u know whats funny? my two favorite vic themes to write are
1. the stark and sudden reminder that vic is soft at heart and doesn't seem to fit in the crime life at all. vic being so emotional and loving and victim to many circumstances. when you look at vic and think if things were different , he'd probably just work in a cat rescue or smth.
2. the stark and sudden reminder that actually , vic is very good at what he does. he is skilled , he's trained , he's second in command of the group he works out of. he's the prodigy. vic is completely capable of being scary and strong and sometimes he is.

Tory jdsfdsjflkh I love her See? I mentioned the neck THE PRESCHOOL I was right! POSSIBLE match
Apple XD & alexis <3 Castle don't yell at your daughter MARTHA NOT THE RIGHT THING TO SAY & alexis' shirt martha is sort of right but GIRL SHUP
Wait they said ballistics would take a few hours, why are they still at work? why is CASTLE home? He would be the one to stay as long as possible! why didn't they text the photo last time? JE: Yep. He’s a match for height, age, and placement of creepy neck tattoo.
He really is a charmer except for one thing: why won't you sleep with me? Well you could CALL castle & ask his permission... say "hey I want to sleep with him but I LOVE you & I want your permission, because I respect you & if you say no then I will not" & that might actually be the thing to drive castle to say yes bc she trusts him & loves him & will always come back to him even if she sleeps with this guy. & also castle would be able to say she slept with eric vaughn & still chose me
He dead?
Castle <3 lol she's right KB: Yeah, preferably one without windows that snipers can't shoot through.
KR: Hey Beckett, I hate to do this to you, but I need to take your statement. *taps his notebook* Beckett could have said "actually if he was there I must have been a bit farther back" also it's cool how dever gets to wear his wedding ring (with duplicates of it) on camera bc his character is canonically married. & ryan's wife's actress is married to ryan's actor. Cool af. KR: Right … (he moves to where she gestures) … here. *He looks up and realizes he’s right in BECKETT’S space. He backs up a bit and looks to the hole in the window.* *almost clocks her in the jaw* stumbled you say. ryan taking it down as if he believes her yk rly sus, eats the wrong food, stumbles at the shot, sounds like he knew what was going on. KB: He kissed me castle KR: I'M DONE HERE *leaves*
RC: Well, if he kissed you, why wouldn’t you just push him away? KB: RC: Oh. Which is why he’s not dead.
She's from a farming family? She's a lead researcher. I'm proud of her. Why else would he want toxin? Oh. nvm. rival lab. AFTER the drop? No deposit fee? I would say "one quarter now to know you're good, I give you what you want, the remainder after" or smth.
Going on a tour! WAIT WHAT? HE AUTHORIZED IT? mexicali? she believes him too much girl that's exactly how they make money.
RC: Oh Beckett. That’s what they said about Bernie Madoff. Like Madoff, it’s quite possible Vaughn’s entire empire is a house of cards. If Felder was going to visit MexiSolar he would have found out about the scam. The house of cards would collapse. Eric Vaughn couldn’t have that. And what better way to get away with murder than to make yourself look to be the intended target? Don’t you see? This entire thing is a charade.
RC: Of all the confessions over all the years, this one is going to hold a special place in my heart. the universe demands why not get ryan or esposito?
Right, he doesn't actually look at the things he signs, he doesn't oversee the day-to-day... that's how you become a billionaire. He would NOT have JUST ONE person overseeing, he would delegate. it's like when you're a chef, if you own the place you don't cook. If you are a manager you don't line cook. You delegate to your test kitchen manager, your individual establishment managers, they delegate to their sous chefs & chefs to parties, there is not (usuall) one person who owns the place & then delegates to a single manager, they would delegate to multiple people who are in charge of different things.
RC: Oops yeah digging your own grave b'y
key word: FEEL LIKE you know them right, new york is way closer to the canadian border than mexico. Ooh the music!
Tell him he's on your last supper list. I like his outfit Do you? *tries to catch him in the elevator*
viddy game & a rose. playstation specifically. HE JUST BROKE THE CORD
Just symbolic
Becks, you can ask him again.
Ok I have an extra 12 minutes. Then I have abt half an hour before I need to go to work. Which is stupid. I need to leave for work an hour & a half before my shift!?!? I mean it is a 45 minute bus ride & I need to be there 15m early to change & iron so that's an hour, but my bus either gets there 5 minutes early (or less) or 35 minutes early. So that's another 15min there, & ofc I need to give myself 15m before I leave just in case. That's more like when I stop doing whatever I'm doing & get ready to go. But I might not be able to get it done in 15m so I need to use these 10 extra minutes right now. I need to put on my binder & make sure I have my bus tickets & stuff. Then I can leave. so it's an hour & a half. ew af.
So I might not get started on the next castle, I might instead try to post some of my drafts & clips so I can get space on my phone.
Pray that I get cut early pls.

Yes, I have said it before. But if ED wants to piggyback off Robron with Nicky and Ally. They need to actually show them, the real them, not these little snippets. We need to see them as people, the real people they are under all the buster. I would like to see Ally come into the village and make connections there. Perhaps he can become friends with Vic or Matty? To have him be the best man in the wedding, he's part of the wedding planning, and he meets up with those at Home Farm and Gabby's family.
Hell Ally doesn't even have a last name yet, he's just Nicky's mate Ally.
Guessing that Ally knows some sort of con is going on or there is some reason why Nicky would be involved with Gabby in the first place. But I doubt he knows the whole situation with Caleb on a sort of insane crusade for the father he never knew. And that he's roped Nicky in because Nicky is wanting to help his mom.
I’m gonna go with that Nicky and Ally are long-time friends, that had feelings, that became friends with benefits, but they never had the making it official conversation yet.
But seriously ED, if you are going to have them have big love declarations with romantic lighting in a loved-up moment. There has to be some actual fucking build-up and actually knowing what their relationship was and is. This can be done with conversations, like them talking about how far they have come when they were just friends. Or Nicky talking about the whole Caleb plan and how it kills him hiding his true self. Or just a typical conversation to show how these two are also friends where they talk and are real about their lives. Like something as simple as sharing their days.
I mean take Marshall and Arthur for example, they are friends before they were boyfriends. They talk, they joke, they hang out, and there is a connection there that was built up over time. Not crammed in or done offscreen.
Honestly, I think the reason Caleb has no idea that Nicky has a romantic/sexual interest in men is simply because he’s a bad father and they have an estranged/complicated relationship. I mean I have a crappy relationship with my dad too, so he has no idea that I like women as well as men. I don’t think they're the kind of relationship where they are close and share things. Probably more likely, Caleb just expects Nicky to hop to the second Caleb commands his son to do his bidding.
Like I believe that Nicky and Ally were long-time friends, especially after seeing their most recent scenes. I mean does Caleb even know Ally or that he's Nicky's friend? I mean do Caleb and Ally have a relationship of the typical relationships that a lot of our long-time friends have with our parents? Like they are civil and decent to each other? I don't think Caleb even knows that Nicky is hanging out with Ally, though I think Gabby mentioned it. Probably because Caleb assumed it was another woman that Nicky snuck off with and probably because Caleb is self-centered and doesn't seem to care for his own son that much.
I do think that Nicky and Ally have potential. I mean the only time Nicky seems to genuinely light up is when he's with Ally. I mean the man was practically glowing and not just because of the sun on his back. But if ED wants people thinking of a new queer romance to support and champion they need to stop being weak and actually put in the work first with solid writing and story execution.
I really wish the Nicky and Ally relationship story was better. Sure they’ll never be Robron but they could at least be something more than a cheap knockoff with lackluster writing.
They’re just basically nothing right now but a vague outline of things we’ve already seen. There’s no substance to it.
We know next to nothing about either of them, especially Ally. Who is Nicky outside of this incredibly vague scheme against Kim? What did he do before this? What are his values? What drives him as a character? Who is Ally? Where does he live? What does he do? Does he have family? What drives him as a character? What do either of them like/dislike? Who are these people?!
We don’t even know what the nature of their relationship was prior to Ally showing up. Were they exes? Were they casual? Were they just friends who we’re heading towards something? What? And what is the nature of their relationship now? How do either of them feel about this relationship?
We don’t even know what Nicky’s sexuality is let alone why Caleb doesn’t seem to know or why Nicky wouldn’t let him know.
Right now I’m only mildly interested in this story to be amused by some of the knockoff Robron moments and to hopefully fill in the blanks on all of these questions above rather than actually being invested in these characters.

“Are you ready for this?” Carina hears Andrea ask her.
She makes eye contact with him by looking in the mirror in front of her. She inhales deeply. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more ready for something in my life,” she says.
Andrea smiles, his dimples prominent. “Carina, you look beautiful,” he tells her.
She turns around and faces her little brother. “It’s not too much?” She asks.
Andrea laughs. “It’s your wedding day,” he reminds her. “You could walk down the aisle wearing a flamingo costume if you wanted to.”
Carina joins in on his laughter. “I don’t think Maya would appreciate that,” she says.
Andrea’s laughter dies down. “She’s a lucky woman,” he tells her.
Carina holds back tears because, God, she’s never been more in love with anyone. “I’m lucky,” she breathes out. “The luckiest.”
Andrea pats Carina on the shoulder. “You’re getting married,” he says softly.
Carina nods. “Did you ever think I would?” She asks him.
“Honestly? No,” he says, which gets him a chuckle from his big sister. “But I’m so glad you are. Carina, I’m so glad you’re happy.”
“Ti amo, fratellino,” Carina says, caressing Andrea’s face.
“Ti amo,” Andrea replies.
Just as Carina pulls Andrea in for a hug, he fades away and Carina’s eyes well with tears.
She turns back around and looks at herself in the mirror. She tries to pull it together, but the absence of her little brother haunts her. The pain and the emptiness in her chest torments her.
“Carina, we have an hour until-” Jo says as she walks into Carina’s bridal room. “Hey, are you okay?”
Carina tries to stop the tears, but the overflow of emotions is too much for her. “I miss my little brother,” she tells Jo.
Jo offers Carina a kind hand. “I’m sorry,” she says. “I know how much he’d want to be here.”
Carina breaks down and it’s all she can do to stay upright. “I…I want Maya,” she says.
“Okay, I’ll go get her,” Jo says before quickly leaving the room.
Carina sinks onto the chair by the mirror and rests her head in her hands.
“Va bene, Carina,” she hears Andrea say.
“Baby,” comes Maya’s voice as she walks into the room, “what’s going on?”
Carina looks at Maya, her makeup smeared. “I’m sorry, bambina. I know it’s bad luck for us to see each other in our outfits before the wedding and-”
Maya grabs Carina’s hands. “I don’t care about that,” she says, cutting Carina off. “What I care about is my crying wife.”
Through the tears, Carina smiles. “Soon-to-be,” she says.
Maya smiles and kisses the back of Carina’s hand. “What’s wrong?” She asks.
Carina takes a deep breath. “I miss Andrea,” she tells Maya.
Maya wipes a tear from Carina’s face. “What can I do?” She asks.
Carina shrugs. “I just wish he was here,” she says. “When we were kids, before mamma took him to the U.S., he was so protective of me. It was almost like he was the older sibling, you know?”
Maya nods and tucks a strand of Carina’s hair behind her ear.
“Anyway, whenever I would bring a girl or a boy home, he would have this stern look on his face. And then my heart would get broken, and he’d be there. He’d always tell me, ‘Carina, your broken heart is far from whole, but, one day, someone worthy will come along and put it back together, as if it was never broken in the first place’.” She blows out a breath. “And then he would say, ‘When that day comes, I cannot wait to walk you down the aisle and give you away to the person who will pick up your broken pieces for forever’.”
Maya smiles. “I wish I could’ve gotten to know him better,” she tells Carina.
Carina nods. “You guys would’ve been best friends,” she says. “He loved sports like you. He was caring like you, and he had a great taste in music like you.”
Maya kisses Carina’s forehead. “Are you okay?” She asks.
“Yes,” Carina says. “I just needed a moment to miss him.”
Maya let’s go of Carina’s hands and Carina stands up. “You look beautiful,” she breathes out.
Carina beams. “Go,” she says. “I have to get cleaned up and you,” she grabs Maya’s tie, “need to leave so I can do that.”
Maya smiles. “Of course, my love,” she says.
Carina melts and looks deeply into Maya’s eyes. She’s so happy Maya decided to wear her Class A’s for their wedding because she was definitely more than pulling it off. “See you soon, bella,” she says.
Maya winks at her. “See you, amore.”
Ben walks them both down the aisle and Maya holds back tears the entire time. She spots her mom and offers her a smile. Andy and Vic are stood in their Class A’s at the end of the aisle. Meredith, Jo, and Bailey are stood on the other side of Andy and Vic.
Once they are at the end of the aisle, Maya takes Carina’s hands and gives them a small squeeze.
Ben starts the ceremony once everyone is seated.
Carina sees Andrea standing behind Maya, giving her a thumbs up. There he was, giving her away after all.
“I understand you wrote your own vows,” Ben says.
Maya and Carina both nod.
“Maya, please say your vows,” Ben says.
Andy goes to hand Maya the paper with her vows on it, but Maya shakes her head. “I don’t need it,” she whispers before clearing her throat. “Carina, I stand here today to promise you the very best of me. You are not only the love of my life — you’re my best friend and the greatest part of me. I promise to fight for you when you’re feeling down and that my love for you will never weaken. I will take care of you for the rest of my days and love you for even longer than that.”
“Carina, please say your vows,” Ben says.
Carina didn’t write vows because she knew she’d find the words when she was looking Maya in the eyes. “Maya, I first fell in love with your eyes. It’s the way you look at me, the way you look at your friends, and the way your eyes light up when you’re talking about fighting fires. I found home in your eyes, in your arms, and in your heart. And I promise that you will always have a home in mine. Forever.”
Maya smiles. “Can I kiss her now?” She asks Ben.
Everyone laughs.
“Just one more step,” Ben says. “Maya, do you take Carina to be your lawfully wedded wife for forever?”
“I do,” Maya says.
“Carina, do you take Maya to be your lawfully wedded wife for forever?” Ben asks.
Carina nods. “I do,” she says.
“I now pronounce you wife and wife,” Ben says. He nudges Maya’s shoulder. “Go on, Captain, kiss her.”
Maya kisses Carina with all of her being and Carina reciprocates.
“Spero che ti renda felice per sempre,” Andrea says.
Carina pulls away from their kiss as the audience cheers. She hugs Maya. “Lei lo farà,” she whispers.
Andrea smiles. “Chao, Carina,” he says.
“Ciao, fratellino,” Carina whispers as Andrea fades away.
Maya grabs Carina’s hand as they walk up the aisle.
They are home, forever.
Hi, guys.
I’ve been working on a series that I might upload to Archive of Our Own. It follows the lives of Nicole Haught and Maya Bishop as best friends. Also, Nicole was fostered and adopted by Stef and Lena from The Fosters.
Let me know if that’s something you guys would be interested in.
I do not own any of these characters. They are used strictly for entertainment purposes.
Good day.

