yeah baby!
i have watched the tsuranga conundrum and it is SO good!
the bit of banter at the beginning to let us know they've been traveling together for a while and give a longer measure of time to the series!
the doctor freaking out about losing the TARDIS because that's her ship, that's her home, someone's going to take her, she can't lose anything else–
the way astsos grabs her and tells her she's being selfish and she pauses and realizes that he's right, that there are people who need help and if she is the doctor she will help them first and worry about herself later.
everything about astos, actually.
she doesn't like being told what to do.
the way the doctor actually gets to be injured, and she moves through it because she's used to it, she's done it before and will do it again but the way it's so visible in her body language and voice and it lasts and isn't played off in a second and ignored.
i kept worrying they were going to play yoss off for a joke, and expecting graham to be an asshole about it (i don't know why, he's beating all the allegations, he is a lovely middle aged man with useful life skills who is cool and hip with the times and is just trying to do his best by his teenage step-grandson) but it actually ended up being really sweet and the funny bits were actually funny and not haha thinly-veiled transphobia
speaking of graham just look at him. he's just a guy. i love him.
AND
THE DOCTOR
aaaaaaaa look i know it takes a bit to adjust to a new doctor, and i. hated ten. when i started season two. i did not like him. but i thought eleven was excellent in his first episode, and i'd known twelve already and got so excited to see him, so it took me a minute to get used to thirteen.
even accounting for that, it feels like the first four episodes were still adjusting to jodie whittaker as the doctor. some of the dialogue was a little awkward, and there were really good moments (tea at yaz's! the showdown moment in rosa!) but generally it just felt a little clunky and out of rhythm.
and in this episode! it! clicked!
i've decided i would die for thirteen, actually.
how she meets the general and goes so hard on being a fan, 'oh no doctor is a very common name! i'm not important! ...i think it was more like a volume, not a chapter'.
the way she's so determined to do this, to save everyone, and she doesn't know how yet but she's going to.
the particle accelerator speech. god, this bit. i rewatched it four times. she's just. something about the doctor talking about 'old' technology with a hushed awe and appreciation, talking about science like it's poetry, loving the basic facts of how the universe operates, is just. god.
and especially the ending, how she figures out a way to save them and make the p'ting happy. there was a little bit of it with the big spider, but she moved on very quickly there. here, it's just a side moment, barely even mentioned, but even just the comment about how it isn't trying to hurt anyone, just feed itself–
i love this show.

Seventeen and a half years later...
"Happy birthday, Coach," you whispered, slowly coaxing Bradley awake. He could feel your warm breath on his cheek and the weight of your hand resting on his chest.
"Mmm, Kitten," he rasped, placing his bigger hand on top of yours as he cracked his eyes open. And there you were, fresh from sleep yourself, and so beautiful with the early morning sunlight catching on the angles of your face. "It's Sunday. Why won't you let me sleep in?"
"Because it's your birthday. And we get to see Ev."
Bradley stretched and rolled over so you were pinned deliciously underneath him. "We won't get to see Ev until later this afternoon. He's going to have a very busy day."
"I'm not so sure about that," you said with a smirk as you dragged your fingers through his hair. Bradley knew he was going gray, but you claimed you liked it, including the few stray strands that found their way into his mustache.
"You sound like you've got something up your sleeve. Wait, Molly's not coming over to break the stove again, is she?"
You started laughing as you wrapped your legs around his. "Not that I know of. But anything's possible with her."
"Poor Bob," he said, pressing a kiss to your collarbone. "And the kids, too. She's an absolute menace."
Bradley pulled up your shirt and kissed his way along your breasts. If he was lucky, he'd get round one of birthday sex now and round two tonight after the game.
"Wait," he whined as you tugged your shirt back down. "What are you doing? It's my birthday."
"Yes," you agreed, kissing him once and then slipping right out of bed. "And I've been told I need to keep you on a very strict schedule. So come on. Get up."
"A strict schedule?" he mumbled. "Baby, I'm retired. My schedule revolves around making you breakfast, packing your lunch, coaching tee ball, and watching every single Phillies game."
"Well, I'll be making your breakfast today. And you can eat nachos or a hot dog for lunch even though you should be watching your sodium intake. And we will definitely catch the Phillies game," you said, reaching out to take his hand.
With one more groan, he let you lead him downstairs where you told him to sit at the kitchen counter. He passed his display case on the way and paused to look at his first Coach of the Year trophy and the baseball covered in little faded hearts that he used to propose to you. He smiled at the collection of other baseballs, including the one from the first time his son pitched a no hitter.
"Seriously, Bradley. We have a schedule to keep."
A few minutes later he had his World's Greatest Dad mug full of coffee in front of him. You kept checking the time as you pulled eggs and vegetables out of the refrigerator. Once 8:00 hit, you grabbed his phone from where it sat on the counter and entered his passcode as he sipped his coffee.
"Read this," you said, voice full of excitement.
"What is it?" he asked as you thrust the phone into his hands. It looked like he was going to have absolutely no say over what went on today, so he was just going to go with the flow.
"An article. In the Philadelphia Inquirer. It just got released two minutes ago."
"Okay," he muttered, setting down his coffee and as he started to read.
WILL SEASON FOUR BE AS LUCKY AS ONE, TWO, AND THREE?
by Harrison Boyd
June 27, 2039
From his draft day nearly four years ago to now, Everett Bradshaw has been turning heads. We had collectively wondered as baseball fans from the City of Brotherly Love if we would ever have a truly elite pitcher again after Ronson's career ending injury. But as soon as the franchise acquired Bradshaw, we were allowed to stop wondering. We have reached elite status once again. And Bradshaw shows no signs of stopping.
When I asked the freshly twenty five year old ace about the secret to his success, the first thing out of his mouth was, "My dad."
Bradley rubbed his eyes with his fingers and took a deep breath against the swell of emotions rising in his chest. "Kitten, what is this?"
You just shrugged as you cut up a green pepper for an omelette. "A feature article on Ev. Keep reading."
Bradley took a deep breath and picked up where he left off.
So I asked him, "Was your dad the one at your games who was cheering the loudest? The one who kept you motivated since you were a kid?"
"Not exactly," Bradshaw replied with a smile. "He was my very first coach. He actually still coaches tee ball in San Diego. He wins Coach of the Year so frequently, I think we've all lost count of how many of those little trophies he has at home. But anyway, I met my dad on the very first day I ever played ball. The very first time I swung a bat with instruction was from him. And he's the one who taught me how to pitch. His slider is still really hard to hit."
"You met your dad through tee ball? Through baseball? That's fascinating."
"Yes. I begged my mom to let me play. I was already obsessed with the Phillies by the time I was six. My mom took me to see them clobber the Padres at Petco Park, and I just thought they were the coolest team. So when she let me play tee ball, and I met my coach and learned he also loved the Phillies, I just wanted to spend as much time with him as I could. Turns out, they also wanted to spend time with each other. They got married a few months later. And then my dad adopted me."
While his birth name wasn't Bradshaw, Everett said he never had a close relationship with his biological father. "Really, he's not even worth mentioning. The only one I've ever considered to be my dad is Bradley. I can barely remember a time before he was taking me to the park to hit balls and teaching me how to keep stats. We did my homework together and collected baseball cards. He helped me apply to colleges. The video of him losing his mind when the Phillies drafted me went viral. My mom and my aunt and uncle are awesome, too. But my dad has always understood me in a way probably nobody else ever will."
During his four years at Vanderbilt, Everett earned a reputation as a fun loving, team oriented pitcher. But his stats were enough to catch the eye of every major league team. He pitched a no hitter against Stanford when he was nineteen, and he hit his first grand slam when he was twenty. And he's only cleaned up his form since then. For anyone not keeping track at home, Bradshaw already owns an incredible record in the MLB: he is the only player to pitch a no hitter as well as hit at least one grand slam for every year they played in the pros. His batting averages are practically unheard of for a pitcher.
It's no wonder he was heavily scouted. And he assures us that his dad was there with him every step of the way. "I didn't know anything about contracts. I just wanted to pitch. But I spent a lot of time talking things through with my dad before I made any decisions. And now everyone is making a huge fuss about my new 440 million dollar ten year extension with the Phils, but to be honest, I still just want to pitch as many games as I can."
The 'huge fuss' is being made, because Bradshaw is now the highest paid pitcher in league history. The Phillies went all in on him, however Bradshaw did adjust his deal to assure that the team would be able to keep top catcher Sanchez as well. "If Miguel Sanchez isn't catching for me and the other guys in the rotation, then that's a big problem. The team needed to retain him as well. And to be honest, Harrison, nobody needs 440 million dollars."
Bradley set his phone down, rubbed his eyes, and said, "I still can't believe our son is the highest paid pitcher ever."
"I can," you replied, adding cheese to the omelette. "He's incredible. Keep reading."
When I asked him what he plans to do with 44 million dollars per year, he kind of shied away from the answer at first. "Well my girlfriend runs a nonprofit organization back in San Diego. She helps fund underprivileged children and schools. So a lot of my income goes back to kids in the city where I grew up and beyond. But I've also been working on a bit of a project myself."
When I asked him for more details, he folded his hands on the table in front of him and took a few beats to answer. "We talked a lot about my dad and what he means to me personally, and how he has impacted my career. But I also think it's important to remember that I'm just one guy. I'm just one kid who went through tee ball and little league. There are thousands of kids across the country who benefit from those types of athletic programs every year. And some of them, just like me, really need the positive influence that the coaches bring. So my dad doesn't even know about this yet, but I'm starting the Bradley Bradshaw Foundation, which will help fund a handful of youth tee ball programs every year. This is something I've been thinking about for a long time. The coaches bring the love and dedication; they shouldn't have to worry about equipment costs and field rental fees."
Bradley dropped his phone onto the counter and tried to wipe his eyes as he sobbed. "I can't even finish reading it."
You slid his birthday breakfast onto a plate and set it in front of him. Then you wrapped your arms around his neck and let him cry against your shoulder.
"Why is he doing this?" Bradley asked you. "He knows how fucking emotional I get, Kitten."
You kissed the top of his head and whispered, "Yes, you're always very soft for us. But you're also soft and sweet for all the kids you've coached. Keep reading."
So he pushed his breakfast aside and picked up his phone once again. And once he blinked away most of his tears he read the last part.
