Oh! I do have one request in mind, how about Percy being paired with reader who’s the child of Athena? Yes, yes, I know an amazing half-blood known as Annabeth exists but I had something in mind.

We all know how children of Athena are seen as wise, intellectual, clever, and combative people but what if the reader was different than that? There’s several types of intelligence after all, so what if they specialized in emotional intelligence and craft?

I can see them being insecure of their “abilities” since they know their siblings can do better, and even fear that Athena herself is disappointed in them, but, while Percy thought it was strange at first, he soon found himself enjoying those traits.

I mean, with their emotional intelligence, the reader knows when he’s upset no matter how hard he tries to hide it, and they tend to give him gifts like Melinoe!reader. They’re probably usually architectural models, weavings, mini sculptures of what he enjoys… You know all that good stuff. They probably gifted him something as something to remember them by when he went on a quest… but I’ll leave that up to you.

Combat practice to bond/as dates 👀?

Also, I’m not sure if you saw, but I like long headcanons so stop apologizing and keep it up!/lh

I literally LOVE these detailed asks UGGHHH!! I love the idea of instead having a different form of intelligence as a child of athena like damn😍 I'm getting used to brain dumping on these, its a work in progress🙈

Lowkey this reader sticks out like a sore thumb amongst their siblings😭

I like to think that most Athena kids are usually on the more serious sides, so it surprises a lot of campers outside of the Athena cabin to see Reader extremely expressive!

While the other Athena children spend their time devising tactical plans for big camp games, reader is just on the side doodling architectural designs and whatnot

They aren’t as involved in what their siblings do because it doesn’t interest them much

Like whenever they try and ask for readers opinions and start using big ass words, they just smile and nod cuz they had no idea what the others were saying

Athena's children are extremely intelligent so its difficult for reader to be on the same wave length as their siblings

It lowkey makes them feel like an outcast in their cabin because they cant really connect with their siblings like they do with each other while they talk about subjects beyond reader’s comprehension

Constantly being surrounded by books, scrolls and maps full of knowledge, reader often beats themselves over not being able to comprehend and show interest in wanting to learn about these types of things

They’re led to believing that they are a defect amongst their mothers children (crying)

They are always surrounded by reminders of their own inabilities to match their sibling’s intelligence which is why they spend little time in the Athena cabin, and even littler time with their siblings

Readers only saving grace is that they are always in tune with peoples emotions and feelings, no matter how well or little they know the people around them

Whether its feelings of anxiousness, sadness, quiet anger, or happiness, reader always seems to know how a person is feeling!

The first time Percy meets reader is when he spots them at the crafting hut

Being one of his first activities in the beginning of the day, he notices how reader is always there before anyone else

Percy probably thought you were apart of the Hephaestus cabin or something like that with how many times he’s seen you sculpting and carving away at a new project every other day

So he’s surprised when you reveal that you’re actually a child of Athena

He would definitely notice how you distance yourself from your siblings, especially during breakfast, lunch and dinner

He’s good friends with Annabeth so he sees the differences between you, her and your siblings

While she and her siblings are more closed off and have their noses stuck up a new book everyday, your always seen drawing or weaving a new tapestry for your cabin

You show your emotions more openly compared to their more dismissive nature as well!

He definitely sees you as the 'social butterfly' of the Athena cabin

The more time he spends with reader though, he notices just how in tune they are with his feelings

He could give the smallest, most insignificant indication that he's had a bad day and you'd be able to read him like an open book

It's easy talking to you about his conflicting emotions, your patience and thoughtful expression gives him more confidence to just let everything out

I think he would definitely fall for how empathetic you are in many situations

You've made many friends with campers from different cabins because of this quality trait! Always learning and understanding a situation/conflict that arises, you're always able to resolve the problems that makes it fair for all parties involved

Despite this, Percy is confused and a bit surprised to find out that you're actually insecure about this dominating trait of yours

"What?! It's literally the best thing about you though!"

"I know but its just! My siblings aren't the way I am. They're able to actually use their skills for something. All I can do is listen to people and make friends. That's nothing special. I'm useless."

It PAINS him to hear you say that because its obvious you don't understand the importance of being as emotionally intelligent as you are

He makes it his mission to show you just how many people you've helped, to show you that you have a reason to be proud of what you're able to do!

You slowly open yourself more after hearing all his reassurance, from him and other people around camp

It's definitely a positive change as you have a pep to your step now. You engage with you siblings more now that you have a confidence in your own abilities.

You make him many sculptures as thank you gifts! Even when he says that you don't need to, you cant help admit that enjoy giving him these gifts with a nervous smile

You've made him a mini version Riptide and even have given him a small owl pendant

You were hesitant to give him the pendant because it seemed more intimate compared to your other gifts, but he happily accepted it with a soft smile

AND WHEN HE PUT THE PENDANT ON IN FRONT OF YOU YOUR HEART NEARLY LEPT OUT OF YOUR CHEST I CCANNTTT

I think reader would be pretty aware of Percy's feelings for them which makes them feel fuzzy

So imagine how you feel when Percy pulls up to you one late afternoon after not seeing him for the entire day to give you a small pendant of his own

The sculpting of the trident is definitely more crude and less detailed compared to the one you gave him, something Percy abashedly admits but you wave him off

"It's beautiful, thank you Percy."

