Bruce: I thought they only had Laura?

Peter: No, no, they do. But they kind of like half-adopt everyone? Like, the Professor built extra housing near the mansion for them and a lot of the students hang out there instead of the school because it’s quieter. I’m a kit as far as Logan’s concerned. Laura says I was one of the first people he decided was Pack.

Tony: Kit? Pack?

Peter: Oh! He and Laura are Ferals. Mutants who are more animalistic. I kind of fit into that category but not entirely since I’m a mutate.

Bruce:.... Ok I'll admit this is fascinating want to elaborate more. What does it entail exactly to be a feral

Peter smiling: Ok so there are a spectrum of them in two separate categories, pray and predators. It's pretty much what you expect each group has traits that are more predator like or more prey like.

Tony:... ok

Peter: Now This is a very small subsection of mutants about 5%. Of that only 1%-1.5% survive to adulthood.

Clint:... Okay I didn't know that's statistic what the hell?

Peter shrugging: They usually die when they're kids and first mutate. Normally the more extreme or higher on the spectrum the more likely they die. Specifically predators because of the fight or flight instinct.

Natasha: that makes sense kid with claws or teeth get corner cuz they have no idea what's happening?

Tony: It's like cornering a wild animal.

Peter: If they lash out and kill someone you think they care about taking their life considering they are a mutant?

Bruce slightly horrified: and if they ran off a kid that young can't survive by themselves

Peter: Exactly that's why most of them don't survive. Logan is an anomaly. If it wasn't for his healing factor he would have died when he was a child. He and thus Laura are pretty much the most extreme you can get on the predator side.

Tony: Wait pause what is Laura get lumped in there? Doesn't mutation not carry alone genes? Isn't it just randomized and luck of the draw if you're like your parents?

Steve and Bucky: She's a clone

Peter: Anyway ferals usually take on traits of a specific animal though there are some general things. Logan in general though really is a Wolverine. He growls, purrs, scents people and things, and has fangs to name a few things.

Natasha: It's a bit freaky

Tony: Okay. Okay. deep breath Summing all of this up to make sure I’ve got this right. Cap and Buck served with Logan in World War II because he’s like 200 years old now. He’s also a feral mutant who has animalistic tendencies and claws that come out of his hands. Laura is a clone of him except her claws are two on each hand and one on each foot and she’s female. Logan is somehow married to THE most notorious and inappropriate mercenaries in the world who is “not that bad and is good with kids.” And they both think of you as part of their family.

Peter: nodding Yeah, pretty much~ Got it in one, Mr. Stark~

Pepper: calling out from the kitchen And Peter has been hanging out with them and the students at Xavier’s.

I was forced to watch kids cartoon called Sheriff Labrador and I'm too embarrassed to admit that I kinda enjoyed it (⁠-⁠_⁠-⁠;⁠)

Long chatter below (it is long. I'm not joking)

So umm basically it's a Babybus YouTube cartoon and it is exactly the quality you expect from youtube kids show

It's not secretly good or something the whole family can enjoy like "Bluey". It's just okay and yet here I am dumping bunch of art about it, idk how this works ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

My sibling made me watch it and while I'm at it let me tell you about some things I actually enjoyed about this cartoon

Umm first of all if I watched this cartoon as a kid I just know I would've had a huge crush on this fucking cartoon Labrador, he's just the type I really liked (still do) — responsible, perfect, good at everything adult in kids show (the other character close to this is Sportacus from "Lazytown" which I did watch as a child and did have a crush on this sports dude so that checks out)

Second — the themes. This cartoon teaches kids safety so I expected some basic stuff like "Don't play with fire" or "Don't cross the road on red". And I was actually surprised when the first ever episode I saw was about food delivery and how you should always read reviews before ordering something online. Idk maybe I haven't watched modern kids show in a while but I think it's cool that they talk about that kind of stuff (and ! there was also an episode about AI face swapping! wow modern problems ig)

Also an episode that stuck with me was about a pool. I saw the video preview and thought "yeah pools.. don't run.. don't drown.. basic stuff" and while later I discovered that they have an episode about safety at pools, this specific episode was about something else. It taught children to never go with strangers anywhere and never let them touch your private parts. The episode literally showed a bad character grabbing the child and taking him away, then the child was rescued when police came in with the words "Don't touch the child, that's illegal!"

