of the conversation, she’ll admit she likes that you’re friends. With high enough approval, you can flirt for the first time, and she’ll become flustered before the conversation ends. Neutral-low approval will gain you a “I’m glad you’re okay” with no follow-up.

QUESTS
War Table:
A Very Important Request
(after reaching Skyhold)
Inquisitor,
Scouts desperately need to go to this location I’ve marked on the map. It’s for very important things. Please send them quickly and report back to ONLY ME what they’ve found. Thank you.
--Ashariani
Options:
>Leliana: Maybe it truly is important. I’ll send out a few scouts.
>Josephine: I do not believe Ashariani would waste our time and resources for something frivolous. However, to be on the safe side, I will send ahead to the nobles in the land to send their own scouts, if it pleases you.
>Cullen: What? This sounds like a waste of time, she won’t even specify what she needs them for! Fine. Two guards, but that’s it.
Results:
>Leliana: My scouts found some rare stones and herbs, but nothing more. I wonder if this is what she wanted?
(Ashariani approves, Prophet’s Laurel x4, Royal Elfroot x2, Everite x2)
>Josephine: Perhaps I was incorrect. Nothing but some rare materials. The scouts were sent home with plenty compensation, so at least we have been put in a better light.
(Ashariani approves, Influence x30, Amrita Vein x3, Felandaris x4, Stormheart x2)
>Cullen: We cannot be wasting our resources like this. We acquired some materials along the way.
(Ashariani slightly approves, Ghoul’s Beard x4, Felandaris x4, Silverite x3)
Another Very Important Request
(after A Very Important Request)
Inquisitor,
Sorry to bother you once more. Please send people to Val Royeaux to obtain these materials. They’re for a very important project, I promise. Mae gen ti fy ngair [you have my word].
--Ashariani
(below is a list of materials: ring velvet, silk brocade, dales loden wool, and imperial vestment cotton)
Options:
>Leliana: Again? What could she possibly be making? I can send one or two scouts out to fetch these items.
>Josephine: She is persistent, is she not? A few favors can be exchanged for these materials at no cost to us. It will be done.
>Cullen: (not participating in this mission)
Results:
>Leliana: The materials were easy enough to obtain. Our scouts being spotted in public created quite a buzz.
(Ashariani approves, Influence x50, Ring Velvet x3, Silk Brocade x3, Dales Loden Wool x3, Imperial Vestment Cotton x 3)
>Josephine: The materials have been collected. We’ve created quite a stir with all this running around.
(Ashariani approves, Influence x50, Ring Velvet x3, Silk Brocade x3, Dales Loden Wool x3, Imperial Vestment Cotton x 3)
Companion Quest:
For What?
(after Another Very Important Request)
When spoken to, Ashariani will request you personally go to the map location previously mentioned in A Very Important Request. If denied, she will disapprove and claim she is going there herself and the cutscene will end. If this happens, she will not be available for your party the first time you leave Skyhold after that conversation (she will return after). If accepted, Ashariani is locked into your party and a temporary location appears on your map.
Upon arriving, you are immediately attacked by bandits who had heard the Inquisition had visited. After the battle, Ashariani apologizes and asks you to collect the metals and herbs. Once you find all of the materials, she will exclaim, “Perfect!” which will gain some confused remarks from your companions, which she will not truthfully respond to. You are then allowed to leave the location and it disappears from your map.
After visiting two more locations after that, upon returning to Skyhold, Ashariani will run up and greet you. She will ask if you’ll take her and Iron Bull to slay a high dragon and collect its bone and webbing. You can:
say yes / say yes and flirt (female only)
say yes, but ask her why
say no
express confusion, as she has protested to killing dragons before
Option 1: Causes her great joy, she jumps in the air before giggling and running off, thanking you in the process. The cutscene ends.
Option 2: She’ll get excited, then give you a cryptic answer before thanking you and running off. The Inquisitor says, “She’s determined to keep it a secret, huh?” and the cutscene ends.
Option 3: She will ask you if you’re serious, to which you can reply yes or no. If yes, she will become very upset and mumble something about you disappointing her, and the cutscene ends, gaining you major disapproval. If no, she’ll breathe out a sigh of relief and smile, punching you in the arm for teasing her. She thanks you and the cutscene ends.
Option 4: She’ll shrug, trying to look nonchalant, and say, “someone has changed my mind.” You can press this further by asking who, but she’ll only press her finger to her lips. Options A, B, and C are offered again and the cutscene follows accordingly.
If accepted, she and Iron Bull are locked into your party. You’ll get a few lines of dialogue between Iron Bull and Ashariani as they approach the high dragon, and some after. After collecting the bone and webbing, she thanks you and you gain major approval. After a visit to Skyhold and back, when arriving at Skyhold again, a cutscene immediately starts.
All of your companions (minus Blackwall and Vivienne) and the advisors are found in the Herald’s Rest. Upon your arrival, the tavern bursts into cheers, and Ashariani reveals that she’s been making gifts for everyone, explaining that Vivienne already has hers and she didn’t want to come to the party and doesn’t even mention Blackwall (but implies he didn’t get a gift). Some are clothes, jewelry, weapons, and armor, and each companion has their moment of showing off their gift. Iron Bull makes note to mention that his is a pink shawl with dragon bone accents, and he loves it. Ashariani then tells the Inquisitor she arranged the party and they had a gift of their own, which is a powerful set of armor. You can:
accept the gift and thank Ashariani / accept the gift and flirt with Ashariani (female only)
accept the gift but shut down the party, telling everyone to get back to work
deny the gift and lash out at Ashariani for wasting so much of your time
Option 1: She will give you a hug and the cutscene will end, fading to black as the crowd sings and dances. (note: flirting with her will gain some positive teasing companion comments).
