Word Count: 9.6K
A/N: Billy's passed out for most of this but I hope y'all like it anyway. Please know I'm posting this and then running away. Okay, byeeeeeeeeee
Summary: When Billy stumbles into your clinic, hurt and in desperate need of care and refuge, you don't hesitate to help him. Perhaps this is God's will. Perhaps He has brought him into your life to help heal the parts of him that the cruelness of the world has soiled and broken. You are a healer by trade, both of the physical body and of faith. If this is to be God's mission for you, then it shall be done. How could you have possibly known that the young man who begged for help that fateful night would turn out to be the devil himself?

They say the devil can take on many forms.
He is a demon figure - with the face of a goat, horns, hooves, and a blade pointed tail.
He is a great dragon - large and terrifying, destructive and formidable in the power he holds.
He is a roaring lion - hungry and fierce as he stalks God’s children, waiting for them to fall into his trap before he attacks them like prey.
But the devil was once God’s favorite angel, amazingly beautiful and wise. The angel of light, God’s morning star - a traitor now, a trickster . . . evil.
The Lord teaches love for all, compassion and understanding despite another’s upbringing or current situation. All humans are God’s children, all made in His perfect image, brothers and sisters in unity under His loving and eternal care. You are thankful to know this, grateful that you can feel His presence coursing through your veins despite the horror that you’ve come to face daily while working at the clinic. His gift to you is your endless drive to help those in need, sitting by the bedsides of the sick and dying, applying a cool rag to their sweaty foreheads, or spoon feeding them soup to give them strength when they are too weak to do it themselves.
It is a taxing life, and the sorrow you feel when you cannot nurse someone back to health is ever present in your heart, but the Lord is clear in your life’s mission and you will be forever thankful for the lessons you learn in this lifetime.
He has made you a healer, using you as a vessel for His healing touch for all you come across - regardless of wealth, status, religious affiliation, or criminal record.
Which is why when he stumbles into the clinic during the late hours of the night, face pale and hand pressing hard to his side where blood is streaming through his fingers despite the pressure, you don’t hesitate to help him.
You think you should have - should have let him bleed to death on the clinic floor. Would God have abandoned you if you had?
“Sister Maria!” You cry instead, running to the injured man and looping his arm around your shoulders to help him lean against you. “We need fresh towels and water! And sutures! Hurry!”
Sister Maria runs in the room, bedsheets still cradled in her arms from where she had been turning over a recently discharged patient’s room. She gasps at the scene, dropping the linens on the floor as she rushes to the main utility closet. You guide the man to a bed, helping him drop onto the thin mattress with a tortured groan. One of your hands splays over his, helping to maintain pressure on the wound until Sister Maria can bring in the needed supplies. Your other hand lays gently on his sweaty forehead, thumb caressing the straight line of his nose trying to soothe him.
His baby blue eyes stare up at you through their pained haze.
“P-please, help,”
The devil can take on many forms and carry many names.
And yet, despite all you’ve heard about who he is and what he’s done, you never once considered Billy the Kid to be one of them.
Misguided and uncared for - sure, but never evil.
He’s so young. You can’t even imagine what horrors he must have had to go through to lead him to the path that he’s on now.
Perhaps it’s fate that you’ve been brought together, an opportunity for you to spread the healing power of your Lord’s love and mend not only his body but his bruised heart as well. You’ve seen too many times where hardships have hardened the minds and spirits of others, caging them off from God as they struggle with their wavering faith.
“Don’t you worry,” You say. “The Lord is here with us. He will see you through.”
Whether he groans from your words or the pain, you’re not sure.
Sister Maria is quick to grab the supplies, dumping them on the side table. She dunks a clean cloth in the water, wringing out the excess, but pauses when she sees his face.
“Is that— ”
“Nevermind that!” You hiss, pulling the cloth from her hand.
You lift his shirt, exposing the injury and the dirt dusted skin framing it. It looks horrible, blood seeping from the laceration in a steady flow and a part of you is thankful that the sight of blood doesn’t make you immediately drop to the floor like your cousin, Paul. He gasps when you touch the cloth to the wound, blood immediately seeping into the white of the cloth and marring the pure color.
His fingers dig into the fabric of his trousers, gripping it tight as he clenches his teeth against the pain. Your free hand rubs lightly against his forehead, trying to soothe him as best you can while you clean the wound.
You think it must be God’s mercy that he passes out before you can pull the bullet out. The pain of the forceps digging into his body as you pulled out the thick ball of lead and the shock that would have come with it would have surely dragged him under had blood loss not gotten to him first. It’s better this way - he’s safer cradled in sleep’s loving hold rather than crying and jerking about as you try to save his life.
Sister Maria holds a small bowl out in front of you with one hand while the other delicately holds his wrist, feeling his pulse between her dainty fingers.
The bullet comes out easy, your forceps finding the lead and guiding it out of the wound’s entrance with ease. It clanks as you drop it into the tiny bowl, and you send up prayers of thanks for allowing such a quick and simple removal. The grace of your Lord has certainly just saved this man’s life.
With quick fingers, you stitch him up, practiced movements securing the wound shut before covering it with a generous dressing of cloth to keep it clean from any dirt and debris.
His sleep isn’t restful, the pinch in his brow and the way his cheeks twitch in the flickering candlelight of the small room make that clear. Your own brows pinch as you reach a hand out to trace the furrowed skin, smoothing it out with a gentle thumb. You don’t like seeing people suffer, but it’s more often than not that the people you come into contact with while working in the clinic are in pain, or suffering, or at Heaven’s doorstep. You help who you can and pray for the souls of the ones you can’t so they may be guided to God’s kingdom where they can live in an eternal paradise by His side. It always hurts when you can’t heal someone, the feeling of failure is a stark reminder that ultimately it is the Lord who chooses to give us life, and he can choose to take it away just as quickly.
It feels different this time though, somehow more personal in a way you can’t understand. The young man before you still has his whole life ahead of him, still so much to do and so many lives to touch. The sins that he’s committed thus far can be forgiven, if only he lifts them up to Him and asks for forgiveness. You can feel it, deep in your bones, that you need to save this man. You can’t fail.
He’s alive, for now. And you can only do your best to make sure he stays that way.
“He cannot stay here,” Sister Maria says quietly, gathering the red stained water and rags. “They will find him.”
You nod, gathering the small bowl with the bullet remnant and the sutures kit. “We’ll keep him here tonight and move him to the back room in the morning after he’s rested a while,”
“No,” Sister Maria says. “He cannot stay here. Helping an outlaw is punishable by death. They will hang us,”
“God will not abandon us,” You say, firmly. “We are all His children, servants and outlaw alike. He wouldn’t want us to toss him out on the street to die.”
You look over your shoulder towards the sleeping man again. His brow is furrowed again, the sweat on his face glistening in the light. You sigh before turning back to Sister Maria. “Don’t worry, Sister. I’ll think of something,”
The pacifying words seem to offer Sister Maria no comfort, and her worried eyes snap upwards as she looks towards the ceiling, voice cracking as she breathes a pleading, “Por Dios,” up towards the roof.
The room is silent to her plea.
You don’t leave Billy’s side the entire night, sitting in the chair directly next to the bed, dabbing at his heated face and neck with a damp washcloth and changing his bandage when the first one had soiled through. He wakes a few times during the night, icy blue eyes fluttering open and locking on yours for the briefest second before slipping closed once again, a quiet sigh escaping through his slightly parted lips.
This is the hardest part - the waiting. Waiting to see if your hard work to heal someone was enough. You keep a close eye on him, looking for signs of pain or illness, keeping an eye on the injury site to try and prevent infection. You flushed it with alcohol during the dressing change, having found an extra bottle hiding in the supply closet while grabbing some fresh cloths. Supplies like alcohol for disinfecting, while needlessly abundant in saloons and brothels, are difficult to acquire for the clinic. You think it's foolish, wasting something that can be used for healing purposes on something as pointless as getting drunk. Your father had been a drunk, drinking away his cares and woes, his only goal was to make it to the bottom of a bottle.
You wish you would have found it sooner so you could have actually disinfected the entire wound instead of just the outside and stitches, but this is better than nothing, you suppose. The smell as you pour it over his wound makes your stomach turn, reminding you of all the times your father came home reeking of the stuff, belly full of poison and his mind, hazed with drink, still evil enough to find your mother and make her suffer as if she were the reason he deemed himself a failure in life. Billy lets out a pained moan in his sleep, body subconsciously tensing in pain as the alcohol flushes the stitched up skin, but thankfully he doesn’t wake. You don’t want him to be in pain, but there’s a part of you that selfishly thinks he’s sharing your own pain, the memory of your childhood trauma somehow seeping into his brain as you recover his wound.
You know it’s not true, but you’re thankful he’s there with you anyway.
When morning arrives, you’re beyond exhausted.
The night shift always takes more out of you than the day shift and your eyes have been threatening to close since the first rays of the sun started spreading across the dust covered floor of the clinic.
Sister Ann and Sister Catherine arrive before the sun does, the first rays of it only starting to spill over the New Mexico horizon line when their footsteps echo through the entryway. You lean forward in your seat at the sound of them, glancing over at Billy’s still sleeping frame as Sister Ann’s gentle humming of a nursery song her mother used to sing to her spreads throughout the clinic. Quick footsteps cut through the song, the humming stopping entirely as frantic whispers sound from the entryway. And then three sets of running feet are getting closer to the corner room.
“Oh, good heavens,” Sister Catherine breathes, eyes locked on the special patient taking up the small bed.
Sister Ann has a dainty hand clasped against her mouth in shock and Sister Maria nervously wrings her own together from behind them.
“He was hurt,” You say, immediately defensive of the injured man. “We couldn’t leave him to die. The Lord says–”
“You don’t need to preach to us, Sister y/n,” Sister Catherine interrupts. “It’s the right thing to do. The Lord is on our side.” She’s confident in her words, and it gives you comfort you didn’t know you needed to have your beliefs validated. But she pauses, eyes flickering once again to Billy before they meet yours - the fear in her brown orbs clear as day. “The law, on the other hand, will not be.”
“We need to move him,” You say.
“To where?” Sister Ann whispers frantically. “The sheriff and his deputies are sure to show up here. They know he’s been shot, it’s only a matter of time.”
“It is a blessing they have not come already,” Sister Maria adds.
They’re right. With Billy injured, they have to know he couldn’t have gotten far. Their only saving grace is that the Sheriff more than likely would have never believed Billy would have come to the clinic for medical attention if on the run from the law. Perhaps holed up in some abandoned alley, bleeding out while propped up against a wall. Or maybe they think he tried riding out of town, desperate to get as far away from the people hunting him as possible before inevitably succumbing to his injuries and falling off his horse in a nearby field.
You rise from the chair, leaning over the bed slightly to rest a gentle hand on Billy’s forehead. It’s still clammy against your palm and he shivers slightly in his sleep, subconsciously pressing his head a little harder against your hand looking for comfort in his pained state. He needs to get away from here, away from any prying eyes because if he’s found, his life on this Earth is over. He is in no position to run or fight for his life. The road to recovery for him is a long one if he hopes to heal well enough to regain his strength and usual mobility. The only thing he will have to look forward to if discovered before he can is a necklace of rope and a quick fall.
“Help me get him to the back room,” You say, sternly. In moments of uncertainty and panic, someone needs to be the guiding light. Your fellow Sisters are still as stones in their spots, all in various states of distress as they look at the man who, if discovered under their care, could very well be the catalyst that marks the end of their missions here on Earth. The Lord brought Billy to you - you need to protect him. “He can stay in the alcove until we can figure out where to take him.”
“He cannot stay in the clinic!” Sister Maria exclaims. “They will surely check every room searching for him!”
“Trust me,” You soothe. “Please, Sister. We need to move him before they come or we will all surely pay the price.”
There is a short pause, but to your frantic brain it feels like an eternity before Sister Catherine nods and gently nudges Sister Ann to the opposite side of the bed.
“Let’s hurry,” She says, reaching to pull away the thin blanket you threw over Billy’s shaking frame at some point during the night. “I fear we don’t have much time left.”
Together, the four of you lift Billy from the bed. It’s a struggle. Even for multiple women to carry a fully grown man, it's a task and a half just to get him from the small patient room to the back area of the clinic. He whines in his sleep, his wound jostling and stitches pulling from the regretfully poor stability you have on his body as you carry him. But, somehow, he doesn’t wake.
The back room is small, but comparatively large compared to the patient’s rooms. The entire width is the size of two patient rooms combined, but that’s not giving it much grace. It makes you sick sometimes, to see people with money spending it on lavish items, large houses and grand parties just to show off their wealth when there are people in need all around whose lives would change if they only had a fraction of the wealth the ones in good standing do. As it is, the back room of the clinic is despairingly bare - limited backstock of supplies, linens, and food are scattered among the wooden shelves lining the room. If only those wealthy men who think to only fill their pockets would hear the Lord’s call to give to the needy instead. It would make your heart happy to see these shelves filled just once.
There’s a small alcove in the back of the room that you and the other Sisters use when times prove most trying. On the days when things are difficult, emotions are too much for you to handle alone or a patient isn’t doing well and there’s nothing you can do other than wait and pray for their recovery, you visit the alcove. It's been adorned with simple yet revenant items, a small yet beautiful cross nailed to the center of the wall, a small ceramic dish holding a wooden beaded rosary placed on the floor below it, resting on a pleasantly fluffed up pillow - ready to help guide their prayer.
Resting against the side wall of the alcove is a folded up cot. It’s not uncommon that one of the Sisters might have to sleep at the clinic during their off shift. More often than not, they are able to return to their lodgings to sleep and reenergize for their next shift. But there are times when too many people are injured, too many of the townspeople have fallen ill to whatever flu or illness that’s crossing through the town and all hands are needed here. The foldable cot is their home away from home, and while it might not be the most comfortable, you are thankful the Lord was able to provide it lest you be made to sleep on the floor behind the extra blankets neatly folded on the shelves.
You all adjust your grips on the young man allowing for Sister Maria to release her hold and pull back the thick blanket shielding the entrance to the alcove. You grunt under the presence of the additional weight, the awkward grip you all have on him unhelpful in the way his limp body bears down on you all. Sister Maria is quick in tying back the privacy blanket so that it stays to one side, and works to wrangle open the finicky cot. Once it’s unrolled, you help in depositing Billy down onto the makeshift bed, quickly checking his wound to make sure no stitches accidentally ripped in the journey back here before turning to accept the fresh blanket Sister Ann hands you from the shelf.
Billy’s brow is furrowed again, breathing a little harsher probably from the pain of being jostled. You lay out the blanket over top of him and pull it up to his chin, your hand reaching out to smooth the wrinkled skin between his eyes again.
“What do we do now?” Sister Ann asks, and Sister Catherine pulls her hand away from where it was plucking nervously at the skin at the sides of her fingers.
“We wait,” She responds, cradling Sister Ann’s damaged hand delicately between her own. “We won’t be able to move him out of the clinic before the Sheriff arrives. We’ll have to keep him hidden here until then and pray they don’t find him.”
The thought of the Sheriff and his men finding Billy here makes your stomach churn. The undeniable fate that waits for you if he’s discovered is one that you’re willing to sacrifice. He’s come here for help, God has brought him here to you for your healing and protection and you can’t fail Him just because your humanity makes you fearful of your end. It’s supposed to be a beautiful thing - death. The moment when your soul on this Earth fulfills its mission here and your granted eternal life at the side of God in the Kingdom of Heaven. It’s what you’ve wanted your whole life, a life of peace and serenity that seems so out of reach here on the soil. Fear will not keep you from looking forward to it. But you’re not done here yet, you have many years left of helping others and spreading His love to those in need. This is not your end. But if it is, it’s worth the sacrifice to try to save Billy.
You’ll hang with him, if need be.
Your fellow Sisters though . . . the thought of them hanging for your own choice, regardless of if you think it was the right thing to do, makes you sick. Your decisions are your own, and they shouldn’t suffer for your choices.
Billy’s forehead unwrinkles under your gentle fingers, and you can feel your heart break as you look down at him. He’s so young still, a young man just at the beginning of his life. He has so many fine years ahead of him. He’s handsome, fit and strong - he would make a fine husband for some lucky lady, a dutiful father for his children. He’s not as evil as they say. You’ve learned to trust your instincts when it comes to people. Sometimes the most misunderstood people are the kindest, and you can’t help but think Billy is the most misunderstood of all. You can’t sense a single whisper of badness in him.
You stand up and pull the privacy blanket back in front of the alcove, hiding Billy from sight in the safety of God’s makeshift altar. Together, you and the other Sisters make your way out of the back room. A few rooms down a sickly man is coughing up a storm, and from how hard and continuous his coughs are, you know his throat is raw. Sister Ann shoots the rest of you a worried look, but turns to grab a water carafe off of a side table before rushing down the hall towards the coughing man and away from the current situation.
“You can head back, Sister Maria,” You say, placing a calming hand on her shoulder. “Get some rest. It’s going to be a long day and we’re going to need you for the night shift.”
You can tell she’s torn, both wanting to stay and help in any way she can but seeming to know that there’s nothing she can do. All there is to do is wait. After a few moments, she nods, her own hand coming up to rest on top of yours. “Que Dios te bendiga,”
You watch as she makes her way towards the front, pushing open the wooden door before jerking to a halt. “Sheriff Garrett! Qué sorpresa!”
Her words sent a spark of panic through you. It’s so soon! You knew it was coming, but it’s still so incredibly soon. You had hoped for at least a while longer to try to gather your thoughts and think of a plan of where you can take Billy, but it feels like time moves slowly as the Sheriff and two of his deputies step into the clinic.
“Sister,” Garrett responds, respectfully tipping his hat.
Even through your panic, you still feel a twinge of irritation. A gentleman would take off his hat, but you suppose it’s better than the two men standing behind him who do nothing but trail their eyes around the clinic's entrance suspiciously (and with a clear bout of judgment).
You know for a fact these men with gold lined pockets have never given so much as a dime to the clinic.
Sister Maria turns back to look at you and Sister Catherine, desperation clear in her eyes and you're glad that none of the men are looking at her anymore or you think her obvious distress might have given you all away.
“Have a good rest, Sister,” You say, urging Sister Maria away. Thankfully, she listens, nodding to you and then Garrett before scurrying out the door.
“How can we help you, Sheriff?” Sister Catherine asks.
Garrett takes a few leisurely steps along the entryway, observing the interior of the clinic with the aura of a man who thinks he can see everything. You suspect he sees nothing at all.
“I apologize for the interruption, Sisters. I know you’re hard at work," He says. “But we’re looking for an outlaw on the run.” He pauses, looking over at the two of you with pointed eyes. At your silence, he continues. “William H. Bonney, otherwise known as Billy the Kid,”
“Oh, dear,” Sister Catherine gasps.
You feign concern also, bringing your fingers to your mouth as a sign of shock. Garrett nods in agreement at your supposed horror.
“As you no doubt know he is a very dangerous, very unlawful, man,”
“So we’ve heard,” Sister Catherine says, nodding solemnly. “Is that what brings you in today?”
“Yes,” He says. “There was an altercation last night between him and I. I was able to shoot him so he is very hurt, but he got away before I could arrest him or finish the job.”
“Kinda stupid to come to a clinic when you’re a wanted outlaw, Pat,” One of the men behind Garrett grumbles. “We’re wasting our time here.”
You can’t help but agree, despite that being exactly what Billy did. But maybe that’s what makes it smart. You're hopeful that Garrett will listen to his friend, will assume that Billy couldn’t possibly be here and leave the clinic without investigating it.
The small spark of hope dies as Garrett laughs without mirth. “The Kid’s not stupid. But we’re covering all our bases,”
“Helloooooo,” A voice calls from another room opposite the patient still occasionally coughing up a lung. “Can someone please pay attention to the sick people around here? Hellooooooooooo?”
Sister Catherine smiles tightly. “Mr. Taylor,” She says by way of explanation. “A rather problematic patient here. He’s a good man, just impatient.”
Sister Ann’s voice can still be heard attempting to soothe her own charge, so Sister Catherine has no choice but to tend to Mr. Taylor. When she disappears from sight, you turn back to Garrett, trying your best to deter suspicion.
“I can assure you, Sheriff, that we haven’t seen any sign of Mr. Bonney around here,” The lie leaves your lips far too easily for it to feel like the sin that it is.
Garrett nods, and you can tell he believes you, but puts his hands on his hips all the same, one hand pushing aside his coat to rest freely on the hilt of his gun. “Mind if we have a look around?”
You force a smile on your face. “Not at all. As long as you don’t bother any of the patients. They need their rest,”
“Certainly,”
You lead him around the clinic allowing him and the deputies to search the rooms for their missing outlaw. When they get to Billy’s old room, the room they just vacated not minutes before the Sheriff arrived, you tell them that a patient was recently discharged and that you hadn’t had the time to turn over the room yet.
“Why is there blood on ‘em?” One of the deputies asks, nodding to the blood stains still covering the stark white of the sheets.
“A cooking accident,” You reply. “An incorrect knife hold can sometimes do that,”
Another lie. You feel this one a little more than the first.
Eventually their search comes to the back room. You can’t keep them out, that would be too suspicious, so you allow them to walk through the half filled shelves. It's more than clear that there’s no place to hide anyone here other than the alcove and you're naively hoping they won’t even realize it’s there.
It’s a large blanket hanging on the wall. Of course, they’re going to notice it.
And, sure enough, one of the deputy’s eyes cut to the blanket. He heads towards it with a gruff “What’s behind here?” but you intercept him, rushing over to stand between him and the alcove.
The Sheriff and his deputies have their eyes on you now, each one closing in closer to you and the alcove, much too close for comfort.
“Sister,” Garrett says, voice stern with authority. “What’s behind the blanket?”
“It’s our place of prayer here,” You say, voice calm despite your nervousness. “Our altar.” You can’t mess up now. If you show any sign that you’re being untruthful, both you and Billy as well as your fellow Sisters out front will be on a one way trip to the courthouse. You’ll all die hanging from its top banister. “When healing doesn’t seem to be enough, it helps to have a place dedicated to God to call upon his everlasting power to perform miracles.”
Garrett nods. “Mind if we take a look?”
“Yes, actually. I do,” Your quick denial clearly catches him off guard, his eyebrows raising towards his hat. “Just as God bids us to modesty with our clothing, we must also show privacy and modesty in our places of worship. They’re sacred spaces. Surely you understand that, Sheriff,”
The words feel like poison on your tongue. Using worship and prayer to cover up a lie is the catalyst that makes bile feel like it's rising in your throat. It’s not a lie, you have to remind yourself. It is a makeshift altar, you do use it as a place of worship and prayer. Just . . . not right at this moment.
The reality of the situation is catching up with you, and you hide your slightly shaking hands by folding them together in front of you. You haven’t lied in years. You lied a lot as a child, a necessity of living with a father who’s anger could strike at a moment’s notice. You resented having to do it back then, forced to sin for the sake of trying to keep peace in the home. It’s much like the situation you find yourself in now, having to lie to try and protect another person. To protect yourself.
When you found refuge at the convent all those years ago, you were told you would never have to be untruthful ever again.
“God is granting you freedom from your woes,” You were told, and you remember how light those words had made you feel. “Thank him for His good graces with your undying loyalty and strive to always be who He guides you to be.”
You hadn’t lied since, no matter how tough things seemed. Sickly patients lying on their deathbed, scared and begging you for any kind of reassurance that it wasn’t the end for them. You wouldn’t give them false hope. Instead, you would tell them to turn their worries to the Lord, clasping their hands in yours and praying with them.
“Your soul is strong, bright and ever-present,” You would tell them. Sometimes you would let them hold your rosary so they can find comfort in it. “The body is a temple, and we do our best in our life to care for it. You’ve done that. If it weakens now, it is because God is calling your soul back to Him.”
The guilt is clawing at your chest, but you force it back as best as you can as you meet Garrett’s eyes. “I ask that you don’t force us to desecrate that,”
Garrett just stares at you, an unreadable expression on his face. One deputy just looks between you and Garrett, uncertain with how to proceed in the face of defying authority, and the other deputy that sneered at the thought of Billy even coming to the clinic scoffs at your words.
“Listen, lady, the law–”
“John, enough,” Garrett interrupts, voice shockingly hard as his eyes cut to his deputy. “She’s a Sister and you’ll show her respect.”
You feel a quick spark of satisfaction at the way the deputy’s confident, power hungry facade dies under the Sheriff's ridicule. He mumbles a quick apology to which you accept with a nod despite how insincere it sounds.
Garrett nods his head towards the door, silently gesturing for the other two to head towards the exit before he tips his hat at you directly, thanking you for your time and apologizing for any inconvenience their visit may have caused.
You want to tell him it was no inconvenience at all, but you’ve already sinned enough today and you can’t bear the thought of intentionally adding to the tally without justified need. Instead you settle on curving your lips into a convincing smile, thanking the men in return for their brevity and understanding and wishing them a good rest of their day as you usher them out of the back room and towards the front entrance.
Every single muscle in your body relaxes once they are completely out of the clinic, relief washing over you as you whisper out a quick prayer of thanks to God for allowing everyone to get out of the overwhelmingly dangerous situation unscathed - at least for now.
Sister Ann and Sister Catherine peek out of their respective rooms when they hear the front door swing shut, their wide eyes mimicking the relief you know is shown in your own.
“I can’t believe they didn’t find him,” Sister Ann admits, and it pains your heart to see tears begin to well up in her eyes. “I thought this was truly the end for all of us.”
You have her in your arms in an instant, cradling her small frame against your chest as she begins to cry in earnest. For as scary as it’s been for you so far, you can’t imagine what she’s been going through. Sister Ann and Sister Catherine have only known about Billy for less than no time at all. And yet, despite the short period of time between finding out about Billy, getting him into the alcove, and the entrance and departure of the Sheriff - you’re sure it probably felt like an eternity to her.
“Hush now, Sister,” You whisper, running a soothing hand along her back. “You’re safe, I promise.”
Sister Catherine places one of her hands on Sister Ann’s back as well, but she’s looking at you when she speaks. “He still can’t stay here,”
You know that. You know. You got lucky that the Sheriff didn’t find Billy this time, but who's to say that he won’t come back when he’s unable to find his missing outlaw anywhere else? Covering all his bases, that’s what he said. He’ll come back again when he sees that his other ‘bases’ have turned up nothing but dead ends.
Your older brother, Joe, has a cabin just outside of town. It’s a hidden place, specifically built for peace. No visitors. He lives alone, no wife or children to keep him company and he prefers it that way.
“If I’m alone, I can’t turn into him,”
You're positive he wouldn’t. Your brother is far from being anything like your father, but the task of trying to prove that to him seems to be out of your skillset. He tells you he’s happy with his life, that he’s chosen the path he feels he needs to be on just as you have. Who are you to pass judgment?
Joe likes the solitude, that much is certain. But he also has an adventurous spirit which guides him on lengthy trips from town to town, exploring all the world has to offer while never having to be tied to one place. He’s away now according to the last letter he sent you, planning to stay in Chihuahua, Mexico for a while and that he’s not sure yet when he’s going to be back.
“It’s dangerous,” Sister Catherine pushes, taking your silence as reluctance.
“I know,” You say. “I know. I think . . . I think I have an idea.”
The cabin will be empty. Joe isn’t due back for the immediate future, and even if he does return earlier than you suspect he will, you and Billy won’t be in danger. Joe can be trusted. He’ll help you, if need be. You can’t imagine that the Sheriff would ever know about it. It’s secluded - far off of any of the usual paths. It’s safe there. The perfect place to hide the wanted outlaw for a while. He can rest there, heal up uninterrupted for a few weeks until he can safely move around on his own two feet again.
Sister Catherine listens openly to the idea, but her face is pinched in displeasure.
“We don’t have much of a choice,” She says, reluctantly. “It seems like the best place for him to disappear to until he’s healed.”
You can hear the underlying pause in her agreement loud and clear. “But?”
“The clinic cannot spare two of us. We would lose half of our staff and it is too much for one person to handle alone per shift,”
“I wouldn’t ask any of you to come with us,” You say. No, for as much as you believe God sent Billy into your life for a reason, this was your mission to bear. You’ve already put your fellow Sisters through enough.
“You want to go alone?” Sister Ann sniffles, raising her head up from your chest.
“You need to think about this,” Sister Catherine says, sternly. “You shouldn’t be alone with him. He is a child of God, yes. But he is also an outlaw and a man. Sometimes, one of those is worse than the other.”
They’re being protective. The more rational part of you is grateful for their concern, and you think that if the positions were switched and one of them were in your position instead, you would react the same way. But a part of you is bitter. They’ve heard the stories. You know exactly how cruel men can be and you know exactly what they’re capable of. It’s a risk you’re taking, but you feel called to take it anyway. Billy needs your help, and God would never put anything in your path that you can’t handle.
“The Lord will protect me,” Despite the truthfulness of your words, you can see how they do little to reassure them. Your next words are better. “The Lord will help me protect myself.”
Sister Ann looks at Sister Catherine, once again bringing her hands together to pick at the reddened skin at the edge of her nail. Sister Catherine sighs, and the back of her hand reaches up to tap her forehead as if feeling the temperature or wiping away sweat.
“Alright,” She relents. “How do we get him to your brother’s cabin?”
“I don’t know,” You admit. “We need a wagon. Or a large wheelbarrow that we can put him in and attach it to a horse. I haven’t ridden a horse in a long time, but I’m sure I can manage.”
“Where are we supposed to get that?” Sister Ann’s tone borders on exasperated.
As if answering your unspoken prayer, the door to the clinic opens once more, this time revealing a bright faced Samuel Anderson, carrying a crate full of fresh supplies. And behind him, lit up by the sunlight like a bright blessing, is his wagon.
Sam Anderson is the son of local store owner, Edward Anderson, the clinic's top provider for basic supplies that are not strictly medical. While medicine shipments and more specialty items are donated from suppliers farther away, and frankly much less frequent than necessary, Mr. Anderson and Sam never fail to come through with plenty of food for you to make soups and nutritious meals for your patients. On occasion, you even have enough to give away to the families who are stacked together in a small two bedroom on the edge of town. With eight children total between two families, you're honestly not sure how they manage - but you do your best to help when you can.
Seeing Sam walk through the front door is like a beacon of light from Heaven is shining down on him. He’s smiling already, the crate of food handled carefully between his hands as he lets out a cheery, “Good morning, Sisters”. But as soon as he sees your faces, more specifically when he sees the tear tracks still visible on Sister Ann’s cheeks, he’s placing down the crate and across the clinic’s entrance in a second.
“What’s going on?” He asks. His hands automatically reach out towards Sister Ann’s face as if to cup it, but he stops himself. Instead he just looks at her worriedly, his concerned gaze leaving her face for only a moment to glance at you and Sister Catherine before they’re back on her, voice low and gentle. “What’s wrong?”
It’s no secret that Sam harbors some romantic feelings towards Sister Ann. There are days when you feel sorry for him - a young man, good and kind and generous, who you have no doubt would make a fine husband to any lucky woman is in love with one of the four women in the entire county who are incapable of returning his affection. But it’s moments like this when it’s easy to see God’s presence in other people. Sam is as respectful and kind as they come. He accepts his feelings can never be reciprocated and in turn uses his undying love and loyalty to Sister Ann by helping you all at the clinic with anything he can.
Somehow, he doesn’t expect anything in return, never stares at Sister Ann with an ounce of lust in his eyes, and it warms your heart to see the godly quality that’s usually so absent in men so prevalent in him.
“Something’s happened,” Sister Ann tells him, her voice still wobbly with emotion.
“What?”
“Sam,” You say, calling his attention back to you. “I know I have no place to ask this and I won’t fault you if you decline, but– I’m asking.”
“Tell me,” He insists, pulling his hat from his head and holding it to his chest, and God bless how the sincerity in his voice bleeds into his words. “Whatever it is, I’ll do it,”
So you tell him everything. Sam listens with wide eyes, shooting panicked glances at Sister Catherine and Sister Ann when you tell him about the Sheriff’s visit, and he’s genuinely sorrowful when your voice gets caught in your throat as you tell him that you had to tell some lies to get him to leave without discovering Billy. He’s nodding already when you mention your brother’s cabin.
“I’ll take you there,” He offers before you can even ask the question. “My wagon is always at your disposal.”
“It’s dangerous. If we’re caught, you would hang with us,”
Sam lets out a breath, unconsciously glancing over at Sister Ann again. “If the four most wonderful and religiously minded people in town hang for trying to do the right thing, then this isn’t a town or even a world that I want to live in anymore. Please let me take you. It would be my honor,”
A small smile graces your lips as you reach out and gently cup his cheek in thanks. For as many men pull and grind on your nerves with their endless greed and manipulation tactics, Sam is a breath of fresh air - a truly God-fearing man with a good heart.
He’s another person that you’re putting at risk, another life in danger because of the choice you’ve made. You try not to think yourself too selfish. Surely the fact that Billy has turned up in your life is God’s plan, and He does not put obstacles in your way that you cannot overcome.
He tells you that he’ll come back tomorrow. He has a delivery that’s expected in a town over and if he’s going to make it there and back before nightfall, he needs to leave before the sun comes up.
“I’ll stop here first,” He says. “We can load him into the back of the wagon while most people are sleeping and make the trip to your brother’s before I head on my way.”
“Thank you, Sam. Honestly,”
“My pleasure,” He nods his head at you, replacing his hat and tipping it kindly towards Sister Catherine and Sister Ann. “Until tomorrow, Sisters,”
The door swings shut behind him as he leaves and you let out a deep breath, hands smoothing over the dark veil covering your head just to feel a bit more grounded before you pick up the crate of food Sam brought. Billy needs to eat something. You're not quite sure how long it's been since his last meal, but even if he ate a minute before bursting through the clinic’s doors in the early morning, he would surely still be hungry and in need of sustenance by now. His body is weak and it needs nourishment to heal.
Billy’s still sleeping when you peek around the privacy blanket. His head is turned to the side and buried in his pillow as much as he can get it, mouth hanging open as he breathes. Your hand itches to reach out and touch him again, to smooth against his forehead or cup his cheek, maybe place your fingers under his chin to help close his mouth in hopes of him breathing through his nose instead so his mouth doesn’t dry out.
You’re not sure where this desire is coming from. You’re as affectionate with your patients as any nurse should be - kind and supportive, offering comfort when needed, but not overly so that it can be considered inappropriate. You’re all brothers and sisters, children of God - yes. But there are still social norms that must be considered.
It feels different with Billy for some reason.
“I’m going to get you to safety,” You whisper. You’re unsure about if he can hear you in his sleep or not, but you feel the need to tell him anyway. “I promise.”
You fall asleep at some point during the night, slumped against the wall next to the alcove’s entrance.
You don’t remember falling asleep. You remember feeling tired, exhausted by the stress of the day’s events, and how your eyelids were threatening to close permanently more and more with each blink. The soup you had made still sat out in the small kitchen, and you had wanted to stay close to Billy so that whenever he awoke, you would be there ready to help feed him.
Instead, you wake to the sound of Sister Maria giggling to your left and a low, unfamiliar but still soft voice speaking in Spanish to her.
“Y él no quería que su mamá lo supiera. Así enterró la carne en el jardín,” The voice lets out a small chuckle, the smile on his face evident in his tone despite you not being able to understand most of his words. “Pero el perro la desenterró y ella se descubrió de todos modos. Tuvo que lavar platos él solo por dos meses.”
“Ese niño,” Sister Maria laughs. “Parece que era un buen amigo.”
You can’t see his face, but you can hear how he loses the smile in his voice. “Sí, él era,”
Pushing yourself to your feet, you step over to where Sister Maria is kneeling in front of Billy’s cot. It’s only now you see the mostly finished bowl of soup in her hands. Billy’s sitting up slightly, back propped up against his pillows enough to allow him to sit up a bit straighter but not enough to pull too much on his stitches.
At seeing your movement, his eyes snap to your approaching frame, big blue orbs staring up at you and you can’t help the relief you feel at seeing them.
“You’re awake,” You breathe, a small smile pulling at your lips. “Thank the Lord,”
His lips twitch a bit in what looks like a suppressed smile. “Kinda sounds like I should be thankin' you,” He says, and you notice how prominent the shift in his accent is as he seamlessly switches from Spanish to English. “Sister Maria says that you’re the only reason I’m alive right now.”
You shake your head, humbly. “Oh, no. Sister Maria and I work together as a team. I couldn’t have done it without her aid,”
“You show no fear,” Sister Maria insists. “Where I hesitate, you show mercy and strength. It is because of you that we are all alive now.”
“See?” Billy says with a blinding grin, and you can’t help but notice how handsome he is while no longer at death’s door. “My angel,”
You feel your face heat up at the endearment. An angel. Surely the comparison shouldn’t fluster you like it does. You’ve thought of your fellow nuns as the embodiment of angels before, angelic beings put into human bodies by the grace of God to spread His word. You know that’s not exactly true, that you’re just using your belief of what God’s angels would be like and seeing those beings in your fellow Sisters just like Billy is doing with you now, but you’ve never once thought yourself to be comparable to such a holy being and the compliment makes you flush.
You run a hand across your face, feeling the warmth under your palm, and clear your throat. “Oh, well, thank you,”
Sister Maria stands, taking the nearly finished bowl of soup with her. “He has eaten plenty and I changed his covering as soon as he woke up. You will want to change it again when you get to the cabin.”
“That’s great. Thank you,”
“De nada. I’ll go check on the patients and keep an eye out for Sam,”
She nods to you and Billy before she turns to leave, a small smile pulling at her lips when Billy rasps out a soft, “Gracias, Hermana,”
When she’s gone, you take her place in front of Billy, kneeling at his side and placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. “How are you feeling?”
“Much better thanks to you,” He responds, wide eyes trained on yours, a smirk playing at his lips as he continues. “Don’t feel much like I’m dyin’ anymore,”
A small laugh escapes you at his morbid joke. “Well, I’d say that’s a very good thing then,”
“Sister Maria said the Sheriff came lookin’ for me,”
“He did,” You confirm. “The Lord kept us all safe though and has given us an opportunity to get you to safety.”
Billy’s eyebrow raises skeptically. “Sounds like it was more your doin' than the Lord’s,”
You try to not let the slight against God rattle you. You had sensed this was coming anyway. William H. Bonney a.k.a Billy the Kid is an outlaw afterall, and no outlaw becomes an outlaw while still maintaining a positive relationship with the Heavenly Father. He’s gone through many hardships no doubt, and has more than likely deemed his bad luck in life as God’s personal vendetta against him.
“The Lord speaks through all of us, if only we have an open heart to hear him.” You tell him. “Fear can make His words harder to hear, and I’m thankful that He was able to guide my mind and heart enough through the fear for us to get to safety.”
“Hm,” Billy hums, and you can tell how much he doesn’t believe your words. He doesn’t argue though. “And where exactly is this safe place you’re gonna take me?”
“My brother has a cabin just outside of town. It’s well secluded and unknown to most. We’ll be safe there until you’re healed enough to go on your own.”
Billy’s eyes drop to your hand still resting on his shoulder, thick dark lashes casting shadows on his cheeks before his bright blue eyes are locked on yours again. “You gonna be takin’ care of me, Sister?”
“Of course, I will,” You reply. “We shall see you well again, Billy. I promise.”
His own arm crosses his chest so his hand can rest on your own, his eyes wide and so earnest as he whispers a quiet, “Thank you,”
It’s only about an hour longer before Sam arrives. It’s still early morning, the sun still a ways away from coming up behind the horizon line, and town is silent. Sam pulls his wagon up to the back door of the backroom before coming around the front to help push it open from the inside. It’s been so long since it’s been opened. The door was once used for the scheduled delivery of goods for easy access to the storage area, but as years went on and the county and surrounding counties became overrun with greed and poverty, the shipments became less frequent. Now, anything needed just comes through the front door. It’s never too much anyway, so what’s a trip or two to the backroom while carrying a crate.
Sam slams his body against the door a few times, the wood groaning in protest under his weight before it finally swings open. Billy watches from his place on the cot, his eyes threatening to close but forcing himself to stay awake. You want to tell him to sleep, he needs his rest to help him heal and recover, but you’re too busy checking your bag to make sure you haven't forgotten anything before tossing it in the back of the wagon. You need to leave before the townspeople start to wake up. If someone sees you, if just one person witnesses you smuggling away a wanted outlaw, then all of this would have been for nothing.
“Sister y/n,” Sam calls, squatting at the head of the cot. He’s got his arms wrapped around Billy’s torso. “Come grab his legs. We’ll do our best not to jostle his wound,”
You come to a kneel at Billy’s legs, placing a comforting hand on his knee. “Do your best to relax, okay? If you tense, you might tear your stitches,”
Billy lets out a harsh breath through his nose, clearly nervous, but he nods anyway, brows furrowed in determination.
Together you and Sam hoist him up. He gasps, groaning as his wound pulls but you can see how he’s trying to keep his stomach untensed. Getting him into the back of the wagon is not graceful, and you find yourself spewing endless apologies the whole time despite the relatively short journey.
Sam’s laid out a bed of hay covered by two thick blankets throughout the entire bed of the wagon. Crates of food and other supplies take up half of the bed, but he’s managed to make it so Billy will have enough room to lay comfortably on his designated side. Billy sighs as he’s laid down on it, one of his legs bent at the knee and his palms pressing into the makeshift mattress as he cranes his neck up to look at you. You ball up a spare blanket, tucking it under his head before you push him back down with a gentle hand on his forehead.
“Rest now, Billy,” You tell him, crawling out backwards and helping Sam slide on the rectangular backing on the wagon to secure it shut. “We’ll be there when you wake up,”
His eyes stay locked on you as you circle the wagon towards the front. Sam helps you up onto the spring seat before jogging around the rear and hauling himself into the driver's seat. You smooth out your tunic, looking around the dark street for any suspicious or wandering eyes that might be peeking out from around buildings or through windows. You don’t see any, even as one of the horses whinnies when Sam urges them forward. The clinic is located towards the edge of town, so it only takes a few minutes of nervous eyes and your head on a swivel before the wagon is passing the final few buildings that mark the town’s end of population and you can relax.
You blow out a deep breath, meeting Sam’s equally relieved gaze as he snaps the reins and nudges the horses a little faster. You look over your shoulder to check on Billy and you’re expecting to see him sleeping, no doubt still exhausted from the trauma of taking a bullet. Instead, he’s looking at you, head twisting so he can see your elevated frame from his laid out position. His eyes seem to pierce into yours, so blue and intense as he watches you that it makes your breathing hitch in your throat.
You’ve never seen eyes so beautiful before. Like endless pools of glistening water. Surely God must have taken much care when crafting them for him.
You feel your skin prickle under his stare, body straightening in your seat. He doesn’t stop watching you.
“Sleep,” You tell him. “You’re safe, I promise.” And thankfully he listens, eyes trained on your face for just a moment more before closing his eyes. The tingling feeling in your body dissipates with the removed gaze.
Your gaze turns around the front again, looking out to the vast stretch of land before you as you leave the civilization of town behind.
“Sam,” You start, looking for anything to pass the time and distract from whatever unusualness just happened between you and your charge. “How’s your mother?”

