After a million-years-long absence of Silmarillion art, I have dropped back in to dump this dark!Maedros AU on y’all! Here he is arguing with (or threatening) Elros ^^;;

It’s also a time travel AU, where the twins go forwards in time, but them leaving the present leads to a bunch of bad events, one after the other, which in turn drives Maedros into a grieving/maddened/vengeful state. So he turns against the Elves and joins Morgoth’s side, and becomes Sauron’s rival!

Morgoth wins the War of Wrath and now rules Arda. The twins arrive in the Second Age to find everything changed, Maedros most of all. Their journey involves navigating the dark court of Himring (since Maedros got his fortress back, likely as a reward), finding out how Morgoth won, and getting back to their own time so they can prevent the bad stuff from happening. Easy, right? XDDD
