Note
so I was looking at some writing prompts for my own stories and I came across one that interested me. . . but when I think about it, i feel like it would be better between Edward and Detective!
if you have the time or desire, would you care to write a moment where Eddie and Detective get stuck in a closet/small space, hiding or something, for an extended period of time and the sexual tension is just like too much. I can imagine some stepped on feet and bumped elbows and heads in the rush of it all. lol
Stuck

“You’re not going fast enough,” you whispered as lowly as you could.
Edward shot you a look as he leaned slightly forward, shoulders hunched as he attempted to pick the lock on the door to a warehouse – a warehouse, it seemed, the two of you had been led to in an attempt to track down the suspect in your latest murder case.
You looked around the darkened alleyway. Night had fallen across Gotham, and stars littered the sky like gemstones. The alley was deserted, and only one flickering street lamp flashed on and off in the distance. A cold gust of wind slipped around you, and you shivered, crossing your arms over yourself. Your heart hammered against your ribcage as you glanced down at Edward, still trying to pick the lock as you tapped your foot on the ground impatiently.
“I thought you were the mega-mastermind criminal here,” you said. “Aren’t you supposed to be good at this?”
“Patience, my dear,” he said, his voice as smooth as whiskey. “Lock picking is an art.”
“Uh-huh.” You rolled your eyes, and with a heavy sigh, your breath came out in a mist.
Just as you spoke, you heard a soft click, and the door handle turned. Edward glanced up at you, smirking, that patented look of arrogance plastered across his face.
“You were saying?” he asked as he straightened out his shoulders.
“Yeah, yeah,” you huffed out, turning away so he wouldn’t see the smirk on your face. As you did, he pushed open the door slightly, and the two of you stepped into the warehouse. It was dark, practically abandoned, not a soul in sight. Slipping your phone from your pocket, you turned on the flashlight and shined it around, illuminating the room. Nothing but rows and rows of boxes and shipping containers filled the space, stacked so high you couldn’t even see over them and into the next row.
“What are we looking for again?” you asked.
Edward murmured something about stolen goods snatched off a ferry out by the docks, but you were hardly listening, too absorbed in reading the labels on the boxes. Well, even being here in general was risky, but this is where your last lead led the both of you two. Sighing, you turned on your heels, prepared to ask something – but a sudden, heavy bang echoed across the other side of the warehouse.
Several rough, gravelly voices sounded out as footsteps pattered against the concrete. Your head snapped to Edward, eyes wide as panic swept across your skin. Shit – you couldn’t be caught here, not like this, not when you were so close to solving this case. Edward stepped forward, snatching up your wrist, as he tugged you down one row. You followed close behind him, but he came to a halt in front of a giant, metal cabinet. He glanced at you, but you shook your head, shooting him a look. You were not hiding in there with him.
“All right boys,” said a voice as the lights suddenly flickered on throughout the warehouse. Laughter echoed throughout the room.
Edward shot you a look this time, before pulling open the cabinet and gesturing for you to get inside. You huffed, but squeezed your way in. Luckily, the cabinet was just big enough for the both of you – despite the awkward way your limbs and bodies bent. You crouched down slightly, practically at Edward’s crotch level, while he leaned over you, closing the door behind the two of you, bathing you both in darkness. Only a sliver of light shined in from the crack between the two doors. Your heart leapt into your throat, pounding so hard as the blood rushed to your face, heating your skin. Edward’s breathing was shallow, the only other sound you heard in the small, cramped space – but from here, he smelled of cheap cologne, the scent of his shampoo invading your nose, smelling like cedar and pine. The masculine smell immediately made something alight inside of you, a warmth at your center.
Shit – being so close to him like this and feeling yourself getting turned on was not good.
You were literally trapped in a cabinet with him, with nowhere to go, and the potential for men outside to kill you. Now was not the time for your panties to be getting wet. Great, just great. Holding your breath, you sat there, scrunched in the small cabinet with Edward beside you, his hands braced overhead on either side to keep himself steady. You shifted slightly, but as you did, your heel came down – right on top of his foot. He hissed between his teeth.
“Sorry,” you whispered, immediately maneuvering a little bit in a different way.
“Ssh,” he said, bringing his finger to his lips.
You looked away, an embarrassed heat flushing across your cheeks. A lump formed in your throat, but no matter how hard you tried to swallow it down, it wouldn’t quite go away. The voices outside continued, a hearty chorus of gravelly laughter and the sound of beer cans opening, but from here, you couldn’t get a good look at who was outside.
Frowning, you relaxed a little, finally beginning to feel like no one was going to come over here. But your soft breaths began to meld with Edward’s, creating a heat inside the small cabinet, soaring hotly across your skin. Sweat beaded on your brow and you reached up, tugging at your collar in an attempt to cool yourself down. As you did, Edward moved to adjust his own position – and his knee and thigh brushed right against your cheek. You immediately looked up at him, crouched down, his crotch in your face. He shot you a smirk, not an ounce of sympathy in his eyes. You jutted out your bottom lip in a pout, looking away.
Well, here you were, stuck in a cabinet with Edward’s crotch in your face, nowhere to run, and now an impending heat coming down on you. You turned slightly again, readjusting yourself, trying to straighten up a little further. You maneuvered yourself so your back was to Edward as you braced yourself against the cabinet wall, but with so little space, his entire body was pressed against your own, leaning against you. His hands slid down slightly, trapping you in between him and the wall, his heavy breath tickling at the back of your neck. You tensed, a delicious ripple of heat tingled down your spine – and then you felt it: a sudden hardness pressing against your ass, his erection throbbing through the confines of his pants.
You glanced over your shoulder at him and raised your brows. “Edward,” you whispered, his name but a breath on your lips. You trembled at how close he was, the way his powerful, lean body seemed to envelope your own.
“Can’t help it,” he murmured, nuzzling his nose into your hair at the nape of your neck. “You smell good. Feel good, too.”
His breath tickled your skin, and you shuddered, leaning back into him as your eyes fluttered closed. What would it be like if he slipped his cock from his pants and took you here and now, where you could be caught at any moment? Heat pooled in your core and you squeezed your thighs tightly together, fighting against the fog of lust. Dammit, why did he have to smell good, too? Why did he have to sound so seductive when he spoke? Why did you find yourself so easily slipping into a daydream about him fucking you?
You kept your eyes closed, listening to the soft sound of his breathing as he continued to nestle himself further against you, nuzzling his nose into your hair. Your skin tingled with heat, and you bit your lip to keep a soft moan from escaping your mouth. You could not be caught in this warehouse with your pants down and Edward fucking you.
But…the harder you felt his cock press against you, the more your temptation grew.
You stayed like that for some time, listening to the sound of men outside chatting and laughing and drinking, trying to focus on anything important they might be saying, but Edward’s cock only remained constantly pressing into your ass, so hard you could practically feel it throbbing. You pressed your ass back against him, slightly wiggling your backside into him.
He hissed through his teeth. “Don’t tempt me, detective,” he growled in your ear. “I’ll have you here and now in this cabinet.”
“Mhm,” you hummed, ignoring him, continuing to rub your ass against him. He wouldn’t dare – he knew just how risky it was to get caught here, too.
A low rumble of frustration slipped from his mouth. But just as his lips tickled at your ear, a sudden sound outside made you both pause. The sound of the lights shutting off echoed throughout the warehouse, and the heavy bang of a door shut, bathing you both in a sudden silence. The light streaming in through the crack was now nothing but darkness.
You hesitated, but slowly reached for the door and pushed it open, peeking out. The warehouse had gone quiet, not a soul in sight once more. It seemed as though the men had left. Sucking in a breath of fresh air, you ducked underneath Edward’s arm and stepped back out, stretching your sore arms and legs. He followed after you – but suddenly, his hands were on your hips as he yanked you back into his arms, holding you tight against him, making you gasp.
“Get back in here, detective,” he growled. “We’re not finished yet.”
You smiled. Well, cabinet sex had not been on your agenda tonight, but…perhaps you could risk it now a little, couldn’t you? But as he pulled you back into the cabinet with him, all thoughts of your plan to solve this case vanished from your mind, losing yourself to the taste of his lips and the feel of his hands on your body, drowning in him, and everything he offered.
Oh, yes, solving this case could wait, indeed.

do you have any recent wips?
(i love your writing, no rush!! id eat any fanfic u post)
//I sure do!! Here's one I was working on last week :))
Edwin had done it.
For years, Kik had watched as he’d tried to find a way to separate the Gift from the Gifted, a way to single out the Gift itself for further research and testing. Proof that, maybe, there was more than just the ‘natural’ in our world. And at every turn, the project had avoided comprehension, as if baiting him, pushing him to madness. But this time… This time, it seems that it might have actually worked.