I'm writing this not because I "criticize" the show for it, I actually think it's important to show what actually can happen to you if you go with strangers, it was just a surreal experience when I watched two cartoon police dogs arresting a cartoon representation of an actual pedophile and then hearing this said character cry and say "I'm sorry, I won't do this again!" Like...wow... I fucking hope you won't because you're going to cartoon jail forever 💀

I also was really surprised when I discovered the show actually has small fandom on tiktok let's goo??

who would've thought such high maintenance android would end up getting his hands wiping some kid's piss and puke off the floor, his rumoured high intelligence are nought but just for teaching mere children's knowledge. not like he can do anything, his owner need his help. it's in the contract. letting these tiny creatures pestering him, their tiny hands all over him or his tail or his ears. or having them fight to sit on his uncomfortably hard thighs when it's lunch time.

but recently, he began to experience an unexplainable series of lagging in his speech pattern. his eyes begin to blur at times. simple tasks beginning to feel like a burden as his head would dangerously overheat, even the kids could see the strain he's baring from how much he's scrunching his brows.

a sound of something stirring. everytime he heard the sound, his eye would hurt so bad as if it's scratching to come out of his eye socket. his students would just childishly claim it was a migraine, telling him he should rest more. popup notifications begin to emerge, warning him of a foreign third party running his system. multiple non permitable access to his memory drive, he just now noticed that there are viruses corrupting his system. how could this be possible? he never turned his antivirus software off. is there a malpractice happening without him knowing?

and it doesn't take long for him to figure out the problem.

the images, the videos, continuously sent to a certain someone he could not mention as that will breach the TOS. even thinking this is already straining his thought process to the point of overheating.

and with that same eyes, he continues to stare at the messy mess. nonchalantly showing off his bloodied hand with bits of what could be assumed as remnants of skin and flesh to the watching eyes behind the screen. it is a bit dark, but they are not stupid.

especially not after the screen went temporarily blocked before it shows the face of a certain android, specks of blood can be seen on his face.

don't you think delivery guys got away quite easily?

you can be one of those annoying old men who think the whole world is their enemy and will not hesitate to shoot you for wanting to get your ball that accidentally got into his lawn, but will let his gate open for limited access to his front door if you're his delivery guy. well, as long as they keep their bloodthirsty dogs on leash at least. humans are not to be trusted.

maybe it's not the greatest job, but it's one that he enjoys doing. the rush to get everything on time, the competition to stay on top, the joy that comes with being able to see new places and faces. ruggie enjoys it all. can machines even feel joy? he may have no answer to that, but it is something akin to that, if he could describe it.

or at least, that's what the old lady told him. truly, how could she describe human emotion on him, a robot? do humans really have to push their human perspective on everything? that's why they keep getting themselves in stupid situation for being too emotionally attached to objects. but then that's why those heartslabyul ai software is all the hit right now.

the old lady is kind. really! she always greet him whenever he came to the area for deliveries. asking him about his day, about the weather, if he's working too hard. such young man shouldn't get his skin burned by the sun! she'd say. grandma, don't you think your concern is misplaced? worry about yourself first, instead of this young roaring machine. I'm still full of energy, and carefully oiled. my gears won't rust away anytime soon, and I'm not getting busted that easily. not while there's still people who need his service.

the wide, soulless eye staring at him, pleading for that magical key to the world of happiness. to see such unhappiness, and him having the power to change it, oh how thrilling! he couldn't control the grin from widening!

he loves this job, it helps more people to be happy.

for a guard dog, jack model is certainly quite a character. not in a bad way, it's just funny to see this over 190cm android tensing up for his monthly checkups. even while sitting down, he still manage to tower over the mechanic's smaller figure. his ears flatten whenever their hands reaching the inside of him for any loose bolts, quietly whimpering to himself whenever they bumped his circuits with their fragile fingers while checking him up. his sensory should've been turned off, so it's certainly not "pain" he's experiencing.

it's difficult for him too. human, can't you see? the way you're talking to him, the way you're handling him, how you'd rub circles around his knuckles whenever he'd had a nasty fight with aggressors, or when you'd aggressively scratch his head and ears after every patch ups with them, cooing him with "good boy"s and "good job"s. all while smelling like oil and chemical, the clinking sound of equipments softly echoing in the workshop, his ears catching up lowly moans of other androids under their care, the buzzing noise of fading life all around the two of them.

how romantic, hell he could imagine himself getting a kiss too from how much his brain is replaying all the romantic scenarios on tv dramas he'd play BEFORE coming here. oh please do, just a peck on my head is all I want. touch my cheeks and pull them lightly, what I'd do just to feel you gracing me with your marks on me. those damned lines play by itself on his mind as he's staring directly at their face. taking notes of how their face scrunched when he's not staying still to their liking, or at how their shadowed figure igniting a certain scene that got his eyes drooping. his tail lightly drumming the chair he's sitting on, the artificial fur sweeping their pants tenderly.

Extended Author's Notes for Left Behind Ch4.

"I'm not making any decisions right now." Caitlyn, you're such a fucking liar. I love you so much.

Caitlyn really needs to get some better coping methods. I'm of the idea that she never properly learned how to grieve - when she lost her mom, she was immediately manipulated into turning her grief into a weapon to be wielded against someone else's enemies. And she didn't really lose anyone else until the Purge. So she's running on the only thing she knows: turn the grief into anger and use it to protect yourself from more grief. In this case, it actually does keep her alive. But that doesn't mean it's healthy.

"She hasn't changed that much; she probably won't have a lot of time before someone recognizes the missing Sheriff Kiramman." - This is pretty much the main reason I didn't go back through and account for Caitlyn's lost eye. It would make her so incredibly recognizable. That's me being lazy.