You had been imagining the day of your wedding since you were 12 years old, and attended your Aunt Maria’s wedding. It was the first wedding you had ever been too, and it was so much fun. Well, looking back, it was actually a very cheesy and poorly thrown together party in a cheap hotel, but at the time you were amazed.
You have attended quite a few weddings since then, much that were way nicer than Maria’s. Every one you went to, you gathered more and more ideas for what you wanted to do on your own big day (when the time came, of course.) You knew you wanted white roses in the centerpieces, vanilla raspberry cake was a must, and your dream venue was saved a thousand times on your Pinterest boards.
But, nothing ever goes as planned, right? When you started planning your wedding with Spencer, you know you would have to sacrifice a few of your ideas that weren’t exactly plausible. But you never in a million years thought you would be here.
It all started about a week ago, back in the lovely conference room of the BAU. You and Spencer sat next to each other, whispering away about wedding and honeymoon plans, the rest of the team scattering in and preparing to hear about a new case.
“I just don’t know what we’re going to do if my Uncle Mike brings his girlfriend…” you frowned, your stomach doing flips as you stressed more and more about the big day.
“Just have your mom call him and talk to him, he’ll listen to her,” Spencer assured you, squeezing your hand tightly, trying to pull all of your stress away. He hated how much anxiety all of this was bringing you. For him, your wedding was the brightest day of his future, it was all he could think about. And you felt the same, of course, but the planning was exhausting.
“Sorry to bring everyone in again, I know we’ve barely been on the ground a day, but we have a weird one today. Garcia,” Hotch motioned to the tech analyst, who smiled happily as she stood up and began her presentation.
“So, my friends, we are going to Spencer’s favorite place, Las Vegas!” She giggled, trying to bring lightness into a place that had seen so many horrors.
“Oh! I’ll have to call my mom!” Spencer smiled, always excited at any chance to see his mother.
“Let’s focus on getting this creep, first,” Garcia shuttered, pulling up multiple photos of dead bodies on the screen. “These are the two victims that we know of, Jenna Benson and Evan Perry.”
“What was the cause of death?” Morgan asked.
“Gunshot to the head. But, there are two ante mortem shots on each of the victim, one in the leg and one in the… nether regions,” Garcia shuttered, pulling up more pictures of the injuries on the bodies.
“Genital mutilation, that’s a statement,” you responded.
“And it was done before he killed them, so it’s definetly torture.”
“Do you think he could be trying to extort information? One bullet each time you don’t get a question right? You have three strikes to get it right?” JJ suggested.
“I don’t know, but these bodies were only killed a few hours apart, and chances are he’s already moved on to his next victim. Wheels up in 30.”
The group began to dismiss, Spencer’s hand still locked in yours as you left and went back to your desks.
“I’m gonna go grab our bags from the car and call my mom, you’ll be okay for a few minutes?” Spencer questioned, his eyes wide as he awaited your response.
“Yes, I’ll be fine on my own, Spence,” you giggled, rolling your eyes as you turned towards him and back at your desk, mixing thoughts of your big day and the big case racing through your mind.
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
The plane ride was long, going backwards in time to reach the opposite coast always took a while. The team spoke for a bit about the case, before saying all that could be said and separating into their own comfort. You and Spencer sat close in the chairs, your head resting on his shoulder as he flipped through some case files.
Garcia had popped in earlier with the knowledge that the victims attended high school together, making these killings seem a lot less random.
“Jenna was a freshman when Evan was a senior, it’s probably unlikely they knew each other,” Spencer whispered to you, his brows furrowed as he tried to uncover something between the lines.
“I knew a lot of seniors when I was a freshman,” you shrugged, dismissing his theory.
“Yeah, but you went to a small school, everybody knew everyone. Vegas high schools aren’t like that,” he responded sharply, his knowledge of his hometown showing through.
You decided to let Spencer think silently; he tended to work best that way. You shut your eyes for a bit, only waking back up to feel the plane descending.
You didn’t know how you had managed to let time pass away like that, but the stress of everything must have been wearing you down. Spencer had fallen asleep too, his groggy eyes reopening as the plane hit the ground.
Hotch had already given you your assignments, you and JJ off to the second crime scene, which happened to be Evan’s house. The cars were there when you walked off the plane, and an extra car tasked with delivering your luggage to the hotel you probably wouldn’t have a chance to go to.
As you landed, Hotch took a quick phone call, his face making that familiar look when something happened.
“Another body?” Emily asked as he hung up the phone.
“Two. Let’s all go back to the station, for now. We need to sit down and go over everything. If he’s working this quickly, this is a spree. And we have a lot less time than we thought.”
“I’ll let the Detective know,” Rossi nodded, walking towards the car and hopping in the driver's seat. The rest of the team followed, you and Spencer walking side by side to the car that Derek had claimed as his.
“Glad I took that little nap on the plane, doesn’t seem like we’ll be sleeping for the next 48 hours,” you giggled, getting in the back seat of the SUV.
“Probably 72, if we’re being realistic,” Spencer teased, getting in the passenger's seat. He always got in the passenger's seat when the two of you were in the car with one other person. You never questioned it, but one day he let it slip that he just didn’t want the person in the front to be lonely.
You got to the Field Office about twenty minutes later, partially thanks to Derek’s driving. As the rest of the team continued to arrive, the three of you walked into the building to begin your work. You greeted the Agents and Detectives, avoiding small talk as you knew the urgency of this case. Luckily they had a room and boards all set up for you guys. Spencer and Derek began hanging evidence on the boards, as you called Garcia to get an update on your latest victims.
“Hey baby girl, what do you have for us?” Derek flirted, while neatly hanging photos.
“The two vics were actually killed previous to our two victims. Not graduates of our high school, but! One of them is Jenna Benson’s mother, Cheryl. But I cannot find a connection to the other one.”
“Her mother? So there’s gotta be some dirt in that family. What can you find?” You asked, twirling a pen in your fingers.
“I’m looking, but I can’t find much. Cheryl’s husband and Jenna’s dad, Clint, apparently left them when she was 15. Filed for divorce and just left. Other than that, they look pretty normal.”
“What about hospital records, medical stuff? Are there signs of abuse?” Derek asked.
Your phone started ringing loudly on the desk, which you quickly declined and put in your pocket.
“Sorry, go on Garcia,” you apologized, uncomfortably shoving your phone in your jacket pocket.
“Doesn’t appear so… oh, woah. This is odd.”
“What did you find, baby girl?”
“When Jenna was 14, she had a doctors appointment where they noted she was 6 months pregnant. And there’s no other documentation of it. No other ultrasounds, no birth or death certificate of said baby.” Garcia was clicking away, trying to find any trace of other evidence.
“What year was this?” You asked.
“1991.”
“So if the baby was born, they would be 29 now. Fits the profile of a spree killer,” Spencer shrugged.
“Yeah, but how is there no record of this child anywhere?”
“Children,” Garcia chimed in, her voice filled with dread.
“Come again?” Derek asked.
“According to her doctor, Jenna was pregnant with twins.”
At this point, the rest of the team had finally arrived, coming in just in time for the call. Garcia filled everyone in, each of you silently going over the facts. You tried your best to focus on the case, but your mind was still drudging over the details of your wedding. Your phone kept buzzing in your pocket, and you were certain it was some vendor or family member trying to take your money or beg for a plus one. But you couldn’t think about that, not now. You had to be here, be present. You had to catch this man.
“I have another information bomb that is going to blow your minds,” Garcia chimed in, her voice in shock as she awaited permission to talk.
“What is it?”
“In 1992, Cheryl and Clint Benson deposited two sixty-thousand dollar cash deposits in the same week.”
“That’s about how much a baby would go for on the black market,” Spencer added, his fact bringing you all to the same conclusion.
“We have to find Clint Benson, he’ll be the only one that can help us,” Rossi said.
“Do you think he’ll cooperate? That’s super illegal, he might not indict himself,” Emily added.
“We can offer him some kind of deal. If our unsub is one of the children, he’s the only shot we have at finding him.”
“I’ll work on finding the dad. I’ll talk to you guys soon.”
The team split up into smaller conversations, your phone still vibrating violently in your pocket. Spencer walked up to you, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you close.
“You doing alright, honey? You seemed distracted earlier…” he pouted, kissing the top of your head with ease, showcasing his clear difference in height from you.
“I’m just thinking about all the wedding stuff… it’s stupid,” you answered, shaking your head in defense. “It sure doesn’t help that my phone won't stop ringing!” You groaned, ripping it out of your pocket and slamming it down on the table. The team stopped what they were doing and looked towards you, but Spencer waived them away, as if to say, ‘I’m handing this, don’t worry.’
“I’ll answer, and take care of it whatever it is. You focus on the victims, see if we can find some more connections, okay.” Spencer gave you a reassuring kiss on the lips, holding your phone in his palm and walking out to the hallway to handle your never ending stress.
You turned towards the files, trying to take your finances advice and focus on the victims. You looked at the photos over and over, trying to see if there was something you missed. Something that would make this make more sense. And then you had a thought. Something that might make this make sense.
“What if he’s looking for the dad?” You shouted, hoping someone would be drawn to your thought.
“The two men have nothing in common,” Derek responded.
“No, no. I know. But, like…” you stuttered, trying your best to organize the words into your head so they would understand. “The old man is still an outlier. But this younger victim, Evan. He went to highschool with Jenna. What if all the information he had on his dad was he was a senior at her school. Maybe he had a picture, and he’s hunting guys who might be the one.”
“If he came face to face with his mom, though, why not just ask her directly? If he is shooting them to get information, why wouldn’t she give in?” Emily questioned.
You thought for a moment, but JJ came in with an answer before your brain could think of one. Thank god.
“Maybe she wanted to protect him.”
“How would he have gotten a picture of his supposed dad though? Why would she give him a picture and not a name?”
“We’re missing something here. And unfortunately the only way we’ll find it is with more victims,” Rossi said, crossing his arms in frustration.
“And there are. Two more bodies have been found, this time much more recent. Time of death is only two hours ago,” Spencer added, walking back in from the hallway.
“And identification on them yet?” Hotch asked.
“Yeah, they’re sending their names to Garcia. It’s two more men, though. Roughly the same age as Evan. Same look as well, according to the Agent that told me.”
The phone in the middle of the table started ringing, a sign that Garcia had important information to fill your heads. Her voice always brought a kind of sweetness to your thoughts, making the whole room seem brighter.
“Garcia, what’s up?” Rossi asked her, awaiting the key to unlock this case.
“Two more victims both went to high school with Jenna. And they do look a lot alike…” Garcia said.
“Okay, can I state the obvious here. If these babies were sold, what are the chances either of them make it to 29? Most creeps buying infants don’t want them for longevity,” JJ shuttered, feeling sick at the words she was saying, but knew it needed to be discussed.
“Actually, an alarming amount of babies purchased illegally are bought by real parents looking for children to adopt. The adoption process is incredibly lengthy and difficult, and it’s even more difficult to find a newborn. A lot of… more affluent couples take this route.” Spencer nodded quietly after he spoke, something small you had always noticed about him. It was almost if he was reassuring himself that he did okay, that he said all he needed to say.
“So the only shot at finding either of these babies is through Jenna’s father,” Hotch sighed, realizing again that almost all cases came down to one cruical final piece. Clint Benson was your final piece.
“Lucky for you, Aaron Hotchner, I have found our man of the hour. Clint still lives in beautiful Las Vegas, only about fifteen minutes away from where you are now. Sending the home and work addresses as we speak,” Garcia teased, a few of you giggling as your phone’s received her information. Spencer handed you your cell back and smiled, kissing your forehead.
“I handled everything. No one will bother you again,” he assured, making you feel relaxed for the first time in weeks.
“Well, people can bother me a little, it’s still my wedding,” you teased, pushing Spencer slightly as he rolled his eyes and walked back towards Derek.
“I think we should bring Clint here versus ambushing him at home. He may not know about Jenna and Cheryl yet. It only hit the news cycle an hour ago, and they aren’t even releasing the identities,” JJ spoke, her motherly instinct always kicking in in times like these. She was right, as she usually was. It would be better to hear that kind of news here.
“Reid and Derek, go to his house. JJ and Rossi, go to his work. (Y/N) and Emily, stay here and start working on a profile based on what we have so far. Hopefully we can present something soon after we talk with Clint.” Hotch nodded at you all, making sure you all understood your tasks. You blew a kiss to Spencer as he walked out, feeling calmed by his quick smile before he was gone.
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
Clint Benson was devastated when he heard the news of his wife and daughter. He still loved them both, but the guilt and shame of what happened was too much for him. According to Clint, the whole thing was his wife's idea. When she found out Jenna was pregnant at 14, she was heart broken. It was too late for an abortion, because they had only officially found out when she was six months.
“Cheryl was humiliated. Pulled her out of school, locked in her room. Didn’t want none of our friends to see her, to know what she did…” Clint sobbed, his voice tripping over itself.
“Which is why she never saw another doctor?” Hotch asked, carefully poking around for answers.
“Yeah… I kept trying to talk to her, ask her what we were going to do. Telling her Jenna needed to see a doctor. But Cheryl just said she was handing it, was taking care of all of it. I… didn’t know what to do. And then when Jenna went into labor, I begged Cheryl to take her to a hospital… but she wouldn’t. She barricaded herself in front of Jenna… until it was too late. She had them… right in her bedroom… a boy and a girl. They were so, so beautiful.” Clint was crying more, his words sounding more garbled with each passing second. You felt sick, horrible for the man.
Times like this made you wish for the distraction of the wedding. You tried picturing the suit you had planned for Spencer. The colors were perfect for him, and would match the rest of the theme perfectly. But then you remembered the guest list, and the caterer not having enough vegan options, and the open bar messing up your signature cocktail… And don’t even start with the DJ!
“Where are the babies now, Clint?” Hotch asked, his voice now rough and full of urgency.
“I… don’t know exactly. There wasn’t much information passed. Just names and cash.”
“What were the names?”
“Uh… the girl… she went to a couple named Ashley and Brian. The boy… Danielle and Andrew…” Clint mumbled, trying to remember more.
“Wait…” you whispered to yourself, something finally clicking in this case. You ran into the interrogation room, interrupting Hotch, much to his shock.
“Do you remember Andrew’s last name? Or what he looked like?”
“Uh… I think his last name started with an M… He had glasses. Does that help?”
“Hotch… our first victim was Andrew Masters.”
“Yes! Masters was his last name! Wait… victim? Did something happen to him? Is this connected to what happened to Cheryl and Jenna?”
You and Hotch looked at each other, a silent understanding between the two of you. You both knew what was happening here. Andrew Masters was killed by his own son. He was one of two babies given away by the Benson family that fateful evening. But why start murdering your family out of the blue? There was still something missing here.
“Have Garcia find out everything she can about Andrew’s son,” Hotch instructed, nodding you away as he readied himself to continue talking to Clint.
You ran into the hallway and called Garcia, looking around for Spencer, trying to tell him about the break in the case. Whenever either of you found something vital to the investigation, you always told each other immediately. You had done that since your first day on the team.
“What can I do for you, beautiful?” Garcia asked, distracting you from your thoughts about Spencer.
“Andrew Masters, our first victim, can you find anything on his son?”
“Uhh, sure. I can do that... what am I looking for exactly?” She questioned, still typing away madly in the background.
“We think he may be the unsub. Any triggers, any red flags?”
“Hmm, well here’s something. Up until two months ago, he was engaged. Can’t find a reason why it ended, but almost two months ago exactly they cancelled the venue, vendors, everything…”
“For no refunds, I’m sure,” you giggled, knowing well how the wedding industry worked. “What’s the ex fiance up to?”
“Well, she moved back in with her parents, Ashley and Brian, who look relatively normal…” Garcia responded.
“Wait, say that again. What were her parents' names?”
“Ashley and Brian Gregg.”
“Holy shit, Garcia. You’re a genius. Thank you!” You kissed loudly into the phone, hanging up the call and running towards the conference room. Everyone except Hotch was there, but you texted him to meet you in the conference room- that it was urgent.
“Guys, you will not believe this,” you finally said, after everyone arrived and was quiet enough to hear you. “Our first victim, Andrew, was the father of the son that Jenna gave away. Now, Jenna also gave away a daughter to another couple. Now, what are the odds of this. These two kids grow up, fall in love and get engaged. Talk about a trigger, finding out the love of your life is your secret twin.”
“You’re joking… evil twins again? Didn’t we already do this?” Emily laughed.
“It’s most likely just the guy. I’ll call Garcia and get her to send us everything she has on him. We gotta find this dude,” Derek instructed, leaving the room to speak to Garcia.
“How did they find out, though? Chances are the parents didn’t even know they were twins,” Rossi asked.
“Most likely not. Clint said the babies were picked up on different days.” Hotch added.
“It doesn’t matter how he found out, what matters is that he’s gonna kill a lot of people until he finds his ‘Dad’. He wants to punish anyone he thinks is involved in this crime.”
“We’ll put his picture out all over the media, and an APB on any vehicles he has. He won’t be able to hide for long. He has a mission, he’ll have to complete it.”
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
Hotch, as usual, was right about the unsub. He did not stay in hiding for long. The police and FBI searched for six hours in his comfort zone, almost giving up hope, until he finally caved and came looking for another victim. JJ and Derek got to him first, trying to persuade him to drop his gun and come with them.
When it was finally all over, you felt equally ecstatic and exhausted. You couldn’t wait to crawl up onto a leather private jet chair and take an amazing nap. You were sad you didn’t get at least one night in the hotel. Something about hotels made Spencer get in a certain mood… even if you got a night away, there wasn’t much sleeping happening.
But you were grateful to be going home, at least until the next case popped up. You and Rossi were the only two that stayed back while the team went searching, wanting to be here in case any new bodies popped up. Rossi was wrapping up some paperwork with the other Agents out in the main room, and you paced back and forth in the conference room, hating the silence that was left when you were alone.
Rossi walked casually back to the conference room, and you could’ve sworn he had changed clothes. Maybe it was the extreme lack of sleep, but you could’ve sworn he didn’t look so… nice when he left the room.
“You ready to head to the airport? Everyone is gonna meet us there.” Rossi said, holding the door open for you.
“Oh, uh, yeah. Sure,” you responded, slightly confused at why the team didn’t come back here first. They usually did. But, everyone was tired and there really was no need to come back, you and Rossi had taken care of everything you needed to do to leave.
You followed Rossi down to the car, making small talk as he got in the driver’s seat and began heading away. You had only ever been to Vegas on trips for work, so you’d never really seen much of the city. It didn’t help that every street looked almost identical. You felt lost as you stared out the window, wondering how a young Spencer Reid could’ve survived in this massive city.
“Oh, before we get there, I just have to make one quick stop,” Rossi said, turning the turn signal on and pulling to the side of the road.
“Oh, uh, right now?” You questioned, jolting up as he hastily parallel parked the car.
“Yeah, it’ll be real quick. But, this isn’t a great part of town, so maybe you should come in with me…” He instructed, turning the car off and waiting for your answer.
“Um… I think I’ll be okay, Dave.” You laughed, rolling your eyes and turning to look at your phone.
“I really think you should come with me.”
“Are you not gonna go unless I do?”
“Pretty much.”
“Fine!” You rolled your eyes, opening the passenger door and getting out of the car. You stood on the sidewalk, standing angrily as you waited for Rossi to get out and walk to you.
“What are we even doing here-” you asked, turning around and getting smacked in the face with one of the cheesiest and most stereotypical Vegas chapels you had ever seen. Neon flashing lights, Elvis decor, cheap paint. It was amazing.
“Why the hell are we at a Chapel? Are Emily and JJ finally getting hitched?” You laughed, staring at disbelief at the building.
“Why don’t you just go inside…” Rossi instructed, waiting for you to enter the building so he could follow.
“Alright…” you responded, walking in the door and being immediately bombarded by JJ and Emily. They were in dresses, which made you even more confused.
“Come with us! You’ve gotta get ready!” JJ said, grabbing onto your arm and pulling you towards a door down the hallway.
“What is happening? Did we drink too many Margaritas at the taco place again…” you said, still being dragged against your will to a secret room.
And then you saw it. Emily opened the hideously pink painted door to a small dressing room, and in the middle was the single thing about your wedding that had gone right.
The dress. You found it a few months ago, and immediately knew it was the one. It was one of the first dresses you tried on, but you knew immediately it was the one for you.
“How did you… what is happening…”
“You’re gonna put the dress on, and then you’re gonna get married. That’s what's happening,” Emily shrugged, pushing you in the room.
“But… no… what about… and…” you stuttered, sitting down on the cigarette infused couch, the smell of stale smoke so strong it made you gag when you sat down.
“Okay, let’s not sit on that,” JJ laughed, pulling you up and away from the toxic furniture.
“I can’t get married. I’m not ready!” You protested, Emily stripping your clothes as you stood shocked.
“Just get in the dress, everything will be okay,” JJ assured you.
“No… I can’t…”
“Get in the dress, (Y/N), or I swear to God I will have to hurt you,” Emily joked, her eyes trying to be serious but a tiny smirk made it obvious.
“Fine. But I’m not happy about this.”
But then you put the dress on. And they were right. Everything made sense. You loved Spencer, and nothing mattered except marrying him, promising your life to him. The location, the guest list, the food… it didn’t matter. Your love mattered. He mattered.
“I’m ready,” you nodded, a few tears flowing down your cheek.
You walked out of the worst dressing room of all time, your dress dragging on the cheap shag carpet behind you. Emily handed you a bouquet of fake flowers, which made you and JJ laugh as you opened the doors to the chapel.
On the other end of a long red carpet was Spencer Reid, the one person you loved most in this world. He had on his suit, the one you designed in your head. You weren’t sure how he made it possible- you weren’t sure how he made any of this possible. But you couldn’t stop crying, a gush of hot tears flowing down your face as you walked anxiously down the aisle to your new forever.
“You are the most beautiful person in the world,” Spencer whispered to you, taking your hands as you reached the end of the aisle. JJ and Emily sat down next to the rest of the team, the only other guests in attendance. It was perfect, though. You couldn’t have imagined it any other way.
“We are gathered here today to celebrate the love between (Y/N) and Spencer,” the man said. “Thank you all for coming to this beautiful celebration. Spencer and (Y/N) have decided to share their own vows.”
“Um, I don’t have my vows,” you sighed, looking around awkwardly at the crowd.
“Should’ve memorized 'em, like I did,” Spencer winked. You rolled your eyes in annoyance, lightly shoving Spencer on the arm.
“Do we need to do all this? I mean… I know you love me. I know I love you, and I hope you know that. I know that every small thing you do makes me fall more and more in love. And I can’t imagine any day of my life without you by my side. Can’t we just skip to the I do part and get married!” You wrapped your arms around Spencer’s waist and pulled him closer.
“I just want to say one thing before I kiss the bride. Nothing has mattered more to me than you since the moment we met. I would stop the world for you if I could. I wanted to do something to take away all your stress, and although I couldn’t do it perfectly, I think this is going pretty well.” Spencer smiled goofily at you, squeezing on your hand.
“Oh, the rings!” You squealed, looking around for the small box.
“Right here,” Derek smiled, handing the box to Spencer. “Best man duties.”
Spencer slipped the metal circle around your finger, his hands shaky as he slipped it on. You grabbed his ring from the box, putting it delicately on his hand, your heart racing, still unable to process what was happening.
“Is that it?” Spencer asked excitedly, looking up at the ordained Elvis, hoping to be married already.
“Well, I have to say one thing. I now pronounce you married. You may kiss your bride!”
Spencer wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you into him. He kissed you excitedly, his lips moving rapidly with yours.