first of all i love you. really. everything that you're writing is making my life so much better, so thank u <3 if that's okay for u, could you write something where reader is a single mom, she has a little girl and her daughter is very attached to billy? and it's the most sweetest thing ever cause billy loves her, calls her little princess (very sweet tooth 😭) one night, her daughter asks billy to read a storie for her to sleep and he does so and in the end, she says something like "i wish you were my dad" and it's just so cute and funny cause she gagged everyone, reader is like "babe!!!!" while billy is in shock but at the same time his heart is melting 🥺🥺 (sorry if this is too much, just write if u want!)
oh im. gonna cry and sob and piss everywhere this is the sweetest softest thing ive ever read yes oh my god
billy would be so so sweet with your daughter, especially if she was around 4-6 years old. at first you were worried that a man like him wouldn’t want anything to do with a single mother, especially one as young as you. but he never asked you to explain, and never judged you for it. all he ever did was treat you like a queen, and your daughter like a princess.
and your little girl is just enamored with him. she follows after him like a little duckling, so much so that billy starts to call her “ducky”. it makes her giggle every single time, always makes billy smile all warm and fond. they get on like a house on fire, your man and your baby girl. billy teaches her things like how to ride a horse, how to tie all kinds of knots, how to rope a little goat even. your daughter tells you one evening, her little face very serious, that she thinks “billy knows everything, mama. everything!” you want to let her believe it for as long as possible.
on this particular day, all 3 of you had spent the day together. billy had showed up bright and early to take you for a picnic out in a meadow behind your house, a daylong excursion that lasted until the sun slowly set. it was late spring, cicadas beginning to sing in the tall grass. once it got dark outside, billy pulled out a jar and showed your daughter how to catch fireflies. once they had about 10 of them, they sat on the blankets with their heads ducked together to observe them, giving each one a unique name.
“let’s call this one tommy,” she says, pointing at a bug near the bottom.
“perfect name, ducky. how’d you get so good at this?”
your little girl giggles, shrugging and letting billy name the next one. it makes your heart so happy to see a man with so much patience and love for your daughter.
when you finally return to the house, it’s time to get your kid ready for bed. tired and pliant from her long day outside catching bugs and weaving flower crowns (that of course billy taught her how to do), she goes down without much of a fight. she does ask billy to stay and tell her a bedtime story, though, and he’s never been one to deny that sweet little face whatever she wants.
you half-listen as billy spins some wild tale about a princess who slay dragons herself, one who doesn’t need a prince to come and rescue her. she’s strong and brave and guess what? she looks just like your little girl, same hair color and little lilac colored dress. his story makes her smile, even as her sleepy eyes begin to blink more slowly. when he finishes, he leans down to kiss her forehead softly and tuck her blanket around her small little body.
“i wish you were my daddy,” she murmurs sleepily, rubbing her eye with one small fist. you see billy freeze and slowly look to you, unsure what to say.
“oh, baby—“ you start, taking a step forward. billy gently cuts you off, which you welcome, not sure what to tell her.
“you know, ducky, sometimes i wish that too,” he whisper conspiratorially. her eyes light up curiously.
“really?” she asks, looking up at him.
“mhm,” he says with a nod. “but i think this little thing we have going here is even more special. you know why?”
she waits for an answer, eyes full of curiosity and wonder at the man sitting on the edge of her bed.
“because i didn’t help to give you life, life gave you and me to each other. and that’s pretty special, don’t you think?”
your little girl smiles, nodding her head. you swallow hard, your eyes feeling a little misty at the way he loves your baby and she loves him. it’s so pure, so unconditional the way they’ve attached themselves to each other.
billy smiles at her and brushes her hair away from her face, giving her chubby cheek a soft caress.
“sweet dreams, baby girl.”
“goodnight billy,” she says with a little yawn, snuggling down into her pillow. billy blows out the oil lamp beside her bed, following you out of her bedroom and closing the door softly.
“i’m sorry if i overstepped, i didn—“ he’s cut off by you grabbing his face and pulling him down into a dizzying kiss. you smile against his mouth when he doesn’t hesitate for even a second to kiss you back, his arms winding around your waist to pull you closer.
“thank you,” you whisper when you finally break away for air. “for loving both of us, for taking care of us.”
“sweetheart, you don’t have to thank me for that. i’ll always be here to take care of my two best girls,” he says with a grin, tucking a lock of your hair behind your ear. “and who knows? maybe one day soon you’ll let me put a ring on that pretty little finger and that little girl in there can call me whatever she wants.”
#oh im sobbing this is so sweet#lowkey i wanna make a series now of little moments with billy and reader’s little girl#anon#billy the kid#billy the kid x reader#billy the kid x you#tom blyth#tom blyth x reader

