her father's daughter
prompt from @unstablereader: Barty getting a mini Treasure but then they pull a face that's all him "nonono don't pull that face, don't pull that face. You're mum worked hard to give you such a cute face, don't ruin it. Much better."
dad!Barty Crouch Jr x mum!reader and their daughter who is very much his [666 words]
CW: kid fic, kid uses a sign for 'more', Barty being very concerned about being a dad but obviously throws his whole pussy into it, fluff
Barty never really planned on being a dad. Hells, he never really planned on being a partner, either. But then he went and fell in love - also never part of the plan - and he somehow found himself being both.Â
More surprising, however? He bloody loved it.Â
He loved being a husband; he loved cooking meals for his wife, he loved running you baths, he loved hearing about your day as you drew soft circles into his back as the two of you drifted off to sleep, he loved starting every day of his life with you and ending it in much the same way. He even loved fighting with you, knowing that it meant he got to grovel on his hands and knees to beg for your forgiveness. He loved being wrong, he loved you being right. He loved love. He loved you.Â
And then you fell pregnant; not exactly planned but not entirely prevented either. Heâd been shocked, quite frankly. Terrified; who was he to be bringing a new life into the world? Didnât the world have enough arseholes in it? Didnât the world suffer from enough ill equipped fathers who had no business being parents raising a new generation of ill equipped fathers? Quite frankly, it was irresponsible of Barty. Selfish. Dangerous.Â
But, Barty was nothing if not a selfish bastard, and it was you; his wife, his love, his treasure, his entire world.Â
And if you were having a baby? Well, fuck, so was Barty.Â
And you were perfect, and beautiful, and graceful, and strong, and grew new life so elegantly that gods dammit, Barty didnât think heâd entirely mind if you fell pregnant again.Â
And then he met her; your daughter. His daughter.Â
Though looking at her sweet, angelic face, Barty wondered if he could take any credit for her perfection at all; she was your carbon copy. An exact replica. Your little mini me.Â
Barty was in love; she was perfect.Â
And then she had to go and prove that she was, indeed, her fathers daughter.Â
âSorry, my love, we canât have any more biscuits before dinner, okay?â He responded, smacking a kiss to her pudgy cheek before making to return his attention to the stove, only to notice his sweet, beautiful, perfect child pulling a face that did not suit her at all.Â
âWhoa, whoa. No, no. Donât do that.â Barty ordered, abandoning dinner to station himself in front of his daughter's highchair to level with her. âWhatâs that face for, hm?âÂ
She held her hand out in a sign signalling âmoreâ.Â
âYouâve had three, baby, and dinnerâs almost ready!âÂ
And then - his beautiful, sweet, perfect, angelic daughter - actually huffed as she crossed her arms across her little chest and rolled her eyes!
Could babies even do that?!
Clearly, seeing as his baby just did.Â
âNo, no; donât pull that face. Your mum worked so hard to give you such a cute face, yeah? Donât ruin it.â He nearly begged, pressing a finger to each corner of her mouth as he tried to pull it back up into a smile. âCome on, smile for daddy, give daddy a smile.â
His cooing (and begging) seemed to work when her face lit up, eyes bright and dimples making an appearance when she squealed and banged her hands against the table in delight.Â
âThereâs my girl.â He sighed in relief, tickling her and pressing another kiss to her cheek before returning to his intended task of preparing dinner. âListen, donât tell mum, but after dinner Iâll give you three more biscuits, okay?âÂ
âDonât tell mum what now?â You asked teasingly, suddenly standing behind your daughter's highchair and startling Barty into dropping the spoon into the sauce heâd been stirring.Â
âNothing! What? Salazarâs saggy balls. Hi treasure!â He rapid fired, eyebrows nearly disappearing into his hairline as he tried to evade your piercing and perceptive gaze.Â
His daughter's eyebrows were stationed high up on her forehead, too.Â
Yup, she was definitely her fatherâs daughter.

Could you please give headcanons on how Sylus and Rafayel would react if MC is used to people putting work before them? Like they grew knowing work comes first so if the guys have work commitments that take a long time or they go a while without talking, MC isnât bothered or phased. Theyâre just happy to be talking again, and when unable they just busy themselves. Hope this made sense. Kind if sad comfort vibes, lol.
Sylus is good at focusing but not to the point of ignoring you. He realises something's off when he tries to figure out what the last thing you said to him was and figures it's been a while since then. You're still quietly keeping to yourself, clearly patiently waiting for him to give you attention once again. He clears his throat, this time as a way of signalling that he's finally done. Your head perks up immediately at the sound, making him chuckle a little as he beckons for you to come over to him.
Whenever he finds himself too busy to text you it almost upsets him that you respond without seeming to mind it all too much. He wants you to be mad at him, or at least annoyed that he couldn't find time to get to his phone (which does not happen - his phone was taken away from him for a period of time). You reply as though it hasn't been a week since he last was able to speak to you, prompting him to ask if he's done something.
It takes a while for him to figure out exactly what's happening but when he sorts out that you think his work is more important to him than you he rolls his eyes. There's no way you could ever think that because as far as he's concerned everything he does is for you. He'd quickly have you unlearning that habit, reassuring you that whenever you want him he's there because all he wants is you needing him.
There's no way you could feasibly feel like Rafayel puts work before you. You've witnessed just how annoying he gets when he doesn't want to work, trying your best to help out Thomas by bribing Rafayel with things if he promises to just sit down and actually paint for a few hours.
When he actually does lock in though it will be days until you get something out of him that isn't just a grunt. His phone dies and he doesn't pick up his calls but you're used to it so it doesn't bother you. It takes him until he's actually about to collapse from exhaustion to realise how long it's been since the last time he saw you and he is not very happy about that one. Once his phone is finally returned to the land of the living he spams you with texts and calls, telling you to come over and see him.
You're pretty calm considering he accidentally ignored you for a few days. He was hoping you'd have some stronger emotion besides just brushing him off and reassuring him that it's fine and you really don't actually mind. After a bit of prodding he finally figures out what's happening and tells you that he doesn't care when or how - he wants nothing more than for you to monopolise his attention or at least just hang out with him as he works. He loves you and wants to spend as much time as possible with you.

I literally grew up below the poverty line. My income, as soon as I had a job, went to supplement the household, and with a disabled father my income was the secondary income. We were still below the poverty line. "New" was a novel concept to me and my siblings, because nothing we ever got was new.
I have been blessed with opportunity, I got a full time job, a husband with a stable income, and a third income via my MIL. We just bought a condo, and we were able to spend some money renovating (out of necessity, rather than desire), but we are still firmly lower class. All three of our cars were used when purchased. Mine is 20 years old, and I'm at least the third owner. I'm currently ignoring my check engine light because I cannot afford the repairs I know my car needs. We are basically going to be scraping to pay the mortgage and our bills for the next several months while we attempt to build up a savings again, but more likely than not we're going to be back to living paycheck to paycheck for a while, especially since I can no longer work full time because of my declining health.
The life I live is one singular step up from the poverty I was raised in. When I was a kid, we juggled which bills we'd pay that month. As an adult, I'm using every single penny I have to pay my bills, and even then sometimes I miss a payment on something because I have to wait for my next check to get deposited.
I am poor. I am lower class. Unless something drastic happens in my life, I will always be lower class. This is not a luxury lifestyle by any means. If you try to tell me how "good" I have it because my husband and I, as well as my MIL, have a three income household and can pay the bills, I will eat you. I've lived the lowest of the low, and this is barely above that.
I would (figuratively) kill for a middle class lifestyle. I would love to be able to pay off all my bills and debt and have the automatic payments come out without me obsessing about it it'll put me in the red. I would love to be able to buy books whenever I want them, and not think twice about telling my husband we need to buy another book shelf to hold them. I would love to be able to quit my job and live solely off my husband's income so I can be the house spouse I want to be. I would love to turn my long weekend birthday trip to the beach/fave used book store into a week long adventure, and not have to use the cheapest motel in the area for two nights. I would love to have my hobbies be hobbies and not something I need to monetize in order to make ends meet. I would love to be able to go out to dinner and a movie once a month with my husband, cover the bill for my friends at lunch, buy a new laptop when I need one instead of praying my decade old computer pulls through just a little bit longer. Being able to bring my car to the shop when needed and not having to scrape to pay the mechanic would be amazing. Any of that would put me at *maybe* lower middle class. Not even firmly middle class, lower middle class.
I am not middle class, and I am not your enemy. People who are middle class are not your enemy. People living a life of luxury as celebrities aren't even your enemy. It's the billionaires who profit off of your labor without regard for the fact that you're a human being who deserves to live that are your enemy. Eat the fucking rich.
Ive noticed recently that my generation has... no concept of what the various economic classes actually are anymore. I talk to my friends and they genuinely say things like "at least i can afford a middle class lifestyle with this job because i dont need a roommate for my one bedroom apartment" and its like... oughh
You guys, middle class doesnt mean "a stable enough rented roof over your head," it means "a house you bought, a nice car or two, the ability to support a family, and take days off and vacations every year with income to spare for retirement savings and rainy days." If all you have is a rented apartment without a roommate and a used car, you're lower class. That's lower class.
And i cant help but wonder if this is why you get kids on tumblr lumping in doctors and actors into their "eat the rich" rhetoric: economic amnesia has blinded you to what the class divides actually are. The real middle class lifestyle has become so unattainable within a system that relies upon its existence that theyve convinced you that those who can still reach it are the elites while your extreme couponing to afford your groceries is the new normal.

I don't know if you're taking orders, but it doesn't hurt to try.
I was wondering what it would be like if the reader and (young) Violet were caught in the middle of making out (nothing too extreme, they're teenagers) by Vander/Silco and the two pull them into THAT awkward conversation. (I can imagine this so easily, it would be embarrassing and funny at the same time!!)
- that's it, a kiss on the ass
warnings: teens making out, fem!reader
an: this request was so cute I had to write it at soon as I got it. not entirely satisfied about this but I hope you like it âĄ
In the warm, slightly messy confines of Violet's bedroom, the afternoon sun painted a playful pattern of light and shadow across the floor. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and the faint hint of cherry, a scent that clung to Violet from her favorite shampoo. The room was a testament to the tumultuous energy of adolescence: The walls were adorned with a mismatched collage of boxing posters featuring both legendary fighters and multiple polaroids featurings vi with her colest friends, some of them picturing vi and powder together.
The floor, a battleground of discarded textbooks, a few stray pieces of gym gear, and an ever-growing mountain of laundry that she always swore to tackle "later."
A worn-out punching bag hung defiantly in one corner, a testament to the countless hours she's spent working off her angst and energy. A rumpled bed in the corner with half-read comic books spilling onto the floor, and the faint smell of snack foods that had been hastily stowed away.
Violet, with her short hair sticking up in a halo of defiance, grinned mischievously as she danced around the room, throwing feigned punches at the air.
"Come on, cupcake" she goaded,
"I'll show you how to throw a real hook. You've got to keep your guard up, though."
You didn't know exactly how your sparring session started, one moment you and vi were bickering about who the best hero was in the last comic book you read and the next violet was circling you, fist raised in front of her face as she challenged you to ''show her what you've got''
Your eyes sparkled with both excitement and a touch of apprehension, as you mimicked Violet's stance, your hands held up in an awkward guard. you'd always admired Violet's strength and the way she could command a room, the way she'd stand up for anyone she thought was being bullied. You'd been inseparable since you were kids, but lately, you had been noticing something more, a spark of attraction that you hadn't quite known how to navigate.
Your playful sparring grew more intense, the air crackling with something electric and unspoken between you. Violet's movements grew bolder, and she began to enjoy the sight of you trying to keep up, your cheeks flushing a delightful shade of pink with every near-miss. As you circled, your foot slipped on a stray sock, and with a playful laugh, violet reached out, catching your wrist to stop you from falling.
In that moment, the space between you two seemed to shrink, the air growing thick with an unspoken tension. Violet looked into your eyes and saw something there she hadn't noticed before: a flicker of curiosity, a hint of desire. Her own heart began to race, and without thinking, she took a step closer.
The next few moments were a blur of movement as Vi playfully pinned you to the bed, your laughter echoing off the walls. your eyes went wide, but not with fear, with surprise and a thrill that you didn't quite understand. your body went tense for a brief second before you melted into the mattress, you hands fluttering to her sides, gripping slightly the fabric of her worn out t-shirt, like a butterfly unsure where to land.
Violet hovered over you, her grin turning soft and gentle as she looked down into your eyes. "You okay?" she asked, her voice barely more than a whisper.
you nodded, the nod turning into a shy smile.
"Yeah," you murmured, "I'm okay."
The room grew quiet, save for your panting breaths and the distant hum of zaun streets outside. Then, as if pulled by some invisible force, Violet leaned down, her lips brushing against yours in a soft, tentative kiss. It was a moment of discovery, a moment where the lines between friendship and something more began to blur. Your eyes closed, and you felt your inexperience show as your clenched hands hovered by her sides, unsure of where to go. The kiss grew deeper, more urgent, as you both gave in to the feelings that had been bubbling beneath the surface.
Your bodies pressed together, fitting in a way that felt so natural it was almost surprising.Your hearts hammering against your ribs like they were trying to escape.
She pulled back slightly, breaking the kiss to look down at you, her gaze searching for any sign of regret or discomfort.
''Truce?''
She asked, her slightly sweaty fingertips, a mirror of her own inexperience, caressing the skin of your wrists still pinned to the side of your head. You swallowed hard, feeling your heart pound in your chest.
"Truce," you echoed back, your voice trembling slightly with excitement and nerves.
Vi's smile grew, and she leaned back in, her eyes fluttering closed. Your hands, which had been frozen in place, started to move of their own accord, sliding up her arms to rest tentatively on her shoulders. Her skin was warm and soft beneath your touch, and you felt the muscles beneath. The kiss grew deeper as you both lost yourselves in the moment, the gentle pressure of her lips against yours making your head spin.
Your own hands grew more confident, moving up to tangle in her hair, which was sticky with sweat but still smelled faintly of cherries. You felt the softness of her strands between your fingers, the way they curled around your knuckles. Violet's grip on your wrists tightened slightly, a silent message of reciprocation and encouragement.
Her tongue brushed against your lower lip, and you gasped, feeling a thrill of excitement shoot through you. Without thinking, you parted your lips, and she took the invitation, deepening the kiss even further. Your tongues met, clumsily at first, but quickly finding a rhythm that matched the rest of your movements. She tasted of sour gummies, ''her favorites'' you tought, and iron due to her split upper lip.
In an instant, the heat of the moment froze as the door burst open. The sound of the door handle jolted you out of your daze, and your eyes went wide with shock. You saw Vander's surprised expression just before you had the sense to pull away from Violet. In your haste, you misjudged the distance and ended up headbutting her with a painful thud, making her yelp and clutch her nose.
''ouch'' violet groaned as your panicked gaze glanced between her pained face and vander amused one.
"Thy drugs areâŠare quick. Thus withâŠ''
you squeaked high pitched as your tried to remember the lines from romeo and juliet you recently studied at school.
Vi looked at you, a bewildered gaze that screamed ''what the fuck are you doing'' scrunching her features.
''w-with a kiss I die."
you finished in a dramatic way trying to ignore the weight of the stare of vander still standing in the doorframe.
Vander glanced between the two of you crossing his arms on his chest, his right eyebrow slightly arched
''What's going on here?"
Before violet could utter a word you quickly shot up from the bed, your hand gesturing hastily in front of you.
''we were justâŠpracticingâŠuhâŠdrama for school!"
you looked at violet pleading her with your eyes to play along
"Yeah, for the school play''
she mumbled still holding her nose with a pained expression
''You know, the one about those two idiots who kill themselves by accident''
you glared at violet because she didn't sound convincing at all.
''romeo and juliet''
you hissed
Vander nodded slowly but it was clear in his eyes that he was reading through your ridicolous attempt at making excuses
"I didn't know you were in drama club?"
he said with a teasing tone
''I'm not'' violet responded
''it's for losers'' and you almost felt the physical need to headbutt her again because she was not being helpful at all.
you brushed your fingers over the dorsum of your nose trying to come up with something.
''yeah, we are not butâŠ'' you said
"It's⊠it's just a new extracurricular we're thinking of joining,"
you blurted out, hoping that the desperation in your voice didn't give you away.
"You know, to⊠to expand our cultural horizons!"
Vander's eyes darted back and forth between you and Violet, the amusement in his gaze growing with each awkwardly constructed sentence.
The room felt as though it had suddenly shrunk, the air thick with the scent of embarrassment and the awkwardness of the situation. The punching bag in the corner of the room looked almost sympathetic as it swayed gently from your earlier playful exchanges.
"Oh, really?" he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"And here I thought you were just⊠I don't know, wrestling for fun or something."
Violet's cheeks turned a deeper shade of red as she shot you a look that was both apologetic and slightly exasperated.
"Well," vi began, trying to keep her voice steady, "it's like⊠a new form of sparring, to mix shit up. It's all about⊠emotional expression and⊠uh⊠trust?"
Vander's eyebrow quirked upwards, clearly unconvinced.
"And this⊠'sparring' requires kissing?"
Violet's eyes grew wide with panic.
"It's a⊠it's a trust exercise," she blurted out, her voice nasally from her still-pinched nose. "We read about it in a book. It's supposed to⊠to make us more⊠emotionally connected?"
the silence that followed was as palpable as the awkwardness. You could hear the clock on the wall ticking away, each second feeling like an eternity. Vander looked at the two of you, his arms still crossed over his chest, his biceps flexing under the fabric of his shirt.
Finally, he spoke up again, his tone softer now,
"Look, girls, I know you're growing up, and you're gonna have⊠feelings for each other, but maybe you could save the⊠extracurriculars for when I'm not around, yeah?"
You both nodded vigorously, relieved that he wasn't as upset as you had feared.
''and you know'' vander cleared his throat a little awkward not expecting to do the talk to violet today ''if you need to talk about you know...kids your age...and hormones''
he started suddendly feeling awkward.
"Vander!" Violet's voice was a mix of embarrassment and annoyance, her hand shooting up to cover her face. "We're not doing that!"
She was blushing furiously now, her eyes pleading at him to drop it.
Vander looked at you both trying to find the right words
"you know the birds and bees...''
He paused, looking between you two before continuing,
"or a bee and tanother bee" he gestured awkwardly towards the bed, "ok maybe not the best example but you know two blossoming young girls like you two"
Violet's hand dropped from her face as she finally shot up from the bed hastily walking to vander pushing on his chest.
"oh my god please stop"
"It's all about theâŠuhâŠpollination of life,"
he continued, his cheeks growing redder by the second.
"And how it's a beautiful, natural process that happens betweenâŠuhâŠpeople who really care about each other."
Violet groaned, her movements stiff as she tried to compose herself.
"we get it all right...just leave us alone" she asked, pleading as her cheeks grew redder by the seconds
Vander's finally raised hi hands in front of his chest as violet tried to push him again out of her room
"all right all right, just wanted to let you know I picked up dinner. It's in the kitchen. Don't eat it all before I get a chance, okay?"
As he left, shutting the door behind him, Violet and you shared a look of relief and awkwardness. She winced as she touched her nose gently, checking if it was still bleeding.
you rushed over to grab a tissue from her nightstand and handed it to her. "Sorry," you whispered, feeling guilty for causing her pain.
"I didn't mean toâŠ"
"It's fine," she said, taking the tissue and dabbing at her nose. She looked at you, her eyes searching. "So⊠that was⊠weird, huh?"
you nodded, trying to keep your voice steady. "Yeah, but⊠I liked it," you admitted, your heart racing.
Violet's eyes widened, and she looked away, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade of red.
âI⊠I liked it too," she murmured.
for a moment, you just stood there, the silence stretching out between u like a tightrope you weren't sure you could both walk on. Then she looked back up at you, a tentative smile playing on her lips. "Want to⊠try again?"