He could hardly believe it, staring in awe at the little ball of pure light hovering in the center of the mason jar he had Kik fill with little pieces of aluminium foil– twisted tightly into rods– in any hope to catch electricity, any semblance of energy and power. He’d wrangled together a rudimentary machine that would spin vials of collected blood– from his lovely assistant and niece– to automate part of the process of mixing the blood. The process required a speed and force he could not generate himself due to the density of the specimen he was working with. As it spun the blood, the force required– called the centrifugal force– separated the liquid of the blood, which would theoretically allow him to harvest the energy of the Gift from the blood itself, as the evaporation of the blood would allow him to extract what he wanted. And hopefully, in harvesting that Gift, producing something like electricity.
And against every odd, staring back at him is a victory that smells like sweet tangerines, like pine trees and cold forest.  It buzzes, glowing light gold and filling the room with its soft, warm ambience. Like sunshine after rain, like the break of dawn over a cold night, the entire room felt dark in the light of the little gold light. Edwin reaches, hesitant, before laying a finger on the glass. The result is instant: peace disturbed, energy striking the glass and finding a body, conducting and flying towards it, zapping the man like a bolt of electricity. Edwin stumbles back, wincing at the shock and trying to stop his hands from spasming. He looks down and finds that his hands now glow in dark red light, arcing and wrapping around his hands, bending with his fingers. Furrowing his brows, he experimentally moves his hands, finding that the Gift in his hands fit like ill-fitting gloves. Cumbersome and unnatural, it was not his. But… he could wear it. Use it, just not as well.
Oh. Oh.
A slow, satisfied smile curves onto his cruel face. It’s unnatural, but only because Edwin Wright rarely found something that filled him with genuine glee. This was a breakthrough of incredible size, he could harness the power of the supernatural, he could turn water into wine– cultivate power. If he was a bug in a world of giants, now he had a stinger. He turns, glancing back to see where Katherine had gotten off to, and pleasantly surprised to find them standing a few paces behind him. Dutiful, compassionate child that they were, the perfect assistant and specimen. As he had raised them to be, but Katherine was a particularly gentle creature.  If only they weren’t so headstrong, so difficult to control. If only he could trust them, control them reliably… An idea comes to mind, one to solve the issue that had been causing conflict in this home recently. This power had given him a stinger, yes, but… it could be a web, should he desire.
Katherine leans to peer around Edwin, a few paces behind him, watching the light in the jar dance. They frown as they squint at the odd, sporadic arcing of the Gift bouncing off of the aluminium and hitting the glass. Dread was settling in their stomach as the realization set in that this was enough to prove all of his theories. This could prove, reliably, that some children were magic, and Kik knew that would be dangerous beyond reckoning. And yet, they couldn't help but lean forward, trying to get a better look at it, curious about the way it moved and twisted and radiated warmth. They shrink back, however, meekly smiling, when he turns around and fixes them with a knowing, esurient stare. He steps forward, and Katherine steps back without thinking, raising their hands defensively. He follows, snatching them by the arm and pulling them closer, his other hand clamping around their bicep roughly, caging their shoulders in his grip.
“Well, Katherine, it seems like all our hard work has paid off.” He grins at the girl, watching as they begin to try and pull away from him. He grips harder, ignoring the way Katherine hisses in pain, and twists them to look at the jar. They notice that the jar is now filled with dark red light. “It’s just a taste of what you’ve got, but that’s alright. You’re a very powerful little lady. This is more than enough to prove that I can single it out, which is what’s important. That it can be harvested, taken. Although… this next part is gonna stay between you and me.”
He takes a deep breath, feeling the power pour through his body. The smell of oranges turns sour and bitter– rotting lemons and lime. Edwin pulls Katherine closer, lifting their arm to show sickly red light twisting around their wrists, drawing their attention to the strings now connecting them to Edwin. They gasp, the air squeezed from their chest, and look down. They find their chest glowing in red light as the magic ties itself around their ribs, around their spine, tightening painfully. Edwin drops Kik’s arms, letting them slump forward and wrap their arms around their chest. They drop to their knees, choking back a sob.
“My dear niece, my Katherine, my perfect specimen, you’ve proven just how very, very useful you are.” His tone is sing-songy, all the while he balls his hand into a fist and tugs, and Katherine gasps again, on the edge of crying out.
“W-wait, what–” They choke out, clutching at their chest. They pull at the strings looping around them, but new knots form wherever they untangle them. Confusion and fear twists in their gut as they frantically try to get out of the web. Something about the way Edwin is looking at them makes them feel sick. The softness they recall in his eyes when they were younger, the smile that pulled at his lips when he saw them– they’d been replaced. Something colder, sharped, and hungrier filled its place. They don’t understand what he’s doing, why he’s gotten so violent. “Uncle, you’re– you’re hurting me–”
“I can’t have you running away anymore, you have to understand. But I know that you can’t live trapped in a little house forever. Poor little bird, caged and sad with no room to stretch their little wings. I do still care, Katherine, I do. I just need you to cooperate. But I think I have a solution to our problem.” Crouching, Edwin tilts his head, lifting Kik’s chin by grabbing it, smiling when Kik meets his eyes again. He tightens the strings with a cold sort of finality, knocking the air from Katherine’s lungs as their magic is bound under his own. “Try not to think about it like you’re losing something, because you aren’t. If anything, these will allow you more freedom. Now I can enforce the rules! Now I can make sure you can’t get yourself into trouble! This will be better for us, I promise, Kitty.”
He sighs, watching the horrified expression on his niece’s face. “You and I, kid? We’re stuck together. I need you, Kitty Cat, and, honestly, you need me! Who else is going to take care of you? I’m all the family you have left, and you’re still just a little thing. You need someone to teach you how to navigate this world– especially because you’re so special. Now, there’s no more running away. No more fighting. Now there’s only you and I.” Another smile, a little less sharp, and Katherine resists the urge to scream. They want to fight and claw and bite and tear– anything to get out of here– but they are shackled to Edwin with their own Gift.
The last part of any family they had left, and yet Katherine does not recognize their Uncle at all anymore. Ever since he found that Black Book, ever since he saw their father die, he’d been obsessed with the darkness and monsters, and this obsession was ruining both of their lives. This was only keeping either of them from actually living, from doing anything more than twisting themselves up in a game they could never win. Katherine had at least had the hope of one day escaping, of maybe somehow convincing him to stop–
But… they weren’t sure he was in there anymore. Once, a long time ago, now, they thought he had hung the stars in the sky himself, that he was the most impressive and incredible researcher to ever walk the earth. They had helped him as a child with research willingly, interested in what he was doing and excited to be included and involved. He had held them in his lap, explained the stories and the worlds in the pages he was reading, made a game out of finding what details they were researching. In front of them was nothing more than a shell of the man who had been there when Katherine’s mother left, when their father died… The ghost of a once-great man, now somehow the biggest monster of all.
In a moment of pure exhaustion, Kik Wright gives in, and faints.

time can do something funny, it can change my mind
There was some pseudo uproar about Lyon sending Maeline Mendy and Liana Joseph out on loan. Some saw it as an outrage. I see it as a topic of conversation. So let's kick back on our couch with a glass of wine and, like, talk about it.
Look, I know my stance on academy players is super well documented by now. I don't think there should be a direct pathway between being a talented academy player and getting playing time with the pro team. I'm not alone in this. Selma Bacha, a Lyon academy product herself, has said there is a massive gulf between the talent pool in the academy and what it takes to get playing time. Don't believe me? Leave French and listening to the Twitter Space for yourself.
Just because you've performed extremely well with the U-19s does not mean that will automatically translate to the professional level. I think that's what really grinds my gears about this. Yes, Lyon's talent pool in the academy is really, really impressive. They have a good eye for young talent.
But that doesn't mean they necessarily have the level to make it as a professional player, and it also doesn't automatically mean they have the level to play for a team like Lyon. Might they, at some point, have the level? Maybe. We don't know. And while I am semi-sympathetic to the argument we won't know unless we give them a chance, I there is also a rather important counterargument to consider: why is it Lyon's responsibility to find out if they can make it or not?
Well, it's Lyon's academy who found them, for starters. Sure. And Lyon did give them all the tools to succeed. They gave them coaches and an environment specifically designed for them to succeed. They made them grow up in a culture where you are taught that a hatred of losing must be greater than a desire to win.
But here's the thing: that last sentence comes from being serial winners. Blood lust is innate. Either the thought of losing changes you or you are indifferent to it, there is no in between. Either you're already a killer or you'll never be one.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: you cannot be a team who competes for trophies and focus on developing academy players at the same time. There comes a time where you have to choose whether you want to win a UWCL trophy or you want to find out what the U-17s have to offer. The reality of the situation is a group of U-17s players are not going to win you the UWCL. They're just not.
To win the UWCL, to win domestic trophies, you need players with experience. You need players who have been in that situation before. And not only that, you need players who have been in multiple situations before. You need to know they know how to handle a situation and the reason you know they know how to handle it is because they have been there before. You don't get that kind of experience of problem-solving at the U-17 or U-19 level.
