One of my most favorite subjects is a complete brat, but the type who is super easy for me to put under and offers no resistance whatsoever. He will constantly do things like say that I'm not actually able to control him, that I'm a pervert. He'll roll his eyes at my teasing when I tell that I could easily change his mind with a simple snap, or if he lets something slip that reveals how he really feels (usually a fantasy he has of me), he'll deny he said it or deny that he really meant it or say that I influenced him to say it, etc. For a while, I've had him feel like a kobold and he's really latched onto that, constantly saying how he's "wild" and "dangerous" and "uncontrollable" and also try to compare me to being small and weak... and it's as silly as a kobold telling a dragon she's small and weak would be.

I don't think any other subject I have acts like this and I fucking love it, because when I do find the time to put him under, I can do it with just a snap. Oftentimes he'll say something like "I'm not a toy you can just use whenever you want" and have him say the opposite: "I'm a toy you can use whenever you want." (It almost always changes his mood to be more subby whenever I do so as well, and he doesn't realize I made him say that.) He's also one of the sluttiest and most eager-to-please subjects I've met while under, often saying lots of really hot things about how eager he is to serve his goddess and how much I control him, all unprompted. I love it so much.

I actually just finished using him in his workplace (via text because he's all the way in Australia lmao), which is something we've discussed beforehand (because of how often I would end up teasing him at work). Anyway I'm feeling blehhh and I've been thinking about the mud dogs a lot lately, so here you go have this for free <33 Also if you have mud dogs requests, send em in! Will I get to them? Well, they don't like seeing you miserable, that's for sure.

None of them are really used to dealing with this kind of thing. Sure, they all have experience being around people who've been sick and sometimes even helping with it depending on who the person was, but since taking up a life of crime they've gotten a bit rusty. They're way better at patching up the cuts and bruises you all get from your various missions and heists, but taking care of someone who's just caught a bug or has invisible pain going on? It's not their strong suit. But that doesn't mean they don't still try.

Danny's the best at looking after you by far. While he might make a joke here or there, he's the least likely to get on your nerves, and the most likely to make you a warm beverage and a hot meal unprompted. He looks after Len and Mick enough when they overwork themselves or go too far on a job that he has a good understanding of what you need: time, rest, and peace and quiet (the latter said while he glares at your other two friends). I take back all my generalization, actually- he's not a bad caretaker at all! He'll stop by your room/your spot on the couch and ask how you're doing and if you're feeling up for accompanying them on some task, and he'll sit with you and rub your back and let you complain about how bad you feel if you want to. He keeps as many worries as possible off your plate, and encourages you to rest as much as you can. He doesn't care if you're all actively being hounded by the cops (which you probably are), he just says "that ain't for you to worry about. Go take your meds and lay down". While he may come across as stern, he really just wants you to feel better. He doesn't like seeing anyone he cares about in pain.

Leonard is brash and can be quite loud and irritating when the others are involved, but when left alone with you he's way softer than he is on a daily basis. He won't baby you, but he's way more likely to do what you ask of him without complaint (holding things for you, getting up and getting you stuff, microwaving lunch, changing the channel to something he normally would never watch). If you want to vent about how bad you feel, he's your man. To him, your pain is something he can shit-talk with you about ("That fucking sucks. Why's your body doing this? This guy bothering you? Next time someone sneezes on you, tell me. I'll take care of them"), and he's only a little bit serious. He'll continue on with the bit if it makes you laugh- actually, there's little he won't do to try and lighten your mood, so if the two of you have any embarrassing/silly inside jokes that you want him to recreate or a funny voice you want him to do, this is the time. He'll deny you for a few minutes, but he's super easy to sway when you're sick. I hope Danny and Mick were there to see him do some cheesy shit to make you feel better. The big softie. They'll never let it go.

Mickey's just a pure wild card here, god help you. It's not like he's bad, he's just a bit chaotic because he really wants to fix whatever's going on with you, and gets impatient when he realizes there's nothing either of you can do but ride it out. He's very good about reminding you take any meds or painkillers you need though, and he comes up with a lot of other ways to ease your discomfort. Anything that usually helps you, he's down to do, no joke. He'll be your body pillow or heating pad or wrap his arms around your face if you have a headache. He cares the least about the possibility of you getting him sick and will be in your space and company as much as you want him to, though if you're feeling touch adverse you may have to shoo him away. If he's pestering you, feel free to tell him you're annoyed- he's got thick skin and knows you love him, so he won't take it to heart. He's a good sport.