Option 2: You will gain disapproval from every companion present, mostly Ashariani. Iron Bull will try to convince you to change your mind. You can accept or deny. If denied, you will walk out and the cutscene will end with Iron Bull comforting Ashariani. If accepted, Iron Bull punches you in the arm and the mood shifts back to a good one, the cutscene ending with a fade to black as the crowd dances.
Option 3: You will gain major disapproval from every companion present, mostly Ashariani. Iron Bull and Varric will step up to defend her.
Iron Bull: Come on, Boss. She was trying to do something nice for us.
(if in a romance with Bull): Kadan. Is that necessary? She was trying to do something nice for you.
Varric: (sarcastically) Calm down, Inquisitor. We’re all just having a bit of fun during the apocalypse.
(if in a romance with Solas) Solas: (sternly) Vhenan. May I speak to you privately?
You can then choose to apologize or leave the party without a word. Leaving the party will gain more disapproval from Ashariani, enough to completely end the friendship. If apologized to, Ashariani will put on a brave face and accept your apology, but leave the party looking dejected, earning you disapproval. Sera will exclaim, “What’s up [their] arse, huh?” and the cutscene will fade to black with companions filing out of the Herald’s Rest, looking angry/upset.
Romance Quest:
A New Beginning
(after For What?)
Upon visiting Ashariani’s normal spot, you find Varric instead. He tells you he hasn’t been able to find Ashariani all day, and he’s getting worried. Not knowing where to find her, you go to Solas, who tells you she’s swimming in a lake not that far from Skyhold. You can ask him if anything’s wrong, to which he will simply purse his lips and say, “It is not my place to say.”
The scene shifts to approaching the lake, where you find Ashariani sitting outside of the water, talking to a halla. When approached, she will become startled, then bashful, hiding her face. Tears are noticeably glistening on her cheeks. She then draws attention to the halla, petting them again. She explains that the halla’s name is Annwyl, and she was her friend back in the clan. Clan Lavellan had sent Annwyl to Ashariani for her efforts in the Inquisition, as well as some gifts for the Inquisitor, which she gives to you. You can ask her why she’s crying, to which she will respond with, “I don’t know.” You can press further or leave it be, which will end the cutscene.
When pressed further, she will get emotional, exclaiming that she’s found out her brother has died. She explains the incident and sits back down, crying into her hands. You can:
sit down next to her and talk to her (flirt)
ask her if she wants to go back to Skyhold (flirt)
leave her alone without a word (no chance for romance after this)
Whether you sit down with her or ask her to go to Skyhold, the conversation is the same: after telling you a bit about him, she asks you if she can attend her brother’s funeral. A yes answer is locked in, however she will ask you to go with her, and this is what you can say yes or no to. You can:
say yes (flirt)
say no (no chance for romance after this)
ask why she wants you to go with her
If no, she’ll nod her head and say she understands and that she appreciates the time you’ve given her to talk about him. The scene will end there. If yes, she’ll smile, and it will cut to his funeral. If asked why, she’ll tell you she holds you close to her heart and it would mean a lot to her if you were there with her. After the funeral, when you return to Skyhold, Ashariani will express her gratefulness for your support. You can then kiss her (starting the official romance) or accept her thank you and move on, ending the scene and any chance of romance.
If kissed, she will hold her hand over her mouth in shock, her face becoming red. She’ll then surge forward and kiss you again, throwing herself into your arms. You both kiss for a moment before Ashariani whispers, “Thank you,” while looking at the ground. Here you can make a sweet, snarky, or silly comment, to any of which she will smile and kiss you again. With that, she’ll grab your hand and say goodnight, holding onto your hand for as long as she can before your fingers slip out of hers. The cutscene fades to black.
Side Quest(s):
For Him
(after Demands of the Qun - only if Chargers were saved)
Acquire a powerful axe for Iron Bull hidden somewhere in the Hissing Wastes. You will gain approval from both Ashariani and Iron Bull, and later, when talking to Iron Bull, will experience a cutscene where Iron Bull is thanking her for the gift.
//
Bianca
(after Here Lies The Abyss - only if Hawke was sacrificed)
Acquire enough materials to craft a powerful addition for Bianca for Varric. Once crafted, equip Bianca with it. Once equipped, a cutscene will play where Varric is shooting with Bianca, showing off to Ashariani. As you walk away, Varric has a soft quiet moment where he thanks Ashariani and promises her he’ll be okay.
//
It’s A Date Then?
(after A New Beginning)
Acquire a gift for Ashariani and she’ll say she loves you. The gift (a pressed leather journal) can be obtained from the Dalish clan in the Exalted Plains. This will trigger a small cutscene where she expresses excitement over it and confesses that she loves you. You can say you love her too or that you’re not quite there yet, and either way she will be happy.
Cole’s reflection on their thoughts:
“So engulfed and yet, so alone. She fights and fights to stay something they could be proud of.”
“Bubbles, popping to the surface of a still lake. Change, but not too much. Warm, fuzzy feelings in her chest. Happiness is in reach, she hopes.”
“Friend. She helps, not harms. She sings, not screams. She is nice to me. I am nice to her.”
“Lost, fighting, breaking through the surface. He’s gone. But they’re here. They can make it go away. They can make her whole again.”
“She climbs and climbs, knowing there is a possibility of a fall. But she’s fallen before. No fear, she bounds from building to building, tree to tree. Where she’s free. Where there is no green, no screams, no evil. Just free.”
“Warmth. Warmth when they approach, their smile shining in the sunlight. Sunlight, beaming into her heart and warming her insides. Safe.” [about the Inquisitor]
“Warmth. Warmth when she’s nearby, honey sweet on her tongue. She is safe. She is warm. She is home.” [about Eloise]

Good to see you again.” / “Where are we going, Sunshine?” / (romance) “Wonderful to see you, Vhenan.” / “Hello, Sunlight.”