Caitlyn's outfit as Ghost is actually several asymmetrical layers of varying shades of grey. I think black would actually be too obvious, even at night, and the uneven layers help break up the human form to keep her harder to see.

Caitlyn doesn't take anything from her apartment. She doesn't have anything TO take. :(

I know I said this last chapter, but I LOVE writing Caitlyn and Petra's conversations. They're so fun.

Vi, my beloved. She just won't give up. I think that, even now, she's a little too selfless to let go. She doesn't want to live like this, but she won't let herself die on the chance that she might be leaving someone behind. I'm love her. so. much.

This team that Vi and her handler are working with are kinda inspired by a D&D party. A group of strange individuals who bounce around, working for whoever will pay them. They work for the Baroness sometimes. They also work for other Chem-Barons and gang leaders and the like.

The Feline Woman (and all of her companions) are just OCs. They're not based on any other characters. They're pretty much just one-off characters, but I DID decide to bring the Feline Woman back briefly later.

Both of our girls have trauma around fire, for obvious reasons. Interestingly, I ended up using fire and references to it so much that it kinda became a motif in this story.

The neighbors not intervening in any way is to show just how much control the Chen-Barons and gangs have over the common people. The fear of being the next example keeps them from helping, which keeps them divided.

I killed Tobias and I am going to take every opportunity to painfully remind everyone of that.

The kid that Vi is forced to kill here was probably about ten or eleven when the Purge happened. He doesn't recognize Vi. But anyone who happened to look outside during any of this attack might have - she was the Sheriff's partner, a rather public figure, and definitely recognizable. And that's the whole point.

Could Vi have ended the boy's suffering in one hit? If she was at full strength, sure. Easily, if she hit him in the right place. But they're not keeping her at full strength, because they don't want to risk it AND because they don't need to. She's serving her purpose perfectly as is.

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

This got me thinking quite a bit because there's almost nothing in the canon that I don't love or at least like about him (and what I don't like I just forget about it lmao) but I think one thing that i dont like that much is his zodiac sign, like yeah I KNOW that Cancer is a water sign and stuff but what can I say? I always wanted it to be Pisces so we could have the iconography of the fish, STILL, I like the idea of Haru crab, so I don't really dislike it that much but huh ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Another thing that I dislike about the canon is more like something that I dislike that the canon doesn't have, and it's basically little to no details about his relationship with his parents and his daily life with his grandmother. PLS KYOANI IM BEGGING YOU JUST A LITTLE MORE OF IT AAAAAHHGHHH

As the book nerd that I am, I would say in a book, but in theory there are already the High Speed novels and the novelization of the anime, so, following my theater kid heart, I would put Haru in a musical (actually all of Free! in a musical IT DESERVES ONE!!) I think his songs could be so gentle (and a rinharu duet just makes my heart go crazyyyy)

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

HMMMMH, my immediate response would be "A boy in the water" from the Free! OST (WHAT A FANTASTIC SONG AAAAAAH) but out of the music of the series, I think Haru makes me thing either of "Sober Up" by AJR or directly the "Sacabambaspis song" The two sides of Haru that I adore hehhahsk

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

OK SO, I hc that when he was little, he didnt had a TV at home, only his grandmother's old radio. He would not mind that much about any kind of music in particular but Grandma Nanase loved old rock and roll japanese bands from the 50s/60s and she would have gotten Haru used to listening to stations with lots of old school songs. I imagine them even dancing, Haru not quite knowing how to move with rhythm and his grandma holding his little hands 🥺. I think that his liking for that kind of music would stay with him as an adult, and sometimes he likes to dance to old songs when hes alone and cleans his house.

(Hold onto your hoola hoops, folks, I wrote this at 2am after a paper that fought me tooth and nail, so if it makes no sense I'm sorry 😁)

Okay. I can't stop thinking we're in for some Eddie whump. (The whumper in me says we're overdue pero ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ that's beside the point). Anyway. The foreshadowing has been in the making since 4x14, and with them discussing that arc so much, I can't help feeling like they'll bring up something about it. (Under the cut, cause this gets a bit long)

This show doesn't often leave storylines open, so addressing the will again is inevitable. But what would prompt it? Eddie thinks Buck understands it (he doesn't), so why would they need to bring it up again?

They promoted Chris/ Gavin along with the main cast. No other kids were. So why?

You could argue the 7x01 storyline was the reason behind it, but I don't think that line is completely done. The premieres usually foreshadow some events through the season. Bringing up Shannon not only gives new viewers a glimpse into the Diaz boys and their trauma, it sets up something they'll revisit. She's been mentioned a few times throughout the season, and having her be a part of the guilt storyline makes perfect sense and is absolutely beautiful.

Eddie still holds this guilt about their relationship. All these if onlys. He's come a long way in his healing and growth, but it isn't linear, and that loss will never completely heal. He's still looking for that magic, that deep love he had (and still has) for her. He can't move past the guilt he feels about it all.