"No problem, now we're matching!"

You're aware of your own feelings for him as you are aware of his feelings for you, so it doesn't take long for a confession to happen

Everyone tells you college is great;its a place full of new experiences,a new life. Having coffee with friends after lectures and studying together,or simply doodling in your notebook as the professors talk about gods know what.

But as you sip your third cup of coffee that night and rub your eyes while yawning,you glance down at the remaining pages you have to go through before your exam in two days,before you groan and bang your head to the table.

Its exam season,and you're currently sitting in the library at 3:04 am.

College sucks so bad.

You know you have tomorrow to study as well,but between working part time job at a near the campus cafe, and going to lectures,you barely had any time to study.

You stared at your empty cup of coffee and sighed before standing up;then you guess its time to get a refill

"wow,you look like shit."

You dont raise your head from the desk as you groan at your friend.

"hello to you too,Nami."

Nami drops his bag next to you with a 'Thump' and settles down. You feel her hand rub up and down your back (almost awkwardly) and through your misery you manage to crack a smile;being comforting is like a physical torture for your ginger friend.

"did you pull another all nighter?"

Slowly,your head turns in her directly and you narrow your eyes.

"not everyone can be both gorgeous and smart effortlessly like you,Nami. Us, lowly humans,have to choose one." You ignore her eye roll and continue, "and i choose the one that can get me a good job in the future."

"looks can be pretty useful too,honey."

"I'm going to choke you."

You're too busy to bicker that you dont even notice the door of the class opening and a new person stepping inside. Just as Nami's about to wrap her arm your neck and choke you instead, that's when your eyes land on the new person in the class.

And your breath stops all together.

The first thing that catches your eyes is his green hair. The man is tall,and a mess of green hair making his brown eyes stand out more. There are three golden piercings on his left ear. His black leather jacket looks expensive,and you dont need to see the key to guess that he's probably owns a motorcycle..

"y/n!" You realize you've been staring shamelessly at the man and suddenly whip your head in Nami's direction.

"Nami!" You grip her shoulders and shake her violently, "who's that?!why havent i seen him around?do you know him??is he single???!!"

Nami shoulders off your hands and looks at you like you've grown a second head.

"He's Zoro Roronoa. Our classmate. You haven't seen him cause he almost never shows up at lectures. What the hell is wrong with you exactly?"

"what's wrong with me is that the man is drop dead gorgeous," you frown at her, "and geez girl. How do you know so much about him?"

"cause he's my "kinda friend". We go out drinking together sometimes."

"WHAT?!"

Your shriek is so loud,that when you turn around, you see mr.gorgeous is eyeing you with annoyance.

Great. Your new crush thinks you're crazy.

You duck your head as your cheeks burn with embarrassment. Nami rubs your back sympathetically and you groan tiredly.

"want me to introduce you to him?"

"hell no," you whine and rest your cheek against your desk; letting the surface cooling down your heated skin, "he obviously hates my guts now."

"to be fair,Zoro hates everybody's guts."

"its just a crush Nami," you flash her a smile, "it'll go away eventually."

Unfortunately,it in fact,doesnt go away eventually.

After your embarrassing moment in the classroom,you seem to run into Zoro awfully alot; Whether it be getting a coffee from the near campus cafe,or working your shift there,you seem to always see him.

Zoro liked his coffee black,that was no surprise. The first time that you surved him the black hell,he hadnt even batted an eye at your shakey hands or your stutter.

And you were certain that he had forgotten all about you.

Among the finals creeping close and closer,and with you drowning yourself under your books until morning before going back to your lectures or job,you had completely forgotten all about him.

So when you drop your head on your text book at almost 4 am and try hard not to burst into tears or having a mental breakdown in the almost empty library,you almost scream when a warm can of coffee touches your cheek.

Your head snaps up,and your mouth parts into a small scream that soon gets an ugly glare from the librarian. You shoot her an apologizing look,before turning your head back to the person in front of you.

Zoro freaking Roronoa,holds the coffee in his hand and gives you an unimpressed annoyed look.

"why are you always so loud?"

You dont answer;your mouth hangs open from the shock,and you blink a few times to make sure you're not hallucinating.

"what," you clear your throat, "i,uh, excuse me?"

Zoro rolls his eyes and sits down in front of you while dropping his own backpack on the table. He then slides the drink in front of you and while folding his arms across his chest,he eyes you for a second before looking away.

"you look like a mess. Figured you needed some coffee," he gives you a displeased look from the corner of his eyes, "or some sleep."

Your hands wrap themselves around the warm can;and a small laugh escapes your dry lips.

"you think i can sleep with all these books?i can barely manage between lectures and my part time job with only two hours of sleep as it is!" And for some reason,your stupid brain decides that its a great idea to cry in front of your crush;as if you haven't embarrassed yourself before. So your lower lip starts to wobble,and you let out a small sniffle.