Mick's also the most likely to procure mystic medicine for you, not realizing the potential negative effects that could have on a human, especially when a few of his medicines definitely came from the black market.

I won't lie, it's not the most ideal situation you could be in. The guys' lives are chaotic and messy and often lacking in common physical comforts. But they always look out for you when you need it. You're part of their messy little family, and they'll always do their best to take care of you, even if they might be lacking in a few areas.

So fucking intensely Nagito Komaeda can not do things in halves. He is constantly leaving gifts and love letters and trying to have conversations. Once you're living with him he's even more lovey with constantly cooking food and basically willing to reshape his entire house to whatever whim his angel might have next. He's rich after all! Why shouldn't he do literally everything he can for you!

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

While he’s not one for personally doing violence, he does what he must to keep his beloved safe. While he’s unlikely to just straight up stab someone, he’s more than happy to start rumors, sabotage social standings, steal things, or place traps down. Nothing that can be led back to them of course. If the threat persists despite all the chances they’ve had to back off, then well, Komaeda is pretty rich and has a Yakuza contact at the end of the day, he’s more than happy to pay for worse things to happen to any fool in his way. Besides, the sheer despair anyone would feel at losing the chance to have such a beautiful beloved must bring forth quite wonderful hopes afterward. Truly, he’s doing this so everyone can shine even brighter.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

The problem with Komaeda is he doesn't view it as mocking but like, it totally is. He thinks he's just stating the truth of the situation that a person such as yourself has no chance against the Despair of the outside world, your hope's too feeble, like candlelight it glows so brightly and yet so easily is it extinguished by a single breath. In other words a lot of belittlement and basically being put down as weak and helpless. Beyond that, he's trying to conform to their beloved's standards but is really creepy about it, so expect to wake up in an exact duplicate of your own bedroom but just higher quality because he's pretty rich and also a lot of locks on the door that definitely was not there before. He wants a smooth transition of being able to take care of such a wonderfully talented person without much struggle and what better way to do that than with your already existing routines? Really, it would probably be easier to handle and come to terms with if he was crueler because that's at least not this level of creepy.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

Nothing specifically sexual, he is disgusted by the sheer thought of tainting his beloved. However, he will constantly attempt to help with hygiene because he desires to be of service. It's going to be a fight to be allowed to do things like brushing your own hair or dressing because he's going to insist his beloved doesn't need to bother with such petty tasks. Things like showering he'll be more hands-off with unless you neglect yourself. He can't have his beloved not bathing after all, so if he needs to carry his beloved to the tub and scrub their hair for them he will, and once that barrier is crossed it's going to be an even bigger fight to prove you don't need to want his help. He's also desperate for physical affection and touch, so don't be surprised if he suddenly grabs your hand or touches your face, though he will quickly retreat and start self-deprecating if it gets called out. The furthest he'd probably go would be to steal a kiss if he was feeling desperate, and then he'd spiral into one of his really bad rants and self-deprecation afterward.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

They try to play down their luck cycle to not scare their beloved, but besides that Komaeda’s an open book as long as you actually ask him things. He’s not one to just volunteer his history unprompted but a simple question could easily lead to you learning the wildest things about him. While he’s pretty vulnerable in that way, he’s also used to suffering and pain while being vulnerable so it’s not really a good way to try and make him leave, jabbed words about his trauma just roll off his back. He’s probably said worse to himself then you can think off anyways.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Negatively, sighing about how its so beautiful to see their hope but how they're going about it all wrong. He'd try and talk you down at first with those sharp words of his, but if that doesn't work Komaeda is stronger then he looks. He will grab you and force you to stop if he must, such despair.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