The Kingdom of Wishes- A “Wish” Rewrite
Chapter 15- At All Cost?
Chapter 14
Asha is now in the middle of the wishes room, staring at the queen standing on the king's study.
She feels her heart racing for a moment, she's scared... But then she remembers what she's holding right now, her sketchbook and her magic pencil.
She has nothing to fear, if anything, it's the queen who should be scared.
After glancing at the objects in her hands, Asha takes a deep breath and calms down, and faces the queen boldly.
The queen smiles at that, as she begins to speak with her usual honeyed voice "Hello dear, such a pleasant surprise to have you back so soon." She looks down to Valentino, the goat in cowering between Asha's legs and shaking in fear at the sight of the lynx next to the queen, her smile widens "Awww and you even brought a little snack for my pet, how thoughtful." she lets out a quiet chuckle.
Bravo is salivating, staring at the baby goat with predatory eyes.
Asha starts to think on what she can draw, the queen hasn't moved yet, so maybe she can ramble with her for a bit and then catch her off guard...
Asha realizes how the queen looks older than the last time they've met, not too old, but the white hair streak and the subtle wrinkles on her previously perfect skin are noticeable... Just like Aster, she sees this change as an opportunity to make fun of the royal.
"Yeah, glad to be back. Though I thought my last visit here in the castle was 2 days ago, but judging by your face it must have been AGES, huh?" Asha says with a smirk, knowing that would infuriate the queen.
And she was correct, for the queen's smile immediately fell into a cold glare.
(This is the closest I could find in the movie of Amaya looking evil)
"It is churlish to comment on a woman's age, have you no manners?" Her tone is condescending.
Asha simply smiles, seeing that struck a nerve "These are just the manners you deserve, "your highness"" She says the formal title with sarcasm.
The queen looks at her with a serious expression as she raises one eyebrow, almost impressed with how much that sweet and insecure girl they met changed so much in so little time... But her smiles returns slightly, because she has already planed on how to take all that courage out of her.
"You really think so? This way you might hurt my feelings, child..." She places a hand in her chest making a fake sad expression, that instantly returns to a wicked smile as she takes a potion flask from inside the front of her dress "Perhaps I should give you just what you deserve as well."
Asha notices the flask and instantly turns to her sketchbook to try drawing something "What a coincidence, I was thinking the same thi-"
But before she starts to draw, she notices... The floor she's standing on is covered with something... Something shiny, that look's like blue sand.
She glances around the room and sees that the whole floor around her is covered with a thin layer of this weird sand, Asha has a puzzled expression.
The queen notes her confusion "Ah, I see you finally noticed the fire salamander ashes, quite pleasing to look at how they sparkle, don't you think?"
Asha feels a chill run down her spine as she hears the word "fire" coming out of the woman's mouth "W-What?" She turns to the queen, and sees she's now opening a flask with an orange shinny liquid inside.
"Oh yes, it is known as one of the most inflammable components in the magic world, and it also so happens to have such a beautiful reaction when mixed with dragon's blood..." She explains like she's just sharing an interesting fun fact about her hobby as a potion maker, her tone becomes sinister as she opens the flask and asks "Would you like to see?"
"No- NO NO WAIT!" Asha screams in desperation, completely forgetting about her magic pencil as she takes Valentino in her arms to protect him from what she already knows is coming.
The queen drops one single drop of the shiny liquid on the floor, and a HUGE blue flame forms in front of her, spreading slowly to the whole room covered in fire salamander ashes.
(If you're wondering where the heck Amaya get's all these ingredients, let's just say that line she had in the movie about "Why a sorcerer needs what a sorcerer needs is not your concern" is a line Magnifico probably said to a lot of soldiers he sent off on dangerous quests over the years.)
The queen laughs maniacally as she snaps her fingers, making the huge door made of mirrors close in front of her, trapping Asha in the fiery room.
The flames are spreading and approaching Asha slowly, she thinks fast and pulls from her sketchbook the drawing of the flying carpet.
As the carpet flies out of the page, she jumps on it with Valentino. Now they're both safely flying above the flames, surrounded by the wish bubbles.
The queen has no idea they're safe from harm, and Asha smiles with that notion. She'll open the door sooner or later to see if Asha is dead, so all the girl has to do is play along and pretend she's in mortal danger.
"THERE'S SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU LADY!" Asha yells from the carpet, trying her best not to laugh while faking she's scared for her life. Valentino also catches on to the plan and lets out some fake scared bleating, Asha pets him to show she's proud.
The queen falls for it, as she says in sarcasm "Who meee? Why, all I want is to give my beloved pet some freshly cooked meat" She's sitting down with her back against the wall of mirrors, as she too pets her lynx's head gently... Her eyes light up as a devious idea pops in her head, so she says with her words dripping with venom "...Besides, wouldn't you agree this is the most fitting end for you? To burn into ashes just like your dear mama and papa?"
Asha is stunned at the mention of her parents, but her surprise quickly turns into anger "Don't you DARE talk about my parents!" She almost forgets she's supposed to sound scared right now
"Awww sensitive topic, my flower? If it serves as any consolation, they would've suffered way more had I picked how to kill them." Her voice has a twisted sense of humor hanging on every word.
Asha's eyes widen "... Wait... What did you just say?"
"You see, Magnus has always been more of a "Get things done quick" kind of man, and although I love that about him, I oh so wish we had gone with my plan of poisoning their garden..." Amaya continues casually like she's just sharing small talk with the poor girl that is having this terrifying revelation unfold before her "But oh well, I suppose starting a fire with magic was simpler. Such a shame you weren't inside with them, would've spared us a lot of grey hairs." She says as she holds a strand of her newly white hair streak.
Asha feels her world crumble as she process what Amaya just told her...
All this time she thought it was just bad luck, that they had an accident with the fireplace or dropped a candle... But it was them...
Everything was because of them. The reason she never got to learn how to draw with her mother, the reason she never got to hear her father stories, the reason she never got to grow up with them, the reason she and her Saba were alone... It was all THEM.
Asha sees the fire consuming half of the room bellow her, the flames are reflecting on her eyes as she asks with her voice more furious than ever "WHY?! WHAT DID THEY EVER DO TO YOU?!"
The queen laughs at the question "You are just like them, darling. They were worthless little weeds festering in our garden, inspiring our roses to grant wishes by themselves. We simply had no choice but to root them out." Amaya explains with her voice turning more and more maniacal as she finishes "And now, it's your turn to join them!"
... That was the reason? Because her parents encouraged people to chase after their wishes? Her parents lost their lives... Because these two sickos wanted to control EVERY SINGLE PERSON in Rosas?!
Asha sees that the room is almost fully consumed by the flames, and so is her heart consumed by anger. So she lets out a scream, from the pain she feels in her chest and also to trick the queen into opening the door.
"AAAAAaaAaaaAAAAAaAAAH!!!"
The queen is content hearing the girl painful screaming, thinking that's the last sound she'll ever hear from her.
"It seems your meal is ready, Bravo" She says with a twisted glee while getting up, Bravo looks just as exited as his owner.
The queen snaps her fingers, opening the huge door made of mirrors. The whole room is covered in bluish flames. With one drop of another flask she had with her, this time with a blue liquid, the fire is quickly extinguished like the flame of a candle being blown out.
Once the fire was gone the queen expected to see the girl and her little goat lifeless bodies laying on the floor... But they're nowhere to be seen.
"... What in the-"
"Looking for me?" Asha's voice comes from above.
The queen quickly looks up, gasping in shock when she sees the girl flying on a magic carpet.
The queen barely has time to react before Asha jumps from the carpet, and with one swift move of her hand, points to the surprised lynx, wordlessly commanding the carpet to deal with him.
The carpet flies towards the queen, and she cowers in fear and closes her eyes trying to protect herself. But her eyes quickly open again when she hears her pet meowing desperately, the carpet took him and flew with him to outside the window.
(Ya know, originally I was gonna write a chase scene between Valentino and Bravo, but I realized we kinda don't have the time and I'm not feeling like writing that, soooooo I just throw the cat out the window instead. He'll be fine.)
"MY BABY!" The queen shrieks, worried sick for his safety
"Relax, I sent him somewhere safe. Unlike YOU, I'm not a monster." Asha sounds fierce but also with a hint of pain in her voice, like every word that comes out of her mouth gives a sting in her heart, as she's fighting to not cry in front of the queen. "Valentino, go hide while I deal with her." Her voice is serious, while she's flipping through the pages of her book, and once she finds the one she was looking for she pulls out a sword just like the one she used to practice sword fighting with Aster earlier.
The queen sees Asha doing magic in disbelief, as she's now walking backwards slowly shaking her head "no" with a terrified expression.
Asha doesn't hear Amaya whisper under her breath "That boy didn't say anything abo-"
The queen stops mumbling when Asha begins to run, charging towards her with sword in hands, ready to attack.
Amaya tries to run out of the way, but she trips on her own dress and falls on the floor.
Now, Asha is the one in control, pointing her sword to the woman laying down beneath her. Her enraged face shows clearly that she's after revenge.
Amaya for the first time loses her composure, and stutters in a desperate attempt to reason with her "A-Asha, now now ca-calm down, listen to me-" her voice is helpless.
"NO! YOU LISTEN!" Asha's voice echoes through the large room "All the pain and suffering I've went through ALL MY LIFE ties back to the two of you! All because you wanted to keep this SICK AND TWISTED sense of control over everyone in Rosas." She points the sword closer to Amaya's neck, the older woman is shaking "But guess what, no matter what you did, you could NEVER control me! I overcame everything you threw at me, and now, I'll make sure you two can NEVER hurt anyone else ever again!" Asha raises the sword above her head to strike down the witch-
...
But Asha stops.
She can't do it.
She's not like them.
Asha looks down on the queen breathing heavily and lowers her sword. She doesn't know if she's doing the right decision... But that's her decision.
The queen sees Asha's hesitation... And a smile slowly creeps in on the corner of her red lips "You can't do it, can you dear?... Because unlike me, you're not a monster." She repeats what Asha said moments ago with a faux soothing voice.
Asha quickly points the sword back to Amaya's neck, as a warning that if she moves Asha won't hesitate anymore, she speaks with the queen with a cold expression "I never intended to kill neither of you anyway, the plan was just to-"
"Apprehend us and have Rosas decide our punishment?" The queen finishes her sentence, now with a full smile. Asha's eyes widen in surprise "I must say, I found that part of your little plan quite adorable, so nice of you and your friends to show us mercy." Her voice mimics a sweet tone, dripping with sarcasm.
Asha feels a chill run down her spine when the queen mentioned her friends... This, and the trap that was set up for them in the kitchen... How did they know?
"How? HOW did you know we were coming?!" Asha tries to hide her fear, speaking angrily while getting the blade closer to the queen's neck.
Amable doesn't even flinch, she simply warns her "I'd be careful with that blade, my sweet. You lay one scratch on me and my darling king will be quite upset." That doesn't really phase Asha at all as she just squints her eyes at her, wanting some answers, so the queen gives her an answer "Let's just say a... Sleepy little pawn of ours made himself quite useful."
Asha's eyebrows scrunch in confusion, she thinks for a moment and... Realization hits her.
"... Simon?" Asha's mind is rushing, she's stares at the queen nodding positively in front of her, and she feels like she's the one who was cut by a blade... He betrayed them?... No, he wouldn't, the king must have forced him "What did you two do with him?!" She asks furious.
"Nothing at all, he ratted you out. For you see my dear, our "sick and twisted sense of control" you speak of runs oh so much deeper than you think" Asha is staring at Amaya straight in the eyes, so she doesn't see that the queen's hand is reaching for something inside the a hidden pocket inside her long skirt "You can't trust anyone in this kingdom, in the end, they're aaaaall just little pawns in our game of chess."
"You're wrong... Simon didn't tell you our whole plan. If he did then you'd have known about my magic." Asha says with certainty, not fully understanding what happened yet, but still believing that her friend at least fought against telling them everything.
"Indeed, he failed to mention it, which gave you an advantage... However, it hardly matters how many advantages you get, for when playing chess-" Her smile widens into a maniacal expression, and she raises her hand holding a potion flask that was hidden inside her dress "The QUEEN is the strongest piece on the board!" She throws it on the floor, it shatters, creating a cloud of thick blue smoke.
Asha coughs, that caught her completely off guard. She looks around and can see nothing but the thick blue smoke, she tries not to breathe too much of it in by covering her face. Still holding on to her sword tightly.
The queen is no longer on the ground, Asha can't see where she went... But she hears the sound of something made of metal hitting the floor.
She turns to the direction of the sound-
Queen Amable took a sword that was previously decorating the wall, and is now running to Asha ready to attack.
Asha gasps in surprise, raising her hand drawn sword to defend herself, and she succeeds. The two are now pressing their swords against one another, with the queen trying her hardest to get Asha out of balance to stab her.
The queen fights the girl with finesse and precision, like this is something she has experience with, while Asha's movements are more clumsy and rigid, but she's still more agile and relatively stronger than the older woman, since she was cursed and is now 10 years older than she was previously.
(Cute fun fact I guess: for the longest time Magnifico was a bit paranoid that if people found out they were evil and a "hero" could try to defeat them, so, just like how Asha practiced with Aster, he taught Amaya how to defend herself just in case anything happened to him... I hate them, but I also love them as a couple)
As their swords clash against one another, the metallic sounds echo through the room. Asha tries to show confidence, smiling while they fight "Y-you two won't win! Magnus doesn't stand a chance against Aster in the forest, he's gonna be here soon and-"
The queen can only laugh darkly as she speaks "Oh darling, it is your little star who doesn't stand a chance! For you see, dark magic is not be his only weakness! Hahaha"
Asha is still fighting, but her face looks concerned...
Aster's weakness?
Now... We cut to the woods.
We see a dash of light quickly flying through the trees, until they reach a specific one and flies to the top of it.
The dash of light is obviously Aster. He sits on a tree branch and knocks on the tree "He'll be here any minute now, you guys ready?"
From a role in the tree, two round shinny eyes open, and a voice comes out sounding mysterious: "Of course, a pleasure to be of service."
"Great, thanks again for the help fellas" Aster smiles excitedly, he looks down, just waiting for Magnifico to show up on the trail bellow.
... But then he hears something...
Instruments... Again.
The instruments sound slow, like they're warning Aster of something, and judging by Aster's annoyed face it's something they've already been alerted about before
"Yeah, I knooooow I can't let him get my magic. Don't know if you guys realize but that's the whole reason I'm trying to break that staff in the first place." Aster speaks looking up with narrowed eyes.
The instruments sound... Worried? I don't know how one would describe a worried orchestra, but it's like they're playing cautiously.
Aster this time responds calmer, trying to reassure them "I am being careful, I swear. I won't let him-" Aster stops for a moment and thinks... He doesn't actually knows what would happen if the king got his power, well, except for the part that without his magic he can't exist so the king would pretty much kill him. But Aster doesn't know what would happen to the king and queen... He might as well ask "By the way... Has that ever happened before? A human absorbing a star's power?"
The stars go quiet for a moment, before a single flute plays a small sad melody
"I see..." Aster has a worried face "And what happened then?"
Aster listens to the orchestra sounds, it's an ominous percussion mixed with some erratic violins.
Aster listens to it all attentively, his face slowly becomes more and more shocked, as if he's listening to something out of a horror story.
He slowly nods, humming a little with the concern now growing inside him too.
But then he hears one thing that gets his attention.
"Wait wait wait back up" The instruments all stop "What was that about "The human fell into madness"?"
A single cello plays a small melody... Aster's eyes widen.
"Huh, really?... I wonder if the king knows about that..." Aster ponders quietly. Then Aster hears a sound that is not instruments this time, but a twig breaking on the ground bellow, Magnifico's coming "And speak of the devil, that's your cue friends." Aster says knocking on the tree.
Down bellow, Magnifico is walking on the trail, with trees all around him. He's holding his staff over his shoulders casually as he singsongs to himself:
"Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder where you are..." the king looks around the woods... It's quiet... Too quiet. The star is plotting something, but that's alright, because so is he "Come out come out lad, we both know you can't hide from me the whole night long... I just wish to have a little chat with you." The king says in a faux friendly voice.
"Yeah you can keep wishing that but I ain't granting it!" Aster's voice comes from the tree tops
The king looks up with a wide smile, ready to cast a spell to capture the star. But his smile instantly vanishes as the green light from his staff reflects on many tiny eyes staring down at him, revealing that on the trees above there's a whole army of Genets ready to pounce:
(Genets: Slender cat-like nocturnal animals that can be found in Spain... Imagine a bunch of these fellas staring down on you at night, terrifying me thinks)
They all jump on the king, climbing all over him and scratching his clothes. Magnifico screams while holding tightly to his staff and trying to protect his already scarred face
"AAAAH GET OFF ME YOU WRETCHED- NOT THE FACE NOT THE FACE!!" Magnus is wobbling around covered in wild cats.
Aster lets out a childish laugh as he cheers while flying above the desperate king "Yes! Get the face everyone! And also those fingers if you can! Hahahaa"
The king turns red with fury "ENOUGH!" he uses his magic to throw all of them away from him, some genets scatter while others stay, ready to attack him again, but the king is having none of that "GET NEAR ME AGAIN AND I'LL MAKE FUR COATS OUT OF YOU"
The all get scared, and run away to the depths of the forest.
Aster looks sad for a moment but he has no time to think too much about it, for the king immediately turns to him and tries to capture him once more.
Aster swiftly dodges the king's magic and hides behind a tree.
He then shrinks down to the size of a hand. He's the size of tinker bell.
The king is catching his breath after all the commotion, but he has enough energy to scream some facts to the star "Just accept it, boy! You can't best me! throw me your plants and I'll burn them, throw me your animals and I'll scatter them!"
Aster face is deep in thought, he hates to agree, but they have indeed been in this game of cat and mouse for a while, and Aster is not even close to getting that staff, not to mention how they hate to put even more animals in danger...
The king upon receiving no snarky comment in return, calms down slightly, knowing that the star deep down is just as tired of this game as he is...
He reaches for something inside his vest.
"So how about we stop playing, and just talk things out, hum?" Magnus voice is once again "friendly" but with a clear ominous undertone.
Aster thinks... He might be able to catch the staff while the king is distracted blabbering whatever he has to say... So he plays along.
"You really must love the sound of your own voice, don't ya? All you do is talk all the time." Aster's snarks while hiding behind the tree "Fine, what do you wanna talk about so bad?"
We don't see what Magnifico pulled out his vest, but he's holding a small object on his hand. Looking at whatever it is with a mischievous smile.
"That girl... You love her, don't you?" The king asks nonchalantly.
Aster's eyes widen in shock... EVEN HE NOTICED?!
Aster knew he couldn't let this man know how he and Asha felt about each other, as he'd totally take advantage of that, so the star tries to lie "W-what?! What you talking about?! We-we like- We just met 2 days ago! That's crazy talk!" Aster is a terrible liar by the way.
Magnifico has a pleased smile, as he walks forward to where Aster's voice is coming from, he's holding his staff with one hand while hiding the other behind his back. "And I fell in love with my wife in two minutes or less, what's your point? Heheh" he chuckles like he's reminiscing of something, but then continues, sounding as if he's talking to a stubborn kid that refuses do admit something obvious "Come now, starlight. Wishing stars are supposed to only give humans some guidance, but here you are going waaay above and beyond your purpose, breaking all the rules for her... Because you love her~" He singsongs that last part as if to make fun of the star.
Aster is about to say something when he notices that Magnifico is getting closer to his hiding place, so he flies to the ground, still on his miniature size, trying to hide in the low vegetation and move to somewhere else.
Magnifico notes the silence, and just chuckles "Well, either I'm right, or you're just too incompetent to even guide her at all, aren't you?" The king says jokingly.
That strikes a nerve with Aster, as he's quite done with the stars calling him incompetent and naive for so long. The star is still hiding in his small size but his voice is just as loud as it would be if he was normally sized:
"You know what?! YEAH we are in love! And it's thanks to our love that we'll defeat you! Because we'll fight to protect each other, at all cost!"
The king's grin grows even more devious.
"At all cost? Hmm, how charming." The king coos, and we see him holding the mysterious object tightly and focusing to perform a spell... He whispers some words in latin:
"Ligneus. Pupa. Crescere. Et dolus."
Aster doesn't hear what the king just said. but suddenly, he starts to hear the stars all speaking with him at the same time, the instruments play alarmingly all at once. They're speaking over each other, so Aster doesn't understand, the star looks up in frustration and whispers "Guys o-one at a time please- UGH I don't understand nor have time to talk ri-"
"Did you hear that, Asha? I told you he cared." The king speaks sweetly with someone else.
Aster feels the world stop when he hears that name come out of the king's mouth.
Aster flies out of the bushes and sees it... Magnifico is holding Asha by her shoulder, she's tied up by a rope made of green magic, her mouth is covered and she's struggling to free herself.
The star doesn't even think before he returns to his normal size, their animation looking rough and sketchy as he yells "GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF-"
Aster sees a giant green hand made of light coming in his direction.
The star remembers he can't let himself get caught. In the blink of an eye he stretches his body down, like he's made of rubber... Get it? He's animated like a rubber hose cartoon for a second.
Aster dodges the king's magic once again and flies to hide behind a large tree.
"Ha! Almost caught you this time!" The king exclaims victorious while laughing.
Aster's mind is rushing with questions as he starts to panic... How did he get her? Is she hurt? Their plan went wrong? How can he save her?!
In the confusion that is their mind, they can't focus to listen what the stars are trying to tell him, the stars are just muddled voices to him now.
"I bet you're wondering how I found her, aren't you?" The king asks with a sadistic sweetness in his voice, holding the girl close to him "See, while you were flying away and hiding, like a coward, a guard came into the forest to tell me they found the poor thing lost in our garden" His voice is filled with a mocking fake sadness like he's describing a tragedy "And she just wouldn't stop calling your name... So here he is Asha, your daring "hero" hahaahaha!" His evil laugh echoes through the woods.
Aster didn't even know he could feel so much fear and anger at the same time. He places a hand on the ground and uses his magic to try attacking Magnifico with vines.
The king notices the plants beginning to grow next to him from the corner of his eyes, and his smile just grows as he says "Ah ah ah, I wouldn't do that if I were youuu~" He points his staff to her face, with the green gem shinning brightly and menacingly.
Aster can hear Asha muffled screams in fear, and he get's the message. He stops the vines from growing. The star looks down defeated.
Magnifico sees the vines retreating, and takes the staff away from her face "That's better. Now! How do you feel about a little bargain?" His voice is full of excitement like he's a con man ready to make a big deal.
Aster may be naive but even he knows where the king is going with this, and his not falling for it "Do you think I'm an idiot!?" The star asks angrily
"Why, yes! Very much so!" The king answers gleefully.
"You want me to surrender in exchange for Asha's life... But we both know your word isn't worth anything!" Aster is trying to speak boldly to mask how scared he actually is.
"*Gaaaaasp* You think I would lie?? Meeee??? I'd never!" The king says dramatically with sarcasm clear as day "Hehe jokes aside, I can assure you I NEVER break my end of a deal... If you don't break yours." He puts emphasis on that last part, he then begins to speak very quickly the terms of their deal "So here's the trade off, you surrender in, let's say, the count of 5, and in return I'll have your little doll here sent to some other kingdom where she'll be safe from harm and can live on to thrive and chase after her dreams yada yada yada happy ending! What do ya say? Come on."
Aster is too overwhelmed to think- He obviously can't trust Magnifico's word, but if they don't do as he says then Asha is done for- But who's to say she'll be safe later when the king has his mag-
"Let me make this easier for you... One"
The king starts counting.
Aster mind is spinning, he tries to think clearly, but his emotions are clouding his judgment. The stars voices are just white noise.
"Twooo"
The king prepares to use his magic on the girl.
Aster feels some tears form in the corner of his eyes... He promised Asha he would't let himself get caught but-
"Threee"
Aster hears Asha's muffled voice screaming for help, but not the stars above him...
He breaks his promise.
"ALRIGHT!" The star yells, flying out of their hiding place, with his hands up.
And before he knows it, there are glowing green chains on his writs that quickly pull him closer to where the king and "Asha" are. Once the chains are on him the sound of messy orchestra instruments stops all together, since Aster's powers are diminished by the dark magic, he can no longer hear the stars.
The star doesn't struggle, accepting his loss. The king pulls him in closer and closer until Aster is standing right in front of him, Magnifico looks down on him with a cruel smile.
Aster is not looking at him, his eyes are full of sadness and fixated on the ground, unable to face "the girl" the king's holding.
"Awww why the long face, little one? Here, she's free just as promised." The king snaps his fingers and "Asha" is free from her restraints, now just standing still next to him. "... Any last goodbyes before I send her off?" Aster doesn't notice but Magnifico is trying his best to hold in his laughter.
Aster can only look down, not wanting to face her yet, but he apologizes for not granting her wish "... Asha... I'm sorry... I tried everything I could but- I failed." a single tear runs down the star's face as he begs her "When you're away from here... DON'T come back, and DON'T look back... I just want you to be safe and-" Aster stops as he finally looks at her face.
It's devoid of emotion... And her eyes are soulless... Like a dolls eyes.
Aster is worried that Magnifico did something to her, he reaches out to hold her hand "Asha? What's wro-" but when he holds her hand... There's nothing... No star inside of her... That's not Asha.
As realization dawns on the star, Magnifico can't hold it in anymore "Pffft HAHA HAHAAHAHAAH HAHAHAAH"
With every "ha" Aster's face becomes more furious, both angry at the king and himself for falling for his trick.
"YOU LIED TO ME!" Aster shouts as he tries to get away from Magnifico, who simply pulls him closer by the chains so they're face to face.
"Did I? I thought I was quite clear." He smiles sadistically "I said I'd "have your little doll sent somewhere safe", remember? Aaaand" He snaps his fingers, and the magic that made up the fake Asha disappears like it was blown away by the wind, and all that is left of her is a small wooden doll. The same wooden doll Magnifico made for Asha all the way back in chapter 4.
(... Get it? He turned a wooden doll into a real girl... Like Pinocchio... Heheheheh *Jumps out the window... Gets back to write the rest of the chapter* ahem, anyway, congrats @gracebeth3604 you guessed it, I made Magnifico pull a Hades move on our wonder boy)
"Here she is!" Magnifico exclaims excitedly while placing the doll inside Aster's chained hands "She's all yours, lad! You can even choose where you want me to send her while we go back to the palace." Magnifico says like he's doing Aster a favor. He starts walking and pulling the star to come along.
Aster looks at the doll with rage and throws her away into the bushes.
Aster tries to pull away from the chains and keeps himself still with his feet fixated on the ground "I AM NOT LETTING YOU USE ME TO HURT THEM! IF YOU THINK I GONNA JU- GHHAaaAAaAAAaaaA!!!" Aster feels a shock wave of pain course his body as the king uses a spell to electrocute him, his animation becomes fully disjointed like he's struggling to keep his physical form. Once it's over, Aster can only kneel down in pain.
"Not so funny when it happens to you, is it?" Magnifico's eyes are now full of spite, highlighting the scar over his left eye "I've enjoyed this little game of ours but we really must hurry, I'd hate to keep my queen waiting... Not to mention, your girl is just DYING to see you too."
Aster is weak from the pain but he manages to look up to the king.
"W-what...?"
Did they get her?
We now cut back to the palace, Asha is still fighting with the queen.
The girl looks exhausted, swinging her sword around and defending herself from the unhinged woman. She doesn't have time to stop and take her sketchbook to draw something else to attack.
But Asha slips up, and Amaya manages to disarm her, throwing her sword away to the other side of the room.
Asha gasps in shock.
"NO!- UGH!"
The queen KICKS the girl's legs, making her fall on the ground, now their positions are reversed from how they were before.
Asha looks up horrified to the queen pointing the blade to her face, she's looking down on the girl with a smirk "So... Ha ha- how's that for an "old lady" huh?" The woman is panting like she could collapse from exhaustion at any moment, but she still keeps her composure as she threatens the girl bellow her.
Asha tries to reach for her sketchbook tied to her belt, but the queen quickly takes it off her hands. Asha doesn't have time to react before Amable throws it away to the other side of the room.
Asha is petrified, she has nowhere to go.
She can see Valentino hiding behind the curtains of a window, he's scared.
"You put up a good fight child, but I'm afraid this is where your story ends, with you... All alone." Amaya raises the sword to end the girl's life.
Asha can only close her eyes and prepare for the impact... Until she hears a familiar voice
"Think again WITCH!"
Both Amaya and Asha are startled by the sudden scream, however, a smile quickly appears on Asha's face when she sees who it is.
Amaya turns around and is quickly knocked out of balance by something pushing her to the side, away from Asha. The queen drops the sword on the floor.
What pushed the queen was Dahlia's crutch, as the girl is now standing in front of Asha offering her a hand with a relieved smile "Sorry we took us so long, you okay?"
"Better now you're here!" Asha hold her best friend's hand and goes in for a hug, feeling relieved to see her safe. While they hug, Asha opens her eyes and sees that behind Dahlia there's also Gabo, Hal, Bazeema, Safi and Dario. All of them glaring at the queen laying on the floor.
"Ho- HOW DID YOU BRATS GET IN HERE?!" The queen demands to know, her hair is partially covering her face, she looks like an absolute mess.
Hal points to the small elevator on the wall, used to get food from the kitchen straight to the king's study "Did you forget how you get your meals everyday?"
(How did all 6 of them fit in the elevator?... Same way they did in the movie, cartoon logic)
Amaya just groans in frustration as the teens walk closer to her.
Asha gets her sketchbook on the floor, she sighs in relief before saying with a smile "*sigh* Alright, just like we planned, everyone" She begins to draw some squiggly lines on her book, and as she touches the page the lines come out as long pieces of rope.
Her friends all get a piece of rope. And they walk to tie up the evil queen.
(Hahah get it? The 7 dwarfs references are the ones who save her from the evil queen! Heheheeh I love when references fit the narrative)
The queen's screaming for them to stay away from her in the background. But we focus on Asha, who's calling Valentino to come out of his hiding place.
The baby goat does so, rushing to her arms happily. Asha hugs him with a big smile "It's alright, I'm fine" She reassures him, and also reassure herself.
Asha looks around to her friends and notices... There's one missing.
"... So it was true" She begins to speak with Dahlia, the only one that didn't go help tie up Amaya, preferring to stay by Asha's side "Simon really did betray us..." She sounds hurt.
Dahlia places a hand on her friend's shoulder and explains "At first, yeah, he did. But who do you think pulled us up here?" She smiles at Asha, and gives her a wink.
Asha's eyebrows raise "Wait... So he changed his mind? How?" She asks confused
"Let's just say the king's mind control was no match for the power of friendship... Also Gabo kept screaming and swearing at him like a sailor." Hal said joyously.
"I told him bad words he didn't even know existed! And I'm literally younger than him!" Gabo says proudly while pulling a rope to tight up the Amaya's arms on her back.
"He can pull himself up the elevator, so he'll be here to help us pretty soon!" Safi comments.
Asha is happy that her friend came to his senses... But she still has a bad feeling.
