thinking about it, three cheers songs are SOOOOOOOOOO cheesy ("AT THE END OF THE WOOORLD THE LAST THING I SEE IS YOU ARE NEVER COMING HOME") but they work because everything about it is uber dramatic. the larger-than-life themes, the comic-style cover, the story, the outfits. they work so well i didnt even realize til now. it's no wonder the same dude made "the world is ugly". it just doesnt work as well because all the drama was stripped down. maybe consequence of its release, but from the very beginning the idea was to have no drama. i dont think my chem -- namely gerard -- can have "no drama".
