ND culture is getting happy from a hyperfixation feels like a panic attack. Like I genuinely feel like I'm about to explode. Its horrible and I can't stim enough to get myself through it. I struggle to breathe. I have a headache. It start to feel violent.

The emotional dysregulation doesn't discriminate what feelings it chooses to dysregulate

But when I vent to my friends about it they say "But I thought hyperfixations are supposed to be fun?" because of how watered down the term has become to just mean something you're really interested in

Sometimes I genuinely think of restricting my access to most of my interests because its that painful to go through every time I see something exciting

To this precious shark man whose dazzling smile has bewitched so many people. I truly adore seeing how much he has changed throughout the seasons, from an unfortunate turn from an adorable and cheerful kid to a sad depressed lost teen, to him gradually letting go of that edge and letting himself love his friends and be there for them, and gaining that same passion for his goals again and that contagious excitement.
