WHAT HOBBIES I THINK THE GHOULS HAVE

This is my first time writing head-canons so be nice to me please! Anyway let’s get on with the hobbies!(if you see grammar errors no you don’t:3)

Aether

I think aether bakes but he takes it SO seriously. He has a journal of carefully curated recipes that he has spent YEARS perfecting. Aether has a special spot in his recipe journal for all the ghouls favorite type of cake and he makes them birthday cakes every year. Aethers favorite thing to bake is cookies. He makes big batches of cookies and gives them to his band mates on designated movie nights. He loves decorating cakes with the sisters of sin who work in the kitchen.

Sodo

Sodo dose glass work as a job and hobby. he helps make and maintain all of the stain glass around the ministry with a small group of sisters. He hand picked each sister both experienced and inexperienced with glass work. He teaches them everything he knows and enjoys helping them with learning curves and the difficult parts. He’s glass making studio is located directly underneath the abbey. But hobby wise sodo loves making glass sun catchers. Sodo also enjoys makes little glass figures and gives them to the siblings and older children. Since sodo is a fire ghoul when he works on glass he heats up his hands and is able to work without a blow torch. I personally headcanon he can breathe fire so he definitely uses that to help him.

Mountain

Mountain is soo obviously a plant dad but this man also does pottery! No one can tell me otherwise! His favorite things to make are cute pots for all his plants! He also makes vases for all the flowers he collects from the garden. He takes a day off every week and goes into to Forrest surrounding the ministry and forages for clay. He comes back completely covered in mud and grinning like a mad man. He makes everyone mugs for special occasions like birthdays and holidays. The thing he is most proud of is a pomegranate tea set that took him months to make. He very proudly drinks tea out of it every morning before heading out to work in the gardens

Phantom

PHANTOM IS A DND NERD! He and a group of siblings play dnd together every week. He plays as a vampire elf bard and is very proud of his character. He was very nervous when he first started playing dnd but the more he started playing the more confident he got with the siblings encouragement. He totally hasn’t almost tpk his party because he tried to fight a family of yetis by himself. (Totally not based on personal experiences) He loves dice! He is a dice goblin and has hundreds of dice. He is vary superstitious about his dice. His favorite set of dice are a set Swiss got him that are purple with bat on the 20.

Rain obviously does water colors. Rains favorite thing to paint is landscapes he especially loves painting beaches. He also loves painting flowers. he sometimes going to the ministry gardens and painting all the flowers he sees. Rain like to take a day and hike to the middle of the woods and paints what he sees. He doesn’t paint people a lot but when he does he likes to have a live reference so he will ask some of the ghouls to pose for him. He likes when mountain model for him because he doesn’t move around like some (cough cough Aurora and Swiss cough) of the the ghouls. Rain gets very shy and blushes bright blue when anyone compliments is art.

Swiss

this kreecher (affectionately) explores abandon places and grave yards. He sometimes tries and finds cryptids (As if he isn’t one.) and ghosts. Swiss will bring ghost hunting equipment with him when he goes to places he’s already explored to spice things up. Swiss’s favorite tool is the spirit box. He finds the response’s form the ghost so funny. One time swiss took aurora with him to an abandoned hospital to hang out. He challenged aurora to stay in a room by herself for five minutes with the spirit box. She absolutely freaked when it started to talk to her (he didn’t tell her what it was meant for) and booked it back to where Swiss was. Aurora never never went ghost hunting again.

Speaking of aurora I think aurora embroiders. cirrus originality taught her simple things she aurora ran with it. Aurora has a lot of energy so she sometimes have a hard time focusing when something doesn’t grab her attention or when she doesn’t have anything to do with her fidgeting hands. So when she first started embroidering she was like “this something that takes my focus AND i have something to do with my hands…THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!” She makes the most beautiful beaded plants. She will embroider a plant on every pare of pants she has. Also enjoys making embroidered patches for everyone. Makes all her friends pride flag patches.

Sunshine

My girl sunshine rollerblades! She has a pare of bright orange skates with light up wheels. She has gotten told of by sister imperator many times for rolling around the ministry to fast but she never listen. She sets a day off every week to put wd40 on her wheel bearings. She is very serious about taking care of her skates she treats them like they’re her babies. She knows so many tricks and definitely will teaches anyone who asks her how to skate and do tricks. Her favorite trick is skating backwards because is makes sister imperator nervous that she’s gonna bump into someone or something.