baby, it's cold outside (no seriously it's crazy out there)
bf! chan x gn! reader: your car breaks down in a snowstorm and you have to walk home. chan is there to comfort you and warm you back up
pairing: chan x reader
genre: hurt/comfort, fluff
word count: 4.1k
warnings/tags: snowstorms, car trouble, sickness, a long series of unfortunate events that leave the reader miserable for most of the fic
a/n: this is a request from @caticorn61 who wanted chan being apologetic for not answering his phone after reader's car broke down. this is perhaps more than what u asked for đ
but i hope you enjoy it anyway!
You are on a historic run of bad days.
You've never considered yourself to be particularly unlucky, but this past week has had you rethinking that orientation. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. On Monday your alarm didn't go off, making you late for work. Even worse, there was a meeting you'd forgotten about, so you had to slide awkwardly into the back of the room and pretend you didn't feel everyone's annoyed gazes. Tuesday was grocery shopping day, but you found out they discontinued your favorite brand of chips, and raised the price of an alternative, so you were forced to go home chip-less. Then, when you tried to take the groceries out of the car, one of the bags split open and sent your eggs, cheese, and blueberries crashing to the ground, buried in slush and snow. A total waste. Wednesday you woke up to find your heating had shut off in the night, and you were now shaking fit to break apart. Although maintenance promptly fixed your radiator, you developed an itch in your throat that only grew throughout the day and had developed into a full-blown cough by the next morning.
Which is where you are now on a subzero Thursday morning, ill and irritated and crawling your way towards the end of the week.
Your boyfriend, Chan, talks to you on the phone in soothing tones.
"I'm sorry your week has been so rough, baby," he says, and you can hear the dripping sympathy through the phone. "I know how it feels when little things pile up like that."
"I just don't know if I can take it anymore," you tell him. "It's like I've been cursed. I'm afraid if I walk outside a piano will fall on me and crush me."
You're half-joking when you say that, but Chan can hear that the other half is vaguely on hysterical.
"I don't think anyone is moving pianos in this weather," he says very reasonably. "Just stay away from luxury apartments if you're worried."
You set your bag down and put your face in your hands, taking slow, deep breaths. Your phone is on speaker, and you can hear Chan hum, trying to comfort you even though he's in his own dorm across the city.
"It'll all be okay, Y/n. And I'll see you this weekend, yeah? I'll come over Friday night and you'll have me all to yourself. Just stay strong."
You exhale, long and loud. "You promise?"
"I promise. Be strong for me, babygirl."
You blink the dampness out of your eyes and straighten up. "Okay. I can do that."
"And drink some tea. Your voice sounds kind of rough."
"Don't get me started again, please."
By the time you hang up, you don't feel understood, but you do feel seen. You fill up a thermos with tea, put on your coat, and mentally prepare yourself to leave the apartment.
It's only two more days, you remind yourself. The weekend will fix me. It'll break this curse that's been placed upon me. You force yourself to have a positive outlook. You will not have another bad day. You will be strong.
All day, you force yourself to react to every potentially meltdown-inducing incident with grace and poise. You realize you forgot your lunch and have to eat cheap candy from the vending machine for lunch? That's totally fine. Your boss adds another item to your to list, forcing you to stay later to finish everything and close up? You really don't mind. Your best friend texts you that she's been stalking her ex on Instagram again and you won't believe it but he already has a new girlfriend, y/n, can you fucking believe it, we've only been broken up for like two weeks and he's buying her fucking jewelry, and you respond what an asshole. he has a new gf and he didn't block his ex? while your eye twitches.
By the time you finish all your tasks and close up, your face hurts from holding a smile you don't feel. You're the last one out, so you make sure the building is locked and make your way across the empty parking lot to your car. The forecast predicted snow tonight, and already the ground is littered with white. The flakes are fat and sticky- they're already building up on the undisturbed portions of pavement. You have to quickly brush off your windows and mirrors before you can get into your car, slamming the door behind you.
You made it. You survived. It was a godawful Thursday but you conquered it.
"One more day," you whisper to yourself. "Just one more day."
You lock the door and put the key in the ignition. The dashboard lights up and the engine turns.....and turns....and turns.....
A rock forms in your stomach.
"No," you say. "No no no no no." You twist the key again, but the engine whirs and whirs and whirs...and does not turn over. Your car does not start.
It's not news to you that your car is a piece of shit. You and Chan discuss this almost every night- what to do about this fuckass car. You've been resistant to letting him help you pay for a new one, partially because that's a lot of money and partly because you're sentimentally attached to the old rustbucket. You inherited it from a family member as a birthday gift, and so despite it being less than reliable you're hesitant to seek solutions. It's your first car, after all. It's a part of you now.
In this moment, however, you want to throw all that sentimentally down the drain along with the keys to this absolutely useless fucking rustbucket of a vehicle.
Not to worry, you tell yourself. I'll just call Chan to come get me. We can deal with my car in the morning.
You take out your phone and call him. The call rings out.
You stare at your phone, confused. It's not like him to ignore your calls, especially not at this hour. It's pitch black with winter but it's still arguably early in the night. Chan is likely to still be awake, but it's unlikely he's doing any kind of official task. And it's so late that he would know to answer; you would never call him for something frivolous at this time of night. You call again.
No answer.
Your patience is running thin now. You consider calling your best friend, but she's out of town visiting family. Your other friend, Seohyeon, doesn't have a car, and her boyfriend's car is currently being repaired. The bus you sometimes take is about a fifteen minute walk down the street, but it'll have stopped running this far out by now, so you'd have to walk to a further bus stop and then go to the transportation terminal and connect, which would take over an hour. You could walk to the subway, you think, but you lost your subway card weeks ago and never got around to replacing it, and honestly it just seems like a whole ordeal you can't bring yourself to stomach right now. Chills go down your spine, and you can't tell if it's from the cold or from the increasing precarity of your situation.
You try the engine again. No dice.
You call Chan again. Voicemail again.
You lean your head on the steering wheel and take long, deep breaths. Outside your window, the wind is picking up, making the snow fall at a diagonal instead of straight down. It would be terrible to walk in, especially because the direction you need to go to get home would cause the snow to blow right in your face. Your throat is killing you, but your thermos of tea is long since empty. Maybe you should just go back into the work building and hunker down for the night. Maybe you should sit in the car and turn into an icicle. Your head is a foggy mess, thoughts twisting all around. You're getting hysterical again. You can feel yourself cracking to pieces.
Think, y/n. Who else can you call?
You're all out of people you know personally, but you could call an Uber. It's pricey and arguably unsafe, and you normally wouldn't, but these are extenuating circumstances. It solves the problem of being stranded, and again, you can deal with your car at a later point. And at least when Chan finally calls you back, you'll be safe at home, so he won't have to feel guilty about missing your calls three times.
You lean back in your seat and open the Uber app. Thankfully you still have it installed, and it still has all your info in it from the last time you called someone to take you home. Just as you're about to finish the transaction, your phone freezes. The screen flashes, then goes dark. You press the power button once, then again, frantically.
Your phone is dead.
Immediately, you scramble for your console, searching for a power cable to connect the phone to the car battery. Your cable is gone. You remember, horrified, that you took the cable out of your car because the one in your living room at home had started fraying. You meant to replace it but you never did. You're normally pretty good at leaving the house in the morning with it mostly charged.
But it's nighttime now, and your battery is dead. You have no charging cables, which means you can't call an Uber. You can't call anybody. And you can't even go to the subway now because your debit card is on your phone, so you can't refill your subway card.
A terrible despair fills you.
You have to walk home in a snowstorm.
As soon as the thought materializes, tears start to well in your eyes. This is too much for you to take, would be too much for you even if you'd had a perfectly good day today. This isn't fait. How can this be happening to you? Why is the universe punishing you like this? And when is it going to stop? Again you wish you could just sit in your car and turn into an icicle, let someone else defrost you in the morning. You think having a piano fall on your head would be better than this.
Eventually you manage to get yourself to calm down. Sitting in this car freezing isn't gonna do you any good. It'll only get colder by the hour. You need to walk to the far bus stop and catch another bus before they actually stop running, and you really are stranded instead of just doomed to walk forty minutes in a blizzard.
As if there's a difference, you think bitterly as you put your useless phone into your bag and bundle everything up. You put your gloves back on, and your hat. You step out of your car, slamming the door behind you, and zip up your jacket. Of course, you hadn't thought to wear a scarf today, so your face will just have to freeze. After only 30 seconds you feel your lips cracking.
"Okay," you whisper. "Okay okay okay okay."
You set off in the direction of the bus.
-/-
The journey is long and cold. It's not so much the temperature as the fact that you never have the chance to get used to it because it just keeps getting holder as the night wears on. It takes a ridiculously long time to walk to the bus stop, because you're fighting headwind every step of the way. You want to close your eyes against the snow, but if you do that you'll veer off course or fall into the road or trip on an ice slick and die, so you brave the stinging and push forward. Then you wait at the bus stop so long that your already sore feet start to scream with pain. Your phone is dead, so there's no way for you to track the bus, but you conclude you must have just missed the previous one as it takes a full thirty minutes for it to come again. By the time the bus pulls up in front of you, your feet are almost buried, and when you take your seat, every part of you squelches and slides as the snow melts, drenching your clothes.
The bus is at least warm, and so is the transport center, but the second bus drops you off another twenty-five minute walk from your apartment and you're forced to walk- you guessed it!- uphill. Your calves are screaming from the exertion, and from cold, and from keeping your balance as you trudge through the piling snow. You have a death grip on your keys- if they were to fall out somewhere between work and home you would simply lie down on the ground and let the snow bury you. It would be more than you could take. But your keys stay in your tightly clenched fists, and soon your apartment building becomes visible through the dark and haze. You want to cry tears of relief but your tear ducts are frozen shut.
By the time you traipse up the steps of your apartment, you feel more popsicle than person. You are so cold. Your hands shake so much it takes you a few tries to get the keys from your pocket and stick them in the lock. You step inside, sagging as the heat blasts you in the face. All you want to do is collapse into bed and curl under your blankets where the world can't see you, to get a little bit of sleep before your torture begins anew tomorrow. The thought of going to work on Friday strikes a physical pain in you. You've barely survived today, and yet tomorrow looms terrible just out of reach.
You go to turn on the lights only to realize that the lights are already on. Your heart skips a beat. Did someone break into your apartment? Should you turn around and flee? But you don't have a car, and you certainly aren't walking back to the bus stop. You have nowhere to go.
A figure turns the corner and you flinch back, hands half-raised in some pathetic attempt to defend yourself-
It's Chan. He turns the corner and it's your boyfriend, standing on your tile floor in sweats and a big sweater, eyes bright and twinkling with how excited he is to see you.
"Hey, sweetheart," Chan says. "You're finally back. I saw you called earlier and got worried something was wrong."
You burst into tears. You're crying before you even know it, violent sobs that shake you and make water droplets roll off your soaked hair. Salt burns your frozen tear ducts, and snow is slipping down your collar, but all these small discomforts are overshadowed by the pure and all-consuming relief that your boyfriend is here in the flesh, asking after you and taking care of you, and you can finally stop fighting to keep it together. You can rest.
Chan makes a sound of alarm and rushes forward to grab you as you start to list.
"Baby? Hey, hey, what's wrong? Christ, you look terrible. Are you sick?" He tries to put his hand against your forehead but pulls it away just as fast. "You're cold as ice, y/n."
"I w-walked home," you try to explain. Your tongue is thick in your mouth, and it's hard to get enough air to speak through your sobs. "Car broke down, phone died, b-bus was late."
"Fuck, sweetheart. I'm so fucking sorry. That sounds terrible."
His validation of your misery just makes you cry harder. Chan pulls you into a fierce hug and you bury your face in his shoulder and absolutely lose it. All the stress of the last week crashes down on you at once, your misery overwhelming you. You grab at his clothes with gloved hands, and there's about four layers of clothes between you, and it's not enough, you want to be closer. But at the same time you can't make yourself pull away from Chan's embrace. He whispers soothing words in your ear, rocks you back and forth, presses closed mouth kisses to any part of you he can reach. He doesn't shush you, or try to calm you down. He just lets you have the emotional release he knows you sorely need.
When your cries start to slow, he gives you one final squeeze to catch your attention, and whispers, "We need to get you out of these clothes, hmm? Does that sound okay?"
You swallow the last of your sobs and nod morosely.
"Okay then. Let's take your jacket off. It's soaking wet by now."
You step back from Chan, still holding on to his arm as you stumble and sway. You're so tired. Standing up for even a second longer is too big of an ask.
"Just lean on me. It's okay, I won't let you fall."
Together, you unfasten and take off your heavy winter coat, letting it fall to the floor with the slush you dragged in. Chan is the one who crouches down to untie your shoes, and you lean on him for support as you remove one foot, then the other.
"Good job," he praises, pressing a kiss to your snow-soaked hair. "Let's get you warmed up now."
He leads you to the bathroom and starts the water running in the tub. You listlessly undress, leaning on the counter for support when you need it. While the tub is filling, Chan tries to leave, but you catch him by the shoulder on his way past you, stopping him in his tracks.
"Stay?"
"Of course I'll stay," he says. "I just want to get you a change of clothes."
You hesitantly let go of him, and he flashes you a reassuring smile before he slips out. You sit down on the toilet and wait patiently for his return, watching the water fill the tub slowly and feeling your thoughts move sluggishly in your brain.
The sound of the water stopping jolts you back to the present. Chan is back, in a regular t-shirt this time, leaning over the bathtub to make sure the water is the right temperature. Deeming it good enough, he turns back to you and stretches out a hand to you.
As soon as you sit down in the warm water, you feel about ten times better. The warmth unties some of the tension that coils your muscles, and it quells the shivering that had started up as you were sitting on the toilet waiting to be told what to do. Chan urges you to slide down so you're almost submerged, making sure almost all your body is enveloped in warmth, and starts dumping warm water over your head, soaking your hair and washing out the remnants of grime and slush. He's quiet as he does it, humming a low tune, and you close your eyes and let him do as he wants. When he's done, he taps your shoulder, and you sit up, mourning the loss of warmth as your back and chest are exposed to the bathroom air.
"Do you mind?" he asks. You shake his head, uncaring of what he's referring to. You'd let him do anything to you in this state. It turns out "anything" means washing your back, so you again sit still and let him do as he pleases. The pressure of his hands and the sound of his voice, still humming, gradually soothe your mind and body. You stop shivering and tune back into your surroundings.
He's subtly watching your face, so he sees when you come back to yourself and drops his neutral expression. "Back with me?"
You nod. The floaty feelings from being cold and hysterical are gone, but that just means the exhaustion of your day is hitting you full force. You hold out your hand for the washcloth so you can clean the rest of yourself, and he hands it over, but doesn't move to leave, which you appreciate. Now that you're calmer, you think you might be a little more embarrassed asking him to stay.
"I know you said this morning you were cursed, but I didn't think you meant literally," he tries to joke.
You let out a long breath. "I didn't think I meant literally either."
"Wanna talk about it?"
You shrug as you rub the washcloth along your legs, wincing when you remove your still-freezing toes from the water. "What can I say? It was a shit day at work with a shit ending."
"You said your car broke down."
You squeeze your eyes shut. You are not in the mood for this argument. "It just wouldn't start. I don't know what's wrong with it."
"Y/n..." He doesn't say anything more. He knows as well as you do that you'll get nowhere. It's enough to set you off though, now that your exhaustion is making you irritatble.
"It wouldn't have mattered either way if you'd picked up the phone when I called you," you snap. It's unfair and you know it, but before you can begin to feel remorse, Chan's face turns to one of guilt.
"I know, I'm sorry. I still had it silenced from work and didn't realize. When I saw that you called me I tried to call back but the calls didn't go through."
"My phone died. That's why I didn't call an Uber."
Chan shakes his head. "I would call this comical if it wasn't so clearly stressing you out."
"You can still call it comical. Just not within earshot."
"Surely you think better of me than that."
"I do," you say, completely serious. "Sorry. I'm not mad you didn't answer. It's just been a shitty day."
Chan squeezes your shoulder in understanding. "It's alright. I get it."
"I'm really grateful you're here," you say, and you're getting choked up again, emotions all out of whack. "I've never been so happy to see anyone."
"You called three times. Since I couldn't get a hold of you, I hoped you'd still come home and we could talk here."
"You're too good to me."
"I'm exactly as good as you deserve." He leans down to kiss you, long and loving and warm, and the last of the chill in your bones slides away.
-/-
The next morning, Chan calls you in sick before you even wake up. He has to leave for the morning, but comes back around noon with ingredients to make you soup and tea, and rouses you for lunch with all the care and gentleness in the world. He curls next to you in bed despite your protests that you'll get him sick, but then, it's not like you protest that hard. You're still feverish and needy, and maybe it's not the most ridiculous thing in the world to want to lie in your boyfriend's arms as you recover from what you're pretty sure is mild hypothermia mixed with the flu.
"We were gonna hang out this weekend," you say morosely. "Now I'm trapped in this bed and you're stuck taking care of me."
"Taking care of you is my favorite form of hanging out," he informs you, cleaning away the mug and bowl to bring back to the kitchen. "And hanging up the phone on your boss is my favorite passtime."
"You did not hang up on them," you gasp, hand over your mouth.
Chan shrugs, unbothered. "They seemed a little too annoyed about my request to not tow your car out of the parking lot. I made it very clear that it better be there when you get back on Monday or else."
"So selfless. You could've let them tow it and finally been victorious."
He turns from the kitchen and sits back down on the bed. "You like that car. I'm not going to keep insisting you get rid of it when it means so much to you. Even if I do blame it for the events of yesterday." You glare and he puts his hands up defensively. "If it's not my fault or your fault then I have to blame the car. Sorry not sorry."
"Blame the cursed spirit following me around," you say, sinking miserably into the blankets. "It possessed the engine of my car just to torment me."
"Even more reason to get rid of it."
You're feverish and tired, but the conversation makes you smile nonetheless. "Ask me again when my fever breaks if you still think I should keep it. Maybe it'll burn away the sentimental attachment."
"Don't get my hopes up."
You close your eyes as Chan kisses your forehead, and you slide easily into pleasant dreams.