"Did he say how much he told about the plan to Magnifico?" Asha asks Dahlia, with concern clear in her voice.
Dahlia's smile fades, she also seems worried "He doesn't know actually, he can't remember much about how the conversation went."
Asha looks down and thinks for a moment "... Okay, he didn't tell them about my pencil, so maybe he didn't tell them everything, we can still win." She smiles confidently.
Asha and the teens are suddenly startled once they hear a familiar voice shouting aaaaaall the way down the stairs of the palace:
"NO NO IT'S FINE, I CAN GET HIM UP THERE ON MY OWN! YOU ALL JUST SOUND THE TRUMPETS AND GATHER THE CITIZENS!" The king's voice echoes through the castle, he's talking to the guards in the entrance.
"Aster!" Asha exclaims worried.
The queen is all tied up, smiling in the background.
"I- I gotta go help him! You all stay here." Asha rushes to the door.
"Oh no we won't, we're not leaving your side again!" Dahlia exclaims holding her wrist.
"No, you don't understand, Magnifico CAN'T get even close to you all, not while he still has that staff, I won't let him hurt you." Asha explains to her friend with a serious expression "I'll find a way to save Aster and break it... Somehow." She doesn't sound so sure of herself, but she knows she has to try.
"And how can you do that?" Bazeema asks concerned
Asha holds her sketchbook and her pencil and starts drawing a key "I'll use my imagination" She smiles.
Asha pulls out the key from the page, she turns to tell her friends one last thing before leaving. But when she turns something catches her attention, on the king's desk there's a a small cloth bag full of blue sparkly sand, the bag is labeled "Fire Salamander Ashes". Asha takes the bag from the table and says quickly "Also this might come in handy."
She opens the door with her hand drawn key and tells her friends one last thing "No matter what you guys hear, don't leave the room." She runs down the long flight of stairs.
Meanwhile Magnifico is dragging Aster up the stairs, the king looks exhausted as he tries to perform a teleportation spell to get them to the top, but he can only teleport a few steps up.
"ARGH I'm gonna give myself a splitting headache because of you!" Magnifico says, with a hand over his forehead, he speaks to himself under his breath "Never had to teleport so many times in one day, thought such a simple spell wouldn't exhaust me that much..."
Aster hears that, he's still struggling to not get dragged away by the king as he exclaims "If just teleporting a bunch of times to get us here gives you a headache then you REALLY not gonna like what'll happen if you get my magic!" This isn't a bluff, but an actual warning, as Aster remembers what the stars told him... Maybe he can convince Magnus to stop "LISTEN! My powers may seem weak now, but even the most powerful of sorcerers couldn't handle the power of a star inside them, it's TOO MUCH for a normal human to handle!"
"Yeah well, good thing I'm no normal human." The king says with a frustrated expression while dragging the star up the stairs.
"YES YOU ARE, MAGNUS!" Aster screams, trying to reach out for some sense of humanity inside him.
"Don't call me that." The king warns sternly, he's not looking at Aster as he speaks.
"You only have power at all because of that green gem on your staff. And even with it, you're not strong enough!" Aster continues while still getting dragged by the king
"I'd really not test my patience right now if I were you, boy." He sounds more and more angry.
"I'm trying to save you! If just performing a spell way too many times gives you a headache then MY POWER will make you LOSE YOUR MIND-" Aster tries to spell it out to Magn-
"AND I WOULD RATHER LOSE THAT THAN LOSING THE WOMAN I LOVE!" Magnifico shouts, now looking straight to the star behind him, enraged in a way the star has never seen before.
Aster goes silent, staring at the king in shock and... For the first time feeling like the man was 100% honest with him.
Magnus takes a few seconds to realize what he just said out of anger and exhaustion... He puts himself back together, straightening up his posture and taking a deep breath, before looking down to the star with his usual smile full of sarcasm "Thank you for the concern, Aster. Really appreciated, but you have nothing to worry you shinny little head about" He taps on the star's forehead with one finger "I've already planned on how to get myself a-... Let's say a "Power boost" before performing the spell to get your magic humhum" He chuckles lowly, excited to show the star what he means by that "Besiiiiiides, all the sorcerers that tried to yield the power of a star only went mad because they tried to do it on their own, while I have someone to share it with."
Aster is dumbfounded... The king KNEW that the power of a star can drive someone mad... And he choses to go after it anyway because he THINKS that by sharing it with his wife they'll be fine?... Aster realizes he is too far gone.
"Nothing I say is gonna change your mind, is it?" Aster asks with frustration in his voice, the king simply shakes his head "no" with a smug "... Then you don't love her at all, you just wanna use her to get more power." The star says with a scowl.
The king is stunned for a second by the gall the star has to say that, before his rage comes back at full force, he doesn't take his eyes off the star as he makes shock waves of pain go through Aster's body again, the star kneels down in agony.
"ASTER?!"
Asha's voice comes from the top of the stairs, surprising both the star and the king, but they're surprised for completely different reasons.
Aster looks up to the top of the stairs with a huge smile despite the pain he's in right now "ASHA!"
The king however turns to her in bewilderment "YOU?! HOW ARE YOU STILL ALI-" He stops as he has a realization... His face turns into a cold glare, hiding a hint of worry in his voice "Where's Amaya?"
Asha ignores the king's question, as she's already drawing the first thing that came into her head to stop him.
She throws out of her sketchbook what she just drew and...
A hand drawn piano manifests right above the king
"WHAT THE-"
BLAAAAAAM
The piano fell on the king. And keep in mind Simon didn't mention the magic pencil, so from Magnifico's perspective Asha just randomly manifested a piano out of nowhere.
Aster is free from the king's restraints, and he quickly flies up to Asha and gives her a hug, Asha hugs him back and the two have a second to breathe and be relieved that they're both okay.
"I was so worried about you! Are you okay?" Asha asks holding his face with both her hands.
"I'm the one who should be asking that!" Aster sounds worried sick.
"I'm fine, the others saved me from the queen, she's all tied up. Now we gotta focus on breaking that staff" She looks down the stairs to the destroyed hand drawn piano that the king is under "Do you think that was enough to knock him out?"
Asha's question is immediately answered by the remains of the piano being engulfed by green magic. It begins to float as the king violently throws it out of the stairs.
(Yeah sorry, he's unfortunately fine, because cartoon logic and this ending would be underwhelming.)
They can hear the loud sound of the piano falling on the ground bellow, as well as the sound of the king practically roaring in anger. He gives the two teens a death glare while trying to stand up.
"NOPE!" Aster answers, holding her in his arms, Aster flies as fast as he can up the stairs, fast enough that the king doesn't have time to catch them with his magic.
He does however have enough energy to do one simple spell. He snaps his finger, which locks all the doors that lead to the wishes room.
Asha and Aster are in the treasure room, the dimly lit room where Magnifico and Amable sang "Wish Away" to her.
The two of them are startled when the entrance they just went through shuts behind them and one second later the exit does too, they're trapped in the dark and large room full of treasure exposed like a museum.
But Aster quickly comes up with a solution.
"I-I'ts okay, I can unlock the door!" The star reaches out to use their magic, but Asha holds his arm.
"No! We can't keep running away from him, otherwise we'll lead him straight to the study, to where my friends are." She explains to Aster with concern, but also determined to fight back instead of running.
"Then what do we do?" Aster asks her quickly.
"I- I... I have a plan." Her face lights up with an idea, as she holds the star's hands "I don't have much time to explain so pay attention-"
"Oooooh Asha~" The king's voice comes from the other side of the door, he's getting closer.
Asha holds the star by the wrist and guides him to hide behind one of the many artifacts in the room "Aster- Turn into your human disguise NOW." They're now crouched down, hiding behind a small pillar with an old vase on it.
Aster is confused "What?? But I can't use my powers when I'm in that form." Aster explain nervously as they hear the king's footsteps approaching
"You can't glow either, you need to stop glowing so we can hide in the dark." She whispers quietly, her glance is practically rushing the star to just do as she says.
Aster doesn't know what she's planning but he trusts her wholeheartedly. He quickly goes from a 2D drawing with shiny hair to a 3D animated character like Asha, with normal blonde hair.
"Okay, so what do we do no-"
They hear the door opening.
The two teens keep their mouths shut.
"... Playing hide-and-seek again, little star?" Magnifico's voice echoes through the room, he lets out a low chuckle and says "Alright, let's play one last game."
Aster and Asha are staring at each other, it's dark but they can see one another thanks to the dim blue lighting above the treasure they're hiding behind. They hear the king's foot steps as he slowly walks around the room looking for them.
Asha can feel her heart pounding, how can she tell the plan to Aster if they can't speak?
...
She remembers they both know how to communicate without speaking.
She begins to speak in sign language, Aster can see her hands under the dim light:
"I'll make a distraction, while you take this and spread it all over the floor when he's not looking" She signs and takes from her belt the bag of blue dust she took from the king's desk.
Aster doesn't understand what that is or how she can distract him at all, he signs to her back "How are you gonna distract him?"
She's about to sign to answer his question, but then the king begins to speak casually
"Ya know, Asha. I'm actually so glad you evaded Amaya's trap, truly I am." We see the king looking at his own reflection in one of the artifacts in the room, not really in a hurry to find them "For you see, I have a little secret I wanted to share with you... Wanna know what it is?"
Asha obviously doesn't respond, she's holding her sketchbook and pencil like she's preparing to draw something, she tries her best to focus and ignore whatever the king is talking about.
"Your grandfather's wish." Asha's eyes widen, she stops drawing "The very thing that started all this... Yeah, me and my wife miiiiiight have told you a little fib, shocker I know heheh" he jokes, as they both know all they've done is lie to her from the start "But I decided to come clean, since I happen to actually remember now what his wish was: "To inspire the people of Rosas with my songs"" The king quotes what the wish was, with a clear tone of disdain.
Asha feels like everything fell into place... Saba really was just like her... Or maybe she was a lot like him. This is probably the first time anything the king says brought her a sense of actual comfort.
Aster is surprised as he himself didn't know what Sabino's wish to the king was, but by pure coincidence it's the same thing he guided Asha to do.
But the king obviously is not sharing that to give her a wholesome moment or anything, he continues with a smirk "I'm sure now you see that I did him a favor by never granting that wish."
Asha's face becomes an angry glare. And she begins to draw something in her sketchbook quickly.
The king can hear the sound of the pencil sliding on the paper, and he follows it while speaking calmly "I mean, if I did grant it, he could've ended up crossing the line... Like you did."
Aster notices he's getting closer and looks at Asha anxiously as if to rush her to finish what she's drawing already. Asha looks like she's almost done.
"And when you cross the line..." Magnifico grin widens, he get's closer to the sound and...
He sees Aster dragging Asha to a different hiding place as fast as he can, but not fast enough.
Magnifico uses his magic to grab Asha with a giant hand.
"AAAAGH!" Asha screams as the king raises her up.
"NO!" Aster yells in desperation
"THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES!" Magnifico says with a twisted glee, and he throws the girl all the way to the other side of the room.
Aster runs to where she is, but to no avail as Magnifico holds him with his magic. The man is laughing maniacally as he walks to the girl.
"Ha ha aaah and it looks like I win our little game, now who would've thought?" Aster is struggling to free himself from the king's magic while Asha is laying on the floor, looking up in fear "But I'm afraid you won't get to see what happens next, my dear." He grins as he points his staff to her, but just when he's about to charge up an attack-
"W-wait!" Asha exclaims, looking up terrified "... Can I just a-ask one thing?"
The king raises one eyebrow "Your last words? Hmm it's cliche, but oh alright I'll allow it, what is it?" He asks with a relaxed smile.
Asha looks down defeated "I- I just wanted to say..."
She looks back up to him with a smug.
"I got way better at drawing self portraits, didn't I?" "Asha" asks full of confidence.
Magnifico's evil smile disappears, replaced by a face of pure confusion, completely taken aback by the girl's random comment.
"Wha-"
"Oh yeah! You look amazing, and I look pretty good too." "Aster" comments cheerfully, still tied by Magnifico's magic, but he doesn't seem to care at all anymore.
The king turns to the star in confusion, not understanding what these kids are talking about... But he notices something he didn't see before because of how dark the room is... "Aster" is black and white.
Before he has time to fully process that, the two living drawings smile at him while going from 3D animated, to 2D, to looking like rough sketches, until they both disappear completely.
... He got tricked.
"Hey Mag!"
Asha's voice comes from behind him. He turns around in shock, and sees the REAL Asha and Aster as standing in front of the now open exit. Aster is back to his 2D glowing self, and he's holding a now empty cloth bag.
The floor is shining with blue dust all over it.
"Here's a little trick your wife taught me!" Asha exclaims with a defiant smile, and she throws a hand drawn fireball from her sketchbook.
The fire hits right in front of Magnifico. A large black and white flame grows, it looks like scribbles one would draw on paper, but it shines and burns just as much as normal fire, and it's spreading all around him.
Magnifico get's so startled by the fire that he finally lets go of his staff for a second.
And that second is all that Aster needed. The star stretches his arm all the way to the other side of the room, grabbing the staff and bringing it to them.
(I mentioned on Aster's "How I'd Reimagine the Characters in Wish" blog that he could stretch his body, but he kinda never used this ability, so what better moment to have him use it than now)
"No-NO WAIT!" Magnifico is trying to avoid the flames as he begs.
Aster spins the staff in the air before HITTING IT ON THE FLOOR with all the strength he can manage.
"AAAGH!" Magnifico quivers and yells in pain.
The gem is broken.
Asha and Aster run out of the room, and Aster locks the door behind them with his magic.
They can hear the king's painful screams coming from the other side of the door...
The two run up the stairs that leads to the wishes room, Asha is breathless as they stop in front of the door of the king's study.
"... We did it? We won?" Asha asks almost in disbelief, but with a smile already beginning to form in the corners of her lips
Aster looks to the staff now with no green gem on his hands, and let's go of it, letting it fall on the floor, he looks to her with a bright smile "... Yeah, it's over!"
Asha hugs him and laughs in relief. Aster holds her tightly while spinning her in the air.
"That was GENIUS!" Aster exclaims once he stops spinning "You finally figured out how to draw yourself!" he sounds proud of her, as he knows that was a skill Asha always struggled with.
"All I needed was to understand what I was drawing... And now I do." Asha says with a warm smile, placing a hand on her chest, reflecting on how this whole experience helped her understand who she really is.
She pulls Aster by the hand for them to go through the door of the wishes room. "Come on! Let's go tell the others."
Once she opens it, they see her friends all around the door waiting for them, Gabo is holding the sword Amaya was fighting with earlier, like he's ready to attack if who came in was Magnifico.
"ASHA!" They all scream in excitement and relief. Everyone rushes for a group hug
Including someone who wasn't with them earlier, but managed to pull himself up the rope elevator.
"YOU GUYS ARE OKAY!" Simon exclaims, embracing the whole group with his big arms.
Asha is smiling despite almost suffocating in the group hug "Heheh yup, we're fine, but we still got some wishes to free!"
Her friends let go of the hug, fully focused on the task at hand.
"Right! Aster, give us a lift to the ceiling will ya? There are some pulleys up there, that must be how we can open it!" Gabo exclaims, pointing to the top of the wishes room.
"Oh-ho! A few lift ups coming right up!" Aster says cheerfully, and uses his star dust on a few of the king's books, making them float to the wishes room, just waiting for the teens to get on them so they're lifted up there.
The teens run to the wishes room, Asha stays behind in the study for a moment to see... The queen is all tied up, looking at her in horror.
"Where is Magnus?"
If it was anyone else Asha would probably feel sorry for her, but this woman deserves no sympathy. So Asha just says with frankness "Burning down stairs. You're a widow, again. Consider that my wedding anniversary gift."
(Yeah I couldn't fit anywhere else so here's a reminder that back in chapter 2 Dahlia's mom said they had to go to the market to get her some ingredients, because she had to make a cake for the king and queen's wedding anniversary, and guess what? That is TODAY! So uuuuh yay tying up with the 100 anniversary disney movie theme... Also they kinda canceled the celebration for obvious reasons.)
The queen holds in a gasp, as if her cold heart just shattered.
Dahlia was next to her friend and is surprised by her tone "Woah Asha, I know she's evil but y-"
"They killed my parents, Dahlia." Asha puts it simply to her best friend while walking to the wishes room to join the others.
"THEY WHA- OOOH That's what you GET you WITCH!" Dahlia shouts in Amaya's face, now fully on board with Asha.
(I love that witch is the closest I can get to have them calling her the B word)
We see Gabo, Dario, Safi, Hal and Bazeema all being lifted up by the books, as there are 5 pulleys for each one of them to pull.
Aster is flying around the wishes, looking in amazement to the blue ones, and holding the green ones, which makes them turn back to their original blue color, un-cursing them. He is flying around repeating the process on as many as he can.
Asha looks up to her friends and the wishes, she smiles in relief that everything is finally falling into place... But then she notices Simon is standing in the corner of the room, his eyes are downcast.
Asha walks to him "Simon, you okay?" She asks him worriedly.
Simon doesn't even know where to begin his apology, for everything. He looks at her full of regret "Asha... I'm sorry, I am so so sorry." He begins, Asha looks to him and listens attentively "I don't expect you to forgive me. I was so scared that we could get hurt- I just- I couldn't believe that everything we knew was a lie" he begins to tear up "... And I wanted so badly to believe in him-"
Asha gives him a hug.
"... You were hurting in silence for so long because of the things he did... And I was too, we all were." Asha says calmly, trying to reassure her friend "What matters is that he's gone now, he can't hurt us anymore."
Simon has tears running down his face but he hugs her with a smile.
Aster flies closer to them, holding a wish bubble "And I think THIS belongs to you!" The star says warmly
Simon and Asha still can't see what's inside the bubble, but just by getting close to it Simon can feel it "My wish?" Simon asks in surprise "... No, I don't deserve it, I put all of us in danger and-."
"Everyone deserves to know their wish" Aster tells him with a bright smile "He tricked you, so what? Happens to the best of us, literally happened with me today"
"The important thing is that you see the truth now." Asha says, she looks at Simon and then at the wish with a smile, as if to encourage him to get it.
And he does so, reaching out for the bubble, and once he holds it reveals the image of Simon wearing knights clothes... Simon's smile is replaced by disappointment.
"Well... This is awkward." He says letting go of his floating wish "That's not what I wish for anymore... Guess I can't have it back."
"Hey now, that's not how it works." Asha smiles as she holds his wish "It's not about what the wish IS, it's about what it MEANS." She repeats what Aster told her back in the cave when they were talking about her wish, the star smile widens at that. Asha continues to explain "Sure, on the surface it may look like all you wish for is serve the king... But there's so much more to it than that." She places the wish in his hands "You wish to protect those you care about, like you've been trying to protect us this whole time, because even without your wish, THAT'S who you are. This wish is what makes you... YOU." Simon's smile returns "And NO ONE should live a life without being themselves fully." She finishes, her eyes sparkling with joy for her friend finally getting his wish back.
"... Thank you." Simon takes his wish and brings it to his chest, it is quickly absorbed.
Immediately there's a change in him, the bags under his eyes are gone, he gets a better posture as his back becomes straight, his smile widens once he realizes for the first time in 3 years he's not feeling exhausted.
"Woah... I forgot how this felt like heh" Even his voice is more full of life now.
"Uuuuh hate to interrupt the wholesome moment, but we're having some trouble up here!" Gabo's voice comes from above them.
Asha, Aster and Simon look up, seeing that the teens are struggling to pull the ropes to open the ceiling
"Do you think you can use your magic to open it, Aster?" Asha asks him
"Those panels are waaay too heavy for my dust to make them float..." They explain disappointedly
"We need more weight..." Hal says, she looks down and thinks for a moment, and an idea pops in her head "Alright! Who here ever wished to be an acrobat?" She asks them excitedly while preparing to jump with the rope tied to her hand
"What are you doing???" Safi asks her worried
"Follow my lead! YOOHUUUL!" She jumps with the rope, pulling the triangular plate from the ceiling right open.
All the teens understand the plan, as Dario doesn't hesitate and jumps right after her, followed by Bazeema, Safi and lastly Gabo.
The ceiling is open.
Asha is jumping with joy as the wishes begin to fly out of the castle.
"Well done guys! You're ready Aster?" She asks the star thrilled
Aster is just as thrilled as her when they answer "I fell down here ready!"
He flies up to the middle of all the wishes. The star focus his magic and opens his arms wide, magically turning all the green bubbles into blue ones.
The teens and Asha clap and cheer from bellow. While Bazeema is holding Valentino in her arms.
Aster looks beyond relieved he was able to actually do this... After this, Asha's wish will be granted.... And even if that means he'll have to leave, he couldn't be happier that he could give that to her.
Aster prepares to send all the wishes back to Rosas "And now! Time to return you all to who you belon-"
(*siiiiiiiiigh* ... I hate myself for what I'm about to do with these kids)
...A giant green orb holds all the wishes...
Aster sees he's surrounded by dark magic. He is mortified by fear.
And so is Asha as we see her and the teens looking up in horror... The magic that created the orb came from behind them.
Asha can't move, she doesn't want to turn around, but she hears that condescending voice she thought she'd never hear again... And he sounds very excited about his big entrance:
"Surprise~ Did you miss me?." Magnifico's voice echos, and all the 7 teens turn around to see who they already know who it is.
King Magnifico is completely unharmed, holding the staff with no green gem on it with one hand, while hugging a now untied Amaya with the other, they're both smiling deviously at the frightened teens.
Asha hasn't turned around yet.
"I certainly did, darling. Although, I didn't doubt you'd come back for a second." The queen says honestly, as that heartbroken expression she made earlier was just an act, she knew Magnifico had a precaution in case they got his staff.
Asha finally turns around, she's trying to hide her fear as she speaks "How? W-We broke the gem from your staff, how did yo-"
"Oh you mean this gem?" Magnifico says casually while pulling a glowing emerald from inside his vest... The actual gem from his staff.
Asha is stunned, and so is Aster, watching them from the bubble, trying to get out.
"Fun fact about magic power sources, kiddos." He explains like he's teaching a class, while placing the gem back into the staff "Although it is easier to use them in an amulet or staff, if you have it with you anywhere then its magic can still be used however you please." He fits the gem back into its original place, finishing his little explanation "And that includes making it LOOK like the magic is coming from a fake power source, such as that one you broke down stairs." He smiles at Asha triumphantly.
"... You knew we were planning to break it." Asha already suspected it from the moment Amaya told her Simon betrayed them... But she was hoping maybe he didn't say that part of the plan, or the king was too full of himself to come up with a precaution.
The two royals are walking towards them as the queen says "Of course. Thank you so much for the tip, Simon, we really couldn't have done it without you." Her voice once again has a mocking motherly tone to it as she speaks to the oldest of the group, who looks like he wants to burry himself on the ground right now with all the regret he feels.
"I- I DON'T REMEMBER TELLING THEM THAT!" Simon exclaims to his friends, who are all looking at him with sadness in their eyes, except for Gabo who looks ready to kick his kneecaps
"Well you were rather sleepy, perhaps it slipped your mind heheh" The king's eyes glow green, just to indicate what he did.
The two of them are approaching, but Asha is not about to just stand by and let them win like that, she's in front of her friends as she prepares to draw-
"Ooooh no you don't." Magnifico uses his staff to snatch the sketchbook off her hands
"NO!" Asha tries holding it with all her strength, but it's no use, as the sketchbook flies straight to the king's hand.
And just like that, Magnifico summons a green flame with his hand and burns the sketchbook.
Asha feels tears form on the corner of her eyes as she watches all her drawings burn in front of her.
She still has her pencil though, which she discreetly hides inside her sleeve.
"Welp, this was fun and all, but I think it's high time we get to the main event of the night." Magnifico says as he and his wife walk, looking up to the trapped star above them, who has been throwing himself on the walls of the large bubble all this time trying to get out.
Asha wipes away the tears forming in her eyes, she's NOT letting them win, she's not letting them get Aster.
"ASTER! Can you hear me!?" The star stops trying to get out and looks down to her, nodding "yes". So she continues to shout "If you get ANY chance to escape, do it! GO BACK TO THE SKY!" She begs him, knowing that's the only way to protect him and Rosas "Don't look back! It doesn't matter if my wish isn't granted! I just need you to be safe!"
Aster is looking down to her already with tears in his eyes. She's saying pretty much the same thing he asked to that illusion the king created in the woods...
And said king is standing right behind her "Giving up at last? Good. But I'm afraid our star is not going anywhere." He grabs her by the shoulder and pulls her closer to him, threatening to use his magic on her while looking up to Aster with a threatening smile "If he does, I might take my anger out on someone else, and we wouldn't want that, would we Aster?"
Aster looks down shaking in fear, his animation is more sketchy... He can't do it, he can't leave her.
Asha get's out of the king grasp and turns to him in defiance, refusing to show weakness "I'm not giving up! And neither will anyone else in Rosas, even if you get Aster's power, they will NEVER knell to you!"
Magnifico and Amable just look really amused and even intrigued by her boldness, after everything she still has spirit... And they can't wait to break it.
Magnifico leans down to look at her angry eyes "You really think so?" His eyes move away from hers, and he changes his focus to the 7 teens "Hmm let's test that theory..." He begins to walk towards them, ignoring the girl "Ooh Simon~ I believe you just stole something of mine-"
Asha doesn't think twice before holding him by the cape and pulling it.
"Leave them alone! I'm not letting you hurt them-"
Magnifico holds her with his magic and THROWS Asha to the bookshelves on the wall, the girl screams in pain upon impact and falls on the floor.
Aster can't be heard from the bubble but he's clearly screaming. While the teens gasp in fear.
"Frankly Asha, you REALLY should start worrying about yourself once in a while." He says sarcastically while turning back to the other teens, specifically to Simon.
Asha is laying on the floor in pain, but she sees the books that fell down from the bookshelf... Paper.
That's all she needed.
"Now where was I? Ah yes, you stole a wish from me." He chuckles darkly and speaks in mocking reprehending tone "Tsk tsk tsk first you break your end of our deal and now this? Asha really is such a bad influence."
Simon is no longer scared, but rather furious with every word the king just said "This wish is MY wish! And YOU are the one who broke the deal! You said Asha wouldn't get hurt!"
"Ah ah ah wrong in both instances. First of all: I said IF you kept all your friends locked up, then I, as in ME, Magnifico, wouldn't hurt her... But my dear wife promised you nothing, sooo really it's your fault for forgetting she existed, young man." He explains smugly.
"Indeed, how dare you?" Amaya complements, like she's offended he forgot about her.
Asha is quietly ripping off a page from a book on the floor. She tries to think on something to draw... But nothing comes up, her head is pounding in pain after being thrown to the bookshelf. And all the ideas that do come in her head just sound too risky, if she messes up the king will break her pencil.
"And second of all: ... I believe you misunderstand what I actually DO, Simon. So allow me to explain." His voice is more menacing this time as he approaches them, Simon has his arms open to shield his friends behind him "When you give me your wish, you're not just lending it to me, no no no, you GAVE it to me... So I can do whatever I want with it."
That get's Asha's attention as she tries to get up, using the desk to balance herself.
"No one agreed to tha-"
"SO" The king interrupts Simon and places a hand on the young man's chest, surprising him and all the others "If I say I want to change your wish, I will. If I say I don't want your wish to be granted, then it won't be" A blue light starts glowing on Simon's chest, the boy looks scared at the king smiling deviously to him "... And if I say I want your wish BACK"
He pulls out Simon's wish. Simon immediately feels himself grow weaker.
"Then I'll take it back." Magnifico says simply while looking at the blue orb.
Simon feels hopeless, the fire he had in his eyes a moment earlier is all gone.
Asha sees this happening all the way back in the king's study, she hides the piece of paper she got inside her sleeve. She's still trying to stand up as she asks.
"Y-you ugh- You can STEAL people's wishes?!"
"Oh I "wish" heheh" He laughs at his own joke "But nah, I can only take back from those who have given it to me once willingly." He holds Simon's wish in his hand with a smirk "Now the question is... What should I do with this one?" It's a sarcastic question, as he knows exactly what he'll be doing with it.
Simon is horrified, thinking the king will change his wish into something else, maybe even control him.
"Ah I know, how about a little demonstration of what happens with wishes in this real world? heheh" His grip begins to tighten on Simon's wish.
Simon gasps in pain as his legs go weak, his friends all worriedly ask what's going on with him and try to help him stand up.
"They get CRUSHED." The king destroys Simon's wish. Absorbing it's energy like it's the most wonderful sensation going through his veins.
Simon collapses, his knees on the floor as his face is now lifeless.
His eyes are unfocused. He's catatonic.
"Si-simon?" Dahlia tries to shake him to wake him up, but he's not responding, he's just breathing.
Asha is still in the king's study, shaking her head "no" in disbelief.
Magnifico pulls her back to the wishes room with his magic.
"What was that you said about Rosas "never kneeling to me", Asha?" He says smugly, pointing to Simon kneeling in front of them.
"What did you do with him?!" Asha is struggling to get out of his magic's grip
Magnifico just ignores the question and lets go of her, as he walks to the center of the circular room.
But Amaya gladly explains with a wicked smile "Have you forgotten what kind of wishes he takes? Your deepest desire that shows who you ARE, one might even call it... Your soul." Asha and the other teens look at her shocked. "Or at least HALF of it, people still need the other half to keep living or whatever." She finishes dismissively
Magnifico hits the floor with his staff, sending magic waves all around the room. And before they know it the whole room is being lifted up.
He then turns to Asha with a menacing grin "And ya know, your sweet little star did mention I'd have to be very powerful in order to sustain his magic... So take a wild guess where I'm getting that extra power from." He gives her a clue by looking up, as if he's pointing to the wishes trapped above them with his eyes.
Asha looks up at all the wishes and then to him in disbelief "No... You can't- They didn't do anything- They don't deserve-"
"I decide what everyone deserves." He puts it simply with a grin, as they reach the top of the tower.
Chapter 16
Final Thoughts
... So... How many of you fell for it? I mean, maybe it just felt like an obvious fake out death to me because I'm the twisted and sleep deprived mind that came up with it, but come oooon ya'll didn't think I'd only end ONE of them, right?
But if you're DONE with Magnifico and Amable, don't worry I am too, can't wait for them to be defeated next chapter, for real this time, no cap, we'll get a happy ending for our traumatized heroes I swear.
But let me lighten the mood with an imagery that cracks me up every time I think about it... Magnifico sneaking in the room while Asha is having her little speech with Simon.
Like dude just got in like:
Then he unties Amaya and listens as Asha is like "He's gone now, he can't hurt us anymore" and they're both thinking like "OOOH WE GONNA HURT THEM SO BAD LMAO" like the abusive parental figures they are, because that's what they represent by the way, they're like Mother Gothel and the whole population of Rosas is Rapunzel.
Asha is better than me by the way, like, if I saw this man alive again after ALL that I'd just do like Bravo and jump off the window. But she just keeps going, keeps finding new ways to fight back, I love my girl so much, like, you guys may think I hate her for putting her through this, but I can't wait for us to get to her happy ending! BUT I CAN'T RUSH IT OTHERWISE IT'LL RUIN THE WHOLE THING.
Anyway, this is already way too long, pray for Aster, I think ya'll can guess what'll happen to him next chapter, and pray for Rosas, because Magnifico will not be making them knell down by being chaining them to the ground like in the movie... Sooo yeah.
Thank You For Reading!