Cumulus

Cumulus loves puzzles so much. She challenges her self to start a new puzzle every month. her favorite types of puzzles are ones that have cute animals on them. Her comfort puzzle is a 900 piece puzzle with all kinds of kittens on them. She hosts a puzzle night in the library that everyone is invited to. She brings a 1000 piece puzzle and some snacks and she and everyone there works on the puzzle together. One time for her birthday all the ghouls got together and each got her a puzzle. She cried happy tears because she felt so loved. When she finished all of those puzzles she mogpoged framed them and hung them on her walls. they make her smile every time she sees them.

Cirrus

I think cirrus does photograph. She enjoys more dark and macabre themes so she often goes to the gave yards to take pictures. Cirrus joins Swiss on his explorations to capture the dark beauty of abandoned places. On the rare occasion she will photograph people but cirrus prefers taking pictures of places rather than people. One of her favorite things to photograph is the stained glass windows all over the ministry. Gets up before sunrise to get the best photos of the morning light shining through the glass.

After having to remix the pink, breaking the handle off the mug, and then remaking it from scratch…my Alastor mug is finally complete! Fun Fact; a small yeti lid will fit almost perfectly in the top of the mug which was 100% unintentional.

This mug is 100% for personal use! Not that I would sell these out of caution for copyright, the pink engobe I mixed for the body of the cup is a one time colour. I mixed it on vibes and didn’t measure what colours I mixed to get this shade so I don’t think I could remix it perfectly once I’m out of it 😅

Francesca is an airhead. She's vain, self-obsessed, and conceited. She's the kind of person who truly does believe that everyone in the room is looking, talking, and thinking about her at all times. Then again, why wouldn't they- she's Francesca after all. She truly believes that the sun revolves around her and suffers heavily from Main Character Syndrome. She can't stand having others in the spotlight as opposed to her and focuses her attention and energy in maintaining her spotlight through building her "brand" across social media platforms. After all, she is an influencer and influences must influence!

Despite this, Francesca is actually quite intelligent believe it or not, when her mind is not occupied with getting the latest athleisure wear and yeti tumbler drops, she actually does have moments of insights that tend to baffle the people around her. A fairly good judge of character, she knows how to read people and, of course, manupilate them to further her agendas.

Although it doesn't seem like it, Francesca does have a strong sense of morality and justice and isn't afraid to speak her mind and stand up for those who can't. That's why she's an X-Men, duh.

Alex really was Francesca's longest and most significant relationship. She'd always had a crush on Alex. But prior to Rosaria's disappearance, she'd never seriously considered Alex at all because it was obvious to anyone with eyes that they were seriously dating. But after moving to Canada, Francesca started getting closer to Alex. It started out with Alex overhearing a call with her mom and remarking that Francesca's mother reminded him of his own in terms of temperament. They eventually got closer and started dating. But even when they were dating, there always was a distance with Alex - she could never get close enough to him. And it really didn't help that everyone around them knew Rosaria and knew that if she were to be here, Alex would still be with her without a question.

Rosaria Huntington

Francesca always hated Rosaria - she was everything Francesca was not. Her parents were rich and always showered Rosaria and her friends (Francesca included) with lavish gifts and presents that Francesca would have never dreamed of. And everyone seemed to like Rosaria too. She was naturally charismatic, and like Francesca, Rosaria too was a telepath - only significantly stronger. The worst part was that she genuinely was nice to everyone, including Francesca.

After the invasion and Rosaria's disappearance, things seemed to get worse - people either treated her as a diety and grieved her loss or villified her and blamed her for the invasion. The worst was that even though she was gone, everyone was still constantly talking about her. Francesca always felt that with time, things would change. And for most people, it did. But that did not include Alex . His obsessed with finding her soon transformed into years of deep-seated grief, resentment, and anger.

Francesca always knew that Alex loved Rosaria. But she had hoped that he'd get over her one day, too. Even though she wasn't physically present and was possibly dead, Francesca always felt as if she was an outsider - that Alex was in a relationship with Rosaria and Francesca was the one looking in. And that just makes Francesca resent Rosaria even more. Normally, girls would have to compete with ex-girlfriends or ex-wives. Francesca, however, was competing with a ghost.

HISTORY

Francesca grew up in Long Island in a large blue-collar Italian-American family. Her father owned a construction company, and her mother was a teacher at a local middle school. Francesca was their only child, and as a result of this, she was the apple of their eye - the child who could do nothing wrong.

Up till the age of 15, she lived in Long Island - she attended school , was a cheerleader, and actively worked towards building up her social media platform among her peers and community. She was known for her practical makeup tips and would go around offering free makeovers to those in need - the less fortune who had unfortunately not been blessed with style, unlike her.