Y/N sat in Hotch’s office, right leg shaking as she watched the man read over all the notes she had received over the last 4 months. His eyes scan over the words of each note, some being longer than the others.
Finally, he looked up after what felt like an eternity.
“How long has this been going on?” He asked her with a raised brow.
“The letters, or me and her?” Y/N asked back.
“Let’s start at the beginning then,” he said.
Y/N took a breath, “Okay, it started in my freshman year of college. Caroline took me under her wing and I trusted her. She was seven years older than me so she became like a big sister at first, but than she would try to get me to do things I wasn’t comfortable with doing. When I said no to doing these things she would get angry a-and hit me, so I started distancing myself from her.
When I gained new friends, I guess she became jealous and she would come over when they were there and just psychologically torture me and them. Yell at us, use the power of suggestion and hurt them, she’s really good at mind games and manipulating people. She would convince them it wasn’t her that hurt them, but them who told her to do it or that they fell and hurt themselves, and there was nothing I could do to stop her from hurting people I loved. She said if I told anyone she would hurt my family. So I never let myself have friends, she was the only one I talked to, and she would hit me and scream at me until I was nothing but a shell of who I was.” Y/N wiped the tears on her face that she didn’t even realize had fallen. “I’m- I’m sorry-”
“Y/N it’s alright, it’s a time in your life that was very traumatic,” Hotch said, letting her feel comfortable again after she felt embarrassed. “How did you get away?”
“In my junior year, I decided I wanted to stop people who wanted to hurt others, like how Caroline was doing to me, so my senior year I applied for the academy after I graduated. I guess she found out and then she disappeared, but she would send me notes just like this up until my 25th birthday.”
“That’s when she went to prison for assault,” Hotch said as he looked over the timeline Penelope had pieced together.
 “Yeah,” Y/N said.
“What does the bird mean?” Hotch asked.
 “I don’t know, she’s always liked it, I guess it’s her signature,” Y/N answered.
 “Who all knows about her?”
“My mom, my best friend who lives in Seattle, Spencer, and Penelope,” Y/N said. “And of course you, now.”
“Alright, I don’t know what all I can do to help, but thank you for telling me Y/N,” Hotch said with a small smile which made Y/N feel better.
“Thank you, sir,” Y/N said and stood up to exit the room, wiping under her eyes to clear the mascara before she faced the music of those in the bullpen.
She walked down the four steps from Hotch’s office and reached the floor of the bullpen. Spencer looked up from his desk to see Y/N, his heart aching seeing the same tear-stained face from when she told him a couple of days before.
Spencer completely understood fully why she didn’t tell him about this. She didn’t know about his problem with Dilaudid until one night they were together on the plane a little while after she joined the team. The rest of the team was asleep but the two insomniacs were wide awake, talking quietly and getting to know each other better. That’s the night Y/N developed feelings for the boy wonder.
“Alright, what’s one of the hardest cases you worked?” Y/N asked in a whisper as she looked over at Spencer in his chair.
“Uh, for me personally, or just a genuinely hard case?”
 “Both.”
“Well, I guess they go hand-in-hand,” Spencer began. “We-we were working these home invasion cases in Georgia, and we thought that the unsubs were more than one you know? Anyway, JJ and I went to one of the suspect’s home and I was kidnapped-”
“Spencer you don’t have to-” Y/N tried to tell him he didn’t have to tell her this, seeing that it was hard for him.
“No, no, I want to,” Spencer interrupted. He wanted to tell her because he trusted her. He continued to tell the story of how Tybyus Heinkel was all the unsubs in one, having a multiple personality disorder. How he was drugged and tortured for two days, and how he had a drug problem after too.
“Spencer, I’m so sorry,” Y/N said, reaching over and placing her hand on top of his.
“For what? You don’t have anything to be sorry for. Anyways, it’s over now, so what’s your hardest case?” Spencer said reassuring her, trying to turn the topic away from him.
“Well, from the ones I worked with before the BAU…”
“How’d it go?” Spencer asked as Y/N approached his desk.
“As well as it could have gone,” she said with a sad smile. She was glad that she finally told Hotch, knowing this was probably better than just keeping it to herself.
She sat down at her own desk and began to get back to work, but her mind couldn’t focus, the only thing she was able to think about being the last note she got.
--------
“Okay, Kevin, seriously, I got a meeting I gotta get to,” Derek said to Kevin while he stood outside of the round table room.
Y/N stood with Penelope, both of them watching with curiosity as Derek and Kevin talked. Well, Kevin talked while chasing Derek.
“Derek, please, come on, bro-- this is important,” Kevin pleaded as Derek walked into the room.
“Oh, this should be interesting,” Y/N said as she watched Penelope approach Derek.
“Um, hi, yeah what was that about?” Penelope asked, knowing that Drek and Kevin never just chit-chat together.
“Oh uh, he just wanted to talk,” Derek responded.
 “About what?”
 “Guy stuff.”
 “Me?”
“Garcia,” Hotch said interrupting the two’s conversation. “Let’s get started.”
“Oh- yes, sorry, uh. Two couples were found shot, uh, to death in the Delridge neighborhood of Seattle, Washington,” Penelope said beginning the case. “The first was Mark Daniel and Ben priestly, they were found dead in their living room. The second was John and Heather Miller, they lived 4 miles away, and they were found last night dead in their hallway.”
“Their daughter found them?” JJ asked.
“Yeah, she had snuck out to see her boyfriend, when she got back, they were dead,” Penelope answered.
“Two double homicides must be rare in that area,” Rossi stated.
“What makes it weirder is that there was no sign of robbery or sexual assault,” Penelope said.
“The shooter used a 22,” Derek said looking up from the file.
 “Shot them execution-style,” JJ said.
“He’s experienced enough to use a pillow as a silencer, “ Hotch added.
“Don’t wanna wake the neighbors,” Emily said.
“You know,” Spencer began turning to the screen with the crime scene photos on it. “These crimes seem to lack the emotionality that we typically see in personal cause homicides.”
“Most executions are criminal enterprise related,” Y/N said looking at Spencer next to her.
“But the probability of these couples being involved in the exact same illegal activity is kind of low,” Spencer countered.
“There’s no way these were random victims of opportunity,” Derek said looking over at Spencer.
“Garcia, no sign of forced entry?” Hotch asked the woman next to him.
“None that the authorities have found, no,” she responded.
“So it’s a home invasion,” Hotch said plainly.
“Or-” Y/N held her pen up- “the unsub is using a ruse,” she said pointing the pen at Hotch while she spoke.
“Either way, they’re calculating and dispassionate,” Rossi said.
“They have no appreciation to chenille throw pillows,” Penelope said looking at the pillows n the photos.
“Well, the violent and targeted nature of these crimes suggests that there could be more,” Derek said leaning forward on the table.
“Wheels up in thirty,” Hotch said dismissing everyone.
Everyone began to walk out of the room, and Y/N walked swiftly to catch up with Derek before he got to his office.
“Morgan,” she whispered loudly as she followed behind him.
“What’s up, Pretty girl?” Derek said turning around to look at Y/N.
“Was Kevin talking to you about him doing something extra special for Penelope? Maybe like a proposal?” Y/N asked with excitement.
Derek raised a brow in surprise, “How did you know that?”
“Well you two have never just ‘talked’, and he was over-explaining things with his hands. It’s also what my best friend’s boyfriend did with me before proposing to her,” Y/N explained.
“He did, but I don’t know if that’s even what Penelope wants,” Derek said, trying to give a reason as to why he avoided Kevin’s question earlier.
“I mean, I get it, you didn’t want to give him false hope, but you and I both know she’s going to try and find out what’s going on now, right?”
Derek laughed nodding, “Yeah, she probably will.”
---------------
“Alright, let’s go over victimology,” Hotch said, bringing the attention to him.  “Each of the victims is a professional.”
“The domestic partners were lawyers and the millers worked at a tech company,” Rossi said looking at Hotch.
“But P.D. couldn’t find any overlap,” Emily added.
“Both couples were really enjoyed by their peers, neighborhood watch, volunteered in community groups, you name it,” Penelope said, her voice coming through the laptop speaker.
“This was a straight-up execution,” Y/N said looking at the file in her hand. “The kneeling on the ground, placing a pillow behind the head.”
 “Seems ritualistic,” Hotch said.
“Or simply taking precautions,” Rossi argued.
“Some of the vics were shot in the leg,” Emily said, almost a question but more of an unknown statement.
“They probably were trying to defend themselves, and this was the only way our unsub could them to the floor,” Rossi said looking at Emily.
“Well, the scenes pretty clean, except what’s left on the floor and the pillows,” JJ said.
“Garcia, how are each of the couples’ financials?” Hotch asked the woman on the screen.
“Yo, I wish mine were this good,” she responded.
“What about the Millers’ daughter Abby?” Rossi asked.
“Yeah, she sneaks out to see her boyfriend, that seems oddly convenient,” Y/N said looking at Rossi in agreement.
“P.D. confirms her story, a neighbor saw her kissing her boyfriend in his backyard during the times of the kills,” Spencer said, taking the theory of the daughter being apart away.
“Romantic,” Y/N said with a chuckle at what the teenagers had been doing.
“You guys, something just happened,” Penelope said, bringing the attention to her frantic voice. “Another couple, the same area, shot to death in their house.”
“This is turning into a spree,” Derek said.
“Targeting potentially unrelated couple,” Emily added.
“And the time between the murders is accelerating,” Spencer said.
“Prentiss, you and JJ go talk to Abby. Dave and I will go to yesterday’s crime scene, Y/N you, Morgan and Reid go to the newest,” Hotch ordered.
--------------
Derek pulled into the driveway of the latest victims’ home. The three filed out of the car and met the detective outside the house.
“Hi, I’m Agent Morgan, this Dr. Spencer Reid, and Agent Y/L/N,” Derek said shaking the detective’s hand and introducing the two beside him.
“Nice to meet you guys, follow me,” the detective said, leading the three inside.  “I mean, we get our occasional DWI, a few kids egging a house on Halloween, but people shot like this…looks like one of those cable shows.”
“Well again, there’s no sign of a break-in,” Derek said from his spot in the doorway.
Y/N left Spencer’s side and began to look around the room, inspecting the photos and paintings. Trying to get a sense of who this couple was.
“But all the windows were unlocked, so who knows?” The detective said, the question rhetorical.
Y/N then turned her head and looked at the blood spots on the floor. “They were killed right here?” She asked turning to the detective while she pointed to the spot.
 “Yeah,” the detective responded.
“They still had their keys out,” Spencer said pointing out the keys that were laying on the ground.
“So they were caught off guard,” Derek said.
“The house is childproof,” Spencer said, noticing all the childproof items around the room.
“Yeah, it must have been a relative or neighbor’s kids,” the detective said.
“They didn’t have any kids?” Y/N asked, prompting the detective to shake his head in response.
Y/N and Derek followed Spencer as he wandered into the living room of the house. They looked at the table noticing the soda can sitting on the table.
“The unsub probably sat right here,” Derek said pointing the armchair beside him.
“Had a soda-” Spencer pointed to the can on the table- “we should pull the cans for prints.”
“The reading light is on still, the unsub was probably looking for something,” Y/N said after noticing the light was still on.
“But there aren’t any magazines or newspapers around, which means it’s important enough to take him out of killing mode,” Spencer said looking at Y/N.
“For someone on a spree, this unsub sure is patient,” Derek said.
“If he’s so patient what is it that he’s waiting for?” Spencer asked, looking between Derek and Y/N.
“Maybe the unsub though they had something he wanted, and when they didn’t, he killed them,” Y/N said as her eyes looked back to the spot where the couple was killed.
Once the three had finished in the house, they thanked the detective and headed out to the SUV. The damp air made Y/N pull her navy jacket around her tighter as the air gave her a chill.
“Y/N, doesn’t your best friend live here?” Spencer asked her as they got into the vehicle.
“Yeah, she’s a surgical resident at some hospital,” she answered as they pulled out of the driveway. “I would go visit her but I think she’s a little busy, as well and me.”
------------
“The Millers and the Gilberts both participated in our foster program, it’s a local joint venture we have with the community center,” the pastor said to Y/N and Spencer that sat across from him at his desk.
Hotch had sent the two to the church after they discovered that two of the couples attended the same one.
“That could be the same community center our first victims volunteered at,” Y/N said looking at Spencer who sat next to her.
“Well that explains why the homes were childproof,” Spencer said looking to Y/N. “They sometimes had kids in their custody.”
“Yeah but if they were foster parents, it would’ve come up when Garica checked their backgrounds,” Y/N said.
“What happens if you get a child who needs a home immediately but no foster families are available? Is there some sort of emergency list or something?” Spencer asked the pastor.
“ Yeah, they can take the kids for just for a night or a weekend, and -uh- both couples were on that list, too,” the pastor answered.
“We’re gonna need a copy of that list,” Y/N said to the pastor.
“We also need the names of anyone who would have had access to it,” Spencer added. “Our unsubs following that list,” he whispered to Y/N.
“Let me go get that list for you,” the pastor said before exiting the room.
 “Thank you,” Y/N said.
The pastor returned a moment later with the list. Spencer and Y/N thanked him once again before they left the building.
“Our last couple had a baby in their possession two days ago,” Y/N said as she pointed to the name and date on the list.
“That sheds some light on the 22, that gun is easy to handle,” Spencer said as the two walked through the church courtyard.
“And it’s not very loud,” Y/N added, pocketing the list in her jacket.
“You know, add that to no forced entry, I don’t think the pillows were used to minimize sound, they were used to stay clean. Which means this unsub might be a woman,” Spencer said as his brain put the pieces of the puzzle together.
“She probably had a connection to the foster system,” Y/N said as she caught on the train Spencer was on.
“Or she simply wants a kid,” Spencer countered.
“But then why wouldn’t she just snatch one off the street?” Y/N said, her voice coming off defensive as the two stopped walking.
“This is a maternal desire, these couples took in babies. Maybe she lost her own or can’t conceive,” Spencer said.
“So she killed those people because when she got to their home, they didn’t have a child,” Y/N said, her theory she said back at the crime scene becoming true.
“She’ll keep killing until she finds one,” Spencer said as the two began to walk again.
----------
“We believe the unsub we’re looking for is a white female. Who, based upon the organizational level of the crimes, is in her late 30s to early 40s,” Hotch said.
“We also believe that something in the last few days has triggered her to think that killing was the only she was going to be able to obtain a child,” Emily explained.
“Consequently, the foster families that did not have a child in their care when she visited, became her victims,” Y/N added, her eyes looking over the officers in front of her.
“Because all these families recently had children in their homes, we believe our unsub is motivated by maternal desire,” Rossi said.
“Maternal desire is the profound emotional need to mother a baby, this stems from either a tragic loss of her own child or the inability to have one at all,” JJ explained.
“This unsub my also fantasize that someone else’s baby belongs to her, and this emotion feels beyond her control,” Spencer began as he stood up from his chair. “A woman who miscarries sometimes projects onto someone else’s baby and then sets out to take that child.”
“This may cause our unsub to do something drastic. Like commit a cesarean abduction or kidnap a random kid,” Derek said.
“The speed that the kills are occurring suggests that our unsub is frustrated and devolving,” Y/N added.
“This is causing her to go on a spree, which usually ends in a very high body count and suicide by cop,” JJ said.
“So we should look at anyone who was pregnant and suffering from postpartum psychosis,” Derek explained looking at the officer around.
“We also need to check those who worked for or had access to the local foster system,” Rossi added.
“Thank you, any questions?” Hotch asked looking at the officers.
Almost every officer in the room raised their hands. Hotch began to call on people and answer their questions, but Y/N was pulled away as her phone rang.
“Hey Penelope what’s up?” Y/N asked after she answered, walking away from the group.
“What were Derek and Kevin talking about yesterday, I know your nosey butt found out so tell me,” Penelope said, her voice gritting at the end of her sentence.
“I can’t do that Penelope, it’s not my place,” Y/N responded, not wanting to spoil the surprise.
“Ugh, fine I’m just gonna keep calling Derek till he answers,” Penelope then hung up the phone, making Y/N chuckle as she went back to the group.
After they had finished answering questions, the team separated and began to work on case details.
Y/N sat next to Spencer as he wrote something down while he formed the geographical profile, while Hotch talked to Penelope on the phone. She looked at Spencer, silently admiring his face, his upper lip tucked under his bottom as he focused on his writing.
“Another woman’s been shot,” the detective said, bringing Y/N back to reality. “Three blocks from here.”
“She has a fairly limited comfort zone,” Spencer said as he looked at the spot the woman was just shot at on the map.
“Alright, Reid, you and Y/N work the list, I’ll take Rossi and Prentiss with me,” Hotch said, quickly exiting the room.
“You know, you’re not gonna get any work done if you keep looking at me working,” Spencer said, feeling Y/N’s gaze on him as he sat working.
“It helps me think,” she responded. Spencer chuckled and continued to work.
-----------
“Okay, here’s the dealio and stay with me,” Penelope said over the phone. After Hotch, Rossi, and Emily visited the scene, they discovered that the woman that was shot had a baby. She was in the process of adopting him and they needed to find out the birth parents that were sealed by the state. “Ben, formerly known as Johnny, was born to Margaret Hallman.”
“Where is she now?” Hotch asked.
“Well, she should be at the Fallbrook women’s correctional facility, but she was released four days ago due to overcrowding,” Penelope answered.
“We thought it was a mental institution,” JJ said.
“But if she was released, why kill to get your own kid?” Rossi asked.
“Her maternal rights must have been terminated,” Spencer answered.
“Yeah, that happens when you have sex with one of your high school students two years ago,” Penelope said.
“Ew,” Y/N said out loud, the word just slipping out from astonishment and disgust.
“Uh-huh, his name is Thomas Brown, AKA Tommy Brown, and he is little Johnny’s baby daddy, like for real,” Penelope explained.
 “Teacher love syndrome,” Hotch said.
“She gave birth to Tommy’s baby in jail, and then when Tommy’s mom refused to raise it, the baby was put in foster care.”
“Okay, so we were right, the baby did spend time in each of the victims’ homes,” Derek said.
 “Oh, you betcha,” Penelope responded.
“That would explain the spree and the maternal desire,” Emily elaborated.
“She’s trying to put her family back together,” Y/N said.
“Garcia, we need the Browns’ address,” Hotch ordered to Penelope.
“On its way sir,” Penelope responded.
The team piled into the SUVs and made their way to the Browns’ residence. The tires came to screeching stop and they piled out of the vehicles and made their way inside.
“Please....please help!” A girl laying on the ground spoke.
“Female down,” Derek said passing her and heading into the next room.
Y/N and JJ kneeled beside her.
“We need an ambulance at 1986 Homer Street,” Hotch said into his wire. “Is Margret Hallman in the house?” He asked the girl.
Y/N and JJ began inspecting her injuries, seeing a gunshot wound in her back.
“No, she took Tommy,” the girl answered breathing heavily.
“Hey, you’re gonna be okay, sweetie,” Y/N said, hoping to comfort the girl on the ground.
 “What’s your name?” JJ asked.
 “Julie Parker,” she answered.
“Julie, do you know where they went?” Hotch asked her.
 “No,” she cried. “It hurts.”
“Alright, hey, it’s gonna be okay,” Y/N comforted the girl.
“Let’s put this on it, okay,” JJ said, grabbing a rag and holding it against her back.
“Are you Tommy’s neighbor?” Hotch asked, continuing with his questions.
“Yes, Ms. Hallman had their baby with her, Tommy took all his stuff,” Julie explained, her voice trembling from the pain.
“The place is empty,” Emily said entering the room.
“It’s clear here too,” Derek said entering from the kitchen.
“We need to find all we can on Margret Hallman,” Y/N said looking at Hotch.
“There are probably other victims in her past,” Hotch agreed.
The sounds of sirens were heard allowing Julie to sigh in relief.
“JJ, stay with Julie until her parents get here, we’ll call Garcia and find out what we can about Ms. Hallman,” Hotch said, exiting the room with Derek, Emily, and Y/N.
“What you got baby girl,” Derek said answering the phone while they stood outside the browns house.
“Okay, Ms. Hallman had an exemplary record in jail,” Penelope explained.
“What was her interaction with the outside world like?” Y/N asked.
“Um- well, she had limited computer use, and she used all of that time searching for a… Johnny Lewis,” Penelope said, her voice questioning at the end.
 “Her baby?” Derek asked.
“No,” Penelope began. “Johnny Lewis is one of her former students from Lake Forrest School. His parents charged her with molestation, and then they dropped the charges.”
 “When was this?” Emily asked.
“Three years prior to meeting Tommy,” Penelope answered.
“So she had a baby with Tommy and names it after the first kid she molested,” Y/N said with astonishment.
“Yeah, and according to the prison’s hard drive, she wrote dozens of emails to this Johnny Lewis,” Penelope explained.
“Maybe Tommy’s a surrogate for him,” Emily said looking at Y/N beside her.
“Garcia, we need to talk to the Lewis’,” Hotch said.
“Mm, their phone is disconnected,” Penelope answered.
“What about an address?” Y/N asked.
“They’ve moved around a lot. Oh- wow, okay it’s like they’re off the grid.”
“Well, who lives in their old house now?” Derek asked. “Maybe they could help us get info.”
“Uh, it’s changed hands a lot. Oh, snap, crackle, and pop goes the lady weasel. You’ll never guess who bought it,” Penelope said.
“Ms. Hallman,” Y/N and Emily said together, having no surprise or question in their voices.
“Mm-hm, it was picked up by her sister a year ago, and then it was transferred to Maggie’s name yesterday,” Penelope explained.
“Send us the address?” Hotch asked.
 “Already sent,” Penelope answered.
---------
The sun had just set as the team rolled up to Margaret Hallman’s house. Local police followed in cars behind them as they stopped in the street in front of the house.
Y/N, JJ, and Derek walked up to Hotch and Emily as they got out of the car.
“Take the front, Prentiss, and I will take the back,” Hotch said. The three nodded, taking their guns out.
The three walked up to the front of the house and watched as Tommy walked out, a gun in his hand.
“FBI, drop it!” Derek said when he noticed the gun in the teen’s hand.
He lifted the hand with no gun in it up, the other staying by his side. “Just-- Just move, move-- move back,” Tommy spoke with a scared voice.
“Tommy, drop the gun,” Y/N said, her own gun pointing at the boy.
“Just-- just get off our yard,” he answered, his hand motioning over the yard in front of him.
“You don’t want to do this,” JJ said with a stern, clear voice.
“You don’t know me,” Tommy said. “My--my girl and kid are in there-”
“She’s a predator, Tommy,” Derek tried to reason with him.
“No, she’s not an animal. We love each other,” Tommy tried to explain.
“No, Tommy this isn’t love,” Derek said.
“Tommy this is a woman who’s been taking advantage of you, she molested you,” Y/N tried to explain.
“No, I--I knew what I was doing,” Tommy replied.
“Did you know there was another kid exactly like you from another school?” JJ asked.
 “Shut up!” Tommy exclaimed.
“You weren’t the first, Tommy,” Y/N said.
“No, no, They’re lying!” Maggie exclaimed as she walked out, pointing at Y/N and JJ.
“Tommy she wrote letters to him, too,” Derek explained.
“That’s not true,” Maggie said with a sickeningly sweet voice.
“And she’d tell him that everything happens for a reason,” Y/N added.
 “Be quiet!”
“She said that he was the love of her life, that she loved to sneak out to see him,” Y/N continued.
“That’s it!”
“Tommy, she wrote that to another boy, who lived in this exact same house,” Derek said.
“What are they talking about?” Tommy asked looking at Maggie.
“She even named your son after him,” Y/N said.
“Answer me, damn it!” Tommy exclaimed looking at Maggie, who was covering her ears with her hands.
“Without you, my life would be empty, and that’s why nothing is going to keep us apart, and I mean nothing,” Maggie said.
Tommy then dropped the gun in his hand, not wanting to believe Maggie anymore.
Maggie then quickly grabbed the gun Tommy dropped and shot, hitting Y/N on her upper left arm.
“Ugh!” Y/N exclaimed as she grabbed her arm in pain, blood covering it. She looked up and saw Maggie herself lying down in pain. Hotch could be seen through the screen door of the house, gun still pointed at Maggie.
“Maggie!” Tommy exclaimed, falling to his knees next to her.
“Y/N are you okay?” JJ asked as she kneeled beside her.
“Yeah-- yeah, I think so, I might need to go get it looked at though,” Y/N said, looking at the wound on her arm.
“We need paramedics of the front porch, suspect it down and a federal agent has been wounded,” Hotch said into his wire.
---------
When Y/N arrived at the E.R. of the hospital with JJ, she was directed towards a bed before someone would be with her.
“Y/N?” A familiar voice said as they approached.
Y/N looked up from her wound that she was inspecting to see her best friend standing, holding a tablet in her hand.
“London!” Y/N said with excitement as her friend walked towards her. They hugged each other tightly, London avoiding the part of her arm that was hurt. “Oh, I’m sorry JJ, this is London, my best friend,” Y/N said introducing the two.
JJ shook London’s hand introducing herself.
“Hi I’m Dr. Wilson, I’ll be taking care of you today Mrs. Y/L/N,” a brunette doctor said approaching the three.
“Oh, Wilson, if you don’t mind, I’ll take this one, and it’s Agent Y/L/N,” London said, correcting her younger peer.
“Oh-- right sorry,” Dr. Wilson said before walking away timidly.
“I get to do that, she’s an intern,” London said, making Y/N and JJ laugh.
London began looking at the wound on Y/N’s arm, telling her it would need some stitches seeing that it was a clean entry and exit wound.
As Y/N and JJ sat while London patched up her arm, they chatted about life and all the things that were happening. Their attention was soon brought away from their chat as a frantic Spencer Reid entered the room.
“Is that him?” London asked, referring back to all the times Y/N told her about Spencer on the phone.
 “Yeah,” she responded.
“You always had good taste,” London chuckled.
“Y/N, oh thank god you’re okay, all that Derek said was that you got shot, and didn’t explain--” Y/N cut him off.
“Spencer, I am fine,” she said with a reassuring smile.
“Oh, okay good,” he said with a sigh of relief.
“Spencer, I want you to meet someone, this is Dr. London Ryan, London this is Dr. Spencer Reid,” Y/N said introducing the two.
“London? As in your best friend London?” Spencer asked.
“Hi, Dr. Reid it’s nice to meet you, Y/N has told me so much about you,” she said, finishing up Y/N’s last stitch.
“Likewise,” he responded smiling at the doctor.
“Alright, you’re good to go Y/N, you’ll have to have those taken out in a couple of days,” London said before her attention was called away to another doctor.
“Ryan! Where are my post-ops?” A shorter, African American doctor in darker scrubs asked her as she approached.
“I finished them an hour ago, Dr. Bailey, they should be in the chart,” she told the doctor.
“London, I have to go, thank you so much, I will take care of my arm I promise,” Y/N said getting up from the bed.
“Whoa, you can’t just get up like that and go she has to discharge you,” Dr. Bailey said to Y/N, not wanting her student to be trampled on by a patient.
“I have, and she can, she’s a federal agent, she has to go catch serial killers,” London said to the other doctor.
“Bring me my post-ops,” Dr. Bailey said, pointing his finger at her before walking away.
“It was nice to meet you, London,” Spencer said and JJ agreed, before Y/N and London hugged, and the three agents left.
----------
“I will never understand this teacher-lover thing, I can barely deal with a grown man,” JJ said as her, Spencer, Y/N, Rossi, and Penelope walked towards the elevator of the office building.
“What’s interesting is if it had been a male teacher and a female student, he’d have gotten 20 years and none of this wouldn’t have happened,” Rossi said.
“She could get life plus 20 for all the murders she committed,” Y/N said.
“You know what’s funny if she wasn’t so pretty, she probably would have never been released in the first place,” Spencer said looking at Y/N beside him.
 “What?” Penelope said confused.
“It’s true, unattractive female predators serve a longer prison sentence than their attractive counterparts,” Spencer explained.
“Wow that’s ridiculous,” Penelope said astonished.
 “For real,” Y/N agreed.
“It’s primal, there’s a hierarchy to everything. Including sex offenders,” Spencer added.
“Okay, well, who’s ready to get breakfast?” JJ asked, seeing that they had flown in early that morning.
“Me,” Y/N said, Spencer and Rossi, giving thumbs up as they began to walk over to the elevator.
“I can’t, there’s something I gotta take care of,” Penelope said noticing Derek coming down the hallway.
 “Have fun,” Y/N said knowingly.
Penelope smiled at her and walked over to Derek.
“What is it about?” Spencer asked as Y/N entered the elevator.
“Oh, Penelope and Kevin, but it’s not my place to tell though, so ask her later,” Y/N answered wanting to respect their privacy.
-
Y/N sighed as she entered Spencer’s apartment, the smell of him filling her nose.
“Spencer, I really don’t have to stay here until I get my stitches out, I will be fine,” she tried to protest, but secretly she wanted to stay.
“I don’t want you to rip them, or do anything that might get it infected,” Spencer said, taking his coat off then pulling Y/N’s off of her since her left arm was in a sling.
“Would a kiss get it infected?” She asked puckering her lips.
Spencer laughed and placed his lips on hers in a sweet kiss. She smiled as he pulled her over to the couch to cuddle.