There's a moment of silence;where neither of you say a word. With you starting to finally breakdown,and Zoro just glaring at the textbooks like they had personally offended him. Finally,after a while,you hear him sigh and look up at him with your blurry vision.

"... I'll help you."

"what?"

Another sigh.

"i said, I'll help you study. Im familiar with this stuff,so it'll be nothing."

You let out a loud gasp and stand up from your sit .

"Seriously?!wont you need that time to study?!"

"helping you makes me remember these stuff. It'll be alright."

And when you hold his hands in his,you grin so widely that you feel your cheeks hurting. You shake his hands and laugh lightly.

"thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!"

"yea yeah." He shakes off your hands and stands up,and amongst your joy,you manage to catch a small smile on his lips. Zoro flings his backpack on his shoulder and walks away. He gives you one last look and says "go home and rest for now. See you tomorrow."

And suddenly,the world doesnt seem so bad. College doesn't suck,and your crush, apparently,doesnt hate your guts after all.

I admit I imagined a very young child (4-5) who has a sort of selective mutism. And since you asked for brothers and side characters, I assume you wanted headcanons.

Lucifer

Lucifer gets mistaken for the child's father all the time, often cited as having their same scowl. He took it upon himself to learn how to read their unchanging expression, and takes personal offense to anyone who believes MC's expressions are all the same. He's gotten their exchanges down so carefully that he can almost read MC's mind.

Mammon

He hasn't the first clue how to make this kid smile, but he has never stopped trying. He loves kids, even if he acts like all of them are brats in his eyes. He will do just about anything to try and see them smile, but they simply don't/can't. However, everything is worth it when he's walking around the house and realizes that MC is following him around like a baby chick. He will fall into the fetal position and weep with joy, then brag about it for the rest of the week.

Leviathan

He curls up on the floor and cries whenever MC stares at him. He's such a loser that even a child can see it. He feels so judged. What he doesn't realize though, is that MC likes hanging out with him because he recognizes what character they are doodling and can actually talk about the things they like. They just want to sit next to him and show him their drawings and watch TV with him.

Satan

Satan would, somehow, be the most fatherly of the brothers. He learned very quickly that MC isn't very expressive or even verbal sometimes, so he helps them express themselves nonverbally. No pushing, just giving them alternative tools to communicate. He also reads and cooks a lot for them. He would be the first one they actually start speaking to. Not a lot at first, but small things like greetings are a good start.

Asmodeus

Children are not dolls… but MC is just too cute not to spoil and dress up. He is a little unnerved by the lack of expressions or communication, but he overlooks it. He gets frustrated when MC doesn't play along though (like they won't wear a certain shirt or something). They hide when he's like that. Although, they like when he lets them play with the pretty stuff on his vanity. Or when he (very rarely) let's them put it on him (before he fixes it).

Beelzebub

MC is the only one that could take food from Beel's plate and not lose a hand. He's also the only one who would get clay dumplings and eat them for real. MC just stares when he eats them... they think they're a good cook now. Their icy demeanor doesn't bother him. Also, MC climbs Beel when they want to try being tall.

Belphegor

Sometimes, they will just stare at one another. No one understands it. No one tries to. They seem to have a sort of understanding that no one else can. Belphie doesn't treat MC like a kid so they try to act more mature than they really are. There are lots of naps between the two of them, usually with Belphie holding MC close.

Diavolo 

This is called kidnapping, Diavolo. Especially if you took them to another world without notifying their guardian. They would be very scared of Diavolo at first (new place, unfamiliar faces, nothing they recognize) and would walk away as their own form of crying. He tries so hard after that to be a friendly face, but… kids are fickle creatures and they always seem to walk away from him.

Barbatos 

Unlike Diavolo, MC likes Barbatos. It probably helps that he offers them treats every time they meet. They like to sneak into the kitchen while he's cooking and… help… Barbatos has learned to let them decorate the cookies and cupcakes. It makes them feel special. They have covered his apron in little handprints. It makes him feel special.

Solomon

Solomon has taken a special liking to his young human ward. He especially likes how deadpan their reactions are and how innocently and straightforward they respond to others. He laughs whenever MC walks away from people they don't like. He gave them a little wand to start practicing their magic and he loves the way they keep doing the same spells over and over again just to watch the result.

Simeon

He's already raising Luke, so another kid is no problem. He doesn't seem to have much of a reaction to their expressionless face, still smiling when they seem curious or gently scolding when they do something inconsiderate. He and Satan both take the title as best caretaker.

Luke

He's so happy to finally be the older brother. He wants to teach them everything! He gets upset when they don't smile or say thank you, and often has to be told that not every child is like him and that's okay. He'll get it eventually and be the best big brother ever… eventually.

For Valentino, I’m not sure. I’m debating whether it should be younger Bambi or Ronno’s VA. But he basically has an actual kid’s voice this time rather than a deep-sounding one. (Because honestly, I found that a bit weird personally). For the the other characters, I don’t really mind the voices they have canonically.

And I think I’ve mentioned this before, but even though Sueño can’t speak, I could hear him singing this in this voice hypothetically.