When pressed about how he thinks his stats will pan out by the end of his fourth season, Everett 'Grand Slam' Bradshaw laughed and shrugged. "I don't know. I'm just trying for consistency. I'm trying to be a good teammate. I'm trying to make the best of every game I get to start. I'm trying to spend as much time with my family as I can. But if you really have a specific question about my stats, you should call my dad. He probably knows better than I do."
Bradley stood up from the kitchen counter and walked away from you. "I need a minute," he said, raking his hands through his hair. The love Bradley felt for his son was just simply part of him. He never took the time to try to pinpoint it exactly, because it was just built into him at this point. But he supposed it really was quite simple to reach back in his mind and pull out the moments when he started to fall in love with you and Everett. And it really was just because of the Tiny Eagles tee ball team.
If he hadn't agreed to help Bob coach that first season, his life would be fundamentally incorrect right now. He didn't even like thinking about it. But it was because of his love for Everett, and you, and baseball that he stuck with coaching. He'd spent time with countless six and seven year olds over the last eighteen years. He'd missed some practices and games for deployments here and there, sure. But giving a little bit of his time and attention to a roster of kids each spring ended up changing his life. Because while his family owned his heart, Bradley found he had quite a lot of patience and love to share with more kids.
"Bradley?" you asked softly, standing next to his untouched breakfast. "We can go see Ev when you're ready."
"I'm ready."
Bradley took a quick shower and put on his favorite jeans and his Phillies jersey with Bradshaw and the number 1 on the back. You were dressed similarly in your own Everett Bradshaw jersey; it had taken until your son was playing for the team for you to have what Bradley considered an adequate amount of Phillies clothing in your drawers. Once Bradley added his backwards hat, he was ready to go.
You took his hand and led him out to the new Bronco, and Bradley handed you the keys. He still felt like he was on the verge of tears again. "I need you to drive."
"Okay, Coach."
When you turned onto the Private Parking Only ramp at Petco Park, Bradley chuckled. "I still can't believe Ev is playing the Padres in San Diego on my birthday."
"You screamed like a small child when the schedule came out," you reminded him as you parked near the players entrance where the three of you had entered on your ballpark tour eighteen years ago.
"Yeah, I know, but we hardly ever get to see Ev during the season unless we fly to Philly." He was already climbing out before you turned the engine off, and then he took your hand as you laughed. "Shit, Kitten... it's 10:00. The game doesn't start until 1:00. Are the gates even open?"
"We can get in," you assured him, and you pulled a lanyard out of your pocket with VIP printed all over it.
"How did we get that?" he asked, leaning down to kiss you as you approached the gate together. "Ev usually just sends us box tickets."
But before you had a chance to answer, the security guard looked at the VIP pass and asked, "Which player are you here to see?"
"Everett Bradshaw?" you replied. "He plays for the Phillies."
The guard's face lit up and he said, "He just autographed a ball for my kids about ten minutes ago! Nicest guy."
"He's our son," Bradley said with pride in his voice, and you squeezed his hand a little tighter.
"Come on in," the guard said with a bright smile, unlocking the gate and sliding it open. "You can wait in the VIP lounge right up this ramp to the right. Scan the pass to unlock the door. I'll call down to the locker rooms and let him know you're here."
"Thanks," Bradley replied, and you led the way up the ramp. "Baby, I'm still a little confused about why we're here so early."
"You'll see in a minute," you replied, scanning the badge. Bradley pulled the door open when it unlocked, and he followed you into the lounge full of plush seats, TV screens, and refreshments. And at the far end, perched on the edge of one of the long tables, was Everett. He was smiling as he tucked his phone in his jeans pocket, and Bradley thought he looked impossibly taller and stronger than he had two months ago when they visited him in Philadelphia.
Bradley's eyes filled with tears as he started closing the distance to his son. "Happy birthday, Dad," Everett said with a laugh in his deep voice, but Bradley was already wrapping him up in a tight hug. He just wanted to hold all six foot two inches and two hundred and twenty pounds of his son, and Everett let him.
Bradley had to fight the onslaught of tears as the familiar feel of Ev hugging him back filled his senses, and the words from the article he read earlier flooded his mind. When he finally released him, he patted him on the shoulder. "You look good, Kiddo. Did you eat enough for breakfast? Are you still starting today?"
Ev smiled at him and nodded, "Yeah, I'm feeling good, Dad. I could probably use some of your pancakes though."
"Well why didn't you say something? I could have brought some with us. Kitten, why didn't you say something?" he asked you as you walked over to join them.
As Everett gave you an enormous hug as well, he said, "I'm thinking about sleeping over at the house with you guys tonight, since I'm not starting tomorrow. You can make me about a dozen pancakes tomorrow morning. Hi, mom."
You kissed his cheek and adjusted his backward Phillies cap. "I like your hair this way. You look so handsome, Ev.
"Of course he does," Bradley agreed. "He looks like you." And then he was rewarded with the twin smiles that you and Everett bestowed on him at the same time. "Listen, if you're coming back to the house later, I need to stop and get groceries. You ate everything in the refrigerator and drank all my beer last time."
Everett just smiled at him. "Damn, I really do miss your pancakes."
"Ev, that's an adult word," you scolded.
"Mom. I am an adult," he scolded back playfully. But he was grinning when he turned toward Bradley. "Did mom make you read the article this morning? From the Inquirer?"
"Yeah," he whispered, nodding his head. "You didn't need to do that for me, Kiddo. But thank you."
His throat was tight with unshed tears as Everett gave him another hug. "I didn't do it just for you. I did it for the other coaches and kids, too. You were just my main inspiration. You always are, dad."
"Please, Ev," he said, sucking in a deep breath as he rubbed his son's back before releasing him. "I might never stop crying."
And he was once again met with Everett's smile and yours. "You're a softie, Coach," you told him, cupping his chin in your hand and kissing him.
"Always for the two of you." Bradley kissed your fingers and then laced them with his as he looked around the room. "How much longer can you hang out with us, Ev? You need to warm up soon?"
"Pretty soon," he replied. "I'll walk you up to the box to meet Aunt Molly and Uncle Bob and the cousins, but we need to stop and take care of something first."
"Take care of what?" Bradley asked, but Ev was already heading for the door past the tables and unlocking it with his own badge. Hand in hand, the two of you followed your son down a long hallway that ended near the locker rooms at a door that said PRESS AND PLAYERS ONLY. "Are we even allowed back here?"
"Well," Everett said, stopping in front of the door, "if you remember the tour we took when I was six years old, this is where we met some of the players."
"Of course I remember," Bradley said, leaning down to kiss your cheek. "That was one of the best days of my life. I told your mom I loved her that day."
"He did," you confirmed for Everett.
"You two have always been sickening," Everett replied with a smile. "But yes, we're allowed in here. Actually dad, you're the man of the hour."
"Man of the hour?" he asked. "Kiddo, you're the star pitcher. It's just my fifty-fifth birthday."
But as soon as Everett pushed the door open and Bradley stepped inside, about twenty reporters and photographers started buzzing with excitement.
"Ev, I'm still confused," Bradley said as his son rested a hand on his shoulder. He watched you smile and head to an empty seat at the back of the room. "What's going on?"
Ev rubbed his shoulder before giving him another hug and releasing him. "Every interviewer asks me how I became successful. And my answer is always the same. It's because of you, Dad."
"Ev," Bradley choked out, his throat tight with tears once again.
"So you're in high demand, Coach. I told a few media outlets we would give an interview together. Nothing too crazy. As long as you want to."
Bradley glanced around the room, and as soon as he found you with a bright smile on your face, he said, "Okay."
So he sat down where the players sit, and Everett took the seat next to him. They had on matching jerseys and backward caps, and it didn't matter that he adopted Everett, this had always been his son. They were cut from the same cloth. They understood each other. They were a family.
Everett cleared his throat and announced, "Hey, everyone. This is my dad and my very first coach, retired naval Captain Bradley Bradshaw. He taught me literally everything I know about baseball. Everything I know about anything, really. He showed me how to pitch sliders and curveballs at Myers Park here in San Diego. He made sure I could lose a game with the same attitude as when I won a game. He and I met the first day I ever played tee ball and the very first day he ever coached. And he's been coaching the Tiny Eagles ever since. So I guess if you want to know more about me, then he's the man to talk to."
Bradley was still wiping tears from his eyes when the first interviewer raised her hand, smiled at him, and asked, "Can you tell us how proud you are of Everett?"
He turned to look at his son and smiled. "How much time do I have?"

Kanna Natsu Idol Story - 2
Written by: Akira
Season: Spring
TL: verdantcrimson
Proofread: @revuestarlight
[Two years since ES was established. In the ES building infirmary.]
Kanna: ……
Hinata: Goood morning!
Yuta: Today, were thinking of playing a hidden camera prank on the talk of the town, child prodigy, Kanna Natsu, when he wakes up!
Hinata: Because both of us in 2wink love pranks!
Yuta: —and since we've been in the business for the while, the agency was like, “C'mon, show your junior how things work around here. You guys love that sort of stuff, right?”
Hinata: There's a difference between playing a prank and bullying, though!
Yuta: But we can't disobey the agency. That's just life, y'know? We've gotta work hard and pull this off in order to maintain our character image.
Hinata: Why do you seem weirdly pumped about this, Yuta-kun?
Yuta: This guy is Kanna Natsu, y'know…… Everyone's making a fuss about what a genius he is, but he's still just a brat, and seeing him get more attention than us pisses me off.
Yuta: We've gotta punish this ill-mannered newbie, don't we?
Hinata: Whoops, it's getting hard to keep my brother's wickedness in check these days, yknow~?
Hinata: Ah, but he's acting like this on purpose because that's the kind of image he's decided on! Yuta-kun is actually a good kid!
Hinata: All of you watching at home, please don't misunderstand!
Yuta: Hell yeah, that's the perfect excuse. Now, no matter how cruel and inhumane I behave, I can just say it's because my agency or my producer told me to play that sort of character.
Yuta: I can use that to justify my bullying. Hehehe.
Hinata: How wicked… Looking at you these days makes your big brother worry, Yuta-kun.
Hinata: …..Hm?
Kanna: ……
Kanna: ……?
Hinata: I knew this would happen. Look, look, Yuta-kun! Natsu-kun is awake already!
Yuta: Huh, No way. He looked like he was fast asleep— Maybe we made too much of a racket?
Hinata: What should we do? Should we abort mission? I didn't really want to do an unfunny and old-school prank like that anyways, so I'm fine with it.
Yuta: It sounds like you were making a fuss on purpose so that the plan would fail.
Kanna: Good morning.
Hinata: Ah, yup. Morning. You sure slept well.