Reviewing Grey's Anatomy Episodes but this time its Season 17
(To those people on my page who don't watch Grey's Anatomy but are being subjected to this I'm so sorry but I really just like to vent about this show.)
Its season 17 now Yay.
They're dealing with the covid 19 pandemic and I'm sure the writers probably did lots of research to make sure that they had the most accurate representation of the situation in the hospitals and otherwise.
___________________________________________
First we're going to start with the love triangle that is Teddy, Tom and Owen.
Owen
Now this is in no way excusing what he's done in the past for the longest while I've loathed Owen Hunt but..... now I feel sorry for him. He saw he had a problem he went to therapy to get himself right, he was actually a good partner for once and communicated in his relationship, he took his time and didn't jump into marriage spontaneously and then Teddy cheated on him over but dial to be heard by everyone in the operating theater with Owen on their wedding day. (I don't want to sound bad but this might also be karma coming to but him in the ass.) I felt so much 2nd hand embarrassment for him and the pain he had in his face the whole time he pretended not to know about her cheating was just oof. I loved though the end where he drove away for the mean time I really do agree with him taking some time and space before he makes a decision. Most of the times he made a lot of sudden decisions that later came back to bite him.
Teddy
Oh Teddy, she used to be one of my favorite characters from a little after she came to the time she left but now they just carried her character so far down hill that it's hard to keep the same energy I had before, now. Everyone at Grey Sloan is on Owen's side and giving her the cold shoulder and she really wants everyone to mind their own business (I honestly agree though, you're in the middle of a pandemic mind your business and do your job now isn't the time to be shunning coworkers because they cheated.) However when she did explain her side I kinda understood it a bit better. It's still an awful thing to do but I know plenty of people who sabotage their own happiness because they aren't used to it. Hell I do it myself sometimes. But then I was also pissed when she just pretended she did nothing wrong at first. First thing first she acted kinda offended when Owen explained why he hadn't called to cancel the wedding to her. Was it kinda sus? The answer is yes but you literally cheated on him that same day, you needed the extra time sis. Not to mention the several time he hinted to her that he knew and gave her the chance to confess yet she lied through her teeth whenever he hinted at it and flat out lied again when he asked if she had anything to confess. I get the whole sabotage route but God was I happy when Owen got in his truck, drove off and left her.
Tom
I was honestly rooting for Tom in the beginning, despite him being a douche I knew deep down he had a heart somewhere, but I actually started to feel less sorry for him last season when he continued to sleep with Teddy despite knowing her situation which he pointed out to her several times and she still ignored it. I know he loves her but let's be honest, she's going to pick Owen as long as he decides to actually take her back and Tom will be left alone and heart broken with his $100000 worth of boxes in booties and a golf club to measure 6 ft distance between him and everyone else. Honestly I kinda saw a panic attack coming, if they're treating Teddy bad then they're probably treating him even more like crap based on the fact that no one besides Teddy, Catherine and maybe Amelia liked him to begin with. This may also be an unpopular opinion but I actually agree with Catherine for making him resign of chief of all chiefs his head hasn't and probably won't be in the game for a while. At least he still gets to be head of neuro. He bought a whole $100000 dollars in booties alone by mistake during an already tough pandemic between that and everything else going on around him I'm not surprised he broke. What did surprise me was that no one even went near him to help even after the attack was finished. Dislike him or not at least ask him how he's doing geeze.

