I will give my love an apple without e'er a core, I will give my love a house without e'er a door. I will give my love a palace, wherein they may be And they may unlock it without e'er a key.

My head is the apple without e'er a core. My mind is the house without e'er a door. My heart is the palace, wherein they may be And they may unlock it without e'er a key.

Thinking bout Chip Jrwi
This has spiraled from ramblings to character analysis to whatever it has turned into. I rewatched episodes too JUST to make sure I had the right information and plot points in mind cause I want to make sure I’m not making a fool of myself in front of all of Jrwiblr.. ANYWAYS! This is a lengthy read. Total words being 1318 under the cut. Yeah, I’d say the hyperfixation is hyperfixating for sure. Chip Jrwi you are my blorbo atm and you mean everything to me <3
Do you guys think that before they went to the Black Sea, before they left Canella, before they left the town of Zero that Chip looked at his crew, his friends, and his family and wondered if he should stop? Yeah, he lost his old family years ago, and he wanted to do everything in his power to bring them back, to do something about it that his 9-year-old self couldn’t. But do you ever stop and think that maybe he’s realized that he has a family now, a new one and that he’s afraid to lose it to the Black Sea as well? But they’ve come so far now, they found Drey and Finn, hell Finn had been with them the entire time!! They’ve come so far now, and they’re expecting him to want to keep going, to find Arlin, and maybe even some of the other crew they lost as well. I think about it a lot, maybe too much at this point.
Back in the Feywild when Chip could’ve reached out to anyone, he could’ve talked with Arlin again, but he didn’t. He didn’t because he saw something in his nightmares in Liquidis while being cured of his curse. He saw Arlin, covered and surrounded by this black ichor, and he talked to him again. He saw Arlin, the man who took him in when he had nowhere to go, and he had looked at him with so much rage and hatred.. and he had attacked Chip. This would honestly terrify me if I were in Chip’s place. The person who showed me all the care in the world suddenly turned and attacked me? And saying that this has happened before? In a nightmare situation that felt so real, Chip knew it was real… I’d be terrified to find him if he thinks I’m gonna kill him, he’d be fighting for his life too, I’m sure. The Black Sea has affected Arlin too, I don’t think they’ll be able to convince him that they aren’t going to kill him unless somehow Drey and Finn can get through to him, but it seems highly unlikely.
I think if Chip feels this way at all, maybe not like all I’ve written exactly, I think he feels immensely guilty. He doesn’t want Arlin to be trapped in the hole in the sea, but he’s also immensely terrified as to what he’s going to find once he gets to him. He doesn’t want the person he’s looked up to for so long, the person he’s risked his and his friends' lives for, to hate him. But I also feel that somewhere in his heart (or lack of one), Chip doesn’t blame Arlin for hating him, cause he’s starting to hate himself for getting his new family dragged down into this hole in the sea as well.
Yes, they all chose to come with him to the Black Sea, but if anything happens to them, Chip will forever blame himself for it. Hell, he lost his heart and he has no one other than himself to blame. Jay almost lost her leg (did she? They haven’t made it clear if she did) and I feel that Chip blames himself for that too. Yes, they helped save everyone on the island, but Gods is Chip scared he’s going to lose his family again. Being on this ocean reminds him of when he was just a scared little kid, but now he can do something about it. He’s trying but he’s still so fucking scared.
Speaking of his heart- he’s trying to hold onto himself. He’s an undead now, and by meta the mechanics of it are roughhhhh. I rambled a bit on another post about one of my characters named Amani, an opal Tiefling whom Chip is starting to remind me of- not exactly but they both have had their hearts taken!! Doing the checks to see if he loses a part of himself terrifies me each and every time and I know there’s going to be more, we can only hope the dice are in Bizly’s favor as we do not know when Chip will be able to get his heart back. It could be months from now, years maybe. I dread the session they head back to Zero and Chip is still undead. I dread Chip reuniting with Ollie. I don’t think Chip wants Ollie to see him that way, he can hide it with the bandana as much as he wants, but the stench of rotten flesh will give it away. Ollie told him to come back alive! Chip wasn’t able to keep that promise. It kills me to think that Chip dies at 19. Yeah he wasn’t a kid, but he was still so young- yeah he might come back once getting his heart but how much of his humanity will he have lost? How much life experience would he have gained in this undead state? He hasn’t even had the time to grieve the loss of himself with everything that's been going on, and I am really hoping with the next episode of Riptide we get to see some of his thoughts on being undead. Yes, he’s made jokes about it! But I feel he still hasn’t fully processed it all and once he finally does it's going to be PAINFUL.
He’s grown so much from this journey with Jay and Gillion, he was using them at the start, to get back his family. I mean I could be wrong here, but it certainly feels like it at the start of everything anyway. Along the way though, he started opening up a bit and he realized that while sailing and learning about the whereabouts of his family he’s lost, he’s made a new family. And it’s become precious to him. It shows how he has grown during the fights he had with Gillion, the first fight they had dealing with Chip lying and pranking him, wounding Gill’s pride. They resolved it after communicating and getting to know each other better. The second fight was initiated by Chip himself because he knew he was in the wrong and that he had hurt his friend by keeping the fact that Edyn was working with the Navy a secret. He remembered how much lying had hurt Gill, and as much as he didn’t want to tell him at the time, he wanted to protect Gillion from the truth of his sister potentially doing something dangerous behind his and his friends' backs. There hadn’t been much time in between Gillion escaping the pearl and the time that he found out about Edyn, and Chip had tried not to think about it but those damned bracelets (WHICH I WISH THEY WOULD USE MORE?? WHERE DID THEY GO-) outed him on those thoughts. He stayed up ALL NIGHT just to build the arena, just to show Gillion he was sorry and that he needed to fix it, he wanted to fix things between them both. He goes on and on about how Gillion’s actions helped him change for the better, about how he cares about him, and that he never meant to hurt him. Of course, this ends in them battling again, them starting the fight and Jay ending it like the girlboss she is, but this battle was never out of malice or anger, it is light-hearted and fun, and it shows that they’ve all grown stronger together.
I love Chip Jrwi, I am so happy that he got a second third chance at a family- He deserves it and the world. I totally will be coming back to this at some point but this is all I have to say for now! Feel free to reply/reblog to this with ur thoughts, or even send me an ask bout it cause I would love to continue talking about this boy!

Chapter 10 Characters: Natsu Obinata, Fuyu'li cen Zwhan, Claudien, Jannie Eyradoux, Urianger Augrulet, Thancred Waters, Patient Heaven, Keith Summers, Carter Summers, @mintibunny 's Minti Chocolate Rating: T for Teen Notes: Thank you @driftward for the mechanics pass and @mintibunny for blorbo sharing
Tumblr media
Natsu clung to Fuyu'li as they hit a sharp turn. Within a bell of Claudien's announcement, they'd awayed to Gridania and boarded a small railcar near Baelsar’s Wall. Claudien seemed to have made a device to track auracite, and with Fuyu'li's help they'd found the strongest signals east along Abalathia’s Spine. As promised, the Summers brothers and Minti had been called to meet them. Once assembled, the auracite had started to shift west, toward Mor Dohna and passing onwards toward the west before the tracker shorted out from getting too close to Silvetear Lake.