It’s not really a game, Komaeda would love to just have a normal happy life where he can serve and help those he cares about. However, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love escape attempts, seeing you struggle and gather so much hope, seeing you try your best even in conditions like this warms his heart and he encourages his beloved to do their best, he’s certain they can do it eventually. Being caught does bring about punishment though, just because he likes it doesn’t mean he actually wants you to get out.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

Definitely anything that involves physical violence, Komaeda is completely willing to start chopping off limbs if he gets pushed too far. All while he babbles about how it's for their own good and the hope it will give them for pushing through this despair will be so amazing.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

A happy life for as many years as they have left holding their beloved and feeling loved. He wants to see you grow and change and hold your potential in his hands. He wants you to love him oh so deeply, and he hopes the despair his inevitable death will cause you to bring about the most glorious hope to ever shine. He wants domestic bliss.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

He thinks other people are after his angel's hope, wanting to take it, snuff it out, hurt them. He can't abide it, no one else deserves this hope! So he does his best to isolate you for your own good.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

Extremely sweet and loving, practically worshipping them and always keeping some form of contact with them. He wants their hope so badly, he wants them to smile. He's shy about initiating affection though, he is scum after all, is scum like him really allowed to kiss an angel's cheek?

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

Komaeda has to be really careful with his courting, his luck could strike at any time after all. Love letters constantly get lost, and confessions constantly get interrupted. He has to make them come to him so he tries to be subtle, spending as much time around you as he can without creeping their beloved out, often suggesting books they like to read, normally they prefer mysteries but they’ve been finding such good romance novels these days to recommend. Slow and steady wins the race for Komaeda, though if something extreme were to interrupt him he’d drop all pretense and go for a kidnap. Take a threat on your life or a shitty home life though to force his hand like that though, letting you experience the suffering of normal life only helps your hope grow and he has no desire to stifle that growth for no reason.

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

Komaeda is a lot more dominating when alone, while he tends to make himself small and obedient in public but in reality, Nagito is in charge. Sure he voices it like how it's in service to his angel, but at the end of the day he decides your meals, he decides your clothing, he decides when you wake up, he is in charge. For his angel's own good of course.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

At first, it would just be with words, scolding them for taking risks or talking down to them like they couldn’t possibly understand the danger of the world. As he gets closer he gets touchier, likely to forcibly grab your arm though he quickly let’s go and starts going off about how unworthy he was to grab his beloved like that. Once kidnapped or moved in with he takes on a lot more psychological-based punishments like isolation or gaslighting. He especially enjoys cutting his beloved’s hair a lot as a punishment, how his beloved’s face crumples as he cuts their hair, how they’ll wear this mark until it grows back, it’s such despair, and it creates such good hope when you get all bouncy that it’s grown back to how you like it.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

So many rights, he gets final say in everything, he may make it sound like you have a choice, but you never do. The best you'll get is a nice room and good food, but beyond that, it's up to Nagito.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

Incredibly patient, Nagito has no problem waiting, but even his patience isn't limitless. Try to not push him too hard or he may think he needs to do something drastic.

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

The despair would break Komaeda hard, but eventually, he would recover, all despair leads to hope, and if this is the biggest despair of his life, then it'll, it'll bring him an even greater hope! He has to believe that!

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

Yes, but it had to be done so he doesn't regret it. His angel needed to be brought in and protected and nurtured! Sure it feels wrong for scum like him to take care of someone so ultimate like that, but it's his duty! He just wishes they'd understand it's for their own good!

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

Trauma for the most part, he sees himself as someone in service to a greater good and is used to great tragedy. As such he needs to protect himself by smothering the object of his affection to make sure they too do not leave him.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

He doesn't like it, he tries to comfort them or explain what's going on but will sigh it's of no use and will leave until they've calmed down. Likely bringing them some nice tea to give them to help them relax. Isolating yourself is impossible though, he is always there and while he respects your privacy but as your caretaker he is in charge y'know, he will go into your room whether you like it or not.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

Komaeda is Rich Rich Rich, he is much more likely to buy someone off then to actually engage in the more bloody side himself. He basically has infinite money, why not bribe everyone around you to make it easier for you to fall into his hands?