A coma dream of his own, or some kind of hallucinations, would be the perfect way to get him to forgive himself. How we get there? I'm not 100% sure. But I have some ideas!

1. Trapped dads (thank Anna)

@lover-of-mine can explain it so much better, but we've been rooting for this for ages. We thought they were going to drown Buck this season, but it doesn't look like they're going that way. So, we thought about flipping the scenario. Eddie is the one gravely injured, not Buck. Aborted confession? Possibly! Buck being the sole parent while Eddie is in the hospital? Absolutely. It would bring about so many possibilities. Eddie wouldn't confess to Buck as he was dying, he wouldn't make Buck carry that. But Buck might confess to Eddie as Eddie is dying so he knows he'll die loved. When he saves Eddie (desperate CPR when???) they have to live with what was said in the moment. Even better if Eddie is in a coma afterwards. Bonus points if they're still in their relationships through it all. Mutual pining anyone? Buck will be taking care of Chris in the midst of it all, possibly revealing to T and M that the will exists. The season ends with Eddie awake and healing, knowing how Buck feels. He of course won't say anything because they're still dating other people. Allows for a LOT of pining through s8.

2. Hallucinations (thanks Saturn)

I hadn't really considered this possibility, but @steadfastsaturnsrings brought up a great idea. I tried to find out the specific episode that takes place in the desert, but as far as I've found, they haven't specified. I'm assuming 7x07. Since 7x07 is Ghost of a Second Chance, Shannon could be appearing in that one. And if 7x07 is the one in the desert, then there's a lot of possibilities there too. Heatstroke or snake bite... either could cause hallucinations. Since the writer for 7x07 is likely Taylor Wong (wrote 6x15) then some Eddie and Shannon angst is definitely possible. Any way we look at this, the will could factor in. Eddie can't care for Chris, so Buck steps in. I think something happening in the desert could add some visions focused around his service and we get some very Eddie Begins type scenes that maybe show more positive calls between Eddie and Shannon. We could also possibly get a callback to 6x15 and Eddie's fear of dying alone (and having Buck there with him would prove him wrong. Wishful thinking).

3. God only knows

He gets trapped in a collapsed building? T involved? Sinkhole? Some kind of blood loss? We don't know! But I do know that Juan Carlos Coto usually writes huge episodes for Bobby, Eddie, and Buck (3x09, 4x05, 5x13, 5x16, 6x10 just to name a few). And since he's writing 7x08, which is titled Step Nine, the guilt and Shannon could happen there too. I mentioned in another post (which I can't find, naturally) that Step Nine in AA means making amends, no matter what. So, while Bobby is likely making amends with Amir, Eddie is making amends with himself, Shannon, and his guilt surrounding it. (There's a possible firepilot storyline there, depending on how 7x06 goes but I won't get into that rn).

Any way it goes, Shannon appearing, especially appearing older, will show Eddie all those if onlys he's been dwelling on. It will show him how different his life could've been (parallel to 6x11) and it will show him he hasn't failed. He has nothing to feel guilty about. He's not going to find what he had with Shannon. But he can find something just as deep and meaningful. And it's something Shannon (his subconscious) has to show him. Something he has to figure out on his own, like he usually does. No outside force is going to push him past it, no matter how hard he tries.

Perhaps in that dream/ hallucination, he'll realize he's not a commitment phobe, he's not a failure, he's not a sinner doomed to hell. He's human, and he's found love he's not allowing himself to feel.

Feelings realization (or more acceptance of those feelings) and some delicious pining is imminent. How we get to it? I'm not sure. They usually repeat kinds of injuries so I'm leaning more towards trapping him somewhere, but I love the idea of a snake bite. It's happening to someone, based on the fact they had dangerous reptiles on set (or a prop for it). Any way it happens, it'll be amazing, especially if this happens with it.

The post you reblogged about Jancy not being as caring as the fandom suggests is so spot on. I want to add that in s2, they even actively endanger them by going out of their way to expose the lab. While I already have frustrations with the plot itself (aka it being not realistic that Nancy could just smuggle in a recorder undetected), everyone in the fandom overlooks how dangerous it was. Not only to Jancy but everyone involved. Jancy painted targets on their families. These people killed for less. They actively endangered their loved ones, including the kids, without telling anyone what they want to do. Plus, they put the rest of the town in danger after still going through with their plan despite seeing the vines and the gate, which nobody was equipped to deal with. They didn't know about El. You could even argue thanks to them, the Russians had it easy in s3 because nobody was there. Maybe the gate would have been opened any other way, but still, thanks to Jancy getting the lab shut down, nobody was able to step in. In the end, it did more harm than good. Yes, justice for Barb, but what about the other living people, their families included? This move was incredibly risky, stupid, selfish, and dangerous, and it only worked because of plot armor.

S2 Nancy and Jonathan have not thought out the ramifications of anything they do and I think that's the most teenager thing for them to do <3 the Duffers did not think about what their actions would mean if the a plot with will wasn't happening, or what jancy thought would happen based on what they knew.