“These parts of the railway are old, there's no way for her to escape us now beyond leaving the tracks. When she turns around at the ruined station in Carteneau, she'll be routed back into us,” Fuyu'li explained, holding tightly to a bar as they sped along, jerking at every turn.
“Then we'll see her cornered and take care of this madness before she figures out a way to damn us all,” Thancred growled.
“For your sake, our friends better be there,” Carter gruffed from behind.
Fuyu'li gulped only to have Natsu gently tug on the stringed balls on his coat. “It'll be okay. I don't think she's hurt them,” Natsu assured him.
“How can you be so sure? While we did provide amenities…ignorant of her ultimate plan I cannot be sure what her endgame was. As my master, she said she wished to use their Echo as a means to find a way to his sister. Obviously the veracity of that is now brought to light and with the information she gained from my knowledge of resonance…,” Fuyu’li said before shaking his head, “She's already killed someone too, right?”
Natsu frowned, “Yes…I had nearly forgotten and yet something feels off about that too. I cannot place the feeling though.”
Fuyu'li’s ears flattened, unconvinced by her words. Suddenly the railcar lurched and started to screech as the brakes engaged. He held Natsu tighter as she covered her horns and winced in pain from the shrill sound of metal against metal.
“We've made it to the train yard…she must be here,” Thancred said, yanking open the door to let them hop out.
The group cautiously advanced forward into the abandoned plaza. It was mostly ruined, trains turned over off their rails, some buried in the station itself. Only one portal remained unblemished and seemed to hold a functioning model.
“On your guard,” Thancred warned, advancing ahead.
“Wait, look,” Fuyu'li said, grabbing the man's shoulder as he pointed out three black chambers with windows on the front.
Each one held one of the missing people inside, breath fogging the glass as a promise of life.  Carter spotting Hayzel quickly advanced forward, pulling his blade from his back before charging to liberate them. A mechanical whir suddenly sounded out, one of the nearby trains charged to life. As a puff of scolding steam blew out toward Carter, he found himself yanked back toward the group and to Minti's side by a dark aura. Carter dropped his sword, cursing as he held his wrist, hand burned from the bit of steam that had hit him.
“Now now. That won't do,” a voice scolded, echoing through the train yard.
Everyone drew their weapons, readying for an attack while Jannie pulled Carter aside to try healing his hand. Stepping forward, Fuyu'li cleared his throat, “Ma’am, your ruse has ended. Return to us the Echo users and perhaps we will be shown leniency in light of our crimes!”
An amused laugh sounded out then stopped abruptly. “Very few of us here have made it to us without having done something awful on the way. Thancred Waters who let himself be taken over by an Ascian and unwittingly aided Gaius van Baelsar then caused such devastation to Northern Thanalan that it might never be repaired. Urianger Augurelt, ever duplicitous, though so far always for the greater good. You Fuyu'li cen Zhwan, how many people were tested to their mortal limits because of the research you helped procure for the sake of the empire? A Warrior of Light who has struck down so many lives. Two sons of Gyr Abanian nobility who slept in warm beds and had their pockets lined with gold while their countrymen fought and died in their place. And I'm sure the hands of two pawns of Gage Acquisitions haven't been left unstained by that organization. No one here is without sin!”
“Fuck you,” Carter roared, pulling away from Jannie only to be knocked back by his big brother.
“Whatever we've done…we will one day answer to the Traders for. I might not understand a lot of what you're doing here, but I know at the end of it you won't be no god. You've got no right trying to bring everyone down to justify what you've done,” Keith huffed out.
Soon he froze, G'raha dropping down into the middle of the yard. Standing upright, the Miqo'te held a knife to his own throat, looking as if he was in tears. “Please! Just drop your weapons and go or she'll make me move my arm!”
Keith took a step back, loosing his plated knuckles. And yet he wasn't alone, everyone besides Natsu and Thancred abandoning their weapons in shock. “I'm wise to your tricks! You're not Ryne! There's no possible way,” Thancred shouted before finding Natsu launching forward past him. “Seven Hells Natsu! Don't engage her!
“I’m the only one who can see her as she is,” Natsu called back as everyone scrambled for their weapons.
Patient raised a brow as the rapier met her knife, then frowned as she used her strength to push her back. “You poor thing. You see me as I am? Have you truly never felt love in your heart for anyone?”
Natsu swiped at the woman with her rapier, only having each blow blocked, “I don’t see what that has to do with anything! And you! What would your sons say if they could see you now? Didn’t you love them? Is this what they would want? Hurting people? And for what?”
Patient glowered then pushed Natsu away as the rest advanced toward her. “This,” was all Natsu heard before being blinded by a bright red light.

Tell me about your OCs, Sav
Tumblr media
And I mean all of them. Or else.
13, 28, 31, A, H
AAAAAH okay i'm gonna go slightly out of order to introduce whoever is reading this to my personal brain blorbos. Fair warning all of these are TTRPG characters, mostly my NPCs save for the first two!
A. Why are you excited about this character?
Fanny Paine - ohhhh my beloved Trigun cowgirl OC. I'm so excited to see how her backstory kicks her in the ass (and by backstory, I DO mean her childhood best friend-turned-EOM member Nova).
Sylvie - my tiefling phantom rogue!! She was a joy to play and an absolute bullet in combat. Lethal and impossible to hit. She also was part of the conflict, being a double agent for the big bad's Vecna cult. I spent so much time texting the DM in secret during our sessions as if the BBEG and Sylvie were sending letters back and forth, telling him our whereabouts, before he'd drop in some cult mooks and we'd knock 'em dead. So fun.
Brie - Shadow Sorcerer and Secret goddess of fire! She's from my first campaign but still relevant because I have two groups playing in that world. In one group we have a ranger who denounced his cult to the fire god, so it'll be really fun to reveal that his god is actually the half-elf barmaid they keep seeing in every tavern, and she's way more chill than he thought.
Iris and Humboldt - ah yes. My older (late 50s) human wizard/leader of the largest adventuring guild in my dnd world and her autistic gnome husband who.... looks like Jack Black in Jumanji and accidentally brought on the apocalypse in our first campaign. They're my light academia escapism blorbos now and all they do is sit around and study magic in the coolest city in my world.
Ron - New NPC the party adopted, and he's an amnesiac, kinda undead paladin with spore druid flavoring. The party recently discovered he's.... well, he's Oberon. Not sure how he got here, but the Warlock's patron is Titania. Of the summer court. Yeah, that one. One of the party's quests right now is to retrieve Ron's memories and return him to Titania, and maybe the warlock will get *her* husband back from the Feywild. However, some mysterious figures want Ron dead....
Oh fuck I could also talk about Keats, Tarovir, Vaemyx... AAH too many. But I'm gonna stick to these big ones, plus Tarovir and Vaemyx have massive spoilers for my players D:
H. What trait do you admire most?
Fanny - girl's got gut. She really is "shoot first, ask questions later."