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

His luck cycle is your best bet, but good luck figuring out how to utilize it. Best bet is hoping he gets bad luck that loses you without killing you. Beyond that if you play into his Hope obsession you might be able to make an opening but it'll be nasty if he finds out you're faking.

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

Yes but only in ways, he can justify. He won't hurt his beloved for laughs, but he will step on your hand as you crawl for the door and sigh about such unpleasantries before grinding his heel down until he hears a snap. Afterward, he'll be a lot more coddling and condescending while also putting the blame on his beloved for making him do it. Don't push him too hard with escape attempts and fighting attempts or you might find yourself missing a limb as Komaeda rambles desperately about luck and hope and yadda yadda. As long as you space out attempts and tolerate him when you're not trying to escape you should be able to escape that fate though, gotta be strategic and conform to the twists and dips of his mind and mood when it comes to fighting back and escaping.

Immense worship, his angel is EVERYTHING, he will do ANYTHING.

what's anybody going to do about it, fight him? okay, he'll kick their ass. he ain't scared of what anyone thinks about what he does in his own free time. they're the ones that brought it up, they can mind their damn business.

unlabeled, if asked he'd just shrug. he likes guys sometimes, he's pretty sure he's liked a girl or two before.

it isn't even preference so much as it's intensity of attraction, has more small crushes on women and few bigger crushes on men

aromantic, bisexual and slightly prefers men

not very romantically affectionate (is platonically affectionate), but is okay with having a partner that is. she just won't initiate or crave it, but she doesn't mind it. romance neutral in general.

does want to date still, loves a good qpr, will communicate with her partner about her lack of romantic attraction but doesn't feel the need to be open about it with others. she's in a relationship, it can be read as a romantic relationship, she isn't correcting anyone

Sandy -

straight

homophobic in an ignorant way

"no, I don't have a problem with the gays, I know some gays!!" girl, NO.

won't be intentionally mean, doesn't like when people are blatantly homophobic, but also won't put effort into changing herself and won't call out other's around her. might give an eyeroll and a "stop, be nice!!" at most.

thinks that since it doesn't actively affect her it isn't really her place or business

Hisoka x lawyer!reader Part 2

Little Lawyer

Warnings: Murder (it's Hisoka, what were you expecting)

This one's for establishing some plot, I can't just be giving fanservice only. I promise the next one will have more fuzzies.

You've been working hard, helping Hisoka where you can. You could even say you've done well!

But honestly, it's exhausting just trying to keep up with him...

The magicians mood can change in an instant and seemingly unprompted too.

You're constantly observing, trying to make sense of his attitudes and whims.

You're also close to giving up, trying to understand said attitudes and whims.

You've been calling a few contacts here and there, pulling a few strings so strong people have been coming and going to the heavens arena.

Hisoka doesn't show it much but you know you've impressed him.

The last few weeks you've been following Hisoka to his official fights and a few unofficial ones.

The former aren't really important. It's the heaven arena's law that if you enter a fight, you're responsible for any injuries you might aquire. Even death.

The latter are where you come in though. He's a little like a cat, shoving a glass or plant from a windowsill, just to get your reaction or test your boundaries.

In this case he's testing your reaction to the death of a random passerby while on the way to the arena.

The bulky guy had looked directly at him and still run into his shoulder. He is probably a contestant of the arena as well.

Or at least he had been...

It happens faster than you can think.

"Oh my god, Hisoka!" You exclaim surprisedly, as the guy sinks to the floor, neck sliced with the deadly precision of a knife. With the bloody card safely tucked away again, his grin reminds you of the cheshire cat.

"Yeeess?" He smiles, yellow eyes sparkling teasingly, curious of your reaction.

Sighing, you turn to the guy bleeding on the floor.

"Nevermind, he kinda had it coming," you admit, regaining your posture and quickly estimate the distance to the heaven arena's ground.

There's no witnesses, you're in a rather secluded area and as you've found out, Hisoka's cards don't leave traces of DNA. It's highly unlikely that anybody will find out and even if they do, they probably won't care.

The authorities tend to overlook any accidents in a hundred meter range (ca. 330 feet) of the heavens arena, as they don't have the capacity to solve all crimes happening there. If they tried, there'd be no room for anything else.