(Author Notes)
Panel 1: They observe a very impressive pumpkin being shown off by a proud halfling farmer of about the same height.
Laudna: You could make a lot of soup with that.
Imogen: Mm-hmm. Lotta soup.
Farmer: nice to see young folks appreciatin’ the good things in life
Panel 2: They look at some prize-winning horses.
Laudna: You should have entered your horse! I’m sure she would have won. Flora is far prettier than all of these ones.
Imogen: We did use to do that. Flora even got a second-place ribbon once. Nowadays we don’t really like drawin’ attention to ourselves, though.
Panel 3: They walk around arm in arm. A traveling katari “wizard” is juggling Dancing Lights. A “mind reader” supposedly from Ank’harel is impressing people, sparking indignation from Imogen.
Imogen: Oh, so it’s okay if he does it?
Laudna: I don’t think he’s even from Ank’harel.
“Mind Reader”: Ah, yes! The Three of Wands!
His Thoughts: small-town buffoons will believe anything
Small-Town Buffoon: well I’ll be
Panel 4: In the foreground, we see a child playing with a simple sillgoat marionette. Laudna seizes Imogen’s arm in delight.
Laudna: Imogen! That goat! I must have one!
Imogen: That li'l puppet? Bet we can find one around here . . .
Laudna: For Pâté! He can ride it into battle!
Imogen: All right, let’s go see if we can find Pâté a steed.
Panel 5: On the midway they find a section of games, including a “dragon race” with lizards which some children are eagerly observing and a Three Billy Goats Gruff-themed bottle knockdown game with the coveted goat puppets on display.
Oldest Child: Blue! Blue!
Middle Child: Green! Green!
Youngest Child: (looking at Laudna) A ghost??
Carnie: (nervously) . . . Try your luck, little lady?