Sylvie - Resilience? She almost died, admitted she had been a spy, and almost got killed by the party all in one day. And then her best friend, the only one who trusted her, died. Thank god she ended up happy.
Brie - she loves her friends and loves to have fun. She's chaotic good in the funniest ways. When I play her I just get to be stupid.
Iris and Humboldt - THEY LOVE EACH OTHER. SO MUCH. SAVED EACH OTHER BACK TO BACK WHEN THE ALMOST DOOMED THE WORLD. Seriously, I rolled Iris' portent rolls and got an 18 and a 20 the day they summoned the BBEG. If it wasn't for that, Humboldt would have failed his death saves.
Ron - man look, he's just taking it day by day. He's very tired. But at least he has a lot of patience.
13. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?
Fanny - she wears mostly browns but has a blue undershirt. She looks best in blue!
Sylvie - blue and silver coded. Looks best in black and dark blues.
Brie - wears cream and blues, would look great in green!
Iris and Humboldt - blues/silvers and browns respectively
Ron - this man is covered in dirt. Like he deserves.
28. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?
Yes - Sylvie, Iris
No - Fanny, Brie, Humboldt, Ron (he can't lie, doesn't like lies - he's Fey after all)
31. Who are they the most glad to have met?
Fanny - Charlie, her new friend who is an EOM reject. Fanny is a very protective momma bird.
Sylvie - her best friend, the elven druid Eldrid.... who died. It was really fucking sad, I miss that PC. They were in so many cahoots together.
Brie - the first party I ever DM'd, who adopted her <3
Iris and Humboldt - I could say each other, but really the party was the only reason they got together - they set them up on their first date!
Ron - He knows, like, 3 people.

This ramble is ultimately gonna be just me turning Taika Waititi over slowly in my hands, but.
I've talked before about unpacking the reasons why I rarely ever go feral for m/m ships in fandom. Like, I ALWAYS enjoy and appreciate a well-written gay ship, of course, be it in canon or fanwork (Good Omens eyy). But as far as deeply connecting to, blorbo-ing, whatever the kids say now, it just...almost never happens.
(also trans men are men, trans women are women, so write that down)
Now for a long time I thought it was just the contrarian nature that was particularly strong in me between my late teens all through my 20s. Like "uuuuugh they're great but y'all are soooooo annoying, etc etc." and even some of ye olde "aren't you guys all women? this is fetishizing gay men blah blah"
Well-intentioned, and widely shared in fandom spaces 10ish years ago, but deeply misguided, wrong 99.9% of the times, and most of us know better now. Especially as we all got older and OH HAY! Lots of those women weren't actually women, gender was being discovered within these characters for them all around!
So with that thinking deconstructed and left behind, I still found myself not fav-ing the boys very often. What was left after my own gender and sexuality work on myself was OH! I just...don't see myself in men! In fact, despite always knowing I was bi, I am waaaaay more sapphic than I ever realized! I want to see women being loved, giving love, loving each other, that's what I go feral over. That's what latches onto my heart and fixates my brain - there's gotta be a woman. Is it 2 women? An OT3? A het-appearing ship? A pile of lesbians? It will be my jam.
All that said, the two m/m gay ships that HAVE made me go feral in recent years? Both birthed by Taika.
Ed/Stede and Nandor/Guillermo. I weep, I claw my face at the softness, the miscommunication, the FEAR of showing softness. And as Kate summed it up once, "Unwashed Hottie/Person Who Brings Outfits".
I am wildly interested in every theory, knowing the above about myself, as to how it is he's the one to get me right in the gut with The Lads. Lots of people talk about his humor being uniquely indigenous, a kind of deeply kind sarcasm. He's a dad of girls. He's messed up some relationships big time. What's in your sauce, sir.

i see you said we could send in Koby thoughts… im so obsessed with Koby it’s not even funny. i have an ocxcanon ship with him that ive made over 100 doodles of in a few months and at least 10 pages of dumb thoughts for
i very much hc him as bisexual , usually in my mind he’s cis but i love transmasc Koby too. he’s perfect every way. but i am very much of the opinion he is very muscular either way and dedicates himself to being in the best shape possible.
my oc is a marine so A LOT of my hcs are revolved around a marine s/o who’s his superior. they’re on garp’s ship together and he gets them to talk. oc is a bookworm and has no social skills but Koby is enamored with their insane amount of knowledge and passion for reading and enables their infodumping 24/7, borrows books and they work out together. they get close over their Marineford trauma and eventually cross the friends to lovers bridge because they spend sm extra time together after and understand exactly what’s going on with the other’s mind.
and even though they wouldn’t be able to be together often, I think Koby is a very mature and understanding partner who is able to handle long distance and leaves little notes for his s/o to find, calls them at night once his work is over, and always makes sure to hug them whenever they see each other again. he gets little trinkets for them or a small bouquet of flowers if it’s been longer and will spend the entire night with his attention on them.
i think he’s awkward but well meaning early in a relationship!! scared of messing up or worrying he’s not good enough and still being oh so very shy later down the line. kiss him long enough or pepper his face in little smooches and he will be so!! So embarrassed!! but he loves it… he’s less forward physically but loves to talk and just. look at his so and admire how pretty they are. but I think he loves spooning them and kissing the back of their neck, their cheek and their shoulder at night, or their forehead if they’re facing him. he loves it when they lay on his chest and caress his face. he would be insanely flustered but so tickled by them wearing his shirts or jackets, his old bandana too…
he’s super shy but extremely loving and lovable. i am actually in love with him. no man has ever affected me as much as the existence of Koby and rambling here makes me want to post about him and my character again LOL, thank you for enabling my Koby fixation
Of course!!!! Hes just such a good boy!! I love the marine lover ideas too, but im such a sucker for Koby falling for a slightly older or his age pirate!
Hes so salty he fell for a pirate but he can't help but be so smitten with them lol when i can im writing away for the one shot i mentioned, but that idea spawned a larger fic which accidentally became 2.5k of introduction. Which will allow me to now devolve into chapters of doing whatever i please with the man lmao! It was 100% meant to be smut but i might accidentally turn it into a slow burn romance who knows!
The one shot is now going to be an off shot of the main fic, but being an omegaverse au version. Hell it might not even be a one shot but a mini chaptered fic its self! It could very very well end up as 3 parts or longer
Bi Koby is a dream. My ass really wants to drag him into a reader/ace/sabo/koby relationship thats all levels of debauched.
Theres just something about Koby that makes me primally insane.
Like i fucking love ace and Sabo, but they're so dominant and more sure of themselves (yes even ace) than Koby still
Koby really is the type of man i wanna shake around like a chew toy because hes so precious.
Feral cute aggression w the blorbo.
I shall hug him and squeeze him and call him george,
Also put him into sexual situations that render him fucked absolutely stupid because hes so innocent and sweet and i want to deflower the sweet thing

Since I haven't seen anything for Kanao yet...