Yeah, I do actually. Some characters have a different outfit to better reflect their current context. (Like how Sakina would have work clothes similar to Asha.) But I don’t want to reveal most of them at the moment since I would like to keep them a secret for now.

……. 10. What made Amaya fall in love with Magnifico? What changed?

Amaya had a family who greatly discouraged her interest in studying magic and potions since it’s against what their family has done for generations. Meanwhile, Magnifico who was adopted as Rosas’ prince, is expected to learn magic but COULDN’T because he struggles to do so since he hasn’t moved on from his trauma.

When these guys were around 16-15 years old, they were mutual best friends. Mag offers Amaya to read from his magic books while he finds comfort in just having a genuine friend who doesn’t remind or push expectations onto him that he hears everyday in the castle. She’s like an escape from the stresses he has in there.

In their future years, Amaya grew to fall in love with someone who promised her the world if she only asked for it. She finds bits of herself in Mag, as both were people with crushed dreams that deserve better. (In their POV anyway.)

Falling in love was not at all what she expected since she used to believe sympathy would only hold her back from exploring the limits of magic. But you know, Amaya’s as much as a tragic character as Magnifico is.

The only reason Espino, the royal cat, is in the castle is because Amaya wanted him around. Otherwise, if it were up to Mag, that cat is out to the streets. He’s not very fond of animals and he considers them as pests. Though, Espino gets small bonus points from Magnifico just because he keeps the castle clear from mice which he especially hates.

22. Give some more lore on Asha’s father. Are you keeping him as close to the source material as possible? Will we see him in flashbacks or something?

You’ll definitely get to see Tomás at certain points in the story. Either in the short prologue, mentions and flashbacks. He’s generally a friendly guy but at the same time, is also assertive to defend what he thinks is wrong. But even though his life was cut short, Tomás ended up inspiring more people than he thinks. Especially his old friend, Sabino, who hasn’t given another wish or attended any more wish ceremonies after his death.

I don’t think we really knew much about Asha’s father at all in the canon movie, but I’ll pretty much be close to what is depicted there already with some more detail on how he made an influence in the lives of those he loves.

Not all Wishing Stars have the strong desire to venture down into the human realm someday and that’s completely fine. They can still guide their wishmaker from above. But for those who do want to, they need to answer one important question first:

“Why do you grant wishes?”

Since they would be going down to earth by themselves ALONE with none of their elders to guide them this time, their answer to this question serves as their anchor in case they get lost or distracted. Answers do vary and some may be the same among stars, but that’s fine. As long as they’re sincere with all their core on their answer. Some examples may be: “I like to see them reach their very best and reap their deserved rewards.” Or “I like watching them journey and discover themselves.”

I’m not exactly sure how different her opinions would be on each of them since I think we all decided to have our fun with Magnifico just being a shameless show-off and fun evil villain. I’ll try though.

Amaya would think KOW!Mag reminds her a lot of her own husband, also short-tempered and a disgustingly sweet romantic at times. She’s kind of a play-hard-to-get girl though 😂. One thing she does notice is that what WRTS!, Wish Granted! And KOW!Mag have in common is how loud they are with their ceremonies. Is that a universal Magnifico thing? Eh. There sure is a lot of interesting knowledge to learn from these universes. Hmmm.

TKoRaT!Maggy has that same pained look that falls on RFTS!Mag whenever he’s sulking by himself and needs time alone. Usually it’s because of his old village trauma. It’s an intriguing but ever so familiar cycle she recognises well.

Meanwhile. TFS!Mag is……different, she would say. Not exactly good different. I kinda imagine her eyeing this guy like a cat. This Mag just gives off a very different vibe of non-ruthlessness(?) that she’s not used to.

30. Same for Mag, but vice versa.

RFTS!Mag gets very very very familiar vibes with KOW! And Wish Granted!Amaya. He finds it slightly amusing since it feels like his wife just became a part of some triplets. (He jokingly asked RFTS!Amaya if she had any sisters she never told him. The woman wasn’t amused. She doesn’t really like being reminded of her family.) I’m sorry TKoRaT! And TFS!Amaya, but you’ve made the decision to adopt Asha as your daughter and so he thinks lower of you now. Although…the TKoRaT!couple might just get to redeem themselves for that since they sound interesting enough. They’re going to have the ditch the girl though at some point.

WRTS!Amaya just feels off. He doesn’t know what exactly though? Is he losing his mind or something? Ugh, I think he could use devouring another Wish Bubble just in case…

31. You know what, for Asha and Sueño too!

Oh boy, here we go. 😂

Asha will NOT be able to handle Wish Granted!Star’s energy. It’s so different from the silent but still lively conversations she has with her Starboy. Star just can’t bring himself to stop talking, can he? 😅 Asha thinks WRTS!Aster and TKoRaT!Star are adorable. Cielo may be a bit much at times with his light teasing and flirting, but she’s aware he means well.