Hisoka watches you calculate calmly and your concentrated expression excites him a little.

Not only are you unfazed by the murder, you're also thinking about wether or how he'll get away with it. If anything you're mildly inconvenienced.

"Don't think about it too much!" He exclaims happily and sets back on his path to the arena.

He has another fight to win after all.

Looking up, you notice the magician walking away.

You quickly run to follow him, not knowing what he'll start if you're not there.

Two and a half months later you're more or less used to his antics. To your surprise, the job is less actual lawyer work and more appealing to Hisoka's common sense, or what's left of it.

You remind yourself that normal logic doesn't work with the magician, so you have to somehow view everything through his twisted perspective on life.

"Okay, so what bothered you about this guy?" You ask, putting a questioning hand on your hip and pointing your other hand at the corpse laying in front of you.

"Hmm, his colour scheme was off," the redhead replies,

"And he would've died tomorrow anyways."

He's right, of course. But he's also ignoring one crucial fact.

"Yeah, but right now it's kinda illegal and tomorrow it won't be. At this rate you're going to need an entire team of lawyers!"

Hisoka smirks and lays an arm around your shoulders, catlike eyes gleaming with mirth.

"Oh no no, little fruit. Don't worry, you're doing a splendid job," he pats your head in a rather patronizing way, "You're all I need."

Rolling your eyes you wave away his hand in the manner one would swat at an annoying fly.

"That's all very endearing and cute and stuff but it doesn't change the fact that this will be very hard to cover up. At least hide the body near the arena or something, okay?"

Hisoka is apparently in a relatively reasonable mood today as he just rolls his eyes and kicks the body into an alleyway.

"Fine, I'll do it later!"

"As soon as possible, okay?"

"Yes ma'am~!" He salutes sarcastically.

You nod, that's good enough.

Two alleys forward Hisoka disappears mysteriously.

When you get back to the arena Hisoka has already arrived before you, shuffling his cards while perched on your bed. How he got in, you don't want to know...

"Did you take care of it?" You ask, closing the door behind you with a foot.

He flashes you a smirk.

"Of course!"

"Splendid, anything else you want to do today or can I have my privacy?"

"Come here~" he commands and you raise a suspicious eyebrow but move towards the bed, where Hisoka is still shuffling cards.

"Let's play a game."

 ⸻   WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE : Nothing stands out more than his hair, obviously, pulled in a half-up bun/ponytail style. It's shoulder length and dyed electric blue, but for his younger versions, it would be shorter, silver, platinum blonde, or even his natural color, which is brown (that's what my timestamp: tags are for lol). Zach has a real diamond earring in his right ear (his mom lost one so he snatched the remaining one), or a silver hoop. He usually has a few colorful bracelets on one arm and leather/metal ones on the other. As for the clothes, he likes hoodies and jackets, some music band/video game/movie t-shirts, and light blue jeans or sweatpants. Sneakers! He's got his favorite pair, too. Here's a moodboard for a typical Zach look.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY SMELL LIKE : Shower gel, shampoo, some rosemary and black currant. Hair dye when his hair is freshly done. He works out and does a bit of freerunning, so sweat, too.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY TASTE LIKE : Blueberry, I mean, just look at his hair, he's blueberry flavored lmao. Alright, on a more serious note, nothing specific. Salt or perfume for his skin, coffee or something spicy for kisses - he loves spicy snacks like Oi Muchim.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE : Too lazy to cut a clip myself so this and this is what I've found. Just bear in mind that the first one jumps straight to a nsfw-ish moment and is preceded by one, too.

Zach speaks rather quietly, almost monotonously, but in a good way, I'd say; you would want him to tell your kid a goodnight story. Since he doesn't talk much in general, he means every word he says. The depth of his voice, combined with how he speaks makes it almost soothing. It also takes a lot to make Zach raise his voice.

 ⸻   WHAT THEY FEEL LIKE : He doesn't like being touched/unprompted touch, so he'll flinch or tense up. Unless he's comfortable around you, then it's a different story. Zach is fit and athletic, you'd most likely feel that, no reason for him to do a handstand to prove that (but he could, just ask him, don't be shy). Zach is 6 feet tall, so that's another reason you'd probably feel safe around him. When he doesn't avoid someone's touch or touching someone, he's confident and/or gentle.