"Well, everyone's different."
That's what I used to think. I got diagnosed when I was 7. ADHD type H. Never had an issue with attention span, but by GOD if I never had hyperfixations.
There was that time I got super into learning the bo staff because I really liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Donatello is OBJECTIVELY the best, thank you very much.
There was that time that I learned how to perform basic field medicine like sutures because I got into all this... zombie, survivalist stuff.
Eventually, I grew up. I went to college. UCLA, BAYBEE! And when I got there, I met my roommate; Josh Grimstone.
We hit it off immediately. He seemed to be weirdly into the Sci-fi and thrillers, though it seemed like we could never watch anything without him scoffing at it
"Oh, please! If they lost THAT much blood, they'd be dead!"
"Really?! Your telling me he could jump from five stories and just... walk away?"
*standing up to yell at the screen*
"JUST BECAUSE YOU ROLL INTO IT DOESN'T MEAN THE INERTIA IS DISPERSED!"
It was fun. We always had a good laugh about it. It made sense, he was a Creative Writing major. But still, I liked teasing him about it.
He would have... dark and... macabre interests, but like... the guy would just read HAMLET. Like, for fun. I haven't read Hamlet since 10th grade. And it was required.
It wasn't until I invited him to my DnD campaign that I got suspicious. For whatever reason, a Creative writing major was a surprisingly bad storyteller. I mean, no offense or anything, but he couldn't move the plot along to save his life.
I don't know, maybe he was nervous?
Then we took a class together. I needed a Creative writing course for my gen eds. So why not take it with him?
We planned to make our schedules align, but... he almost never came to class.
"Maybe he's just blowing it off? It's a lower-division course. He'll be fine without it"
Then he missed the midterm.
I began to get suspicious and one day, followed him.
I don't... remember much after that. Hazy flashes. Something about... a warehouse? I think. I remember his voice. Quiet, l- like he didn't want anyone to hear him. Don't know what he was saying.
...You ever get that feeling you're being watched?
What? What's the- Why does my... head hurt?
That was the last thing I remember.
My eyelids felt heavy as I slowly blinked them open.
"Josh? Is that- What're you doing?"
"Quiet. What the hell do you think you're doing here?"
"I- ...what? Where am-"
"You're gonna get yourself killed, y'know that?"
He shook his head in disdain, a hint of pain in his eyes as he reached into his rear pocket. I heard something I'd only ever heard in a movie; that familiar click as the hammer locked into place.
Then I heard him scoff before feeling a piece of cold, dense metal pushed into my temple
I felt my heart drop as terror set in
"J- Josh, what're you? I- no! No! Stop this!"
In my desperate panic and attempt to stand, I noticed something for the first time.
I was tied to a chair.
My arms and legs were bound, the only thing I could freely move was my neck.
Pounding.
That was all I heard.
The pounding of my own heart as it began to drown out everything else.
I could see Josh's mouth moving, but it just came out as muffled nonsense.
Despite the adrenaline-induced tunnel vision of terror setting in, I could see his remorseful look as the cold metal pushed deeper into the gaps of my skull.
Today you just found out your roommate with strange hobbies, like knowing how to pick a lock, knows how every puzzle and cipher by heart, or how to commit tax fraud, and so many other things, wasn't a guy with ADHD, he was an ex-assassin and now you have a gun pointed at your face

Would you fall in love with me again?
âą Synopsis: he knew football changed him. That's why he couldn't help but be scared. Would you still love him the same?
âą Characters: Kunigami Rensuke (post Wild Card), Sae Itoshi, Michael Kaiser
âą TW: Kaiser had an episode, the f word like one time
âą A/N: EPIC consumed my mind.
đđŠđđđđđđ âđđđ€đŠđđ
He was different.
That was the first thing you noticed when Kunigami Rensuke, your boyfriend, knocked at your door on a random wednesday after disappearing for 7 months to go to some "Blue Lock" project.
"Is it really you?" You asked, voice dripping with doubt and love at the same time. Your knuckles were white from how strong your hold on the door was "Or am I dreaming once again?"
"I am not the man you feel in love with" he said, his deep voice wavering, not even giving you a proper 'Hello, how are you?' after so long "I am not your calm and gentle boyfriend. I've changed. For good"
You stayed silent, though it was not by choice. You were just so, so overwhelmed by emotions that it seemed like you had forgotten how to speak. Your tongue felt heavy inside your mouth, and your eyes were wide, unmoving, despite the tears threatning to spill from them, almost as if if you blinked, Kunigami, your house and everything else around you would disappear, and this would be nothing more than one of the countless dreams you had with him.
"Kuni" you started, getting closer. Your hand perfectly cupped his cheeks, as if it was meant to be there, and he instantly leaned in, almost like it was second nature. You caressed the dark circles under his eyes, and you were sure you had similar ones from the nights spent locked in your room, crying and missing him "What kind of things did you do?"
"I gave up on my hero ideology" he lifted one of his hands and put it right above yours, still on his cheeks "As I destroyed friends and teammates like they were objects I could use" he closed his eyes, basking in your warmth. Gently, he kissed the inner part of your wrist and sighed in relief, almost as if he was still convincing himself that you were, indeed, very real "And I am not the love you once knew"
The tears that were in your eyes finally fell. You could feel his hands trembling - if you were feeling scared, he was terrified. Terrified that you would reject him. Terrified to be cast away from your life. Terrified of who he became.
"Well, if that's true" you swallowed hard, blinking as more tears kept coming "Could you do me a favour? Just a moment, I swear. Could you please pick up that flower over there?" You pointed to a Baby's breath, neatly arranged at the floor, beside the door "Could you carry it over? Take it far away from here, please"
Rensuke eyes suddenly shot opened, his own tears starting to appear
"How could you say this?" His voice got patheticay loud, and he despised himself for crying in front of you, but it couldn't be helped. What you asked him was ridiculous "I helped you plant that baby's breath on our first date. It's a simbol of everlasting love - our everlasting love." His voice grew louder, more desperate, like he was talking to someone kilometers away from him "I can't do that, you know it. The only way to move it is to cut it from it's roots."
You couldn't help but smile. You grabbed his free hand with your own one, looking directly at his eyes. It was like the world around you both had stopped, and even the birds' singing and cars noises ceased. You could only hear Kunigami's frantic breath in contrast to your calm one.
"Well, only my boyfriend knew that" you smiled, getting closer to him. You rested your forehead in his, closing your eyes. He followed your actions, sighing "So I guess that makes him you"
You pointed to his chest, right where his heart should be
"Don't tell me you're not the same person. It's still you, right here. And you know I've been waiting for you"
He opened his eyes, staring right at yours as both of you cried, ugly sobs coming from your mouths.
He was still your boyfriend, after all. Your lovely, amazing boyfriend who you loved so much it hurt.
And when he finally kissed you after months, trying to convey a love so raw and genuine through his actions, everything seemed to fall back into place again.
đđđ đđ„đ đ€đđ
5 years.
That's how long you waited for Sae Itoshi to come back from Spain. To come back to Japan. To come back to you.
5 years of rejecting suitors. 5 years of dreaming of him every night. 5 years of suffering, yearning for your boyfriend who was all the way across the globe.
That's why, when he finally comes home looking even worse than you, you were not surprised.
"Are my eyes decieving me?" You smiled lightly, your nose already feeling stuffed - you knew you were about to cry
He muttered your name dreamily, staring at you intensely.
He's not sure how, but he managed to find the strength to smile your way. God, how long has it been since the last time he smiled? And yet, just by being next to you, he felt his lips stretching up.
Something was strange, though. You knew him. You knew Sae Itoshi, the boy who dreamed big and who you fell in love with. You knew him.
"Your eyes look tired" you frowned, getting closer and closer until your your knees were practically touching"Your smile's torn. You're different, Sae"
His smile fell, and you almost regretted what you had said. He grabbed your hands and caressed them with his thumbs, avoiding your gaze - something uncharacteristic of him
"Would you fall in love with me again?" He asked, sighing. His eyes finally met your gaze, and you could see the sadness in them - almost as if he was a young Atlas, carrying the weight of the whole world on his shoulders. You wish you could help somehow, ease his burden, but it was clear you couldn't "If you knew all I've done. The things I can not change."
His eyes sparkled, and Sae Itoshi never cried, but you swore you saw them getting a bit glossy. You didn't know what he was talking about, but he clearly had a fight with someone - probably a teammate or something.
"And I know you've been waiting for me" Sae continued, not giving you a chance to answer "But I am not the love you knew before. I am not the man you adored. I'm no longer him" he let go of your hands, staring right at you like he could read your soul - even though you knew if he could, he wouldn't understand a single thing. You weren't understanding your own thoughts. How could he?
"So tell me, Amor" he said, his spanish pronunciation way better than you remembered it to be "Would you fall in love with me again?"
A gentle silence settled between you, which was strange. You've dreamed for so long about what you'd say to him once you saw him again, and yet when you saw him you were completely at a loss of words.
Sae took your silence as an answer. He began to walk away, head hung low and hands on his pockets.
He knew this would happen. He knew it. He was not that Sae Itoshi. He was not even human. He was a machine, made for playing soccer. He knew you wouldn't accept him.
He knew it. Yet it didn't hurt any less when he grabbed his travel bag and started distancing himself from you
"I..." he heard you saying, and even though he tried not to, he stopped. He needed to hear your answer. His brain and heart needed closure.
He could practically hear the gears on your head turning, trying to find the right words to convey your feelings
"I will fall in love with you over and over again" you answered, voice steady "Doesn't matter how long it's been, Sae, I will always love you. I've waited for you. And I will always wait for you. You're mine, Sae. And I'm yours. That's something no amount of time or distance is ever going to change"
A gentle silence settled between you both once again, as you stared at eachother's eyes. The 10 meters that separated you both suddenly felt like 10 kilometers.
The snow felt like quicksand while Sae made his way to you, first taking hesitant steps, and then almost running to get to you.
And when he hugged you and you fit perfectly into the crook of his shoulder, you knew you'd be alright.
You were not going to give up on each other. No matter how hard things were.
You both then kissed each other, sealing that silent promise.
đđđđđđđ đđđđ€đđŁ
Kaiser has always been a hard person to deal with, but he's been way worse after the Neo Egoist League.
He was screaming at the smallest inconveniences, spent days without even sparing you a glance, trained till he passed out from exhaustion and was making even more snarky remarks, if it was even possible. He was not fine, and you knew that. You knew him.
Your suspicions were confirmed during one of his episodes.
Kaiser usually had some episodes while remembering his childhood trauma, and he always confided in you to help him overcome them.
You were proud of this arrangement, actually: trust has always been what held your relationship together.
That's why you couldn't make sense as to why he was hiding from you during one of the worsts - if not the worst - episodes you've ever seen him had.
"Micha?" You asked, finding him curled up in the corner of your shared closet "Are you okay?"
"Don't come near me" He whispered. His eyes were red from crying, and you could swear you saw a purple bruise on his neck. Why didn't he call you?
"Okay" your voice was gentle, as if you were soothing a kid "Okay. I won't come closer. But I'm right here. Just focus on my breath, my love. Can you follow it for me, please?" You began breathing louder, hoping he'd follow your lead
Sadly, he began shaking his head, breathing growing even more frantic
"I-I can't" he muttered, shaking like a leaf
"Of course you can" you whispered "C'mon, breath in" you breathed in and held for a while "breath out" you repeated. Finally, he followed your commands
Luckily, after a while, his breath began to come back to normal, and you pondered just what was going through his head to make him act like that.
"Can I come closer now?" You asked, voice still gentle. When he nodded, you wasted no time in sitting right next to him, still not touching his body
Silence was loud between you too, and you wondered if he was even going to speak something about it
"W..." he began, voice breaking. He then took a deep breath, preparing himself for what he was about to say "Would you fall in love with me again... if I lost all I had?" He asked. He gave you no time to think begore he continued "Would you have fallen in love with me if I was just a little kid with a fucked up, drunk dad? If I had no money, name or fame?" He looked at you, staring at your eyes like he would forget them the moment he looked elsewhere "Would you?"
Once again, silence enveloped the room.
"Forget it" he muttered, starting to get up "It was a stupid question"
He was almost standing when you put your hands on his knee, earning a confused "huh?" from him.
Just like he did earlier, you took a deep breath
"Michael, I don't care how, where, or when. You're mine. I love you for you. I don't care for your name, your value or your football abilities. I don't want to see Michael Kaiser, the emperor. I want to see Michael Kaiser, my boyfriend." You also got up, slowly reaching for his hands, like you were asking for permission. "I love you, Kaiser"
He tried really hard not to cry again. You could see it. The way he contorted his face before letting the tears fall freely.
One after the other, he began crying hard. Sobbing and hiccuping and all. He would never cry in front of anyone. Others would never see this version of him. But you would.
In a swift moment, you hugged him, feeling his arms hold you stronger as his cries got louder, uglier.
Strangely, he wasn't embarrassed. He was relieved.
Relieved he could be vulnerable in front of you. Relieved he could be himself.
He couldn't hide anything from you, could he? Well, he hoped he could at least hide that ring in his socks drawer.
But not for much longer, though. After what happened, he'll wife you up was soon as possible.
But for now, only the feeling of your arms grounding him was enough.