I could see Asha’s non-hesitant empathy, patience and genuine concern to Haedus would be a huge comfort for the poor guy. (Trust me, she’s done this plenty before.) She’s a bit surprised to see Naos and Nembus but I think they’d get along just fine. She’s pretty good with playing with kids from her experience with a mischievous Valentino. And lastly, KOW!Aster is a total sweetheart that she jokingly comments could rival Sueño’s. (That comment caught Sueño’s attention quickly lmao.)

MEANWHILE:

Sueño is more hesitant and unwilling at first to approach humans by his own accord. He’ll still keep a short distance buuuut… if they’re just another version of Asha, it can’t be that horrible, right?

KOW!Asha’s drawings are a familiar sight for him and he’s impressed that she could bring her own drawings to life. Same goes for WRTS!Asha with her magic wand. Maybe they’re friendly… Maybe they could both do that together :D He’s neutral with Wish Granted! And Aled’s Asha for now until he gets to know them better.

Sueño recognises that same shyness and timid nature in TKoRaT!Asha. (It’s weird how she does the same thing RFTS!Asha does of turning their head away and hiding behind their hair when he innocently just looks her way.)

And then there’s…….HER. TFS!Asha. Cielo talks about her a lot….😬. But you know, that girl scares him.

Unfortunately, Sueño is staying a relatively farther distance away from the last two Ashas I mentioned. Why? Idk, probably the fact that they’re the daughter of Mag and Amaya-

I have a feeling you did this so he could finally find out what his name, ‘Sueño’ translates into. Lol, nope. Not yet he’s not.

33. Will Asha ever attempt to learn Celestial? Maybe with a candle? Like Morse Code? Idk.

Idk. Speaking Celestial is really just stars exchanging screechy sound waves to each other telepathically like words, while their glowing sequences indicates the mood and tone of what they’re saying. Maybe if Asha comes to learn how to harness light magic on her own, she’ll be able to at least convey emotions such as happiness in it by controlling the brightness and duration of each flash.

35. How are you planning out your story?

I usually think of what main message I’m trying to get across first and build the story around it. After some character and world-building stuff (that I keep adding to because procrastination), I put the key scenes I could think of in bullet-point format and then just think up some in-between scenes that could occur between those points.

Usually though, the most usual process is that a random concept/idea pops into my head and then I immediately type it down so I won’t forget it. It’s basically my thing now to organise the giant mess of reminders into comprehensive plot lines.

I’m not writing the story at this point. The story is choosing to expose itself to me XD

Another main thing I do is listen to my Spotify playlist of this AU, read the Wish Artbook, or rewatch a movie that has inspired the RFTS! plot in some way.

As I’ve mentioned in my last post on how the magic system works in the RFTS!AU, Magnifico eats wish essence to reverse the costly effects of using Curse Magic. To put it simply, he uses them to make him more mentally stable.

42. What exactly does Asha’s job entail?

Being a king’s apprentice is a way to gain experience and learn how to use magic by the king himself, so you could use the attained knowledge as to however you want. Share the talent with Rosas or Go out into the world.

However, when Magnifico’s reign started, he forbade magic usage other than he and his wife with the claim that it’s for the greater good and safety for Rosas. (He kinda had a point since criminal activity and accidents did decrease in number after that rule.)

Since Mag doesn’t really need an apprentice, Asha is more of an assistant now, following in her dad’s footsteps before her. She’s tasked to do help with whatever Mag might need around his study such as keep the fire going or organise his papers. But Mag doesn’t really like having her around a lot, (since she asks a lot of questions about his wish-keeping system) so he purposefully tells her to go carry out outside tasks such as go into the garden and help the gardeners or something.

44. How was Rosas founded?

Nearly a century ago, the kingdom was first built. I’ve read in the Art book that Rosas was apparently named to reference ‘Beauty and the Beast.’

Like, ok….?

Anyways, I found that roses are meant to represent love, rebirth and beauty. So I decided to add more onto that than just have it as another reference. The kingdom’s founders wanted Rosas to be a place where people who are wary and feel outcasted by their homes can find and start a new beginning. To ‘Rebirth’ and have a second chance to find the ‘beauty and love’ in their lives again,

Blue and white were made the royal colours because the blue was meant to stand for trust and reliability and white for new beginnings. Symbolising the past kings and queens’ responsibility to have their talents in sorcery be used to serve the people who come here. Thus, Rosas’ citizens all are in a variety of different cultures.

I’m thinking within one month. It’s a race-against-time sort of thing where Asha needs to find out how to confront the Royal Couple before they do something horrible on Rosas’ celebration of its 100th anniversary, which is literally just a month away.

46. What was your favourite part of Wish? Are you translating that to your AU?

I really really loved how Mag’s magic looked and how he went all evil-ish green as a tribute to past Disney villains. If we ignore the awkward transition he had from sympathetic to just plain psychotic, it’s a cool magic display. I kinda wished they went more full out on the final battle because it just felt so underwhelming asf.

I’m keeping the magical final battle but with more magical funsies. :D

47. Least favourite part?

I’m frustrated how bland and empty the character interactions and emotional beats are since those kinds of moments are usually my favourite when it comes to movies.