Teams who compete for trophies have to know how to handle pressure and expectations and the fact of the matter is, academy players don't. Experienced players don't. There's some pearl clutching ("but how do you know this???") but like, I know it because we've already been through this. We saw what happens when Lyon doesn't have experienced on the field. Just look at Lyon's results when half the normal starting line-up was out injured throughout the first half of the 2022-2023 season. This is what I find so frustrating. We have been here before and I for one am in absolutely no rush to live through that time period ever again.
Now, I also think it's worth talking about. If Lyon's results in that time period weren't so catastrophic - and let's be honest, they were - would Lyon's Board of Directors maybe be more lenient about giving academy players a chance? Maybe. But I do think there is lingering trauma about what happened in that 6-month period and I think that's why both Bompastor (who maybe was too lenient towards certain academy players) and Montemurro have become gun shy about giving academy players playing time.
I am bitterly opposed to the playoffs and will continue to bitch about them as long as they exist. But I also think they play a role in the lack of playing time for academy players. Right now Lyon has a 5-point lead over PSG. Depending on how the game goes on Saturday that could either go up to 8 points, stay the same, or drop down to two points. Now I know people will clutch their pearls and say the league is as good as over if Lyon wins on Saturday but if the game against Reims proved anything it's that Lyon can put us all on suicide watch at any time if they so desire. Yes, a 5-point lead is nice. But it is January 15th. There are a lot of games left to be played and Lyon can fail to close out a game if history proves itself to be accurate.
And that's the main thing, isn't it? Lyon isn't in a position to fuck around and find out. Playoffs reshuffle the deck but if you want home advantage throughout you need to finish first. The teams who made it out of the UWCL group stages have to be taken seriously in theory. I refuse to live through the 2022-2023 season again, and that means having your strongest squad on the pitch. It means not fucking around and finding out.
Numerically it makes sense. Does that make it fair to academy players? Not really. But as I said - blood lust is innate. Either you have it or you don't. You can't teach a player to have a killer instinct. I truly do believe that if the likes of Mendy or Joseph or even Benyahia - whom I have legitimate concerns about - have what it takes, then they will make it. But good lord it's not up to Lyon to find out if they will when Lyon is supposed to be competing for trophies.
"omg I can't believe you're snarking about Benyahia!'" Yeah, well, not only am I doing it, I'm doing it with ease. Do I think Benyahia has potential? Sure. But good lord do I have reservations about her. It makes me so incredibly nervous when a 21-year-old player says about themselves that no other player sees the game the way they do. Don't believe me? Plug it into Google Translate and/or learn French and Read it for yourself.
I don't want a player who thinks they are above the team. I don't want a player who thinks of themselves as a savior, I want a player who thinks the team saved them. Maybe it's morbid. Maybe I have a thing for broken players. It's not impossible. But I think Lyon works best when they operate under the assumption that burying bodies is a love language. I'm not sure how well they would take it if someone told them where/when to bury a body not of their own choosing.
The other thing which really frustrates me is people acting like Lyon isn't selective about what type of players they are willing to take a risk on. They're actually selective. But if Lyon is going to roll the dice on a young player then they're only going to do it they've already rigged the outcome. Let's talk, yeah? Lyon likes players they can mold into their own image. Lyon looked at Amandine Henry, at Ada Hegerberg, at Wendie Renard, at Selma Bacha and said "hey, let's talk, do you want to grab a cup of coffee?" Lyon was willing to gamble on them because they saw something in those players. No, that's not quite right. I think they recognized something in those players. Monsters recognize monsters.
So that's also why I am okay with Lyon taking a step back with academy players. I am okay with Lyon wanting someone else to find out if a player has what it takes to make it with the professional team. They get an answer either way: at best, Lyon passed on a player's growing pains to someone else, at worse, the growing pains were someone else's problems.

Common Dating Mistakes and How a Coach Can Help: Transform Your Love Life Today
In the pursuit of love, many people find themselves stuck in repetitive patterns, making common dating mistakes that hinder their chances of finding a meaningful relationship. Whether you're navigating the complexities of online dating, struggling with communication issues, or unsure of how to present yourself authentically, it's easy to make errors that can derail your romantic aspirations. Fortunately, a dating coach can offer invaluable guidance to help you avoid these pitfalls and steer towards a more fulfilling dating experience. In this article, we will explore common dating mistakes and how a dating coach can help you overcome them, ensuring that you make the most of your dating journey.
Common Dating Mistakes
1. Neglecting Self-Awareness
One of the most prevalent dating mistakes is a lack of self-awareness. Many people enter the dating scene without a clear understanding of their own needs, desires, and values. This can lead to choosing partners who are not well-suited for them or repeating unhealthy relationship patterns. For example, you might find yourself attracted to individuals who display traits similar to past partners who were not right for you, thereby perpetuating a cycle of disappointment and frustration.
2. Overlooking Communication Skills
Effective communication is the cornerstone of any successful relationship. Unfortunately, many individuals struggle with expressing their thoughts and feelings clearly, leading to misunderstandings and conflicts. Poor communication can manifest in various ways, such as failing to articulate your needs, avoiding difficult conversations, or misinterpreting your partner’s intentions. This can create tension and prevent the development of a deep, meaningful connection.
3. Rushing the Relationship
In the excitement of a new connection, it’s easy to rush into a relationship without taking the time to truly get to know the other person. Rushing can lead to premature commitment and overlook critical compatibility issues. By moving too quickly, you might overlook red flags or important aspects of compatibility that could impact the long-term success of the relationship.
4. Focusing Too Much on Appearance
While physical attraction is an important component of dating, placing too much emphasis on appearance can lead to superficial connections. Many people focus primarily on their partner's looks rather than their character, values, and compatibility. This can result in dating relationships that lack depth and fail to provide long-term satisfaction.
5. Ignoring Red Flags
Sometimes, in the quest for a romantic connection, individuals ignore warning signs or red flags that indicate potential issues. Whether it's a partner’s inconsistent behavior, lack of respect, or incompatible values, ignoring these signs can lead to problems down the line. By dismissing red flags, you risk entering a relationship that may not meet your emotional or relational needs.
6. Neglecting Personal Growth
A common mistake in dating is neglecting personal growth and self-improvement. Being in a relationship requires personal maturity and self-awareness. If you are not actively working on your own personal development, it can impact your ability to contribute positively to a relationship. This might include addressing unresolved issues, developing healthy coping mechanisms, or enhancing emotional intelligence.
7. Having Unrealistic Expectations
Unrealistic expectations can set you up for disappointment and frustration in dating. Whether it’s expecting perfection from a partner or believing that a relationship will solve all of your problems, having unrealistic expectations can prevent you from appreciating the value of genuine connection and growth. This can lead to dissatisfaction and difficulties in maintaining a healthy relationship.
How a Dating Coach Can Help
1. Enhancing Self-Awareness
A dating coach helps you develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Through self-assessment and reflection exercises, you can gain clarity about your values, needs, and relationship goals. This self-awareness is crucial for making informed decisions and avoiding relationships that are not aligned with your true self. A dating coach can guide you in identifying patterns and preferences that may influence your dating choices.
2. Improving Communication Skills
Effective communication is essential for building strong relationships. A dating coach can provide you with tools and techniques to enhance your communication skills. This includes learning how to express your needs assertively, actively listen to your partner, and handle conflicts constructively. By improving these skills, you can create a more open and honest dialogue in your relationships.
3. Guiding Relationship Pace
A dating coach can help you navigate the pacing of a relationship. They offer strategies to ensure that you take the time to get to know your partner and evaluate compatibility before making significant commitments. By setting realistic timelines and benchmarks, a dating coach helps you avoid rushing into relationships and making hasty decisions.
4. Balancing Attraction and Compatibility
While physical attraction is important, a dating coach emphasizes the significance of compatibility and shared values. They help you focus on factors beyond appearance, such as emotional compatibility, life goals, and mutual interests. This balanced approach ensures that you build relationships based on a deeper connection rather than superficial qualities.
5. Identifying and Addressing Red Flags
A dating coach assists you in recognizing and addressing red flags early in the dating process. Through guided discussions and evaluations, you learn to identify behaviors and traits that may indicate potential issues. This proactive approach helps you make informed decisions and avoid relationships that may not be healthy or fulfilling.
6. Promoting Personal Growth
Personal growth is essential for a successful relationship. A dating coach encourages you to focus on your own development and well-being. This includes working on self-improvement, addressing past issues, and building emotional resilience. By investing in your personal growth, you enhance your ability to contribute positively to a relationship and foster a healthy partnership.
7. Setting Realistic Expectations
A dating coach helps you set realistic expectations for yourself and your relationships. They provide guidance on understanding what constitutes a healthy and fulfilling relationship, and help you manage expectations in a way that supports genuine connection and growth. This balanced perspective helps you avoid disillusionment and appreciate the nuances of a real relationship.