itoshi rin is an intimidating man. his tall silhouette adds to his unapproachable persona, which he embodies with a glued sore expression, almost always looking as if ready for slaughter. (he is)
rin himself has been aware of this fact; it is hard not to be after years of noticing the small mannerisms of nervousness people only tend to carry around him. he feels bad about it sometimes, but, oh well.
with such a demeanor, rin has the confidence to rarely ever think of what might spook him. truthfully, he cannot be blamed either. this man watches horror movies as a hobby, claiming "it's the only media that interests him". forget fictional horror, he isn't even bothered by realistic sights of blood, be it his own or somebody else's; a very small part of the reason why he didn't think twice before swinging at shidou during practice today.
itoshi rin terrifies everyone and is never terrified of anyone.
so why, why is he shaking in his boots right now at the sight of your stern expression?
"rin."
he held his breath, mentally preparing himself to confront the storm ahead.
"you forgot to buy strawberries."
crap. the ingredient had completely slipped his mind.
"sorry," he sighed, in transparent defeat. "i remembered your text after arriving."
"it's okay," you went back to shuffling through drawers like your usual self. except, it wasn't usual to rin. your cheeky smile he adored so much became replaced with a pout today.
no no noâplease don't be sad. not over strawberries.
"i'll go back and get them right now," he shuffled in his trouser pockets for his car keys, determined to get you those red little troublemakers.
your hand clutched a flap of his jacket before he got moving. "rin, it's okay. really."
"i'll be back shortly," he glared daggers into your hand restricting himâconflicted if he is in a position to remove any willing touch you provided him at the moment.
he hoped you would just let goâwhich you did. but now, it wasn't just a hand clinging to him. it was your entire being.
"you don't have to," you hugged him, murmuring sentences with the same look from before.
itoshi rin sighed, his second time today, but this was out of pure endearment. "then stop looking so upset, dumbass."
though his words carried a harsh stream, his tender hands cupping your jaw contradicted all the possible roughness.
"i'm not upset," you claimed. "you're pouting," he swiped a thumb across your slightly fluffed up lips to prove a point you seemed to be missing. "well, i just wanted to make those cupcakes."
the stoic man's heart clutched again at your painfully adorable wish. slowly, he leaned to press his forehead against yours. "so, let me get them."
at his adamancy, you chuckled, a sound that melted away the tension in the room. "baby, you really don't have to go back for strawberries. i can survive a night without them."
"i know you can," he left a quick kiss on your lips. "but, i want you to have everything you want. especially the little things."
perhaps you grew accustomed to his physical affection, but his verbal love still held you captive after all this time. long gone were the sweetly sour fruits from your mind, all it consisted of was itoshi rin.
"what if i want something not so little?" you tip-toed to reach your boyfriend towering over you.
immediately, getting your cue, he grabbed on to your figure, bringing his lips to align with yours passionately.
"can give you that too."
10:30 am.
the next morning, as sunshine spilled through the kitchen windows, you found a crimson surprise awaiting you at the counter. three full containers of strawberries had been neatly arranged in a column and residing beside them were a pair of oven mitts. the last thing he left for you to spot was a note attached to the thermal gloves.
"for your cupcakes. don't burn yourself." â rin itoshi.