House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 1 Thoughts
Just clarifying, these are my own thoughts, you don't like them, don't bother telling me so. Also, I'm not a book purist, I like adaptions taking putting their own spin on things - if it makes sense to do so. So, here were my thoughts. Obvs, this post is dark and full of spoilers.
I loved the opening, the whole callback to the White Walkers which cements the true arc of ASOIAF (and feels a fuck you to s8)
THEY CALLED VHAGAR THAT HOARY OLD BITCH, ONE OF MY FAVOURITE BOOK QUOTES
Rhaenys ate, she fucking ate, that's it girl you remind Daemon of your daughter and his place (you know that Daemon loved that shit)
And Daemon? The whole mother vs the Queen speech? What do you think YOUR mother would have done? Alyssa Targaryen would have done exactly the same if it were you torn apart and you goddamn know it.
Yes, Corlys mourning Luke. Everyone mourning Luke 😭😭😭
Alyn of Hull, slay.
Am I the only one who kinda thinks that the Hightower Sigil looks a little clip-arty? It's just not it 😬
I really wish they made the scorpions look better. I just always thought that the weapons would be more advanced because they actually know dragons.
Aegon and Helaena, you can sort of see that Aegon does care about her but he just doesn't know what to do with her.
Alicent ALICENT WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. GET THAT MAN AWAY FROM THERE
Also Criston? Giving head? Yeah, I'd think the sharks are real before I believed that.
Where was the build up to... That?
I actually fucking shuddered. SHUDDERED.
Tyland don't fucking annoy that little boy.
Terms? You killed her little boy and you sent terms?
Yes, Aegon you humiliate that Lannister bitch.
Why is Jaehaerys so sweet? 😭😭😭😭
Dalton Greyjoy mention!!
Mine are Bigger - Actual Aegon II energy
Why is Aemond sitting there like 🥺🥺🥺? You fucked up my guy.
Emma is heartbreaking.
Syrax never grew? Why she so tiny?
Arrax was so beautiful.
The actual stab of grief I got watching Rhaenyra on the beach. That was her baby. That was her little boy.
Aegon the Magnamious?
Aegon being nice on the throne? Being kind to the shepherd?
Your goats? No, sheep even better. 🙂 Aegon, I am meant to hate you.
Otto get fucked, Aegon was doing his best.
Hugh? Hugh Hammer? Girl, get the fuck out of here, asking for money and shit.
I can see a lot of ppl going to whine about them humanising Aegon but it's necessary? Complex characters and our relationships with them is GRRM's greatest skill.
Larys get away from that boy.
This is a green heavy episode. I know why but still, give us some Joffrey maybe? Some House Baratheon shitting themselves? The Great Houses getting the news and going oh fuck?
Daemon is lowkey right, Mysaria did help place Aegon on the throne but she is also right, he's only that angry with her because nobody else around.
Matt's acting is top tier because you can really see the grief, the anger and the insecurity when he's snarking.
Rhaenyra's return. Her silence, it's fucking gold.
Jace and Rhaenyra 😭😭😭😭 His lil voice. 😭😭😭
Where was Jeyne Arryn? Why no Jeyne??
The funeral 😭 lil Joffrey is too lil. Jace holding him *raptor screams*
Alicent, the fit ate but what good are prayers? Go smack that son of yours.
Somebody hug Rhaenyra. Right now. Rhaenys? Elinda? Baela? Rhaena? Hold that woman.
The CRIME HOODIE is back.
I still hate the gold cloaks' cloaks. They look like piss rags. Does nobody on the staff know what gold is? Look at Sunfyre.
The actual book quotes 🙂🙂🙂🙂
The War of Quills and Ravens, yes, yes
Aemond don't sit with Ser Incelot, he hast done thy mother
Y'know what, Aemond is a lil right, he's getting the blame for starting the war but Alicent and Otto literally laid the foundations?
Why is Criston standing for Otto? He's not a member of the royal family.
Aemond, sitting in that chair is very Daemon of you
Otto, showing off his slutty lil wrist, your pour yourself a lil drinky girl
Blood and Cheese have a lil dog with them. Please don't let anything happen to the dog.
There's something always so eerie about all those tunnels under the Red Keep. It absolutely terrifies me.
Aegon and his buddies sitting on the throne gives off fuck boi vibes and the Strong joke was actually pretty funny.
That Viserys statue is not it.
Why is Blood so fucking massive?
Cheese, did you just fucking kick that dog? I will kill what you love you absolutely bastard.
Oh, those locks. The world building, oh the worldBuilding
The atmosphere is very well captured. The music is on point.
I love the detailing of the interiors of the Red Keep, it's so much better than the OG series.
Oh Helaena.
Helaena, my love. Why Helaena, why her.
Why didn't they just check themselves?
How the fuck did the writers make Blood and Cheese that lack lustre? How the actual fuck do you fumble that?
Alicent, my fucking eyes, MY FUCKING EYES
I'm giving this a 7.5/10. Everyone else was great but HOW DO YOU FUCK UP BLOOD AND CHEESE? HOW? HOW? I DEMAND A TRIAL BY COMBAT
Also I must say, the Biblically accurate Hand of the King chain in the trailer is very good.

Always a pleasure to see your talent! YEAH I LIKE IT ALL !🌸 _
I like the punishment for Valentino and the fact that Angel is choosing to have revenge. I think, for redemption, Charlie would not tell to her guests to fulfill revenge but if they ask and its deserved (like Val and Angel) I think she would accept without a second thought to punish the abuser/criminal for his victim.
Angel should also learn to move forward as for now, he will be free of Val and once its done, stay ptsd, trauma and mental business but its just you and yourself alone that can pull you through it. I think Angel will be a bit lost after Val death and little by little learn to breathe by himself again.
Exactly ! Use val if necessary of forget him. Perfect ! Thank you to explaining your pov!
I think for the drawing you show, the first drawing on the left where Charlie confront Alastor could be nice after or before the mission Alastor has to do with the gangs.
Alastor : I'm will kill something like 40 Sinners. Charlie : ... What did you just say ? Alastor : 40 deaths. Charlie : what ?! Alastor : This is fine. *meme*
_
Episode 6 will have so much happening ! I prepared well to not forget everything ! _
I KNOW I WANT TO GIVE SPOILERS FOR YOU BUT I CAN'T!
[*take the sacrifice and whispers* I can just say that Lolicia will have so many things happening in the same time that it will be too much and have dark consequences (until Constantine)]
And of course you are a writer too ! Don't doubt it ! If I choose to follow your storyboards its because it was well made, logical, something worth to work with *crying in goodbye at the last storyboard I finished to follow*
Ahah the "cries on the floor for lolicia" so cute.
_
A little thing about the encounter for Constantine and Lolicia is like... trying to find a metaphor... "Huge hurricane that only one person can transform back into a wind." And harp too.
Like Daemon singing to Vermithor (dragon) in the trailer of House of the Dragon season 2.
_
Oh yes its called slice of life ! I forgot the therm thank you ! _
Shen, my baby.
And yes Constantine and his parent relationship is sad and powerful.
For Shifu and Tai, I'm always for Tai in this but I don't hate Shifu at all of course. Its just that if Shifu known himself better, if he took more importance in Uguei words, it would have never happened. Tai is a warrior of strength and tactics, like the Five Cyclones (and Kai).
And its obvious that Uguei is a warrior of the spirit/shi will take someone more fated to be like him. Someone chill and less *fighting sounds*.
So if Shifu had opened his spirit, he knew that he created Tai just to fail Uguei test. And he just prepared Tai to be good at one thing. One ? That is not even sure will work ? So no plan B ? Because of the arrogance "I'm sure my son Tai will be Dragon Warrior". And of course Tai, when the 'NO' happened how could he understand ? All my life is plan A and I will never have my A ? What ?
Understandable!
So I that case, I'm Constantine's side. Sorry Luci/Lilith I adore you but damn, you broke your kid.
The wip story arc is very good ! Intense !
_
Honestly, a luxury and quiet ticket plane for the king !
_
So the Lucifer design (corrupted) :
So first his body.
In the different sources, Lucifer is said to be very beautiful, feminine, bat wings, ect ect. So I mixed all that.
So he has big bat wings that sprout from his back, two little red bat wings on his shoulders and two on his halo.
His halo is corrupted, shattered, and I couldn't show it in the drawing but it moves, shattered and comes back together over and over again, trying to fix itself and failing.
He has the golden scars and Morningstar symbol on his body like in your design ! And he also have the same beige goat legs that in your design (but I didn't have enough room on the same page to draw it)
In in torso, he is marking that look like an eaten apple ! If you just look like the contours of the apple, he looks more feminine. If you look like the actual shape of his body more masculine. Its like a illusion !
Hiding his private part, there is a snake face.
He has two manacles on his wrist to show that he is emprisonned in Abaddon's bowel and link to his throne and his fate.
His arms are dark like his neck, and there is one red eye on each of his forearm!
On his right shoulder and left thigh, his skin is shattered, inside its black and corruption pieces of the skin fly from it.
He has his wedding ring of course.
• When in good mood, Luci look more like a demon-like. Smiling, playful, manipulating, not caring. Its what demon are suppose to be. Dangerous tricksters !
• But when he is in bad mood (not his ultimate form) he is more an angel. Angel are inflexible and here is harsh thinking is also led by pride. So a prideful Angel.
His halo change and becomes a broken disc. (Like Abaddon has a disk with angelic writing when he takes his casual form)
The corruption get orders and try to get closer to the 'angel part' of him showing in anger. Like a reminder that his anger/envy/pride lead him to where he is.
His tail (like in your design !) shows up and the archangels wings (but not three of them). The red little bad wings on his shoulders transforms only in extreme cases.
His clothes are not too difficult, a bit military, with a snake belt and heart symbol for his family. And heart shape opening on the back for the wings !
His hair are blond on top and red underneath! (because most people say he is redhead or blonde)
And he is still a short king.
Thats it ! Tell me what you think ! I will keep this design for AA, but of course if you want to change something or for SSAU, I will hear everything! Hope you like it !
_
For Constantine's hair, I don't know because I like him with hair loose, braids or men bun, ponytail 🌸
Make doodles for yourself with his face and different haircut to choose (like he is in the hair salon!)
Personally, even if I love drawing long hair, I think, loose hair is something more intimate and tied up with accessories or braided, or just tied, its more formal day-to-day life. (Except with short hair) I dont know it it help...
_
Thanks for the explanation of swap AU ! I was just curious !
_
Thats sweet Constantine like Hellhounds babies !
Thank you for liking my writing so much ! I love faithful readers.
Don't worry for the reviews, there is no obligation. AND THANK YOU AGAIN AAAH🌸🌸
_
Ahhah Serenity : the bigger fish...snake. Snake, i mean. Alastor : My dear I beg your pardon ? Serenity : Snake. Alastor : wth
And I'm glad you liked the overlords meeting episode ! It was great to write!
_
Abaddon in terms of age ?
I mean, Abaddon has two ages, as he is both a place and an angel. So when he is the place (the huge version of himself we see a little in the short story when he eat the sinner) is like created in the same time as Eden or something.
But his angel self, the Abaddon we know is born just after Azrael. So I saw in a post you said this :
Michael-11
Uriel-10
Gabriel-7
Raphael-6
Azrael-4
Abaddon is here- 3,5 !
Jophiel-3
Lucifer-2.5
_
Thank you again ! For everything Take care and have a great day too 🌸🌸🌸
Yes, Charlie definitely think like that , she doesn't interfere, she ask Angel to make the decision.
-And for Angel, I really think you really think well his mental state after that arc, I seriously think you approach things in a realistic way.Angel's years of trauma and ptsd will not disappear immediately, it will heal over time.Seriously can't wait to see how the arc will work
-And yes, that Charlie and Alastor doodle might be the Inspiration how Charlie will react when Alastor destroys the gang.
So, after all, Alastor is an employee of the hotel and The hotel trying to save these sinners and give them a place where they can feel safe. But this small-scale massacre he committed goes against everything Charlie stands for.And since she accepted Alastor to the hotel, the things Alastor does are, in a way, her responsibility.
And lmao Alastor is definitely turning into a This is fine meme
Charlie may be a really kind person, but at the end of the day, she's the devil's daughter.shee also has limits and he shouldn't cross them for his own good. I hope Alastor will take his cards carefully while he's talking to her in future.
--
I'm ready for episode 6 LETS GOOOOO!!
---
WHYYYYY ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
WHAAAAT???! My question has been answered somewhat, but now I have more questions in my mind??
So Lolicia will experience so many things in a row that there will be so many of them that there will be dark consequences.Until Constantine...
WHAT HAPPENS?!??!???
But let's be honest now, beautiful loves also begin with tragedy uwu (Sorry, the angst lover locked in the cage inside me was let out for a moment)
-
And I'm so glad you liked the storyboards I wrote!! I am very happy that my writing was liked by a writer like you.
*Yes, goodbye story boards you were loved*
--
WHATTTT???YOU MAKE ME MORE EXCITED WITH EVERY SENTENCE!!
İs their first meeting, when Lolica is almost at breaking point due to the all things happened to her,is Constsntine will be the one to lend a hand to her.The person who turns the storm into a wind, the person who turns the flames of hell into A Heat that gives comfort to the peraon??
Or perhaps, in the darkness of the deep that is a light symbolizing the hope of rising to the surface. To breathe again.
I don't know, I'm just so excited to see!!!
Yes, I saw that scene in House of Dragon, it was really effective!!
--
I totally agree with what you say.Tai lung's fall is entirely shifu's fault he was Blinded by his pride And cub Tai just wanting to make his master proud, he made Tai lung believe his lies (these were lies that he even fooled himself with).
If he had listened to Uguie like you said, none of this would have happened. Uguei will never want an heir like Tai lung Tai lung's immense talent can be evaluated in a different way But Shifu ignored it. And Shifu's mistake caused Tai-lung to be imprisoned for over 20 years, unable to even move.
And yes, Shifu only prepared him for one thing, he was so intimidated by the Pride that he didn't even think about what would happen if he rejected Tai lung.
There is no Plan B and as you say, naturally Tai lung's reaction to this was not good. He's been groomed his whole life to be something, and now he's been rejected against all odds. What to do now?, Shifu never prepare him for plan B.And this was the reason why Tai lung threw a tantrum.
And the tragic part is Shifu didn't SAY ANYTHİNG.Nothing...he didn't try to object to Uguei, he dindt tried to console Tai lung He didn't say anything..
I'm sorry, Shifu may be you're a good master, but you were not a good father.
I'm really glad you're on Constantine's side!!
And even if you don't really want Lilith and Lucifer YOU broke your damn kid ,but he's getting better now, thanks to others.
--
First of all, I absolutely LOVE your Corrupted Lucifer Design!🤌🤌🤌🛐✨
Seriously, the details I mentioned are really wonderful, you are very creative🛐🤌🤌🤌
-I really loved the bat wings on his shoulders and the Halo wings at the end are also very cool. And the detail of it having a shattering halo is seriously spot on.And it is very clever that her body looks like an eaten apple and this illusion creates a masculine and feminine effect!!
-Also, the way his halo is constantly breaking apart and constantly coming together is a really great metaphor!
-It's seriously cool that she has menacles on his wrists, a testament to his punishment. And it's nice that his arms and neck are black from corruption!!
-And I think it's a very nice detail that corruption comes out like a disease! break the skin and spread.
And I loved the way you drew Lucifer's hair!!
It's a really nice detail that he still wearing his ring!
-I'm really glad you detailed the good and bad mode! I think you chose very logically. And I loved the balance and distinction between good and bad mood.
-I also really loved the events behind the appearance of Lucifer's Angel part!!
I seriously think you think the way you make his transform is pretty cool, it's scarier. And I really like that you gave him a more military uniform. And seriously, snake belt or a heart/apple symbol Details are amazing
And yes, red hair, probably if I designed Lucifer completely independently, he would have red hair. He is generally described as having red/dark orange hair. That's why making the roots of hishair red is a really clever and beautiful detail.🤌🤌
-I really like your design, I think you did a very creative job.The story details beneath his appearance was one word, it was perfect!!! I seriously love every detail.I seriously can't wait to draw this version of Luci!!🛐🤌🤌
---
And it really helped a lot!❤️❤️ Thank you so much for your advice about Constantine's hair!!
--And yes, one day he met one of them and showed her a little trick. After that, the puppies followed him at every opportunity and asked him to show them new magictricks.
(Puppies don't know anything about hierarchy)
-
Of course I love your writing!! You bless me🛐
-
Thank you for the clarification about Abaddon's age,And it makes sense to him have two different ages. And now that I know that Abaddon is one of the youngest brothers, I can die in peace rn. Lmao
Thank you for your answers and for blessing me with your wonderful Lucifer design. Have a nice day!! 🌸🫂❤️❤️