Would Charles be a catboy or a puppy sub?

This man has been called every animal on the planet. Kangaroo, mouse, lobster, calamar. But the classic dichotomy stands. A case could be made for either, though, it’s so fucking hard to decide.

He’s sensitive to water/cold like a cat.

A kitty would also clean its whiskers like he 'paws' at his beard. Just saying.

The zoomies: Felines are fast.

And a bit grumpy/mad, plus introverted, sometimes.

His car as an enclosed space mimicks a box. Cats adore boxes.

Loving. Cats are selective with affection.

Charles being a big chaotic klutz also counts as kitten behavior, although that’s also points for puppy.

They call him what? Monegato! He is baby, he is gato.

Sharl has perfect puppy eyes. Hands down. His pretty please game is immense.

Which direction does he tend towards more? He'd probably say puppy sub > kitty sub 100% because he prefers all things canine, but is that all there is to it? Everyone feel free to weigh in. This probably needs a poll or something. I'm going crazy.

You know what? I have no idea either and I think you're right we do need a poll. I'm gonna make my arguments for both and then at the bottom of this post will be a poll so that we can finally decide on an answer.

CATBOY:

I think Charles is a cat boy in the way that he approaches people? He'll be kind to everyone of course, will never turn down a fan asking for a picture. But when it comes to who sits next to him, who touches him, who can be in his space, he's like a cat with it?

He doesn't like people coming to him and sitting closer without prompt, doesn't like when people assume they can have a hug or even a handshake. Yet he will regularly go over to people and ask for those things. He doesn't want someone to sit by him unprompted, but he'll go himself and basically sit in their lap.

Except for you of course. You are his person. He feels nothing but love and happiness whenever you sit with him. And you can do for more than just shake his hand or ask for a hug. But he's also catlike in that regard too, because only you can touch him like that. Anyone else and he'll practically hiss at them. ESPECIALLY if that other person's attempted affection could be seen as more than platonic. He will scratch someone's eyes out if they try to kiss his cheek. Because no!! No no no not even as friends!! No no!

Also yes he's sensitive to water and cold. He requires coats and treats and LOTS of nose kisses for him to go out in the cold.

PUPPY SUB:

He's loud and he's SO needy. He'll whine and cry if you don't give him enough attention. And he's also so messy? Not in outside of scenes, but when scening? He's SO messy. He drools and cries and makes puddles when he cums and grips you so tight that you end up with scratches and bruises.

He also craves praise so much. He just wants to be your good boy. He truly just wants to make you happy, and he gets so happy when he can follow your instructions and know that he's been good for you.

And also, he LOVES being with you? He has no concept of personal space with you, well he does, but your personal space is his personal space. He does not know what alone time is either. He considers alone time to be with you, because why would he ever want to be without you?

He also sometimes gets nervous energy like a puppy would, ends up running around until you tease him and calm him down. Oh and he's a nibbler. He just goes nom nom on any and all available skin. You have a hand in front of him? CHOMP.

i truly do not think i've ever done one of these, so please bear with me as i juggle my way through it. this is a post meant to lay some groundwork for longterm plots and relationships, as well as making it easier for new people to interact with break! if any of the ideas and dynamics mentioned below interest you, feel free to like this.

below the cut, peep some dynamics i have in mind. if you have any others you'd like to try out that i didn't mention, you can like this anyways and lemme know in ims!

FRIENDS. while break will absolutely refuse to call most people his friends, he's a lot more open to friendlier relationships nowadays. his standards for that are a little weird, though. he appreciates people that are also a little messed up, even if he doesn't know what exactly is wrong with them. if he thinks that you, given the chance, could match his level of sharpness, or could handle listening to his self-loathing, he's a lot more likely to actually trust you. he likes damaged weirdos, essentially, because he is a damaged weirdo.

he's not opposed to making friends with people who are happy and healthy and doing well, but usually, that comes with a default distance he consistently puts between the both of you, as to protect you from his own tomfoolery, as well as simply not having the energy to deal with that.