The lab and Owens were also helping will (or...trying to?) So Jonathan doesn't really have a reason to tear them down? Just going off what he knows and then what he and Nancy learn about the gate still being open, why would they go through with it until they were sure their hometown was safe? Until they knew their families were safe?

Nancy's need to get justice and bring closure to Barb's parents is noble, but what were the big picture consequences she expected to happen once the lab was shut down but the gate wasn't closed? Like legit we the audience know El is alive and well, and that the Upside Down is back and causing trouble, but Jon and Nancy don't! Their whole S2 plot is unfortunately influenced by writing decisions made with full knowledge of the rest of the plot and how their sidequest fits into that instead of figuring out what the characters actually know and what they would do with it. It doesn't make sense to do what they did knowing what they did, and unfortunately that makes them look reckless and thoughtless.

Tbh I think the Russians were already moving in before S3 so idk if the lab was actually doing anything to stop, but they probably would have noticed the power outages and investigated that? But the lab was also mostly useless and got people killed so. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Hii! Thanks a lot! Haha I'll be more than happy to tell you something about them ^^ They are the main characters from my comic Paranormalne Przedmieścia (Supernatural Suburbs): Marcin, Nadia and Jacek (+Adam)

this is going to be like super long, so I'm putting it under the cut. You have been warn >:]

Marcin is a gloomy silly lad who likes listening to goth music, being mysterious and loves everything involving paranormal! Especially ghosts! He'd love to document ghosts from his local area (wasn't really successful so far). He has a younger sister :))

His parents have trouble connecting with him and wish Marcin could get some 'more productive' hobby. He's very insecure because of that obviously and it reflects badly on his self worth. Dad tried to get him into photography (his own hobby) once but it backfired horribly so now Marcin is a photography hater out of spite >:[

He was really isolated throughout elementary school and made his very first friends now, in middle school. Those friends being Nadia and Jacek c:

Nadia is a nerdy emo girl who writes pretty successful paranormal blog. She and Marcin obviously connected over their shared interest in that. She likes bad poetry and fashion. Nadia's kind of shy when ineracting with people but often comes across as sarcastic. She has a mysterious boyfriend with whom she often breaks up and gets back together, but neither Marcin nor Jacek had ever seen him (does he even exist? ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯)

When faced with real ghosts she's very enthusiastic about it. Would like to help people having ghost problems, even if mostly to just be a 'ghost detective'.

She's also been isolated because of her dad's frequent job changes. She's seen by her peers as a weird emo kid and she doesn't do anything to challenge their views on her.

Jacek is a cheerful and straightforward guy. He loves to skate. He's a bit older than the other two, having skipped a year. He often can't keep up with homework on top of his chores and helping his mom at home. Jacek has a lot of siblings and is one of the oldest, so he often looks after the younger ones. His grandmother also helps them, so they spend a lot of time together c: he gets the hottest area gossip from her.

He doesn't seem like it but Jacek is really perceptive. He's the first one to pick up that Marcin was hiding something. And what was he hiding? Well.. Here's where Adam comes into play. (Here's more about the story itself than the character, but it's just context)

Adam was a boy who loved photography. He was a promising member of a photo club both in his elementary and middle school. He often participated in various competitions and even got first place in some. One of them was this really big competition (for all the schools in the country), but for this one he got first place post mortem. Adam died in an accident in an abandoned house, before they announced the winners.

Marcin was in his first year in the same middle school as Adam. They didn't know eachother, Marcin only knew of him because they were talking about his death all over at school. He didn't care that much, but got pretty envious over Adam's passion to do things he liked and being rewarded for it.

During vacation after Adam's death, Marcin was isolated once again. Jacek was helping at home at all times and Nadia went overseas to see her grandparents. Marcin sat alone in his room, only sometimes hearing his parent's worried complaints. Being in a really dark place he came up with and idea: to get a ghost take over his body, so that someone can get a better use of his life for him. And the first candidate for this was Adam. However, during the summoning something went wrong and instead of being trapped within Marcin's body, Adam got trapped in a camera that was being used as a lure for his soul.

From then their weird acquaintance begins. They don't really like eachother at first. Marcin is self centered and doesn't really care about Adam himself, and Adam is very angry about his situation. They are trying to undo this mess and in the meantime discover that the camera that Adam is possessing can take ghost photos. Because of that, passions of both boys combine and they have some common ground for friendship to begin.

Marcin is hiding everything about Adam from his friends. He's not really ready to face them about the summer he almost lost his life or the ghost of one talented boy.

Okay I think that's all I can think of for now. I hope there's not many mistakes and it's understandable. ^^ I really like this story and the characters. I'm happy you loved their vibe, and hope it was interesting to read!! Have a great day or night <3

Heh, and he gets summoned to take care of a kid. And not just any kid... It's Koyanskaya.

And the (what feels like a last second) reason why she looks like Tamamo: Amaterasu came by (Why? Who tf knows) and granted her a life.