At the age of 15, her telepathy began to manifest - she noticed it first when she seemingly was able to read her teacher and peers' minds during a test and got the highest test scores. Naturally, it made the teachers suspicious who attempted to find evidence of cheating but never could. When they asked her, she quite openly told them that she heard her peers think.

Her guidance counselor recommended Francesca as a candidate to the Xavier Academy - the next day, Francesca was tested, and it was identified that she was a telepath, having the X-Gene mutation present.

Francesca was quite upset to leave her friends and family at first but ultimately recognized that it was the right thing to do. Her true motivations, of course, were quite simple - cute boys.

At first, Francesca hated the Academy - not only did she actually have to study for once, but she also had to do stuff like training, which she hated. On top of that, all the cute boys she expected were either in a relationship or just plain boring.

The good news, though, was that she had the perfect settings to take beautiful pictures and videos for her platforms . Also, mutant teens with cool powers made for great content.

This soon changed with the invasion, of course. Several of her peers were either killed, disappeared , or were captured by the government. And to make matters worse, the Academy was destroyed, half her clothes were ruined, she was missing an entire case of limited edition Yeti tumblers, and she seemingly had to pack whatever she had left and move to rural Canada. Plus she had to sleep on the ground with bugs.

And the worst thing was that she was not allowed internet in the new estate in Canada and constantly had to find work arounds to get access to internet, which Francesca was sure was some sort of violation of a basic human right. But thankfully, Starbucks existed - she could get her Frappuccinos and internet too!

I flip the pages from my book while sipping on my latte which filled my mouth with heat but also made me feel so cozy. My eyes read through every word on the page making it like a movie in my head. I took another sip of my latte and tasted the instant lavender that made me feel right at home and where my all my flowers were.

I felt a buzz from my phone and saw a new email that read,

" JOURN 010 in-person classes start tomorrow @12 - 2pm! "

I smiled and started to wonder how the class will turn out to be.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I groan from my loud alarm instantly making me jolt up in bed. I sat in bed for a few minutes scrolling on my phone looking at Pinterest trying to get some inspiration for my day today.

When I was done looking at my Pinterest feed I got up and started to get ready, dressing in some black jeans, boots, and one of my favorite fuzzy coats that I couldn't get enough of.

I did my usual makeup routine which consisted of blasting music and getting ready while singing.

After putting some setting spray on my face I brushed through my blue-dyed hair and then put on some jewelry that consisted of some rings and my favorite necklace. I peeked at my phone and saw it read ' 11:15 am ', I quickly started to get my bookbag around putting in the essentials which consisted of a pencil case and a notebook. I also brought my drawing notebook that I would bring with me absolutely everywhere. I headed downstairs and poured the already-boiled water into my Yeti cup then placed a Chamollie teabag inside.

I got my keys and drove off to campus blasting some music to get me in the mood. I sang along to the songs that blasted through my speakers until I eventually arrived on campus. Once I arrived at my campus I grabbed my bookbag, Yeti cup, and my drawing notebook. The wind whistled in the air making a chill form down my spine as I held my warm mug closer to me and dug my chin closer into my fuzzy coat.

I skimmed through the hallways looking at every room number until I eventually found mine. After about five minutes of skimming, I found my class and headed inside, nobody appeared in the class. "It's always nice to be early ", I whisper to myself then taking a seat in the middle of the class. I sat my materials out and waited for the remainder of the time doodling in my notebook and sipping my Chamolie tea.

I slightly jump at the sudden sound of the heavy door opening, I look up and see the professor walking in with a folder and some papers. " Good afternoon ", He says and I say it back. Now the class was getting filled with students coming in. I kept on doodling minding my own business in my own world filling the void with my sketches.

" Alright, I think that's about everyone. I'm Professor Smith and this is JOURN 010. Well, let's start with the syllabus quickly here it's pretty straightforward. "

I continued to doodle as the professor talked through the syllabus. "- Great now let's start on our first assignment, shall we? ", my head looked up at the professor now. Everyone's heads turned looking at the door that abruptly opened and revealed a guy who was dressed in all black and that was wearing sunglasses. The professor stopped talking and everyone's eyes were on him.

Damn, he's handsome

He had a smug look on his face and took a seat two seats across from me. My heart started beating now feeling his presence next to me. " And your name is ? ", The professor asks in a snarky way. " Jake. Jake Kiszka, would you like me to spell it out for you? ". There were a couple of oooo's that filled the room and mostly everyone had their mouths opened. "Let's hope you don't give me trouble this semester Kiszka, " The professor says then continues on with his directions on the assignment, it seemed like I was the only one that was pretty much listening everyone was heard talking amongst others. " Chatty class huh? I was gonna give you all the opportunity to pick your own partner for the assignment since you're all adults, butt I suppose I'll have to assign partners this time ", the class groans, I smirk knowing this is gonna make myself look good.