Magnifico’s tragic loss of his village? “Pfft- What tragedy? We don’t need that in the movie’s 2nd half.”

Asha’s dead father? “Eh. We only needed him for a few mins and he’s non-existent from that point on.”

Valentino claims to be Asha’s helpful animal sidekick. “Did I mention I have a deep voice? Oh, and my butt’s a funny thing too. Did I already mention that my voice is loud and soooo deep??”

Simon’s betrayal? “Oh wow, that was a shock…. Anyways, wanna start a rebellion?”

OMG, Sakina’s wish is back!! “What was the wish about? Idk who cares.”

Asha’s friendship with Star doesn’t even feel that special to me?? GUYS, I felt more chemistry between Rapunzel and Pascal. COME ON, BUILD IT UP. DON’T JUST SAY ‘Awww, you and I are thinking the same thing~’ AND EXPECT ME TO BUY THAT.

48. What’s your favourite aspect of the TFS!AU?

Idk why, but I like how there’s a unique twist in your AU on how Wishing Stars don’t have the best reputation to humans. It’s a nice subversion that makes it stand out a little more. :)) Because usually, the idea of wishing on stars is always seen as a positive thing but that’s not the case in this story. It’s intriguing to watch characters slowly realise that not everything is what it seems.

That, and the hilarious dynamic you’ve got going on between Cielo and Asha and how deep in denial they both are, even though it’s clear as day to the other TFS!cast. 😂

(Wouldn’t it be funny if TFS!Mag and Amaya also noticed? They may be going down a dark path but they’re not blind, girl.)

Uhhhhhh…. I like organising stuff by colour for fun...? Like, I used to pour out a box of legos and sort through them as a kind of pastime. I still organise coloured pencils in rainbow order if I could too. 😅 ………

"Alrighty!" Donnie heaved another box out from an overstuffed closet and set it on the floor. "I believe with that, we have excavated all the fossils you have been storing."

"Thanks for your help." Kira responded where she was looking through a box.

"Give and take, my darling!" He chirped and danced around the plethora of boxes. "You helped me tidy my lab and I'm obliged to help with cleaning of your own."

"We're looking for photographs." She reminded him.

"Yes, of course." He was very clearly not convinced. "Totally not getting rid of some of these old and unnecessary artifacts."

She quieted and sent him a look as she held a letter to her chest.

A letter he had written.

One that was only a few lines when he had given her a wrench set after he found she only had one adjustable one.

It was a scrawl about how hers was unsuitable.

It was more.

Just like him, whenever he was cold, it was always calculated. He was both startlingly honest, but also self conscious to a fault. The two personality traits were often at odds with each other, but she had long seen through them. She had watched his tangible growth from meeting him to dating him and these mementos represented each step he had taken in loving her.

She cherished them as much as him.

"Shall I start on a box over here?" He prattled off as he sensed his mistake.

"Sure. Anything that looks like old family photos." She tucked the letter amongst other leaflets and continued her search.

"I hope to find some of your baby pictures before you do."

"Donnie!" She protested though her tail swayed with affection.

He caught the move and felt he had rectified the situation as he opened a container.

For a short time, they fell into a groove of shuffling articles.

Then Donnie snorted a single sharp time.

Kira was reading an old supplies list from The Fiery Troupe when he ear twitched in his direction.

He said nothing more, but she felt compelled to glance.

He sat there waiting with a key chain dangling from his fingers.

"You still have this?" He tried to keep his guffaw down.

"Of course!" She tried to snatch it from him, but he held it higher.

"This is junk! It's embarrassing! I bought this for you...!" His eyes darted. "Oh...!" He wilted with the memory. "Before we started dating. I don't know why I thought this would impress you. Some random bauble in comparison to your beauty!"

The word junk hit her swiftly.

His thoughts on the time being embarrassing struck her next.

Is that what he thought of their early years?

They had never really discussed it in that way.

For her those were precious memories.

She had finally began to emerge from her shell and learn that the world had joy once again. Where he was ashamed of this trinket, she had kept it safe in this box with the rest of her memories. The day he had given it to her was precious. She had friends prior, but Donatello had always held a special place in her heart. She had fumbled her friendship with him early on, but they had only grown stronger for it. Him buying her this gift, some key chain or not, was representative of that foundation.

She was worthy.

He would be there.

He was making light of her memories again.

The thought chilled to the the point that her tail came swishing around her folded legs.

He should have known.

He should have known that was all she had.

For everything she had suffered, each one of these items grounded her. They reminded her there was more. From the inside jokes coded into group messages to birthday cards, they were tangible forms of the times she had. In many ways, they were the final existence of happier times and knowing that not everything was doomed, that there had been pockets of joy, had helped keep her going more than once.

She stood straight up with her eyes on the floor.

"Kira...?" She felt Donnie shift where he was still on the ground.

She shot him a single look.

She refused to let the tears fall.

She saw it in his face.

They sharpened her icy glare.

In a single glance she sent him all her displeasure with his attitude before she turned and ran.

"Kira!"

He screamed out after her, but she was in motion.

He could catch her.

It was his trackers and goggles.