I would like to request Kanao x demon reader who is really strong, fearsome, and feral most of the time but is actually pretty manageable and tame with her friends but *specially* so when with kanao
At first Kanao was scared of presenting her girlfriend to Shinobu, you know, for obvious reasons, but after Shinobu revealed her own demon gf (Natusmi, my beloved) Kanao got the courage to do the same, so one night she dragged (y/n) to Shinobu and told her something to the effects of "this is (y/n), I found her in the dumpster, she's my girlfriend now :)" meanwhile reader is just standing there kinda confused but trusting Kanao too much to worry about it
An Awkward Introduction
Kanao Tsuyuri x She/ Her Demon Reader (Feat. Shinobu Kochou x OC)
A/N: Here it is! I hope it’s passable. I think I illustrated the point that the demon is strong, but I guess I kinda missed the fearsome part and latched onto feral, and the found in the dumpster part so she’s a little more prone to gremlin behavior, sorry! Thanks for giving me an excuse to write a little more Natsumi though! I miss my blorbo. Word Count: 3,991
“Kanao! Kanao! I got ‘em, see? Are you gonna finish him off now, huh? Huh?!”
Kanao’s face held something between a fond, yet also concerned expression when she finally caught up to (Y/n). Her demon had zoomed off after the other demon she was sent to kill. In the end, their combined presence had scared them off. It wasn’t terribly often for a demon and a slayer to fight together after all. When (Y/n) had took off after them, Kanao had been a little worried, as was common where the impulsive demon she had come to love was concerned. Thankfully, her worry was unneeded.
The evil demon they had been chasing laid sprawled over the ground in a crumpled heap, legs torn off and absentmindedly tossed in different directions. (Y/n) stood over him, blood on her mouth and hands. She bounded excitedly over to Kanao, pointing proudly at what she had done.
“He won’t be able to run for a little while! Now is your chance!”
“Thank you, (Y/n),” Kanao lightly caressed (Y/n)’s cheek as she walked past her, “you did well.”
“Yes!” (Y/n) yelled. She was ecstatic. Every little smile and quiet praise she could pull from Kanao felt like a grand accomplishment.
Kanao beheaded the demon and (Y/n) supplied a round of applause. Then when Kanao sheathed her nichirin sword, (Y/n) popped up beside her once more.
“Where do we go next?” She asked.
“That was my last mission for the night.” Kanao revealed, causing (Y/n) to deflate noticeably.
“You have to go back home then?”
“Yes.” Kanao nodded curtly.
“Okay…” (Y/n) pouted, “Lemme clean up real quick so I can have a hug.”
Kanao watched (Y/n) jog down to the stream to wash the blood from her hands and mouth. She wasn’t excited to be leaving either. She often found herself worrying about what (Y/n) got into while she was at home, she wasn’t exactly careful with herself when Kanao wasn’t around to monitor her.
She had found (Y/n) in a sketchy alleyway in Tokyo. She had been tracking another demon as per Shinobu’s instruction, and followed the signs. The demon had been rendered immobile by (Y/n), causing Kanao to pause at the strange scene. It wasn’t unheard of for demons to turn on each other, but in a large city like Tokyo where humans were bountiful, it was unusual.
(Y/n) had turned to see Kanao and froze. The Tsuguko readied herself for a fight, but she was surprised again when (Y/n) stepped away from the suffering demon and gestured for her to finish him off. Though perplexed by the gesture, she followed through. When she looked up from the crumbling demon’s remains, (Y/n) was gone.
However from that night on, whenever Kanao was sent out on a mission alone, she had a shadow. As time went on, the shadow grew bolder and Kanao grew more familiar with her unexpected assistant.
Before Kanao knew it, she found herself in a relationship she wasn’t sure how she obtained. One day they had just started holding hands, getting each other little gifts and giving little pecks on each other’s cheeks.
(Y/n) came rushing back all squeaky clean and threw herself at Kanao, a happy hum rumbling in her throat when Kanao’s arms encircled her.
It had been becoming harder for Kanao to leave (Y/n) lately, and when Shinobu asked her if anything of note had happened in her missions, her stomach twisted when she danced around mentioning (Y/n). Ever since Tanjirou had told her to follow her heart, she had been wondering if she should intermix these two parts of her life.
She didn’t like hiding things from Shinobu and as previously stated, (Y/n) tended to get into trouble while she was away. It would be nice if she could introduce her love to her family and connect two more pieces of the puzzle that would make her feel whole.
But (Y/n) wasn’t an average civilian, or a slayer. She was a demon. And although Shinobu had made exceptions for Nezuko and then Natsumi, she was worried (Y/n)’s more… unpredictable, yet ultimately harmless behavior would earn her a poisoned blade through the chest if Shinobu felt like anyone’s life was in danger.
It took Shinobu a long time to even allow Natsumi to stay in the mansion, opting instead to lock her in the garden shed for a time. And Shinobu had been the one to find her and allowed her to live in the first place. Kanao still didn’t understand why, and she didn’t think Shinobu really understood her reasoning either.
Shinobu claimed it had been for reasearch purposes, and they still spent a lot of time in the lab trying to figure out the extent of Natsumi’s demon art, but Shinobu hadn’t actively tried to experiment on Natsumi in a long time… so maybe Shinobu could trust in Kanao that (Y/n) wasn’t so bad either.
“Are we going for a world record in hugging?” (Y/n) asked, bringing Kanao back in the moment.
“No, sorry. I’ll see you when I have my next solo mission.”
“Okay. I promise I won’t get into too much trouble while you’re gone.” (Y/n) teased.
Kanao smiled and reluctantly they went their separate ways. However it wouldn’t be an average homecoming for Kanao this time around. She would observe Shinobu, maybe ask the odd question here or there to determine how well received her being in love with a demon would be.
She just hoped that Shinobu wouldn’t think badly of her for her feelings should she choose to reveal them. Hopefully she wouldn’t be putting (Y/n) in danger either if such a discussion were come to pass.
***
Kanao began observing her adoptive sister’s behaviors more closely. Especially where Nezuko and Natsumi were concerned.
Shinobu treated Nezuko well. Gave her head pats when they crossed paths in the halls, let her come in her room to watch her feed Fugu. She even braided her hair from time to time. It was very sweet.
But Nezuko was a special demon who had never eaten a human. Perhaps that was why Shinobu didn’t mind her. (Y/n) hadn’t been so fortunate to have someone help her after the change like Nezuko had Tanjirou. Natsumi hadn’t either, which was why Kanao took extra care observing the interactions between the two.
When it came to Natsumi, Kanao was surprised with her sister’s conduct. She was astounded that she hadn’t noticed the change earlier. Shinobu seemed to light up when Natsumi was with her.
When she heard her speaking to someone around the corner, Kanao would notice how Shinobu would perk up and listen to make sure all was well. She also seemed to have a hard time keeping her hands to herself, always futzing with Natsumi’s clothes or reaching up on her tiptoes to tuck away barely noticeable loose hairs. When they walked together and someone was coming down the opposite side of the hall, Shinobu would tug her closer to her under the guise of making room for the nervous passersby.
Kanao liked Natsumi well enough. A gentle giant, she helped around the mansion and gained favor with the younger girls surprisingly easy. Kanao didn’t want to be presumptuous, but could it be that Shinobu really liked her too? Kanao really wanted to be sure of where Shinobu stood before mentioning (Y/n).
