Voice Modulator Shenanigans

Summary: You and Hitoshi find yourselves in his dorm having fun with his voice modulator when you accidentally let some top-secret information slip.

Warnings and A/N: just swearing, this is all fluff don’t worry! Reader is gender neutral and written in the 2nd person. If you think Hitoshi is ooc, no he’s not. He's just happy.. Maybe inaccuracy on how his mask works but listen, I’m not an engineer. Oh, and established relationship.

It takes a good while for your and Hitoshi’s laughter to calm down, maybe too long but in your defense he did just give a flawless Katsuki imitation using his mask. When you finally find it in yourself to speak he’s still wiping tears from his eyes.

“I think you should pursue acting honestly.” 

He grins. “Yeah?”

“As a hobby even. I’d come to see your shows.” His grin becomes a smile and it gets even wider.

“You better bring me flowers for those shows then.”

“Only if you promise that I get a backstage pass.” 

“Deal.” 

There are a few beats of comfortable silence, your heads are laying next to each other on his pillow. Your shoulders are touching and the only thing you can hear is his breathing, gentle and regular. An idea pops into your head. You sit up and turn to look at your boyfriend, hardly containing your excitement; he looks up at you and he can already tell he’ll give you anything you ask for.

“What?”

“Can I try your mask on?” 

He stares blankly for a few seconds. “Sure. Though I’m not sure it’ll stay on your face correctly since it’s meant to fit my face exactly.”

“That’s fine, can you help me though?” Hitoshi had already the intention of helping you but he keeps that to himself, instead he nods and sits up with you, grabbing the device from his nightstand. 

“Who do you want to imitate?”

“Darth Vader.” 

He stares at you.

“What?” You ask.

“I thought you were more creative than this babe.” 

“Oh shut up and help me put on this damn mask.”

“Aye aye captain.”

He places the piece of equipment on your jaw trying to adjust it to your face as well as possible, he then toys with the settings. When he’s done he places a kiss on your forehead before moving away. 

“There, try to speak.” 

You clear your throat. “HELLO- OH GOD, IT WORKS!”

“Of course it works.”

“OH STOP IT WITH THE SASS.” He smiles fondly but doesn’t respond. You straighten your back and clear your throat again as you’ve been waiting for this moment your whole life. 

“HITOSHI, I AM YOUR FATHER.” 

He just stares at you. You stare at him. 

“OH COME ON, THAT WAS FUNNY.”

“No it wasn’t. Here, watch this.” With care he takes the mask off you and adjusts it on himself instead. You watch him change the settings in silence, wondering what character he’s got in mind. Once he’s done he looks at you dead in the eyes and speaks.

Gollum’s fucking voice comes out.

“My precioussss.” 

You cannot contain your laughter for the life of you. You end up falling back on the bed while clutching your stomach. And just like that three little words escape without your knowledge. 

“Oh my god I love you.” 

He freezes and so do you. He rips his mask off carelessly, chucking it on the black sheets under you. You slowly creep up from your position to look at him. 

“You what?”

“I, ehm- I love you?”

“Is that a question?”

“No! I- I love you. I do.” Silence falls again, your gazes never wavering. 

“Do you also or…”

“Oh God, yes, sorry, yes. I do. I love you too.”

A smile forms on your face and he matches it. 

This is a very sweet and romantic moment for the two of you as you can imagine which is why your gremlin ass decides to ruin it.

“You know- I might not mind the Gollum voice again in different circumstances-” You get interrupted by Hitoshi’s cushion being thrown in your face.

Finale thoughts ... Nothing to see here, just thinking about Celebrimbor's brilliance and heroism in his last moments, his prophecy, and the absolute crying rage-fueled tantrum Sauron is likely to have when he has a moment to sit and think about how and when, exactly, Galadriel got her hands on the Nine.

Because in that last scene Celebrimbor wasn't just playing their game of "whose will is mightier," he was stalling to buy time for Galadriel. (Which he said he would do and somehow delivered on. Honestly what a stellar badass.)

He wasn't thinking only of Sauron during his last moments, his thoughts were on Galadriel and the safety of his people too; Celebrimbor's last words were meant for Sauron, yes, but those words also goaded Sauron into killing him and bought a few extra seconds for Galadriel.

So during their last (precioussss) moments together, Celebrimbor was supposed to be focused on Sauron alone, but he wasn't; instead Celebrimbor deceived him, and in Sauron's mind that is not acceptable.

When he puts that together and really sits down to digest that timeline he's going to be even more difficult to be around. I pity the Uruk even more now.