Jo and Jackson (Never thought I'd have to put the two of them together in a title.)
Truly the biggest shock of the night besides the trailer for next week which I will freak out about later.
Jo
So Jo has decided that in order for her to feel herself again she has to do the devils tango with someone and because they're in a pandemic and she trusts him she chose Jackson. The night of the appointment to do the deed Jo ends up crying in his mouth. The way she treated him afterwards at first was a little uncalled for in my opinion, I mean she was the one who asked for the favor. But later they talked and it was all cool again. Jo didn't really have that big of a plot this episode so not too much to talk about.
Jackson
Agreed way to quickly to doing the devils tango with Jo if you ask me. Seems a little sus. I really hope they aren't rushing him and Jo into anything give the girl some room to breath and also give Jackson a proper plot he seems to be a plot filler for everyone right now like they have no real purpose for him on the show at the moment. I'm beginning to really think that he was the one who was supposed to die last season. I really do love his and Richard's relationship. Jackson never really had a good father and Webber seems to be filling that spot quite nicely. Him pushing Webber to fight to get better and convince him that his career can be saved was heartwarming. And can we take a moment to talk about Harriet finally appearing from the world of Narnia to bless us with her presence? And boy was she a blessing. That baby that plays Harriet was awesome from her repeating Vic saying she can't be a step mom all to her facial expressions. I hope to see baby Harriet again very soon. But speaking of Vic, did she not know that Jackson was a father? How the hell did she expect to never run into her at some point? Then there's the whole question of what did she even expect of the relationship with Jackson if she never intended to even try to accept being around his daughter? also if she really want to be Robbie Rotten from Lazy town and avoid being around kids, maybe she should call or text first instead of showing up in just a fluffy jacket and nothing else.
___________________________________________
Deluca
Glad to see he finally got the help he needed and is back put tho work. I felt so upset last season when everyone just treated him like crap without trying to help him, but they made up for it a little by trying to help him with the intervention. He was also right about the sex trafficking case and I was so glad to see that he was able to be there as her doctor. Plus he's now also finally in dark blue scrubs it has felt like forever before he got those but I digress. He is now on his way once again to be a kick ass surgeon with the awesome skills hes already showcasing. I just hope he continues to look after himself. Deluca shine like the star you are babe.
___________________________________________
Maggie
Has finally found a man who understands her, he is so nice and kind and caring the whole episode I was mentally yelling go get it hun to the screen. She deserves someone who can take her seriously and understand her awkwardness as well as her tendencies finally she has stepped out of the role of cheerleader and support character and is branching out to something else and I'm here for it. And her yelling at Catherine, to share her piece of mind. I was so proud. Go get it sis.
___________________________________________
Richard
Richard Webber is back in the building, finally the king has returned to himself and already solving problems in day one. At the beginning when he publicly called Catherine a pain in the ass I was so stoked I finally thought that he was done being pushed around by her but then he took her back in the end it also kinda felt like she bought him in order to get him back with the hiring him as the new chief of chiefs but I wish them the best of luck, Webber deserves to be happy. I was also happy to see him and Bailey interacting like friends again. For a while it was awkward between them but now it's like the balance has been restored. Side note, him laughing at Teddy and Owen made me laugh so loudly especially when he asked Teddy if her name was still Altman despite the fact he clearly knew about the phonecall drama, not gonna lie I'd do the same.
___________________________________________
Catherine
Not much there, just her being angry at the pandemic and loss of money, lack of power to save lives as well as trying to win Webber back which she successfully did after firing Koracick and giving Richard his job and finally giving him a heartfelt apology without being petty.
___________________________________________
Bailey
It might just be me but so far despite the fact that it's only been 2 episodes. Bailey seems somewhat better this season. Her guilt over Deluca was definitely warranted but at least she tried to make up for it (and just like Harriet her OCD has decided to rejoin us for a visit from Narnia.) For the past few seasons she's been a slight pain but now she seems more like herself.
Her and Ben are adorable as usual, coming every 12 hours to clap for the doctors just to see her then the cute hand signals they made for each other, between Ben, Link and recently added to the group of awesome partners Winston, I'm beginning to wonder where I can find me one of these super thoughtful understanding handsome men. The two guys that knocked her over as well spraining her ankle really should have to pay or something or at least apologize, they literally just knocked a doctor off her feet and made her wheel chair bound, the chief ro be exact. Her and Webber are on talking terms and well again but she really needs to know how to express concern better. She once told Ben that when she's scared she yells but a lot of things would have gone a lot more smoothly if she'd just reminded him he was a high risk for covid and state her concern for him to begin with instead of barking out orders.
I'm also wondering if shes going to be able to handle the whole Covid situation so well for the whole time, with all the chaos and disorganization with the whole ordeal not to mention the whole fit she had with the germs in the episode. I think it'll be a good storyline now that Grey's seems to be bringing mental awareness back up.

Link and Amelia
They have now officially reached my list along with Ben and Bailey and a few others that are no longer on the show that have reached the stage of killing the couple goals on this show.
Despite the fact that they're not only raising their own baby but also Bailey, Ellis and Zola yet their relationship is still solid. I'm so proud of my baby Amelia she has come a long way from the woman who didn't even want kids to begin with.
I loved the fact that he wasn't upset over her forgetting his birthday and acted like nothing was wrong, just so she wouldn't feel bad about forgetting. I would have been livid set a reminder on your phone babes. Either way she definitely made up for it later with the whole redoing his birthday thing. Also welcome to the world Scout. Looking forward to seeing them more often.

Levi
How did it all turn so bad, Nico has turned into such a jerk at this point I'm not even sure I'd be to upset if he left if it wasn't for the fact that I ship the person he was before and Levi so much I'm still hoping that they'll go back to how they were before Nico became a lying hypocrite. At the end I was practically begging Levi to push him away, Nico doesn't deserve it not after the way he treated him and he hasn't even shown a hint of remorse to this day.

Meredith
The biggest shock of the whole episode. I honestly knew something was going to happen to her from the time she fell asleep and started the dream on the beach. Dreaming of beaches have never been a good sign on Grey's I just thought she was going to collapse from stress because she really had been pushing herself all episode. The thing with Meredith is that she cares so much for her patients and does anything she can to save them, but based on the preview of the next episode and the tests they showed it doesn't seem to be test. And let's just talk about that huge bombshell they dropped by bringing back Derek I never thought I'd see Patrick Dempsey on the show again. By the end of the episode I was already literally shaking in anticipation for the next episode. I know they can't kill Meredith, without her there literally is no Grey's Anatomy. That being said I really hope they don't give her cancer, (I know Patrick is involved with helping a charity for cancer.) And I also really hope she isn't getting alzheimers I just hope it's nothing serious in general. She's been through enough man. I just want this to be a really touching moment where I get to see Merder have some touching moments and it doesn't end up to be Izzie and Denny all over again. I don't think anyone is ready to handle that. I read in a spoiler that there's supposed to be some more visitors arriving on the beach and I'm stoked for it so I really hope it's a real spoiler I'm tired of rewatching the newer seasons to experience some of the old joy.
___________________________________________
Imma need them to give that intern Perez an official recurring contract for the show because he is currently one of the best things to come on that show in years. He's a breath of fresh air.

Wendigo
Ch. 2
Vic telephoned Maggie at intervals throughout the next day and kept an eye on her cell phone, but Maggie didn't answer. Vic was desperate and called Tabitha, luckily Vic and Maggie had kept in touch with her.
- Tabitha, I'm Vic, Vic Mcqueen
"Hi Vic," Tabitha said with a strange voice.
-The day before yesterday Maggie called me, she seemed very scared. She said we were in danger.
"Well, she's gone ..." Tabiha's voice broke into a sob.
-Tabitha, what the hell happened? Where is Maggie? What has happened to him?
- They have killed her, Vic. In a horrible way…. They have ripped out his heart. I'm sure he was that son of a bitch Charlie Manx ...
- I don't think so, Tabitha. Charlie left us alone. Listen, I'll send you the last video she sent me. We have to talk when  you can. I will come.
- No, I don't want you to see her like that ...
- Fuck you, Tabitha. She was my best friend, like a sister and she helped me a lot. It's the minimum, plus I'll pay for her funeral.
When she hung up the phone, Vic broke down and wept bitterly. She had stoically endured the call, but at that moment she couldn't take it anymore. Lou hugged her and let her cry whatever it took, Vic went to bed crying and fell asleep. When Wayne called from the camp, Lou told him that Maggie had been killed by someone, he knew Wayne would guess if he spoke to Vic and Wayne was direct.
- Was it Mr. Manx?
- Your mother thinks not. Plus Aunt Maggie called us saying she was in danger from someone called the Wendigo.
- Give mom a kiss and tell her to say goodbye to her for me.- He said with a sad tone.
- I will,  champ. Don't worry and enjoy the camp. I love you Batboy.
After a while, Vic woke up screaming. She had had visions, that had not happened to him since he had sensed that Manx was close, but the visions had nothing to do with Charlie or Christmasland but with someone tall and corpulent, who wore animal skin on his shoulders and a kind of deer skull with horns on his head and with people gutted and whose hearts had been ripped
Thousands of miles away, Charlie awoke with a start. He had had the same visions as Vic, and he knew from experience that having visions did not bode well, especially if you saw people, with the same gift as yours, gutted and heartless.
The next day, Vic caught a plane and went to Maggie's funeral, Vic and Tabitha spoke after the funeral:
- I've been investigating - Tabitha said, showing him a folder with photos of other cases- Apparently this type of modus operandi has been going on for some time, but it's very spaced out. Apart from Maggie, this was more recent. Tabitha showed him a photo of John Becker The Hourglass Man, he was also found dead.
"My God, is this the guy Maggie caught?" The one who ran me over and manipulated a doctor to kill me?
"Yes. But there are several more." Tabitha showed her more photos.
- Oh my God. There are children… I think I already know what they have in common. At least Maggie and John. They were just like me. Supercreatives.
-Do you think he's a serial killer of supercreatives?
- Yes I think so.
- You're not going to go after him, are you?
Vic didn't say anything. Tabitha told her
- I'll be right back. Do not move from here.
Vic opened the folder and began taking photos with her cell phone  to the archives. Tabitha came back and put the folder away.
- Vic, don't do anything stupid. I would not like you to be part of this collection of corpses. And even if Maggie's tiles  were right, which I have no doubt, don't go ask Manx for help. If you meet him again, he will possibly kill you.
- I know. Keep calm. Goodbye Tabitha.
Vic went to a motel and called Lou
- Hello…
- How was the funeral?
Vic told him about it and said:
- I think this Wendigo is a serial killer of super creative
- Shit…
- I want to finish him, Lou. For Maggie, and for the innocent murdered ...
- What innocents?
- Lou, that guy has killed children, he has ripped their hearts out ...
- Holy God….
-I have to find Charlie Manx ... he's the only one who can help me ...
-Vic… he will kill you if he can. He hates you to death. It’s foolish
- Lou, how many superheroes have had to ally with villains against another worse villain?
- Many. But I do not know…
- Goodbye. I will call you back
Vic drove out of the motel into the parking lot and got into his special Triumph. It was time to search again.  It was time to go back to find the Wraith. It was time to meet Charlie Manx again