TRAVEL BANTER WITH COMPANIONS
Cassandra: What is that touching fists thing you two do all the time? It is ridiculous.
Dorian: Never heard of a fist bump, Seeker? What’s wrong with having a bit of fun?
Cassandra: It’s distracting.
Ashariani: Aw, come on Cassandra. You should try it sometime! Really forms the bonds of friendship.
Dorian: (laughs) You are simply adorable.
Varric (if in party): Oh, don’t worry, Glimmer. Cassandra just doesn’t know the definition of fun.
Sera (if in party): That’s nothing compared to our secret handshake, yeah? You should see it, Seeker. It involves our butts!
Cassandra: (Disgusted noise).
//
Iron Bull: You know, you’re surprisingly light.
Ashariani: Really? I didn’t hurt your shoulders?
Iron Bull: (laughs) Kid, you’d have to weigh about 60 pounds more to even make a dent on me.
Inquisitor: You really have to stop letting her ride on your shoulders during battle.
Ashariani: But it’s fun!
Sera (if in party): Can I have a go? No reason why she should have all the fun, yeah?
Vivienne (if in party): Fun does not always mean safe, my dear. I would proceed with caution when tempting fate as such.
Ashariani (to Sera): Of course! (to Vivienne): Yes, ma’am.
//
Solas: Do you miss home, Ashariani?
Ashariani: Sometimes. Do you?
Solas: No. Though the thought of a home to return to is a pleasant one.
Ashariani: You have no home?
Solas: (chuckles) The Inquisition is my home now. Isn’t that more than one could hope for?
Ashariani: Yeah...I guess so. I’m glad you feel at home here.
Solas: I wish the same of you, Letha’lin.
Varric (if in party): Are you guys done with the sappy, cryptic talk yet? This isn’t good material for my stories.
Ashariani: (giggles).
Leaving the Inquisition: It takes a lot to get Ashariani to leave, but if you gain enough approval, she will come to you in tears, and tell you she doesn’t think the Inquisition is the right place for her anymore. She will wish you well and ask you to tell the others she says she’ll keep in touch. You can choose to beg her to stay, in which she will, but only if you don’t net any more disapproval before new approval, or tell her she can leave. She will then say goodbye, muttering bad things, and walk off, the cutscene ending and her leaving the Inquisition forever.

surprises- pt 7 | mat barzal
part 6
What do you think of this one? You send the associated link along to Mat and then resume your Zillow search. Since officially agreeing to move in with him, you’d spent a lot of time house hunting, searching through online listings for potentials. Unfortunately, despite even viewing a few, only one so far had actually caught either of you as being remotely right...and you’d been outbid by another buyer.
“Whatcha doing?” Molly flops down on the couch next to you, still in her work clothes.
“House hunting.” You’d barely even noticed her come in, stuck in your search, but now that you’re paying attention, you certainly notice the breath she sucks through her teeth. “What?”
“Nothing.” She lies.
“Molly.” You give her a look.
“Wow, you have really got that mom look down.” She shakes her head.
“Practice makes perfect!” Or so they say. “Now what is it?”
“I think it’s a bad idea for you to move in with Mat.” She says quickly.
“You what?” You look over at her, eyes wide.
She sits up, tucking one leg underneath her as she turns to face you. “Look, YN, I am 100% Team Baby. I am 100% Team You. And you know I love Mat, but if it comes down to it? It’s you all the way! And I’m concerned about you moving in with him with things like...like...like however they are now, when you are obviously in love with him and will not admit it!”
“Of course I love Mat!” She’s-she’s-she is way off base here, god! “Molly, come on! He’s my baby’s father.”
It’s her turn to cut you off with a look. “That’s not what I meant and you know it.” She takes a deep breath. “I just-I can’t let you go through this without telling you this could blow up very poorly.”
The worst part is you can actually see it. A vision down the line, of one of those perfect women that line the bars eager to talk to Mat anytime you’ve ever been out with him, Mat with his arm wrapped around one of them while he looks at you apologetically. Because eventually he’s going to be looking for that, surely? His forever?
You might have been a step along the way, one he’d be stuck with now, and there were some valid reasons as to why moving in together right now made sense, but surely, it wouldn’t last forever. And then you’d be where?
Sensing maybe she pushed too far, Molly apologizes. “I’m sorry.”
“No,” You tell her, not willing to admit she’s completely right, but possibly willing to concede that she may have a point or two. “You know I always appreciate you looking out for me.”
“You’re still gonna move in with Mat, aren’t you?” She says, knowingly.
Your phone buzzes and you’re certain it’s Mat, saying no to the house you sent with some lame reason like he doesn’t like the crown molding, as if he even knows what that is, and you nod to Molly as you pull it close to you, smiling. “Yeah. I am.” You’ll cross those other bridges when you come to them.
“You are gone for him.” She pats your knee.
Mat Barzal: Idk about that crown molding
-----
At another Islanders home game, Lauren approaches you excitedly. “Guess what?”
You are tired, constantly annoyed, still having heartburn despite the Tums you’d just popped, and cannot imagine how you’re supposed to get any bigger or keep this baby inside you for almost eight more weeks, so you snap back, kind of crankily, “What?” Because you’re in no more of a mood to play her games than you are to be at this one, which you’d attended solely at Mat’s request.
“There’s a house around the corner from Jordan and I that just went up for sale!”
Now that catches your attention and you struggle to sit up straighter in your seat. “Tell me, tell me!”
She laughs, but obliges, sliding into the seat next to you to start chatting about the neighborhood and the house, or at least, what she knows about it, and so when the game ends, you practically leap at Mat, who still manages to catch you gently. “Whoa! Are you-”
“I found it!” The Zillow page for the house is still pulled up on your phone, which is...definitely out of reach, but you don’t even care, grinning up at Mat with the biggest smile on your face.