BRATS. this is such a specific vibe, but of course, people that are younger than break. he knows he's a godawful role model, and he absolutely sucks with kids, but he does have a habit of ... being a role model for kids. he's your weird uncle that you can call when you're in trouble and don't wanna call your parents, essentially. break absolutely plays favourites, as well, more open to an actually genuine relationship with youngins he feels are smarter and more confident than your usual run. if you don't hesitate to square up to him, even if he feels ancient compared to you, he'll be impressed.

SPARRING PARTNERS. sword nerd over here will bond easily over talking about swords, or just being asked about his sword. he'll have his cane soon enough, which is just a concealed sword, something he carries around all the time. (he rarely lets go of it and refuses to let other people touch it.) while this would require some type of bond in the first place, for break to reveal that he's carrying around a weapon at all times, once that's out of the way, he's delighted to talk about it. he's also open to training people if they're close enough to him. however, be prepared for him beating the shit out of you, he does not pull his punches.

FAMILY. basically a step up from friends. once break considers you an actual friend, it doesn't take a lot for him to essentially do anything to keep you safe and happy. this doesn't necessarily have to connect to specific familial roles, it's just break's inner, closer circle, that he'll trust with more information and show more vulnerability towards.

ENEMIES. this one is spicy, i definitely need more of these. to break, anybody who reminds him of himself is definitely gonna get treated roughly. there's a lot of people he's neutral towards, but enemies would be people he actively dislikes, goes out of his way to avoid and uses most opportunities to ruin their day if confronted with them.

when i say reminds him of himself, i mean people that are overly dedicated, to the point it becomes close-minded. break's motto is "people that misbehave for other people's sake are the ones i hate most", because that's what he did in the past. a lot of his arc is about not letting other people become what he became. if you're willing to throw it all away for one person and lose yourself in that purpose, he's going to be mighty suspicious of you. as well as general disregard of life, especially if it's motivated by some self-serving goal or desire.

dishonesty pisses him off, too. if you fake politeness around him, he'll pick up on that quickly. basically, if you're inherently disingenuous, break's gonna realize sooner or later, since he's an expert at being disingenuous, and he's gonna despise you for it. and, last but not least, if you remind him of people from back home that he dislikes, that's pretty much a done deal, sorry.

Ok Termites based on how it would feel like substituting for or supervising them

Capella: likely the kid the teacher names as a helper, she'll talk or be a bit rowdy if it doesn't seem like you'll be strict but she would settle down if you are too. Helps her desk neighbors out with the work and tries to act like a student legal advocate for the rest so they respect her bc she gets you off their back. If Khan is not in the room she will provide very biased deep lore about him unprompted to explain his psychomaniac behavior (take w a grain of salt & its more than u wanted to know) but will thoroughly ignore the guy in class. Will never tattle on the others* tho

Sticky: loud, will be moving out of his seat constantly, talking across the room, you'll have to constantly remind him about behavior etc. But he will also not react angrily when you give him verbal warnings and will probably engage in mostly funny banter. Might be named as a helper too if the teacher is trying some psychological scheme because he actually does at least respond to you even if his actions say he is not listening. Most likely to ask really personal and invasive questions

Notkin: Mostly like Sticky but less physical movement and freneticism, but also will straight up disregard whatever you say that he doesn't feel like doing and won't even humor you. But he is unlikely to be snappish and will pretend he is being amenable to you so you get off his back sooner. Probably the loudest in sheer volume. Is constantly sniping at Sticky for no reason and unprompted as well which becomes the main source of volume issues. Can get into verbal altercations with Khan however that will appear initially harmless to the unfamiliar eye but can escalate into violence so watch out. Brags about punching teachers in a deceptively disarming way

Grace: the kind of quiet that makes you think she's on task until you look at her worksheet and there's nothing on it except a few scribbles. Nevertheless good-natured but if you push her on it she could snap with irritation but that just feels bad so let her be. Might also sleep in class if it's in the morning but you just let her bc again it feels bad. Is reliable as Capella if you ask her to do something like pass out work or take attendance.

