I don't understand how everyone keeps saying that this season finale didn't have a cliffhanger.
Guys, I think it left us with the biggest one yet. From the very first minutes of episode 1, season 1 there's one thing we know: Guillermo wants to be a vampire.
(The show wants you to know two things from the start: vampires are stupid and Guillermo desperately wants to be one).
And while his reasons widely change throughout the seasons (currently writing another meta post about that), that's what he thinks he is all about. That's how he interacts with the world, that's how he relates to everything and everyone around him. That provides reasons and excuses for actions and behaviors. And moreover, that's also how the vampires and especially Nandor, relate to him, that's the basis of their relationship.
Hell, that how we as an audience relate to him too: I distinctly remember the season 4 posts saying: Guillermo, babe, are you okay? You've barely mentioned wanting to be a vampire in the last few episodes.
And as much as we all wanted him to see himself as more than that want, as much as we saw the growth (Slayer Era my beloved), and how he was so much more than that, Guillermo never really left it behind. It was who he was at his core. He was a slayer, a vampire killer, but one who desperately wanted to be a vampire.
So I'd argue that this is the biggest cliffhanger, because it rocked and subverted one of the main foundations of the show. It left both us, as viewers, and all the characters in the show feeling unsettled and confused. Because: where do we go from here? Who is Guillermo without that driving force? Who is Nandor without that power to hold over him? Does he stay with them? And if yes, why?
There are no rules for this, there are no expectations, the show prepared us for any outcome except for this one. So what now?
And how am I supposed to wait for a year (probably way longer) to find out?

Zoro knows what transgender is because he drunkenly lets drag queens and butches try to explain gender to him in gay bars and at parties
Sanji knows what transgender is because the brave citizens of the Kamabaka Kingdom forcibly educated him
Luffy does not know what transgender is because he thought you would grow a dick when you hit puberty if you wanted to be a boy (what sabo and ace told him when they were nine) and assumed tits worked the same way

hate teacher.
so angry.
he told me my 6 months worth of work has to be scrapped and entirely redone in 2 weeks. thats literally impossible. i am the tiniest inconvenience away from having an entire meeting with him to read him a 5 page essay on how he has been of no help this entire semester and last and how he has done nothing but inconvenience me all year.
hes seen the work many times before but only brought up the issue now. 2 weeks before a progress report. He told me the thing hes been having me work on for an entire month cant be part of my progress report because its not specific enough.
IF THIS WAS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM HE WOULD HAVE ALREADY KNOWN AND HE SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME BEFORE I WAS 6 MONTHS IN.
he blatantly holds favoritism as every other student (they all happen to be cis men) get all the help in the world yet i get no help at all and when he tells me i have to scrap all my work he doesnt even point me in the right direction just says redo it you have 2 weeks.
this is a group project but every other group is doing one project with all people working together yet mine is doing one project each person meaning i cant even get assistance. two of the people in my group HAVE NOT SPOKEN A WORD TO ME SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR.
he is also needlessly rude. instead of just politely saying there might be an issue he feels the need to make me feel like an idiot for not realizing it sooner. I am half convinced this man finds joy in publicly humiliating and shaming me in any way possible. You are a grown ass man what the actual fuck. You are in your god damn 50s.

Rewatching some clips of King Bradley fight scenes(fmab, particularly the ones during the end) and i am sorry for this but Zarkon deserved that- he deserved a climatic fight to the death at the end of the series with his character foil (who themself had a character arc and introspection throughout the series symbolically shown during this fight), he deserved to go down fighting where it took blood, sweat and tears of several people to get here and has audience knowing this was not a fair fight and if he had been in his top condition and not wounded he would have won but still cheering for his death. He deserved death at the hands of all those whom he hurt and he deserved to be remember as a monster he was