Mat’s smiling back, one arm around your waist and one hand tucked under your elbow to keep the two of you upright. “You found what?” Then it dawns on him, before you can even continue. “You found a house?”
You nod, excitedly. “Well, technically Lauren found it.”
“We’re gonna be neighbors!” She cheers, from where she’s sitting on the couch behind you
“Why would you do that to me?” Jordan frowns over at her and she only cheers again as you and Mat laugh.
“Carpool buddies!” She grins.
“We have a tour scheduled tomorrow.” You tell him.
“You’re jumping right in on this one, huh?”
You nod. “I really think it’s it.”
Mat pulls you into his side and kisses your temple. “Can’t wait to see it.”

“Good news!” Mat greets you, when you answer his call and the minute he tells you that you got the house, you burst into tears. “Oh shit, YN, baby, please.”
“I’m okay.” You sob, even as Molly tries her best to calm you, shoving her laptop to the side on the countertop. This is 38 weeks pregnant- absolutely huge, body leaking everywhere it’s possible to leak, back pain, contractions, and of course, crying at the drop of a hat. “Just really happy.”
Mat chuckles and then sounding reluctant as he adds, “I’ve got to head into a tape session; are you going to be okay?”
You nod, before remembering that he can’t see you. “Molly and I are online shopping at Target.”
You hear him huff out a laugh. “Ok, yeah, you’re going to be fine real quick.”
It’s shaky, but you laugh back. “What’s that supposed to mean?” You tease.
“Remember, we don’t actually have the house yet.” He teases back. “I’ve seen the two of you come home from Target before. We don’t have the room to store the entire home section yet.”
“I promise to refrain from buying the entire home section.”
“Until you make settlement!” Molly calls, loud enough for him to hear and bark out a laugh.
“She doesn’t get my credit card when you go furniture shopping.” Mat tells you, before he really has to go and you hang up on him, before he can make himself late.
“So silly that Mat thinks we’ll just buy all of the home section,” Molly says, adding a cheese plate to the cart.
“I know, right? Obviously, we’d go to Home Goods too.”
You both laugh as you nudge her to direct her search to baby gear- you’d seen something elephant-y in an email that came that week and had an idea to hang it on the nursery wall-and then you snicker as Molly throws about four other things in the cart before you reach what you wanted. “Hey, is this the-”
“Molly!” You gasp, feeling a trickle of fluid between your legs.
“Ok, not that one.”
“Molly!” You repeat, as the trickle starts to feel more like a gush, and she finally looks over.
“Oh my god! Okay. Okay! Everything’s going to be fine.”
“Uh huh.” Is your apartment suddenly getting super warm? You squeeze onto the countertop in front of you, trying to work through the contraction hitting you.
“YN.” Molly grabs your hand and squeezes it. “Hey. You’re good! You’re great.”
“Molly, we can’t keep a fucking plant alive!” You cry, bursting into tears abruptly, as soon as the pain of the contraction passes. “I can’t have a baby! What the fuck were we thinking?”
“Babe, they are so not the same thing; you are so incredible and you’re gonna be the best mom.” She tries, but that only sends you into more tears, and so she goes another route. “Mat keeps plants alive just fine and you keep Mat alive; he’d be lost without you!” Still sobbing, she merely shakes her head and guides you into your room, directing you to change so you could leave for the hospital once you spoke with your OB. “I’m calling Mat, YN!”
To you, it feels like forever before Mat bursts into your apartment, waiting on the couch with your bag for the hospital, with Molly doing her best to distract you from the pain with all kinds of different stories.
Molly, however, immediately snickers when he arrives. “God, did you even stop at a red light on your way here?”
“What?” He looks frazzled, more than you’ve ever seen him, and he rushes over to you, not answering her question further. “Hey.” He says gently.
“Hi.” You immediately reach for his hand, grateful for his presence, his comfort...just him.
“So, baby’s coming.” He smiles and you shake your head violently, watching as he looks over at Molly, a little confused. “Baby’s not coming?”
“Baby can’t come; it’s too early! We’re not ready!”
Mat pulls you up, kisses your forehead once he’s got you standing. “We’re ready as fuck, what are you talking about?” You give him a look. “There’s not a single thing that you and I can’t do together.”
You take a deep breath. “You’re right.”
“Sure.” Molly mutters. “When Mat says it.”
Mat fights back a grin. “Let’s go crush labor.”
“Call me ASAP about my nephew.” Molly hugs you tightly.
“And if it’s a niece?” You manage to tease, even as you feel another contraction coming on. “Should we call Tito first? He’s been calling that all along.”
She gives you a death stare. “Don’t you fucking dare.”
-----
When you wake up, there’s a moment of brief panic, before you turn and see Mat sitting in the chair beside your bed, with a swaddle of blankets in his hands. “Oh thank god.”
Mat doesn’t look up, as enchanted now as he was from the first minute. “I told you and Molly not to watch that baby snatcher movie.”
You can’t help but smile, watching the two of them. “You should have known that wasn’t going to stop us.”
Mat finally meets your eyes. “True.” He’s beaming; it’s been full beam or absolute sobbing the entire night for both of you, pretty much no in between. “Here, you want her back?”
You bite your lip, because, yeah kinda, on one hand, you really really do. But on the other hand, just watching Mat hold her right now kind of makes you incredibly soft. Your daughter practically fits in his hands; they cradle her softly against him, so much care and gentleness from such power. “No.” You tell him, watching as he gently draws his finger down the slope of her nose.
“Scoot over.” He says instead, squeezing into the bed next to you. You lean against him comfortably, resting one hand against your daughter’s foot. God, she’s amazing.
Mat’s arm comes around your shoulders, pulling you in as he continues to keep hold of her in his other arm, and he echoes your thoughts as the two of you watch her sleep. “She’s perfect.” He murmurs and you nod your agreement. “So are you. You did great.”