Khan: the worst to sub for. Will ignore you and go on easily talking with the others if you decide to do nothing about him but if you tell him to do anything no matter how polite he will argue or snark back because he doesn't recognize you as an authority figure. Any resistance on his part will cascade throughout the classroom as a norm. If you try to converse with him he'll respond with what feels like a running dialogue against any and all authority figures thus both confusing and disabling you, emphasizing just how little he regards your input. The other kids will actually listen to him though so if they manage to annoy him too your interests might align and work in your favor. Probably won't hit you because he is good at expertly threading a needle of behavior but will walk out/you don't want to be the first he decides to hit

*Bonus Clara: comes in extremely late and is named as a helper which is confusing bc she doesn't appear to be doing anything you actually say. If you let her out of the classroom you will spend the next 20 minutes anxiously wondering where she went. Something is always going on. Will either fully lie to you or will dutifully get work done, no in between. Very loud and rambunctious if the class starts talking and will likely fall out of her desk at some point. Deskmates with Grace and is either hatefully ignored (and tattled on when she's gone to the bathroom for 20 min) or amicably teased by Capella. Everyone else seems to like her tho

Murky: much like Grace but the younger and more grumpy, more lethargic version. Always will mumble responses and has a hard time actually communicating what she needs from you. Actually just hates loud class environments so you feel bad she has to be there. Will play w whatever toy or device instead of struggling to concentrate w work and is not yet at the age or communication level where she will just tell you to f off.

Taya: very high energy and will "boss" you around (really just replicating a model of dialogue behavior she picked up on) with uncanny vocab and phrases she definitely learned elsewhere. Clearly advanced for her age. Has her own desire to perform well if she's invested in a task but has to be reminded about physical space almost constantly when playing or she'll beat other kids and you senseless

Only gonna do questions that I think apply to his particular character and story in general, so if u think some question not answered, then it's probably not relevant to the world with giant skeleton centipede roaming the land in search of the feast.

Anywho

1) he's pretty much living dead with a passion for the mission, but he wouldn't mind to suddenly lose all hope and collapse in one place for a month and act dead for a while. I mean, he's dead all the time, but acting dead is something he's not doing often.

3) as living dead, he doesn't sleep, so closing his eyes and not moving probably counts as sleeping?

4) 5) there are no stakes in betraying anybody in this story, as majority of characters are either dead, divine in nature or otherwise in the position of not caring for any consequence of being betrayed, so everyone is pretty straightforward with each other

6) legal laws are non existent, laws of physics are stretchy for the plot, and laws of nature are something that is broken, twisted and defied by the premise as a whole. Evil Knight's mission is to bring laws of nature and life into order of how they were before dead started walking.

7) his whole mission is based on wanting back the world of the old you could say, but he doesn't exactly feel nostalgia for it. He rather feels disdain for the current shape of the world, and is angry at the fact that the dead won't stay dead. So in that regard, just having to face numerous undeads just like him is triggering more and more of that disdain, that people who were people before Everything, now are just pawns in hands of Big Bad.

10) his most prominent lie is "I'm fine". How fine a corpse that spits out purging liquid can be?

11) ask people around if they're perceiving the same thing as he or his brains finally rotted away

12) his body is always clad in armor and only his left hand has exposed skin, so he doesn't deal with itches. I'm not sure if he gets them anymore. I'm not sure if it's itchy when your skin is stuck in a constant state of decay.

15) his speech and voice is gurgly, bubbly, gasping for air and failing to clear throat. He speaks what usually is on his mind, but has the wits to know that silence is also a valid option.

   Something, just something about him rubbed her the wrong way and she couldn't put her finger on what it was. Granted, it probably wasn't the best idea to vocally say that she didn't like him before he had even said something to her, but just the way he seemed to carry himself, well .. it seems her suspicion was right on cue. 

   She's not sure if he was being serious or not, but it reminded her far too much of her sister but not exactly at that level that Ratih tended to be. Crossing her arms over her chest, she furrows her brows slightly. How much is she willing to put up with today is the question. She could take this statement of his and leave, not thinking a single second more on it, or she could stay and try talking to him. 

   Against possible better judgment, she decides to stay. She'll just have to be patient with any responses that may irritate her.