Kanna: Yes, thank you. Though sleeping isn't something I do for leisure.
Kanna: I don't get the opportunity to sleep when I'm occupied with research, so I try to sleep as much as I can whenever I find time.
Kanna: Also, if I pretend to be asleep, everyone will leave me alone.
Hinata: Oh, so you were just pretending to be asleep? Then, did you realize we were trying to prank you?
Kanna: Yes. Though, even when I'm asleep, one half of my brain stays awake.
Yuta: Are you a dolphin?
Hinata: That's so genius-core.
Kanna: I think anyone could do it with enough training.
Yuta: Tsk tsk tsk. It's exactly because all that training is so tedious that nobody would ever be able to make a name for themselves as a genius.
Kanna: I see. I understand now.
Kanna: I think that if anyone focused all their efforts on a single thing for approximately a year, they could become an expert in that field.
Kanna: Only a child like myself would be able to concentrate on a single thing for as long as they want to, correct?
Kanna: Any adult, I mean, essentially everyone, requires time to eat, play, socialize, and maintain their physical and mental health.
Kanna: It is quite difficult to concentrate on a single thing.
Kanna: That is why they fall short of success. Yes, people who are able to do that to some extent from the very beginning— Only they are successful and lauded as geniuses.
Kanna: If everyone is limited to only being able to spend a fraction of their time on their efforts, then only those who are privileged are able to succeed and win.
Kanna: That is the reason, correct? It's logical. I can understand this.
Hinata: I've been wondering, what on earth is this kid going on about…?
Yuta: You like making theories about other people based on their behavior and then feeling like you've understood them, don't you?
Kanna: Yes. Because I'm around that age. That's adolescence, I suppose.
Hinata: Yeah, well I don't believe that! If you treated any older kid like a ‘teenage brat’ they'd get angry and rebel. They'd never admit that they're going through puberty!
Kanna: Maybe that was just the case for you, Yuta Aoi.
Hinata: … Oh? Huh? Ermm?
Kanna: It's easier to live when you believe that your ‘normal’ and the world's ‘normal’ aren't congruent.
Kanna: I've long since given up on that sort of premise.
Kanna: I'm different from everyone else. I'm certain, nothing can be done about this.
Hinata: Ummm… I'm terribly sorry if we're boring you or something, but I think there's been a misunderstanding, so let me clear it up.
Hinata: I'm Hinata.
Yuta: And I'm Yuta.
Kanna: No.
Kanna: I know about you two. The twin idols from Cosmic Productions, 2wink.
Kanna: The two of you have changed your marketing strategy as of late, with the older brother Hinata continuing to present as a cheerful a good kid—
Kanna: —While the younger brother, Yuta, differentiates himself from his older brother by growing out his hair and selling a ‘bad kid’ image.
Kanna: That is what the established theory is.
Hinata: The established ‘theory’?
Yuta: Those are just facts.
Kanna: What are illusions?
Hinata: Huh, why'd you bring that up suddenly? What are you talking about?
Kanna: An illusion, or ‘sleight of hand’, is something that takes advantage of people's imagination.
Kanna: You make the world think that ‘the twins have differentiated their appearances and begun walking separate paths.’
Kanna: That way, you can do as much deception as you please.
Kanna: The twins that are supposedly never interchangeable, swap places in secret. Older brother becomes younger brother. Younger brother becomes older brother.
Kanna: Characteristic differences in hair length can also be accounted for using wigs and such.
Kanna: People tend to assume based on their prior knowledge, that ‘the one with longer hair must be the younger brother,’ since both brothers have similar facial features and so on.
Hinata: … Even if all of that were true, what good would it do for us to impersonate each other?
Kanna: Simply put, you two probably just enjoy those sorts of tricks.
Kanna: Furthermore, there are countless merits to being able to switch places. That is probably why having twins swap places is considered taboo, even in the most hard-core of detective novels.
Kanna: It's simply too convenient. It'd be used to forge alibis to no end, because now, anything goes.
Kanna: Additionally, if you succeed at your trivial ‘swapping places’ prank, you'd be able to make a fool of the child prodigy brat that everyone is making a fuss about, correct?¹
Kanna: You'd be able to say “That kid acts like he's a genius, but he's an oblivious idiot who couldn't even notice we switched places.”
Hinata & Yuta: ……
Kanna: 2wink is a unit comprised of a ‘good kid’ older brother and a ‘bad kid’ younger brother.
Kanna: Recently, it seems as though the two of them have truly diverged and are trying to pursue their own paths.
Kanna: That is why. Even if the younger brother was specifically requisitioned for work that would earn him points or experience as a ‘good kid’— The older brother would swap in and take his place. The reverse applies as well.
Kanna: So the two of you steadily gain experience and continue growing, correct?
Kanna: You're each trying to specialize in being a ‘good kid’ and ‘bad kid’.
Kanna: Waiting for an opportunity, with nobody any wiser.
Yuta: ……
Kanna: I don't have much interest in anything. However, I find your impressive tactics very interesting.
Kanna: I'm not trying to get in your way. However, by exposing your actions like this, I can render your footage unfit for broadcast.
Kanna: Even if what I said just now might be untrue.
Kanna: If the world's people begin to doubt you, you'll have a hard time operating. They might begin to think things like “Maybe they've swapped places?” or “Are they playing tricks?”
Kanna: All the earnest and serious people of the world will begin to view you poorly.
Kanna: That probably would not be desirable for you.
Kanna: I apologize. Being filmed and broadcasted in my sleep is quite embarrassing.
Kanna: That is why I have taken these preventative measures to keep it from occurring. Please understand that I bear no ill-will towards the two of you.
Kanna: That is all. I'm going to go back to bed now. Goodnight.
Kanna: Zzz, zzz.
Yuta: ……
Hinata: … He ended up being the real deal.
Yuta: Yeah. I figured it was just the usual hype you see on TV and magazines.
Hinata: (But really, I never thought he'd notice we ‘switched’.)
Yuta: (Yup. I thought nobody could tell. But this kid saw through us, probably just through a glimpse of our activities on the news or on the internet.)
Hinata: (To top it all off, just in case— He made sure we wouldn't get in trouble even if we did air it, by following it up with “what I said might be untrue.”)
Yuta: (He didn't want to inconvenience us, so he acted considerately.)
Hinata: (This brat sure acts full of himself. I ought to scribble on his face while he sleeps.)
Yuta: (Give it a rest already... Let sleeping gods lie, Yuta-kun.)²
Hinata: (You're such a good kid, Hinata-kun.)
Yuta: (And you’re a bad kid, right, Yuta-kun?)
Kanna: Zzz, zzz…♪
Hinata: (This kid might be incredible— more than anyone could imagine.)
Yuta: (But his sleeping face is adorable, just like any other normal kid's would be, y’know)
Translation notes
He's repeating back the same phrases that Hinata and Yuta used to describe him while he was 'sleeping'..
The original saying is '触らぬ神に祟りなし' which is means the same thing as 'let sleeping dogs lie', but I retained the 神 portion because I figured it might be a fun play on Kanna's first name '神無'

Okay so this post may initially come off as corny to some, but I just had to make a birthday related IWTV post. Today is my birthday, and it's the first one I've celebrated being apart of the fandom. I started watching the show in March of this year and I don't think I'm the only one who feels like their life has completely changed😅. Without a doubt, IWTV is the best series I've ever seen and that's coming from someone who has watched many many shows and has had some obsessions here and there back in the day. From Buffy, to TVD (give or take a season), GOT (years after it ended), and so many more, but IWTV hits me on a whole different level that I could have never imagined.
When the show came out in 2022, I'll admit I didn't give it a chance like I should have, and apart of me is grateful that I didn't, because I don't know how you all survived the year & half hiatus. I almost didn't survive waiting only TWO months for the new season, so I can only imagine how it felt to wait even longer.
If you follow my blog or have seen a random post from me, it's no secret that I am a huge Loustat fan and I have such a tremendous soft spot for Jam. (I've spent an embarrassingly long time watching interviews and clips of them, and I can't get enough). Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid are both incredible and amazing at what they do. I absolutely can't wait for season 3 and all it has to offer. Ready to see some promotional images, videos, trailers, cast announcements, etc.
What's been getting me through this hiatus has been a lot of phenomenal things. Many people in this fandom have been wonderful and have provided great information and interesting theories (some I'm hoping play out). No, I haven't read the books but I do know quite a bit about what goes on and that's thanks to a lot of research and the many people in this fandom.
Sometimes the fandom can be on one and things can get crazy, but for the most part it's been a real treat getting to experience this show with those who love it just as much. From the fanfiction that is now apart of my daily read, to the fan videos, and definitely to the beautiful artwork from the most talented people out there (I think I have a redbubble problem with as much merch I have purchased). It's all just been a real mind-blowing experience, and I've pretty much "fallen into a well with no bottom."
And let's not forget the most amazing cast, show runners, writers, directors, etc. Yes, I absolutely LOVE Jam, but the whole entire cast was made for this show and their acting is astounding. I would love to meet them in real life one day as I've heard nothing but great things.
So, moral of this novel of a post, and if you've stuck with it this far, is I just wanted to say how much I desperately love the show and the talent that this fandom has showcased.
Not only that, I've met one of my dearest friends from this fandom. You know who you are♥️♥️♥️ And words aren't enough to express how much your friendship means to me.
So, I wanted to list below just a few things from myself and others.
If you read fanfiction and you're interested in an au/human loustat, check out my first fic in the fandom: "it's like a best friend, but more." So far, there are only 15 chapters with 5 left to go.
For more of my favorite fics, I've created a fic rec list. This list will be updated throughout.
I have a new loustat video posted. Check it out if you're interested.
A huge shout out to @haflacky for creating this beautiful loustat commission piece. I am still in awe and super grateful.
And if you want to follow me on twitter/x, youtube, and tiktok feel free 🥰
I'm staying lowkey this birthday and spending the rest of the day rewatching both seasons and working on a new chapter.
Until next time ♥️

Just A Lady (Part 4)
DESCRIPTION: After the party you go back home. But you don't go back alone.
A/N: The second half of season 3 came out yesterday (as of me posting this) and I am so excited to watch it! Sadly I go on holiday the day it comes out so I may not be able to watch it until the following week!
