you knew connie, and you knew he wasn’t the type to let up on you when you acted out. whether it was because you couldn’t watch your mouth, or because you simply forgot who you were dealing with, your dope boy was there to reel you back in every time.

never was this more apparent than the night you had the audacity to try and push your luck in front of your best friend.

you and connie got invited to a kickback at his best friend, ony’s house. ony was the easygoing, fun kind of dude that perfectly balanced out connie’s sort of reserved personality. any time connie was out, you knew he was with ony. any time there was a party of any kind, you knew ony was hosting.

the two of you walked into the loud party, scrunching your faces up a bit in unison at the intensity of the bass of future’s ‘march madness’ blasting throughout the house. you kind of expected the volume, due to the fact that you heard the music while you were outside. it didn’t help that everyone was singing the lyrics with their entire chest, either.

pushing through the crowd to get to some sort of rest spot, ony caught you two.

“aye!” he yelled, catching you and connie’s attention.

connie walked you two over, hand on your waist so he wouldn’t lose you, over to the drink table where ony was previously mingling with some other guys.

“you got this shit jumpin’, ony!” you chuckled, voice raised a bit higher over the music.

“it’s what i dooo.” ony shrugged, pearly whites on full display as a smile painted his dark, plump lips. “i’m jus’ that nigga.”

“yea’, yea.” connie intervened. “i can’t wait for the day you throw a jaint and nobody show up fa’ ya’ ass.”

“never gon’ happen.” ony simply said.

before connie could give a very aggressive rebuttal, you peeped your own best friend, pieck, over in the kitchen snacking on fruit that she knew was supposed to go into the punch. you decided it’d be best to leave ony and connie to their madness in favor of making your way over to her, strike up some conversation.

“pieckkk!” you opened your arms, barreling toward her in a hug. due to her scrolling on her phone while eating the fruit, she didn’t notice you were about to tackle her, until you did. she engulfed you back into the same, tight, hug you gave her.

“my heartyy-“ pieck smiled, leaving a quick smack on your plump ass as you two pulled away from the hug, to which you chuckled in response. “bitch, yo’ ass look good as fuck in’nat dress. how connie ain’t act up?”

“girl, i don’t know.” you rolled your eyes. “he choose when to appreciate me.”

pieck snickered, going back to eating the fruit she was almost done with at this point. you and pieck engaged in catching up with each-other. ranging from talking about your relationships, to simply rating people’s fits that you saw around the party.

you didn’t realize how much time passed, and a hand snaked around your waist— which caught you off guard. before you could turn around to flip out, a familiar, silver thumb ring with your initials engraved into it grabbed your eye. it was connie, and by the look in his eye when you turned your head towards him, he was ready to leave.

you ignored it though, given you were in the middle of a conversation with your best friend.

“mami.” connie called you.

“what, connie?” you responded, with a bit more attitude in your voice. he decided to give you this one pass, because he did kind of interrupt you in the middle of a sentence.

“i’m ready to leave.”

“you gon’ have to wait.”

pieck tried to pretend she was minding her business, starting to scroll through nothing on her phone.

“(y/n), i don’t got time for the bullshit. let’s go.” connie put a bit more firmness to his voice. this is where you would usually oblige, but you wanted to see how far you could go in public. he wouldn’t do much in front of all of these people, right?

“like i said,” you mistakenly repeated, with your back still turned to him. “you gon’ have to wai—“

you couldn’t finish your sentence before he grabbed you by your throat from behind you, leaning down to your ear.

“let me have ta’ repeat myself for a third time, and watch how fast i put’cho ass over my shoulder.”

you couldn’t respond, for the simple fact that you knew anything you were gonna say, would not help your case. so, he continued.

“bein’ hardheaded won’t get’chu nowhere except on ya’ knees, ma. now lem’me make sure you hear me loud ‘nd clear when i say this.” his lips were tickling the outside of your ear, making your body hotter than you wanted it to.

Notes: I took a few liberties this time since the song's scatting lines are sometimes pointless, other times references, etc. and there's so much symbolism I had to play with things a bit to get most of it in. I am very proud of how I handled the second chorus' "No up, just down" line though! I think it gets the meaning across while sounding very close to "Dance up and down" which is what one of the goals of the original dan-dan-da-la seemed to be.