Kanao peeked in on them when Shinobu was supposed to be working with Natsumi’s blood in the lab and found some pretty damning evidence.
Natsumi appeared to have fallen asleep at the table. She still had a hard time recognizing when she needed to replenish her energy. She wasn’t as good a sleeper as Nezuko. She always seemed tense and restless. Presumably because her body had devoured flesh and blood before and would much rather have that than a nap.
Kanao watched from the door as Shinobu took notice of Natsumi’s shivering and tensing body. She felt bad for spying, but what she saw was very reassuring.
Shinobu removed her haori and draped it over (Y/n)’s shoulders. She rubbed gently at her back, murmuring reassurances to the sleeping demon. It took a minute, but Natsumi relaxed under Shinobu’s hands and the Hashira’s lips curled into a small, genuine smile that not even most humans got to witness. Her gaze was brimming with a level of warmth and kindness that Kanao wouldn’t have thought Shinobu was capable of directing at a demon.
That would have been enough for Kanao, but then Shinobu’s expression became a bit hesitant. She leaned down and whispered something Kanao could not hear. She pressed a soft kiss against Natsumi’s temple, prompting a quiet gasp from Kanao, which coming from her might as well have been a low breeze.
But Shinobu had heard her nonetheless and jerked her head up towards the half opened door and Kanao noticed a flicker of fear in Shinobu’s eyes that she was sure was reflected in her own expression as well for being caught.
Kanao looked down at her feet, a sense of shame rolling in over her. She did not try to leave when Shinobu began to walk over to her.
“Kanao,” Shinobu greeted, a hardly noticeable tremor in her voice, “do you need something?”
No going back now. Kanao had violated Shinobu’s privacy, she at least deserved to know why.
“Can I talk to you about something important?” She asked, wringing her sweating hands nervously.
Shinobu’s expression softened, though she still looked on edge. “Always.”
They stepped out onto the engawa from the lab side and sat together, legs dangling over the edge. Alone in the chilly, evening air, Kanao apologized for spying on Shinobu and let her know how much she valued her opinion of her, and how much her support meant to her. The words didn’t always come out right, still so unused to expressing herself, but Shinobu understood.
“Kanao, what has you all out of sorts?” Shinobu asked. There had been a lot of build-up, but Kanao was having difficulty telling her the issue at hand. It concerned her. She had never seen Kanao look like this before.
“I…” Kanao took a deep breath, sweeping her hands over her skirt in an attempt to dry them, “I am… dating someone!”
Not just someone, a demon! Kanao mentally berated herself. In the end, she was still too afraid to tell Shinobu that key distinction after all she had just seen?!
“Dating someone?” Shinobu blinked. She was genuinely surprised. “Since when?”
“Maybe almost two months now?”
“That long and you haven’t introduced them? Kanao, I don’t know what to say.”
“I’m sorry…”
“You needn’t apologize.” Shinobu patted Kanao’s knee, “I’m sorry that I somehow made you feel like you couldn’t tell me sooner. I want you to know that I would never want you to feel like you have to hide anything from me. I just want you to be happy.”
“Neesan…” Kanao’s heart soared. Of course Shinobu would want her to be happy!
“But I must meet them soon. I need to see if they are treating you right. As much as I want you to be happy, if they mistreat you in any way, then I must teach them a lesson and forbid them from seeing you again.” Shinobu added, causing Kanao’s heart to metaphorically splat against the ground.
(Y/n) had never mistreated her, Kanao didn’t think she was capable with how gently she treated her. How willing she was to protect her from harm. Still, Kanao was so scared, so out of her depth! Shinobu would eat (Y/n) alive! Human or demon, it wouldn’t matter, but the unfamiliar demon factor certainly wouldn’t help!
Kanao’s fingers twitched, she was suddenly very aware of the weight of her coin in the pocket of her skirt. No! She curled her fingers into a fist. She needed to come completely clean now! No coin!
“I’ll bring her tomorrow night.”
No! No! Why did she say that?!
“I look forward to it.” Shinobu smiled, and gave Kanao’s ponytail a couple playful tugs before standing again and making her way back into the lab. Before she could go completely in, she paused with her hand on the door and turned back to Kanao.
“I trust that you will keep what you saw earlier to yourself. And please don’t get the wrong idea. I was simply trying to calm her is all.”
Kanao wasn’t sure what the wrong or right idea about what she saw was. Why would Shinobu do all of that for Natsumi if she didn’t like her? It wasn’t like Shinobu went around giving kisses to patients to make them feel better either. Kanao had already invaded Shinobu’s privacy enough for one day though, so she nodded.
“Come inside now, it’s cold.” Shinobu said while she walked inside, motioning Kanao to come along.
***
Kanao had been unable to sleep that night. It was bad enough that she had chickened out on telling Shinobu about (Y/n) being a demon, but she only gave herself a day to come up with a strategy going forward.
Kanao went out early to train and decide how to break the news to Shinobu, but by the time she was back inside the mansion with the idea to reschedule, she couldn’t bring herself to take a rain check when she saw everyone already preparing for (Y/n)’s arrival. Shinobu sure didn’t waste any time spreading the word…
“Kanao-san, there you are.”
Kanao turned to find Natsumi jogging up to her and she felt her face heat up a smidge. The image of Shinobu so sweetly kissing Natsumi’s head while she slept was still fresh in her mind. She wondered how Natsumi would feel if she knew.
“Kochou-san was wondering when you would be picking up your special someone~“ she teased half-heartedly, then sighed, “Sorry, she told me to say it like that.”
“I’m going to retrieve her now I think. She lives rather far away.”
“Okay, I’ll let her know. Safe travels… wait, are you feeling okay?” Natsumi asked, voice laced with concern, “You seem to have gotten paler.”
Kanao shook her head. She briefly thought about telling Natsumi her dilemma, but she didn’t want to burden her with that information while everyone else would be blissfully unaware until they came back. If Shinobu found out that Kanao had told Natsumi, but not her, especially after the heartfelt talk they had yesterday, she was sure it wouldn’t be a great time for anyone involved.
Nope. Best to just continue to suffer in the hole she had made for herself and let everyone be surprised together.
“I’m fine. I’ll return sometime after the sun sets.”
“Okay then, if you’re sure you’re fine. We’ll have everything ready when you get back. Try not to worry too much. I’m sure it’ll all work out.” Natsumi said reassuringly.
If only she knew.
Kanao thanked her and went on her way to the city to collect her girlfriend. The hard part would be finding where she had decided to hang around this time. She was a bit of a nomad. More often than not it was (Y/n) who would find Kanao first. It was like she had a sixth sense for knowing when Kanao was looking for her and this evening was no different.
“Kanao!”
Kanao had been passing by another alleyway, but she paused and looked up, finding (Y/n) climbing down one of the building’s outer walls in a way reminiscent of a spider. She dropped before Kanao and gave her an excited hug.
“I didn’t have to wait for you very long at all! What’s the mission?”
“I’m taking you home to meet my family.” Kanao answered as if in a ghostly trance. She couldn’t believe she was doing this.
“I’ll protect you, don’t worry.”