“I did do all the hardwork.” You agree, smiling when he does his best to hide his laugh. “But you did great too.” He kisses your hair and you abruptly change the subject, as he rests his head against yours, unsure you’ll be able to handle any more praise from him without bursting into tears right now. “I still want to use your mom’s name as the middle name.”
“No arguments here.” Mat says. “But I think it eliminates Giada in the first name slot.”
You nod in agreement. “Maeve it is then.”
“Hi Maeve.” Mat practically breathes, he’s speaking so softly. “We’re your parents.”
“We love you, Maeve.” You add, testing it out as well.
“Go to your room, Maeve!”
“You like the Rangers, Maeve?”
“Don’t joke about that shit.” Mat whispers. “My girl’s never going to have such poor taste.”
You laugh. “No, I think she’s already a daddy’s girl. I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about.” He’s smiling down at her again, running his finger over her forehead again, and it’s to that picture that you once again drift into sleep, perfectly content to be close to the two of them.

Tumblr media
ZINNIAS DOUBLE POCKET CARD I'm thrilled to share a card-making journey that marries elegance with a sprinkle of surprise. The Double Pocket Tag Card, featuring the soon-to-be-released Flowering Zinnias Suite, is more than just a card—it's a delightful experience for both the maker and the receiver. Let's delve into the essence of this creation, from its inspiration to its versatile applications, and how you can bring this beauty to life. Inspiration: A Garden of Paper The genesis of this project was the enchanting Flowering Zinnias Suite, part of the exciting Online Exclusives launching next month. My vision was to craft a card that not only sends a message but also unfolds like a narrative. By combining the vibrant Zinnias with thoughtful phrases from the Sweetly Scraped and Happy Little Things stamp sets, I aimed to create a garden in bloom, with each tag representing a flower in this paper-crafted Eden. The special twist? As each tag is lifted, a heartwarming greeting is revealed, transforming a simple card into a memorable experience. Versatility for Every Occasion What excites me about this design is its adaptability. Initially crafted as a birthday greeting, I quickly realized its potential to transcend occasions. By simply altering the greeting, this card transforms—making it perfect for Mother's Day, anniversaries, or just because. It's a testament to how creativity can bridge messages and moments. A Note on Presentation Given its dimensional beauty, this card challenges the norms of envelope sizing. The floral overhang and tag protrusions beckon for a larger envelope or perhaps a gentle bubble wrap embrace. Physical Education
A/N: This is my first fic I’ve ever published please be gentle lmao. Feedback is welcome though, I have no clue what I’m doing and it shows.
Clyde Logan & Sadie’s Teacher!Reader
Warnings: None I can think of other than probable grammatical error and fluff
Summary: Sadie decides to bring her Uncle Clyde to career day and he hits it off with her teacher.
Tumblr media
Physical education
Teaching is not a learned skill. It’s not taught like math or science, and it’s not something you can take as an extra-curricular in high school. Yes, you can get better over time and with practice but sometimes it just comes down to whether or not you have the gift. Patience.
When I was younger, I used to wait in line at the bus stop dutifully like my mama taught me, hair tied up in an updo that probably took mama way too long to do in the ungodly hours of six am. She used her steady practiced hands to guide my hair into the place she wanted, and that’s when I learned I came from patient people. She would listen to my stories with rapt attention, nodding when needed, and interjecting her own wisdom only when she knew it was right. She was the most patient woman in the world and I learned everything I knew about teaching from her.
When she passed, I knew she just wanted me to be happy, she never pushed me to be anything less than that. She waited out all the phases, the trials and errors of my college years, the rough patch of rebellion in high school, and even the short time after college when I had refused to do anything but take care of her in her final months of life. She urged me to go and work more than part time at big earl’s dinner down the road, she urged me to use my gift.
After she was gone, the funeral was finished, and the casserole pans returned to the PTA moms who lent them, there wasn’t much tethering me to the once special town that I lived. The memories there were more bitter than sweet and I couldn’t bring myself to stay. So, when the time was right and the dust settled, I applied to teach in all parts and I promised the first job that gave me a green light would be the one to take. That’s what got me to where I am today, a third-grade teacher in Boone County, West Virginia.
I enjoy teaching third grade; they have such big hearts and rarely ever is there an issue of behavior more than an over-excited kid in class. They look at the world so with wonder in every instance and my job is to facilitate that growth. This being my first year at Boone County Elementary school came with a rather big learning curve, with everyone knowing everyone else in town it was hard to break into the system the town had somehow set up. There was an unspoken understanding of respect and honor to some, not that those always earned it, and that others were destined to repeat the past.
Sadie Logan was one of those poor souls labeled with a curse of some kind. The kids in her class mentioned it at all given occasions when Sadie proved herself smarter and stronger than them. Sadie was smart as whip, funny as all get out, and had a big heart full of love for the people in her life. She sat with me in my room before class and I taught her all sorts of things from checkers, to long division. When the spring came around so did the third-grade class’s career day, which Sadie’s usual excitement for school seemed to double.
The morning after the day was announced and the forms were sent home, Sadie came bursting into my room with her usual intense excitement, “Miss L/N!” she called out.
“Is that Miss Sadie Logan already?” I teased while she hung her backpack on her hook that lined the wall opposite of the board, “I could have sworn It was too early to have a monkey in class!” She flipped around with a loud laugh and a piece of paper in her hand.
“I’m not a monkey, Miss L/N!” she approached my desk proudly, “I gotta question ‘bout career day though!” She swayed back and forth as she waited for me to respond.
    “Alright then Miss Sadie, shoot.”
“Well, I told my mama ‘bout it and she wanted Moody-” at the mention of his name I felt my skin start to crawl. He wasn’t my favorite parent having already disrespected me on meet the teacher night back in October. His wandering eyes and condescending attitude made me want to cry by the end of the night. I just hoped he wouldn’t rub off on sweet little Sadie.