She also long knew enough to evade them.

When she needed to tuck into peace.

When she fell back on old habits that kept her safe.

She ran.

She needed that moment to herself.

That moment to breathe.

Twisting far from the apartment and doubling back to confuse his sensors, she broke through one empty building out out multiple hallways until she found an alcove that was easy to miss. This was it.

A dirty decrepit room that was perfect.

She slunk inside and curled up with her tailed tucked around her.

When she was young she would hold it if she could get a grip on it.

A soothing mechanism, just as this was.

Self isolation to keep one safe.

If she was alone then no one could leave her. If she was here then she couldn't know something else inevitably got hurt. If she stayed then she would never have to deal with that burden.

She would be shielded.

She sank into her own fur and her own scent.

There was Donnie there.

Her scent was not longer fully her own.

It hadn't been in years.

Cohabitation and trading products.

Sleeping in bed and early morning cuddles.

Long days hold one another.

Notes of flowers from her shop.

The bitter essence of medicinal herbs.

Donatello.

He was as much a part of her as those memories.

He was etched not into her fur, but her skin.

He was more than just that keychain.

He was more than her thoughts.

She carried him.

She hiccuped on the thought.

She carried him in her heart.

Just as she did all her loved ones.

She unfurled for a breath.

Time changed her too.

Long ago she used to disappear for weeks on end when she ran.

That shortened to days.

Which shortened to a few hours.

She wasn't sure how long it had been this time, but it as at least the same day.

She didn't feel better, but she did feel like going back.

Back to her home.

Back to her memories.

Back to her heart.

She wondered if she could get away with it, she wondered as she got onto her paws. She sort of hoped he might let her little outburst slide so she wouldn't have to burden him. They could quietly carry on in searching for the photos and he wouldn't bring up trashing her belongings again. They'd have a nice dinner and that would be good enough. They would move on and he would carry that this was not a territory she wanted trifled with.

That was progress and she crept long the hallway.

Etchings on the walls greeted her as she passed.

They were memories of their own of when this building was more.

Eviction notices and graffiti.

Tales of hiding away and trying to disappear.

They weren't healthy reminders.

There was a difference, she decided as she got out into the open air.

The mementos she kept were ones that brought about happy memories. She didn't keep the ones that brought about ilk. It might have been hard from someone outside the sphere of her head to notice that and she could acknowledge that was something she forgot. The two of them moved with such cohesion these days, she forgot Donnie couldn't read her mind.

He was being his usually dry, sarcastic self.

He had said that thing about being compared to her beauty.

Her cheeks were warm as she returned to their apartment.

It was a drop down and she expertly slipped through the window she had fled from.

It was still open.

It was her invitation.

Waiting for her to return.

Please come back; I'm here.

She only looked up from the dim bedroom to see something very obviously laying on the ground in the doorway. She padded over to it with a tilting head and found it to be an old Run of the Mill leaflet. She had grabbed it from her first trip to the restaurant with the brothers to remember the night they had all gone out.

She immediately spied something else.

Another memento, this time from a few months after the pizza place for a play Mikey had helped out in.

She had highlighted his name in the program so she would never forget who she had gone there for.

There was more.

A photo was next, one from one of those overpriced booths.

Everyone had piled it and most of pictures were blurry, but she adored them.

The trail continued.

It was a walk through her relationship with Donatello.

The memories conjured were a step wise process.

She was getting closer to him as she collected bits and soon found the keychain laying propped up with a new origami heart. When she turned it over, it had been stamped with the date along with a note that said 'the day Donnie apologized yet again.'

She puffed a watery laugh at that before continuing on.

She wound through their apartment and found all the boxes were cleaned and stowed.

She had a feeling who was at the end of it all, but she let herself move slowly through first dates and first kisses.

Their hearts drew closer and closer, until she was nearing the kitchen and Donnie ducked a little too obviously behind the counter.

There were only a few more pieces.

A cute napkin from a place that had crepes.

A program from a dine and watch movie.

Last week when she perfectly peeled a sticker off a package that Donnie had ordered.

It was innocuous, but it was cute.

It was stuck to her finger when she rounded the counter.

He didn't bother getting up and instead was bowed down in apology. "Kira."

"It's okay..." She moved to meet him.

"No." He cupped around her hand and mementos. "You've never made fun of what was important to me. I shouldn't have done that to you. I just... hate thinking about how I used to be. So dramatic."

She gave him a sly look that said he still was.

He gave a guilty grin before he softened. "What you've collected is amazing. Things I barely remember. Things I don't know if they mean anything, I don't think I even got everything that suitably represents us, but I did my best to construct our timeline. I'm glad we did it. Every second."

She nodded and the weepy nature was back, but she was trying to shake it free.

He pulled her close. "I'm sorry."

"Thank you."

"I found the photos too. They're on the counter."

Kira chuckled. "Good."

"Do you...?"

He didn't continue and she looked up at him.

"... still want to make more... with me, I mean?"

"Always." She told him with full certainty and leaned up to meet him in a kiss.

