     Currently obsessed thanks to @throned with the idea of Arthas personally participating in the assault against Kil'jaeden. ( And recruiting him to help kill his old boss’s boss as a questline, and plopping him in Argus for questlines, and et cetera et cetera. ) He's busy keeping the lesser demons at bay like the other NPCs, but there is no chance he’d allow himself to be outdone by Illidan & thus would contribute a few mechanics of his own to the raid. They aren’t nearly as necessary, because he still hates everyone involved and demands that you “ earn ” his aid. They also involve dying, because of course.

     Firstly: once per person, anyone who dies has the chance to be reanimated instantly as a zombie, to fight on for a few extra seconds before going down ... at the cost of not being able to be properly resurrected for the rest of the fight. He insults you for it.

     When Kil’jaeden casts Shadow Reflection on players, “ severing their souls & creating copies of them, ” Arthas gets annoyed and boasts at how far necromancy has progressed free from the Legion’s yoke. Players who land the killing blow on their own Shadow Reflection gain a buff: Legacy of Ner’zhul. Under its aegis, they do additional shadowfrost damage until they die, at which point they’ll be reanimated by Arthas but without the time limit. ( Potentially also they’re being damaged by shadowfrost, thus ensuring that you’re eventually going to eat it if only because a raid-long damage buff like this seems excessive. )

     I’m still very ish about the details. Game design is hard. Jam-packing new mechanics into a pretty tight fight is even harder. I’ll probably come back to this later when something better occurs to me.

I just learned this new thing in astrology that has personally helped me a lot, like I hadn't even realised that so many of my problems were being caused by my debilitated Mercury 😭. I was reading stuff on how to decrease the bad effects of a bad planet in your chart, and for me, the solution was to pray to lord Ganesh, and chant a mantra 5 times a day, I've been doing it for a month and I really feel so much better now, my finances have significantly improved, I started making new and good friends and overall I've been feeling really happy (I do have some very sad moments because of Saturn 🥲, but nothing serious)

I wanna make a post about it, but then...you gotta pray to Hindu gods and I don't wanna make anyone uncomfortable, and I haven't yet discovered any alternative solutions for debilitated planets, so like..... I'm very confused😭

i'm getting towards the end of the skypeia arc, & i'd like to say just how much i adore the way the female strawhats have been treated.

just... every aspect of how the way their characters have been previously contextualized influences the story-line is treated with a masterful amount of consideration. we're given so many layers to both of them that enrich not only their characters specifically, but the arc, and the one piece world as a whole. without nami & robin having their specific skills, and their specific values, without those being built upon, the story would have come to a halt.

you could not have skypeia without nami & robin being who they are as individuals. not just because they never would've gotten there without nami, but also because the way these women think is itself foundational to the machinations of the arc as a whole.

to be totally upfront, if you think any other strawhats were more central to the skypeia arc than nami & robin were you are full-on fucking lying to yourself.

i am extremely worried about people who are like, 'if you didn't like the barbie movie i don't trust you'. there are valid fucking reasons to distrust it that don't boil down to 'the dudebros are angry a film about a girl's doll doesn't have a man at centre frame'

the film very much DOES have a man at center frame and the film is really all about how ken's feelings are treated by the barbies (with the 'punishment' for the barbies treating the kens like shit being subjugated to their own oppression for a few hours - creating a weird implication that oppression will be solved if we oppress the oppressors, but only a little bit, and then they'll realise How Wrong They Were).

the criticism of barbie and what she'd done to the self esteem of generations of young girls is handwaived into a single scene that focuses on how barbie of all people feels about it - in a way that reads like barbie's making a fucking beauty guru tier apology. those weren't tiny criticisms but now mattel can claim that the barbie movie addressed it by making barbie sad at the accusations. (also the criticisms were very much related to barbie's thinness and whiteness, but that was erased for a more 'YOU'RE NOT PERFECT' vague message)

barbie's 'i'm a real woman now!' moment is her going to a gynecology exam - it isn't bad on its own, but it's what it's used to symbolize. it's considered the point where barbie is a 'real woman', and equates real womanhood to having a vagina. that would've been one thing but the film was put out by Warner Bros, whose CEO lights up red in shinigami eyes and is the media company behind the continuation of the harry potter franchise long after rowling's hatred and bigotry became mass public knowledge.

so yeah. forgive me if this film strikes me as less feminist than both its predecessors mean girls and legally blonde AND princess and the pauper which had a trans cat or two in it

Gif Colouring Process | Ramking Set

There are various steps needed to adjust the colours of a gif. Good colouring can match tones of different shots, make colours look more true to life or cohesive, adjust so lighting is kinder to skintones and make scenes generally prettier to look at.

Because gifs allow for fewer colours than videos, it also involves prioritising which colours are needed in a scene and adjusting accordingly.

It can also be used for effects: subtle ones (like in like in gif 4: fading colours to highlight the focal characters in a photograph), or much more dramatic or stylised effects.

This is a tiny tiny glimpse of what gifmakers do when we refer to "colouring". 🖤