Tumblr media
Birthdate: April 13th
Sun - Self, individuality, personality
Tumblr media
People born under the sign of Ares
Aries are friendly and merry people who have a strong sense for fair play. They are good colleagues, because they have many good ideas that they do not manage to realize themselves, but their enthusiasm helps engage others in realizing their ideas together with them. If they are in a managerial position they are fair bosses but it is hard for them to accept lazy and clumsy work partners. They solve mutual problems quickly, sharply and uncompromisingly. These people cannot stand if somebody tells them what to do or gives them orders and they want to keep their freedom and independence at any cost. Their courage is incredible, but it stems from confidence they gained by their performance.
Moon - Emotions, instincts, roots, mother
You feel safe in moments when you can impress others and get praise and admiration. Yet, when you get into the spotlight, you may find yourself at a loss. You probably have a desire for money and social status, and have a strong ability to get it. Maybe you should admit your fear of criticism and your inability to accept criticism. It is very important to accept feedback and use it for improvement; do not try to only make excuses for yourself. You have a talent for drama and creative activities; and because of your playfulness you are likely very good with children. Learn how to keep your distance, because you unnecessarily perceive everything either as praise or as insult.
Mercury - Thinking, communication, intellect, learning
People with Mercury in Pisces like art, mysticism and psychology. These people speak with emotions. They have a sensitive mind that absorbs a lot of information. Ideas and solutions emerge easily, without any effort. Because of this mental connection, they are sometimes not sure if their thoughts are their own. They unfortunately often resist the sensitivity of their mind. They doubt their credibility because it seems to them that some thoughts and opinions come "from elsewhere." Resisting the sensitivity of their brain will eventually lead to certain mental exhaustion. However, if they stop worrying about it and let their ideas flow through their mind then these thoughts will give them great inspiration.
Venus - Sensuality, love, harmony, pleasure
People with Venus in Aries could be described in only one word - imps. They are impishly immoral. They are shameless in the way they blatantly pursue the object of their desire. They are very impulsive and impatient in everything related to love and relationships. The more cultured parts of their personality can try to suppress it, but there is something wild in their way of loving, something that can never be completely suppressed by so-called civilised behaviour. Venus in Aries adds passion to feelings because its influence is mixed with the passion of Mars, which rules this sign. These people are not afraid to show their feelings and they do so with passion, and this makes them usually popular with the other sex. They may marry in a rush. However, this kind of love cannot last long. The fire of passion finally burns love, and marriages that are the result of this love are the sources of family misfortune. Venus in Aries also tempts these people to spend more money than they can afford. When it comes to love, they always lose their head. They throw themselves into a love affair and they are convinced that this is the only true love between two people in the entire world, well, maybe with one exception: Romeo and Juliet. When their love ends, they pick up the pieces and try to save the dead relationship in all possible ways. If it fails, they start again and it will be the same as the first time. Regardless of the number of mistakes they make in their love life they are sure that the true love is within reach.

WHY PATIENCE?
Hiya! I wanna ask you a few questions? And I
want you to not only ask yourself, these questions, but also ask your near and dear ones? Especially to the current generation, yes, I will repeat that, especially to the current generation.
1) Do you want quick results for anything, and everything you do?
2) Do you hunt for shortcuts to acquire fame and money also success quickly?
3) Do you become restless, angry, irritated, stressed, violent when you don't get whatever you desire quickly or at the time expected?
4) Do you think all these behavioural pattern of yours is actually getting you somewhere, giving you true peace and happiness?
No need to answer me, or maybe tell me anything, answer yourself honestly, and if your heart desires a true solution to these problems, then read my Tumblr post below.
One more thing, entertainment, latest trending music, jokes, dance is all good, and essential to relax, but, it doesn't let you acquire your dream life, so gaining practical knowledge, that would be of aid to you in your day to day life is important, hence do listen, and share my posts as much as possible, because knowledge is true power.
PATIENCE
The definition of patience, for a lot of people, means waiting, but waiting, is only a part of patience, most importantly, people take wrong, or hasty decisions a lot of time, because, they feel that they need to wait, and they don't know the skills needed to wait, and just can't wait, as we all know empty mind and unease is devil's workshop, isn't it?.
Thus patience is the ability to be calm, and control the inner restlessness, that includes negative chattering, and also not to get influenced, by the pessimistic environment around. So first and foremost, let's see what happens when you lack it?
Today's world is definitely a modern, digital and fast world, yes, but yet, patience is a must, as a lot of things, do need time, for instance; people taking decisions, complicated problems being solved, constructions, and many more, isn't it? (181)
Thus if we are impatient, then we will be stressed out over situations beyond our control, and especially the ones where in results obtaining, takes time, and also might be unpredictable.
Not just that, we might rush into something that is not called for, and become an embarrassment for ourselves, prove ourselves unworthy and incapable, speak in frustration, and prove ourselves arrogant, scary, thereby losing our self respect, and letting our nay sayers win over and control the situation, pulling away great opportunities from us, loosing competitions not called for, making a mess of our lives, and also acquire regretful, ashamed and upsetting feeling.
Thus, we are going to get into, or create unhealthy relationships and decisions. We all know very clearly, that patience is undoubtedly a virtue, but, obviously that's not enough, it's most important and more important to know how to do it right? let's see, how to cultivate it.
CULTIVATING PATIENCE:
Firstly, we should and must know how to distract ourselves, while waiting, so; do things that don't make you restless while waiting, it could be listening to music, dancing, singing, playing, reading etc, also one thing won't work, it's not sufficient; we need to definitely have a bucket list.
This bucket list, is like the key to unlock your patience, again, however; just this isn't enough, we also need to have the right mindset. You have to instruct, and control your mind, to actually get yourself involved in these distraction activities, so that you don't loose your calm.
Tell yourself; " I have my list, I am mentally prepared, and I am going to follow and obey the plan, no matter what". Keep repeating this unto yourself, especially, whenever you feel that you are getting off track.
Check your triggers, one of the crucial loophole, is that you want things quickly, however; if you acknowledge the fact that, you might land in a pothole, or in a pit, if you move in a haste, and then imagine the consequences, then you will surely be in control.
Another important triggers are anxiety, anger, and frustration, and also worry. Every problem, has a solution, some problems can be solved quickly, but some especially the bigger ones and the complicated ones need time, and hence patience.
Patience helps you to be resilient and graceful, hence please practice it.

What Is Humanity's Primary Motivator?
A Look at Maslow's Hierarchy and The Basic Human Needs Before we may be motivated by higher-level wants, such as love and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization, Maslow asserts that our most fundamental needs, such as physiological necessities and safety, must be satisfied. Maslow's hierarchy of needs offers a helpful foundation for comprehending why people act as they do. Human motivation to obtain food, water, and shelter is the most fundamental driving force behind human behavior. After these requirements are satisfied, we work to meet our safety requirements, such as stability and security. As we rise to the hierarchy, we work to satisfy our social wants, such as love, belonging, and social connection. Next, we fulfill our esteem demands, which include self-worth, respect, and acknowledgment. We aim for self-actualization, which entails achieving our potential, seeking personal development, and pursuing our passions and objectives, at the top of the hierarchy. How Emotions Affect Motivation When it comes to motivation, emotions are essential. Positive emotions like happiness, enthusiasm, and anticipation may spur us to achieve our objectives. In contrast, negative emotions like fear, rage, and grief can produce us to take action to improve our situation. Our feelings may give us insightful feedback about our needs, wants, and objectives. When our wants are being satisfied or not, when our aims are being attained or defeated, and when our values are being respected, they might signify that. We may guide our journey toward our goals and acquire insightful information about our motives by tuning into our emotions. The Impact of Individual Beliefs and Values Our values and beliefs impact our motivation. We are more likely to be inspired to work toward our goals and objectives when our behaviors are consistent with our values and beliefs. We have a sense of direction, a moral compass, and a guiding principle for our activities because of our values and beliefs. They have the power to motivate us to stand up for our values, change the course of history, and live morally and authentically. We may find greater meaning and purpose in our life by having our activities reflect our values and beliefs, which can increase our drive and contentment.
Different Life Stages and Motivation
What Drives Young People and Adolescents? Curiosity, the need to learn, and the need for social approval and a sense of belonging are three common motivators for kids and teenagers. They are eager to discover their surroundings, learn new things, develop talents, and make friends. Their parents, instructors, friends, and the larger social and cultural milieu might impact their motivation. We may encourage children's learning, growth, and well-being by comprehending what drives them. What Drives Adult Behavior? Adults frequently have a range of motivations, such as familial obligations, financial security, personal progress, and satisfaction aspirations. They are driven to support their families, advance their jobs, stay happy, and live purposeful lives. Their life experiences, individual values and beliefs, and societal and cultural background can all impact their drive. What Motivates Senior Citizens? The need to retain their independence, social interaction, the pursuit of lifelong learning, and the desire to leave a legacy are possible driving forces for older persons. They could be inspired to maintain their engagement and activity, give back to their communities, and impart their knowledge and wisdom to the younger generations. We can better assist older folks' well-being, dignity, and quality of life by understanding what drives them.