Episode 7 Review (BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH LOW KEY FUCKING UP CHARLIE’S BACKSTORY)
Spoilers, so be ready. Also, this one might be a little longer than my other ones, so just be aware.
This episode was both good and bad, at least for me. Let’s start off with all the bad and get that out of the way:
For starters, Bing’s sudden “I’m so high and moral, I’m so above Charlie, boo hoo he used me” narrative I swear... he’s so annoying. Gtfo with that shit Bing. You’re a rapist literal motherfucker. Charlie uses assholes like you for his benefit and kid’s benefit, then you die in the end, it’s what you deserve. I did love the nod to Dewey Hansom from the book and comic in this episode tho. Dewey was a rapist himself and if I remember correctly, he did stuff to kids, and Charlie made sure he got his in the end too. I guess this attitude Bing had did lead to his eventual downfall, but still... doesn’t mean it isn’t annoying lol.
A question I had, a friend on here had, and I’m sure we all had was: did Charlie get raped by Bing or... what? I mean, at the time, it was implied, based on what Bing said to him which was extremely creepy, but we didn’t know because his body got dragged away like nothing ever happened. Plus, it cut to what happened to him in his childhood around this time (my opinions on his childhood in a moment). The answer is: No, Charlie was not raped by Bing. He was about to be raped by him, but was not. Here is the screenshot from my friend who asked the writer of the episode:
Tumblr media
So no, Charlie was not! Thank God... Of course, hitting him was not good, and what happened to him as a child was not good at all, but this would’ve made things a lot worse both writing wise and in regards to Charlie. Credit to @welcometochristmasland for asking the writer, thank you so much for clarifying this for everyone!
I’m especially relieved by this not just because I’m a Charlie fan girl, but this reason: Charlie getting raped AGAIN in his life, and especially by that fucker, would be so unneeded and stupid. There would be no point to that other than shock value filler. Not to mention, wouldn’t it make things extremely awkward between Vic and Charlie? Despite what’s happening with Wayne, I mean, she was almost raped by Bing herself, and if Charlie actually were in this scenario... that would be pretty awkward between the two, right? I know if I were Vic and I found out about that, I would feel pretty awkward, even if he had my kid, because rape is way too strong a punishment over this. We already know Bing is worse than Charlie, you wouldn’t have to show it through this, and thank God the show did not. I was gonna be real angry over that... of course, there is one thing that unexpectedly made me angry at this episode...
I don’t know what the writers’ problem is with Charlie’s backstory and the women in his life hurting him. They don’t make them saints, but they make them out to be like, “Oh, look at us, we love you and we point out your flaws, and you hurt us.” You know what Charlie’s mother and wife said to him all those years ago according to the comic book that reveals his backstory? They told him how much he drained them of their happiness and youth. No shit Charlie has such a distrust in women! He’s been told by his own mother and first wife, who he broke an arm and a leg for how much just to support the family, that he’s worthless. This leads him to snap! His mom wouldn’t have cared he was raped. She hated him. She told him, when he was forced to sleep in a coffin in the back of the inn and mortuary they lived in, that he belonged in one, so it served him right to sleep in one. Real loving mother of the year, am I right? Again, she still wasn’t a saint in the show, but Charlie going off at her like that was just... WHAT??? NO. And making Charlie groom other kids uknowingly while he’s groomed himself? I really don’t like this, and it’s even worse that Charlie gets more mad at his mom and not so much himself in this situation. He blames himself, but moreso blames his mom. Just... why?
In the comic, the guy who hurt Charlie as a kid was a random guy. He was kicked out of the inn and mortuary for hurting his mom while he was her customer. She points out that maybe a woman doesn’t satisfy him, and boy, is she right, because the fucker follows Charlie as he’s walking up a hill to play with his sled, and rapes Charlie. Charlie gets away, his abilities start to unlock just a bit once his head hits a tree, he kills the rapist, goes back into town, kills his mom, and kills one of the owners of the inn and mortuary (probably because he was trying to stop Charlie, and little boy Charlie has snapped). After this, Charlie leaves and ends up in Kansas. He has little no memory of this.
Now, did the episode show us his mom’s neglectful behavior by leaving her son midway through a little show he was doing to sleep around? Yes. Did they show his abilities unlock after his rape and him killing her? Yes. Did they show him get raped in the first place, and is it still horrible? Yes to both. And I think it was a good change in the show to make the man someone Charlie trusted instead of a random guy (its both equal in how horrible and wrong it is, but the fact it was someone he trusted is even more shocking, I think, but the good kind of shocking, not some cheap useless bullshit).
But similar to Charlie’s backstory with Cassie, the writers seemed to have skimmed through the comic and not understand the point: Not only does sexual assault as a child fuel Charlie’s trauma and pain, but so does the feelings of uselessness he felt from his mother hurting him and his wife hurting him. I get it, you want to make Charlie out to be the big bad, but he already is with the questionable ways he saves kids. His backstory is meant to be the place where you see his softer side, not see more of his bad. You see his softness, but then the show turns around and says, “ReMeMbEr, hE’s StIlL tHe BaD gUy.” We get it, writers! Now can you please stop making him unsympathetic? There is that side of him that people need to understand! That’s what makes his character so genius!
Slightly off topic, but I thought of something briefly: I can’t help but feel the show is maybe doing this not only because they really want to make it out like “Charlie’s so evil and if you like his sad backstory and understand him, you’re just wrong UWU), but maybe it’s also because they don’t want to talk about a male victim of abuse story. Of course, yes, they did it with him being raped as a child, and I’m glad that they still covered the topic of a male victim of sexual abuse, especially sexual child abuse. Showing how awful that is is important, and I think they handled that aspect well. However, Charlie is also a child abuse victim with his mother, and a domestic violence victim with his wife. Why wouldn’t they want to show a child abuse victim, and a domestic violence survivor (and a male one at that!) in a way that is important and well handled too? They didn’t make a PSA out of it, no, and they wouldn’t make PSAs out of the other things either, that’s not what I’m saying. But by showing these things in media, it’s important. It raises awareness of these issues that happen in our world, and who knows, it could help somebody find something to relate to. Think of the movie Kill Bill: the movie brings up people, especially women, getting raped in comas. It’s a problem, it happens to people, and Tarantino brought that up. It wasn’t in a PSA fashion, but he still showed you that something as awful as that could happen and does happen in our world. So what’s the problem, writers? Why couldn’t you explore these things with Charlie? Is it because he is a man, so exploring women hurting men is “wrong?”
Because let me tell you all: If Charles were Charlotte, and she were abused by her father and husband the same way as Charles was in the comic and book, I think the writers would praise this concept. “She has a distrust for men because of how much they hurt her in life! She’s a genius villain!” And don’t get me wrong: Charlotte would be. And men abusing women happens way more often than the other way around, it’s still absolutely wrong, and I would fully support Charlotte as a villain. I wouldn’t like her in that way as I do Charles because I’m straight, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t enjoy Charlotte Manx as a character and love her genius writing. But here comes Charles, a man abused by women... oh no! We can’t discuss that! Why not? What’s this double standard crap?
I’d like to reiterate that this is only a possible theory for why the writers made these choices, not an official reason. I’m not trying to accuse them of pulling a double standard, I’m just throwing that idea out there as a general, “is this why, because you’re not really giving a reason why.” And before anyone twists my words: Abuse of any kind, regardless of sexes involved, is wrong. I think female abuse stories should be told, and I think male abuse stories should be told, both in real life and in the fictional realm. I am a bit disappointed they did not do the full potential and exploration of Charlie’s very tragic backstory that they had in regards to his relationship with his mother and wife.
Now that I’ve let out my ranting, the positives of this episode:
Bing getting bird shit in his mouth in the beginning was hilarious. What happens to him in the end was fabulous. Charlie’s final words to him and how he left him to rot... oh how wonderful it was! And Charlie’s words to Bing throughout this whole episode were just... excellent. Obviously it was hard to watch him get beaten, but he had quite the guts to still try to trick him. His truthful words to Bing that made him stop when he was about to rape him, and his words to Bing after stabbing him were just... I think the best lines Charlie has said out of the whole series so far. His bad assery shines in this episode.
I find it fascinating how Charlie’s fears are outside of Christmasland and locked in that house. Despite all the nonsense with Cassie’s character I’ve discussed before and how she is not the abuser she is in the book and comic, and how important it is to discuss it and portray it, I do like Millie exploring herself. I suppose her mother does kinda have to be involved to help Millie explore herself, so I guess there is something good coming out of this, even if the take away is an aspect of Charlie being ruined and made less sympathetic when it should be.
Wayne and Craig’s interaction is really sweet, I’m glad he’s here and helping him. The comparison between Millie and her mom and Wayne and his dad is really good, I do like that. And Wayne saving Charlie, I was like HELL YES!!!! You’re doing good and you don’t even realize it, kid!
All in all: there was a part I was about to hate in this episode that was confirmed to not be there by the writer of it (Thank God), there was something I actually do hate about this episode, and then there are a few things I love about this episode. It was definitely interesting. You feel horrible for Charlie, you hate Bing even more, you feel glad he gets what he deserves, and the exploration with Millie and Wayne is good. If you’re like me and you really want Charlie’s backstory to be as it was in book form in regards to his relationship with his mother (and with his wife, quite a few episodes before) because it makes more sense, allows better exploration of concepts in our real world, and allows you to understand Charlie better, you won’t like his backstory entirely even as he was a kid. But if you can look past all that, there’s really no sour taste that will be left in your mouth, except for pity for Charlie (but most of us, if not all of us, feel that for him, that’s obvious, it’s horrible what happened to him).
Sorry this one was very long, thank you for reading till the end if you have! I hope you enjoyed it!

Love Victor Season 2, Part 1
“Mom… Dad… I’m gay.” Victor says, truly exhaling for the first time since he kissed Benji in that motel room in Willacoochee.
Coming out right now probably wasn’t the best thing to do, especially after his parents announced that they were separating.
After Victor says the two words that change him in his family’s eyes forever, his mom stops talking to him. His dad hugs him, and says "Thank you for telling us hijo. I love you no matter what. I don't really care about grandchildren anyway."
Armando notices the visible disgust on Isabel's face and tells him to leave, just for now while his mom gets her shit together and learns that Victor is still Victor. Before leaving, Victor goes to his room and packs some clothes, his laptop, his iPad, and his phone charger. He’s sure to grab the fleece-lined denim jacket Simon gave him. As he packs, he hears a knock on his bedroom door. Pilar walks in and tells him she's sorry. She's sorry for not believing him when he said that he wasn't a cheater and that he never meant to hurt Mia. After Pilar leaves, he grabs his backpack, so that he has his stuff for school on Monday. His dad was okay with it but wanted to protect his feelings, in case his mom said something mean.
Subject: Coming Out
Simon-
You were right. I can’t control how people react when I tell the truth. Tonight was far from the perfect night for anybody. There were times when it was perfect, and times when it sucked.
I did it. I came out to my parents and sister. Mia knows. She was so angry with me, and I can say with almost certainty that she hates me now. She found out in the worst way possible: She saw Benji and I kissing in the courtyard :(
My mother isn’t talking to me and my father told me to stay with a friend until my mother figures out how to get her shit together.
In other news, Benji!!! HE BROKE UP WITH DERECK :) That’s probably the highlight of my night. He told me that he wants to be with someone who makes him feel like he can be himself, and that's enough. Then he said “That's how you make me feel, Victor”, and then we kissed.
I’m supposed to call him tomorrow, but I think I might ask to stay with him because  I have never been to Felix’s place, and so I don’t think that I can stay there, so Benji it is.
On top of everything, right before I came out, my parents announced that they were separating, so YAY -_-
Love, Victor
Victor leaves, and the first person he calls is Benji. When Benji picks up the phone, Victor starts crying. “Hey, what's up, why are you crying?,” Benji asks, “Are you okay?”
“Hey. I know I said I would call tomorrow, but I just came out, and my mom won’t talk to me, and my dad told me that I should leave for a while to stay away from my mom. Pilar is mad at me for being dishonest to Mia, and Adrian has no idea what's going on. Before you, I had only come out Simon. I’m considering going to his place because I can’t go to Felix’s and I’m just so scared." Victor replies breathlessly in between sobs.
"Victor, I know you don't owe me anything at all, but I thought that I was pretty clear about the fact that I wanted an exclusive relationship. I also know that we aren't even official yet, and this is probably really stupid.”
Victor begins laughing, and right now, it is kind of a half-laugh, half-sob.
“What's so funny?" Benji asks
“I'm not with Simon. He's my friend, and he has a boyfriend. I went to visit them in New York after the trip to Willacoochee and it was possibly the best weekend of my life. It helped me come to terms with the fact that I am gay. He also happens to be in college, and I only have eyes for one cute boy. You might know him. His name is Benji Campbell."
"Oh really? Tell me more about this Benji fellow." Benji replies flirtatiously
“Well, he has this hair that you could just run your fingers through all day. These lips that you could kiss forever. He has really nice biceps and triceps and he is the nicest boy you will ever meet. He makes me want to stop time just to talk and kiss and cuddle. He sings, and oh my god his voice could come from an angel. He plays guitar, too. He once drew a picture of me that I keep with me at all times. This picture makes me wonder what other hidden qualities he has. He is sweet, and just a wonderful person all together. He's a romantic, he's funny, and his smile could light up a room. When I look into his eyes, I feel like I could drown because I never want to look away. He has tight t-shirts and a stupid smile.”
"Well I know this one boy who's kisses could change someone's life. He makes me happy on the worst nights ever and makes me  wonder if I was living before I met him." Benji replies with a smile you could hear.
"Benji, how did I ever get so lucky to wind up in the arms of someone as amazing as you? I called you because you make everything better, and you just light up my life. Oh, and about Simon, it's Simon Spier, the one who rode the ferris wheel until his secret email pen-pal came to him. He and the same boy, Bram, live together in New York with some really awesome roommates.
“Holy shit Victor. That's awesome that you know Creekwood's gay legend. I’m going to walk to your place, and you can come stay at mine, okay?”
“Okay”
When Benji arrives at Victor’s building, Victor is happy and relieved to see him. Victor stands up and Benji wraps him in a tight hug, kissing him on the cheek and stroking Victor’s hair. The first place they walk to is Brasstown, because they need coffee. They make latte art meatballs. “So ugly, but so delicious.” Victor says with a laugh.
“Are you going to make fun of me forever for that?,”Benji says
“I’m not making fun of you, just joking because it's true.”
At this Benji kisses Victor sweetly on the lips, making both boys smile.
“See, you know how to make my day better.” Victor says
Ding ding
“Who’s that”
“Probably Simon. I emailed him before I called you, so he’s probably replying to that.”
Subject: Re: Coming Out
Wow! I’m so proud of you Vic, for coming out. You are so brave! Bram says he is really happy that you came out, and finally said those two words. Not long after I came out to my family, my mom, who is a therapist, said to me “You get to exhale now, Simon. You get to be more you than you have been in... in a very long time. You deserve everything you want.” Now I’ll say the same thing to you, Victor. You can exhale now, you can be you.
I’m so sorry to hear about your parents separating.
On the other hand, I’m sorry that your mom reacted the way that she did. I do think your dad is trying to protect you, and I kind of agree with him, but maybe he should have spoken differently.
BENJI!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH! YAY. He broke up with his boyfriend for you! Now that says something
(A message from Bram.)
Now tell me… What’s the latest with you boys, because I assume he’s with you as you read this. ;)
Love, Simon
“Is that my name? Does Simon Speir know who I am?” Benji asks
“Oh he knows all about you. How you wear tight t-shirts and have a stupid smile. He knows that I was both sad and happy when I found out you had a boyfriend because it took you off the table, and I really liked you, even then. How I kissed you in the motel room. How we kissed last night.”
Benji blushes at this entire speech, because now he knows that Victor liked him, even in the beginning.  “Is my smile really stupid?”
“Yes, but in a cute way!” Victor says, a huge grin plastered on his face.
Victor leans down and gives Benji a soft kiss on the lips. “What are we? We both admitted we have feelings for each other and we keep kissing, but we haven’t discussed us yet, if there even is an us.” Victor asks Benji.
“I don’t know. I’m all in if you are.” Benji replies.
“All in, like boyfriend?”
“If that’s what you want”
“That's what I want”
They stand there kissing for almost ten minutes, but ten minutes was the difference between night and morning. Sarah walks in and sees them kissing. “Seriously? No canoodling by the coffee maker!” She yells, and the two boys break apart.
“It’s already morning?” Victor asks, and looks at Benji, adding “I don’t have any of my work t-shirts.”
“Hey Sarah, can we go to get our shirts, we’ve been here all night?” Benji asks, realizing that they were both still in their suits from the night before.
“Whatever, you have fifteen minutes before your shifts start.Take my car. Come back ASAP!” Sarah replies with an eye role.
Victor drives to Benji’s house, following the directions Benji was giving him, and he realizes that he has never seen Benji’s house before. “You have a really nice house. Very home-y.” Victor says
“Oh thanks. My room’s back here. You can leave your bags on my bed and I’ll get you a shirt.” Benji says, noticing Victor is staring at him, and  adds, smiling, “What are you staring at?”
“My cute boyfriend with the stupidest cute smile.”
At this Benji smiles and kisses Victor. “We need to get ready for work.”
“Ugh, fine.” Victor says
After getting dressed Benji goes to his kitchen to make them some breakfast. For breakfast, they have egg sandwiches. They leave to go to work, which is surprisingly busy for a Saturday morning. “I just wanna kiss my boyfriend!” Victor says, groaning.
“Hmmm, who is this mystery man you’re talking about?” Benji replies with a smirk.
Victor stands up straight and then leans down to kiss Benji. “What did I say about canoodling by the coffee machine?” Sarah yells at the two boys from the back room.
They separate, frowning, and get back to work. The boys are just happy to be together finally, after months of crushing on each other. “You know that weekend that I disappeared? The one after I kissed you the first time?” Victor says
“Yeah”
“I wasn’t with my dad on some ‘Boys’ trip’. I was in New York, visiting Simon Spier and his boyfriend and their roommates. We went to this gay bar, and it was truly the best night of my life. I went on stage at this drag show, and I was super nervous, but I was so happy.”
“Woah”
“And that denim jacket used to belong to Simon.”
“Well shit.”
Dereck walks in the store angrily and yells at Benji "You sure move on fast!"
"Leave my boyfriend alone. He didn't do anything wrong. You aren't in a relationship with him and if he wants to be with someone other than you, then that's his choice. You don't get to burst into our lives yelling at us because he broke up with you. You didn't appreciate him or all of the cute, romantic, things he did for you and you made him anxious. He was scared to be himself around you and obviously you couldn't tell how amazing he is the person he really is." Victor yells at Dereck.
"Vic, babe, calm down. He's just being a dick because I broke up with him. He doesn't deserve our time." Benji says calmly to Victor while trying not to smile or grab his face and kiss him.
All of his resistance just wasn't enough, and Benji wraps his arms around his beautiful boyfriend's neck and kisses him. Dereck rolls his eyes and says threateningly "This isn't over. I will be back, and both of you will regret this."
Victor and Benji are nervous about Dereck's threat, but they don't let that hold them back. But then when Victor turns his phone back on, he sees a text Felix sent at 3 AM telling him to check the Tumblr.