I do hope you enjoy this part - it doesn't follow the timeline of the story so no spoilers are in here if you are concerned. Just have some pure Benedict smut and fluff

- I wrote this in my knowledge of sex workers and I am truly sorry if I got it wrong and/or is offensive, that is not what I intended to do and Im sorry if that is the case
- This is fiction. Please always talk to your partner before doing anything and make sure they are ok with what you are doing beforehand
You stretch as the morning sun leaks in through your curtains. Sitting up as you look around yourself. Flinging the covers from yourself as you head to the window. Moving the curtains as you take in the sunshine. Taking in a breath, admiring the view. A knock at the door brings you out of your thoughts. You turn to face the doorway.
"Come in". You say. A servant comes in. Smiling at you.
"Ma'am. Breakfast is being served. Lady Bridgerton asked us to come and inform their guests". You nod and smile.
"Thank you. I will get dressed and be down shortly". She nods. Exiting the room and shutting the door behind her. You go over to your bag. Taking off your shirt and placing it onto the chair. Putting on your day dress before you head to the breakfast room.
Ornate food layed out. You stop yourself from uttering a curse in shock at the sight as you see the Bridgertons sat down. Sitting next to Daphne as Anthony sits at one end of the table, Violet the other end. The oldest son giving you a very disgusted look as you pull in your chair.
A silence fills the room as they start indulging in the food. You grab several of the pastries. Stuffing your face with them. Looking opposite you, seeing Colin shake his head slightly. Silently showing you how to eat the items. You smile. Dabbing your mouth with the back of your hand before delicately eating the food laid out before you. Some time passing before Violet speaks up.
"It is getting quite late. What is the time?" she says. Looking around to locate a non existent clock in the room.
"Just after 10 am ma'am". One of the servants says.
"Really?" you say.
"Everything ok?" Daphne asks next to you
"Yes. Yes. I just planned on being home at 10 today"
"No do stay for longer" Eloise says. Smiling at you.
"I cant I'm sorry. I need to go back home. I've got stuff I need to attend to"
"No do stay. Please" she smiles at you. You tilt your head slightly.
"If she needs to go then we should let her leave" Anthony says "For the best, I feel" His gaze harsh as he looks at you. You try not to laugh at his obvious annoyance of your presence. Nodding as you smile at him.
"Exactly Mr Bridgerton" you stand. "Thank you for the food and the place to sleep". You pick up another pastry. "I'll just take this to go". Violet looks at you in a slight confusion as you take a bite from it. Turning as you head out the room. Picking up your evening dress from the chair as you shove it into your bag. Eating the rest of the bun as you push it in with your other hand. Placing the bag onto your shoulder before walking out the door.
It was a long but joyous walk home. A smile plastered on your face as you get to the brothel. In a state of euphoria as you change into your more mundane clothing before walking back home. Being greeted by your girls. Being bombarded by them as they ask you a multitude of questions. You answer them all. Placing your bag onto the sofa as you do your chores. Washing up. Washing in general. Plus the outside animals.
You tend to Rebecca. Her arm seemed to be in good condition. Not seeming to be infected and healing nicely. Going out to grab the clothes from the line as the girls stop questioning you. Well, more you started threatening them with helping you. Causing most to run away. Apart from Sofia and Daisy who started to help you fold the clothes up. The others off admiring the chickens. Playing in the garden.
The day goes by as normal. You all get ready for bed as the day ends. Piling into your overcrowded room at night. Two beds being shared between the 7 of you. It was a squeeze but you were used to it. Different experience to what you had the night before.
You wake up early. Quietly getting out of bed and getting dressed. You go to the chickens. Collecting the eggs. Heading to the house and placing them into a basket. There is a gentle knock at the door. You place the last egg down. Wiping your hands onto you dress as you go over to the door. Opening it your smile is met with confusion as you see Benedict outside.
"Mr Bridgerton" you say. He smiles at your obvious confusion. You step put. Him stepping to allow you room as you pull the door behind you. "What are you doing here?"
"You have my shirt from last night. Or the night before I suppose". You shake your head.
"No I don-" you think back. You remember chucking the shirt on the chair. The chair that had your evening dress on. The same dress you packed in the morning. In a rush. Not paying much attention to anything else. "I may have accidentally picked it up"
"I thought I'd come by and collect it first hand. If I don't take it back then word might get out that you borrowed it. And then rumours will spread about why you would have my shirt"
"Ah. We cant be having that". You open the door again. Going over to the bag as he follows you inside your small home. "How did you remember where I lived?"
"I may have gone to your work and asked about you"
"Yeah I'm sure that's the only reason you went to my work" you smile at him. Taking out his shirt and handing it to him. He takes it. Looking at the material in his hands. "You ok?"
"Yes. I'm fine" he looks up at you. "If I leave this here then it gives me a reason to come back tomorrow". You roll your eyes as you smirk at him.
"You read to many romance books"
"Or I'm just a hopeless romantic" he smiles at you. Causing you to chuckle.
"Either way, you need to get back to your family. I'm sure they're missing you"
"They probably haven't even realised I'm gone".
"Well... I need to do stuff today". you shut the bag with your dresses in "I have a day of housework to catch up on".
"I can help, if you'd like". You look at him. Biting your bottom lip.
"I don't expect you to invite me to a party then 24 hours later help me organise and tidy my home". You pause momentarily. "How about this - I'll be at work later tonight. Why don't you meet me there? We can catch up, away from prying eyes". He raises an eyebrow. A cocky smile on his face as his eyes dart to your lips.
"You want me to meet you in a brothel?"
"I can come round to your house if you'd rather. See your brothers agai-""
"No. No need for that"
"Are you sure? I think Anthony is really warming up to me".
"I'll meet you tonight". You smile.
"I look forward to it". He smiles back. Turning on his heel before walking away. "I start work at 7" you call after him. He turns and waves at you. Walking backwards you see the grin on his face before he turns again. Shirt in hand as you see him walk off into the distance.
-
You say goodnight to the girls before heading off to work. Telling them you'll be back later. You have a quick smoke before meeting with a client. A very, very quick ordeal happens between the two of you. Leaving him very hot and sweaty and you feeling... nothing. You bid him ado. Taking his money and placing it into your knee high sock. Wrapping a silk dressing gown around yourself as you go back out to the main part of the brothel.
You have a drink. A quick shot of whiskey as one of the newer girls comes over to you. Grabbing your arm, she speaks in a very high pitched tone. "You have a friend. This is the second time hes come here asking after you". She turns. Following her gaze you see Benedict. You smile at him, catching his eye he smiles back. You lift a hand, waving him over. "No what are you doing?"
"Telling my friend to come over to me"
"You don't understand. That's a Bridgerton. They are loaded. Plus he is handso-"
"Ladies" he says. His smile enough for the both of you.
"Mr Bridgerton" you smile at him "I'm glad to see you got my invitation"
"Is this your usual type of meeting place or?" Your friend speaks up. Smiling at him as he chuckles.
"No. Not usually"
"Ok. That's good. I think. Isa is that good?"
"I don't know" just as shes about to say something else you cut her off. "Shall we go somewhere more private?" Meeting the males eyes. Both of them looking at you. He nods. Standing up you hold a hand out towards him to which he takes. Leading him to a room and shutting the door. "I apologise about my friend. She's new and doesn't quite understand the etiquette yet". He chuckles and shakes his head.
"Nothing to be sorry for. She seems nice". He watches as you go and sit on the bed. Pulling the robe around you a bit more.
"I don't think I did ever say thank you properly did I?". He tilts his head slightly.
"For?"
"The party the other day. My goodness it was amazing. And..." you lean forward slightly. A smile on your lips "your brothers didn't murder me. Which I'm taking as a good thing". He laughs. Folding his arms as he leans against a wall.
"That was a surprise to be fair". You nod. Leaning back as you look at the ceiling. Resting your hands onto your lap.
"I still cant believe that you live like that everyday"
"We don't have a ball everyday" he says. You tilt your head. Watching as he makes his way over to the bed. Sitting next to you.
"Whats the point of having a house that big if you don't have parties in it at every opportunity" he chuckles. Moving his gaze forward as your head remains turned towards him.
"Its a lot of work. Gone into each party that is. The catering and the dancing"
"I can imagine it gets quite socially draining too. Always needing to say the correct things to the correct people". He nods. Turning his head back to you. "I don't think I could wear a corset for that long either". He chuckles softly.
"Thats why I enjoy your company"
"Because you don't have to wear a corset around me? Oh I'm flattered" you smile as his grin grows.
"I know I don't have to be proper with you. That I can be who I truly am and you wont judge me or think that there's someone better out there". He reaches forward. Taking one of your hands in his. His eyes remaining on yours as he brings your delicate hand up. Gently kissing the back of it. "I am grateful for our friendship". You smile at his words. Softness in your eyes as you look at him.
"You sure you don't want to take up poetry rather then art? It seems to be your calling" he chuckles. Looking downwards. Holding your hand in his as he rests it on his leg. Stroking the back of it with his thumb.
"No words I wrote could describe your beauty and grace. Only an image could do it justice". You smile. He moves his head back up. Your gaze falling upon each other. You move your body. Facing towards him more. Your free hand coming up and gently brushing the stray hairs from his forehead. Tracing down his temple. His cheek. Jawline. Your eyes following your finger as you use it to outline his features.
He brings his hand up. Gently cupping your cheek. Drawing your eyes to look at his. He leans forward, kissing you. You melt into him. Your hands falling to his chest. He brings his hands to the tie of your dressing gown. Undoing it. His hands trailing up the sides as he pushes the soft fabric from your shoulders. He moves away. Bringing his mouth to your neck, then shoulder. Kissing along it. You shut your eyes. A soft sigh leaving your lips as you bring a hand to his hair. He bites at the skin. Causing you to gasp. The suddenness making your back arch. Pressing into him more.
He moves his body. Kissing your lips as he comes in front of you. Pushing you to lie on the bed. His body coming over yours. Your hands coming and cupping his face. He moves away, about an inch. Looking down at you as you lie beneath him. You nudge his nose with yours. Brushing your lips against his. He smiles. Kissing you again. Then your jawline. Throat. Collar bone. Making his way down. Kneeling before you. Gently placing his palms onto your knees as he pushes them apart.
"So beautiful" he whispers. He strokes over your legs. Throwing them over his shoulders before he leans forward. His tongue pressing against you. Your breath hitches, followed by a low groan. One arm wraps around your hip. His hand resting on your stomach. Bringing the other up, he pushes his finger into you. Curling it once his knuckle hits you.
"Holy fuck" you drawn out speech fills the room. Both your hands reach down. Grabbing his hair as he inserts another digit into you. Dragging them along that sweet spot inside of you. His tongue doing wonders on your clit as mewled speech leaves your lips. His hand resting on your stomach pushes down. Adding just the right amount of pressure to your build up.