The professor begins to call names for partner pairings as I listened and anxiously waited to see who I was gonna pair up with. "...Destiny and Jake". I look to my side where Jake was seen reading and looking up from his book when he heard his name. He looked at me and I looked away immediately getting butterflies.

The professor talks for the rest of the time about the assignment and sometimes got off track which made the whole class basically almost end up falling asleep.

"-Alright, class is dismissed! Get your partner's contact information and begin on the project asap " The professor finishes pretty straightforwardly. I looked at my side to Jake and saw him packing up his materials. " Any plans today? " He says smirking while putting his computer and book away in his bag. " Uhh not really ", I say being completely honest. " Would you want to go to the library and start on this project? ", " Sure," I say with a smile then swung my backpack strap across my shoulder.

We begin walking together to the library in silence, we walked to the elevator and headed inside in order to get to the first floor where the library was. For the remainder of the ride down I was on my phone avoiding the awkwardness, I could see in the corner of my eye that he was most definitely eyeing me up and down.

DING

The elevator doors opened for us and we both started walking until we reached to the library. We arrived at the library and picked a spot that showed some sun shining on the table. We both sat our stuff down and sat down on the comfortable padded booth table that was provided. I then laid out my materials avoiding eye contact because I was nervous, as he did the same laying out his materials which were very minimum that consisted of just only his computer and a few pencils that were dull to the point of breaking. Once we both laid out our materials we then both stared at each other for what seemed like forever.

It turns to night, fire light Star shines in her eye

' I hope he doesn't give me trouble for this assignment ' I say in my head. " I like your hair.. Destiny right? ", he says smiling and then looking down slightly blushing. I blush and couldn't help but smile, " Thank you, and yes". I then placed my blank notebook in the middle of the table ready to write any brainstorming ideas. I had my pencil ready on the paper writing a few things that came to mind, once I finished writing my few ideas I looked up at Jake who was reading his book not paying attention. I cleared my throat trying to make him look up. He looked up and noticed, " Look, I have no interest in putting down my ideas. I was thinking you just tell me what to wri- ", " Then why you wanted to come to the library together? " I say immediately raising my eyebrow at him. He pauses and looks at me for a few seconds, " Look you have to participate. It's a PARTNER project, if one doesn't comply then we both get a zero " I say as he still looks at me as if he was contemplating. He exhales an " Okay.. I'll do it for you " He says winking at me.

Okay, I'm going to hop in on this because I work in compliance for a drinkware company.

To be sold in retail in the United States*, drinkware must adhere to FDA standards to have non detectable limits of Lead and Cadmium. This means, any part of the piece that a person can reasonably be in contact with must not have detectable limits of Lead or Cadmium.

Lead can be used in the manufacturing process to seal the vacuum between the two layers of stainless steel. All tumblers/bottles that can keep your drinks cold or hot are double wall vacuum sealed. Stanley, Hydroflask, Yeti, Bubba, all of them.

The vacuum seal is then covered. You cannot get to it unless you are actually trying to and know where it is. The seal is Not Inside the bottle/mug, so in the event that somehow the seal is scratched, there's no way it can even get to your drink. The most that will happen is the seal will break and your tumbler won't be as effective in keeping your drink cold/hot.

Unless you are licking every single part of your bottle after practically destroying it, there is no risk of lead contamination.

Your fancy drinkware, while over priced, is perfectly safe. This is one of those articles meant to stir the pot.

If you are nervous, just check to see if the piece has FDA/Prop 65 testing. For our European friends, that's the equivalent of REACH. Another tip is to see if the brand has collabed with any big name brands like Disney, Starbucks, Nike, ect. Despite what you may think, big name brands are incredibly strict when it comes to compliance because one lawsuit could wreck them. Most of these companies demand stricter tests than the FDA.

I would advise against ordering things on those drop ship sites like Temu, only because I don't know much about them and their testing standards. But that $5 Stanley "dupe" at your local Walmart is perfectly safe and if it says 'double wall vacuum sealed' it is just as good as any other brand.

Danny ends up with the most embarrassing puppy crush on Kyle.

It is horribly obvious for everyone except Kyle who thinks he's just doing a great job at mentoring, "he listens really well. Picks everything up so fast. Teaching him is great to be honest"

But he's nice okay!? Kyle is super nice and funny and kind and Danny got him to laugh when he went "Ghost activate!" And transformed the first way and then went "Enchantrix" and put the lantern stuff on. He did poses. Kyle found it hilarious. His laugh was really nice. Give him a break!