Anyway, this is now done. It's... not as awful as many make it out to be, but this chapter definitely has problems. It feels just so rushed. I know that story chapters and event stories usually have months to "wait in the oven", so to speak, but Tunguska felt like it only had weeks to prepare.

I'm not sure if it's because:

1) Sakurai also wrote the Christmas event and also this one, therefore writing two things back-to-back

2) Covid still causing some amount of trouble (remember, this originally came out two years ago on JP)

3) Sakurai was beginning to write Fate: Lost Einherjar and possibly being roped to be one of the writers for Samurai Remnant, and also possibly beginning to write the story for Summer 7

4) Some sort of combination to the above or some other reason

Like. I'm way more curious to what went on behind the scenes for Tunguska than I am for any of the other story chapters. Give me the goddamn tea.

Any positives? Beyond that it does end (albeit not in a satisfying way), Taigong Wang's nice, and the soundtrack introduced here is good too. And that's kinda it. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

And besides how rushed it feels, where do I begin with the negatives? The way Ibuki is given semi-amnesia, but the only characterization is "the party girl who is also the brute"? The two mounts who add nothing to the story? Why are there two halves of Koyanskaya now running around in Chaldea? Several characters repeating themselves ad nauseum- scratch that, that's sadly a Sakurai writing tick.

And oh man, Dobrynya and how Koyan came to be. I absolutely despise FGO's take on Dobrynya. Not only because it's yet another case of "it's this person, but it's actually that person!" (this case being the wife Natasha), but her design holds nothing to either of them - and what I mean by that is that her design is almost literally a recolor of her illustrator's FF14 OC. I am not kidding with that. And while that isn't particularly new, Raita did that before with Raikou. But here's the thing, Raikou - even with her "I can't take this character seriously because of her assets" design, she still fits in with where she came from in a more fantasy way. Dobrynya doesn't. And don't get me started with her coloration (oh yes, I want to be snow-blinded by a character's art /s).

And Koyanskaya's backstory... On one hand, being the embodiment of many animal souls because of a natural event (the Tunguska explosion) is a really interesting concept for a Servant, and I kinda want to see other kinds of concepts in the future. On the other hand, how it connects to her love/hate relationship with humanity is a load of crap. "Oh, the animals mistook the sound of the explosion for gunfire-" let me tell you how bullshit that sounds. Animals can be damn intelligent. They know what humans are. Several of them know in what way we do. They also can tell before any of us know when something is wrong, whether it be reacting to something that we don't see or when something like a volcano is going to go off. I don't know if the whole "animals mistook the explosion for gunfire" is something Sakurai herself wrote, or is something that Nasu wrote who just passed it onto her, but it really is just a bullshit reasoning for why Koyanskaya hates humanity. You could've made her the embodiment of something that humanity actually was responsible for, like Chernobyl for example. Just. Why.

I plan to get through Traum later this year, and then after that I'll be waiting for... LB7... Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay...

SONIC SYMPHONY!!!

i went to the sonic symphony today!!!! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! I personally think they should've said somewhere that the merch stand didn't take cash bc i almost missed I Am All Of Me standing in line— I'LL TALK ABOUT THAT IN A SECOND— because if i had known i wouldn't be able to pay for anything i wouldn't have bothered getting in line but whatevs ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

i literally cried. the opening STH 1 medley made me almost SOB.

me and my friend were squawking about tails and how cute he is!!

during the colors portion the audience did the 'GOOD!' 'GREAT!' 'AWESOME!' 'OUTSTANDING!' 'AMAZING!' and it made me so happy :)

AND OF COURSE the 'here we go!!' for unleashed!!! so cool!!! then i almost cried again at the frontiers medley lol.

Ty Christian (the vocalist) said NC had a sick heavy metal scene—which as a baby metalhead that made me happy—so i was headbanging to hell and back during the frontiers songs!! i didn't know all the lyrics (esp to I'm Here since ive tried to avoid listening to it til when i beat frontiers) but it was sick as hell!!

then, they said I'm Here was the last song, so after, they left the stage. me and my friend were like, no way, no way they're not going to play live and learn that would be a crime!! i KNEW in the back of my mind they were gonna do an "encore" type, so i just kept cheering and shouting for live and learn—

THEN THEY CAME BACK OUT!!! AND THEY DID ESCAPE FROM THE CITY!!! ofc when it got to the "live and learn" line i screamed it lol.