The Importance of Motivation for Professional and Personal Growth
The Secret to Upskilling Is Motivation and Learning By learning new skills and advancing existing ones, motivation is essential. When motivated, we are more likely to participate in learning activities, persevere in the face of difficulties, and eventually pick up new abilities and information. Curiosity, the need for mastery, competence, and the desire to realize our personal and professional objectives can all motivate learning. We may improve our abilities, expand our perspectives, and create new chances for growth and development by utilizing our desire to learn. The Road to Professional Growth: The Link Between Motivation and Career Development A crucial component of professional growth is motivation.  It motivates us to establish and pursue professional objectives, look for chances for professional development, and desire excellence in our job. Our love for what we do, our desire for accomplishment and recognition, and our dedication to our professional beliefs and objectives all fuel our motivation to succeed in our jobs. We may navigate our job pathways, overcome professional obstacles, and accomplish our career goals by finding a cause.
Ways to Increase Motivation
Setting definite, attainable objectives
Setting concrete, achievable goals helps increase motivation.  When we know what we want to accomplish, we are more likely to be motivated to take the necessary actions to attain our objectives. Goals provide us with a feeling of purpose, a path for our journey, and a way to track our development. They may encourage us to push ourselves, keep going in the face of challenges, and enjoy our successes. We may increase our drive, build our confidence, and realize our goals by defining clear, attainable goals. Developing a Positive Attitude Developing an optimistic outlook can also increase motivation. We may increase our drive and resilience by concentrating on our advantages, acknowledging our accomplishments, and keeping a favorable mindset. A positive outlook may assist us in viewing difficulties as opportunities, failures as teaching moments, and barriers as stepping stones to achievement. It may motivate us to put our best efforts forward, to have faith in our abilities, and to persevere in the face of difficulty. Creating a Friendly Environment Fostering a supportive atmosphere at home or work might help with motivation. Our motivation to work toward our objectives is more likely to increase when we experience support and encouragement. We can get the tools, direction, and encouragement we need to achieve in a supportive atmosphere. It may encourage a feeling of community, improve our well-being, and motivate us to fulfill our potential.

The Struggle is Real: Financial Advisor Problems and How to Solve Them
Tumblr media
It’s 2023, and everyone’s embarking on a new era in finance.
When it comes to threading new land in money matters, financial advisors have the most advantage as they are our trusted captains taking us towards our desired destination — the place of financial success and security. However, that isn’t to say that they never face struggles on the way there.
As a financial advisor, while you may be trusting in your skills, you also surely know that there are difficult aspects you will have to go through in order to truly be that confident money compass for various people who are not exactly sure which direction to take when taking care of their finances.
In this blog, we’ll be going through the exact struggles that financial advisors experience, and if you’re going through these problems, we’re presenting ways to solve them so that you can fearlessly take the lead and cross the finish line to success together with your clients.
STRUGGLE #1: Money Expectations vs. Reality.
Tumblr media
We’re in an era where everything comes instantly — or at least an era where everybody wishes everything comes instantly. One of those things? Well, it’s money.
It’s certainly no question that when people invest in something, they want that investment to become twice, thrice, or even four times as much when it returns to them. It’s a big expectation, and as much as we would want to be optimistic and say that any dream can come true, such expectations just do not seem to be cut out well for reality. Often though, clients are not able to understand this and can put the blame on the advisors.
Solution? Instill Trust In Your Clients.
As a financial advisor, it’s important to be able to make your portfolio stacked with impressive qualifications and experience so that you can really get to show your clients that you have superb knowledge and that they should be able to trust you. Furthermore, carry yourself well and speak with consistency so that your clients can really tell that you really know how to apply your knowledge.
Remember that you are basically selling your knowledge to your clients, and you need to make sure that you can provide them with as much evidence as possible that you are skilled. Products that are shown to clearly be good are usually the ones that are seeked the most.
If having great skills and really showing that you are great at what you can do still doesn’t work, then you will need to take deep breaths and lengthen your understanding.
Note that this could happen because it is human nature for us to overestimate reality and expect more things even when we know that this probably is something that isn’t likely to happen. Be kind towards your clients and practice great empathy towards them. Remember that that’s why they hired you — so that you can help them understand finance more.
STRUGGLE #2. Going Through Heaps of Information.
Tumblr media
Being a financial advisor means having to advise and teach your clients how to make the best decisions with their money so that they never really lose them but instead multiply them.
As a result, besides how you shouldn’t stop believing, you also shouldn’t stop learning. You should always be up on your toes to any information or update that comes in the financial world so you can effectively advise your clients. Although, of course, it isn’t always so easy, especially when a rush of news reports about the current state of finance comes through. Keeping up on your toes with everything can begin to hurt, and you may begin to break down. By then, what should you do?
Solution? Organize Your Information.
So that you wouldn’t be so overwhelmed with everything, you should firstly take a few deep breaths and then pull up Notion (make an account if you haven’t yet) or OneNote. Through these platforms, you can be able to effectively categorize your information using colors or other designs you see fit. You can also even easily hyperlink them.
Organizing important material can help you effectively study and understand them so that you can do the best in your job.
In fact, organizing is absolutely helpful in just about anything. Learn here how else you can implement organization in your success story so that you can eventually get to financialize.
STRUGGLE #3. Actually Being Able to Get Clients in the First Place.
Tumblr media
In the financial advisor industry, being able to get a sea of clients can be an immensely difficult thing. In order to really deliver your services, you need to be able to have great connections, but what if you’re just starting out and you haven’t really established those kinds of connections?
Solution? Market, Market, Market.
When you don’t have the best connections yet, digital marketing is the handiest tool. Get yourself known through viral videos, ads, or even aesthetic feeds on your various social media platforms (like Facebook and Instagram).
Once you consistently market yourself, you are sure to be able to receive more clients than expected. And as you do, just like the information that you’ll need to study, sorting through your clients can be a very difficult task. That can all be easily managed and organized so that you never miss an opportunity through Bling!

The Hermit Pick a Pile
What needs to be illuminated in your life right now, what mask do you wear in public, who are you truly, and how can you embrace who you truly are?
Please remember that this is a general reading and some things may not apply to you. Don't force it to fit. I offer paid readings on my page if you would like a personal reading. Prices are listed there. Please message me or email me if you are interested!
Tumblr media
Pile One (Rose Quartz):
Tumblr media
What needs to be illuminated in your life right now?
Knight of Wands:
I think you aren't aware of how fast your life is moving right now. You recently experienced a change in your life that has caused everything in your life to accelerate rapidly. I think that thing was a choice you made. You may have hesitated when it came to making that decision, but now that you have, your life is moving quite quickly.
What mask do you present to others?
Six of Swords:
Out in public, you would much rather have others see you as someone who uses their brain instead of their heart. You think that if you were to show emotions to others then that would give them the ammo they need to damage you. You are a great problem solver, and you want everyone around you to come to you for answers to their problems, not for emotional support.
I am getting strong Virgo energy here.
The Alien:
You like to be mysterious and not fully understood. You want people around you to not know the real you. Your curiosity leads you to become involved in other people's affairs, wanting to solve their problems but never showing who you truly are in the process. You don't let people get too close to you, just close enough for them to be satisfied.
Who are you when you’re alone?
King of Cups:
When you are free from the judgment of others, you are an extremely sensitive person. You have a very kind, loving, and generous nature. You have a pure heart and pure intentions. It's quite different from what you show in public, which is interesting.
The Gamine:
You are quite unconventional. Many times you reject what society wants from you, choosing instead to follow your own path. Your style is quite bohemian and independent. You have a whimsical way about you that draws people in and makes you extremely charming.
What is your potential if you could embrace your true self?
The Star:
A choice you made may have emptied you of hope in life, preventing you from seeing how fast your life is moving towards your goals, as well as who you are. As soon as you begin to embrace who you truly are, you will begin to find hope in your life again. Soon you will embrace your more optimistic side.
Pile Two (Amazonite):
Tumblr media
What needs to be illuminated in your life right now?
Queen of Cups:
Currently, you may feel that there are people in your life who do not have your best interests at heart. You believe they won't be loyal to you and will take advantage of you in the long run. Your guides are telling you that this is untrue by bringing this card out. You are incorrect in your suspicions of this person. You can count on this person to be loyal to you and to look out for your interests.
What mask do you present to others?
Seven of Pentacles:
When you are out in public, you come across as a very hard worker. Due to your strong work ethic, you want people to think that you are driven towards success. You are also a very patient person, constantly planting seeds that will flourish in the future.
The Witch:
The Witch strives to educate herself constantly in order to further her success. It is her goal to manifest her dreams and be the strongest person she can be. In public, surrounded by the judgments of others, you present yourself in this manner.
Who are you when you’re alone?