Chapter 21
“It’s getting darker and I’m starting to get anxious.”
---
Life has been weird lately.
I guess that’s what every angsty teenager says when things aren’t going as planned, but I actually mean it. Life’s been weird.
It’s been a couple days since I had dinner at Vic’s. That whole “longing look” thing at the end of the night caught me by surprise, but I managed to convince myself that I was seeing or imagining things. Vic wasn’t gay or bi. Even if he was, why would he be looking at me?
Now, before you start, I’m not the kind of “I’m not pretty/smart/cool enough for the popular kid.“ No, I’m more of the “I’m a really introverted, why the hell would a popular extrovert want to hang out with or even date a kid who’d rather read at home than go anywhere? I’m just being rational” type. Just putting that out there.
Aside from all of that, there were weird things happening at home, as usual. We’d finally heard from Rick, but it wasn’t in the best way.
The night after I had dinner at Vic’s Mom got a threatening text message. She didn’t want me to read it, but me being the sneaky and rebellious bitch I am, I took the liberty to see what made the color drain from her face when she looked at her phone.
God, I wish I hadn’t.
Rick has sent my mom a message saying he’d gotten lawyers and that he was gonna sue her for deformation of character. Apparently, he’d lost his job and he believes it was Mom’s fault. That she said something to his boss and that’s why he fired him. I’m pretty sure it was because of Rick’s drinking. I’m convinced he showed up to work drunk and his boss didn’t like it. Either way, I know my mom didn’t do anything.
Then he said he was going to take legal action against me for the “fight” that happened when he was drunk. The “fight” that was him trying to attack my mom then me stepping in and getting my ass kicked by his drunk ass.
He said that I’d attacked him first then lunged at him when he was defenseless and threatened to kill him. While I secretly wish I’d done that, I know that that is out of character for me. Yes, I did get his attention away from Mom by provoking him, but that’s the extent of it. If anything, I should be suing him.
Unfortunately, we don’t have money so…
I sat at my group’s usual table in the cafeteria and held my head in my hands. It was lunchtime, but somehow I was the first one at our table. Maybe it was because I beelined to the spot immediately after my teacher dismissed the class.
I was so out of it. After reading through those messages I hadn’t been able to process much of anything. The same three thoughts kept running through my mind:
You’re getting sued.
No one can help.
You’re all alone in this.
Sure, I wasn’t frightened by these thoughts, but when obsessive thoughts get into your mind, they become frightening all at once.
What’s even more frightening is that I didn’t have anyone to vent to. Mom didn’t know I knew what Rick said, and I couldn’t talk to my friends at school. Family matters such as this one were way too personal to share with people you’ve only known a few months and only hung out with once after school.
Damn, did I convince myself that I need therapy? Probably. Fuck.
I laid my head down on the table and covered it with my arms. Maybe if I could go unnoticed these problems would go away?
No, I know, but it was a nice thought.
“Kells?” I jumped slightly. I hadn’t heard someone walk up. “Kellin?” I hummed in response. “You good?” A lower hum left my throat.
“Wanna talk about it?”
I sighed. “Sure,” I said from inside my arms.
“C’mon, I know a place we can go.” I listened for footsteps walking away from me before I lifted my head. Still, to my surprise, my friends weren’t at the table. Maybe they were in the lunch line. Oh well.
I looked up at the cafeteria doors to see Vic giving me an expectant look. I sighed and stood. I couldn’t back out of talking to him now that I said I’d go with him. Besides, I needed to vent to someone.
I followed Vic out of the cafeteria then out of the school. “Where are we going?” I asked, slightly worried.
“Chill, I’m not gonna kill you, promise.”
“If you weren’t gonna do it then you wouldn’t have said ‘promise’. That means you’re lying.”
“What are you, a psychologist?” he asked with a chuckle.
“Ask all the questions you want; you didn’t deny it.”
I looked to Vic to see his face fall. “Shut up, nerd.” I couldn’t help the snort that left my nose. Vic looked at me for a second with a smirk before he returned his attention to the secret location he was leading us to.
We went past the parking lot to the wooded area next to the school. Vic moved some fallen branches out of the way and held the clearing open for me to walk through. He followed after me.
“We’re close, c’mon.”
He took the lead again and walked about three yards forward before stopping near a small creek.
“Wow,” I whispered in awe. “I didn’t expect to see this here.”
“Yeah, no one does. You’ve gotta know the right turns to get here. I think I’m one of a handful of people who’ve been able to come back here more than once.”
I nodded to show I was listening then went back to looking around. There was nothing but trees surrounding us. The sun was shining through the many branches. The gentle sound of the water flowing just a few feet away from us put my mind at ease.
Vic walked over to a big rock and sat down. He noticed me looking at him and patted the open spot next to him. I obliged and sat next to him.
“Alright, we’re alone, it’s quiet. Talk.”
I sighed, knowing that when I started I’d continue until everything was out. I had to brace myself.
“I can’t just start like that.”
He nodded, as if he understood. “What’s on your mind?”
I smiled very slightly. He did understand; he prompted me like I needed.
“There’s…a lot of stuff going on at home.”
“Like?”
I chewed on my lip. I couldn’t go into too much detail, but I also didn’t know where to start. How much about the situation should I tell him? Should he know that Rick and I got physical? Should he know that that’s why I came to school looking fucked up? Should he-
I was brought out of my thoughts by a deep, heavy sigh from the person sitting next to me. I refocused and looked at him just as his eyes moved from my lips to my eyes.
I ignored that and spoke. “My stepdad’s a dick.”
That started the conversation with Vic Fuentes that lasted our entire lunch period. I told him about how Rick was a pretty good stepdad up until a few weeks ago. I told him about how his drinking had gotten bad and how Mom kicked him out. I left out the physical altercation but did tell him that he had threatened legal action about getting kicked out of the house. Vic listened and hardly intervened unless it was to ask clarifying questions. He really did just let me vent.
By the time lunch was over I felt like a weight had been lifted off my chest, like I could breathe again. I stole a glance at Vic as he brushed off his pants. I had him to thank for this good feeling.
Vic and I didn’t talk as we walked back on campus. It felt as if everything I needed to say was said and he didn’t really know what to say. I was worried that I’d expressed too much but a reassuring smile from him put my mind at ease.
“Vic?” I started before we walked through the doors of the school.
“Hm?”
“Just, thanks for listening. It felt good to tell someone that stuff.”
“Don’t mention it Quinn. I’m happy to help.” He gave me a warm smile that made me swoon.
Or maybe that was the fact that I hadn’t eaten all day.
My stomach growled loudly, giving my thoughts away. I chucked nervously.
“I guess I should’ve let you have lunch before I brought you out here, huh?” Vic asked with the same nervous chuckle. I shrugged.
“I shouldn’t have kept us out here the whole time. That’s kinda on me.”
“Well, either way, what’s done is done.” I nodded. I was still hungry though.
“I wish lunch wasn’t done. Actually, I wish I’d had breakfast.”
Vic bit his bottom lip in thought. His eyes were on me but also clouded with…confusion? Uncertainty? Maybe both, but also some anxiety.
I was about to ask what was on his mind when he spoke.
“How about we get some food sometime after school today?”
I thought about it. I did need food and even though there was stuff at home, I didn’t really want to eat alone while Mom was at work.
“Sure,” I answered. “Where are we meeting?”
“Actually…,” he hesitated, “I was thinking I’d pick you up.”
I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. “You wanna pick me up? You don’t want to get food right after school?”
He blew out a breath. “Yeah, I’ll pick you up from your house after school. We’ll get dinner.” I frowned. I wanted to eat sooner than dinnertime.
Vic sighed. “Look, this was all a very failed attempt to…” He paused, squeezed his eyes, and sighed again. “This was an attempt to ask you out,” he mumbled.
I stood frozen with my mouth open in shock.
“Please don’t look at me like that,” Vic said, sounding defeated. “At least let me ask properly before you reject me. Kellin, will you go on a date with me tonight?”
I blinked a few times I regain composure. I debated pinching myself but that would’ve made him feel worse than he already did.
Did Vic Fuentes really just ask me out on a date? Me? Kellin Quinn, the guy he threatened the first day he saw me. The guy who he constantly pesters. Honestly, what did he see in me? Was this a joke? I thought Vic was straight.
Guess that goes to show that you can’t assume people’s sexuality.
I looked at the guy standing in front of me. Since I hadn’t replied he was looking down at his shoes. He did look very nervous. It was cute.
I smiled at the boy before me. He lifted his head; he might’ve felt my eyes on him. “Yes,” I answered, “I’d love to go out with you tonight.”
Vic’s eyes lit up significantly at my response. He smiled that winning smile while he spoke to me. “Great! I’ll pick you up at 7:00?”
“Sounds good,” I said with a nod.
“Cool.”
We walked back into the school and went our separate ways to our classes with smiles on our faces.
I was going on a date with Vic.
Wait, that meant…
How did Vic know I was gay?

The Sun Shone So Brightly Chapter 1: The Birth of the Twins
Being born in the hospital, held in her mother’s arms, next to the warm lump of her twin brother, the baby girl cooed lazily at her mother as her brother slept. She reached her red chubby hands towards her mother, making the universal ‘gimme-gimme’ gesture with grabby hand motions. Her mother made a nervous look towards her father, who just laughed a little, also nervous. He was obviously out of his element.
“I dunno, Vic, seems like she- it’s the girl right?” Victoria Summers, the mother of the two babies shrugged helplessly and handed the sleeping baby towards Dmitri Phenton, the father of the two babies. Dmitri looked a little lost holding the baby tightly, probably too tightly, against his chest. The baby boy then woke up, and with the biggest, deepest, dark blue eyes he gazed with wonder into his father’s deep brown eyes.
Dmitri immediately fell in love with the boy, no matter how much he had not wanted kids, especially with his job. He loosened his tight hold against the baby, shifted him, and held him so that the baby boy’s fists gripped his shirt lightly.
“I have the girl.” Victoria said and her finger was soon caught in her daughter’s baby-tight grip. Victoria felt very awkward as she gently prodded with her other fingers to give the baby girl the idea to let go without making her seem heartless. Dmitri soon leaned down and with a question in his eyes, to which Victoria nodded with a slightly manic look in her eyes. Dmitri then leaned down, and picked up the baby girl. She was so fragile in his arms, and her eyes matched the same intense stare of her brother. He instantly fell in love again, and a soft smile graced his face, brown eyes twinkling.
“We should name them.” He said with a soft voice, and Victoria looked a little panicked again, but nodded nonetheless.
“I think… Markus. Markus Summers.” He looked at Victoria with a gentle gleam in his eye. “Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?”
"I think they should take your last name…" Victoria mumbled, gripping the bedsheets with white, delicate fingers. Dmitri looked at the teenage mother with a look of pity, but sympathy.
Victoria Summers had been one of Dmitri's clients for his job. She was lonely, desperate for a connection or the feeling of another human's touch. So she called her friend, which was Dmitri. She had known what his job was, and asked for his business.
That night, they laid in bed together. A mess of hands, moans, and sweat. There was no love besides friendship and a business worker and a client between them. Victoria hadn't been very good about using her birth control, and the condom broke when the transaction completed. Dmitri and Victoria looked at each other in fear when he had pulled out, condom torn right at the top.
"But…" Victoria had trailed off, her eyes wide and her breathing quick with panic. This wasn't how the night was supposed to end! She was supposed to be feeling better now, she had touched another and he touched her! She was supposed to be better now, not panicking that she has the chance of- of having a baby.
"Shh, shh, Victoria it's alright, shh…" Dmitri held her naked body in his arms as he laid down, trying to comfort her. He was also panicking. He was 16! How was he supposed to be a father, if the pregnancy did turn out to be. But nonetheless, he held the panicking girl in his arms.
"It'll probably be fine, Vic. It takes some people multiple tries to get pregnant. Don't worry…" Victoria was a sniffling mess in his arms, hands pressed into her eyes. Dmitri simply sat there, holding the girl tightly and whispering sweet nothings to her.
A few weeks later, Dmitri got the call.
"I- we're having twins." Victoria sounded so broken over the phone, but Dmitri had dropped the phone, barely hearing Victoria's panicked mumbling as he knelt towards the ground, his eyes wide and heart beating so fast it seemed to hurt.
"Twins? I- how- how am I supposed to take care of two babies, two kids?" Dmitri said quietly, spoken to nothing but the open air. His mother, Teresa, didn't know about his job, neither did his father, William. How was he going to hide two babies from them? He couldn't leave Victoria alone in this!
Victoria! Dmitri was broken from his thoughts when he scrambled to pick up the phone, and saw that the call was still going on.
"Dmitri? Oh my God, Dmitri! I can't do this by myself, you've gotta answer me! Dmitri!" Her words were nothing more than broken sobs at this point. Dmitri held the phone gently in his grip against his ears.
"Shh, Vic, I'm here." He said quietly into the phone, to which Victoria ugly sobbed into the phone. "I'm sorry, I was just surprised." Dmitri paused for a moment, thinking and said as gently as he could, "What about an abortion…?"
"Y-you need a parent's permission to have one. My mother is very against abortions. She, um, thinks that people who do them a-are monsters. Oh God, Dmitri. What are we going to do?! I… I…" Dmitri could hear her quick breaths even through the muffling of the phone.
"Calm down, Vic. We'll figure it out, don't worry." Dmitri had no clue what to do. He was at a loss.
A few months later, he finally told his mom about his predicament. She wasn't understanding, per se, but she sat him down gently and said with the softest tone that she'd ever had, a gentle kind of sadness gleaming in her deep blue eyes. Much like how his future daughter's eyes will look.
"I will help you, Dmitri, but you must know that I cannot condone your actions of being…" She trailed off and Dmitri put a hand on her knee, she took a deep breath and continued.  "I cannot condone your actions of being a prostitute. You see now how this gets you into trouble, yes?" Dmitri nodded slightly and bowed his head, ashamed. He felt his mother’s gentle hands cup his cheeks and she kissed his forehead.
Months and months later, there they were; the two teenage parents who had two bundles of twins held in each of their father’s arms.
“Yeah… Markus Phenton also sounds pretty nice, don’t you think, Vic?” His brown eyes gazed into Victoria’s and she bowed her head a little in shame, but she smiled sadly at the father. Dmitri then looked at his daughter and looked back to Victoria, a soft smile playing its way onto his face.
“Why don’t you name her?” He shifted the baby girl in his arms and laid her gently in her mother’s lap. Victoria looked into the wide, beautiful eyes of the baby girl. They were filled with so much emotion, as if Victoria was the entire universe laid out on a platter for the baby girl to see. It was almost too much for Victoria to handle. She felt a sudden tug at her heart and she knew what her name should be.
“Elizabeth. H-her name is Elizabeth.” Victoria mumbled out and a huge smile graced its presence on Dmitri’s face.
“Lizzy Phenton, huh?” He leaned down and picked Lizzy up, to which she immediately gripped his shirt with her tiny hands. He felt so much love for these two babies in his arms.
He was going to make sure that they had the best childhood a kid could ask for.

BIOGRAPHY
victoire apolline weasley - though you may know her as a number of monikers: blonde weasley, curse-breaking milf, mom friend™, whatever. she’s the eldest weasley cousin, part-veela, a mother, and yes she is a natural blonde. these are often the defining characteristics she is known by, but there’s a lot more than meets the eye.
born on may 2nd, 1997, almost two years after the fateful tri-wizard tournament where voldemort was defeated “once and for all”, she is the first child born to bill weasley and beauxbatons champion fleur delacour. the first of her generation; hers was a charmed childhood, only made more exciting by the arrival of two siblings and many cousins. seeing as she was older than most of them by a handful of years, victoire became somewhat of a “babysitter” for the family. she spent most of her formative years running after younger weasley-potters, patching up scrapes and kissing bruises as well as diffusing tense situations. from an early age she just naturally took on the role of “mom” among her social groups, the nurturing tendencies carry on even to her hogwarts years where her friends often teased her for being so overprotective of them and “babying” them.
at hogwarts she was sorted into hufflepuff - the first of her family to not be a gryffindor much to the changrin of several of her family members. while the hat had debated between the two houses, it was ultimately the pragmatic and sensible nature of the girl that lead her to being placed among the badgers. this turned out to be best suited to her traits. victoire’s easy going youth lead to her being soft and gentle but also incredibly empathetic and warm. aside from being the aforementioned “mom friend”, she was basically the poster child for hufflepuff - being dutiful, hard-working, trustworthy, loyal and fair. the one “weasley trait” that followed her was a deep love for quidditch, being a beater for the house team for a few years. but her true loves had been herbology, history of magic and charms; the girl spending most of her days studying old textbooks, hanging around the greenhouse, or learning new charms to advance her abilities.
due to a studious nature, she was usually in the favor of her professors and hadn’t found herself in detention like many of her family members might have. it was for this reason she was chosen as a prefect during her latter years, and head girl her seventh. she was responsible and organized in comparison to most of her peers, and actually took pride in being a role model. a side effect of being the oldest in her family - there were always eyes on her and victoire wanted to live up to their expectations.
following school, it was of little surprise when she announced she would be a curse-breaker in training under her father’s tutelage. she possessed much of her father’s qualities - she was an academic achiever as well as laid back in nature, while still managing to be serious when necessary. as a child she was a daddy’s girl and had a very keen interest in bill’s occupation. she used to pretend she was a curse-breaker, "disabling” curses and jinxes on teddy bears and various odd objects throughout the house. so when it came time to take her NEWT level classes, she made sure to structure her schedule around what classes would help her become a successful curse-breaker. it was a thrilling and adventure-filled career path, but her time with gringott’s would only last a few years before she opted to be an “independently contracted curse-breaker” - a choice made in order to continue the work she loved while being a single parent with full custody of her child.
before she began her apprenticeship, victoire spent the summer holiday after her seventh year in france with relatives. despite her claims she would come back “still very much the same victoire” the girl had returned from holiday a very different woman - a married one, actually. hardly one to make rash decisions, it was a shock to hear that after just four weeks of courtship victoire had married a beauxbatons alum she’d met while touring the french riviera. much of the family was opposed to the union, but victoire swore that she was happy and it was meant to be - and for a while that was true.
it turned into a tumultuous affair and would last all of four years before the ill-suited pair would inevitably call it quits - an embarrassing fact considering how adamant she had been that their love was “real” and that it would “work out just fine”. it turned out over time that the two were not exactly suitable and wanted very different things. for one, he wanted to live in france while victoire wanted to stay near her family in england. the only complication left after the marriage was a child that neither had originally planned for - a little girl named amélie whom victoire has full custody of. now her trips to france - via portkey every other weekend - are begrudgingly made in order to allow their daughter time to stay with her father, with whom she has remained (or has tried to remain) amicable and civil despite how poorly the relationship ended.
these days victoire is hardly around. contracted with many independent buyers and sellers of magical antiques and the like, the woman travels across the wizarding world in order to acquire such objects and to reverse whatever hexes have been placed on them as security measures. it’s become harder to balance this job with raising a child, and as such has made her home base in the UK in order to receive the support from her family. she was away on such trips when things began to escalate back home and has since taken on less jobs and has been spending more time in london and close to her relatives during what feels like the return of dark times.
joining the reinstated order of phoenix, victoire is at war with the impending fight. the young woman isn’t too eager to be part of another wizarding war. a little bit of a pacifist, victoire just wants to see a happy future again. having a young child, and seeing the aftereffects of her uncle’s death on his family, makes her worried to put herself in a position where she will no longer be able to take care of amelie. but she also knows that it is up to the order to put an end to the death eaters once and for all - choosing to ultimate put herself in harms way in order to make sure her daughter gets to grow in a safe and happy world like she herself did.
tbh i’ll probably be editing this as i go along.

