this sucks. this all fucking sucks. i wish my dad cared about me like he thinks he does, or like he wants me to think he does, or like he pretends he does. when it's not inconvenient, when he isn't forced to remember i'm trans/mentally ill/disabled/unemployed/unemployable/a Failed Citizen.

i wish anybody was treating it like a big deal that i traveled halfway across the country to spend time with them. it felt like a big deal to me.

First Aid Month- Prompt 1 - Rust/Spark

Nightmares become indistinguishable from reality, at times. And when he wakes, he wonders if this too is just some horrible dream.

Maybe he’s asleep or maybe he’s awake right now; he can’t tell, as he looks out at the bodies before him. They’re all infected with that same Red Rust, that same horrible spark of unlife. First Aid knows that Pharma made it. He knows, and Ambulon knew too. But they still hadn’t been able to stop it.

Ambulon died first. First Aid had wailed and begged. He’d screamed for help as loud as he could; he’d apologized, for everything. He’d begged Primus, for anyone to help him. It didn’t matter. Ambulon still died.

First Aid knows he’s alone in this medical bay. He knows, because he’d timed it all to the second. The very instant the sparks of everyone in the first set of rows would fade out, inevitably destroyed by a plague that First Aid cannot stop. Not with Pharma dead, not with Ambulon dead. First Aid smiles bitterly, and he wonders if it was all worth it. Ratchet- Ratchet, who had played the briefest role as First Aid’s CMO- had gotten his hands, in the end. The ship got their victory.

And then the Rust came back. First Aid leans in, as though the body in front of him can hear his secret.

“I begged them to save him,” First Aid whispers. “After Topturn shot him. After Gygex helped ‘remove the Decepticon’. They wouldn’t even let me get close. They said they were doing this for me, after all.” First Aid’s optics crinkle as he smiles, warmly and comforting. “A few months in the brig. They’d been drinking; they hadn’t meant to do it. It was an accident.”

Of course there’s no cure. That’s the whole point. Pharma’s Red Rust might have died on Delphi, but it was easy to resurrect, to bring back to life with a terrible purpose. To set it on everyone he’d known. Ambulon had died first, and so everyone else followed.

The rest of the medbay is going to die soon too. The rest of the ship has already followed. First Aid had promised to watch over them, and as the last spark sputters out in the darkness, he knows that there’s only one thing left for him to do.

He reaches down into his chassis, and with bloody hands, he pulls, and pulls, and pulls-

Donnie is super hard for me to draw, particularly with his accessories, so I did some more studies. This time they're centered around him. I'll try to share some of the stuff I noticed. I'm not exactly sure how much I learned, but I think I got something out of it lol.

One of the ways I figured out to draw his head was similar to Raph's circle, where it's just an oval with extra steps. The eye line is on the center of the oval, and his snout is just a little below the eye line. The jaw connects to the bottom of the oval. The sides of his head go straight up the oval to the top, and connect. Alternatively, you can make his head a circle and extend the jaw/snout downwards, with his head and such still following a similar shape. The start of the goggles is like an ear's, with the top of the round part directly on the eye line. Goggle ears.

Donnie's body is built using angular tube like shapes. Different to Raph's, they're far longer and slimmer. He's built tall and lanky. His palms and base of his feet are built with polygons. His knee and arm pads still perplex me, but I think they extend forward and away from the joint. They follow the shape of the lower outside limb then extend past it, connecting back to the rest. His battle shall has two main parts, being the frame and then the actual outer part. It's like the other's carapace's, but with harsher separations and boxier. The upper part of his plaston dips at the same point as his shell. His plastron also doesn't have that bump right below the upper plastoron the other turtles do. It's smooth. His plastron follows a similarly boxy shape similar to Mikey, thought with harsher edges.

In conclusion, Donnie is tall, long, has a lot of squarer shape language, and a bunch of really confusing to draw accessories.

I feel like a lot of the one sided/pining/unrequited love jeanmarco fics are very ‘Jean is oblivious (and likes Mikasa instead)’ with a spoonful of ‘Marco holds most of the unrequited love for his bestie (who he is mostly sure is definitely straight and could never like him back).’

But I wanna see more Jean being hopelessly in love with the tall, freckled boy from Jinae that everyone loves.

I want stubborn, seen-as-somewhat-of-an-asshole Jean pining for the cute boy who everyone knows and trusts.

I need to see Jean facing earth-shattering, life-ending adoration for the kid that everyone says is going to be a great leader someday.

Give me Jean seeing Marco in the line up on day one of training and falling absolutely head-over-heels for him.

Show me Jean teasing Marco because he really likes him and it’s the only way he can think to get close to him.

Let me see Jean blushing and fumbling over his words each time he gets a private moment with Marco.

Where is my Marco is kind and loving to everyone, so he misses how much Jean is trying to work up the courage to do something.

Gimme Marco missing all of Jean’s hints and stupid pick-up-lines because they fly over his head.

I want a Marco who is so study-focused and convinced that Jean is a strait-laced, Trost-raised, hot-shot that teases him because Marco’s a classic teacher’s pet and not because he’s in love.

Present to me a Marco who confuses Jean’s moves as something he does to and for everyone, thus entirely missing the obvious conclusion that this is Jean hitting on him.

Do you have any thoughts about birds?

ALWAYS

Birds are really cool! I love corvids, especially jays (obviously) and magpies. Funky colours! Really smart! Magpies are actually super colourful if you get them in the right light, lots of purples and blues, not just plain black and white.

I also like birds because while I grew out of my dinosaur obsession, I still greatly enjoy them, and birds are their descendants! Which is very funky and cool. Wings in general are awesome, I do sometimes daydream about having a pair, even if yes, it’s physically impossible for a human to fly with wings without some MAJOR physical modifications.

I have a collection of various feathers… somewhere? Honestly it might be in my backpack I can’t remember if I brought it with me.
