Ok so u see. Spacedilves is in a space opera setting. and any self respecting epic has a map right at the start of the book right? right. so I thought it would have been really cool if spacedilves also had a map of the galaxy as an intro. Chinese astronomy galaxy maps are Abundant so how hard can it be to copy one right? right. reader I Died. several times. tracing every goddamn star. think of that when u see the final result that, if I may. in my humble opinion. is incredibly swagful <333 galaxy map my problem child whom I adore

I've been thinking about Manami and Wada again.

when Manami was talking with Tamba, and she said that she loved Wada, matter-of-factly, I didn't really believe her.

personally I use the word "love" a LOT to emphasize the strength of my feelings, it's not false, and it's not cheap, but it's still common. it's like saying you love your friends- it's definitely true, and it expresses real affection, but it's not automatically a declaration of boundless loyalty, depth, "you're a precious and irreplacable part of my life, and I would walk into fire for you". it's sort of like the difference between 'daisuki' vs. 'aishiteru'.

and Manami loved people, she loved her friends, and those she wasn't even very close with. she was an individual with a lot, a LOT of love to give. she loved Isono, Kamimura, and Hiroaki, she didn't need to say it out loud for it to be clear.

and Wada...sure, she spent more time with him than anyone else, and clearly liked him a lot, not only as someone she had a burning need to help, but also as an equal. a friend. a brother.

still. why would Wada be different, exactly? what makes Wada, as an individual, more special than any other friend, everyone she's been kind to, anyone else she wants to save but can't, any other person she'd met just 20 days ago?

"they're words of affection- not a declaration of commitment or a promise". that's how i felt. but after what had happened to her, and looking back at everything...

she loved him. she truly cared, and she truly loved him, despite not knowing him for very long or that deeply. and I think he saw that, just before she died. it finally managed to reached him. I believe that he felt similar to me. Wada doesn't tend to parrot people's deep sentiments back to them, he's definitely not the type to just "say things". he loved her, and knew she cared about him a lot, there was no doubt about that, but he's been hated and unwanted his whole life- there was still that barrier between them. he can't unequivocally trust things that might turn out to be just that- words.

but he believed her. and he said it back. her love pushed him forward and turned into wind beneath his wings. it gave him strength.

and that's why, now...

I believe her too. I believe her.

Manami….you will always be missed.