“- to do it, but Moody said he can’t just stop workin’ for some stupid fair!” She sighed exasperatedly like he had personally offended her, which I’m sure he did, “which is st- it’s silly, Miss L/N! So, when my Daddy came by to pick me up for ice cream, I asked him!” she grinned ear to ear, I hadn’t met her father but Sadie spoke so highly of him I couldn’t imagine him to be anything less than a proper gentleman.
“So, your daddy’s gonna’ be the one comin’ in?” I asked softly, after she paused taking a big breath.
“Well, not quite! I talked to my daddy and he can’t because he’s gonna be workin in the mines that day and he don’t have enough time off to be able to come!” I frowned at her words, I was really hoping to have her father come so I could tell him how great Sadie was in and out of class. I also know how happy she would be to have her dad there to sit with her at lunch and tell stories and play with her at recess. “But don’t worry! He came up with an even better plan, but I gotta’ ask your permission first!” She beamed up at me in the thought of her plan.
“Now what did your daddy think up for ya’?” I asked, excited to hear more of the shenanigans he had planned for the two of them.
“Since he couldn’t come and Moody couldn’t either! And mama don’t have a job!” I gave her a look, telling her to respect her mama whether she had a job or not. “what? S’not mean if I’m just bein’ honest Miss. L/N!” She defended herself.
“I know that Sadie, but it’s your tone a’ voice.” I spoke softly to the girl, “Your mama works hard to make sure you’re happy and healthy and that’s very important.” I explained and she seemed to take a moment to let the words sink in. “So, if your daddy can’t come and neither can Moody, and you don’t want your mama to come, then who’s comin’ in for ya?” I asked putting the girl back on track.
“Well, My Uncle Clyde said he could do it!” She bounced excitedly, “And he’s real cool too! He was in the army and now he has one arm and he’s super tall and sometimes he puts me on his shoulders and walks me around and I can touch the clouds!” She rambled on about her uncle excitedly. Sadie had mentioned her uncle Clyde in passing, she knew he was a veteran, that he liked goin’ with Sadie and her dad to the fair, and now that he was super tall. A warm glow in my heart began to bloom at the idea of meeting someone from her dad’s side of the family. Sadie was such a good kid that the side of the family must be a good one.
“That sounds like a great plan! What do you need to ask permission for?”
“Well, my mama said that since he wasn’t my… legal guardian I had to ask.” She spoke like her mama made her rehearse it before dropping her off this morning. “So, is it alright if my uncle comes instead?” She pleaded with me.
“That’s just fine with me Miss Sadie.” I spoke, taking her slip from her to sign off on the change of plans, as I finished my signature the bell rang and with it the rest of the class began to filter their way into the classroom. “Why don’t you put this in your take home folder and find your seat before we start the pledge?” I smiled down at her and she beamed back before heading to her desk. With Sadie in her seat and the rest of the class milling about, the day began.
Career day came around quicker than I’d have liked. I had pushed of decorating until the morning of, which I’m currently regretting as I stand on a chair desperately trying to pin up the second half of the banner, I had made last week. I had already hung some streamers, set up extra seats, and re-arranged the desks so they’re in a semi-circle. I also lugged my old card table from my garage for the refreshments the parents were bringing.
With not much time left before class I found the second half of the banner was going to be a bigger stretch than I was anticipating. Beads of sweat began to collect on my forehead, I thanked all that was holy I had extra deodorant in my desk just in case.
If I stretched just a couple inches further the banner would be perfectly taught, as I pushed one last time to secure it, I heard the door open behind me.
“Miss L/N!” Sadie shrieked in excitement, bounding into the class, unfortunately for me when I tried to swivel to greet her, I miscalculated the end of the chair. Once I was about halfway facing the girl my foot began to slip, and I braced myself for the impact of the floor beneath me.
Instead of the floor meeting my impact I was embraced by a solid chest and the aroma of deep pine, leather, and a smokey bonfire. I felt the firm arm that circled my waste, it was warm and sturdy like my mother’s hands in my hair when I grew up, or my grandfather when he would come by to fix stuff around the house before he died. The feeling was like waking up on Sunday and it smelled like the first feeling of fall. When I opened my eyes, it was even more enchanting.
When Sadie mentioned her Uncle Clyde, she should have said he was younger than her father. She also could have warned her how attractive he is. No, that would have been weird. Clyde looked down at me with concern in his whiskey colored eyes, a deep furrow in his brow, and I couldn’t help the heat that crept up from my spine into my chest and face. The awkward shame of being a complete clutz in front of this incredibly attractive man.
“You alright ma’am?” He asked in a soft voice, oh god his voice, that only made me want to hide under my desk than confront the fact I’ve made an absolute fool of myself.
“Yes,” I stammered out, re-gaining my upright footing on the ground and straightening out my clothes only to realize the man standing in front of me is well over six feet tall. I stared up at him with wide eyes before I realized he was waiting for me to say something, “I’m so sorry, Mr. Logan this isn’t how I expected to meet anyone today,” I looked around to make sure no one else was here but Sadie, “My name is-“
“Miss L/N,” He finished for me with a small polite smile, “Sadie talks ‘bout you a lot, she loves your class.” He compliments and I felt my heart grow at the praise.
“Well, I love having Sadie In my class, she’s a bright lady, and please, call me y/n,” I clarified, which wasn’t something I was planning on doing with parents, but he wasn’t Sadie’s guardian.
“Well then, y/n, you can call me Clyde,” He extended his arm to shake and I took it happily. “Do you want me to hold the chair while you finish up with the banner? It’s too nice to be hangin’ from one side.” He complimented again which was sending shockwaves of joy through my veins.