The way I see it, Sauron wanted three things during those last few episodes: Celebrimbor's compliance (following the pattern, the abuser trying to win over the abused again), the Nine, and the Uruk army. He got two out of three, but at a huge cost that he's hardly aware of yet, even though Celebrimbor's last words are probably forming shadows and doubts in what passes for his mind.

Then there was the bonus fourth thing that he wasn't aware he wanted until close to the end: Galadriel's ring, Nenya. But that slipped through his fingers literally, in much the same way Celebrimbor's soul slipped from his grasp metaphorically. (I really like that symmetry too, even if it was absurdly painful to watch.)

And Galadriel was fantastic because she played him too! I didn't see that coming, thought she was just going to throw herself backwards off the cliff, but instead she taunted the bastard and, in a move that mirrored Celebrimbor's goading of Sauron, took a fall that could have killed her rather than cede a millimeter of her will to the Enemy.

So Sauron has his army, and he has the Nine, but he's not quite winning. Not at all.

And that look at Fëanor's hammer? Well. I just responded to another post about this where we were talking about how a theme this season is that Celebrimbor is (the original) preciousss to Sauron (for all the wrong reasons) but I do hope that future seasons give us a call back to the hammer, and to Celebrimbor's dying words as Sauron's inspiration for the forging of the One.

Because I think Sauron is going to be compelled by equal parts fear and grief to forge that ring, and I hope they show that the forging of it is not quite a consensual act.

I really love this version of Sauron so far, and I want to see him suffer through that forging, I want to see him try and fail to break out of the pattern of maladaptive attachment he fell into with Melkor, and to have many flashbacks and references to our beloved Tyelpë throughout that process.

What would you do if you got your hands on a boy who thinks edging and loving on his prince part wouldn't affect him much, but you prove him wrong and make his prince part throb so much he's begging for release? I do want to add to your plate if you don't mind 😬 can I request a hotch x younger!reader fic where it's years after WITSEC and his retirement and he's remarried to someone younger he met at his new, normal person job (why do I feel like he would do a complete 180° degrees on his old life and go for the most uneventful stable job ever and the most boring hobbies ever to compensate for the FBI years, like he goes into chartered accounting and is into golf and model trains???) But she wants a change of carreer and applied to the FBI and after years of hard work she's taken as an intern in the BAU. I know, some of you might be surprised as HELL (like me lol) because candy cane Todoroki doesn't seem like the type to share his darling with ANYONE, let alone Midoriya, but... somehow, he tolerates it and there we go! You are now the darling of 2 famous Pro heroes :) 

When it comes to showing affection, Izuku will SMOTHER you ALL OVER and yes, you'll have to ask him to back up a bit since you won't be able to breathe. He likes hugs and cuddles and all that other shit whereas Shoto... well, we all know that he's a silent boi... and a shy one too. He's a tsundere no doubt about that, but he'll hug you from back and stroke your hair and catch your tiny soft adorable hands in his and spend ALOT of time admiring them (He'll love it when you cook soba for him)

At first when they kidnap you, yeah, you'll be sobbing all over the place and all that. but, they aren't THAT bad to you. They take good care of you and they NEVER force you to do something you DON'T want to do. They won't keep you in a basement with chains, oh nooo. They'll keep you chained on a comfy soft bed because they don't want their darling angel to be uncomfortable, now do they?

When you act up, they won't punish you THAT hard since they don't like seeing you hurt. However, if it gets drastic, expect waterworks from Deku and a few slappings from Todoroki (P.S: Don't EVER say he's like his dad or you won't be seeing daylight again). If it gets too regular, Deku will let Todoroki handle the punishments since he doesn't like punishing you. He prefers making you feel guilty and most of the time, that actually works. If you try to escape, Todoroki will be amused and Deku will be devastated. Deku thinks that he needs to shower you with MORE and MORE affection and you can kiss your personal space goodbye. Expect a few slappings on the wrist, the usual shoutings and the waterworks and you'll be left all alone in a room feeling isolated as your punishment. They just SIMPLY can't lay a finger on you, you're their PRECIOUSSSS!!!!! (lol, get the reference?)