(Y/n) was a little confused about why she would need to be protected from Kanao’s family, but she was excited to meet them! She took Kanao’s hand and tugged her away from the alley.
“Let’s go then! Let’s go, let’s go!”
“(Y/n),” Kanao stopped her from going too far, “I’m glad you are excited, but you need to be on your best behavior.”
“I promise I’ll be good!” (Y/n) said with conviction, “See?” She put on her ‘best behavior’ face.
Kanao managed a weak smile and then they were off again.
“Woah, so big.” (Y/n) marveled as they approached the mansion.
“Mhm.” Kanao squeaked. She saw the doors ahead were being pulled open, bathing the ground in the light from inside.
Shinobu stepped out while the rest of the group observed from the doorway, waving at Kanao and (Y/n) from a distance while whispering excitedly to each other.
Kanao held (Y/n)’s hand tighter and that was the last conscious thought she had before her body began moving on autopilot towards Shinobu.
“This is (Y/n), I found her in a dumpster. She’s my girlfriend now.” Kanao spoke in a monotonous exhale of air.
Shinobu, who had noticed fairly quickly that (Y/n) was a demon, was so caught off guard by the strange declaration that she didn’t know what to say.
“Hey!” (Y/n) pouted indignantly, “Don’t tell her that! I wasn’t in the dumpster, I was sleeping next to it, huge difference! And that wasn’t even the first time we met! Found me in a dumpster… are you trying to make me look bad?”
Kanao and Shinobu were too busy sharing a whole conversation through prolonged eye-contact to listen.
(Y/n) didn’t let that bother her too much. She was content to just stand there and wait for some kind of response, but then she became more interested in the other demon she saw lingering in the doorway with a small group of human girls.
“Who are you?” She growled, pointing an accusatory finger at Natsumi.
“M-me?” Natsumi pointed to herself after watching the girls on either side of her move aside to give a wide berth for whatever was about to happen.
“A demon, Kanao! In your house! Let’s get her!” (Y/n) sprinted forward.
“WAH!” Natsumi shrieked, trying to brace herself for impact, “I’m not a fighter, I’m not a fighter!”
“Hm?”
(Y/n) felt Kanao’s hands encase her wrist and tugging her back, so she quickly stopped and turned to face her with a confused tilt of her head. When she looked back, she was surprised to see that Shinobu was gone. When she turned back around to look at the other demon, she found the Hashira standing between them, facing (Y/n) with a hand on the hilt of her sword.
“Ohhh, I see. She’s a traitor like me. Why didn’t you just say so?” (Y/n) asked.
“You didn’t exactly give me any time to defend myself!” Natsumi accused, peeking out from her crouched position behind Shinobu.
“Whoops!” (Y/n) laughed and shrugged her shoulders.
Kanao was still trying to remember how to breathe. (Y/n) had know idea just how lucky she was that Shinobu chose the position she did. Had she chosen to go on the offensive instead of defensive, it would not have been pretty.
“Alright then, we have a lot more to talk about it would seem.” Shinobu eyes scanned over Kanao before resting upon (Y/n), “We can all be civil over dinner, correct?”
“So civil!” (Y/n) agreed, pulling Kanao up to the engawa and bowed in front of Shinobu respectfully. “Nice to meet you!”
“It is nice to meet the person who has won over Kanao’s heart.” Shinobu stated diplomatically, “Please refrain from moving with the intention of harm while you are here. Everyone inside, human or demon, are here with my blessing.” It took a lot of self control on Shinobu’s part to keep her cool.
She really would have appreciated a little more information from Kanao, but she was also painfully aware of why Kanao would have difficulty telling her in the first place. She would endeavor to show Kanao that she trusted her judgment, but if (Y/n) tried lunging at someone like that again, Shinobu wasn’t sure if she could stop herself from using lethal force. That would absolutely be worse case scenario.
“Don’t worry, I understand now. I’m sure we’ll all be great friends!” (Y/n) pulled Kanao along and came to a stop in front of Natsumi who eyed her warily. “Sorry for going at you with the intent of ripping off your legs!”
“No problem…” Natsumi put on a nervous smile.
The group made their way back to where they had set up dinner. Shinobu apologized for the food not being particularly demon friendly. And Kanao ducked her head down to avoid Shinobu’s glance. (Y/n) assured her that it was fine, that she was happy just to be included. The atmosphere was still tense, but (Y/n) seemed very determined to get along with everyone.
She introduced herself to all of the girls and drummed up a a variety of conversations. Her vitality and vibrancy helped ease the tension and by the time everything had been cleaned up, she was delighting the youngest girls and getting a few laughs out of them. Even Shinobu cracked a smile at one of the stories (Y/n) told about her misadventures with Kanao.
When she learned that she would be spending the night she was even more excited, but Shinobu made it very clear that (Y/n) would be staying with Natsumi, which lead to Natsumi giving her a look of betrayal.
“More likely than not, you two will be up all night. You can keep each other company and talk about whatever demons talk about.” Shinobu spoke dismissively.
“That sounds like fun! I’m usually helping Kanao kill demons so I don’t have the opportunity to talk to them a lot.”
“Can we walk in the garden first?” Kanao asked, not ready to part for the night quite yet.
“Half an hour.” Shinobu allowed. “Natsumi, make sure they stick to it.”
“Why is that my job?”
“Because I said so~” Shinobu poked her in the ribs before wishing them all good night and retiring to her room.
“See you in half an hour then I guess.” Natsumi sighed, “Have a nice walk.”
“Thank you, we won’t be late.” Kanao promised. She would be sure to do as she was told. If Natsumi had to trouble Shinobu further for a missed curfew, Kanao would surely run out of the sisterly goodwill Shinobu had supplied her with thus far.
She took (Y/n) by the hand and led her outside. The garden was softly lit from the lights within the mansion shining through the windows.
“It’s nice here. Quieter than the city. Your family is really sweet too. I’m glad you brought me here.” (Y/n) told her, gently poking each closed flower blossom they passed.
“I’m glad.”
And Kanao really was. She had been worried that (Y/n) would be afraid of coming home with her on such short notice. (Y/n)’s easy-going temperament really helped make it easier on everyone.
After they were a ways in, Kanao laid on the ground, tugging (Y/n) down with her to lay on their backs. Having (Y/n) with her really helped Kanao relax from the stree she had been feeling. She always seemed to have that affect on her. They gazed up at the stars, enjoying the quiet moment to themselves until their time was nearly up.
Before they made it back inside, (Y/n) kissed Kanao quickly on her cheek, then took off running down the hall, looking over her shoulder to see if Kanao would give chase and laughing delightedly when she saw that she was.
Kanao was very familiar with this game of tag, it didn’t take her long to catch up and return the favor, hoping she conveyed her gratitude through the gesture.
“Good night.” Kanao murmured sweetly, peeking out of the doorway to her room.
“Good night, see you tomorrow. Sleep well!” (Y/n) grinned. She then loudly opened the door to Natsumi’s room, startling the other demon enough to make her yelp.

I’m reworking my one MoD!Harry AU. Details below the cut.
Who did I draw in the pic?
