~I think~ I am at the point of a project where my skill has topped out. I have officially written this poem to the best of my ability. Is it good? Dunno. Is it the best I can do? Yes. Much like with InCo at some point you just gotta commit

The City of Atlanta Georgia has decided to demolish the research and conservation center of the Amphibian Foundation. This organization works tirelessly to conserve the Frogs, Toads, Salamanders, Newts, and other amphibians in the United States. In addition, they provide key education for herpetologists on the care, conservation, and preservation of reptiles and amphibians.
This emergency need is compounded by the government mass firing of conservation officials and the pulling of funds from many of the country's conservation organizations.
If you can help please donate here:
Key points from the Amphibian Foundation.
Our building will be demolished in 2026, and we need to identify a new location (or locations) for 7 labs and over 1,000 animals, many of which are endangered and part of critical conservation programs.
We've identified a new location for most of AF, but not our research and conservation programs. We have an amazing lead, but it's not confirmed yet.
Our first fundraising project is the AF Emergency Fund as the minimum cost estimates to move this many labs and animals safely is $50,000. (It costs about 50 USD per animal to move them)
If you can't donate.. please share... here.. and everywhere else.

The Seep by Chana Porter

Trina FastHorse Goldberg-Oneka is a fifty-year-old trans woman whose life is irreversibly altered in the wake of a gentle—but nonetheless world-changing—invasion by an alien entity called The Seep. Through The Seep, everything is connected. Capitalism falls, hierarchies and barriers are broken down; if something can be imagined, it is possible.
Trina and her wife, Deeba, live blissfully under The Seep’s utopian influence—until Deeba begins to imagine what it might be like to be reborn as a baby, which will give her the chance at an even better life. Using Seeptech to make this dream a reality, Deeba moves on to a new existence, leaving Trina devastated.
Heartbroken and deep into an alcoholic binge, Trina follows a lost boy she encounters, embarking on an unexpected quest. In her attempt to save him from The Seep, she will confront not only one of its most avid devotees, but the terrifying void that Deeba has left behind. A strange new elegy of love and loss, The Seep explores grief, alienation, and the ache of moving on.

Happy Anniversary Breaker Whiskey!
The first episode of Breaker Whiskey was posted 2 years ago today, July 24, 2023. I adore this show, so I started a project to commemorate this

This is Whiskey's route from episode 43-50, including the postcard from the largest ball of twine, marked on a 1963 Rand McNally atlas, aka the same atlas whiskey uses (many thanks to @bisexualoftheblade who gifted it to me). More pictures (including my favourite page I've done so far) below the cut

featuring: the front page of the atlas, a list of tourist attractions included in the atlas, with the ones Whiskey visits circled, a genuine postcard from Cawker City, Kansas (thank you ebay), and Whiskey's route from episodes 16-21. I had a lot of fun with the last one, since this is the first time Whiskey hears Birdie's morse code, and describes going 40 miles in each direction trying to locate the source, so I got to make up what that would look like.

I have put Iocaine powder in one of these two goblets. You choose, then we both drink.

Taking up that little thing in your pinned ~
I've been getting into audio dramas and podcasts n general of lately, and I've been sort of deep in an on and off fixation with MyHouse.wad and House of Leaves, subtle mindfuckery to suddenly the mindfuckery hits like a truck. Weirdcore maybe?
Do you have any recommendations with any podcasts you've heard that could be labeled with "mindfuckery" or left you questioning life and the entire podcast? I'd love the recommendations if you got it, thank you millions <3
OOOOOHH this is an excellent question & i am so glad you asked !! i can def think of a few like this, hopefully at least some will take ur fancy :) (all titles are linked to the respective show's website on which you can see more detailed info & ways to listen)
for weird (meta)fiction that will gradually build & creep out towards you, Archive 81 is absolutely worth a listen. each of its 3 seasons takes it in a new direction, & tbh i don't think any further description from me would give you a better experience than going in blind, but i will say that i really love the world & atmospheres that it creates.
for horror with twisting, breathing architecture, i would direct you towards suburban gothic Shelterwood (fake-true-crime in an extradimensional suburb + one of my favs of all time), or the dreamy, eerie prose of Mabel (told through voicemails - i've previously described it as sort of like if the book This is How You Lose the Time War was about a haunted house)
for a glimpse of a world into which you were not invited and are maybe not supposed to fully understand, try The Goblet Wire. if you want to also dig around for extra secret codes and messages, head for the mysterious and poignant purgatory of Remnants, or the things that lie beneath the surface of At the Bottom of the Garden's fairy stories. (i especially recommend atbotg if you've a particular interest in metafiction mindfuckery. but perhaps i've already said too much..) [i personally have not listened to enough of I Am In Eskew to describe it well, but i feel like the style of it is in this zone + i have seen it recommended by people whose tastes i trust absolutely so it goes here too]
the absolute weirdest thing i can think of (that i've heard) would have to be The Great Chameleon War, which takes you on a journey through a psychedelic landscape that defies understanding. i listened to it twice in a row and LOVED it but i still could not tell you in any real words what the fuck is really going on there<3
finally a couple other pieces of weird fiction that may not fit this exact bill but i reckon are absolutely still worth mentioning here: The Tower & SINKHOLE. there are aspects of these i think it's very likely you'd enjoy, but i also just think they're excellent examples of the wide and wonderful potential of the audio medium if you're just getting into it. plus i just love them a lot. and i am incapable of being unbiased <3
okay i think that's all i've got for rn. go forth have fun get weird

I want to play a sorcerer giving the same energy as that Brian David Gilbert "Earn 20k a Month by being your own boss" video. I wanna bring that slightly haunted corporate energy to the table.

Eclipse thought he could interrupt a bowling date, but Aika found a way to bowl anyway... _ I realized I hadn't drawn Aika in her magical girl form yet. I had to fix that because the design is absolutely stellar. 👍👍

I know, I know, I posted a casting call, like, a month ago, but I've got another one, this time for @phantompulseband!
the requirements are a lot more specific on this one - you have to be based in the LA area (we'll be doing entirely in-person recording) and be able to sing rock/punk/grunge. but the submission window is a month long, so please share it around!

Today is National Raspberry Cream Pie Day!
This pie is delicious.
…the tragedy is that I had to share.
If you want to make it yourself, it comes from SUGAR & SOUL via Rebecca Hubbell.
And if you'd like to read a cute story about baking and feelings, you can find it in the middle grade comic CRUMBLE. Written by Me, drawn by @andyharvest, and brought to you by Little Brown Young Readers.

Hello everyone! Starfall is in need of some re-casting efforts. We're looking to fill the role of River, one of our major villains, for the last four episodes of the season.
If you might be interested in playing a suave but vicious fellow with some major magic (and can preferably pull off a decent British accent) then check us out!
Auditions are open through August 22, 2025!