THEN THEY PLAYED IT!!!! LIVE AND LEAAAARNNN!!!!! It was awesome. my voice kept breaking but it didn't matter. my feet were hurting and my arms were hurting and my back hurt and i ran out of water but it didn't matter. because i got to see awesome musicians passionately play music from the sonic games, in a room full of people that loved sonic just as much as i did, and it was so worth almost collapsing in the middle of the stairwell. because i got to be there with my friend. and with other people just like me. it was so nice to be able to unmask for three hours and be my full, autistic, sonic lovin, self. because i knew i was safe with sonic fans (bc i know all y'all autistic too /not mean).

anyway, apparently we were a sold out show??? so they did an acoustic One Way Dream cover—a song i actually didn't know that well, so i just got to listen to them, which was incredible :)

and then, it was over! i was light headed, sweaty, my feet hurt, i could hardly hear—or speak, but i was so, so happy.

then me and my friend got back in the merch line! and... they didn't take cash. and all i had was cash. so i didn't get my shirt lol i could tell the guy at the booth felt bad for me :') it was okay though! i can order it online if i want it bad enough lol.

and i got my light stick!!!!! my friend also had a friend there and he got us the sticks (which i am eternally grateful for—even though i wasn't able to actually use it during the show, hopefully they'll come back next year!!) so hell yeah for friendship!!!!

i cannot stress enough how nice it was to be with so many people like me, it was so refreshing to not have to pretend to be "normal"

They're all very confused by the relationship between Soap and Ghost. Carol clocks it as do the Dixon's but everyone else is kind of like 'huh good friends' and if you go the girls try desperately to get with Soap.

Another thought. CDC someone knocks on their door (Lori or Andrea maybe) (Shane's reaction would also be funny but he's trying too well.... Anyway) and Soap comes to the door with just shorts on.

Ok so the Captain makes his way into the camp Roach and Ghost next to him. All of the girls are just drooling because hello?! Exotic Scottish man that just oozes sex appeal. He doesn't even bat an eye at them. Merle about flips shit because HOLY THAT'S FUCKING CAPTAIN MACTAVISH THE GUY WHO STOPED WW3! He tells Daryl and both of them try desperately to get on the soldiers good side.

The first peep out of Ed gets him threatened and beaten within an inch of his life Ghost was restrained before it got worse. Mainly because the civilians didn't need to hear about how Ghost has and will again use someone's intestines to hang them. Roach knows EVERYTHING that goes on around camp. He's the one that set up the defense lines helping the Dixons.

He knows Lori and Shane are fucking had actually caught them and reported back. They just ingest information and use it for future leverage. It's not necessarily for blackmail but I mean if it happens to be used as such ¯⁠⁠⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠⁠/⁠¯ Ghost and Roach have no shame when it comes to each other and the Captain they will cuddle right up and make themselves comfortable.

Roach stole Carol and she now stays near them and Roach insist on teaching her BSL. Shane got pissed one day when MacTavish took over directing the camp only for the captain to just drag him completely for his incompetence.

The world isn't going to get better It's only going to get worse. And Shane needs to stop acting otherwise. Dale probably hates them Glenn is in awe. One day when Riley was helping Daryl butcher whatever animal he dragged in they bonded and became inseparable. Two sides of the same coin honestly those two.

Roach is with Gleen all the time teaching him survival tricks because they are also very similar. And at the end of the day with no care they all curl up in their tent like puppies and sleep. I can see Rick and MacTavish being good friends. Also CDC absolutely doesn't happen MacTavish doesn't even let them Consider that as a possible thing.

He knows full well that place is fucked. Just directs them towards the military base in the middle of bum fuck nowhere they had been placed at. Everyone in the camp suspects Roach Ghost and MacTavish are together but it's never confirmed. Not until they are somewhere like a storage locker place sleeping for the night and MacTavish exists the next morning covered in marks.

Anon!!! I'm so sorry it take this long to answer your ask, I totally forget to log on on Tumblr 🤦 I'm so so sorry o)-(

But finally MikaSasha!! I love them, as a couple or close friends! In the canon, I imagine them growing close after the scouts reachs the sea. I think at first they're awkward toward each other. Mikasa was always with the boys, Sasha either (of course she used to be friends with Ymir and Historia, but yeah, she will never have them close anymore). Mikasa don't know how to approach with other girls-while training days, it was the other girls who talks to her first-, and Sasha wasn't really an expert in relationships. Perhaps, Sasha feels like Mikasa is so strong and smart she didn't think on talk more than just the necessary with her.

But then one day they're living in the same room. There's no other girls around like when they used to be trainees, no other person they could be talking to avoid each other. The reason they're still this awkward none of them knows. But as soon as the first one starts to talk (they don't remember who started), is like they have been friends for YEARS. And it's so natural for them to talk about how they see the world and how they see themselves, that sharing their deep secrets become só natural. Sasha knows Mikasa's tragic past, and she doesn't hesitate to talk about her own egoistic feelings, the fear that surrounded Dauper when Maria fell. She ask for Mikasa forgiveness (how could Sasha be so egoistic when so many people perished and die in such horror attack?), but the girl don't have to say anything to Sasha knowing she's already been forgiven.

Since then, they become each other confidants. I like to think that Sasha take Mikasa with her when she's going to visit her family, and they all loves her. Arthur takes the kids with him to hunt and of course Sasha drags Mikasa with them. To Mika, it's like the past, when she would hunt with her father, and when the whole family sits to eat, it's like Mikasa's other past, when Carla used to call them and everything was a mess of laughs and talks, just like Sasha's family. Seeing another family felts like being part of it too. Sasha does everything she can to Mikasa felt like a Braus too. :')

Now, as a modern AU, I can see Sasha being the first one to approach Mikasa. Everybody has goosebumps about the goth girl who is always glued with some dark book, but Sasha is like ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ what could happen, right?