part: I / II
Holidays linger like bad perfume.
Your eyes wander through the streets: the roads you've got to call home, the ones where you grew up. They're familiar, but so foreign, it's hard to believe they're the same ones where you scrapped your knees at ten and kissed Joel just last winter. It's as if both timelines, your life, feels more like two separate lives, miles apart.
"Hey, you okay?" tender, from the driver's seat; you're still getting used to the soft.
There's a reassuring smile your way, his hand finding yours to give it a squeeze. You notice his palm is the same size as yours. It fits perfectly, but there's a ghost of what it feels like to have it all wrapped up, looming over your itchy palm like all the yearning's a joke.
You nod. "Just tired. That's all"
He sighs. "If I wanted you to lie to me, I would've just asked"
"I'm not lying" you defend yourself as his pickup truck parks on the sidewalk.
He makes a funny face, and you laugh.
"I'm serious, Nick" your lips purse, a thing you do when you lie, yet he still hadn't noticed, like Joel. "Don't worry"
He doesn't look that convinced, so you take off your seat belt and grab his hand.
"C'mon. Mom and dad must be waiting for us"
"Hey" Nick calls you out.
"Yeah?"
"Who lives there?" and he's pointing behind you.
It's his. Joel's house.
"A friend of my dad's" you answer, dryly.
It was last december when you stood there in his porch, begging. It feels like time has stopped ever since, and you're still right where he left you.
"So will he be here?" Nick asks. "You know, since he knows your dad"
"Don't think so" you shrug, "he's got better things to do anyway. Bitter old man" comes out, with more venom than intended.
"Oh! Alright, sorry for asking"
You come back to your senses, realizing you've shared more than you should.
"No, I'm sorry. It's not that important; let's just go inside"
Your mom and dad greet you as soon as you cross the door. Last year, you'd basically fled away before New Year's, with a poor excuse and a broken heart. They both greet you as if nothing happened, although you're sure they remember your tear streamed face coming back from Joel's house, where it all ended.
As your mom corners Nick with kisses and embarrassing questions, your dad whispers to you:
"Joel asked what happened" you quirk and eyebrow, "wanted to know why you left"
"Eh, it's not important" you try to dismiss. "Definitely not as important for a guy like Joel to know"
"What is that supposed to mean?" your dad inquires. You often wonder if they knew.
"Nothing" you laugh nervously. "Listen, why don't you go and meet Nick, yeah? Did you know he likes fishing too?"
The distraction works with your dad; the same can't be said about you.
There's conversation flowing, but through the snow covered window, your eyes keep glancing back to his own. The view is dark, and you ponder if he's fled as well, the town plagued with memories too painful to reminisce.
You can still feel his hands roaming your body, the lust filled gaze that hid warmth. Every time he touches you, you have to remind you he isn't there: that the lips that kiss you, don't taste like his, that the hands that hold you, aren't big as his, and that the face that looks at you like they'll never choose another, is one you haven't learned to love yet.
Joel's memory cuts like thorns: they sink their teeth into your heart, that bleeds with that blood-colored sadness you're all too familiar with. He's poisoned you. But-- isn't it his love also the antidote for this disease he's gave you?
You abruptly stand up, plate half eaten.
"I-I need some air"
It's cold outside, but you don't care. All you want to do is sit on the porch, and drop some tears, something you can do inside too, but the fear of your muffled cries being able to be heard stops you.
You walk towards the stairs, to sit there like you do on summer days, yet there's now a difference: the snow. So you end up slipping, falling with your butt on the floor.
You yelp, embarrased although no one can see you.
"Need help?"
That you're wrong, apparently.
You don't even need to raise your view to know who that voice belongs to: you know it like a record, spinning in circles on your head.
He offers his strong hand your way, and although the cold wind hits your face, you're back to spring on the cabin: wet feet, bright sun and beating heart.
"I can get up myself" you reject his help, pushing the hand out. You keep avoiding his gaze, so you don't see how he's reacted, yet you hope he feels bad about it.
You walk up to the front door, and it takes you a while to realize he hasn't left yet. On top of that, it seems like he's following you. Just what you needed.
"What are you doing here?" you question, but your tone sounds like you're offended.
"Your folks invited me over" Joel answers, "Says they got a special guest"
"Yeah" this time, you do look back, finding him to be much closer than you thought he'd be. Yet you stand tall, defiant even. "It's my boyfriend"
You savour the way his expression falters, before the stoic façade takes over again.
"Boyfriend?" Joel scoffs, as if you just told the funniest joke ever.
"Is that supposed to be funny?" you bite back. "What? Think a pretty girl can't get a new man?"
"Never said I'd doubt'it" he clicks his tongue. "Y'a could get any man you'd want, sugar"
Ironically, the only man you want stands before you.
"Right" you chuckle dryly, "I think it's kind of funny of you to say that"
Joel's eyes bore into yours, a clash of emotions circling in his chocolate orbs.
"Y/n-"
"Don't" you stop him. Then sigh, defeated. "Let's just go inside"
As soon as you both arrive on the dinning room, your parents both greet Joel. Then, they introduce him to their guest, just as promised.
"Joel, this is Nick, y/n's boyfriend" your father speaks. "Nick, this is Joel, a dear old friend of mine"
Nick, as the gentleman he is, offers his hand. Joel accepts, but you can see the barely desguised displease behind his eyes.
"Wow, strong grip" Nick comments before joking, "you can let go now, I'm not going anywhere"
The hidden meaning of his words, whether intentional or not, hit Joel in the face. It's obvious by the way he backtracks, letting go of Nick's hand.
As you sit again, Nick leans to your side and whispers.
"Is this the guy who lives in the house across the street?" you nod. "Thought you'd said he had better plans. But, see? I told you: no plan's more important than coming to your house"
He's always making jokes, trying to make you smile, but it's done the opposite now. The food has gone cold long ago, yet you cut through the meat with a violence so palpable, even your mom tells you to slow down.
The nerve of Joel, showing up to your house like it's nothing, talking to you like he's unaware of his spell on you, acting like Nick is some sort of competition when he pulled out of the race himself a winter ago.
"So, Nick. How did you two meet?" your mom adresses him, eager to know details.
"It was at a party, actually, through mutual friends. Not a very spectacular story, that I know. What's funny is, she asked me what hour it was. And what did I say?"
"He didn't answer my question. Instead, he said: For you, I'm available any hour" you answer.
Your parents laugh, but Joel remains quiet. You wonder what he's thinking.
"You know" looking at Nick while cutting the steamed vegetables a little too agressive, "y/n actually hates parties"
"Joel" you warn through gritted teeth.
"Really? I didn't know that!" Nick seems so genuine, Joel can't help but hate him. He looks at you, concerned "You didn't tell me"
You can't believe he would rat you out like that. The appropiate word isn't hate, and you don't know how to describe it, but parties aren't really your environment; if you can, you'd choose to be anywhere else.
He'll pay for that.
"Joel" you seethe, an ugly smile painted in your features, "did you know Nick knows how to fish?"
It's a direct jab at him. He feels stupid for letting you get to him. The inferiority complex towards some random guy he just met, years younger, is actually laughable.
"I like-" Nick wants to add on that.
"Well" Joel interrupts, looking at you. "You never taught me like ya' were s'pposed to"
"You never cared to learn" you reply, acidic.
He sips his drink, trying to hide the smirk that's formed on his lips. You can't shut up, and he loves you've stayed the same.
"That means I've got some classes to take" Joel leans back on his chair, relaxed like he's won this round. "Just tell me when"
The tension cuts like the storm that's just formed outside.
"You should stay over, Joel" your dad offers when he takes a peak at the climate, "it's too dangerous outside"
Joel seems indestructible, like not even a snow blizzard could pierce through the rough old man. But he agrees, much to your dismay.
It's probably midnight already, and all you've done is toss around the bed. Nick peacefully snores next to you, and you envy how easily he falls asleep. You've always find it hard to sleep, the nighttime plagued with too many loud thoughts that fill the silence.
You get up carefully, heading downstairs for some water. You sip with tranquility when a noise jolts you from your sit.
The wooden floor creaks, making you aware you're not alone anymore.
"Can't sleep?"
You don't answer, seeing his sturdy figure emerge from the shadows until the dim moonlight shines over his aging features. Silence settles in. Outside, the wind howls, bumping against the windows with violence, like your heart does now against your chest.
"Not much of a talker, are you?"
"There's nothing to talk" cuts your response through the thick tension, the air suddenly suffocating.
You take another sip, but the tremble of your hand doesn't go unnoticed by Miller.
"Right" Joel sits next to you, on the kitchen island. "Won't even look at me, sugar? You've got eyes" his voice drops, "use 'em"
"What are you doing, Joel?" you ask looking at him, tears threatening to spill, making your bright eyes shimmer with pain.
He gets up abruptly, like he's woken up from a trance. He's seen his own pain on your eyes, and he hates it.
"Joel?" you ask again, demanding but softly.
He can't answer. Instead, he leaves.
"Goodnight, y/n" voice raw, many emotions boiling, hidden on the inside. It hurts.
If you hadn't changed, Joel too stayed the same.
A goddamn coward.
Two days have passed since, and now it's Christmas Eve.
You kneel, putting the presents under the tree. Normally, your parents would have much more people around for the holidays, but thanks to the storm, it's just them, Nick, Joel and you.
"I'm gonna miss Mrs. Stone's cookies" you pout, "I wish she could be here"
"It's a big loss for tonight" your dad sighs. "Next time, yeah? Christmas will come again faster than you think"
You nod, still absent as he walks away.
"Hey" Joel pops up behind, seemingly from nowhere.
"Hey" you reply, voice laced with tiredness just at the sight of him. How will you manage to survive until New Year's? You have no idea, the task harder if he's staying in the same house as you are.
"Put this in there, will ya'?"
He hands you a box, neatly wrapped up. What stands out the most is the silver bow on top. Your stomach drops: it's your favorite color.
"Y-yeah" you stammer. When the present falls in your hands, you notice it looks like Joel did it himself.
"Didn't know you were capable of nice things" you whisper. There's no anger in your voice, only loss.
"I'm trying" is what he says, before leaving you alone. Until then, you realize he had been touching you, the skin where his hand was on your shoulder burning.
Dinner goes by swiftly, conversation flowing easily courtesy of Nick and your father, who both have in common the love for talking. It may be your brain messing with you, but his eyes never leave you, fixated on your every move, savoring when your lips open and take a bite; when you lick them afterwards, salt in your mouth he'd love to take off in a movement of his tongue. The ghost of your lips haunts him, cruelly playing with his yearning now that he's got you across the table. It's a few centimeters, really, but it feels like you're miles away: and it's his fault. You're no longer his, and he's reminded of it every time your boyfriend kisses what he once had.
Now it's time to open the presents, and you excitedly raise your hand to go first.
"Alright, sweetheart. You know I can't deny you anything" your father beams, "go ahead. Choose any present you'd like to open first"
Joel's eyes are on you, and you know he's desperately waiting for you to open his first. Maybe partly in courage, maybe partly in fear, but you choose Nick's first: something safe to start with.
"That's mine!" he chirps, and Joel mockingly imitates his kid-like joy under his breath.
You unwrap the present, finding a small box inside.
"Please, don't be another box" you joke, and he laughs.
"You think that low of me? Please"
You keep unwrapping and find a bag. The bag has a small tag that reads: Gotcha.
"Nick! God, you're so corny" you tease as you open the bag. Inside, there's a velvet box, and by the looks of it, you can tell it's jewelry. You gasp, pulling out a silver charm tied to a silver thin chain: it's a marlin fish. "Nick..."
"I know. Marlin isn't your favorite fish, but that's all I could find" you get up, wrapping him on a tight hug. Aware you've got an audience, he leans and whispers "I knew fishing was special to you, because of your dad and childhood. Maybe now" he takes it from your hands, carefully putting it around your neck, "it can also be our special thing"
Joel sees the scene unfold in front of him, his grip tight on the cloth of his jeans until it's white. His jaw clenches at the affection display; all he sees is red.
"What about that one?" your mom points out Joel's present. A pit of nerves forms in your stomach. "I don't remember seeing it there"
Before you can grab it, your dad moves faster, examining the box on his hands.
"It's Joel's" he makes a pause, "for y/n"
You pretend to be shocked, and you can tell Nick tenses at your side.
"You didn't tell me you were close"
"Used to" you correct quickly, despite the knot on your throat. "Not anymore"
"He still got you a present, though"
You don't get to answer because your dad leaves the box on your lap.
"Open it" it's soft but feels threathing for some reason, "I'm curious"
Joel's resting hands tremble as much as yours while you open the present. You reveal the simple white box under the wrap, opening it up.
Your voice comes out shaky as you call his name. And he can see it: the muffled laughters on the shed, the warmth of the cabin's fire, the fogged up windows of his car, the bruises on your tits and that voice, so vulnerable, he can see you on his porch, saying those three words that terrified him so much, his solution was breaking your heart.
"What is it?" your dad asks.
"It's a scarf" the fabric tickles your fingers that wander through the loose strands.
You remember it all too well.
"Oh, it's vintage!" your mom comments when she sees the worn-out aspect.
But just as your affair with Joel, you keep the secret of it's real owner.
"It's perfect" you mutter, remembering better times: ones where he'd wrap the scarf colored as the leaves on the ground around your neck, covering bruises he'd just made while you joked you'd steal it, and Joel would say he'd just let you, that it looked better on you anyway.
You've forgotten the good, so used to thinking of Joel at your worst, like a punishment to endure and sink your shipwreck even deeper. You felt lost, replaying memories that seemed stuck on a loop. Since last december, all you've known is pain; creeping up through the cracks in your fleeting happiness, one you've tried to find to no avail. One day, past the curses and cries, maybe there'll be happiness. But as for now, that day seems terribly far.
As he sees your teary gaze, Joel often wonders were it went wrong. When did hurt was all you had for him in that gaze of yours he can't bare to look that long, not before he's reliving all those seasons by your side, replaying his footsteps on the snow, grass, water and fallen leaves, trying to find the one where it all went wrong. The torture he now wears like a second skin, his agony painted words addressed to the fire of a house that feels so empty and alone.
"We should continue" your dad speaks over the silence, "there are still many presents left"
The night moves slowly, and the scarf you've chosen to wear is now suffocating around your neck. But you can't take it off. This is the closest you've been to Joel on a year; it still smells like him. As the presents run out, you excuse yourself early to bed, only to wake up again in the middle of the night. You want to pee, so you exit your room and walk to the bathroom, your bare feet against the cold wood sending shivers down your spine that only seem to augment when you walk past his door, next to the bathroom. After being done, you splash some water on your face, as if that would make some sense get to you.
"What are you doing?" you ask yourself in the mirror. Your tired reflection stares back at you, in silence.
You open the door, ready to go back to bed when a hand covers your mouth and shoves you inside.
"Don't scream" your cries go muffled against his hand, the calloused digits pressing against your soft skin, "wanna wake 'em up?"
You shake your head, so he lets your mouth free.
"Joel" you call out, but he's facing the door, his back all you see. No sound can be heard, aside from his uneven breaths.
"I'm sorry" he says, and then you hear the small click of the door's lock.
"What the hell?"
This time, he faces you, but his movements are so quick you don't register his lips on yours until it's too late. He kisses you like a starved man who hasn't had a meal in years, eating you out while your body acts up on it's own, the urgency embarrasing even.
"No" you pull back. Your mind screams in guilt at how much you want this, and that's all you can hear aside from his ragged breaths.
"No?"
"It isn't fair"
"To lover boy out there?" he teases, "I know he ain't treating you right, or ya' wouldn't look me the way ya' do"
"Don't, Joel" your tone is icy, "Nick treats me better than you ever could"
He laughs, darkly. "You know I ain't meant that" he corners you against the sink, the material cold against your bare legs; you don't sleep with nothing but an oversized t-shirt, despite the weather.
"Riddle me this, sugar: if he treats you so well, why are you so fucking wet?"
Your heart beats so fast you fear you'll die. He gets closer, his hot breathe prickling against your ear.
"It takes a man to please a woman" he tucks a loose strand behind your ear, "and I ain't leaving my baby displeased"
His fingers pull down the panties until your clit is exposed.
"Look at 'er" he traces a teasing finger over the puffy skin, coated on your slick "missed me, didn't she? Gonna treat 'er so good, she won't ever feel lonely again"
He softly kisses your neck, the trepidation and regret tying your stomach in knots.
Joel teases your needy core with his finger.
"Tell you somethin', sugar" Joel finds it hard to hide his adoration, "I missed 'er too"
He stares into your eyes while pushing two rough fingers inside your cunt. You bite your lip, holding back your moans.
"Need summ help?" he kisses you roughly, smirking when he feels your shaky breath against his lips. He pushes them in and out faster, making your walls squeeze tightly around his fingers.
"Did he ever have you comin' this fast? I'ont think so" he whispers against your neck. You whisper his name through labored breaths, making a smug smile adorn his features. "Good girl"
He proceeds to kneel down, despite the creak of his bones. You see him leave a trail of kisses down your thighs, your legs opening wider in response. His tongue gives rapid flickers against your sensitive bud, aware of the lack of time. He slurps the pulsing cunt, his head moving back and forth while he sucks, coating his moustache on your juices. Joel goes back to the quick movements, tongue knowing your spots and twisting fingers as aid, causing your back to arch.
"Fuck" you curse as you come, gripping the sink a bit too tight.
Joel then pulls away and places his fingers coated in your arousal in his mouth and licks them. He sees the obscene display in the fogged mirror, satisfied.
"Goodnight, sugar" Joel bids goodbye like it's nothing, kissing your lips that taste like you. "Still as sweet as ever"
It's New Year's Eve.
"You're leaving?" you sound so sad, Joel can't help but scoff. In the end, he'd stayed long after the storm had passed, your father arguing holidays weren't meant to be spent alone. So he stayed.
And now, Nick is leaving.
"I'm sorry" he apologizes for the millionth time, "but granny is sick. I don't know if she'll make it another year, so say the doctors. I would love to stay, really, but I have to be with her"
You understand, having lost your grandad years ago. But that doesn't mean you're okay with it: Nick leaving means a clear path for Joel, who didn't stop with him sleeping next room, and certainly won't now, despite not having interacted with you since he ate you out on the bathroom.
He pulls you into a long hug and a kiss that doesn't feel the same anymore. "Will you be okay?"
"Yeah" you nod, "I'll miss you though"
"Well, I'll be all yours when you get back"
You smile but it doesn't reach your eyes.
"See you, y/n. I love you"
Your lips purse after you utter those three words back.
Later at night, the house is filled with guests. The lively environment is restored, and you feel less confined to Joel's claws, so many faces to speak and distract yourself with, compared to Christmas and the past couple of days. You clutch the marlin charm tightly, mind busy wandering to places it shouldn't. Joel stares at you from across the room, eyes trained on you as he sips his drink calmly, like he's won; you don't know why he's keeping score if he already knows it. You wander off to the kitchen, and Joel follows you.
"You have to stop" you speak as soon as he enters, aware he would follow you.
"I ain't do shit"
You turn around, facing him. "Bullshit, Joel"
"Tell me, what'd I do?" he comes closer, and despite your erratic heart and fear, you stay still; challenging.
"You did this, Joel" his expression falters for a second, the weight of last december's crimes dawning on him. "Don't try to make me feel guilty"
"I ain't. That wasn't your fault" he sighs, breath dragging long like a cigarrette. "But this" he motions with his hands the reduced distance, "this it is"
Your breath hitches.
"We can't keep doing this, Joel. Nick doesn't deserve it"
He pins you against the counter with force, gripping the skin of your wrists until you're sure you'll get a bruise. Joel's eyes darken at the thought of your frail and soft body under his rough figure and belly, his strength and your weakness making the job of putting you under his will, so much easier.
"Don't say his name" he whispers, his breath laced with alcohol, "he ain't here anymore. Ain't nothing to stop me now, right, sugar?" Joel purrs as he steps towards you, taking your face in his hands before starting a heated kiss, making you stumble.
This was so wrong, but it felt so right, the missing pieces falling like dominoes.
He was your pain divine: you needed his hurt to bleed and feel alive again. Maybe the red of the blood and the blue of your sadness could paint your darkest grey skies with a happiness you've craved since you lost him.
"Tell me to stop" Joel whispers, tempting like a devil as he kisses down your neck, littering it with hickeys.
"Don't"
Next thing you know, you're excusing yourself upstairs and then Joel goes missing too, both inside of your bedroom.
Your dress was the first thing to go.
"Wear it for me?" you're about to answer, lips pursing, but he cuts you off, "and don't lie, sugar. Don't get too used to the bad girl schtick"
"I only wore this dress so you could take it off"
He kisses you desperately, legs wrapped around his waist while he carries you to bed, and the memories of your first flood you as he drops you down to your back, watching the way you bounce. He has you just like he wanted: moaning his name while he leaves tender kisses on the soft bare flesh.
"Joel-" you gasp. Despite the chatter downstairs and music, you try to remain low as he wraps his lips around your nipples. He then moves to your breasts, covering them with his kisses and hickeys. He hadn't touched a woman ever since you left, the feeling of the rosy innocent skin on his rough teeth making him loose all common sense, the real thing even better than what he would try to conjure when he fucked himself in the bathroom at the memory of you.
He groans when he feels your hands roaming over his back, nails digging on the scarred skin.
"Someone's eager" he teases, seeing your damp underwear. "Is this 'cause of me?" you don't answer, too busy removing the cloth, only for his strong fingers to grab you and stop you. "Don't be shy, answer baby. We got a whole new year, yeah?"
"I need you Joel" you whine, not laughing at the joke "cut the crap"
He pushes you gently back down to the bed. "So needy sugar, want me to help ya'?"
You eagerly nod, making him laugh. But there's no mock, only love behind the sound.
"Will you let this old man take care of ya', pretty baby? Just use your words, and I'll be all y'rs"
"Do it, Joel. Just do it"
You gasp as your folds begin to be prodded open by the fat head of Joel's cock. You curse, feeling him push in just the tip, the sweet burn of your walls welcoming his size making you grab his arms that stand at the sides of your body, caging you in.
His tummy pushes against your stomach as he adjusts himself, his weight sinking your body on the creaking matress.
"'S just the tip, ready for the whole thing?"
You needed him, all of him.
"Yes, Joel. I want you" You say and he pushes in slowly, feeling his cock fill up every empty space that craved for him.
You squeeze your eyes shut as his hips roll back pulling out about halfway before rocking back in. His sloppy thrusts pick up a familiar pace that makes you moan and beg for more, head falling against the sheets as his pace speds up until he's fucking you senseless.
Joel's brain goes blank at the sight of you creaming on his dick and the obscene sounds leaving your pretty mouth. Did he really give this up? He'd definitely go back in time and slap the fuck out of his past self, because there is simply nothing better than having you under him, screaming his name like that's all you can ever say.
"Does he fuck you like this, huh?" Joel angles his hips, resuming his brutal pace. Your body jolts with each snap. "Is he enough for you?"
"Yes" his stomach drops, dark eyes now hesitant, "but he isn't you"
He pushes himself back in, your eyes fluttering shut almost immediately.
"Tell me you'll leave him, y/n. Look me in the eyes and tell me who ya' really belong to"
Your eyes snap open at the possesiveness clashed with jealousy that drips from his sweat-soaked lips.
The confession falls easily, as meant to be. "Yours, Joel. Always was and will be"
He could cum just at the sight of your loving doe eyes.
Downstairs, the countdown begins, but in your room, all you can hear are his soft groans and your pathetic whimpers, and if the people would stop shouting, you could probably hear the squelch of your dripping cunt sucking in his girth with each thrust.
After a few more erratic thrusts, you feel his warm cum fill you up. Joel was always obsessed with how his cum seeped out of you and around his cock. Without thinking, his rough fingers push deep in you, making you yelp as he makes sure he isn't wasting a drop behind.
The countdown ends, and fireworks erupt outside as your head rests on the crook of his sweat covered neck.
"I love ya', sugar" those words you thought you imagined that one time, now real, so goddamn real his voice quivers and eyes get tearful with grief, "'S okay if ya' don't say it. I just wanted you to hear 'em. 'M just tired of wastin' my time"
He wraps your lips with his with tenderness you had only dreamed of. There is still a lot to talk and heal, but this time, his arms hold you like a promise. And you let yourself believe it.
Y/n's New Years' purposes: 1. Break up with Nick 2. Try to explain this seasonal mess to mom and dad 3. At last, try to be happy