Page of Wands:
Whenever you are alone and free from the judgments of others, you are a free thinker and a thrill seeker. You are always looking for new adventures, especially in exotic locations. You have a very youthful spirit and are very cheerful.
The Career Girl:
Career Girls are driven to succeed and are always striving to climb the career ladder. They are very independent and are willing to preserve towards their desired outcome no matter what. According to your guides, this is who you are when you are alone, and it's very similar to who you are in public.
What is your potential if you could embrace your true self?
Two of Wands:
Once you embrace your true self and start to show your true self to the public, you'll be able to see that this person who you are suspicious of is actually loyal to you. With this person, you will be able to work better together and create a better partnership.
Six of Wands:
Once you do this, you will also have more success in your life. All your endeavors will be rewarded with victories. At this point, all you have to do is accept who you are and start expressing yourself publicly.
Pile Three (Amethyst):
Tumblr media
What needs to be illuminated in your life right now?
The Moon:
Having this card come out is a bit redundant but it is your guides saying that there clearly is something in your life that you are not viewing correctly. You are thinking one thing when in fact it is actually a completely different thing.
Four of Pentacles:
Currently, you may feel very possessive over certain things in your life. Perhaps you believe that something terrible is going to happen that will cause it to leave your life. It might also be that you feel others are not worthy of experiencing what you have, which makes you unwilling to share. Regardless of your reasoning, your guides are telling you that these views are incorrect.
What mask do you present to others?
The Fool:
Publicly, you appear to be a very youthful free spirit. You wear the mask of someone who rushes into every situation that life throws your way, never too worried about what the future holds, living in the moment.
Queen of Pentacles:
In addition, you present yourself as a loving, sensual individual. With a heart full of love for nature and animals. You have a very kind heart and love to share with the people around you. You strive to make sure everyone feels comfortable around you, so you do everything in your power to make sure everyone is taken care of.
The Spinster:
You present yourself as someone who is highly independent, preferring to be alone. Some may think you are lonely that way, but you aren't. You enjoy being alone and spending time with your animals and plants.
Who are you when you’re alone?
Knight of Wands:
Your charisma and confidence are enhanced when you're free from the judgment of others. You never back down from a challenge and aren’t afraid to take action. When you are alone, you still exude that Fool's energy, but you are more mature.
The Alien:
You like to be mysterious and not fully understood which is why you rarely show your true self around other people. You want people around you to not know the real you. Your curiosity leads you to become involved in other people's affairs, wanting to solve their problems but never showing who you truly are in the process. You don't let people get too close to you, just close enough for them to be satisfied.
What is your potential if you could embrace your true self?
Three of Wands:
Your guides are saying that once you fully embrace your true self and start to show others who you truly are, you will work much better in groups. With time, you will surround yourself with many people who love and support you for who you are. As a result, you will no longer feel possessive over the things in your life. The closer you become to others, the more generous you will become.
Pile Four (Fuchsite):
Tumblr media
What needs to be illuminated in your life right now?
Ace of Pentacles:
You may be unaware of new opportunities entering your life that will be bringing you more wealth and abundance. Or, you may be unaware of the effects that these new opportunities have on your life.
Six of Pentacles:
If you happen to be unaware of the effects that these new opportunities are having on your life, it seems that with this care you are becoming more of a generous person. If you are already aware of your generosity, then you may not realize that it is actually hindering your life right now. You may be giving more than you're receiving.
What mask do you present to others?
Knight of Wands:
When you are in public, you come across as someone who is very charming and confident. Because you don't want others to see the true you, you act as if you are extremely confident. When you are around people, you tend to take on whatever is thrown at you since you don't want them to think you are anything less than capable.
Four of Wands:
You are the party planner, the person who is always in close contact and brings people together. When around others, you tend to be pretty cheerful, even if it's an act. You are known as the friend who is always up for a good time and is always happy, which can sometimes be a burden, especially when you don't feel like entertaining.
The Dancer:
You have a lot of energy when you are surrounded by others and you are willing to freely express yourself. Also, you are always eager to understand and connect with everyone around you.
Who are you when you’re alone?
Six of Wands:
You seem to genuinely show your true self when you are around others. The only problem I am getting is that you tend to overdo the cheerful nature of yourself. You do not want people to think that you are anything less than happy. When you are alone though, you let that facade drop. You are more willing to express your darker side. You, however, are still a very confident person when you are alone. You love being in the spotlight and are a great leader.
The Earth Mother:
You have a strong connection to the earth and this side of you shows when you are alone. You may love gardening, or just being in nature. You have a very sensitive nature which only shows when you are alone or with people with whom you are comfortable.
I am getting very strong fire and earth energy here. You may have Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Taurus, Capricorn, or Virgo somewhere in your chart.
What is your potential if you could embrace your true self?
King of Pentacles:
When you begin to embrace your truest self, and it seems that you are not far from doing this, you will begin to embrace the King's energy. While you will still be very generous, you will be more aware of how generous you are. Also, you will have more abundance and wealth than you do now, which will enable you to fully embrace your leadership qualities.
Though tips are not required, they are very much appreciated. Thank you!

some follow-up thoughts on BnHA 306
mostly Deku angst, but also a little Baku angst (and some TodoBaku angst) mixed in for good measure. because there’s plenty of angst to go around.
1. “if I’d only been stronger...”
I’ll talk more about Deku later in this post as well, because there’s definitely plenty to talk about; this is the most character development he’s gotten in almost 200 chapters. but for starters, I want to discuss the possible parallels between Deku’s current character arc, and what is arguably the most iconic moment of angst/character development in the series.
Tumblr media
remember how this kid, who up until this point had rarely seemed to give two fucks about the world around him, suddenly revealed that he blamed himself for being the downfall of All Might? remember how it came almost out of nowhere? how he’d been hiding it, and trying to suppress it? “but even if I try to forget... sometimes it all just comes rushing back.”
yeah. so anyway, I got to thinking -- if being the cause of one hero’s downfall could affect someone this badly, what about being responsible for the downfall of all heroes?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
what if a boy who wanted nothing more than to keep people safe suddenly found himself at the epicenter of a disaster that killed hundreds, possibly even thousands of people?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now obviously, this is not the sole thing that’s troubling Deku right now; this kid has a whole array of traumas as of the War arc. like, you know it’s bad when Society As We Know It Coming To An End Partially Because Of You is the least of your problems. but still, I think this is worth bringing up, because the hero kids blaming themselves for things that aren’t their fault is hardly anything new. and yet, what with everything else that’s been going on -- all of the Todoroki drama, and Vestige revelations, and hospital antics, and political strife -- I feel like it’s easy to forget or overlook this little detail.
the fact is that AFO put this entire plan into motion solely in the hopes of finally obtaining OFA. every single thing that happened at Jakku -- Tomura powering up; Machia waking up and going on his rampage (after being ordered to do so by Tomura); and even Dabi/Touya choosing this moment to finally strike (because he knew this was when the reveal would do the maximum damage -- when people’s faith in heroes was already wavering) -- every last bit of it can ultimately be traced back to AFO’s desire to steal OFA. which, obviously, makes it AFO’s fault, not Deku’s. but then, Kamino wasn’t actually Katsuki’s fault either. it wasn’t his fault the villains went after him (but he blamed himself anyway), and it wasn’t his fault that people got hurt in the ensuing battle to save him (but he blamed himself anyway).
just. I think we’re underestimating just how strong of an impact all of this likely had on Deku. we haven’t really had the chance to see him process it yet. he’s been too busy, and there have been too many other things going on. but I’m telling you guys, that empty look in his eyes in the final page of the chapter? I can all but guarantee you that at least some of that emotional weight is coming from this.
sure would be nice if he had a friend who knew exactly what that was like, and could help him process the guilt and all of the other associated emotions, just like Deku once helped him. unfortunately I’m not so sure things will be that easy this time around. anyways though let’s move on to a couple of other thoughts and speculations.
