Time passes as winter advances.

Panel 1: Imogen works in a stable, contentedly grooming a horse.

Panel 2: Laudna adjusts the fit on a new winter coat she is sewing for Imogen.

Panel 3: The cottage is decorated for Winter's Crest. Wearing matching pajamas (including a nightcap for Pâté) Laudna and Imogen are sitting by the stove. Imogen is examining her present from Laudna, an embroidered haversack which she is delighted to find is more roomy on the inside than it appears.

Panel 4: A light snow is falling as they head home in the evening. Imogen, carrying some library books, is wearing her new coat. Laudna, wearing a red hood and cloak, is bending behind her to gather a handful of snow into a snowball.

Panel 5: They sit on the roof of their house, bundled up against the cold as they watch a meteor shower. Ruidus is conspicuously absent from the sky.

"Orym looks waaay up Caduceus's body." | Campaign 3, episode 111

Point of view: You are three apples tall and you are faced with something so big that your halfling body can barely grasp what it's looking at.

Orym and Caduceus are canonically the smallest and the tallest people between Bells Hells and the Mighty Nein, and I had way too much fun drawing my interpretation of Orym's perspective next to a giant-kin.

Also, there is this video going around of a tortoise being gently nudged by a giraffe as it is fleeing in terror, and I want you to think about that for a sec.

Panel 1: Inside the cottage. Laudna is carefully piecing together shards of colored glass with magic to fill the broken window panes, creating a stained-glass effect that falls across her face.

Panel 2: Outside in the meadow, Imogen is stuffing a straw tick with fresh dried prairie grass. Her arms are bare and freckled in the afternoon sun.

Panel 3: Evening. Laudna is on the roof, repairing the missing boards. The dead tree that had been leaning against the roof is lying on the ground in several lightning-struck pieces, which Imogen is now (with some difficulty) splitting into firewood.

Panel 4: By the stove Imogen takes a bath in the washtub, in which she just fits, enjoying the hot water from their new kettle. Wrapped in a towel nearby, Laudna is brushing Pâté with a toothbrush.

Panel 5: They go to sleep, nestled close together in the sweet-smelling softness of their new bed, safe, warm, and happy.