I need to put them in a locked room with security cameras together and watch what happens..

Éloise: Her dislike of Mozus is mainly something that rubbed off on her from Divus, but it'd still definitely be there without him around. She considers him a pain to talk to for long and feels as though he's a strict, boring old guy. If she had to choose, she much prefers standing off to the side giggling as she watches Divus and him bicker.

Dmitrie: He eats UP badly written romance, could live off of a steady supply of YA fiction instead of food for about a month or two. He also has a bit of a sweet tooth, and enjoys cherry and strawberry flavored things. His favorite color is red, the color of love, but he's also a fan of pink and white, since they're other colors commonly associated with love. He also loves stuff with tacky heart motifs. Valentine's Day and the days leading up to it are like the "Objective: Survive" time of the year for his wallet.

Éloise: She loooves things with berries, especially blueberries! I imagine she always has some blueberry tea in her house because it's her favorite kind, and indulges on blueberry tarts once in a while when she needs to satisfy her sweet tooth. In terms of music, she likes classier stuff, usually listening to orchestral music while she works or relaxes. She wears a lot of green and works with nature, so me saying she likes it isn't anything special, but she also has a fondness for orange and I think she'd really like amber jewelry :] Anddd finally, one of her favorite flowers is a sunflower 🌻! I'd have to google a bunch of flowers to accurately list off what she likes since she probably knows ten times more types off hand than I do but those I do know about. So yay!

Ohh absolutely!! Martha being the gothic girl she is would looove being around Rina, and be so curious about her whole.. haunted doll thing. I think Rina and Odette could also be doll friends and bond over doll things. Jarek and Dmitrie would at least get along decently because I think they'd be able to bond over The Longing™ together, but this is assuming Dmitrie doesn't start being really weird. As all the crsm characters are known to be. But even then I think Jarek wouldn't mind much like c'mon he's in love with King Yaoi III who knows maybe being Like That is just how Dmitrie copes with being in love with whoever this Amahiko guy is 🤷 Dorenia is a friendly fella so he'd generally be pretty ok with most of my other S/Is I think. Aven and them feel like they'd get along well but I think that's because they're some of the most Nikolai-truthful characters in terms of personality so I think that's just them being similar people,, Interesting question hehe this was really funny to think about!

I couldn’t remember the last time I skated, or let alone went to the skate park here in town. As a kid I was..well, considerably good, but after so long I definitely have lost my ability to do at least tricks. Waking up this morning though, it’s like I just HAD to go skating, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. “How’d you sleep?”, mom said, “Oh um, okay, I had a weird dream, but that’s all.”, “I’m sorry to hear that dear, I have to leave early for work today, though so I won’t be back for awhile, love you honey, have a good day!” Is all mom said before running out the door.

I can’t find my damn board!! I know I haven’t skated in awhile but shit, it has to be around here somewhere! I checked in the closet one more time, already having the outfit I wanted to wear out on my bed. There it is, I don’t know how I missed it the first few times I checked, guess I’m blind or something. I grab my board and put it next to my door and head to the shower real quick, even though I just know i’m gonna be sweating bullets. After shaving my legs and all that, I end my shower, put a towel on and head to my room and put my outfit on.

Pulling up to the skate park I see quite a few guys…actually a lot of guys, all…not bad looking at all. Well, they look like a fun group, should I go say hi? Or is that too forward or creepy…what if they’re like way older than me and think i’m a freak..? “AH!” I get startled out of my thoughts from a tap on my window. It’s a man, he looks older than me, but not by much, he has a shaved head, kind of defined cheekbones, shirtless of course because of the heat, and he’s holding a board. I roll down my window, he seems nice enough. “Hi! I was wondering if I could do a trick off your car? If not that’s totally chill, man!” The man exclaimed. “Oh uhhhhhhh sure why not..? Just don’t break anything or i’ll make you pay.” I say as I hit my right fist on my hand as if I’m about to beat him up. “HAH, nooooo no no of course not, I’m Steve by the way, everyone calls me Steve-O though. If you want you can go hangout over there with my friends, ya know…watch me do my rad ass trick!” He smiled so wide, such a gentle acting man I just have to let him do it.