2. “...and I bullied him.”
one of my least-favorite BnHA fanfic tropes is the one where the rest of class 1-A somehow finds out about Katsuki and Deku’s history -- i.e. that Katsuki bullied Deku throughout most of their childhood. mind you, it’s not the concept itself that I dislike; it’s mostly how it’s used. a lot of times it’s just an excuse to have all of the other kids turn on Katsuki and ostracize him; either because the author thinks that’s what he deserves, or else so that Deku can eventually come to his rescue and defend him and shame the rest of the class for not seeing how much he’s changed. either way, it’s usually pretty awkward to read, and more often than not the characters are pretty OOC (especially Ochako and Todoroki).
however! there’s a big difference between fanfic and canon, and just because I’m not a fan of this trope in the former doesn’t mean it couldn’t be executed well in the latter. and lately I’ve been thinking about this a lot. mainly for three reasons:
the recent (can we still call it recent?? well whatever) scene where Katsuki confessed to All Might that he used to bully Deku is now one of my favorite scenes in the entire series, and proof that this can be executed well.
both Todoroki and Deku have finally had their respective big secrets revealed to the rest of the class. so like, idk. feels like it just might be secret-revealing season now, you know?
and lastly, as a result of Deku’s secret about OFA finally being revealed, the rest of 1-A now either knows, or can extrapolate, that he used to be quirkless.
and from there, I feel like it’s not all that hard to put two and two together with how terrible Kacchan and Deku’s relationship was when they first started at UA. that’s not a terribly difficult puzzle to solve. so I feel like it might come out anyway, and if so, I’d prefer Bakugou telling them himself, and taking responsibility as part of his atonement process. because we know that he regrets it. we know their relationship has changed. we know that he has changed. and so I think I might like to see this.
alternately, if confessing to the entire class is too much, at the very least I could see him confessing to Shouto, because I’ve always felt like this was one of the big things that made Katsuki so resistant to letting Todoroki call him a friend. because I feel like there’s a part of Katsuki that saw the parallels between Endeavor’s abuse of Shouto and his own bullying of Deku, and thought, he wouldn’t be so quick to call me his friend if he actually knew the truth. and so there’s actually been this roadblock wedged between them this whole time that Shouto doesn’t even know about. because Shouto hates Endeavor. and so it’s not such a leap to assume he’d hate Katsuki too if he knew just how terrible he’d been to Deku when they were younger.
not that I think he actually would! actually I don’t think either of those things is actually true (because Shouto clearly doesn’t hate his father either, in spite of everything that’s happened). but the point isn’t what I think -- the point is what Katsuki thinks. and I really do think there’s a good chance he’s worried about Shouto hating him, and it’s one of the things that’s made him so reluctant to accept his friendship. anyway, so I’m really just rambling now, but you get my point. I don’t know if this is actually going to happen, but it’s a scene I would like to see if Horikoshi decides to indulge me.
3. “...so when you wake up, please give him my best.”
Tumblr media
and now, as promised, back to Deku.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ngl guys, when I first saw this image, my immediate thought was that Gran must have died. because I mean, hello, leaving U.A.?? donning himself in his teacher’s old cape?? empty, exhausted look in his eyes?? what else were we supposed to think lol.
but maybe that was an overreaction. because when I think about it more, Gran’s death isn’t strictly necessary in order to push Deku over the edge. first of all, there’s already the whole “hero society is in ruins now because of you” thing I mentioned earlier. but also, there are just so many other things. like, let’s just list them here because omg. what a rough couple of days this kid had.
he was forced to battle TomurAFO and was terribly injured in the process (most of which was his own fault, but he wouldn’t have gone that far with OFA unless he felt like he had no choice)
and it wasn’t just him that was injured, either. in fact, even though he tried to act as bait to keep everyone else safe, he wasn’t able to stop three of the people closest to him from nearly being killed right before his eyes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and of course that last one was especially traumatic, because it was Kacchan, and because he had to watch Kacchan nearly die just to protect him. out of all the things that Deku witnessed in this arc, this might be the one that had the biggest impact on him
he was also basically helpless to do anything to protect Shouto and Endeavor when Dabi showed up. so again, we have this running theme of people he cares about being hurt and him not being able to save them
and he also got sucked into the OFA Interstellar Dream Vortex for a brief spell during the battle, during which he learned that AFO had possessed Tomura. more importantly, he learned that Tomura was Nana’s grandson, a fact which was only briefly touched on during that scene, but which I think wound up being the trigger to the whole avalanche that ended with Deku leaving UA. but more on that in a moment
anyway so just to wrap this all up, the battle eventually ended, Tomura got away despite all of their efforts, and then Deku wound up comatose in the hospital for two days. which brings us to the most recent chapters, during which
Deku learns that he will be the last wielder of OFA, whether he likes or not
Deku learns the identity of the last two mystery OFA users
and then at some point, he wakes up and presumably talks to Gran, and winds up with his cape
something happened during these last two scenes which helped to push Deku over the edge. I won’t delve into the matter of the Second or Third users for now, although most of you already know my suspicions regarding that, and I do think that would fit into the general pattern here (that is, the pattern of Deku feeling more and more strongly that he is putting the people around him in danger, and his fear of losing them becoming so overwhelming that it eventually pushes him to leave).
but that’s not what I want to talk about for now. what I want to talk about is Gran. specifically, what it is that Deku discussed with Gran. and this is where we come back to that reveal I mentioned earlier -- that Tomura is Nana’s grandchild.
Tumblr media
basically, what I think happened is that Deku mentioned seeing Nana in the OFA Zany Psychedelic Spirit Void, which led to the topic of Tomura, and the fun fact Deku recently learned about him being related to Nana. this, in turn leads to Gran divulging his various regrets about everything that happened with him and Nana and Kotarou. his intent is to apologize to Deku for placing the burden of their failures on him. unfortunately, the part that Deku actually gets fixated on instead is this:
All for One hunted down and killed Nana’s son (and probably her husband as well), and stole her grandchild and psychologically tortured him into becoming a mass murderer, for no other reason than that Nana had once held OFA
in other words, AFO can and will hurt and kill anyone Deku is close to, anyone who has any kind of connection to him at all, without mercy, and regardless of whether it actually gives him any kind of tactical advantage or not. he’ll do it simply to hurt him. no other reason necessary.
I don’t know about you, but for me that would be a terrifying realization. and for Deku, I think it just might have been the tipping point.
so, let’s recap.
Deku learns that AFO is after him
AFO/Tomura very nearly kills several of Deku’s most important people, including Kacchan
and then he learns that this is just the tip of the iceberg, and realizes that all of their lives are still in danger and will continue to be as long as Deku is AFO’s target
and then add to all of this the misplaced guilt about society already being shambles, and the heroes already having more than enough to worry about. they’re barely holding things together as it is. and we already know how Deku feels about being a burden to them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and so instead, he leaves. of course he does. in hindsight, I think this was inevitable.
the question is, did anyone else also put the pieces together in time to realize what Deku was planning before he actually left? specifically, did Katsuki, who understands Deku’s self-sacrificial nature better than anyone else, see the signs and put two and two together? like he did back at Jakku?
Tumblr media
and if he did, would Deku have been willing to accept his help again?
Tumblr media
somehow, I can’t help but think it might not be that easy this time.
anyway, so that was a lot of rambling, lol. sorry about that. I JUST HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS about all of this angsty shit. tired nomad Deku needs hugs and comfort and someone to reassure him that he doesn’t have to face this alone, and that everything is going to be all right. HE IS JUST A LITTLE BOY. this is too much, and I cannot handle any of these feels, and oh my god, somebody please help him.

How about a Cale proposing/asking out Reader for marriage/date?? I love your fics and this is just a thought that I often imagine (It's usually people asking him out but this might be a nice change!? I think...)
Tumblr media
Ft: Cale
Tap tap tap tap tap-
It was the soothing rhythmic sound of not getting anything done. Concentration having long since fled the premises as he stared blankly at the notes on the table, watched as the blue nib danced up and down and up and down again.
The notes were important he supposed but his heart wasn’t into it, mind occupied and consistently distracted by a particular receipt on his table.
It’s been several days and he has yet to hear a reply.
He’s not quite sure what to make of it. Certain social rules of this world clashed with his modern-day knowledge of social cues. One would think he’d have an advantage as one who transmigrated into a novel he’d read, but The Birth of a Hero never properly introduced the social decorum of the world in detail.
Perhaps the only reason he made it thus far with his half baked knowledge of etiquette was thanks to Cale’s trashy reputation which, ironically enough, made people more accepting of his faux pas. Alas, if it weren’t for Hans’ persistent nagging that he should handle this important matter ‘the proper way’, he really wouldn’t have bothered. Now he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. Would it mean anything if he were to send a follow up letter? Or perhaps he should go there himself-
A knock on his door distracted him from his thoughts and he glanced up to see the origin of his headaches, Hans, peek in.
“Young master, you have guests from the _________ household and-“
Cale was out the doors before Hans finished.
⚛》》》》》◆《《《《《⚛
Despite having your back to him it was almost embarrassing how quickly he was able to pick you out amidst the crowd of people.
“__________.” He greeted, snow crunching beneath his boots as he neared your side, he hoped his breathing wasn’t too quick as he’d rushed over as soon as he’d learn of your visit. The burning question rested on the tip of his tongue, the cure-all to his worries as he reached for your hand. “I have been wait-“
“Cale! Just the person I wanted to see!” You turned, smile brightening your features as you pulled him closer, close enough that he could see how the cold had already kissed your cheeks pink.
“Did you receive-“
“Yes, that’s why I’m here!”
A flutter of nerves was set alight in his chest that made him weirdly jittery. How unusual. He’d always been so assured of the results of his plans (and he’s confident in his prediction of your response) yet he couldn’t help but feel flustered. He understood nothing of this world’s customs and Hans did mention a response would’ve usually been sent by letter. Does you coming here in person symbolise something he’s not getting again?