"Please. Please sir" you beg. Trying to grind your hips against him as he attacks your cunt. He hums against you. Wet sounds filling the room as your high builds and builds. You clutch at his hair. Trying to bring him closer to you. The continuing motions on you causing your orgasm to hit you. You squeeze your legs together. The filthiest moan leaving your lips as you let it wash over you. You breath heavily as he slows his fingers. Removing his mouth from you, he comes up. Gently kissing your neck as his fingers still move inside of you.
You run a hand through his hair. The other running up the length of his arm. "I-I want to feel you. All of you. Please" you whisper. Head tilting downwards so you can speak into his ear. He removes his fingers. Tracing his fingers over your clit, causing you to jolt. A soft whine leaving your lips as he moves off of you. Your eyes on his as he stands before you.
His hand goes to the bottom of his shirt. Bringing it up and over his torso. You lean up on your arms. Biting your bottom lip as your eyes scan over his torso. He brings a hand down. Undoing the button of his trousers. Pushing them and his undergarments down his legs. You take in a breath at the sight. Eyes going back up to his eyes as he gives you a cocky smile. Coming back over he takes your face in his hands. Kissing you harshly. You hands gripping his wrists.
He pushes you back down onto the bed. Resting on his forearm as his other hand stays on your cheek. You put your legs either side of his waist. Lips still connected with his as he removes his hand from your face. Lining himself up with your opening. He moves from the kiss. You hands gently running over his shoulders. Eyes watching your face as he pushes into you. Agonizingly slowly. You moan out. Your hands gripping at him.
"Fuck" he mutters. Filling you up completely. You wrap your arms around him. Your legs crossing over his waist. His chest pressing into yours as he kisses you. Starting to move his hips. A slow grind. His hand comes up. Resting near your head. You moan into his mouth. Moving away as your mouth becomes slightly agape. Soft gasps and moans filling his ears as he watches you. A smile continuing to stay on his face as you break underneath him. You flutter your eyes.
"Keep your eyes on me". You nod slightly. Opening them. Making eye contact with him. A gentle blush coming over your cheeks at the intimacy of the moment. "Good girl" he smiles. Kissing you. Moving his hand from by your head downwards. His hand finding where you two meet. His thumb gently stroking over your clit.
"F-fuck". You mutter. The blush growing more as you keep his steady gaze. His slow movements inside of you matching perfectly with the delicate movements of his thumb. "You f-feel... s-so good...". He smiles. Gently kissing your lips again as he fastens his pace. His thumb stilling on your clit. Pushing down onto it hard as his hips start to piston in and out of you. "Fuck fuck fuck". You groan. Your nails digging into his back. Every ounce of you keeping your eyes open as you keep his gaze.
"Sir. P-please". His smile growing. Kissing your forehead. Your toes start to curl. A moan leaving your lips as you feel your second orgasm hit you. Your legs tightening around him, bringing him close to you as you clench around his length.
"Shit" he mutters. Pulling himself out of your incredibly inviting hole. Seconds later feeling his seed hitting your thigh. You come down from your high. Shutting your eyes as he rests his head onto your shoulder. You kiss his temple. Stroking his shoulder blades. Feeling the small indentations from your nails being left on his skin. He kisses your shoulder before rolling next to you. Lying on his back as he shuts his eyes. His chest heavy as he regains his composure. You stand up. Walking over to where you keep clean towels. Grabbing some and cleaning yourself up first. Going back over to him.
"May I?". He looks at you. His cocky smile having softened as he nods. You clean him up. Gently kissing the centre of his chest before you grab your gown. Wrapping it around yourself, doing the tie up in the front. He sits up. Holding a hand out towards you. You go over to him. Taking his hand as he pulls you onto his lap. Resting his hands on your hips. You kiss him. A soft hum leaving your lips. Wrapping your arms around his neck before you part.
"We should do this again sometime" he says. His smile ever cocky as he runs his hands up your sides.
"That we should. However, I need to get back to work". He fake pouts. "Come on handsome. You need to get back to your home. And I need to get back to mine". He nods. Kissing you. His arms going around your waist. Pulling you close to him. You smile into the kiss. Shaking your head as you stand up. Playfully pushing his arms. "If I stay here with you then I will never leave this room"
"Would that be such a bad thing?". You bite your lip. Smiling at him. He smiles back. Grabbing his shirt and trousers he stands up. You turn to give him privacy. Hearing him shuffling as you assume he gets dressed. Feeling a hand come to your shoulder. You turn, looking up at him as his hand moves from your shoulder to your cheek. Leaning down and kissing you. You have to control yourself not to melt into him. He moves away.
"Thank you for a wonderful evening Isabella. I will remember it". He moves away. Straightening his clothes again before he opens the door. Turning back to face you as he gives you a last smile. You smile at him as you watch him leave through the building and out the front door.

brief reviews of all the manga i read while i was procrastinating from finishing my anime reviews
instead of actually watching a lot of the new anime that's coming out this season, and also instead of writing the anime reviews i had been planning to write for the previous three and a half months, i read a ton of manga in my downtime. here's what i read:
kindergarten wars: action romcom? say fucking less. it nails both sides of that dichotomy very well, though i'm still waiting for a little more commitment to the romance side. it gets surprisingly heavy at times and those emotional beats pack some serious punches. this is gonna make a banger of an anime one day.
blue box: save for dungeon meshi and maybe frieren, this is my favorite manga i've picked up so far this year. a damn good slice of life romance and a damn good sports manga at the same time. i'm beyond excited for the anime this fall.
hirayasumi: god, this rips. cozy as fuck, sweet as all get out, but doesn't shy away from portraying its characters as jealous, selfish people when things don't go their way. the art has a lovely sketchy vibe to it; almost gives off "grown up skip and loafer" vibes, and how appropriate that the scanlation group handling it also does skip and loafer! already bought the first volume.
kagurabachi: i hated the memes surrounding this manga when it debuted and never once found them funny, but i eventually gave in and picked it up while it's still relatively new. it's solid! i can see this continuing to improve as the mangaka finds more of a voice. some really excellent splash pages and i can see this being adapted into a really good-looking anime somewhere down the line.
the way of the househusband: it's pretty one-note as gag manga go, but it's a very funny note. seeing an ex-yakuza tackle daily mundanity with the exact intensity you'd expect is always great. it can get a little repetitive, and it even lampshades its running jokes, but it still works most of the time. the art is OUTSTANDING in this too.
telework yotabanashi: i already talked about this when i finished it and it's a short one but it's worth mentioning. kintetsu yamada can do no wrong. i adored sweat and soap so i knew i was gonna like this one, and i was right! very satisfying despite its length and a very lovely story for a very specific moment in time.
tales of wedding rings: yes, the anime drove me halfway insane until i dropped it, and i went ahead and read the manga anyway. it's decent as trashy isekai go. the story goes in a slightly unexpected direction and it's very slowly approaching the finish. the surprising thing was that all of the nudity in the anime was anime-original; the manga doesn't really lean into full-on nudity until a major story climax (lol) and from there the floodgates burst open (lol). my complaints from watching the anime still stand, and the anime still looks like dogshit (especially compared to the source material), but i'll finish it out.
i also read nozoki ana but uh, we're not gonna talk about that today.

2019 debut year <> what is his problem?
word count: 2.1k TW: a bucket of snark, cold wonwoo, mentions of bullying, swearing italics are in english, bolded words are in mandarin
౨ৎ ─── ─── ──౨ৎ─── ─── ──౨ৎ─── ─── ──౨ৎ
"Mingyu!" Cyana yelled from across the living room, her leg propped up as she sat icing her swollen ankle.
The boy in question slid into view, stumbling a little for balance as he grappled with the slippery wooden floors. "Yes, princess?"
Cyana made a little face at the nickname. "Can you charge my phone for me please? I left it in the kitchen and I can't stand up." She pouted at the mention of her rolled ankle. "And I thought I told you not to call me that."
Mingyu let out a deep sigh. "It's fitting though, don't you think? You are seventeen's princess." He poked her ankle gently. "Look at me, waiting on you hand and foot."
She sent him a glare. "You're the reason I'm like this." She let her upper half crumple dramatically onto the couch.
Mingyu had came rushing into practice this afternoon, colliding into an unaware Cyana, who had just been trying to leave the room for water. Everyone had chalked it up to the fact that Mingyu only ever looked parallel to his height, and could not see Cyana below him.
"I've already apologized." He whined, leaving to grab her phone. "You're even sleeping over so I can take care of you. Seungcheol said it was my punishment. You know only special people can ever enter the Minwon residence."
She scoffed. She noticed she was unnaturally riled up today, annoyed by the pain and inconvenience of not being able to walk. "Special, my ass."
"Hey." Mingyu stared at her from the doorway, having been on his way to grab a charger for her phone. He sent her a frown. "I understood that."
Cyana stuck out her tongue in retaliation, smiling to herself when it got a loud laugh from Mingyu. She watched him walk out of view, probably to his room to grab his charger.
They really had started to feel a little like family, Cyana realized as she sat there, with nothing to do but to ponder. She wouldn't have ever expected to be enjoying small moments like this, despite her ankle still throbbing. She also wouldn't have ever thought this job would be anymore than purely working. She never imagined she'd make friends, let alone call 13 boys her family. Well, 11 boys, she correctly ruefully. Woozi had been refusing to speak to her since the Hug BPM incident, although Cyana noticed he had changed it to be 138. Wonwoo was another one who seemed to be doing everything under the sun to avoid her, despite them literally being under the same roof right now. He had helped Mingyu move her from the car to their couch, gave her a look over and retreated to his room.
She let out a huff. She'd been here for nearly two months now, and comeback season would begin in less than two weeks. Wonwoo or Woozi (preferably both) would have to get their shit together sooner or later, before fans began to notice and shit started getting stirred.
Mingyu knocked twice on Wonwoo's door before entering. The last time he had walked in unannounced, a controller had been sent flying his way.
"Wonwoo hyung~" He called, reaching over to move Wonwoo's headset slightly off his ear. "Can I borrow your charger?"
Wonwoo frowned, blinking at Mingyu, his eyes adjusting from the bright screen back to reality. "Why?" Mingyu's phone wasn't adaptable to his charger head.
Mingyu waved the lilac phone in his hand. "Cyana's phone."
"She's got you charging her phone for her now?" Wonwoo muttered, getting up to grab it from the floor next to his bed. "Puppy."