GENUINELY THIS SEGMENT OF PORTAL 1 IS SO COOL
ill try my damndest to keep this as on topic as possible because im autistic as hell about this game but
like compared to Portal 2 which gets you used to thinking outside of sterilized test chambers pretty quickly considering said sterilized test chambers are destroyed, this is the first time you realize "hey, you're not just sitting here going through motions. you actually gotta Escape because this place is Not Safe."
Portal 2 has my whole heart considering I grew up on that game (i was born in 2006 and portal 2 was one of my first major video games besides minecraft) but I can't deny Portal 1 told a lot more using a lot less.
You don't have Wheatley laying things out for you, it's just you and the only person on your side is long gone by this point (whether mentally or physically.) And by the time the only one who's been talking to you this entire time, GLaDOS, reveals her true intentions You start to realize there's more safety in the unknown than the familiar now.
And if you know all the context by now and you think about it too hard, the fact that it's better to trust in the schizophrenic man that talks to a cube than the intelligent AI supercomputer is kinda fucking insane.
AND!! THEN THE SAME TEST CHAMBER APPEARS IN PORTAL 2 RIGHT AFTER YOU REACTIVATE GLADOS FOR THE FIRST TIME EXCEPT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH IT BACKWARDS AS YOU'RE GOING BACKWARDS FROM OUTSIDE THE TESTS BACK INTO THEM...
AND YOU FIND THE DUAL PORTAL DEVICE IN THE PIT WHERE THE FIRE WOULD'VE BEEN... WHICH ALSO IMPLIES THAT YOU WERE INCREDIBLY CLOSE TO GLADOS THIS WHOLE TIME CONSIDERING YOU GO DOWN THE INCINERATOR IN HER CHAMBER TO GET THERE...
genuinely i can go on forever about Portal and I'm so glad modders like the ones that worked on Portal Stories: Mel and- more recently- Portal: Revolution are keeping the genius of this game alive when Valve can't.
Portal just has some of the best level design in all of gaming tbh
#i was gonna ramble in the tags but i got too silly#so i made a whole post about it#sorry if this is a bit long and disorganized JFJSHFAH

A Rose in Harlem
New York is supposed to be the city where people vanish into the chaos, but somehow, Simon Riley has found his way into your life. Heâs managed to slip past your defenses, filling a void you didnât realize was there. But when the closeness starts to feel too real, you pull back, desperate to hide your vulnerability. Simon, however, has already bared his own scars and expects you to do the same. Suddenly, your life feels like a romcom you never signed up for, starring the one man whoâs impossible to ignore.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete, when no one else ever cared.
Masterlist
PART 4
The Sweetest Taboo
So, you're sleeping with your neighbor. This is fine. Totally fine. You're two consenting adults; no one needs to know. Except Simon seems to disagree.
You wouldnât peg him as the "kiss and tell" type, but much to your duress, Simon is unapologetically the "kiss and show" type.
At the grocery store, he casually shows up at the same time, grabbing your bags like itâs second nature and walking you home. The stares from the neighbors make your face burn.
Morning run-ins in the foyer have evolved into something dangerously inappropriate. He refuses to let you leave without a kiss. Sometimes itâs just a fleeting brush of lips; other times, itâs deeper, lingering, and edging into the territory of lewd, making you shove his face away.
Then thereâs the hoodie. One of his oversized ones, soft and smelling faintly of him. He bullied you into wearing it. You caved, of course, but it stays hidden in the back of your drawer when Ishta comes aroundâthereâs no way youâre dealing with opening that can of worms.
Itâs not just the overt gestures, though. Itâs the way he lingers too long at your door after youâve kissed him goodnight. Watches you through the fire escape, like he has every right to. Sitting there with his legs sprawled, a cigarette lazily dangling between his fingers, he makes no attempt to hide it.
You tried to put an end to that one. Bought curtains on a whim, feeling smug about the newfound privacy theyâd grant you. But they mysteriously disappeared the day after you installed themâconveniently after youâd gone to work.
Simon played dumb when you confronted him, leaning casually against his doorframe.
âDunno what youâre talking about, angel. Someone breaking in while youâre away? Maybe I should stick around your place and keep watch.â
His grin was infuriatingly smug, as it usually is.
Itâs all becoming a little too real, a little too⊠loud. And yet, when youâre pressed up against him in the quiet of your apartment, his hands framing your face like youâre the only thing worth holding onto, you almost forget about his wrongdoings.
***
âBrought out the good shit tonight.â
Ishta grins, popping open a bottle of proseccoâthe cheap, overly sweet kind she adores. You hold back the urge to grimace as she pours, passing you a glass.
âWhat's the occasion?â
âMe and Mr.Scottsman are official!â
She squeals lifting her glass high. You mimic the gesture, the clink of glass on glass ringing lightly through the room.
âWow, it's so official you still won't tell me his name.â
You quip, rolling your eyes as you take a cautious sip. The sweetness of the wine hits immediately, and you fight the reflex to wince.
âJohn. Johnny.â
She sighs dreamily, hearts in her eyes.
âI call him Johnny because John is way too serious for my liking.â
You raise a brow at her,
"Sounds like youâve got it bad, Ishta.â
She doesnât deny it, swirling the prosecco in her glass like itâs some romantic prop, her grin widening.
"Oh, you have no idea. Heâs got this laughâitâs ridiculousâand he canât make tea to save his life. But, ugh, heâs perfect."
You shake your head, taking another begrudging sip of the prosecco, already bracing yourself for whatâs sure to be a night of gushing anecdotes about Johnny.
âPerfect,â
You echo with a laugh, setting your glass down.
âYouâve been together for how long now? A month?â
âThree weeks,â
Ishta corrects.
âBut when you know, you know.â
You snort, leaning back against the arm of the couch.
âYeah, sure. Youâre gonna marry this man, huh?â
âDonât tempt me,â
She says, her grin widening.
âHeâs already invited to meet his family. Can you believe it? His family, and Iâm just over here trying to not come off as a complete lunatic.â
âWell, youâre failing spectacularly.â
You tease.
She throws a pillow at you, laughing.
âSays the one whoâs been mysteriously glowing these past few weeks. Care to spill why?â
You freeze for half a second, a sip of prosecco poised at your lips.
âGlowing? What are you even talking about?â
âOh, donât play coy with me,â
Ishta says, narrowing her eyes.
âYouâre hiding something. Someone.â
You feign indifference, shrugging.
âMaybe Iâve just been using better skincare.â
âBullshit. Spill. Who is it?â
She leans forward, her gaze piercing.
Thereâs no way youâre telling her. Not about Simon. Not about the fire escape. Not about the way his hands feel against your skin or the things he whispers in the dark.
âNo one,â
You say firmly, hoping she buys it.
âAnd stop projecting your ridiculous love life onto me.â
Ishta squints at you, unconvinced.
âUh-huh. Sure. For now, youâre off the hook. But mark my words,â
She wags a finger at you.
âIâll figure it out.â
You laugh nervously, downing the rest of your drink.
Youâre grateful for how easily distracted Ishta can be, her attention now fully locked onto the trashy dating show the two of you watch every Thursday. Itâs a routine youâd both adopted more for the chance to mock strangers' poor life choices than for any genuine investment in the drama.
Occasionally, sheâll pipe up, her voice dreamy as she recounts the latest romantic gesture from Johnny, her âMr. Scotsman." She compares him to the guys on TV, and each time, she insists that Johnny does it better. You can almost hear the wistful sigh in her voice as she talks about how much she adores him.
You smile at her, teasing lightly,
âGonna end up as one of those military wives?â
Ishta laughs, a genuine, carefree sound that rings out in the space between you. She shrugs with mock indifference, but thereâs a spark in her eyes.
"Maybe. I mean, heâs a loverboy under all that wildness, but yeah⊠Iâd say Iâve got it bad.â
You smirk at her, shaking your head.
"Youâre hopeless."
"And youâre one to talk,â
She fires back, leveling you with a knowing look.
âSexy British neighbor still got you tied up in knots?â
You scoff, taking a sip of your drink to stall. The wineâs still too sweet, sticking to your tongue, but you focus on the tang that lingers at the edges.
âIâm not âtied upâ in anything. Haven't even spoken to him since the noise complaint situation.â
âRiiight.â
She side-eyes you, unconvinced.
âSomething tells me that's not entirely true. You get this weird look on your face every time I bring him up.â
You try to keep a straight face.
âMaybe youâre reading too much into things.â
âUh-huh.â
She leans back, crossing her arms.
âOne of these days, I'll catch you slipping.â
You roll your eyes, desperate to redirect her attention.
âI think youâve had too much wine.â
âOr not enough,â
She shoots back, taking another sip with a knowing smirk. She hums, like she just remembered something important.
âI forgot to tell you, Johnny invited you to come with me to meet his family.â
You make a face of confusion.
âMe? Why?â
âI talk about you a lot, believe it or not you are one of the most important people in my life.â
The statement takes you back a bit, makes you feel a twinge of guilt lying to her.
âBut his family?â
âWellâŠâ
She tilts her head, searching for the right words.
âTheyâre not exactly blood relatives. Theyâre his squad, I think thatâs the term he uses. He trusts them with his life, so he sees them as familyâor the closest thing to it. Something like that.â
Itâs her turn to hesitate, her fingers absently trailing the stem of her wine glass.
âAnyway, he thought you might want to come along. Besides,â She adds with a grin, peeking up again.
âIt'll be fun. Think about it! Drinks, charming military men, and me as your entertainment. What more could you want?â
With Simon in your life, you think to yourself, you find yourself wanting for nothing latelyâexcept maybe a little less suffocating attention.
âYeah, what more could I want.â
You say aloud, masking the weight of your thoughts with a light laugh.
Ishta beams at your answer,
âThatâs the spirit! Youâll seeâitâll be good for you. And hey, if nothing else, you can help me judge Johnnyâs friends. Who knows, maybe one of them is a secret disaster like the guys on this show.â
The conversation shifts back to the TV, her playful commentary dragging you out of your head. But even as you nod along, your mind is already working on an escape plan.
Youâre just gonna text her some excuse when the day comes. Sheâll understand. Probably.
***
âHow can you breathe in these?â
You groan, tugging at the waistband of Ishtaâs skin-tight leather pants as she twists and wiggles, trying to pull them up.
âBreathing isnât a priority here.â
She huffs, planting her hands on her hips and giving a final shimmy.
âLooking good is. Besides,â
She admires herself in the mirror.
âJohnny will love it.â
âYeah, he probably cares more about how easy theyâll be to take off, Ishta.â
She grins, running her hands down the smooth fabric.
âYeah. My man, the most efficient guy I know.â
You laugh, shaking your head as she strikes a dramatic pose.
âEfficiencyâtruly the cornerstone of romance.â
âDonât knock it,â
She quips, spinning around to face you.
âHeâs got it down to an art. Makes him a great lover.â
âIshta.â
âI mean seriously, when I'm running late he knows exactly what to-â
âIshta!â
âWhat? Someone has to get laid here, and it sure isn't you!â
You groan in protest, grabbing a throw pillow and launching it at her. She ducks, her laughter ringing out as she returns to inspecting her reflection in the mirror, twisting to check out the back of her pants.
âI think my buttâs getting bigger.â
She declares, completely unfazed.
âArenât we running late?â
You ask, exasperated.
âWeâre fine. Heâs getting us an Uber.â
She replies, adjusting the waistband of her pants with a smug little smile.
âTo Brooklyn? Ouuu, big money.â
You tease, rolling your eyes as you grab your bag.
She grins, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
âI just got him trained right. I'll show you how to do it when you get your own man. Or woman. Or anyone.â
Before you get to have your say her phone dings, and she grabs her keys.
"Câmon, Uberâs here."
You give her one last look before following her out the door, ready for whatever insanity lies ahead.
***
The bar you stand outside of is dingy and small, a stark contrast to the sleek black SUV Johnny arranged for Ishta and you. You raise an eyebrow, already feeling out of place.
âAre you sure this is the place?â
You ask, rocking side to side in your heels, feet already hurting.
âToo good for it?â
Ishta teases.
âNo, just⊠arenât we a little overdressed?â
You reply, glancing down at your outfit. Her red-bottoms are going to get ruined by the sticky floors, and your top is way too low-cut for a place like this.
Ishta smirks, giving you a look.
âYouâll be fine. Besides, if anyone stares for too long, the guys will probably scare them offâ if they are anything like Johnny describes.â
And so, you step hesitantly into the grungy spot, thinking of what shitty liquor you need to get you through the night.
The bar is dim, louder than you expected, the scent of stale beer and fried food heavy in the air. Ishta leads the way with her usual confidence, weaving through the mismatched tables and chairs. You follow, heels catching on the sticky floor, your stomach tightening as she heads toward a table in the back.
Thatâs when you see it: the large black hoodie. The person wearing it is turned away, broad shoulders hunched slightly. Something about the way they hold themselves makes your chest tighten. You tell yourself it canât possibly be him. The odds are ridiculous, almost laughable.
And yet, your feet falter.
Johnny spots Ishta first, lighting up with a grin so wide it makes his eyes crease at the corners, laughter lines deepening across his face. Thereâs a boyish enthusiasm in the way he waves her over, unrestrained and unabashed, like a pet spotting its owner after a long day apart.
You remember her mentioning once, in passing, that he was born the year of the dog. Itâs funny how fitting that feels now. Loyal, eager, a little too earnest. He all but bounces out of his seat, the movement causing a ripple of attention to shift across the table.
The ridiculously pretty man seated next to him glances up first, his expression brightening with easy charm. Across from him, an older man with a beard you could only describe as unnecessarily dramatic turns and nods politely.
Then, the hoodie moves. Your stomach plummets.
Simon.
His expression is unreadable, but the sight of him freezes you in place, and before you realize it, youâre standing there looking like a deer caught in headlights. The rest of the table follows his gaze, looking at you with various degrees of curiosity.
Ishta grabs your arm.
âOh my God. Girl, is that your man? Whatâs wrong? You canât back away now!â
She says in a low voice, dragging you forward before you can recover.
âThat is not my man,â
You hiss back, but it does nothing to stop her relentless pull.
Johnny grins as you both approach, his voice warm and thick with his accent.
âAlmost scared her off, Ghost.â
Ghost?
Your eyes flick to Simon. His jaw tightens, but he doesnât say a word.
Johnny, takes over the introductions.
âThis is Simon. Donât mind him, wasnât properly socialized as a bairn.â
Thereâs some shifting around as the group makes room. To your dismay, Simon stays tucked into one side of the booth, leaving Kyle and Price to scoot out. They pull over chairs from a nearby empty table, and you find yourself awkwardly squeezed beside Simon while Ishta takes the seat across from you.
âFinally nice to put a name to the face.â
Ishta beams at Simon, and you can see the faint flicker of amusement in his eyes, though he doesnât respond. She laughs when Johnny makes a confused face, giving a brief rundown to the table.
âShe says you haven't seen each other since that incident.â
Ishta waves her glass in Simon's direction.
Simon leans back in his seat, mask still up.
âAvoids me like the plague, she does. Mustâve left quite the impression.â
Kyle snorts, leaning forward with an amused grin.
âThatâs just his thing. Simonâs got a talent for being a nuisance, donât you, mate? Knows exactly how to make peopleâs lives hell.â
âOnly when they deserve it.â
Simon replies smoothly.
The table chuckles, but you stay quiet. His knee bumps yours under the table and you shoot him a sharp glance. He doesnât even look your way, focused instead on swirling his drink he hasn't touched. You drink more than you probably should, hoping itâll dull the awkwardness.
Thankfully, the rest of the table carries on without issue, their conversation flowing easily.
âMilitary, huh?â
You ask eventually, your voice quieter than intended.
Simon doesnât look at you, but Johnny leans in with a grin.
âYeah, we're stationed here for a while, so get used to seeing my handsome face around.â
The ease in his tone does little to settle the tension twisting in your chest. Simon doesnât so much as flinch, remaining a stoic, unreadable presence. His silence feels deliberate, heavy, but Johnnyâs brightness seems determined to lighten the mood.
âMaybe youâll even get used to this one,â
Johnny adds playfully.
âThough I wouldnât hold your breath. Heâs got the personality of wet cement.â
That makes you laugh a little, along with the rest of the table. Younod toward Simon.
âSo⊠Ghost. Thatâs a call sign?â
Simon hums, noncommittal, leaving Johnny to fill the silence.
âWish I got something cool like that,â
Johnny says, shooting Simon a look thatâs both teasing and fond.
âGuess he earned it, scary bastard.â
You glance at Simon again. His face gives nothing away.
Ishta leans over and whispers something into Johnnyâs ear, her lips brushing against his ear with a playful familiarity. Whatever she says prompts a crooked grin to spread across his face, his blue eyes lighting up with mischief.
The two of them fall into their own little world, lovebirds whispering and laughing softly, entirely lost to anyone else at the table. Their giddy exchange contrasts sharply with the tension simmering between you and Simon.
You shift in your seat, feeling the press of his knee against yours again. Itâs subtle, almost imperceptible, but the contact makes your pulse quicken. You glance at him out of the corner of your eye, wondering if itâs intentional. If he notices your reaction, he doesnât show it.
Across the table, Price and Kyle keep the conversation flowing, their camaraderie effortless. You envy the ease they seem to find in this dynamic, the sense of belonging that eludes you in this moment.
Eventually, you decide to call it a night.
âThink Iâll head out, guys.â
You say, grabbing your bag. You glance toward Ishta, but sheâs too busy twirling a strand of Johnnyâs hair between her fingers, practically sitting in his lap.
Kyle stands, reaching for his jacket.
âWant me to walk you home, love?â
Before you can answer, Price butts in.
âThink Simonâs closer. Said you're neighbors, right?â
Your mouth goes dry.
âOh, uh. Yeah.â
âHe'll take you home. Don't need Kyle chasing up your dress.â
Simon finally looks at you, dark eyes unreadable. Without another word, he gets up.
***
The train ride back is painfully silent, tension coiling thick between you. Simon doesnât make small talk, doesnât fill the awkward space with meaningless words, and you canât decide if youâre grateful or annoyed.
When you finally reach your apartment, you stop at the door, fumbling with your keys. You unlock it and step inside, turning to offer a polite, âGoodnight.â
Before you can close the door, Simonâs boot wedges into the frame.
âNo kiss goodnight?â
He murmurs, pulling down his mask, voice low.
âDo you always have to be like this?â
You mumble, leaning forward and tilting your head up.
âYou like it.â
He replies, pressing his scarred lips against your glossed ones.
The kiss lingers in your mind longer than it lasts, the warmth still spreading through your limbs. He pulls away, slipping his hands into the pockets of his hoodie. You stand with the door still open,
âOk, well, goodnigh-â
âNot gonna invite me in for a drink?â
The way he says itâlike heâs giving you the option, but he knows exactly how this game goesâbrings a rush of heat to your cheeks. You hesitate for a moment, the weight of the night pressing down on you, but it hits you thenâyouâve been waiting for him to make this move. Simon knows exactly how to push just enough, always teetering on the line between being too much and just enough.
You tilt your head, playing the game, your voice teasing.
âI donât believe in letting strangers into my place, Ghost.â
His jaw tightens at the name, a flash of something flickering behind his eyes, but he recovers quickly, scanning your face with a quiet intensity.
âHit your head, angel? The nameâs Simon, remember?â
âHmm,â
You cock your head, a playful smirk curling on your lips as you tease,
âHmm, doesnât ring a bell, sorry.â
Simonâs expression shifts, eyes narrowing just a fraction as his lips curl into a grin.
âNo? Thought youâd remember it with how many times you say it when Iâve got you bent over that couch.â
âSimon!â
You gasp with a smile.
âGlad to see your memories back, love. Had me worried there for a moment.â
His voice drips with smug satisfaction, fingers creeping around your waist as you step backward into your apartment. His movements mirror yours, closing the distance, the same familiar rhythm between you two. Except this time, the dance ends in your bed, bathed in silvery moonlight that filters through the windows, casting shadows and soft glimmers over the room.
What he says to you in that space, the things he says are as depraved as they are tender, sinful words laced with something softer, gentler. And in that moment, you realize theyâre the sweetest things Simon is capable of offering.
Lying on his chest, you let your thoughts drift, his sparse chest hair tickling the side of your face. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat drums against your ear as your fingers trace lazy circles on his skin. His hand mirrors yours, gently skimming the small of your back in slow, soothing motions.
You enjoy these moments just aas much as the more heated onesâmaybe more. They feel almost domestic, like peeking through the keyhole of something you tell yourself you canât have. But for now, itâs enough. It fills that quiet loneliness you feel some days.
Simon presses a soft kiss to the crown of your head, his lips lingering there for a beat longer than you expect. It feels like him savoring the closeness he so rarely allows himself.
âMind if I sleep here tonight?â
His voice low and casual.
Your body goes stiff before you can stop it, and his hand on your back stills.
âOh,â
You say, forcing a laugh that cracks at the edges.
âDidnât think youâd grown tired of your bachelor setup. What happened? Mattress on the floor finally giving up on you?â
Simon hums, unbothered, his fingers resuming their lazy path.
âFigured Iâd upgrade. You offering?â
Your heart stutters in your chest, and you sit up quickly, putting a small but deliberate distance between you.
âI donât think thatâs a good idea.â
He doesnât move, watching you with hooded eyes, his expression calm, unreadable.
âWhy not? Thought we were comfortable now.â
His tone is deceptively light, but you can hear the challenge beneath it.
âI donât sleep well with someone else in the bed,â You say, crossing your arms, covering your bare chest.
âItâs just a thingâIâm used to having my space.â
âSpace, huh?â
He sits up and leans back against the wall, hands clasped behind his head, looking entirely too at ease.
âDidnât seem to need space a few minutes ago, angel.â
You frown, heat rising to your face.
âThatâs different. Sleeping is⊠itâs personal.â
He smirks, tilting his head slightly.
âAnd what we just did isnât?â
You bite the inside of your cheek, trying to keep your irritation in check.
âYou know what I mean, Simon.â
âNot sure I do,â
His tone is playful, but thereâs a stubborn edge to it now.
âSeems to me like youâre just makinâ excuses.â
âIâm not.â
The words come out sharper than you intended. You sigh, running a hand through his short hair, an apology of sorts.
âItâs just⊠Iâm not ready for that.â
âA lil sleepover?â
He tilts his head. Before you can respond, he grabs your face with one hand, his fingers pressing against your cheeks to make your lips pout.
You yank your head away, sucking your teeth in frustration.
âYouâre impossible.â
He grins, leaning back against the wall like heâs won something.
âAm I? Or are you just makinâ this harder than it needs to be?â
âSimon,â
You snap,
âItâs not about being hard or easy. Itâs about boundaries. Respecting them.â
âBoundaries?â
He raises an eyebrow, the smirk slipping just slightly.
âSince when have we had those?â
Never, you think to yourself. It's a little distressing if you think about it too long, letting a man have such sway on you.
He pulls you closer, his thick arms wrapping around you with an ease that feels as natural as it is intrusive. You donât resist, though. Instead, your fingers trace the inked lines on his forearm, a distraction, an excuse not to look him in the eye.
âThink you got one more in you?â
His voice is low, dipping into something softer, coaxing.
âIâll be out your hair after that.â
You canât help the faint smile that tugs at your lips, even though you hate yourself for giving in so easily. Itâs always like this with himâpushing, pulling, finding that sliver of space where youâre weak enough to let him in.
âYeah,â
You murmur, leaning just slightly into his touch,
âThink I do.â
His lips curve into a grin, satisfied, but he doesnât say anything more. Instead, he pulls you into his lap. And just like always, he gets exactly what he wants.