Regulus (sharp cheekbone, curly hair that changes length)
Sirius (in the jacket with pins hehe)
Lily Luna (red hair)
Teddy (blue hair)
What is the AU now, FF^2?
*inhales deeply*
SO. Everything’s mostly canon (not cursed child compliant tho lmao), and Harry is officially Master of Death since he was the owner of all three hallows at the same time. This means, essentially, that he is now the personification/god of death.
Since Harry is Harry tho, he doesn’t want to live forever alone, and so his friends and family try to help him find a way to get out of it. There isn’t one. So he is, of course, resigned to living forever alone.
Except his friends decide “no, no thanks, we’re not letting you do this alone.” So when Harry dies and ‘ascends,’ his family and friends choose to ascend with him. He’s able to reach already dead souls using the stone, so Sirius also ends up making the choice to ascend too. The rest of the dead are content staying where they are.
(I have,,,, such a long list of who ascends and what they do and blah blah blah, but I’m not gonna get into it because it is….. so much. It’s truly just so much.)
The important thing is that the way this works is that the universe resets itself every so often, slightly different each time. And certain things carry through, like tales turning into mythos. Harry and his immortal (sometimes reincarnating) family, are the focus of several of these myths, including the harbingers of the apocalypse one.
So when his family meddles, it’s usually with those names, rather than their original ones. Which, when they interact with alternate incarnations of people they know, can cause some shenanigans.
What is actually depicted in your doodles?
Regulus,,,, listen he is my current blorbo and I just wanted to draw him, ok? The jegulus fandom got its teeth in me and now I’m thinking about Harry Potter stuff again. (Speaking of which! Fuck JKR.)
In this AU, he doesn’t ascend with everyone else, but instead ascends later during a whole thing that I will maybe actually write into a fic. Maybe.
Top left is just the first full body Regulus design I did. Dipping my toes in, you could say. Key things; he’s younger in this. Pre-ascension. He’s wearing slytherin’s locket for plot reasons.
Top middle is the Black brothers with their animagus forms behind them. And yes I made regulus’ a lion. Tbh I think he deserves it. He’s dangerous, lazy, proud, sneaky, and at the end he was really, really brave. I know lots of people make him a house cat, but like. If Sirius can have his star’s namesake as an animagus form, so can regulus.
Below that, we have Regulus saying “Potter?” While looking shocked. I won’t elaborate too much on this for plot reasons (in case I write the fic), BUT, this is the moment that he learns that Lily Luna is a Potter.
To the right of that is the brother hanging out and being cute and I love them. I just want them to reconcile and talk and be family again 😭. Also I want Sirius to have 100 little gay pins for his leather jacket. He deserves it.
Bottom left is Lily Luna and Regulus together. I this AU on particular, Regulus has a mentor/mentee and uncle adjacent relationship with her. They are cute, and I love them, and I won’t hear otherwise, sorry not sorry.
Bottom right is the only doodle I will give spoilers for. It’s post-ascension, where Regulus, Sirius, LilyLuna, and Teddy are all about to wreck some shit. The rest of the family jokingly calls them the “Grim Squad”, because all of them go out and hunt down wayward or death cheating souls. So if you see them, you’re their target, and will die. Just like the Grim thing.
Last words
This is a self indulgent au, and idk if I’ll write it, but maybe I’ll elaborate on it more here if anyone is actually interested. Either way, I’m just happy I had the motivation to draw this 😌

Happy Blorbo Blursday!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I've been catching up on some of your posts, and you mentioned that Darmon eventually gets a love interest, one of the POV characters that he frees from prison. Can we hear more about that? :3c What are their first impressions of each other? What are their interactions like?
Happy Blorbo Blursday sweetest!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Of course you can!!! (ngl I'm unspeakably happy you guys love Darmon and his romance)
His love interest is Syonehlia Dione who I originally planned to be another POV character's (Avelyn Dione, Cronyl's love interest) twin, but as I go with the story and everything she gives off a big sis vibe, so I think I'll stick to simple siblings. ANYWAY, she's the daughter of a noble house that has a very good and close relationship with the royal family, since her father is the Highscribe of the Palace. Her parents want her to marry well, since Avelyn joined the pristesses and can't get married, which means they get very happy, when the prince proposes Syon. Now, Syonehlia is a very powerful personality, who might act as the perfect noble woman, but very much want to learn fighting, staying free from the responsibility of leading people and not necessarily becoming a bodygruard, but she wouldn't turn down an offer from The Ivory Guard to join them. She also turned down some suitor already and to the rest she made it clear that if they try something similar, she will not be kind anymore. So man either see her as a competition or just too intimidating/demanding to get close to and she's very much okay with that. Except the prince of course, because he sees her as a challenge and since she can't really say no to him because of their statuses and the houses' relationships, he makes a move. (yes the prince won't be a likable character hehe)
However, Syon won't let herself forced into anything, so she uses a cultural tradition to get away. Big spoiler, but that cultural tradition is a trap that Darmon and Troghrun figured out and get spread among the driadlin long ago to get people come to them voluntarily. That's how he captures Syon and a bunch of other driadlin.
Syon's first impression is pretty much that Darmon can go to hell with his psychopathic ideals. She is the kind of person who will harshly, but calmly tell the other one her opinion, especially if it's about immorality. She's fierce, but in a way that she still seems put together or unshakable (which may or may not be the truth). She despises Darmon and his actions, so every time he tries to talk to her and/or the other prisoners, she will just straight out question him. As much as she wants him to die a terrible, cruel death for what he does, some sick part of her wants to understand at least a little bit how can someone do horrible things like that. (Because she also never met a human before, only heared about them in legends, and that her entire culture were built upon a lie because of them actually tickles her curiousity.) While she also wants to get their grand plans out of him, so maybe she can use it to get free.
This honestly amuses Darmon. His first impression is that she's a very selfish one, but also commendably persistent. He've met driadlin like her before, rich lot who think they can outsmart him with their questions and lectures. And yes, maybe Syon seems less frightened and lost than the rest at first, but every similar prisoner like her have broken at the end. Breaking them always leaves a sour taste in his mouth, but sometimes you need to get a little harsher to help someone who’s too lost to know they need help, right? He sees right through her and tells her some truth she probably don’t want to hear. He also pities her a bit. She doesn't know she shouldn't exist, she doesn't belong to this world, that she needs help, so of course she resits. However, he answers her questions about some things. He doesn’t realises it at first, but as soon as she starts to ask about the process of their magic, the system they work in etc. he started to act like she is a person too, not a creature from some alien place. And that’s why she can be one of those who shake him when they first see the product and the process of Troghrun's plans. They also don't get any romantic feelings for a long time, because this is a slooow burn and I also don't want to step into Stockholm Syndrome fields.
Their interactions mostly goes by Darmon being a creepily calm smartass (at the beginning) when it’s about strategic stuff and where they put danger in the world they should avoid, then Syon reminding him, the reason he knows these things isn’t something he can just get rid of so easily.
“You might have helped us, but you haven't changed yet. You only made a less horrible decision than anytime in the last, what? Thousand years? It's a start, but it won't matter if, at the end, you'll still share the idea of being any better than us. Problems are not nesting only in actions. They're born in the mind.”