And Danny knows and he understands. There is the whole age thing. Kyle is older. So he figures that eventually it'll just go away and maybe they can laugh about it later. "Ahahaha, remember when I was the world's most embarrassing person and I behaved like a lunatic around you? Haha man, what was I thinking! Super glad you’re still willing to be friends though"

He doesn't realise he's fucked until he had a depressed, worn down, falling apart Kyle Rayner that he dragged into his apartment. The poor guy had an absolute awful assignment where peace between three planets fell apart and a lot of lives were lost in the war that followed. His latest comic series got canceled last minute by the publisher and turns out things didn't work out with his girlfriend after all.  

So Danny dropped him on the couch. Wrapped him up in the Yeti fur blanket Frostbite gifted him a while ago. Gave him homemade fudge and a nice mug filled with caramel latte Macchiato with extra choco sprinkles and then fetched the Transformers prime DVD's he got on Kyle's recommendation.

So they could watch it, cause Danny knows Kyle likes Transformers. And that way he'd have at least a somewhat less shitty evening and then Kyle gave him this watery smile later and went "you know, I'm really glad you got chosen to be a green lantern Danny" and Danny just kinda sat there and went, "yeah me too" like a dumbass. 

It's actually not until then, that he knows. 

And after that he figures he just has to suck it up, somehow. Cause as far as Danny knows his friend is very straight. And Kyle still calls him his kohai (and sometimes ruffles his hair, which feels sorta nice. Hal does too, but with him it just makes Danny want to phase him through the nearest solid object and make him stuck for a while) and if that's not a very clear boundary Danny doesn't know what is.

small and fast? it better not be some poor little blob ghost, Danny sort of hopes it’s some manner of ectowasp, at least that could be entertaining to see.

It's then that a small bright green light zips on scene and weaves through crowds in the distance with ease and then speeds up towards the two operatives who do not hesitate to shoot, missing completely like the storm troopers they are.

Whatever it is, it is indeed going very fast but Danny manages to figure out what it looks like and it appears to be a… ring?

“hold it you tiny accessory shaped ecto fiend!”

The ring does a speedy circle around Operative O while K is lining up a shot and ends up blasting the poor guy point blank in his face, “O!”

Danny takes a step forward with an arm outstretched and a “oh damn! Are you alright?” on his lips when the ring takes the chance to slip on his finger. “Daniel Fenton of Earth”

Danny already had a freakout about a ghost jewelry getting on him, his experiences with those so far have been incredibly bad after all, what with the rings and crowns and pendants… now this damn thing is just straight up outing him! 

Thank the ancients the two GIW stooges are too busy with each other right now to pay close attention to what this weird ring is saying.

I'm really curious to know what the mechanism or specific behind all these big artists' merch being ugly as hell and more expensive than they're worth is. Because this is a problem that isn't singular to Taylor. I've seen Harry's fandom complain the exact same thing (and having personally looked at the merch, I agree). These artists have such loyal, dedicated fanbases that I don't doubt they sell out within days (or even hours) of dropping, so I wonder if it's the lack of incentive that has the team being so, quite frankly, lazy? Not blaming this on the fans, of course. I know it can all be boiled down to the capitalistic mindset of using as little resources to maximize profit on something while blatantly ignoring the demand for better quality. But this has been such a long-term issue for not just one, but so many fandoms that I can't help but wonder why it still goes completely unignored. From a fan standpoint, it's quite frustrating to see years and years of merch drops looking like something straight out of Walmart, especially when we know these big guys are more than capable of doing better.

i don't know how merch works, but i do have some insight into ordering swag for the companies i've worked for.

my best guess is that there are only a few companies that create the merch. they own the supply chain, production networks, facilities, etc. and even the designers. they're hired by the celebrity or record label to create certain items, and they work together to figure out what works best for maximum profit for everyone. cameo owns a big % of the celebrity merch market and that's how they describe it on their website.

like anything, they more the celeb is willing to spend on options and quality, the more expensive the merch becomes. and because they rely on another company to make it, their potions are limited.

kinda like how when i organized swag for my last company, i really wanted to get us all fancy yeti mugs, but they were like $20/pp, whereas a cheap mug was $5/pp, so we just got mugs lmao. and there aren't that many swag companies, so i couldn't pick a cheaper option.

but you know who has great merch? kacey musgraves. you can tell she really wants her fans to have great stuff that is unique to her. (part of that is because she partnered with other companies like boy smells.)
