Would that mean Ajax has an unusually vested interest in the other nations after everything in Liyue is sorted? Like- keeping an eye on the Gunnhilder clan, or the Ragvindr’s? Would he have a vested interest in seeing the Dawn Winery form and thrive? Would he keep an eye out for news from Inazuma about the Kamisatos, Kaedehara clan, and how the Yokai are doing? There’s a lot of funky things Ajax could be tracking and or meddling with and I love that for him

and like- nobody would realize at first since it'd happen so slowly, but by one point some couple of centuries down the line guizhong would be like- sorry, how do you know this? and ajax would just cassually drop that ah yes [instert someone's name here] told him and guizhong and morax would sit there like. who- who's that and ajax would drop the whole oh y'know i made some friends, i got some people to pass me some info back, usual stuff and guizhong would stare bc ajax is just casually revealing he has created a both open-secret yet completely unknown network of entirely random individuals who just- pass gossip along, and it all eventually goes back to ajax. most of that network is made up of volchiy travelers who pick up info on the coasts and directly report back to him.

funniest thing is people just unanimously deciding that characters are siblings and despite it not being canon like at all, if anyone ships them together it's literally incest and they're all disgusting freaks who should be burned at the stake. it's SO silly

i remember when i first looked into luz-hunter art i was super startled to see how insistent the siblings thing was in wider fandom, and even MORE startled to see that romantic shipping was often treated as incest. it wasn't until i remembered that most people ship things monogamously that i realized the ENTIRE "luz/hunter is incest" thing Literally Only Happened because of luz/amity shippers feeling threatened & needing to make luz/hunter Problematic. and that to make luz/hunter Problematic, they had to reach for incest because luz & hunter have in common literally all the same things that luz & amity do.

For as long as she could remember, she had seen something monstrous in herself whenever she looked in the mirror: Despite her father's loving efforts to dissuade her from thinking so, she couldn't help but let the cold looks and harsh whispers burrow themselves beneath her skin, to convince her of what she felt was an ugly truth. That she was an unlovable beast, that no one in their right mind would ever love her, and that she had to make peace with that fact.

But Philippe de Clair's words came crashing through that fragile perception of herself like a stone through a window, smashing it all to pieces: If he could think this about the Beast, that he needn't change himself to find a happily ever after, did that mean that someone could do the same with her? That they could look upon her and see nothing that needed changing, and could love her all the same? It was hard to imagine, but a part of her clung to it nevertheless.

Snapping out of her reverie, she put on the wriest of smiles as she nodded, "I...I agree completely, M-Mr. de Clair."

I like the prince’s arc in twewy and how he’s eventually shown to have some integrity, but really he ends up being one of my least favorite characters in the game.  It’s  a total dick move to publicly humiliate an awkward teenager for lack of style, I know neku has a thick skin and far more pressing concerns, but for another, such an incident +further repercussions could be really devastating (and regardless of effects, dick move).  And there’s just zero acknowledgement of this.  Yodai’s probably regarded as the least popular character in the game, but is being largely forgettable worse than this?

Small rural town in Canada. The mayor here is/was from one of the local families that owns a lot of businesses/land (Usually, one of them isn't necessarily the mayor, but the mayor will either be chummy with them or like, a member/ally of a family that hates them/rivals them).

Anyway, the mayor here was placed on suspension for making council matters public before the council had a chance to properly discuss/debate them/raise them in a proper public council session. A *second* time, apparently. After this she resigned because the rest of the council clearly was sick of her and the deputy mayor has taken over (so I guess I didn't know who the mayor actually is?).

I guess she was feuding with a lot of people, but especially the town's Chief Administrative Officer. I think this role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the town's bureaucracy/workers - Eg: the non-political/legislative aspects of running the local government. Definitely not great to have the mayor feuding with them. Even worse to be feuding in the public eye.