"Hey!" Mingyu protested indignantly. "Her ankle's injured. I'm just helping. Like you should be doing."
Wonwoo frowned. "Why would I?"
"She's family."
Wonwoo scoffed. "She's not family. Family is the people who were there with us in that fucking lime green room."
Mingyu cut his eyes at the older boy, disappointed. "Cyana's a good person. You'd know if you'd just give her a chance."
"She's a ticking time bomb, Gyu. You need to realize that." Wonwoo's shoulders sagged as he sighed, handing over his charger. "She's going to blow up our comeback either way."
"You've been talking too much with Woozi hyung." Mingyu decided. "One skeptic's enough in this group."
"She's got 11 cheerleaders and knights-in-waiting already." Wonwoo quickly countered, sitting back down and putting his headphones back on, clicking open a new game. "I just don't think we'd get along."
Mingyu rolled his eyes. "She's literally you, Wonwoo. Down the a T." He groaned when the older boy gave no reaction, the headphones blocking his words. "Aish-" He slapped the back of Wonwoo's head gently. "Idiot."
Returning back to the living room, he plugged the charger in the outlet next to Cyana and handed her her phone. "You better thank Wonwoo later, it's his charger."
Cyana groaned. "Why~ Couldn't you have just grabbed yours?"
"My charger doesn't fit your phone, nana." Mingyu frowned. "Did something happen between you and Wonwoo hyung or what?"
"What do you mean?"
Mingyu took a seat next to her, hands reaching over to bring her injured foot into his lap, massaging her ankle. "Just mean that there has to be a reason you hate each other, that's all."
"I don't hate him, Gyu." Cyana sighed. "I just don't like being where I'm clearly not wanted."
"I'll talk to him."
Cyana shook her head. "No, no. Don't make it worse. It's okay, Gyu." She patted his arm. "Wonwoo not liking me isn't going to destroy me. As long as he hides it well during recordings, we're fine."
"He's my best friend though~" Mingyu whined. "I want my two best friends to get along well."
Cyana let out a shaky laugh, hit by a sudden jolt of pain when Mingyu pressed on a particular spot. "Sadly we don't always get what we want." She squeezed his shoulder. "Really, though. It's okay. I still have more friends than I ever had before."
He frowned. "What's that supposed to mean?"
She shrugged. "I didn't really have friends growing up, is all. I was busy."
Mingyu looked at her sadly. "That's not good. Childhood friends are the best. You didn't make any at school?"
Cyana thought for a little bit, reaching over to move Mingyu's fingers to a certain spot where she felt like the pain was the most. "I had some friends in Vancouver, but once we moved to LA, everyone kind of already had friends. So it was awkward to join them."
"Oh." Mingyu couldn't wrap his head around the idea that Cyana didn't have friends in LA. She was so comforting and funny and pretty and good.
"They were all mean anyways." Cyana shrugged off the heaviness that the memories had brought her. "Not very friend-material."
Mingyu nodded. "I guess." He was still sad though, imagining lonely baby Cyana in the middle of a busy and large LA.
Sensing his sadness for her, Cyana offered him a bright smile. "I have you now. And Shua. And Kyeomie, and Boo, and Chan, and Vernon." She began counting them with her fingers, earning a smile from Mingyu. "And Hannie, and Hoshi, and Jun, and Haohao, and Seungcheol." She paused. "Well, kind of Seungcheol. I don't know if we're there yet." Looking up at Mingyu, she smiled. "But still! That's a lot of friends."
"I'm glad." Mingyu could only say, although his eyes said a whole lot more. I'm glad you have us. I'm glad you see us as your friends. I'm glad you're our friend. My friend. Cyana's grateful smile told him she understood.
The next morning, Cyana woke up in a stranger's bed. She sat up, frowning when she didn't recognize the bedroom she was in. Mingyu's bedroom did not have pretty LED lights coming from the ceiling, and last time she checked, he didn't own a gaming station.
"Get up."
Her eyes widened at the sound of Wonwoo's voice. She turned her head to look at him, leaning on the doorframe of the connected bathroom.
"What?" She mumbled, still deciding whether or not it was all a dream. It had to be, for on what planet would she wake up in Wonwoo's bed?
"I said get up." Wonwoo sighed, pushing himself off the doorframe to grab his coat from the foot of the bed. Sensing her confusion, he bit back a tiny smile. "You and Mingyu both fell asleep on the couch last night. I brought Mingyu back to his bed but found you couldn't fit comfortably next to him so I brought you here." He threw his coat on, grabbing his keys and phone as well. "I slept outside on the couch, don't worry."
Cyana's face flushed. It didn't go past her that this was the most words Wonwoo had ever spoken to her. "Sorry." She moved to get up. A large hand stopped her, grabbing her shoulder.
"Sorry." Wonwoo mumbled, releasing her. "Your ankle."
"Oh." Her face flushed again. "I think it should be fine. Mingyu's pretty good at physical therapy."
Throwing her legs over the side of the bed, Cyana stood up, gingerly placing weight on her bad ankle. Wonwoo stood a couple steps away from her, ready if something were to go wrong.
"It's fine." Cyana gave him a tentative smile. "Thanks. You could've just left me on the couch." She had definitely expected him to.
"Maybe I should've." Wonwoo muttered. "Hip Hop unit's got practice early today. Breakfast's on the table. Don't call. Don't burn the house down. And don't touch my things." He left the room without another word. Cyana heard Mingyu's voice from the distance and could hear the front door shutting behind them.
She blinked, frozen. She didn't know whether to cry or celebrate that Wonwoo had finally acknowledged her presence. His actions and words confused her greatly. It was i put you in my bed and slept outside so you can sleep well and then shout loudly to wake you up followed by a got you breakfast ending with a i don't trust you in my house.
She sighed, shaking her head. Boys.
Although her stomach grumbled, she opted to skip breakfast. Her stylists had complained that she wasn't fitting the skirt they'd made for their stage performances, despite it being not her size at all. She supposed it meant she still had a long way to go before she would look good onstage next to the members.
Looking around the room, she was able to properly see Wonwoo's place for the first time. It was clean, she expected nothing less from him. Everything about him screamed clean.
The computer hummed with life despite it being off and it was surrounded by photographs and equipment. She smiled when she spotted a photograph of what looked to be young seventeen, huddled together in the midst of their trainee years. There was also a few photos of a dog, who she assumed was Wonwoo's back home. There were books as well, overfilling the shelves that lined the far wall. That was something Cyana could relate to, although these titles were all in Korean instead of English. She found that she missed having books to read. It was hard to find anything good in Korea that she could understand.
She could've spent eternity in Wonwoo's room just looking at things, trying to decipher a person she desperately wanted to know. Her phone rang however, startling her.
"Hello?" It was their manager.
"Oh. Manager oppa. What's going on?" Cyana frowned. The manager rarely called them, schedules and changes were usually relayed through text.
"We have a couple company higher-ups who want to see your improvement before the comeback, Soyeon-ssi. I'm sorry to spring it on you now, but they'll be at Pledis soon. Could you come over quickly?"
Her blood rang cold. "Oh, uh- yes. I'm at Mingyu's right now. I'll be there in 10 minutes."
"Great. No need to panic, Soyeon. They just want to know if you're ready."
That was the thing though. Cyana didn't think she was ready. Sure, she'd been practicing with the others, learning techniques she hadn't learnt in LA, but she still wasn't as polished as the others. She couldn't quite grasp the concept of levels and angles, although she tried her hardest knowing it was essential to Seventeen's famed synchronization.
Rushing out of Wonwoo's room, she threw on the first hoodie she found in Mingyu's room before rushing to leave, locking the door behind her. Waving down a taxi, she sent prayers to all the gods she did not believe in that she'd pass whatever test they were giving her. She wanted to debut. She needed to. She wasn't about to let herself be sent back to LA. Not when she had family here.

Ninjago Dragons Rising Season 2 - Is It Good Or Nah?
So, I'm late to the party, aren't I?
Well I've had so much work that I think I'm having an existential crisis. So I had to wait till I had a free day to watch this season because I wanted to watch it with my GF.
We got to Episode 6, and then what did my boss do?
Slap me in the face with long work hours several days of the week.
I feel like I'm in a spiral of work after work after work with no purpose to life besides failure cause I can't trust myself to be capable at anything-
ANYWAY. We finished it now.
You know what the insane part about the season is? That it got the show trending on Tumblr.
That's an INSANE level of hype right there.
So I seriously had to ask myself "What the actual f**k happened in the show that caused THIS much hype?!"
So... here are my thoughts on the season.
SPOILER WARNING
Okay, so this may be a factor of my judgement, but due to my schedule, I was forced to watch only 6 Episodes one day, and then the last 4 Episodes today. Keep that in mind.
When it came to the first half of the season, was it good?
Yes. Obviously.
Was it living up to the insane level of hype?
Uh... not really for me??
Now, don't take that as a negative. This season is still REALLY good.
After the first season took awhile to get started as it needed to set up its characters and this new world, it makes sense for this season to throw the punches immediately.
The season gets started with its main plot right away with Ras immediately putting his plan into action, and by Episode 2, it's very clear the threat level he opposes and it's believable that we should be intimidated by what he wants.
Even though in Episode 2's fight, while AMAZINGLY choreographed, I was just screaming at the screen "HIT THE PERSON HOLDING THE GONG."
Like seriously, more than one of the characters in this fight can use projectiles with their powers AND they have a blaster in the Bounty, and the show never says that Ras has some sort of armor defense preventing him from getting blasted. He's literally standing out in the open. And the gong is clearly what's giving Cinder power. So HIT THE PERSON WITH THE GONG.
GOSH.
Anyway, that's not important. What's important is that this season's fight choreo is genuinely AMAZING. I am obsessed with the way the camera moves with the characters in these fights you have no idea. I was genuinely blown away by the last episode's fight in particular. But more on the ending later.
What also shocked me was how BRUTAL some of the stuff that happens here is, which caught me off guard.
I mean, Episode 2 has Euphrasia getting ambushed and crashed off the Cloud Kingdom with clear injuries, and Wyldfyre getting her leg SHATTERED. Like, WHAT?! HOW OFTEN DOES THAT HAPPEN?!! (Even though the latter's healing was unrealistic. Like, it would realistically take months for an injury like that to heal. Not a critique, just saying.)
Ras body slams Jordanna at one point. He puts Arin in a CHOKEHOLD. And also beats him up so brutally... like OMG this guy does not mess around.