â LATE NIGHTS & FLASHING LIGHTS !! episode four : participation prize . . .
âĄ. Spotify playlist | Updates, every Friday !! â Vil Schoenheit x reader | Dual pov . .
Setting: 3 years ago . .Â
You looked down at your shoes, the expensive pair the brand that sponsored you had provided for the event of the 'century' they call it, and you just wished mentally you drowned a glass of something to ease your nerves before you got into the car. It was your first award show as an actorâas an official actor, and it was right after your first gig had blown up and a few months after your 4 year relationship with your fiancĂ© had ended.Â
You took a deep breathe, sinking into the leather fabric of the carseat, your anxiety off the charts, you didn't know how to reactâwell you knew you shouldn't react in the first placeâall that media training would be for nothing if you fucked up now, and the idea of fucking up in itself made the anxiety boil . . they didn't quite explain what fucking up entails, just not to go againest your brand . . but what even is your brand at this point?
The media was so unpredictable and so was your newfound fanbase, just yesterday you could remember how much of your fanbase turned on you because you joined the influencer to celebrity train by accepting an acting gigâand now you're being praisedâyour anxiety grew as you recalled how many friends had turned on you that day, as the trailer released, and now you're nominated for three different awards for your role? How fucking stupid.Â
You could hear the cheers of the crowd as the car closed in on the red carpet, and you found it overwhelmingâsuddenly the makeup on your face, the designer clothes that weighed you down . . felt all too overbearing for you to take . . but as the car door opened and you were guided outside . . you put your best face on and walked down that carpet, because you got this far, might as well live through it.Â
Time: 1:23 pm Location: arena
Vil sat down on his assigned chair and table at the Arena, a little sigh escaped his lips as he let his nerves finally cool down, he wasn't normally overwhelmed, he worked hard to trample those feelings of unease, anxiety, and perhaps even a bit of envy down to the mud, to the very corner of his very being, so it would never have to be touched. Â
He saw someone in blue, walking towards a table just a bit far from his, and he didn't recognize themâto be fair there were tons of new faces all around, this year has been particularly . . welcoming, if that's what he could even call itâbut he couldnât really make out their face either . . so maybe heâs mistaken.
An hour has passed, and Vil should be sleeping right now, he really fucking should beârelaxing in his new apartment at The Chateau . . it's newly furnished . . his silk bed sheetsâhe's pretty sure he's drowned about half a bottle worth of champagne as the announcer seems to be worse than last year, why do they feel the need to prolong every second possible and yet give the winners less than 30 seconds worth of time to speak?
Time: 3:33 pm Location: arena
You feel sick to your stomach, sitting alone at your tableâyou don't know if it was on purpose, or if the people who were supposed to be sitting beside you just hadn't bothered to turn up for tonight's eventâor if they were ignoring you, your not aware at all and that just made your anxiety so much worse.Â
You honestly felt sick, you haven't even eaten anything just in case you threw up . . and yet right now, that seemed to be affecting you worse, the emptiness in your stomach made you feel weirdly uncomfortable, and yet you couldn't get up, not when your category was so close to being presentedâwhat if your seat was empty when the camera lands on you? What would the people say? What would your sponsors do? What wouldâÂ
"And the winner of best lead actor in a romance filmâ", the announcer fiddled with the envelope, opening it and throwing it somewhere on the stage, "Y/n L/n!"âeveryone started clapping, and for a second all of your surroundings went still, your body stilling from shock and your breathing for the first time in the whole night regulated back to normal . . after all this fucking time it all felt . . okay.Â
You wanted to cry, tears of joy. You didnât. And made your way up to the stage like a rational person.Â
Time: 3:35 pm Location: arenaÂ
Vil stares at you coming up to the stage, the way you struggled up the stairsâbecause of course you didâthe way your shoulders seem to shake just slightly, and how you gulped on screenâso unprofessional . . you looked like you were about to cry . . and that made him feel . . angry? Angry.Â
Vil clenched and unclenched his fists as he leaned back into his chair mumbling, "They look like they're going to break down", and Rook turned to face him, here on attendance in place of his wife, "You got all that from them climbing the stairs?", he asked with a raised brow, drinking his . . whatever that was.Â
âIâm an actor, of course I did.âÂ
Perhaps it was anger, maybe even envy . . or maybe he just hated that he liked looking at youâor your voiceâor . . . Vilâs mind went quiet for a moment.Â
And bitterness washed over him, he was never upset with losing an award, no not since heâs been in and out of therapy but something about losing to an influencer hurt himâhurt his pride, someone who stood on camera for 30 seconds doing little to nothing . . beating him.Â
Wow, way to wreck a man's pride.Â
Vil turned to face you as you walked back, eyeing your every movement . . Did you know you walked weird? At a 30 degree angle to be exact.

Sentimental | George Clarke
Fluff.
Christmas was a time in your life you dread to come around, your dysfunctional family made celebrating and being festive a chore ever since you all grew up. George knew how much Christmas time raised your anxiety levels and decided he'd do something to make you realise that, Christmas is still as magical as it was when you were a child.
Christmas Day was in full swing, the time was 8am, you roll over to face George, already laid smiling at you.
"Merry Christmas baby" he says with a soft smile
"Merry christmas my love" you say back planting a soft kiss on his lips
Without hesitation he wraps your body in his arms, engulfing you like a warm blanket. You snuggle for a few minutes as you decide to get up. You had stayed at George's family home for Christmas this year, you felt out of place but more sane that you would if you were at home right now.
You make your way down the stairs in your watching pjs as you're the first ones down.
"I feel like a little kid again" you smile, cheeks rosy from the excitement as you look at the presents scattered into piles with your stockings on top of them.
"You deserve it, I know Christmas is a touchy thing for you, we wanted to make it special" he smiles, snaking his hand around your waist.
You perch yourself on the sofa as George heads to go wake his sister and parents. You decide to motion yourself towards the kitchen and make everyone a brew, setting them up for the day ahead. You catch a glimpse of yourself in the window as you smile, a feeling of your warmth gushes over you. You finally felt like you belonged somewhere at this time of year, no pressure to stir conversation or keep a brave face.
You place at the drinks on a tray and slide them on the coffee table, you sit and wait. George had been gone a little while you thought, furrowing your brows. Just then he returns, as his smile broadens.
"Follow me" he holds out his hand
You take it, unsure of the reason but you trusted him.
"Trust me a second, I'm going to cover your eyes for this" he says with a soft tone, placing his hands over your eyes
You nod as you shuffle down the hallway, George directing you as you make your way to what seems like the back door. All of a sudden the patio door slides open, the cold December air wafts your face as you grab the door frame, lowering yourself down the step.
"George, what's going on?" You ask giggling
"You'll see, two seconds" he snickers, his tone giggly as if he couldn't contain the excitement about to burst through him.
"Okay, 3,2,1-"
He removes his hands as you blink, suddenly you see what looks like snow, falling from the sky.
"Snow?!" You say shocked
George giggles, you turn round to him to face him. A broad smile plastered on his face.
"I know this time of year takes a toll on you and I understand that. But I will do anything in my power to make sure that every Christmas you have is special and memorable, even if it means buying a thousand snow machines and hiring reindeers" he chuckles as he places a thumb over your cheek
Your eyes swell with tears threatening to drop, you speak no words, instead you crash into George's chest. Gripping him tightly as the tears fall, his hand rubs the back of your head as he rocks you to and fro.
"Thankyou George, I-i don't know what to say" you sniffle
"You're more than welcome beautiful, merry Christmas" he smiles as he looks down at you, planting a kiss on your forehead
"Merry Christmas baby" you reply back as you look in to his baby blue eyes.

đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I love when people say things like 'im gonna be a bitch and choose violence' then spew this kinda thing. Accusing me of picking and choosing which parts of cannon to believe, then actively doing the same (and admitting to it) yourself. đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł This is exactly what I mean by you can't MAKE a person understand.
I grew up on the poor side. I had abusive parents. I was bullied and traumatized. I was an introverted child.
You know who else was all of those things? You know who DIDN'T turn evil? Harry James Potter.
I've studied literature for years and done analysis professionally. I promise, I am not the one with low reading comprehension.
When cannon is written by a TERF and someone blatantly ignores the red flags associated, yeah, I'm gonna assume they've got some (at the very least suppressed) prejudices too.
The Marauders fandom (and HP in general), is about inclusivity and found families. By queering and trans-ing and re-defining characters (especially those who were barely ever mentioned in cannon) the fandom has taken the story (which, frankly, isn't even very well written) and made it into something beautiful.
If you don't want to see shit like this, then don't. That's the beauty of filters and blocking. Curate you're spaces. Fandoms should be fun and therapeutic.
Happy Holidays everybody!
okay, hold my drink *hands u cursed ancient goblet full of mead* i gotta talk my shit for a second.
ive been seeing a lot of severus snape love recently. and this is fine, obviously, y'all can love whomever you want. but. i need to rant or i will explode. if we're talking about canon. severus snape spends his adult years, seven books of it in fact, abusing children. and his excuse for this is the girl he loved (tho not enough not to join a group actively trying to exterminate her) fell for the hot jock instead of him (a tragedy indeed, i weep 4 him, i really do). and also she died, which, admittedly is very sad.
it is simply crazy 2 me 2 look at that and think *romance* or *genuine care and affection*. LIKE. fo real. snape calls her a slur in public, apologizes in private, hangs out with dudes who commit hate crimes against her friends (CANONICALLY, she says "you've been hanging out with that douchebag Mulciber, how could you do that after what he did to Mary???" this is not a direct quote but like, it's close enough). lame. loser behaviour.
"Oh but what about regulus" i can hear you say "he loves James potter but snape doesn't love lily???" well. idk. maybe. bit different tho, innit? due to james not being the demographic regulus is attacking (which doesn't make regulus a better person but does make the dynamic between him and james different). ALSO. Regulus chooses to turn against voldemort without hope for anything in return. snape doesn't seem to give a shit about voldemort, he's just sad he's not gonna get to bang lily evans. he switches sides for that reason alone. also doesn't care about what happens to her husband or her son which like. considering lily would be pretty fucking destroyed if they died. once again points to my whole, he doesn't really give a shit about her, theory. lame. loser. behaviour.
also. im sorry. I"M SORRY. but what snape does to neville? to hermione? to harry? gross. a grown ass man out here telling an eleven year old neville he's worthless or hermione she's ugly and annoying. or spilling harry's potion and refusing to grade him for it???????????????
reg and draco are children when we see them at peak suckage and therefore they feel like they can be redeemed much more compellingly (CAN be, not SHOULD be, not HAVE to be, just narratively i think they are easier to turn into interesting, sympathetic characters). but snape? snape grows up into a garbage adult. like he doesn't get better. and again, the only real excuse we're given is his obsession with lily. not very demure. not very cutesy.
ALSO. yall remember that time he got a destitute, struggling Remus Lupin fired from the best job he ever had just because he felt like it? remember that time snape weaponized Remus's lycanthropy and people's prejudice against him just cause. like. literally just cause??? his ego was bruised after the shrieking shack incident so he was like "get wrecked Lupin I'm going to tell everyone your secret so you will be forced back out onto the streets" DO YALL REMEMBER THAT BITCH ASS MOVE????????? THAT HE DID AS A FULL ADULT.
IN CONCLUSION, this is silly and, of course, like i said at the start, everyone can have their own thoughts and feelings about characters, but i simply needed to interject here on behalf of snape haters everywhere because i feel like so much of snape's shitty behaviour as an adult during a time when he was really under no duress and was very safe and cozy, is ignored. and my hater heart just cannot let that stand.

baby itâs cold outside | birds of a feather
pairings: paige bueckers x black!oc
summary: the snow + no parents + drew = snowball fight
warning: fluff/none
notes: happy holidays!!
"Baby," Paige whispered as she shook a sleeping Cecilia. "Babe, wake up. It's snowing."
Cecilia moaned and peeled an eye open to look at the blonde. Cecilia stretched her arm out and pulled Paige on top of her, wrapping her arms around the tall blonde like a koala. "Stay in bed. It's warm."
"But it's snowing! When's the last time you've been here when it snowed?" Paige exclaimed, slightly muffled as her face was shoved into Cecilia's neck.
"Literally last year," Cecilia responded, finally opening her eyes to peer down at the tall basketball player.
Paige lifted her head to meet her girlfriend's eyes, "That was a whole year ago. We have to go outs-"
Paige was cut off by Cecilia's lips meeting hers. Paige's hand cupped Cecilia's cheek, her thumb brushing against her skin as her other hand found its way to the small of her back to anchor Cecilia to her body. Cecilia's fingers wove into Paige's hair, the kiss deepening slowly without a sense of urgency. Every brush of lips and longing touches of skin felt natural and instinctive. Paige rolled them over so Cecilia was lying on top, Cecilia broke the kiss her fingers danced on the hem of her shirtâ
"Cece! Paige! It's snowing," Drew yelled through the door, sleep still in his voice. "Let's go play!"
Paige groaned as Cecilia let out a chuckle, "Be out in a minute, Drew. Go brush your teeth." Cecilia went to roll off of Paige but was stopped by two strong pair of arms.
"Such a cockblock," Paige muttered making Cecilia laugh. The corner of Paige's mouth twitched up as Cecilia left numerous kisses all over her face before getting up.
"C'mon Amor, let's go make breakfast then we can go outside."
"Oh, so when Drew ask it's and automatic yes?"
Cecilia's eyebrow quirked as a teasing smile grew on her face, "Of course. He's actually cute." She slipped on a pair of Paige's sweatpants and her own Barca hoodie.
Paige's mouth dropped making Cecilia laugh as she opened the door and began her descent to the kitchen to make breakfast. Paige quickly rushed behind her grabbing onto her girlfriend and spinning her around.
Paige now had Cecilia upside down, over her shoulder. "Say I am the cutest person you've ever seen in your entire life."
Cecilia's laughs filled up the kitchen, "No! It's my baby Drew. Drew!"
Drew came down the stairs, half dressed in his snow pants. "Paige! Put Cece down now!"
Paige let out a laugh before picking Drew up so she now had both over her shoulder. The two laughed as Paige set them down on the counter.
"Waffles, anybody?" Paige asked, moving to grab the waffle mix and a mixing bowl. Cecilia hopped off the counter, picked Drew giving him a kiss on the cheek before setting him down.
"Can I have blueberries in mine?" Drew jumped up and down, giving Paige the puppy dog eyes.
Paige mimicked his words in a high pitched voice, "Canihaveblueberriesinmin- Drew it's a snow day, meaning, we can do anything we want. Go watch some TV, we'll call you when breakfast is done."
Drew let out a cheer of victory as Cecilia rolled her eyes and added blueberries to the waffle batter. After a quick breakfast that included Drew adding a ridiculous amount of syrup to his waffles, the trio cleaned up and found themselves sprawled out on the couch.
"Paige, Cece," Drew whispered, "can we play outside?"
Paige couldn't help but smirk and send Cecilia a look. "Ask Cece, Drew."
Cecilia sent a deathly glare to her girlfriend before sweetly looking to Drew who hit her with the puppy dog eyes. "Cece? Can we please go outside and play?"
Cecilia winced, knowing the Bueckers siblings had won this battle. "Yeah Drew let's go outside. Go bundle up."
Cecilia glared at her girlfriend who smiled in victory. "You're awful."
"Yeah, yeah, let's go get you some winter clothes."
The snow covered park was a winter wonderland, that was opportunity for many things. Cecilia knelt down next to Drew, who was dressed head to toe in snow gear with a puffy scarf, a wool beanie, and mittens. Cecilia shaped the second snowball for their snowman, while Drew was busy packing snow onto the base.
Paige watched the two from afar, crouched near the playground with a mischievous grin growing on her face. Her glove-clad hands shaped the perfect, compact snowball as she peaked over her shoulder to assure her target was still distracted.
Cecilia's laughter rang out as she adjusted the snowman's middle section. "It's looking great, Drew! Just a little more snow, andâ"
A snowball struck Cecilia's shoulder, sending a puff of white powder into the air. She froze mid-sentence, her hand still on the snowman. Drew's wide eyes darted from Cecilia to where Paige was poorly hiding, her loud laughter giving her away.
"Amor!" Cecilia gasped, spinning around. "You're going to regret that!"
Paige popped up from her hiding spot, her grin as bright as the winter sun. "Only if you can catch me!" she taunted, already forming another snowball.
Cecilia grabbed a handful of snow, shaping it with lightning speed. "Drew, you're on my team!" she declared.
"Wait, what?" Drew barely had time to react before Cecilia launched her snowball. Paige ducked, laughing as it missed her by inches.
"You're going to need better aim than that!" Paige called, tossing her own snowball that splattered harmlessly on the ground near Drew.
Drew hesitated for a moment, then shrugged, a gleam of excitement in his eyes. "Sorry, Paigey. You're outnumbered now!" He scooped up snow and started pelting her with a flurry of poorly aimed snowballs.
Paige dodged and laughed, retreating further into the park. "You'll never take me alive!"
Cecilia and Drew chased her, their snowball barrage relentless. Soon, all three were laughing so hard they could barely throw straight. The snowman stood forgotten, a silent witness to the chaos of their snowy battlefield.

obsessive & perverted exbf!rafe sneaking into your house to remind you heâs the only one allowed to touch you
cw : dark!rafe x fem!reader, noncon, forced penetration, unprotected sex, rough, creampie
Rafe was crouching down by the flower pot, just like he used to when you two were together, feeling for the little metal key you always hid there before finally finding it. Every step up the stairs brought him closer to you, and the voice in his head grew louder. It wasn't just obsession; it was need. A sick, twisted need to own you, to claim you again, to prove to himself that you hadn't slipped through his fingers completely.
When he reached your bedroom and saw you lying there, so peaceful, so oblivious, a wave of shame washed over him. He knew this was wrong. He knew he shouldn't be here, shouldn't even be thinking about touching you. But the voices were taking over him.
Rafe stepped closer, his hand trembling as he reached out to touch your cheek, just like this random guy did earlier today which is why Rafe was even here in the first place. You were doing this on purpose. You had to be. Why else would you be so friendly, so flirty, right in front of him? Did you really think you could move on? Did you think he would let you?
As he climbed onto the bed, his weight barely shifting the mattress, his thoughts turned darker. He hated you for making him feel like this, hated you for pushing him to the edge. But more than anything, he hated the idea of you forgetting him. Of you giving that smile, that laugh, that body to someone else. "You're mine," he whispered, his voice rough as his hand slid down your side. "You don't get to pretend like you're not."
His hand wandered down your body, rough and possessive as he claimed what he believed was still his. Gripping your pink lace panties he pulled them down to your ankles, revealing your perfect little cunt to him. The sight almost making him cum in his pants. It had been way to long since he got to touch you like this.
You woke up with a gasp as you felt cold digits slipping through your folds, eyes wide with confusion and fear. At first, you thought you were still dreamingâit had to be a dream. Rafe wasn't here. He wasn't allowed to be here.
But his obsession had consumed him completely. He pinned your wrists above your head, his lips brushing against your ear as he whispered, "Don't look at me like that, angel. You knew this would happen. You knew I wouldn't let you go.â
Your breath hitched as his grip on you suddenly roughened, flipping you on your tummy and pressing your face into the pillows, while every gasp, every tear, every tremble of your resistance only fueled him further. This was how he claimed you, how he reminded you who you belonged to.
Youâd broken things off weeks ago, desperate to escape the toxic spiral of your love. Rafe wasn't just possessiveâhe was dangerous. He consumed you, broke you, shaped you into something you barely recognized.
"Rafe, please," you whispered, voice shaking as you heard the buckle of his belt. "Don't do this." But he didn't listen. He never listened. "Shh," he said, his voice soft but firm, like he was scolding a child. "This is where you belong. You know it is."
Your stomach twisted at his words, holding onto the sheets of your bed as you felt the tip of his cock push past your entrance. You wanted to fight back, to scream, to push him awayâbut deep down, you knew it was useless. He was stronger than you, both physically and mentally. He always had been.
As his hands gripped your hips, forcing you to submit, tears welled in your eyes, but Rafe didn't see them. Or maybe he did, and he just didn't care. To him, this was love. Twisted and consuming, but love nonetheless. He made you his doll, his perfect little angel, molding you into whatever he needed you to be. And even now, after everything, you let him. It was pathetic.
He let out a deep growl once he was fully inside you, your cunt gripping him tightly even though you wanted to vomit, your body tensing up. âShit angel, this fucking pussy missed my cock, huh?â
You cried, shaking your head uncontrollably as if it was just a bad dream, âstop, pleaââ you yelped as he pulled your back up against his chest, Rafeâs palm finding your mouth immediately and shutting you up, not wanting to wake up your parents, who were sleeping peacefully down the hallway.
He kept on pounding into you at a rough pace, hitting so deep that you knew your walls would be permanently outstretched, your abused cunt throbbing around him, despite the disgust you felt for your ex. "You think you can just forget about me?" he whispered, his voice low and breathy, one of his hands gripping your hips so hard that he knew thereâd be bruises, wanting to leave his marks on you. "Flirt with some guy like I don't exist?"
His face was so close to yours, loving the sight of your tired and tear stained face, looking so small and helpless beneath him while little whimpers and cries left your lips. It was sick. He was sick.
There was nothing you could really do except take it. He was trapping your body with his hands, tightly holding you in place. he kept pushing and pushing until he the tip of his cock hit your cervix, your cunt squeezing him tightly as your fear slowly turned into something like pleasure.
You tried to you remind yourself that this wasn't love. It wasn't passion. It was control, manipulation, obsession. But a small, dark part of youâthe part you tried to bury, to forget, whispered that maybe this was exactly what you deserved. You knew Rafe was anything else than okay, and yet you let yourself fall for him, and look where that got you.
âFuck you like that shit, donât you? Your eager pussy is holding onto me so hard, baby. Such a cockslut.â
It seemed like there was no end in sight. Except you felt something build up in your abdomen, your walls clenching around his cock as you shakily released all over him, creaming his cock. Rafe couldnât hide his smirk, the way your body was reacting to his touch had him weak, hips bucking into you more irregularly as he was chasing release himself.
"Fuck", Rafe muttered against your shoulder, his voice a low, guttural growl. "You're perfect. Gonna fill you to the brim.â Panic shot through you, squirming in his grip but he held you in place. His thrusts became slightly faster, each one more forceful, driving himself closer to the edge. Your body tensed, your moans muffled against the palm of his hand as you felt his cock twitch, Rafe moaning out as hot ropes of his cum spilled inside your plush walls.
Your cunt was aching as he pulled out, some of his seeds dripping out and onto your velvet sheets. To Rafe it was a sight sent from heaven itself, seeing you all fucked out on your bed, knowing he was the one that got you like this.
All you could do was lay still, your body trembling as Rafe's weight completely shifted off of you. You didn't move, didn't speak as he buckled his pants, eyes focused on you while his heart was still racing. "Thatâs what happens when you forget," he said, his voice cold but satisfied. "You're mine, angel. Don't make me remind you again."
You let out a quiet sob, tears soaking the silk of your pyjamas as you curled into yourself. Even though Rafe hated to see you like this he felt a weird sense of satisfaction. You were his. Youâd always be his. And if youâd ever try to forget, heâd be there to remind you again. Because the thruth was; you could never really escape him.