After an early breakfast (it's still raining cats and dogs in Brindleton Bay beyond the Veil. It almost seems like there's really no sunshine without Ji Ho).
Jack dragged Kiyoshi to the swamps to drag the TukTuk out and Vlad was just coming back from caring for the goats (they decided to move to the Screaming Mandrake due to the rain :3) and Adriano.
Jack: "Kiyoshi is so cool, huh?" Vlad laughed: "Yes ^^' But hurry up. First Defense against the Dark Arts lesson is starting soon and you know how much Ms Coombes dislikes you. Don't upset her." (They are supposed to wear school uniforms while here :3)
Ms Coombes: "Where's Callahan? I told you how exhausting it is for us professors to remain here. We can't waste our time like this!" Vlad: "I told him to hurry up." Ms Coombes: "Ach - he's a lost cause..."
They already come running - almost there! Gladly Kiyoshi has an I'm-fully-here-day today!
But in the entrance hall... Kiyoshi: "Which portal was it again to the Defense against the Dark Arts classroom?" Jack: "Omg look! Dragons!" (Jack never had an I'm-fully-here-day ever...) Kiyoshi studied the schedule: "I think it's this one? There are just the numbers of the portals on the schedule but not which portal is which number..."
It was the wrong portal - of course. But it took them to an amazing subterranean bathroom! Jack: "Ohhh! We should come back here after classes! Wow!" Kiyoshi agreed, but it's not the time to linger when Ms Coombes is waiting!
Ah finally the right classroom! Ms Coombes: "Callahan! What were you thinking?! I informed you thusly not to pester your professors and you're starting right away on your first day! And I told you not to drag Vlad - or Kiyoshi - down into your disrespectful behavior! Kiyoshi, you really shouldn't hang out with this menace." Jack: "It's not Kiyoshi's fault! You know how absent he is, doing his deity stuff. It's all on me. I'm sorry." (Aouw - Jack defending Kiyoshi! And lieing... tststs.)
Ms Coombes: "I don't care! Both of you are going to weed the Cursed Cabbage Field after Class - as punishment! Vlad and Jeb - you are responsible for Kiyoshi from now on. Keep him away from Callahan. And you, Saiwa, are in charge of Callahan. This is too important to be lenient with you. Your lives are at stake!" All: "Yes, Ms Coombes."
Ms Coombes was so upset, she showed no mercy for the Boys' first Defense against the Dark Arts lesson! They have to dodge (mildly) poisoned arrows while being occupied with other stuff! Ms Coombes: "Here you can show how well you built your awareness skills while practising yoga and meditation! You'll never be prepared when you're ambushed!"
Jeb is so cute ^^'
Sai and Jeb had to box... ö.ö'
And Jack and Kiyoshi had to - dance? Ms Coombes: "Since poor Kiyoshi is so absent, you'll have to lead him. For each arrow that hits Kiyoshi, you are going to do for one day all of the chores for your diligent, punctual and honest classmates!" That's Jack's punishment for lieing ^^'
Since Jack is the Super Soldier, his reflexes are flawless and not a single arrow hit Kiyoshi. And only two hit Jack. Which was an amazing achievement since 71% of all the extremely fast arrows were aimed at Jack and Kiyoshi ^^' And Jack also was highly distracted from getting to feel Kiyoshi so close again after all those months... (Last time they'd kissed was September 2023 ö.Ö' and a little later in Jack's weird Heidi dream.)
Vlad, with his vampire speed, was even able to catch the arrows in flight! Ms Coombes: "Take a cue on Vlad, Callahan! Very well done, Vlad! A+ with a ⭐"
What an exhausting lesson! And Jack and Kiyoshi still had to weed the Cursed Cabbage Field - in the pouring rain... The weeds were prickering and thorny. Of course they are - it's a cursed field for a reason -.- Jack: "I'm so sorry. Maybe Ms Coombes is right and you should avoid me. I'm trouble all the way and you're a deity now. You have way more important things to do than weeding cabbage..." Kiyoshi: "I've seen decades passing by in that tree. The time I have with you ...guys... is the most precious for me."
Finally done for today! Jack and Kiyoshi went through the portal into that stunning bathroom again. The essences healed their sore, itching skin. Jack moaned in delight. Jack: "I enjoy my time with you, too. It's a shame we weren't able to do things like this more often while we were still together... Uhm - of course I know it wasn't your fault. Your duties for the Resistance and the Temple are more important than me and I understand that. It's just sad, you know? And now it's too late. But we can still do all this as 'mates', hm?" Kiyoshi: "Of course we can. Jack, I utterly failed you. Now I know I should have taken my time to spend it with you. Neither Dtui nor Kojin nor anyone from the Resistance ever asked me to work as much as I did. I just thought - since I was so powerful all out of sudden and my family caused so much pain - I had to do everything to make it up again and to give something back. But instead I burnt myself out and didn't even notice how much I hurt you. You are right, it's too late now. But I won't ruin this friendship of ours. I will be a good mate." Jack: "I never appreciated how much you did for me, either. You landed on the pyre and almost died because you saved me and Saiwa from the lab. And you saved me and Ji Ho from burning to death. And so many other times you helped me out. Yet still I thought the worst of you. I never understood why you wanted someone like me." Huh. Seems Kiyoshi has a very I'm-here-day today - and Jack also gained some insights o.o Kiyoshi had a lot to think about over all those years in the tree and it seems he learned his part. And he paid for his mistakes. And both of them are glad they have these cucumber slices on their eyes, so the other can't see their tears.
Then they went over to the underground pool. The water was warm and the air fresh. That's not how you look at your 'good mate', Jack...
He's even ogling Kiyoshi when he's about to climb out of the pool!
Meanwhile in the Common Room. Since Jack is busy with Kiyoshi, Jeb is playing Simbles with Saiwa. They are so glad they are able to spend some - halfway- easy-going time together. And Vlad misses his Ji Ho, he sadly plays:
'Ain't no sunshine when she's gone Only darkness every day Ain't no sunshine when she's gone And this house just ain't no home Anytime she goes away'

Week 42 coming right at you!! LOOK OUT!!!!!!! OH MY GOD THEY HAVE THEIR EARBUDS IN THEY CAN'T HEAR US-
As always you can follow me on twitter where they’re posted daily
And read more info on each of them below the cut
Daily Dragon #294 - Golem Dragon
Man made dragons designed to complete particularly difficult tasks like mining or guarding treasures. Just slip a command on a piece of paper in their mouth and watch them work! They're powered by magic crystal held inside the rocks!
Daily Dragon #295 - Dragourd
These small cursed Jack-o'-lanterns are actually tiny fire breathing dragons! People will carve their pumpkins to look like them, but doing this often will attract the real deal! You dont want a crowd of them at your house.
Here's the concept art for this fella! I knew for a bit that I wanted to draw doing something where I use the mouth + eye pieces to make horns. Originally I was gonna do an ogre, but of course... Yknow... Dragons...
Daily Dragon #296 - Feral Gobold
Small and viscous creatures that love biting and scratching anything they come across. Trees and rocks near their nests are often covered in claw and teeth marks from top to bottom!
This is another redraw! Called the "Small Beast" from 2016 at the latest. It wasn't originally a dragon, and frankly idk if it was even a reptile. But it was some sort of Nidorina inspired creature because that Pokemon has one of my favorite small beast designs :)
Daily Dragon #297 - Galathia the Famished One
Galathia appears in the form of a massive dragon, the only vessel that can contain her power we can comprehend. While she's nice, the food she demands can be... drastic. A soul here, an eternity there. Maybe a whole planet?
ANOTHER redraw, this time of this old eldritch horror girl! I tried to make her a little more visually coherent, and while she's maybe a little less bizarre I think she looks a little more clean? Idk. The original is also from 2016 at the latest!
Daily Dragon #298 - Ba'ul
And here's another dragon I knew I wanted to do from the start! I was put off though for a bit because he's a little complicated and hard to find refs for. But ultimately I think he came out fantastic!! Please play Vesperia
I've also done a dragon from some of GOAT JRPG series but hadn't done one from Tales of yet. And I just couldn't let the challenge end without doing at least ONE and there's no one better than my beautiful baby boy Ba'ul
ALSO ALSO I HAVE to give the biggest shoutout to this artist who did an amazing study on Ba'ul's design. It's genuinely the best reference of him online and I could not have drawn this without making heavy use of it!
Daily Dragon #299 - A Dragon
Is something there? Can you see it? Did you lock your door? What was that by the window? Can you see it? It sees you
Just to not keep anyone in suspense, cause I dont think these things work that well with the whole transparency effect. Here he is :) what a lovely smile
I wanted to do this concept for a dragon basically all October but I couldn't make anything I liked that was actually unnerving. I still don't think this dude is that scary lmao. But yes his joints go backwards so he can walk on the ceiling and scare you
Daily Dragon #300 - Gorodin
A massive set of ancient bones that lie dormant in a valley. They become charged with cursed lightning, and start to swim in the sky. As it lets out a horrible cry sounding like a static whale call, it blows towns to cinders with powerful electricity.
And just like the last 2 times, this milestone dragon was made by combining YOUR ideas together! Thank you all so much for giving so many good suggestions on shorter notice than usual! As always I adjusted them a touch to make it all work, but thanks for your ideas regardless!!
And just like before, if I didn't use your idea, I have it written down so I can maybe do something with it later!!
BUT YEAH!! DAY 300!!! WE'RE ALREADY HERE! The end of the Daily Dragon Challenge is coming up quicker than I'm ready to admit!!
There's only 66 dragons left and as we move forward I may start planning them out a little bit. There's still a lot I want to draw, and a lot I know I won't get to in this time frame. But that's okay. It's not like I'll ever stop drawing dragons lol.
Thank you all SO much for your continued support and sticking with this whole big challenge even when I miss like, whole weeks at a time lol. Lets enjoy the rest of the year with lots of cool dragons :)
And of course, here's how it looks powered down!

The Mad Queen (II)
pairing: Aemond Targaryen × Velaryon (Targaryen )!Oc Daemon Targaryen x Velaryon (Targaryen) Oc!,Cregan Stark x Oc
Content: Incest, Age-Gap,Angst
Author's Note:Follow me on tik tok, I upload edits of my fics:)),my user is targayrens
Visenya was nervous, it took so many years for this moment to finally come.
Today she stopped being Visenya Velaryon to finally call herself Visenya Targaryen She couldn't stop moving the rings on her fingers, she knew that her wedding would mark a before and after in this war.
"You look beautiful, my little dragon, I wish I wasn't about to give you up to that one-eyed Hightower cunt."
-Thanks, Dad
Daemon kissed her daughter's forehead before starting to walk towards her future husband.
The day before they had had a Valyrian wedding, which Alicent completely disapproved of saying that they hadn't really been close since that day.
Visenya could only admire her husband, seeing how her cuts were still red, the ceremony was fast and she only thought about how she had married twice with the man she loves so much.
Visenya danced with her younger siblings, while Viserys and Aegon were in her arms, Joffrey played with her dress.
Aemond thought how lucky he was, he rode Vhagar and was now married to Visenya Targaryen.
What more could she ask for?
Visenya screamed and moaned in pain, her mother held her hand as she calmed her down but she was still terrified.
What if the baby didn't come? Or did they have to cut her off?
"Bid one more time, Princess."
"Shit, you don't understand that it hurts me!"
"It's almost here, sweet girl, just bid one more time."
Visenya pushed and screamed until her scream mingled with the baby's cry.
—A child, princess, healed and kicking like a goat
"Let me see it." Visenya held the child in her arms.
He was red and ugly but she could see the little white streaks on his head.
—Aerys, his name is Aerys
Daemon entered with his daughters and the velaryon children.
"Look at you, sweet girl, you did well" Daemon kissed her head affectionately.
"Is it a boy? What's his name?" Luke approached her so he could get a good look at the baby in her arms.
—Yes, sweet boy, he is a little prince and his name is Aerys
Baela took the baby in her arms while her brothers admired him.
Aemond entered the room with young Aegon and young Viserys.
—Sorry for the delay but your brothers wanted to choose the egg for our son, I heard that he is a boy
"See for yourself, my love.
Baela reluctantly handed over the child, Aemond admired the little boy, caressing his cheeks delicately.
—What is his name, or have you not decided yet?
—Aerys Targaryens
—The perfect name for a future warrior—Viserys's voice caught everyone's attention.
The King and Alicent moved closer to see him.
"It's beautiful, dear, I hope the delivery was easy?"
—I don't think I've ever insulted someone so much, grandpa.
Alicent was furious, she knew that her husband's request to get up from his bed to see his new grandson was only for Rhaenyra's daughter, since he only gave his own son a little shoulder squeeze, not even a congratulations on becoming a father.
"I think she looks a lot like him, Prince Daemon, I was hoping she might have a bit of a resemblance to Laenor Velaryon, or his own father."
Visenya understood what the Queen was hinting at, she was accusing her of having a bastard.
—The resemblance between my husband and my father has always been a topic of conversation for the inhabitants of King's Landing, I think that the one who should be questioned about her son's resemblance to the rebel prince is not me.
The queen and the princess smiled at each other, neither was a real smile.

Well, someone on Ao3 requested this, so I had fun with it. Enjoy my misfits. Here's the guys side of Girls' Day!
Boys' Day feat. Rosie:
It had been a tough week for the residents of the hotel, Sir Pentious was gone, Dazzle was gone, as were the weird egg bois. Charlie had taken the girls away alongside Angel Dust, but before she did she left a note with her dad Lucifer telling him that he could try to bond with the others with a Guys’ Day.
The short demon king sighed. He loved his little duckling and wanted to help her anyway he can, however the ones that were left were not really his cup of tea. There was one decent sinner which was Husk the bartender, his creation Razzle who had a case of depression due to Dazzle's death, and then the bane of his existence, Alastor the radio demon who he could care less for.
“It's for Charlie…” He took a deep breath and went down to the bar. “Heya buddy!” Lucifer grinned awkwardly.
Husk raised an eyebrow looking over. “Oh your majesty, what brings you to my bar?” He asked, trying to be polite.
“Well… Char-char gave me this note which suggested I get to know the guys of the hotel.” Lucifer replied, twirling his cane. “So…. What do ya do, Husky?”
Husk just gave him an unamused look, and sighed. “If you want the short version I'm basically in this place against my will and serving you knuckleheads.” He started holding a bottle. Lucifer blinked watching the cat demon take a swig. “How so?”
The bartender grumbled but shut his mouth upon seeing the man who owned his soul. “I simply asked him to come to this place. I thought it would be fun to watch the chaos unfold.” Alastor chimed in with his never ending grin.
“Ah the bellhop, how fun..” Lucifer narrowed his red eyes at the taller deer demon. “I heard you made a deal with my duckling..” He growled softly as Alastor laughed.
“Why yes I did, don't worry your highness I didn't take her soul. I simply wanted a little favor between friends.”
Lucifer growled with his eyes flashing pure red for a moment. “You slimy fucker, you better not make my little girl do anything stupid!”
Husk rolled his eyes though he noticed Razzle sitting on the couch looking depressed. Sighing the cat demon took a glass and poured some apple cider into it before bringing it over to the small goat dragon. “It's hard ain't it?”
“Bap…” Razzle replied, taking the drink.
Husk patted the goat demon on the back and took a swig of his own bottle. He looked over at the memorial for Sir Pentious. “It's hard losin’ a friend, eh?” He looked back down to Razzle, who sniffled. “Whoa hey, uh..” Husk jolted a bit when the little dragon just buried himself into the cat demon's fur while his creator bickered with Alastor.
“Tell you what, little king. If you can beat me in a simple cook-off, I'll tell you more about my deal with your little spawn. But if I win, you must refer to me as Alastor the All-powerful Radio demon.” The deer grinned as Lucifer growled. “And whose going to be the judge?” The smaller man asked, narrowing his eyes.
Alastor smirked, snapping his fingers as soon a knock came to the door. “We'll have three, Husker, your little goat, and a neutral party.” He chuckled and answered the door revealing Rosie the cannibal overlord.
“Oh my darling, you weren't kidding when you said the king was here! He looks scrumptious.” The woman cooed, smiling. “Now shall we get this fun cook off started?”
Over the next hour Husk, Razzle, and Rosie sat waiting and watched the two men walk into the way bigger than necessary kitchen. “One regular dish and one cannibal dish for Rosie.” Alastor smirked as Lucifer nodded wearing his cute as fuck frilly apron which said “An apple a day, keeps the assholes at bay.”
“Alright then. Let's get this party started little Bambi.” The king smirked “Because I'm going to fuck you.”
Alastor had his ears pinned back and an eye twitch. “I can't believe you made the same mistake twice…” He kept his grin.
Rosie giggled as Husk facepalmed with a groan. “Here we go..”
Alastor snapped his fingers as his shadow appeared with a cheeky grin. The two moved with ease as the taller red deer man began cooking his best dish, jambalaya.
Lucifer on the other hand struggled with the kitchen but smirked and snapped in fresh ingredients. “Let's see..” He swayed casually.
----
Rosie giggled, looking amused, watching the boys try to outdo one another. “Are they always like that? It feels like a married couple spat.”
“Well no one gets under his skin like Lucifer does..” Husk muttered while taking a drink. “Aw it's nice. Our little ace in the hole found someone finally. Plus, the shortie is so cute.” Rosie teased with a playful tone.
Razzle remained quiet throughout the whole thing. However he perked up seeing the food both parties prepared. Alastor smirked, having three plates of his jambalaya, with two pots so he wouldn't mix the cannibal meat with regular one. He placed down the plates before his guest. “Enjoy.” He stated with his tentacles placing each one down.
Razzle sniffed and took a bite of the food. His nose scrunched up as he whined. It was too spicy for his liking. Husk took a bite and rubbed his chin looking amused. “Not bad..”
Rosie grinned, seeing her own plate. She soon elegantly took a forkful and ate some. “Oh my Alastor, this is quite a dish. However, I must refrain from voting until I have the dish the king made darling.”
“Of course my dear.” Alastor smirked, narrowing his eyes at Lucifer.
Lucifer playfully sauntered over like a showman and grinned “Well I've prepared a tasty feast for you three. For my little Razzle pookie, a pile of freshly made donuts, for the bartender a tasty looking apple pie, and for the lovely miss, a scrumptious meaty tart, just for you.” He smirked smugly at Alastor, who narrowed his eyes.
Razzle perked up and devoured the donuts, Husk blinked and ate a piece of pie with a slight hum, and Rosie, well she looked flattered as she ate the tart.
---
The trio soon raised the symbol to whom their vote was for. Razzle had Lucifer, which was a rubber duck, Husk had Alastor's, which looked like a smiling creepy red cat, and the last vote Rosie she looked amused at the two waiting on bated breath. “I've gotta think it over, darling. Both were especially tasty.” The woman smiled with a playful giggle.
Both Alastor and Lucifer looked at one another annoyed when Rosie raised both signs. “A tie?!” Both men stared.
“Sorry Alastor, but both were so delicious!” Rosie replied, looking pleased.
Husk looked at her and shook his head as soon chaos erupted as the boys started to try and force one another to eat their food, claiming it was better than the other. So much so that Alastor playfully turned the knob up on the oven to ruin Lucifer’s batch of apple flavored danishes. This enraged the shorter man as he chased Alastor outside once the oven blew up.
Husk came out and sighed, not drunk enough for this, with Rosie holding Razzle like a baby and petting the goat. “You seem more relaxed, Husk. How come?”
“Huh, I suppose it's because I like the rest of the little shits in the hotel…” The bartender chuckled looking back however noticed on the top floor a pair of pink eyes looking at him. A small hint of red reached his cheeks as he smiled a bit. “Looks to me you're starting to fall for someone here eh?” Rosie smirked looking at Husk.
“Well they're nice drinking buddies..” The bartender smiled a bit seeing Angel Dust coming downstairs. “But maybe yeah, I guess it's because I feel comfortable around him now..” Husk admitted with a soft smile. Soon, he was laughing with the girls as they watched Charlie chew both her dad and ‘dad’ out for making a mess in the kitchen and fighting again.
(Yes I think sometimes Alastor and Lucifer bitch at one another like an old married couple. I may have a soft spot for Radioapple..)

Hazbin Pokemon (Part 1)
So I had a few ideas on pokemon teams around the Hazbin community and while some have interesting theories as to why, others are just based on either personality or what I could picture them with in a personal sense. So let's start with the Morningstar Family: (NOTE I may change some of Lilith's later on but I'm generally happy with Lucifer and Charlie's team of choice) Lucifer: Uxie -> Legends aren't technically legends for Angels so why can't they own them. Anyway, Uxie is the being/creator of knowledge, what was Lucifer sent down to hell for. Basically giving humans free will and the knowledge to use it. Uxie just seemed fitting. Reshiram -> The Dragon of Truth, again kind of self explanatory, for Lucifer he keeps him as a reminder that he made the choices he did and the truth is, they weren't all good choices. Reshiram is both a memory of the good and bad parts of him but he still holds it very dear to him. Pidgeot (Shiny) -> A golden giant cockatiel like bird, need I say more?, Honestly I just think it works but it's not my main bird for an obvious reason, you'll see who though shortly. Dubwool -> It's a cute goat/ram pokemon. Again nough said, I don't really have a reason behind this one, I just couldn't not add a goat like pokemon to his team. Hydrapple (Shiny) -> The golden apple, originally started off as an Applin but with time he got a strong shiny apple hydra. Cause why not? SirFetch'd (Shiny) -> Shiny golden duck, again need I say more, why wouldn't he have this golden boy. Yes it is his ace he often sends out in a panic. -------
Lilith: (Her team may change with time. I am open to suggestions) Azelf -> Having the will power to do whatever she wants in the palm of her hand. Depending on how she uses it will determine her path though. Meloetta -> A beautiful pokemon with an equally beautiful voice. (This one may change) Zoroark (Hisuian) -> A shapeshifting pokemon who looks quite haunting but quite beautiful too. Darkrai -> A pokemon that is given an equally bad rep and can cause quite horrifying nightmares, maybe even trap you in your own worst nightmare. Friend or foe, for her sake you better be a friend. Primarina -> Another angelic pokemon with a beautiful voice. Tends to be one of her main she uses far more often then Meloetta. Milotic -> Again just another beautiful and hard to obtain pokemon. -------
Charlie: Minun & Plusle (These are illusions, their true forms are Latios and Latias) -> These are Charlie's main supporters and protectors. If you see her out, these are usually the two you see with her the most, many have underestimated them and regretted it. Sylveon -> Honestly who doubted this?, an Eevee she genuinely couldn't decide what to evolve into so she just spent her time loving her little cutie for what she was and ended up with a Sylveon much later. Yes she is indeed spoiled. This is Charlie's main that she uses in battle. Togekiss -> Another pokemon mostly evolved out of love and admiration. Charlie hardly uses him but that doesn't seem to bother them at all. Bewear (Shiny) -> If Charlie was honest she had gotten this little one when it was a cute Stuffle, never really thinking just how big it'd get when she'd evolve. Yes Bewear loves Charlie and tends to be the most cuddly of her team. Bewear is also insanely protective of Charlie too, but don't worry she just gives people hugs of warning, bone crushing hugs of warning. Marowak (Hisuian) -> Honestly this one was just Charlie's bleeding heart taking in a crying Cubone, maybe a bit out of her own self need to help others and knowing exactly what it's like to not really have her folks around. Was she expecting him to evolve into a bone throwing little menace. No, does she loev him less for it, of course not.
Next up: Angels and Exorcists. (If you're interested or have suggestions feel free to comment or reblog)