The Fear Cave Trial also REALLY got me tripping. Not only was it such a visually appealing moment, but it also, as the same suggests, showed several character psyches that were insane.
Except Kai for some reason. That's gonna drive me NUTS until I get an answer. WHAT DID HE SEE-?!
Then we get to the dragon mentors, and...
Yeah the season kinda loses me in the middle.
Don't get me wrong, I love the character bits here as much as anyone. But with how dyer they made the threat of Ras before, Ras and his forces take a backseat in the middle portion of the season and we're mostly just sitting at these training grounds talking. And for four episodes of it? It's a little grating, even if it is important.
The middle is mostly where most of my issues with the season stand. And here's where I get all my negatives out of the way:
Like I said, because this season is so long, there's an awkward pause in the conflict on the dragons plotline to learn this Rising Dragon Technique. Which I wouldn't mind if it wasn't FOUR EPISODES of it.
With the exception of the attack at the Land of Lost Things ONCE, Ras's army doesn't go after the ninja at all. I can kinda get the dragons group since they didn't have Bonzle, but he has to know that they ARE a threat, right? They're obviously trying to figure out how to stop you.
And even with the group that has Bonzle, what they NEED, the forces that go after that group is the Administration and the one off magician man villain, the former really didn't need to be in this season even if it was for a compelling Jay cameo, and the latter has overstayed his welcome at this point and I just rolled my eyes when he showed up on screen.
I'm all for Cole being a badass as much as the next guy, but WHY this magician man, who at this point, is so disconnected with the main antagonistic forces that he serves no purpose?
Why not, I don't know, use this screen time instead to explain what in the world happened with Cole when he left?
Seriously, the first season had this huge cliffhanger with Cole's character and him going after Wu's ghost. I wonder what's gonna happen to him and what he's gonna find out-
Oh. He's just back.
That to me is a huge disappointment. What was the point of him leaving the Lost Family in the first place if this journey was basically nothing? He doesn't even talk about it! COME ON NOW.
Also I think Zane should get slay pass on the Administration guy that called him equipment. What do y'all think?
I don't like Egot. Or whatever his name was. He's very condescending and cryptic and talks down to his only hope of the world being saved. But I think I'm supposed to dislike him for it, and there's gonna be more of his characterization revealed later, so don't take this one as a critique. The female one is great though.
The sorceress lady was... a choice in the narrative. My one critique for the ending was the potion shenanigans. Not because they were bad, but because they just felt so out of place among everything else. Like, "Oh, this finale is too dark and intense! We need to occasionally cut to wacky shenanigans with this sorceress's magic to prevent kids from feeling too much dread!"
I don't know, for me, I would've placed this stuff with the Administration instead, and instead have the group fight Jordanna, lose, and have her get away and flow that to Arin getting to her. Especially since the Administration posed such little threat to them and they even say such.
(I also have a theory that this sorceress is Wyldfyre's birth mom. I have no evidence to back this up besides "They both have red hair and similar facial structure")
With Cloud Kingdom getting taken over and Euphrasia captured, I thought she would have more of a role to play in this since this is, you know, her HOME and she's their guardian.
But nope. She does next to nothing up until the very end and plays prisoner and waits for the ninja to save her.
For gosh sake girl, you're the master of wind. FLY.
And finally, my last critique, Cinder.
Yeah I'm sorry, I'm not buying this character so far. Not that I don't think he'll have anything to do in the second part, but for how threatening he was in Episode 2, that threat level kinda vanishes in the middle and only comes back at the end. He does next to nothing and we learn nothing about him other than "He likes power". Jordanna is probably more unlikeable, but at least she has conflict going on with Ras and her magic, and she still serves more of a role in the plan besides being a foot soldier.
And... yep. That's all my critiques for this season. Which all seem pretty minor.
You know what this season is real good at? Characters.
As though that wasn't obvious already.
I did NOT expect Bonzle to play any major role at all, I thought she was just gonna be the dry and cynical side character. But no. She has a history. She has a life. She has emotions. All of which REALLY shine through at the end when you hear her voice have more range in it. The VA killed it. I ended up feeling so bad for her.
Especially considering what happens to her.
They're also not even hiding it anymore with Geo x Cole. They're just NOT. I love them and I hope we see more of their relationship in the future.
I genuinely don't understand the critique of "Geo is so selfish referring to him as Cole's family when it's obvious Cole has other people in his life."
Well no shit, you ever heard of a character flaw?
But it's also a completely understandable flaw. You guys aren't forgetting the part where Geo was abandoned for being a mixed race, right? Of course he's gonna cling to someone as compassionate and encouraging as Cole.
The Jay cameo was nice. I expect him to play no role in this season, but it's really compelling what they showed and I was satisfied with it.
Lloyd's conflict was handled very well in my opinion.
What's it called when it's PTSD, but it's about future events rather than past events? Foresight Traumatic Stress Disorder? FTSD? Yeah let's go with that.
For a kids show that glosses over trauma, (That's not a Ninjago problem, that's a kids show problem), it was really refreshing for them to not do that for once. It's actually explored and talked about and Lloyd is given advice on how to cope with it, and he freezes up in panic attacks when these visions happen and-THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR NOT IGNORING HOW HARD SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS.
Seriously, as someone who is going through stuff like this, minus the magic element, it spoke to me a lot. It really shows that this show grew up with me, and I both love and hate that.
I do think this sort of arc is going to hit hard for adults much more than kids.
Are kids constantly terrified of the future and getting paralyzed with these fears and finding it difficult to cope with the traumas that is time and human life?
No?
Kai is also a standout in this, especially towards the end. This is by far the best Kai has been in a long time in terms of quality. I love how one of his most significant flaws gets addressed here, that being his overreliance on himself and his own abilities over the others, who he feels responsible to protect.
And the way he grasps with that and learns to let loose like he did as a child back in the old days through what he loves the most, that being his family. And the flashbacks with him and his sister. And the whole sequence of him learning Rising Dragon - AUGH ITS SO GOOD.
How poetic is it that the character most devoted to family since childhood is only cocky and angry because of his own desire to be the one with power to keep them safe, gets power by letting that go, being a kid again, and joining the same roots as his own family?
AND THEN HE GIVES UP HIS LIFE FOR THEM-
And finally, Arin.
Oh you poor sweet, sweet child.
First of all, yes, I am completely subscribed to the theory that the show is building up Arin turning on the ninja and becoming a villain. It's all there. It all fits. The amount of times they say how sweet he is as though that's gonna get lost. The dragons, the creators of the world, the gods basically, telling him he's not good enough. Ras confronting him. Sora's stunt even after she's been the most encouraging of him, like the BETRAYAL there. It's all there. And I will be posting my theory scenario on this don't you worry.
BUT, I don't think that's the route they're gonna go. Kids show and all of that. They wouldn't do that to one of their main characters. Unless you're Star Wars. At most I think Arin will be tempted by Ras's master's power in an episode and even do it, but then with the power of love and friendship, it'll get fixed.
So instead I'd rather say that Arin, by far, has the BEST power crisis arc of the entire show so far.
I LOVE that he doesn't get powers. That's something the original show would've done. I LOVE that he doesn't figure anything out in the end and his inner doubts get proven correct. That's something the original show would not have the guts to do.
I liked Arin in the first season, but he didn't interest me too much. Mostly because Sora had the lion share of focus in the first season. Here though? He might just take the crown for THE most relatable character. And I both love and hate it so much.
Like, seeing everyone else succeed in mastery while you can't even figure out your own thing. You get told you have a natural talent and a lot of potential and that you're good at a lot of things, only for that to be put to the test in the real world and you end up letting everyone down. Even when your loved ones encourage you that you are good enough and you're special in your own way, you can't get those voices out of your head and you mess up again and again and again to try and meet the world's expectations. Then those in charge tell you you're not good enough and wasted potential. Then you try everything out in the real world anyway and you FAIL, and those that doubt you and your own insecurities get proven correct as you're left a broken mess of a young child who doesn't know what the hell they're doing-
I'M IN THIS SHOW AND I DON'T LIKE IT.
I probably love Sora more as a character, but I will admit I grasp towards Arin more right now. Sora's a great trans allegory in a world that hates trans people. But I'm not trans so I relate to it a bit less. Arin's a great autistic allegory in a world that doesn't know how to help autistic people. And I am autistic so I relate to it more. That's just a me situation.
I am so invested in where Arin's story goes from here. Evil or not.
So yeah, the season was good, but didn't completely live up to the insane hype, which, to be fair, is a high bar.
UNTIL THE LAST FOUR EPISODES.
And then all of a sudden, I AM SHOCKED AND SHAKEN TO MY CORE.
These last four episodes are an absolute emotional roller coaster that left me shaking and screaming the whole time.
I actually SCREAMED at multiple occasions.
I actually screamed so many times watching this that I am now HOARSE.
THAT'S how hard it hit me.
The story goes from 0 to 100 the moment the Blood Moon shows up. Which was what the whole season was building up to. And it did NOT disappoint.
The race to try and protect Bonzle. The intense visions and paralysis Lloyd suffers from. Ras and the army coming back to the plot to be absolute powerhouses. The last episode of DREAD the entire time to desperately try to stop this ritual.
HUMAN SACRIFICES?! AM I WATCHING A KIDS SHOW RIGHT NOW?!?!
I was begging for Arin to succeed at getting Bonzle to safety, even though I knew he stood no chance against Ras. "Come on Arin! You got this!! YOU GOT THIS, SWEETIE!!"
And then Ras just goes to TOWN on the poor boy and taunts his utter failure, which HURTS SO BAD MAN.
The entire fight with the army, Cinder, and Ras. The destruction of the mechs which knocks them unconscious for a bit. Kai figuring out Rising Dragon again when his family gets put in danger. The way Nya avenges her brother afterwards.
When Bonzle was getting morphed back into spell form, BEGGING, I was begging too.
But they still do it!
And KAI?!?!
I couldn't even process what happened other than me screaming. From the moment Ras alluded to sacrificing Kai against his consent, I was screaming "NO. DON'T DO IT."
AND THEN THEY SACRIFICE HIM.
LIKE HOLY GOSH THIS FINALE DID NOT MESS AROUND.
I predicted a while back, in the first season actually, that Kai was gonna get sacrificed at some point. Who's laughing now? I DID NOT WANT TO BE RIGHT.
Like, usually in Ninjago the character would be willing to sacrifice themselves for the others. But here? This is without Kai's consent at all. Ras might as well have killed him right here.
It definitely felt that way with the way the others react and BEG for his safety. The way Nya avenges him.