“That would be really helpful Clyde, thank you.” I replied, carefully stepping up to the chair and grabbing the end of the banner. With the steady help of Clyde, hanging the banner was a breeze. Once it was set and I stepped off the chair, with another helpful hand from Clyde, I was able to breathe fully.
Sadie, who had been sitting in the back corner of the room I had set up for a comfortable reading center, popped up. “Uncle Clyde, what’d you pack for lunch?” She was dead set on the odd question.
“Aunt Mellie packed us the same lunch Sadie bug, so I reckon’ I’ll have what you’re havin’.” He spoke in few words but I hung onto each as if they would be the last he ever spoke in front of me.
“Miss L/n?” she turned her attention to me, “Are ya’ gonna eat lunch with Uncle Clyde and me?” She spoke, sometimes on special days teachers sit with their students at lunch, but today was not one of those days.
“Not today Sadie, I’ve got to stay in here and guard the room from the hallway trolls!” I exaggerated for her delight. She giggled and when I looked up, I saw Clyde had a soft endearing smile on his face that made me want to jump head first into him.
“We oughta’ leave her to that for lunch huh Sadie bug?” Clyde offered and Sadie nodded earnestly plopping back down in the corner to finish her book. Clyde looked back at me bashfully, like I had caught him in a private moment.
“It’s real sweet for you to be here today.” I started as I walked to the refreshment table, “Would you like a coffee?” I offered him. When I turned back, he snapped out of the daze he was In and nodded silently as I poured him a cup into a cheap Styrofoam cup. “I don’t know many uncle’s who would step up like this. Cream?”
“Erm- no. No, thank you.” He stammered and I handed him the cup, “Us Logan’s tend to be a tight knit bunch.” He affirmed my beliefs.
“That sounds nice.” I hummed, sipping my own coffee from earlier.
“That’s what families do.” He stated, underplaying the significance of his situation.
“Not all families,” I murmured mostly to myself.
“Hm?” He asked for clarification, I hadn’t even realized he heard me.
“Oh! Nothing, sorry, I was talking to myself really.” I felt the embarrassment rise in me again. When I looked up at him to say something the bell rang. “Well, hope you enjoyed the quiet, I doubt you’ll be gettin’ any more of that here.” As if proving my point, the class, and their respective parents filed in for the start of the day.
The whole morning was filled, one by one people explaining their job, how they got it, why they like it, and what the best thing about their job is. That’s followed by a series of questions from the students which almost never have anything to really do with their job.
Clyde was the last to go, explaining how he was in the army, why he joined the fight, he told a story about one of his friends he met in Iraq and that he’s a bartender now. After a couple minutes of explaining what a bartender is, and what he does now that he’s not in the army, the kids finally asked about his hand. I expected him to get a little agitated maybe, or shy, but really, he took the questions in a stride.
“How do you pee with one hand?” one of the kids questioned, his mother immediately blushing out of the second-hand embarrassment, but before Clyde could answer or the mother could reprimand him, I interrupted.
“Mr. Bradley, you know better than that sir.” I began softly, “Remember last week we talked about boundaries, well you’ve gotta apologize for breakin’ Mr. Logan’s boundaries.” I reminded him, and he let out a disappointed apology at the man.
“S’alright, I actually get that one a lot from people a lot older than you.” He joked and some of the parents in the back laughed it off. “’Sides I got this fancy arm here now.” He lifts up his sleeve to show off the dark green prosthetic. It looked incredibly high tech and impressive, but all I could wonder was how that metal would feel in contrast to his skin.
Before I could go any deeper into that thought the bell rang and it was time for recess. I stood in front of the class, next to Clyde, and announced “Alright friends! It’s recess time, I want you all to line up with your parent’s behind Mr. Logan here, and we’ll go out.” I grabbed my keys and stood just in front of Clyde watching the mass of students and parents file into a nice line.
Once everyone was set, I led the class out the classroom, down the hall and out a side door to the playground. I led them to a big oak tree next to a bench in the shade. “Alright friends! I know all my smart children know this but once the recess monitor blows the whistle we meet back here!” I announced, mostly for the adults. “Now, make sure you’re all careful and nice to each other, if your guests want to play, they can but if they don’t, we have to do what?” I asked, waiting for their response.
“Respect their choice.” The class answered in a monotone fashion, just ready to get on the playground. So, I dismissed them and in a varying degree of excitement the crowd dispersed. Most parents went off with their kid but Clyde seemed to linger back.
“Mind if I hang back for a bit?” He asked politely gesturing to the bench I was already seated on.
“Not one bit,” I allowed and he sat with a gruff sigh, “I’m surprised you’re not bein’ pulled in a million directions. After the boys found out you were in the army, I thought they’d be buggin’ ya to play with them.” I wondered aloud, watching the young kids kick around a soccer ball in the field.
“I think that’s Sadie’s doin.” He answered shortly, only elaborating when I gave him a confused look.
“She talkin’ bad about you behind your back?” I asked.
“No, I think she was hopin’ you and I’d be friends.” I stiffened, my quick little crush on him must be obvious for his third-grade niece to try and throw me a bone.
“Oh, Clyde I’m sorry, if you don’t want to sit with-“ I began, but he cut me off.
“Don’t worry Darlin, if I didn’t want to sit with ya’ I wouldn’t be.” He affirmed in his sturdy assured manner of speaking. I subconsciously moved closer to him. “I hope you don’t mind my askin but, what brings you to Boone County?” He asked innocently.
“Well Clyde I’d tell ya’ but I think it would take me a couple drinks first.” I avoided the answer, knowing if there was any chance this man liked me back it would be squashed by me crying on him at the playground.
“That does seem to be my specialty darlin’.: He replied smoothly, gaining a confidence I hadn’t seen in him earlier. Maybe he was being polite, but I hoped he was just getting more comfortable with me.