Inkling HRT 01- Medications

Hi there! I’ve been considering about doing an Inkling HRT story for a while, but didn’t feel confident enough to post it until now. This is kinda a more indulgent thing, so I hope you enjoy!

Silver had been playing video games for a long time. She had picked up Splatoon from a friend's recommendation, and needless to say, she fell in love- especially enjoying the wide array of anthro sea creatures featured in the game.

Sometimes she would end up doodling Inkling and Octoling characters on her notes, trying to distract herself from the boredom of school.

And sometimes she wished she could be one of them. Silver hated the human body. How it always needed upkeep that she couldn't always keep up with due to exhaustion. Teeth were so annoying to brush and take care of, unlike a chitinous beak. Constant acne that refused to go away, brown eyes with heavy bags.

For a long time it was an in-joke with her friends, trying to spin it into humor to hide that yearning.

Then she got a text.

Hey Silver think you might find this cool.

In it was a link to a post of a dragon girl, captioned with ”24 months dragon HRT- Really happy with the results.“

Silver gasps, and clicks on a hashtag on the post.

There's more of it. An experimental yet effective treatment, allowing those who didn't see themself as a human to be their true self.

Another link, this time to a website. It's for a doctor's office led by one Doctor T. Herian. The about section summarizes the clinic and treatment, along with how to get there. She then finds the page to book an appointment, and clicks on it.

It's simple. Fill out your medical information, desired species, personal info... Silver deals with it quickly, smiling. Maybe this would actually work.

The first meeting was one she was nervous about. Silver had heard a lot about the doctor in question, the fact that he could provide the desired medication, but his reliability was... questionable. That and ethics. But Silver tries her best to not think about it.

The office is in a more decripit part of town, not helping with the shadyness of everything. She shoves the door open with a shoulder, gritting her teeth as it creaks and reveals a waiting room. A lady sits at the desk.

“I'm here for an appointment.” Silver says, trying to be confident.

“Yes... Silver?”

Silver nods.

“Please sit down, the doctor shall be with you soon.”

Silver nods and sits, slightly quivering in excitement and anxiety.

She hoped that this would work out- and could be her desired self, even if it was an anime squidgirl.

“Inkling. Don't think I've seen a request for this one.”

The doctor is a middle aged man, no younger than 40. Gray hair, balding, wrinkles across his face.

He pushes his glasses up.

“It's not going to be an easy change either. On the bright side, due to being fully humanoid you will not have to deal with a crossroad state.”

Silver taps her foot.

“Just explain this already. I want to get the meds.”

“Patience, young one. We have things to go over.”

Silver sighs.

“This won't be easy. You'll be losing all your bones, devloping new organs, and internals fully arranging to accomodate. That and gaining much more permable skin. Luckily I can perscribe painkillers for when that point comes around, which is about 6 months in.”

A stack of paperwork is slid across the table.

“If you're sure-”

“I am.”

“Sign these papers, and you should be able to pick everything up at your local pharmacy in a week.”

Silver does so, and gives the back. The Doc nods, and passes her a envelope.

“In here is everything you will need to know. Have a nice day.”

Silver eagerly nods, and gets up. The envelope is slid away in her purse, and the young woman nearly runs outside. It's finally happening.

Silver can finally be her true self.

A week later, Silver goes to the pharmacy, sitting down in a chair. Next to her is a girl in her late 20s, seemingly going through treatment to be a wolf. She's got the fur, the ears, the snout. But some patches of skin are still there, her teeth still not fully sharp.

”You picking up HRT as well?“ she asks. Silver looks up from her phone, and nods.

”Inkling.“

The wolf lady nods.

”I see. Just be careful, alright? I'm a year in, and still dealing with, how do I put it, side effects...“

Silver wonders if she should press, but doesn't.

”Other than losing all your bones and having your organs rearrange themselves?“ she says, a bit snarky.

”Yes. Just be weary, okay?“

The girl is then called up, and picks up her medication. She then leaves, causing Silver to be on her own.

”Silver?“ the nurse calls, and Silver looks up. She walks up to the counter, and a bag is handed to her in return.

She peeks in the bag. It's mainly pills, though one bottle surprises her- it's made of a crystaline substance, glowing a pale blue. The others aren't as strange looking, being colored tablets.

Silver pockets then in her bag, and heads home.

So, Lady Glasses, where have you been?

Some of you were looking forward to seeing more Magnolia AU content in the interim between LotR rereads, and I’m really sorry I wasn’t able to deliver on that. A lot of things started to change IRL right around the time I finished the book, which affected my schedule and how much free time I had to draw. I also made a new friend, and with that person, started to roleplay my original characters (which I’m going to tell myself was writing practice ;-P), and that took up a lot of my creative energy as well.

But I’ve been promising for months that I’d start reading LotR again today, and I want to make good on at least one promise. So, here I am! I hope to be able to keep to the doodle-a-day schedule I had last year. We shall see.

As of today, I am actually on vacation, but I’ve been working hard for the past month to make sure you guys have reviews and doodles to enjoy even while I’m away from home. Thank you so much for your patience with me, and I hope you enjoy this brand new journey through Lord of the Rings!