Something was pressed into his hand and his heartrate spiked uncomfortably as he glanced down to receive the scroll you passed to him.
He hesitated, frowning at the brown parchment. Noting the ugly frayed edges and wondering, why couldn’t you have just told him what’s written within since you’ve travelled all the way here anyways.
“Take a look.” you urged him and he sighed.
“Can’t you-“ his words faltered off abruptly as he unfurled the paper to reveal a mess of lines and sketches, his mind blanked as he stared uncomprehending at the contents. “W.. what is this..”
“Isn’t it exciting?” you glanced at the paper, delight and unadulterated joy shone through your eyes. “The designs for the waterways are finally complete! We can finally move onto the next phase, I’ve even gathered the others to discuss this! It shouldn’t take long, we just need to iron out the logistics and-“
He’d tuned out as he stared at prototype on the page, his mind struggled sluggishly to make sense of what’s happening. Cale’s expression remained carefully blank as he lifted his head up to look at you and finally noticed the circle of vassals awkwardly standing around them.
Huh?

“..implementation of the new waterways will greatly improve the situation in the slums and if we...”
If looks could set things on fire, the conference table would’ve long turned to ashes with how hard Cale’s been glaring. He had rested his two elbows on the oak table, fingers weaved together to create a net that supported his chin. To others, the firstborn son of the Henituse household may seemed to be in a contemplative mood, in truth, Cale had zoned out since the very beginning.
Perhaps there’s been a mistake. Maybe you did not receive it or perhaps he’d missed another social cue. Did he unknowingly commit another taboo?
“…Cale?”
He shouldn’t have listened to Hans’ ridiculous suggestions when he knew he had no patience for the roundabout and overly complex ways people liked to handle things here. He ran a tired hand past his face. Right, next thing he’s going to change in this world would be the removal of all redundant and confusing social constructs. First, he’ll start with the books on courtroom etiquette-
“Cale.”
A hand landing on his shoulder jolted him from his thoughts and he looked up to meet your frustrated gaze. He gaped, caught off guard by your ire.
Your long sigh pricked at his conscience but you interrupted him before he could explain himself. “I sent the others out for a break.” You sat on the edge of the table facing him, although clearly annoyed, there was concern in the slight dip of your brows.
“You’ve been distracted the entire meeting Cale.”
He rubbed the back of his neck, pressing against the tension building there. “Sorry.” He admitted softly.
“Is something on your mind?”
You.
“It’s nothing.” To admit that his thoughts were in shambles all because of an unanswered letter would’ve been far too pathetic. Gods, when have he fallen so low. “I need a drink.” he decided abruptly and would’ve gotten up and escaped, but you knew him too well. With a subtle shift of your weight that looked all too natural, you leaned forward and your two hands rested against his armrests to support yourself in a comfortable lean, effortlessly and efficiently caging him in.
“Cale.” Your tone broke no argument. It was clear he was not going anywhere until he cleared this matter up.
He sighed, slumping against the chair in defeat as he dragged his gaze slowly upwards with the reluctance of a child who’d just been caught with their hands in the cookie jar and was now forced to admit their wrongdoings. He hesitated when he caught a glimmer of something on your shirt.
Somewhere along the meeting, as the room got warmer you must’ve taken off your thinner overcoat, it would’ve explained why he hadn’t noticed such an obvious accessory from the beginning. But now that he had laid eyes on it, Cale can’t seem to look away. His hand reached out cautiously, brushing over delicate work, the building tension within him eased away as he reminiscences at the nostalgic sight.
It had only been several weeks ago when he’d went out to find the best jeweller in the Kingdom to have a specific brooch made. A bright golden shield with the Henituse’s family mascot emblazoned on, two magnificent rubies inlaid as eyes.
With the solid feeling of the brooch under his fingers, his previous worries melted off like sleet to be replaced with an indescribable warmth in his chest.
“It suits you.” he finally says. It really does.
Cale never liked things made in his honor, but something about you wearing his symbol made him feel a lot of things.
Your rumble of laughter made him look up and you brushed a hand through his locks, amusement in your eyes. “Is that it? That’s what’s been bothering you all morning?” you mused.
He snorted and slumped forward, resting his face on your lap. “You wouldn’t reject it.”
“Confident, aren’t we?” you laughed and carded your fingers through his hair.
It was the truth which you both knew. He had never been a stickler for rules. The relationship between you happened as a gradual process, you two clicked and it just eased into your daily routine and became the norm. There was never any need or desire to announce it officially. But as someone who transmigrated into this world, who also decided to continue living in it, he wanted to do it your way. Because in the end, even if it was bothersome, annoying and baffled his 21st century mind, the gesture would mean something to you.
Now that he’s solved the mystery, satisfied he didn’t botch up some weird etiquette, he had time to analyse the day’s events and realised one thing. He lifted his head from your lap, “You orchestrated this. The waterways weren’t that urgent.” he deadpanned, stuck between feeling awe that you took all the effort to tease him and indignation that you’d dare.
“It’s not often one gets the chance to fluster you.” you admitted, not at all feeling guilty when you got the chance to witness his bewilderment first hand.
“Aigoo..” he clicked his tongue and in one swift movement, stood from his seat, forcing you to lean back as his arms landed by your sides, effectively reversing your positions. “You’d bother the vassals for this, how bold.”
You blinked innocently up at him. “I bothered no one actually, they all volunteered to help.”
He frowned. Traitors. The whole lot of them. He could actually hear them cheering outside the room. He’s going to have to tell Basen to talk to them about their loyalties soon. Well. Not that it would matter much. He glanced down at the gleaming brooch on your chest and his lips twitched into a satisfied smile despite himself.
Perhaps there’s a reason behind such silly traditions after all.
Notes: So I combined these two asks because they’re pretty similar and to answer your questions: I believe Cale’s not one for grand gestures and formal things but he’ll occasionally abide by certain traditions if it has special meanings and especially if it’d mean something to you.

@dis--parity asked:  [ dog ] one muse approaches the other’s dog at a park // let's have Sonia meeting Theo's dog in public again!!
Second First meetings meme - No Longer Accepting!
It was a potential hazard, Sonia knew, to be out and about in a public park without her security's knowledge. But one wasn't a princess without experiencing two things: not balls and exquisite jewelry (though she had an abundance of both), but a day of meetings gone wrong and the subsequent ability to slip away from her staff undetected. Side-stepping about a dozen elementary school children, she pulled her hat further down over her blonde hair before tugging her coat tighter around her shoulders: between her coloring and her elegant clothes, it was easy for even a child to put two and two together and gawk (if she was lucky. If she wasn't, someone would actually recognize her and ask for a photo).
She grimaced, pausing to take a seat on an unoccupied bench. In the distance, she could hear some sort of enthusiastic, cheerful shouting, the sort that often accompanied an adrenaline rush and she rather wished she could join the revelry, whatever it happened to be. Instead, she'd spent an entire day in a series of meeting rooms with government officials as the various representatives from Novoselic to Japan defended her family's stance on visa and immigration policies, the princess allowed only to interject if they'd forgotten a key detail or anecdote. Mostly, she was present to be beautifully intimidating, the hope that a sweet smile from a young royal combined with an unrelenting drive to decimate lingering feelings of intolerance.
She exhaled heavily. Despite her fatigue, her manners did not allow for her to lean against the back of the bench. Nearly twenty-five years old and she needed to solve problems centuries in the making...it hardly seemed fair, but a royal life wasn't exactly a charmed one. If she trusted someone, she'd be the first to tell them as such. But at present, she had the very rare chance for solitude, and thus she kept her concerns to herself.
Or so she thought: it hadn't been five minutes when she felt something...firm, yet furry, brush against her knee through her coat. Having closed her eyes just for a moment, she opened them to find a familiar square head, almond-shaped eyes, and a rapidly wagging tail. This dog...she'd seen it before: its friendliness went beyond the normal welcoming attitude that most well-raised and adapted canines had, or so she'd learned in high school. This dog recognized her, though it was hardly for the title she bore. Instead, it sniffed at her empty hand, seeking out a pet, or a treat, or possibly both.

"You are...that dog from the bakery, are you not?" She greeted it brightly. It was, for now, the brightest spot in her day. Sonia obliged the furry acquaintance, reaching up to give it a few friendly pets and scratches, the dog's floppy ears swaying in delight as her fingers moved behind them to reach all of the itchy spots it could not. "I hope you are not here alone! It can be frightening to be on one's own, even if it is a desired change of pace. It is much better to spend your time in the company of friends."
Getting to her feet once again, she moved to check its neck for a collar or any other identifying information, just in case the owner wasn't near. If it really was lost, a trip to a police station was in order...but that would result in a royal mess of trouble. For her, not the dog, Sonia realized as she gave the canine a reassuring smile. She couldn't remember the exact hours, but she guessed the bakery where they'd originally met had long since closed for the day. The station would have to be the best bet: even the Princess of Novoselic couldn't hide a dog that size in her condo.