“Do it you pussy!!” one of his friends next to me says, he looks more goth than all the other guys, has some sort of accent or way of talking, I can’t pinpoint it though. “Shut the hell up, dude! I’m trying, I don’t want to break the chicks car though!” Steve-O yells back. As if the guys completely didn’t see me next to them, some of them turn to look at me, a few giving me weird looks. One man though struts up to me, another man, little shorter than the first man, follows behind him, beaming almost. “Hi! I’m Johnny Knoxville! I dunno if you’ve heard of me, heh, me and these guys have an MTV show called—“ He was cut off by the guy behind him. “Come on man, don’t try to show us off! Let’s just hangout and skate, ya know?” This made Johnny’s eyes roll however. “Yeah yeah, Pontius, I know! I just wanna impress the gal a little.” Johnny says back to the other. The man ignores this though and turns to you and smiles, “Hey, i’m Chris, you seem real chill! Heh,” He kind of chuckles in that sort of dumb surfer guy kinda way, hella cute not gonna lie.

“DUDES. Stop trying to distract from my trick! What the hell!!” Steve-O says from off my car. “HAH, sorry Steve! Go on ahead, we’re all watching!” Johnny yells to Steve-O. Steve-O is about to do his trick, already starting to push off his board when.. ‘BEEP, BEEP, BEEP’ my car horns start blaring. Shit..I think I hit something on my car keys shiiiit!! “AH, fuck!” Steve-O yells before totally eating shit off my car. All of his friends laughed their asses off, I ran to go help him though. “ Dude! Are you okay??” I yelled. Steve-O, getting up, said “Ouch, yeah dude, i’m used to that kind of shit, don’t worry.” I figured as much, since he was a skater after all. Johnny walks up to us though from where the guys were STILL laughing at. “That’s what I tried to tell you earlier, doll, we have a tv show where we basically just hurt ourselves for fun!” I was a little shocked by the information honestly, not that I’m against it, just not a common thing to hear I guess. “Oh huh? That sounds kind of fun.. would it be crazy if I joined in on one of the episodes one day? I’d do some shit like that too!” I said, sounding a little more excited than I meant to. “HELL YEAH! we could use a chick in the gang!” Johnny said back.

Later that night, I was just so excited to talk to all the guys, Steve-O and Johnny gave me their numbers so I can talk to them about tomorrow on set. They said this guys… ‘Jeff Tremaine’ would love me, and I hope so, I’d really love to be a permanent member of the shows crew.

Next morning, I woke up to texts from Steve-O and Johnny.

Johnny:“Y/Nnnnnnn where are you? We’re about to start some filming, come join!!”

Steve-O: “Yooo y/n where are you? Gotta have a buddy here today, Chris isn’t on set today😞”

Shit, didn’t I over sleep? Better get going..I reply back to them, “Omw!” and go take a shower. After my shower I go back to my room. Whaaat to wear what to wear? Something cute but not too cute, I’ll probably end up getting dirty. I ended up putting on something more casual and started driving to the address I was given.

The place looks kinda weird, big building but it has a very official office like feeling to it. I text Johnny that i’m here and I hop out of my car. Johnny jogs out the front doors to the building, “Hey y/n! What’s up? Ready to start filming? We’re dealing with simple stuff today don’t worry!” Johnny says excitedly. “Oh, sweet yeah we should head inside then, i’m ready to get started right now!” We walk inside, and i’m greeted to Jeff Tremaine almost immediately. “Hey Y/N, heard a lot about you from the guys already, I hope you’re ready to get hurt, heh!” Truthfully, I wasn’t, in the slightest.. but these guys all seem super cool so I feel obligated to now. “Yeah, little nervous but i’m sure it’d be okay, right?” My comment made Johnny chuckle a little. “Oh sweetheart, you’re in over your head huh.. these guys tase each other every day. Hope you’re okay with that!”