Sasha probably starts to compliment her eyeliner, after all she can't even apply mascara without turning into a panda, so it would be nice if Mikasa could help her with a tip or two.

Their friendship start with makeup tips, until Mikasa finds out Sasha likes visual kei and it's a HUGE fan of Versailles. Since then, they start to hang out together even more, going to those really weird and highly questionable places Mikasa knows (surprisingly a good place to find rare CD’s and out of stock albums). Their favorite places to visit is karaoke, where they can sing Versailles, The Cure, and Sisters of Mercy, while eating a lot of goodies. And, of course, shopping! Sasha it's always trying to make Mikasa wear something pink (Sasha favorite color), while Mika is always trying to make Sasha do a new piercing. Who knows who's gonna give up first? 👀

my dumbass just realized i never told you the headcanon and just fuckin dipped i am so sorry dnnfnfn

i have a headcanon that for a really really long time, winnie wouldnt always eat. she wanted to make sure mary and sarah were safe and taken care of and, since they probably didnt have a whole lot of food outside of whatever animal (or kid) they were able to catch and anything they couldve grown on their own (seeing as they were banished from town, i dont think any of the townsfolk would be too keen on helping them)

300-ish years later, the trio make it to this time period and manage to stay here. it obvs takes a while to get accustomed to everything, and for a long while, winnie's still more worried about mary and sarah. eventually, things start to get better. she still gets worried over her sisters (i dont think she'd ever stop worring about them, theyre the onky family she has left), no one's trying to go after them, and theyre able to actually get food (mostly from me helping out with shopping (cuz i dong thibk theyve been inside an actual store before and i know full well all three are gonna wander off on me xbfnfnn) and helping cook different things too) so she slowly winds up with a bit of a tummy. maybe winnie doesnt really realize that shes getting a tummy until either mary and sarah point it out or notices that some of her clothes are starting to get a lil snug in spots.

Like there's the dinner with Michael and the boyfriend and the kids and bathena (and then bathena gets engaged the next episode lol) that I kinda wanna argue you can parallel to outside looking in but I will have to rewatch both scenes again to make sure lol and well, the episode is very much a madney begins in a sense, we see the friendship and they talk about Maddie not being ready yet and we have a lot of parallels to draw if they are going that direction, even more with the whole repeat names and the Thomas/Tommy thing yk? Okay, that's what I thought. So doing the trapped dads thing could definitely have a confession, and they could possibly combine the car crash and Thomas and Mitchell, at least in terms of how Buck sees love. And like you said, if Eddie's the one in worse condition, he's not going to tell Buck and let him live with that forever. Buck would tell Eddie, just so he'd know he died being loved (I didn't tear up writing that. At all).

Given the fact Buck, Actually had such a focus on Madney, it kinda makes sense for 7x06 to have a Buddie focus. We haven't even seen Chim at his own bachelor party yet! With Madney in 2x08, we get to see how they communicate (Chim spam texts lol), how well they know each other (her wine order), the karaoke, the buff-fridays thing, and Buck calling them out on being oblivious. The fact we're getting the same colors and the thing with their arms around each other is INSANITY. Even more so considering Maddie and Eddie have so many similarities. Still haven't figured out the point of Eddie in pink, we'll just have to see there. (I think I'm having thoughts on that but now I need to look at 7x01 again. Maybe the pink is tied to Eddie specifically right now. I need to find some coherent thoughts on that lol).

I just thought of something. Athena struggling with accepting changes in the family sounds oddly familiar... Chris broke a salad bowl over Eddie dating again. Would he have similar emotions to finding out Buck and Tommy are together? Or, a step further, if he somehow figures out how Buck and Eddie feel about each other? It's kind of a stretch but ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

With the Outside Looking In parallel, it's possible. I'd have to watch and see.

7x06 could be a Buddie begins in a sense. They're practically attached at the hip in all the promos, the karaoke thing, and God knows what else we'll see. I'm all for an *almost* happening, just not a cheating storyline, no thanks. The almost would push them to think whether or not they're ready, and they aren't- at least not Eddie considering Marisol and the whole guilt thing. OH! An almost would pile onto that!

And it's perfect for someone to point out their feelings. Anyone watching them could spot it, Maddie already has her suspicions, so does Tommy. Ideally, at least for me, I want Maddie to call Buck on it and Chim to Uno reverse and throw out "if you love him, tell him." It's not likely to happen in 7x06 specifically, but it could be very soon. Tommy's likely to mention something too, considering he barely knows them and still spotted it, but I would love for it to be Madney.

The Thomas/ Tommy thing is really bugging me. Are we going to see a Charlie or a Mitchell in the near future? I still haven't figured out Tommy's motives, it really makes no sense.

There's so many parallels we're getting, and probably A LOT more in 7x06. I already know it's gonna be one of those episodes that keepe me up all night lol.