“Well, then you should have no trouble making drinks strong enough to get my secrets from me.” I rebutted; it was a little too honest for my liking but the way Clyde was looking at me made me want to tell him all my little truths.
“I’ve got different ways of gettin’ secrets out of a lady and gettin’ you drunk ain’t one.” He responded with an understated grin, it’s like he knows what he is doing to me.
The rest of recess was spent under the sturdy oak tree on a bench talking to Clyde about trivial things. He didn’t bring up anything from my past that he may want to know and vice versa. I was curious how a man like him could be single until it hit me that he never really specified that he was in fact single. The thought of Clyde having a wife or girlfriend at home waiting for him made my stomach turn all throughout the lunch period. I thanked God that I was able to regroup in my room rather than stand in the cafeteria monitoring the kids.
I spent most of the period cleaning up the room and setting out a craft that would take a good portion of the rest of the day since the kids weren’t going to their usual elective class. This helped even my mind out of funk Clyde put it in. Just as I felt like my brain, and its hormones, mellowed out there was a knock at the door. When I opened it, Clyde stood there with none other than Sadie on his shoulders.
“Hope ya’ don’t mind Miss L/n!” Sadie said excitedly, “Uncle Clyde and I finished lunch early and snuck out!” She let out a mischievous laugh.
“Well,” a chuckle slipped past my lips, half in shock and half amusement of their antics, “Since you’re still with Clyde I can let you get away with it just once.” Clyde’s cheeks burned at my statement and I shot him an innocent smile. He ducked through the doorway enough to get Sadie through safely, then brought her down careful not to drop her.
“Sadie, since you’re here would you out a worksheet at every desk for me?” She nodded and worked diligently to do what we asked. I turned to Clyde who was unceremoniously eating a cookie from the table of refreshments. “So, what brings you from the cafeteria? Mrs Lowells Cookies?”
Clyde, not expecting to be seen mid-cookie, chokes a bit, “No-“ He pauses to regain composure, “No, I er- I didn’t want you ta be lonely in here?” His questioning tone and red cheeks told me it wasn’t the full story, but like we did under the oak, I didn’t push him.
“Oh? That’s awful sweet Clyde, was its Sadie who offered to keep me company?” I asked knowing that it was most definitely not. Sadie was a social butterfly, and lunch was her domain in the third-grade class.     “Hm? Sadie?” Clyde smirked, knowing full well I was onto his schemes, “Of course Miss L/n, what are you trying to insinuate here?”
“Nothing Mr. Logan,” I took a step closer to the man, being mindful there was still a child in the room, “What did you think I was insinuating?” I challenged his notion and was met with a blossoming blush and shy smile.
“Nothing improper,” he raised his hand to show three fingers, “Scouts honor darlin’.” At that a burst of joy exploded in my chest. Clyde Logan was a gentleman through and through and it made me want to burst.
“Alrightie then Scout, how bout’ you help little Sadie pass out papers, lunch is just about over.” He broke his gaze and it felt like the world around me faded back into view. I wondered how many women sat across his bar and felt the same. Am I just another girl falling under the spell of a charming, well-mannered, one-armed, bartender? I turned to look at him passing out the papers with all the seriousness of a drill sergeant in basic training. It was incredibly endearing.
Yet again, the bell rang and the moment of wonder between Clyde and I was interrupted by the trickling stream of students.
The rest of the day was surprisingly chaotic for a worksheet and a craft. Two bottles of glue were spilled, both by adults, and there was a cotton ball fight that led to two students’ clips being moved to yellow and two parents sent to the hall to cool off. The headache that was reverberating around my head after a day spent taking care of the students and the parents must’ve been the biggest one in a long time. As I was cleaning up, I found that Sadie had left one of her drawings on her desk, which was odd because Sadie always made a point to take hers home for her dad.
I took the paper and put it on my desk to save for her, and once I was satisfied with the state of the room, I decided to see what the drawing was. On one side of the page was a nice tree over looking some flowers and a house, a skilled drawing for their age, but that was nothing new for Sadie. On the back however, it was a very different message.
Miss L/n, my uncle Clyde thinks you’re pretty. He works at the Duck tape bar every night except for Mondays (or whenever he gets sick).
p.s.: you should marry him so you can be my aunt.
I never did take Sadie for a match maker, but then again I can’t complain when I’ve got another reason to go visit a particular bartender, and hope that he felt the same chemistry I did.
A/N: Thank you for reading! Again, first fic so please interact or leave some feedback! Would love to hear if anyone wants more!

Three of Pentacles. Art by Christine Donnelly, from The Light Seer’s Tarot.
Light Seer (Upright): co-operation, community, teaching and learning, sharing and listening, team work, limitless ceiling on what you can manifest together
Shadow Seer (Reversed): difficulty working with others, a need to listen, selfishness, pushing one’s own agenda, not trusting your partner’s ability, ego clash
Working with others can not only gift us with the opportunity to learn from one another, it also allows for the blending of energies to create something that couldn’t be done by one person alone. This card asks you to look for opportunities to collaborate with other people, maybe as mentors or apprentices, and in many instances you could take on both roles at the same time. Co-creating together for the good of the whole is powerful magic, and this teamwork and community card calls you forward to add your unique essence to a bigger picture.
Remember, that your relationships are the base of your well-being. If you are having trouble working with others, this card counsels to seek realignment of goals and outcomes in order to cultivate a peaceful union. Mutually beneficial relationships place equal importance on each person’s novel wisdom, energetic signature and way of being in the world, regardless of the relational hierarchy. You have something uniquely enchanting to bring to the table. When our life paths are entwined, we must strive to create harmonic states as we weave our way in and out of each other’s days. Leave inflated egos and the need to be right out of your conversation. Not only will you manifest dreams this way, but by welcoming alternative forms of thinking into your world, you will open up doors of possibility that simply couldn’t exist before you blended your magic.