Recovery period will be like heaven. Todoroki will make your favorite food, Deku will shower you with his love and all that and you'll be watching movies as they cuddle you to sleep and gently rock you back and forth, stroking your hair and making you feel calm and safe. They'll tend to your injuries and get you to laugh more and pamper the HELL out of you 

Now for the million dollar question. Would they kidnap you? ONE THOUSAND percent YESSS!!! As soon as they confess their feelings to you, whether you accept them or reject them, you can kiss your freedom and your old life back sayonanra. They'll pretend to be like your heroes by swooping in, saving you from every bad thing in this world. They just want what's best for you since they care about you ALOT (No to mention OBSESSED ASF) They want to protect their darling angel and the only way they can do that is if you are in their arms

On a scale from one to ten, Izuku loves you 1000000000000%. He keeps telling you that you're the reason for him being alive and not following Kaachan's advice by jumping off a roof in middle school and all that. He loves you so much he might actually cry if you aren't with him. Todoroki, on the other hand, loves you 90% because the other 10% of him doesn't feel like sharing you with Izuku 

If you were planning to become (insert your favorite job here), well say goodbye to that too because the only ''work'' you'll be doing after living with them is just relaxing all day long and doing whatever you want (under their supervision of course). They don't want you to work since you're already living with the 2 most famous pro heroes of Japan and you'll get everything in the blink of an eye, so why work for it? And they don't want you getting tired and stressed out and all that anyway. If you take up something like writing or drawing, they'll praise you for it. However if you ask them if you could publish your works online, don't be surprised if you get a big fat NO in response. They don't want anyone to take you away from them and they'll remind you of all the horrors and dangers of the online world 

Will they kill for you? Absolutely YES! 

Should you resist them or welcome them? Just welcome them. It'll be better for everyone, including you 

If someone has a grudge against them or they have a rival, doesn't matter. They'll be off the face of this planet before you can even call it a day 

Midoriya prefers using knives, guns, and anything sharp and pointy. Todoroki prefers using his quirk and guns

Do they torture their rivals and their victims? HELL YEAH! NO ONE deserves to even LOOK at you and BREATHE the same air as you. So, they'll just get rid of the annoying little pest that's in their way

-the pace is a bit slow, like a little TOO SLOW you kind of feel the need to drag the plot on like yeah atmosphere and cool music and let's do a 360 of the scenary ruins cool stuff SURE but also A LITTLE MORE ACTION AND ACTUAL PLOT PLEASEEE that would be cool (at least it doesn't feel like doing the main quest in a video game I'M LOOKING AT YOU MANDALORIAN)

-i'm gonna say it IT FEELS STAR WARS like YES this has that sw feel not like the mando this is more towards the vibe of the movies (not a lot but enought that i could sense it) but also more dark kind of??? And more dramatic like PAHH prolonged shot of a ch just looking around PAAHH lightsaber fight PAHHH more drama just in the music and someone walking towards something PAHHH just a full minute or 2 of sabine on her speeder bike with rock music in the background... it feels more modern in a way?? More minimalistic i dare say

kyle doesnt expect kindness/flattery to ever be targeted towards him, mainly bc his friends are kinda dicks (AHEM CARTMAN AHEM)

but when he does get this kind of treatment, he's pleasantly surprised. especially when he's at his at most limit (which is pretty frequent), being able to hear that little positive thing said about him will help kyle rest peacefully for the rest of the day.

don't worry though, a genuine nice response will almost always come in exchange. (unless the poor boy is having a really bad day, then he'll prob just act like you simply don't exist)

kyle is very good at nick-picking certain specific quirks, behaviors, and traits of the ppl he adores. like with his baby brother ike, just one little head jerk or hand movement from ike, and kyle will instantly know exactly how his baby brother is feeling.

so, in relation to you complimenting him, he now is, of course, fond of you. (ex. your eyes look a little droopy one day at school? “ hey, (name), i brought some coffee in my bag, you can have some if you want. ”)

𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐇 and it's kenny's turn to read a section of the excerpt the class is assigned. none of his three best friends have this class with him, so he's practically mute for most of the period. you never hear his voice other than a few “ hey ”s, “ mhm ”s, and “ what ”s, so a tiny part of you is lowkey excited to be able to hear the orange hooded boy speak a full few sentences for the first time. he isn't the fastest reader in the class, and definitely not one of the loudest, but something about his soft tone relaxes you. kenny's voice is strangely soothing. after he finishes, you decide to point it out.

you tap on his desk to get his attention, “ wow, i didn’t know you sounded like that, kenny. ” since you didn't elaborate, he stares at you with a blank expression in his big baby blue eyes. he slowly squints at you, silently asking for an explanation. you chuckle, “ i think your voice sounds nice, mate. you should run an asmr channel or something. ” kenny's eyes avert from left to right for two rounds before he becomes a popped bubble full of agressive cackles. the entire class stop whatever they're doing to figure what's going on, but you just give kenny a huge toothy smile.