They basically just help each other see some situation from another perspective. She helps him get his whole mindset change, because she's not sensitive for things like that and (usually) won't get offended by things Darmon might do or say unconsciously, she understands the hardship of the whole thing. While Darmon will help her realise that she was selfish the whole time, when she just ran away from every responsibility, basically left her family to deal with an angry royal family alone, also that even if she wants to avoid being a leader she naturally becomes one around people. And she enjoys it too.
She also comforts Darmon in the most non-gentle way that he appreciates the most, because it's the kind of raw honesty that he wants to recieve.
“Don’t turn down the credit of saving that child. By doing that, you're just making her think she wasn’t worth saving. You saved her, now deal with it.”
“You've handled that "thank you" as a man. Congratulations, Strotagor.”
(Yes, Darmon will have some issues taking compliments and gratitude for what he've done after starting to save people. And Syon won't let it slide, because why would she?) But she also won't always be sarcastic, so the last line as much as it sounds like that, she would say that seriously. And he will be very thankful for it.
OKAY I WROTE ALREADY A LOT OMG AND I STILL HAVE A LOT TO SAY, BUT I'LL STOP HERE FOR NOW LMAOOO
I don't know if I could show what kind of dynamic I imagined for them, but I've tried! Thank you for the ask!!! ❤️❤️❤️ [tagging @bloodlessheirbyjacques because you liked the Darmon contents too ❤️]

11, 22, and 40!
thank youuu <3 this one took a hot minute since you gave me the chance to write about my blorbo (ask game from this post)
11. Have you ever fought a dragon?
YES. final boss fight of my first campaign. absurd 14 hour session, the last like, 4 hours of which? were entirely combat where each of us also puppet-ed an NPC ally. absurd. everyone else was fully checked out by the end except for me and the DM & i was completely hyperfocused on helping with turn order and who had what status effects and who could get to flanking and what everyone's NPCs and characters were able to do. I think we also had an inexperienced guest PC (the dm's then-girlfriend). 12 player turns to deal with every round and I was the only one who really cared about mechanics at that point (reasonably so, it being, like, 10pm by the time we encountered the dragon).
anyway, we killed the dragon. my NPC got the final blow and my actual PC (beloved Tony) was unconscious with a failed death save on the other side of it. so for the HDYWTDT I requested to chop off the dragon's head, causing it to stumble backwards onto my PC's body, taking out the last 2 death saves and fully killing me. I was feral with joy. all the other players were horrified.
we had a cleric. it was fine.
40. What d&d deity would you be a cleric of?
hmmmmm. deities are the least interesting aspects of clerics to me lol, which is part of why i don't really play them. for standard d&d pantheon, probably SelĂťne, goddess of the moon, as a knowledge cleric? beyond that, would have to be someone interested in agency as a core tenet, probably neutral alignment. wildmother vibes. i'm just looking for an excuse to become a hunter of artemis really sdfsdf
22. Write a brief scene centered around one of your characters!
tried to write about anyone other than ithren and it fully didn't work lmao. have a Karaff flashback. spoiler-free for those in game and written in 2nd person bc ithren has no sense of self and couldn't possibly narrate. and trying to write them without being them is impossible.

You set the pencil aside with a satisfying click and nod to yourself; the math is correct. Of course it is. A simple extension of her initial observation – adjusted for the half-second temporal displacement of the missing moon, and compensating for potential interference from the celestial plane, which she couldn’t have anticipated – confirms the trajectory of alignment. Next month.
You ignore the whirring of gears as the spider drops to the desk and collects the pencil. You’ll have no more need of it, anyway. You need the mountains, southwest of here, and that’s all that remains.
Clattering at the door tells you she’s returned. For a moment you are reminded of the here and now – she was… visiting? Someone. The patron, you assume. Good. She is safe. Will be safe, here, of course.
You grab your packs from the side room. They’ve been there for a while. If things were different, you might have forgotten what it felt like to carry the world on your shoulders, this past month of stillness. But things are what they are, and you can’t forget what you’ve never thought to notice. It isn't relevant. You have what you need. You head down the stairs.
In the doorway, she startles, almost, reaches for her– relaxes, seeing you. Your steps must have sounded heavier with the bags. She looks you over and nods, slowly, stepping forward to steady the spider rappelling off your shoulder bag. Not quite touching. “It worked, then?”
You don’t bother to nod; it isn’t needed. She understands.
“I need to find a mountain.”

The Memory of Us
by Ryan Field
1 - The First Time
The first time I ever saw Blorbo was at one of my shows. I was performing at a small gay club in the city and he was in the audience. I remember thinking how hot he was. He had this smoldering look in his eyes that made my heart race.
During my performance, I couldn't help but keep sneaking glances at him. I could tell he was enjoying the show and it made me even more turned on. After my set was over, I went to talk to him. We ended up talking for hours and I soon found out that he was a stripper at a nearby club. We exchanged numbers and agreed to meet up sometime. I couldn't stop thinking about him and I was eager to see him again.
A few days later, we met up and went back to my place. We ended up making love that night and I was hooked. I had never felt that way about anyone before. Blorbo was different than any man I had ever met. He was strong and masculine, yet gentle and loving. I was head over heels in love with him.
Before long, we were inseparable. We spent every waking moment together and our love just kept getting stronger. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. One day, out of the blue, he proposed to me. I said yes without even hesitation. I couldn't imagine my life without him. We were married a few months later in a small ceremony. We didn't have much money, but it didn't matter. We were happy just being together. life was perfect.
But then, one day, everything changed. Blorbo was killed in a car accident. I was devastated. I couldn't imagine life without him. But I had to go on. I had to find a way to live without him.
2- Memories
I was struggling to get through each day without Blorbo. I missed him so much. He was my everything and now he was gone.
I tried to keep busy and distract myself, but it was impossible. I was constantly reminded of him. Everywhere I looked, there was something that reminded me of him. I decided to go back to work, but it was hard. I didn't have the same passion for it anymore. My heart just wasn't in it. But I had to keep going. I had to find a way to make it without him.
One day, I was going through some of our old things. I came across a box of pictures that we had taken together. I sat down and went through them, one by one. As I looked at each picture, I remembered all the good times we had together. I laughed and cried as I went through them. It was then that I realized that even though he was gone, I would always have the memories of our time together. And that was something that could never be taken away from me. I decided to put together a photo album of our pictures. It was a way for me to keep him close to my heart.
Every day, I would look through the album and remember all the happy times we had together. It was a way for me to keep his memory alive. And even though he was gone, I knew that he was still with me in my heart.
3 - Moving On
It's been a few years since Blorbo died. I'm doing better now. I've been able to move on with my life. I still miss him every day, but I know that he would want me to be happy.
I'm married now. I met my husband, Mark, a few years after Blorbo died. He's a good man and I love him. We don't have any kids, but we're happy just the way we are.
I still keep the photo album of Blorbo and me. It's a special way for me to remember the love of my life. Every day, I am grateful for the time I had with him. Even though he's gone, he will always have a place in my heart.