And oooon we go!
Dawww the hope and relief in Arin when he sees Lloyd (kinda low key he was a tad more excited but that's a nitpick and I'm used to ninjago characters under reacting to situations)
Damnnn Lloyd thinking there was another ninja doing Spinjitzu, idk but the way he said it was interesting, def gonna overthink it
Awwwww no Arin downplaying himself nooo
"I kinda get your ninja fandom now" nooooo Sora calling us out! Also it just hit me Arin's the stand in perspective for returning fans and Sora is the fresh perspective of new people coming in that's genius!
Haha love that Lloyd caught onto their plan of them hacking onto that guy to chop their handcuffs the attention to detail is immaculate so far
"You can wash them?" Lolz mood
Also not Lloyd letting Arin keep his old mask boooo
Master Lloyd! Damn that's giving me whiplash as an Og fan from 2011
Oooh Rapton that's his name, also loving him so far again
Lolz Lloyd low key not believing Arin that he was the one who did Spinjitzu until he did
"Spinjitzu is the single most important ninja technique it took me years to learn to learn it with an incredible tracher" my dude the og ninja learned in a matter of weeks/months at most it's not that big of a deal
Wwwoooh! My girl Sora showing off! Hardcore Nya energy from her
Jeez Lloyd is being a real ass ngl
*New opening rocks but they cut it short nooooo*
Love Lloyd being protective of the kiddos and the dragons tho
Oooh Sora's metal arm might be a reference to Jay ZXs armour!
Nawwww Riyu best boy!
Yes! Sora being sassy with her powers to Lloyd!
"Hey Lloyd! I think I made a bomb!" That got me ngl
"It was a weird version but still" jeeez when did Lloyd get so judgy
"Maybe tech power?" Little on the nose again for me
OMG RAZ IS A TIGER CHIMA CONNECTION CONFIRMED?
Damnnn the Monastery looks so snazy with this new animation
New Destiny's Bounty let's go!
Lolz writers calling out how inconsistent the elemental powers are
Love Sora being Nya 2.0 ngl
Whoop Lloyd and Arin bonding
"Keeping the world from destorying itself" lolz really funny ngl
Ooh I love the detail of Sensei Wu having the symbols from all the ninja on his back *I think*
IT'S CANNON, WU IS A 1000 YEARS, YES WE HAVE A CONICAL TIMELINE YES
Wish we had a tad more pre merge post crystalized ninja dialogue ngl
Oh gods other dragons, again! Low key made me groan *just use the ones we have already damn it*
"What the heck Lloyd!" Low key made me cackle
Nawww sibling hug
Also you can tell the main ninja are aging and it really moves me honestly
Merge quakes are really interesting and cool ngl
Should of said this sooner this season's ost slaps
Awwww I love Arin and Lloyd talk so much, big siblings vibe
"You need Wu but he's gone" low key slashes into me ngl
Omg so cute Riyu playing with a set of Jay's nunckes I presume
"And I do not mind fixing it again" lolz I relate Sora, damn she's so cool!
Idk how I feel about the dragon not believing them feels a tad cliche and unnecessary
Rapton being the goat as always
How fucking strong are those wires to keep a source dragon down wtf
Whow super syan Lloyd! Plus reference to Tornado of creation I think
Oof the animation on the Spinjitzu is a tad low res tho
Damn Lord Raz be cold
Gods Lloyd's speeches are always so ironically cheesy
Kinda funny how ninjago's doing dragons better than WoW did dragons in it's last expansion lolz
That episode slapped another 8/10

2 - 84 Violent Murder on the Violet Farm
Murdle Advent Day 5
Cryptozoologist Cloud is a cute little isopup sitting by the fireplace!
I am going to be able to finish the book before Christmas, and after that I'm gonna go on break for a lil bit before book 3
DON'T READ THE EPISODES WITHOUT READING THE BOOKS!!
Irratino gets his wish, and they travel to the Violet Isles. But some shit went down when they were gone! For one, it’s so heavily guarded by Red soldiers that they can’t enter alive.
IRRATINO: I got an idea. LOGICO: Oh no. IRRATINO: I’ll phone a jet from the Institute. LOGICO: But we can’t land it? IRRATINO: We’re not going to.
Ducking on an inconspicuous island, they wait for the jet to come overhead. Irratino carries Logico up the rope ladder, and they head to the mansion.
LOGICO: How are we going to get down?? IRRATINO: Take a parachute! LOGICO: FUCK?!
And they literally skydive past the guards and onto the… farmland? Sister Lapis, the Duchess, and Emerald are all looking miserable, in tattered clothes, tied to posts, raking at the ground.
LOGICO: What the… what happened to you??
Lapis solemnly points to a large sign that says ‘Violet Work Farms’.
EMERALD: Logico! Logico… they took my gems. All of them! LOGICO: That’s what you’re most worried about? You’re tied up like an animal! IRRATINO: What are they doing to you? DUCHESS: If we want to be free, we have to work. When we’re free, we get to live in the mansion.
The mansion has torn walls and no furniture. And the footsteps coming from inside don’t sound like a person.
DUCHESS: I swear, I’m going to get out of here, if it’s the last thing any of you see.
She jams her rake into the ground really hard. Just then, Logico notices a dead guard that was never disposed of (albeit not in one piece). And a chainsaw!
The three suspects divert their eyes to ‘look innocent’. But they can’t go anywhere.
IRRATINO: Has anyone managed to be freed from this place? LAPIS: Yes… there is ONE… [looks at the mansion]
More irregular thumps are heard. Irratino approaches the doors.
LOGICO: Wait, Irratino, there’s an animal in there you’re going to let loose! IRRATINO: It’s okay, an animal would have managed to get out by now anyway.
He casually opens the doors and there’s nothing there.
IRRATINO: Hello?
A mass falls down a flight of stairs!
GRAYWALKER: RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHEHHHH IRRATINO: [goat scream]
Logico rushes to protect his goat lord, and hurls a magnifying glass at the thing’s head. Nothing happens.
LOGICO: Fuck, there goes my magnifying glass.
This Graywalker is not the same one Logico encountered. This one seems to have a tail, and there’s less dangling flesh, but a lot of deep cuts, like it was fighting with something for a long time. It’s also very fast, and runs for them with a hiss. Irratino picks up a bearskin rug that was left on the floor and throws it over it. The oxymorons run and duck for cover, but surprisingly, the Graywalker stays put. Irratino steps back out.
LOGICO: [whisper scream] WH-N-N-IRRATINO?? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Walking the line between bravery and stupidity like a tightrope, Irratino lifts up a tiny bit of the rug to see the Graywalker curled underneath.
GRAYWALKER: ??? LOGICO: GET AWAY FROM- GRAYWALKER: WRA WRA WRA~
The beast snuggles with the rug and makes high-pitched gurgling and purring noises, like a baby dragon. Irratino smiles.
LOGICO: No, NO! WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS? IRRATINO: It’s okay, Logico. It just likes the rug!
The ‘adorable’ Graywalker makes happy sounds.
IRRATINO: I’m gonna call you Scar. LOGICO: THAT COULD’VE BEEN A PERSON FOR ALL I KNOW!! And we have people to save now. Come on. I need you.
Irratino sighs, then wraps the Graywalker in the rug.
IRRATINO: Stay out of trouble, all right? 'SCAR': Bbbbbreeeeeeehhhhh.
It burps, and some slime gets on Irratino’s face.
IRRATINO: …Okay I’m sorry that’s disgusting! 😭
Lapis and Duchie are still working, but Emerald has given up and has just slumped to the ground. He looks out at the wheat fields where the hedge maze used to be. They have to plow there next. He cries.
LOGICO: Emerald! EMERALD: I want to be let go… I want to go home. I don’t even want to stay in the shabby mansion with the demon spawn. DUCHESS: You won’t have to. Not when I’m done. LOGICO: Was that a confession? DUCHESS: Hhhh… yes, but not too loud! I need to kill all the guards. Then we can leave. A wooden stick can’t hold down the queen of the ocean. LOGICO: There HAS to be a better solution than that. LAPIS: Maybe THAT one can help you!
The doors of the mansion burst open, and Scar runs out.
‘SCAR’: RARARARARARA
It slashes at the guards and shoves one into the water. Sergeant Gunmetal appears and shoots the creature’s leg. It doesn’t die, but is subdued enough to be captured. Irratino sighs. It hurts him, but it’s probably for the better.
LOGICO: The paper made the guards sound a lot more threatening than they’re actually being.
IRRATINO: I don’t know. Chainsaws are pretty scary.
Logico is about to correct him to say that the Duchess was the one with the chainsaw, but realizes that his goal is to free the captives, and keeps his mouth shut.
An angry moose roams the cliffside. Manservant Brownstone!
M. BROWNSTONE: What have they done… what have they DONE to my BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!!!
The end!
In the book they're just reading about this in the news but bru I don't wanna write about reading the news again 😭
The power of Goat Lord compels you!
See you next time murdlers!

Chapter 5 The prospective (TBRAHE)
(That mean the future^)
cw: infidelity, swearing, gore?
“How am I going to tell him, Riko?” You asked your little dragon as you laid on your bed. “I have to. I should be the bigger person and tell him. Besides, or marriage was never one of love. He is in love with little miss Pissa. Ugh! This sucks.” You rolled onto your stomach.
“(Y/n)? May I come in?” Addison asked.
“Sure.” You responded. She gently creaked the door open and peered in. “Hi.” You waved not really moving from your position.
“Your husband was wondering where you had gone. There was a bit of a fight in the garden.”
“What?! Is everyone okay?”
“That new guard of yours had challenged the Duke and the King to a duel for your honor. The three of them are currently being treated by Shoko in the hospital.”
“Ugh, great! Another thing I have to worry about.”
“It was quite amusing actually. I’d never seen your husband so wound up about you before.”
“What do you mean?” You were slightly apprehensive to ask.
“Well…”
——
“I think these are the documents.” I’d told this new guy who was with (Y/n). We headed back to the boys.
“I never actually caught your name, I’m Chisa.”
“You can call me Addie. So, and I mean this respectfully, why are you here?”
“Her majesty’s father has hired me to protect her after news of the Kings affair got out.”
“That’s probably a good idea. I’m worried about what Parliament will do if the Royals split. I believe a majority actually favor our queen but the minority that supports the king is powerful, and influential. We may not make it if a war breaks out and our government is split.”
“You’re quite knowledgeable for a maid. Quite skilled too.”
“Thank you. (Y/n)- my lady has funded my education from her own pocket money.”
“She’s terrifying.”
“Only if you piss her off.”
“Speaking of pissing people off, we’re back with these jerks.”
I hadn’t even noticed that we’d returned. “Your majesty, Duke Geto, we have the paperwork.” I set down the papers and the king signed, however Geto insisted on reading the stupid thing first.
“Just sign.” Chisa growled.
“Excuse me?” It was less of a question and more of a ‘how dare you speak to me like that’.
“…please just do ask the queen request of you and sign. The stupid. Paper!” Geto begrudgingly signed. I took the paper back afterward and Chisa glared at the two men.
“What?” The King asked. Chisa took my hand and removed my riding glove; then he proceeded to smack Geto and tried to hit the king but it went around him due to his cursed technique. He then threw down my glove.
“I challenge you both to a duel for my lady’s honor!”
“ Your lady?” The king snarled.
“Yes! Her father picked me out for her!”
“Fine. If you want to be obliterated that badly Suguru and I’d be happy to do so for you.”
The three men stood to face each other. Chisa gripped the hilt of his sword. Blue light emitted from the Kings fingers as Chisa was sucked towards him.
Once he was five feet away from the king he unsheathed his sword and uttered a phrase. “Cursed technique, dream stasis.” As Chisa said those words a red circle appeared on the ground beneath him. Gojo stood inside it bewildered before he passed out and dropped Chisa.
“SATORU!” The Duke cried as he sent out a chimerical mess of curses with a crows body and wings, an eagles gold talons, and a small goat head, with a second head of a cat.
Chisa quickly sliced through them. Then he turned his attention back to the king. “Domaine expansion, sleep paralysis. This allows my prey to be conscious but unable to move or use cursed techniques. I want you to suffer.” He said as he kicked gojo in the head and stabbed him in the shoulder.
“STOP!!” Geto called. The domain was clear enough so everyone could see what was happening. “Baku go!” Another chimera was summoned. One with an elephant head, tiger body and an ox tail. That thing sucked up the domain as Gojo still laid on the ground. Chisa then ran towards Geto and cut apart the Baku.
Chisa swung at Geto but he dodged. Chisa kept swinging and even managed to cut him a bit. “Dream stasis!” He called out and Geto passed out. Chisa fell backwards and coughed up blood. “I think… I’m dying.”
——
“And that’s when Shoko came running out with her subordinates and brought the three back to the infirmary.” Addison had informed you on your way down to med bay.
“Ugh, those idiots.”
“You don’t want to meet Shoko’s new assistant. His name is Landon and he’s a total pervert!“
You sternly stopped and looked over at Addison. “What. Did. He. Do. I command the truth!”
“He asked me if he could watch you “rail me” then when I told him that I don’t see you in that way he asked if I’d rather have him rail me, because he thinks I have a “thing” for sorcerers.”
“I’m gonna kill him!”
“No! If you do, Shoko will be mad at you. Then your relationship with your husband will be ruined!”
“You let me worry about Satoru.” You sigh. “If you don’t want me to go to med bay then please just get Chisa and bring him back to my suite. I’m going to the park to think.”
“Be careful. Teleporting drains your cursed energy.”
“I’ll be fine.” You grab her hand and squeeze it reassuringly.
You teleport down to the middle of the park and walk through the trees. As you walk closer to a bench you see a little bird fall out of a tree and you rush to save it. You catch it and put it back up there.
“Poor Aya. She’s always been a bit… slow.” A man on the bench shook his head. He was bald and rounder in size. “Thanks for saving her.”
“You’ve named her?”
“I’ve named all the birds in that family. Naka is the small one that likes to puff out his chest. Howie is the one who the white spots. No matter how far they fly they’ll come back to find me. Just like their father Alucard, and their mom Koyo. Very similar to my own son.”
“What’s he like?”
“Passionate about work. Not the strongest or the brightest, always getting beat in the fights he’d pick, but loyal to a tee. And always so very good to me. He became a knight for a rich family and ever since he’s been stuffing me with delicious meals. Enough about me. Why are you here, for something on your mind?”
“Got it in one sir. My husband and I are going through a bit of a rough patch.” He doesn’t seem to know that I’m the queen, I’ll just leave him be without that knowledge then. “We’re in a bit of an open relationship. Married for our parents best interests. I recently found out that his girlfriend is cheating on him. He’s so happy with her, so… should I tell him? Would he believe me? We’ve never been happy together but he surely doesn’t deserve this. But he’d be crushed.”
“Tell him. Even if he’s upset, you shouldn’t lie to him. You don’t want to hurt him right?”
“No, even if he deserves it.”
“Then tell him.”
“Okay. Thanks sir, may I come back to talk to you again?”
“Anytime.” He smiled at you. Once you teleported back home the old man muttered. “Your highness.”
Back at home you decided to tell him over breakfast tomorrow.
You got bathed and dressed in a pink dress and walked down to the dining hall. You took your seat across from miss Pissa (dressed in magenta) and looked right to see Satoru.
“How was the park yesterday?” He asked.
“Stalking me?”
“Addison told us. Is there a particular reason why you’re eating with us today?”
“Gojo.” You said in a serious tone. You looked into his visible eyes, then looked away.
“Yes Gojo?” He responded back teasingly.
“There’s a cheating whore to your right.” Marissa dropped her fork and it clanked on the ground.
“That’s outrageous! Ruru tell her!”
“Is that why that bastards cursed energy was on you? Landon was it?” He doesn’t look up to meet her eyes. That’s right, the six eyes can see cursed energy more in depth.
“Huh?” She peeped as he rose from his chair and grabbed her by her blond hair.
“DO YOU THINK THAT IM STUPID?! I CAN SEE IT! HOW THAT BASTARDS KISSED YOU JUST THIS MORNING!!” He throws her on the ground. “Guards! Take her, that Bastard and her maid away!” He commanded as tears weld in his eyes and rolled down his cheeks.
“Wait! Ruru! No! I’m sorry!”
His face lit up for a second. “Halt!” He walked over to her. She smiled at him like she knew that he’d forgiven her. Until he ripped your ring off her finger and her face fell in horror.
He then walked over to you grabbed your hand and slid the ring back on you. “Right we’re it belongs.” He voice was shaking as he sobbed.
“Don’t cry. It’s unbecoming of a king.” You snatch your hand away. “A weak king means a weak country.” You start to walk away. “Go to the guest suite and take a nap. I’ll auction off anything that whore’s touched.”
“I want it burned.”
“Suck it up. We need money to go to war. If you want to survive and be king, then you need to trust me.” You grab him by his chin. “You will play the role of the bloodthirsty king. I will play the role of the gentle queen. You scare off our enemies. I keep relationships between our allies and our citizens. Got it?” He nods.
“Good. As of today I’m taking executive control of the treasury.”
“I’m so sorry!” He sobbed.
“I may forgive you in time, if you play your role well.”
“I’ll do whatever it takes!” He promised, tears gushing from his eyes.

Nowhere.
This is in the Demi Demon universe, very cool series by @sparrowrye so check that out for the real stuff, this is just a eureca moment I had and really wanted to write (which is rare so I take it always when it comes)
Warning, it gets gory.
Plover birds flew in the air as they went for the sea, passing by the tall spruce trees, their thick leaves waving like the sea as the breeze hit them. The dark oaks complimented the lively green, with the ground full of healthy dirty. It was truly a sight to see, something that can leave someone gazing at it by hours.
That was what one of the beings in there were doing, not one like the squirrels and the birds, but a human. His red shaggy short hair gently moving as the air hit his scalp, and his green eyes almost closed from the tranquility. Against one of the wooden poles, his body relaxed, wearing a leather uniform, cream in color, with a red insignia on his shoulder, light armor over it. His moment of peace in the edges of the heaven was perturbed when footsteps came by, a annoyed pitched up voice coming with it.
"Again? Not doing your job 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯?" The steps stopped near, a similar wearing person, but with a helmet, hidden her white straight long hair, goat golden eyes glaring at his back.
"What job even there's is to do, Luci?" He sighted, foot all ready tapping against the ground, praying for her to disappear.
"Guard the damn city? What kind of question is that, Mag?" Her livid tone told him it wasn't going to be soon that she leave.
"well, the kind of when nobody with half a brain attacks the dragon and deer city." He turned to her now, hand pressed on the tree as the other went to his hip.
"You think they are up 24/7!? If one thing slips we are loosing our jobs, you dumbass!" She extended and moved her arms around, exaggerated and exasperated.
"We 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵. Nothing comes near in 6 years. And it was a bear that shit it self when he smelled her." He put his hand on his face, rubbing it as he groaned. "Let me do my stuff and you do yours, no need to be anxious."
"𝘼𝙣𝙭𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨? I just doing my job, for Alastor sake! If one of those bears get in town, or a criminal, or even one of Blackwater-"
"he's 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥." He had walked to her while she was trailing off and put both hands on the sides of her face, making her look at him. "He's super, mega dead and no undead guy of his getting here if he knows best." He let his hands go of her face. "We are just decoration, no need to worry. We get the money, go home and sleep nice. Let the big things to big people, alright?"
She crossed her arms, looking at the ground still with narrowed eyebrows. "Fine... But don't say big people, I not short."
"you are for me." He booped her nose as he went to look at the scenery again.
"𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴. You know how little it is? It's so small it's the size of a-"
𝘼𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃
A blood curling scream echoes through the forest, making birds fly from their nests and deer's run away as the two looked at the direction of it. It was near the town rather than away from it.
Luci voice was barely above a whisper. "D-Did someone-"
"-Got hurt, yes. Let's go." Mag didn't let her finish her conclusion, calling her by hand as he ran to it, pulling out a scimitar from his side and gripping it as she ran after him.
The scream was still audible, but in lower tone, as if they couldn't stop. It helped them know where it came more precisely as they got to the heavens walls. Now it had fully stopped, meaning they had to search in the area.
More guards came, standing above it as they looked around, Lucy staying by Mag side as they ran along it, ready to go if one of the above man saw something.
Eventually, one pointed at a direction and the two went there, being the first. Between the dense trees and bushes, a body hanged between two trees, with it's inside out on the floor still connected to it.
Luci couldn't even come close, as she quickly had to run to vomit as Mag looked properly around. A bloody axe on the ground with footsteps all around. Too many, like a whole group had came to do this.
It couldn't be possible, no it couldn't, the magic barrier would have alerted the rest of the guards. They couldn't simply entered completely silent, how would they even have the time to do this?
It was dramatic, something Alastor would have done, ironically, but it certainly wasn't him. He did have a fight with his lover if he hears right... But it wasn't time for far fetched theories.
Footsteps came behind him again, soft and shaking if he was correct.
"Don't worry Luci, I got things covered. Just go home."
Nothing responded back.
He swinged his sword back, like he had many times in the trainings, certain the enemy would have that much time to react, but was met by elbow braking in half, a groan of pain coming from him as adrenaline barely got in his peak.
A leg came to know his own, making him kneel as his hair was pushed back, making him look up.
He was met by... Something. His vision blurred as he saw white and golden clothes, his own sword on the things hand as it quickly went down to his head. But he couldn't let away the thing eyes. They were empty of emotion, empty of life. They looked like a dead man eyes. They looked at his soul, staring at it and mocking his breathing as the sword went his face, going through his nose to the back of his head, hitting the ground. Now he couldn't breathe, his arms flapped around useless as the creature didn't even finished him off properly. It wanted him to suffer, to bleed I'm agony and cry in sorrow.
He could only stare at the sky, as a woman scream hit his ears.