WANTED CONNECTIONS
THE SCHOOL FRIENDS (2) - a couple fellow hogwarts alums who would have attended at the same time as victoire, they have remained close friends since leaving school and regularly meet up for drinks and to catch up and reminisce. they are hufflepuffs and have their own trio kind of like harry/ron/hermione. bonus points if one is a death eater, 1/2 taken
THE RIVAL - a fellow curse-breaker or someone from victoire’s youth who she has never seen eye to eye with. perhaps its because of opposing ideals, a dislike for the weasley-potter family or whatever petty reason - these two just don’t get along and are constantly butting heads. bonus points for being rivals in the curse-breaking field, open
THE EX - self explanatory; victoire’s ex-husband and the father of her daughter. this is not meant to be a romantic connection. they weren’t very well suited for each other and instead insist upon being civil and amiable for the sake of their daughter. is french/a beauxbatons alumni and would be newly arrived in britain should you take up this role, npc
tbh i’m really bad at these; just hmu and we can brainstorm afheahpfieaihfeiafpieafea

Years and years later, I finally watched the English dub of Digimon Tri!
I thought only the first movie got dubbed but looks like it’s all 6. Not that I plan to watch them because I’m definitely not digging the dub of Saikai X’D
I mean, to be fair, Saikai isn’t the best of the Tri movies. Althought I now like it a lot, I remember when it first came out how many of us were quite confused and disappointed by it - it moves quite slowly, the animation is okay but clearly low budget, it just lacks the usual showmanship and flair of a story opener meant to hook people in for 5 more movies. As a Digimon fan, and in particular as a Taichi fan, I appreciate the hell out it, but I hate that I can’t defend it to the death the way I’d like to. It gives absolutely essential Taichi scenes and reintroduces each of the characters in ways that, while maybe not Hollywood-worthy, at least felt familiar and true to each one. For me, Saikai gets good once Kuwagamon appears at the soccer game, and gets really good at Haneda. Just gotta make it through the slow beginning.
Anyway, back to the dub itself. What did I like? I liked JOSHUA SETH. I loved his voice as a kid. Even before I was a Taichi fan (because I was a Takeru fan as a child, and even found Taichi a bit annoying!), his voice was my favorite in the US dub cast. I was over the moon when I heard they got him for Tri and it was the sole reason I wanted to try watching the dub. Also super happy about Izzy’s voice actress too, who I also always loved. (side note, I was watching with a friend, and when Agumon spoke he immediately said “hey its mickey mouse”).
Vic Migogna’s Matt wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. It’s just so weird to me that his voice gets *higher* as he grows older xP but actually Vic Mignogna seems to have reined it in a bit and it wasn’t as glaring a change as I was dreading. Still not my first pic for Matt, but whatever.
Joe’s voice is completely different, but it jives with Tri’s “Joe is hot” take, so I’m down. TK’s voice is also fine although almost indistinguishable from Matt’s.
Where it goes wonky is, as usual, the girls’ voices. I actually really liked Meiko’s. It’s been so many years that even though some of them are the same, they don’t sound the same at all. Sora has the same voice actress but she sounds completely different. Mimi, too, really sounds her age, and no surprise, given that she’s a woman in her 60s pretending to be 16 xD But she still sounds peppy and bubbly so that’s good. The big disappointment for me was Kari. On my list of favorite voices in the US dub, Kari probably came right after Taichi for me, so I was sad they had to get a new voice actress for her. Would have been okay if the voice had suited her, but it doesn’t. Her new voice actress, combined with the sarcastic vein the dub insists on giving her, turn her into a totally different character. I kept thinking she sounds like one of those loud yelly girl characters who push the boys around like what’s her face on Hey Arnold. So that was the one big casting issue for me.
Lastly, Nishijima and Himekawa. Himekawa’s voice is fine. Wouldn’t have minded something a little less standard for her but it’s ok. Nishijima’s voice is good, just WRONG. He’s a laid-back man with a lot of life regrets trying to just get by day by day and live a useful, semi-happy life. Yes, he works for a secret government agency, but he also wears crocs and big ugly T-shirts to his cover job as a calligraphy teacher. He shouldn’t sound like Nick Fury!!! What the friiiiick
and you know what else, as happy as I am that they got so much of the old cast back, I don’t know what it is, but all of the voices sound way too similar. I mistook TK for Matt and Joe for Taichi and Matt for Taichi and Mimi for Sora and Hikari, like, constantly. xP They’re all different voices but they sound just similar enough for it to be kind of lacking in contrast. At least Izzy’s voice is unmistakable.
Then there’s the dub itself, which is a true homage to the US dub of Adventure in that 1) it inserts bad jokes where none are needed, 2) it fills dramatic silences with useless/repetitive information, and 3) use way too many words (not much you can do what with the difficulties in transation but). I like the Adventure dub, I always thought it was funny, but it definitely ate up a fair bit of character stuff with its jokes and lack of harmony with the source material. Tri is like that only the jokes aren’t as funny and the disharmony is magnified by the strangeness of the characters’ voices coupled with their weird dialogue.
And a lot of that dialogue is just so pointed! Yamato’s so nasty to Taichi with less obvious reason! In the soccer match vs live concert scene, Sora’s not just panicked and annoyed, she’s mouthing off! Even Hikari’s poking fun (tho to be fair she does come across much more like a real little sis, ehehe).
Then there’s my favorite bit... when Omnimon’s about to shoot Alphamon, Taichi’s really into the battle now, but then he suddenly remembers how much damage they’re causing and loses his motivation, and the attack shrinks as a result. In the original, Taichi doesn’t say anything, just makes faces that show what he’s thinking. It’s a bit awkward but works. In the dub? While he’s excited, he shouts “YEAH!” and then, seconds later, “UH-OH!” That uh-oh!! killed me. It sounded like Scooby-Doo. Like “Oops, my mom will totally ground me for this!” Come on, dub X’D
It’s of course possible that the other dubbed movies that apparently exist are done much better, but I’m afraid I have no interest in watching them. Will only happen if my friend says he wants to. I’m more than happy with the subbed version.
And to be completely fair. I’ve lived in Japan for several years now and I don’t struggle to use or understand Japanese on a daily basis. But it’s still not my first language, and that creates a buffer when I watch things in Japanese with subs versus when I see them in English. It’s to be expected I’m going to be harder on my native language because the faults are naturally going to be more glaring, whereas they’re easier to forgive or go completely unnoticed with languages I’m not programmed with from birth. So I’ll end by saying, it’s not like Saikai the original was perfect in any way - it also has its points of stilted dialogue, and there were many a time over the 6 movies that we fans were confused by awkward transitions etc. I still find it infinitely preferable.
My biggest and final beef with this movie is just that it’s no good for casual or non-Digimon fans. That we always knew and it didn’t bother me before, but having watched the dub it now feels so much like shooting yourself in your own foot. Le sigh. I wasn’t looking to land oodles of new fans or anything, I just would have liked to be able to show it to friends and have them at least say “seems cool!” instead of “lol”

Poly Bowers Gang HC’s
o lookie lookie
Belch (I prefer calling him Reg or Reggie to Belch tbh)-
·         I see Reggie as more of the enforcer within their group dynamic.
·         The other guys can get kind of carried away and he’s the first to tell them to leave you the hell alone if he thinks they’re making you uncomfortable
·         After a thorough fucking he’s the one who’d gently kiss your temple and tell you how good you were
·         He always lets you sit in the front seat and glares over his shoulder at the others when they whine about it. As far as he’s concerned, it’s HIS car and you deserve the front seat, dammit. (He actually just wants to watch the sun hit your face and keep you away from Patrick)
·         The other guys give him hell because he’s so sweet on you but he just can’t help how much he adores you awe
·         The others laugh because you would never call him Belch and he blushes every time you call him Reggie
·         He’s the one you’d call after all your best friends stood you up for your girls-night-in sleepover plans. He’d hear your disappointed voice and the sniffles and sigh. He shows up at your house 20 minutes later with the fuckboy squad in toe.
·         You ask if he’d do a face mask with you and he looks panicked as fuck
·         But the second you hit him with those lovey eyes, he relents
·         The other guys sit around and snicker as you apply cerulean goo to his face but he couldn’t care less because the smile on your lips is everything to him tbh.
·         Henry tells him he’s such a girl, and Belch hits him with some “a real man would do anything to put a smile on his girl’s face” shit and Henry just slinks tf away
·         He drives you to school every day, and sometimes when your parents aren’t home, he comes in and eats breakfast with you and helps you finish getting ready.
·         He helps you pull your hair back and ties your shoes for you awawawe
·         Always opens your car door for you
·         You wear his t-shirts to school after spending the night with him and he gets all heart-eyed and thinks you look so cute.
·         He sees you in your faded jeans, with a bow in your hair, and his ratty Judas Priest shirt on and his cheeks get all hot cause he just thinks you’re the cutest.
·         For his birthday, you go to his house while he’s at work and you and his mom cook him his favorite dinner (chicken parmesan and fettucine), and you and the gang hang up a banner and surprise him.
·         You didn’t have much money so you made him a cassette mix tape and take them to the bakery on main street for cupcakes, and you all serenade him right there on the sidewalk outside the shop.
·         He tries SO HARD to keep up with your friend drama because he likes that you come to him to talk but fuck, you have so many friends. Who’s Trish?? Where tf did Emma come from? When the hell did Lisa come into the picture?
·         Takes care of you on your period like his mom told him to.
 Victor
·         Vic is the one you go to about your friend drama and knows exactly what you’re talking about.
·         “Oh my god who does Lisa think she is talking to Gemma about you like that? I’ll kick her ass idc.”
·         Says goodbye with a firm slap on the ass
·         Smiles at the tiny squeak you make every time he slaps the ass
·         Always gives you candies out of the pockets of his vest
·         He says he keeps them to put a smile on your face and you know he stole that shit
·         Loves to rest his head in your lap and let you play with his hair
·         He gets this blissed out, barely conscious look when you gently scrape your nails across his scalp
·         Stares in slack-jawed appreciation when you wear those little skirts that sway when you walk
·         When you’re having a bad day, he paints your nails
·         He notices you getting nervous and scraping the polish off and just grabs your hand away and squeezes it.
·         Smacks Patrick over the head for making lewd comments about your body in public
·         “Dude, watch your fucking mouth, she’s a lady.”
·         You have study hall together, and you sit with your Walkman cassette player in between you, listening to KISS and holding hands, and reading your English class assignments
·         KISS is so not his cup of tea but he doesn’t mind them.
·         He knows you love them so he sits put and listens anyway
·         He learns all the words to all the songs on Smashes Thrashes and Hits from how often you listen to it.
·         You two smoked weed together and the guys found you laying outside staring at the clouds together being sappy
·         But he kicked their asses for making fun of it
·         You bleach his hair for him because he tried to do it himself and got burns on his head
·         You teach him how to put coconut oil through his hair to prevent burning, damage and uneven processing
·         Henry and Patrick laugh and look on, telling him how soft it is to dye his hair.
·         You turn around and tell them how harsh and dangerous bleach can be to the body and offer to put some on THEIR heads.
·         They scurry tf away
·         He loves to watch you masturbate, and loves when you wear lingerie for them.
·         When you and your boyfriends crashed a party, they went off to torture some people but you and Vic were making out on the stairs while all the girls with crushes on him watched
·         He lowkey loves showing you off at all times
·         For Christmas you made him the coolest sneakers he ever saw
·         You bought a pair of canvas kicks from the thrift store and spent hours painting them, and he fREAKED when he saw them
·         He loves when you wear that peachy smelling lipgloss but he always ends up with shimmer all over his mouth and the guys laugh at him. Worth it tho.
 Henry
·         You tell him you got your nails done and he gets this “The fuck are you tellin’ me for?” look on his face.
·         You frown. He realizes you just want him to act interested and suddenly he’s like AH YES, THE NAILS, THE FINGERNAILS YES THE NAILS ON THESE PARTICULAR FINGERS ARE LOOKING MIGHTY SPIFFY TODAY YES INDEED
·         He notices you painted them his favorite color and has to physically restrain himself from squealing like a schoolgirl because he loves that you love him lmao
·         Talks a major talk about what a ladykiller he is but the first time you take your clothes off and he sees your body in only soft lingerie he just stares in awe and appreciation
·         He thinks you don’t know (but you definitely know) he stole one of your silky pink camisoles and keeps it stuffed under his mattress.
·         He actually wasn’t being pervy, he holds it to him when he sleeps and breathes in that precious smell of delicate perfume and something distinctly you and it blisses him out no matter how stressed he is.
·         Always puts his arm around you in public or holds your hand
·         When its cold and you didn’t wear a jacket to school, he scolds you because he’s concerned for your health and comfort, and puts his jacket around your shoulders.
·         Will beat someone up just for looking at you wrong
·         Always is the guy who says he needs to “Defend your honor”
·         Its endearing but can be a bit much.
·         Always hitting Patrick for disrespecting you
·         Always being hit by Reggie for disrespecting you :^)
·         Is 90000% outraged when you confess an insecurity
·         “What on god’s green earth would you hate your tits for?! Have you fuckin seen them? Your body ‘so fine I’m havin to chase off every man in this damn town, cause they all want my girl.”
·         I think he’d be that boyfriend who if you wore a low cut shirt in public would walk around with his hand covering your cleavage cause that shits his eyes only thank you very much.
·         “Only yours?” you’d tease. “Damn straight.” he’d reply. “But what about Belch? N Pat n Vic?” you’d say, laughing. “OK, now listen here.”
·         Is totally fine sharing you but constantly refers to you as HIS girl.
·         Likes you to know who’s in charge.
·         One time you sucked his fingers clean after he fingered you and he is still recovering tbqh
·         Also one time you called him daddy in public and he came in his fccuccking pants.
·         You didn’t know what to get him for his birthday so you just had him over to spend the night and wore pretty underthings and had a night just the two of you.
·         You cut his hair. You’re always begging him to let you cut the fucking mullet off but he just won’t hear of it. He thinks he looks badass.
·         His hair is really soft tho and you put the mullet into a tiny braid and giggled endlessly.
·         He just quirked his eyebrow up at you and asked If he looked sexy.
·         Lives for validation
·         Tries to offer you aftercare but lowkey useless at it
  Patrick
Patricks are the dirtiest
·         Rarely allowed to be alone with you
·         Loves to say creepy shit just to watch you squirm
·         By far the most dominant and thinks aftercare is stupid lmao
·         He likes that you somewhat want to impress him
·         JEALOUS as hell of how much Henry adores you
·         And really, how much they all adore you
·         One time he got the sense that you might actually be real
·         Which freaks him out, and he can’t shake the feeling
·         He compensates for this by going out of his way to make you uncomfortable
·         Says creepy shit in public
·         Puts his hand up your skirt at the lunch table
·         More or less only touches you because he’s allowed to
·         He likes your hands a lot, he likes holding them, he likes when you touch him with them because they’re so gentle and soft
·         Comes and visits you at night because he just likes to be near you
·         At first it was unsettling but now you’re used to it and know he won’t try anything
·         As scared as everyone already is of the whole gang,
·         They’ll never fuck with you because Patrick is too damn scary
·         You had a one-on-one night once
·         The next day, the gang came over to hang out and you had welts on your chest from where Patrick dripped candle wax on you, bloodied bite marks on your collarbones and were limping
·         Belch punched him in the fucking face
·         He knows you probably liked it but the idea of Patrick getting too carried away without anyone there to stop him worries him
·         (I honestly think he’s just always looking for reason to punch Patrick lmao. If asked why, he’d shake his head and say “that boy ain’t right” mister fuckin hank hill)
·         He likes to brush your hair which is weird to the other guys but you seem ok with it, so…
·         The first time you met his mother she was visibly shocked that someone actually wanted to spend time around him yikes lmao
·         You wear one of his rings on a necklace because it slides off your fingers
·         Gets the roughest with you during sex and the guys are always wary of the fact that you actually seem to enjoy it.
