I LOVE the way when they kidnap young Uhtred, Uhtred is so excited to introduce his cringefail Christian son and he's being just an absolute wet blanket.

And then Uhtred immediately proves yes this IS my boy by being an equally cringefail father for earnestly bringing his son a tiny pony and being just so so excited about it.

Uhtred and His Kids Celebrate Halloween

Halloween in Uhtred's household is nothing short of an all family event. From travelling to the pumpkin farm to pick out that years pumpkins, to carving the numerous pumpkins that would decorate the family home.

And it was always a competition. Who could make the best pumpkin, who could make the scariest pumpkin? Which had the most wild and intricate design?

Their house was known in the neighbourhood for being one of the best decorated. There wasn't a year that went by that Uhtred wouldn't get waves of trick or treaters staring at their home in awe before knocking on the door.

Before it got too dark, the kids - now they were old enough - would roast marshmallows to eat with the movie night they always had.

The final tradition, since Stiorra and Uhtred Jr were small, was a movie night. The two were never too old for matching pjs, snacks and hot chocolate on the couch with their dad.

If there was one thing Uhtred loved, it was time spent with his kids.

Hii<3 I’ve been waiting soooo long for someone to start writing for tlk and since you are one of my favourite writers here on tumblr I’m really happy you’ve started writing for the show. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Anyways, time to get straight to the point. I really liked your dating headcanons for Uhtred. Could you please do something similar with Osferth where they’re like complete opposites; sun x moon, shy x confident. I could really imagine Osferth with a warrior s/o, preferably with a lot of experience in life, and perhaps someone of a different religion. You can decide if you want to write a nsfw section or not but I’d love it if you did.

I would be absolutely HONOURED to write this for you. I love Osferth so much. Yesterday I officially finished the series and then watched the movie, Seven Kings Must Die, and ... whew. This show is actually brilliant.

And I do not understand why The Last Kingdom barely has anything written for it?! So you can bet your sweet bippies I'm going to be writing for this show!

P.s. I also loved that you added what kind of relationship you wanted reader to have with Osferth - it narrows it down a lot for me. And makes it easier to encapture the dynamics.

Sidenote: ...look at Finan's arms. Oh...

I love that Uhtred's children are symbolic of his own divided heritage. Young Uhtred is entirely Saxon and Christian, while Stiorra is entirely Dane and a follower of the gods. I love that despite everything they have been through this season the last time we see them is here: happily embracing, symbolic of Uhtred's own unity of spirit in having restored himself to his place in Bebbanburg.