And Kai giving up his shot at escape for the sake of his family? BRO. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
It hurts even more when you realize that when the Merge happened, Lloyd was ALONE thinking only he survived. He only gained hope again because of his reunion with Kai. His beloved surrogate brother!
AND NOW HE'S GONE.
NYA AND LLOYD LOST THEIR BROTHER.
WYLDFYRE LOST HER SURROGATE FATHER.
THEY THINK HE'S BASICALLY DEAD.
BRO. THAT'S SOUL CRUSHING.
And then Sora?! Why you gotta betray Arin like that?!
The most encouraging friend towards Arin, the person who held onto hope and praises for him the most, betrays that hope and doesn't trust him enough to get the winning blow himself. Then LIES about it.
GIRL. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
That's going to be SO compelling once that gets outed. Like, morally, that was messed up and she was definitely in the wrong, BUT it led to the best possible outcome for them at the moment. They WON because she did NOT believe in Arin's abilities. Which only proves that the doubts about Arin's said abilities are correct.
And I have a gut feeling she's gonna learn Spinjitsu on top of that. And once that happens... double ouch.
Again, Evil Arin Theory.
I really hate to say it, but this reminds way too much of Arcane. If you know what I'm talking about.
I am totally imagining a situation similar to that in my head, that being a rescue mission for Kai, they decide to leave Arin out of it because of the lack of faith in him, he tags along anyway and he ruins their plan and Kai stays trapped there, Lloyd and Sora lash out on him for it, and before they can apologize they get thrusted back by something and Ras and Ras's master find Arin and take him in-
Again, I'll make a post about that.
The finale was by far the best part of this season. It has been a long time since Ninjago has made me HOARSE from being too invested.
That has not happened to me since Sons of Garmadon.
Because, yeah, I actually have NO IDEA where any of this is headed. How are they gonna save Kai and Bonzle? Why did some of Lloyd's visions not come true? What in the world is going on with Ras? Will the Administration help with that? Will the source dragons help with that?
What I probably do know is that Part 2 of this season is going to turn this into the best Ninjago Product since Tournament of Elements. Maybe even top it depending on my rewatches if my problems are still problems.
So... yeah. Good or Nah? Good. Obviously.
The hype is a little overblown to me, but it still deserves the hype.

Ficlet- Sick Day
Partner gave me some kind of chest infection so in bed still 😭 so have a small fic that I can write on my phone.
Timeline: Stolas and Blitz are dating, they've said they care about one another and stopped *most* of the bs. Post season 2. Stolas has his own new apartment from his IMP check that Blitz stays over most nights.
Stolas yawns, stretching and preening in the red sunlight that strewns in from the pride pentagram sun. He grabs his phone and widens his eyes, shaking Blitz.
"Darling we're going to be late! It's half past nine", he hurriedly gets up and starts pulling on pants, jumping up and down and Blitz waves, groaning.
"I cancelled today", he pulls the blanket over his horns as much as he can, curling up under the blanket. Stolas blinks, "cancelled?"
"Yeah so do whatever", he tells him. Stolas walks back over and puts a hand on Blitz's back, "Are you feeling alright darling?"
Blitz whimpers, one that you'd probably hear from a cat. As his tail wraps around Stolas's wrist.
"Is-thet a yes?" Stolas asks, and Blitz murmers, "Mmmno".
"No you aren't feeling alright?" He asks again,
"Yes", Blitz groans now, pulling his tail away and back closer to him, wrapping around himself and the blanket.
Stolas fidget with his hands, "Would you Uhm, what would help?" Blitz shrugs.
"Well, what are your symptoms?" He asks and Blitz turns around, his face clearly flushed, nasal drip refusing to lessen down his face and he coughs into his elbow.
Stolas nods, "I see". Blitz whines again and Stolas rubs his forehead, "What do you need, love?"
Blitz pauses and squeezes his horse stuffy closer to his face and whines into it, "I dunno, water?" He looks up at Stolas and his boyfriend has a smile on his face, "Of course darling, easy". He floats over a glass of water and Blitz struggles to sit up, but Stolas puts his hand on his back and helps him sit up then uses magic to tip the glass for him.
When he's done Blitz pushes the levitating glass away, "You don't have to dote on me ya know. I've been sick by myself since I was 18", he mentions and shivers, holding his arms.
Stolas chuckles, "So have I. And I remember that the rare times I am sick, it's miserable darling. So relax. Let me take care of you?"
Blitz just groans in reply as he blushes and Stolas moves his horse blanket over his shoulders, and Blitz's head instinctively leans against Stolas's shoulder. He smiles, levitating the remote over.
"Would you like to watch a movie?" he asks, grazing his fingers over Blitz's forehead.
"Hmm?" he replies drowsily, his eyes fluttering. Stolas just smiles down at him and turns on one of his spirit movies that are already in the player, and Blitz curls up against his lap, starting to purr under the blanket but interjecting every once in a while to cough.
"Would you like some medicine, dear?" Stolas asks, lifting the blanket. Blitz whines and pulls the blanket back over him, "MMno". Stolas chuckles and pets his horns, "Perhaps after a nap then".
"Mmyeah", he replies and within fifteen minutes he's fast asleep. Stolas levitates over a novel and sets the bottom of it on his horns to prop it up, and reads as his boyfriend sleeps his sickness away.

LIABILITY
by me (flyingdutchman on AO3)
When Arin accompanies Lloyd on a solo mission, and things go wrong; Arin blames himself for it. POST SEASON ONE.
TW: descriptions of injury, but non graphic. violence. please be warned.
"Now, I'm going to need you to follow me." Lloyd says, warning in his voice, as he fidgets with the scarf-half mask around his neck.
The boy next to him, clad in a bright sunshine yellow robe nods quickly. Own fingers wrapped tightly around his belt and his weapon. The boy looks around warily. There had been a group in his former home of the crosswords, and they'd since been warned about the threat. But when he and Lloyd, his teacher, arrived, they had been unable to find any sign, at least at the very moment. Lloyd had responded to an anonymous distress call, and earlier today, Arin had found his mentor convincing both Kai and Nya to let him do a solo training mission.
But maybe this trust was displaced, Arin thinks.
"Arin?"
The boy is brought quickly back to the present by Lloyd, vibrant green eyes searching him.
There's a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" Lloyd breathes out. Arin nods quickly.
He and Lloyd turn the corner, spotting several townsfolk in the wake, walking slowly and carefully. "Here's the plan-- we're going to get over there-- alley to the right, used to be a noodle shop my friend used to own."
Arin can hear the distaste in the usage of 'used to.", but Arin does not waver in his fear. He is scared. I mean, trying to become a ninja is much different than watching something from the sidelines. He'd never felt fear on this stage before, because he soon realized after the adventure of the dragon cores, that being a ninja was comitting to a life full of danger, that there was always a risk.
He'd admired Lloyd very much. The bravery, especially in his decision to harness power that could destroy him.
Arin didn't think he was as powerful to be able to do that -- I mean yes, he didn't have power and that was another thing that would probably up his chances of getting hurt but -- the distress call.
This was the Estrangers. A small group smuggling ancient artifacts. For Arin and Sora, they had been very knowledgable about the types of groups that wandered the crossroads. But this group had managed to source at least some vengestone after the Crystal King's fall.
Arin shakes his head, back to the present. "I'm not sure, --m, Lloyd. I've heard of the Estrangers, we sure we shouldn't call, Nya, Sora--Zane for backup?"
Lloyd turns to Arin after they find a spot behind the alley. Behind a trash bin. "I wouldn't of brought you on if this was something you couldn't handle."
A renewed sense of pride fills Arin as he sees Lloyd's trust in him, but he can't help but feel as though it's misplaced. When they'd all grouped to find the Dragon Cores it had felt as though he was the last choice, given his lack of elemental powers, and object Spinjitzu, and maybe that's why Lloyd had grouped up with him, given the green ninja powers were far different than anyone elses on the team, maybe more--powerful?
Well, Arin knew of Lloyd's past.
But recently, everyone was progressing. Wyldfire was far more controlled with Kai's teaching. Sora had grown stronger in her elemental power, and Arin couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy rush over him. But beyond this, in a distress call, Lloyd had chosen him, the legendary green ninja had asked him.
He had to have believed in him.
"They've sourced some Vengestone--" Arin says.
"It won't affect us, Arin." He says a peering eye. "It won't affect us. You don't need to have powers to be a great ninja--" Lloyd's attention is briefly halted, gesturing Arin to duck even more behind him.
Beyond the valley, they can see two men. One with a balaclava over his eyes, the other with a glowing object, shoved hastily but peeking through a bag. Judging from the yells and frantic speech they seemed mad, or at least distressed. Bright yellow daggers line their belts.
"They say it's from a perso-ordana--we can't."
The burlier man steps. "Those pesky ninja-- stopped us-- we can do it"
Their voices were cut off, Arin and Lloyd only being able to hear a few of their words.
Lloyd returns his gaze to Arin, who looks very much scared. Worry lining his features, his forehead leading his coiled bangs to stick there with sweat. The teacher brings his wrist to his ear, a whisper.
"Can we get a reading on the Estrangers?"
The com link on Arin's wrist lights up, as Lloyd instructs him how to use it.
"Copy." says Zane's voice on the line. "Estrangers, Location: Crossroads. Disrupted and destroyed multiple businesses to find Dragon items, items from Ninjago's history, scrolls, old Imperium software. Over seven victims."
Arin's worry grows, mouthing. "Are they...okay?"
"Can I get a toll"
"Seven fatalities, Lloyd."
Something in Arin breaks at the number. For he knows that being a ninja is a hard job, he knows it from the scars newly from the recent fights, from even training. To seeing Lloyd lost in his own thoughts, alone, in the library late at night.
"Keeping you on the line." Lloyd answers.
A pause. 'Always."
Lloyd reaches behind his back, clicking off the comm link radio as he does. He returns his gaze back to Arin, who is fearful.
"You're going to be fine, Arin. I've got you, we've got Zane; we can call a mech for backup, We have a plan."
Lloyd points to one of the men. "That man has a vial, most likely belonging to Lord Ras. We need to destroy it, and detain or question the Estrangers. You've learned return flight on objects, You can definitely knock it off, and I'll just proceed and destroy it."
Arin nods. "The Estrangers threatened Mr. Frohicky once, and the next morning his assistant went missing."
Lloyd watches as Arin looks at him, an anger hidden in the boy's expression but one that's there.
He puts a hand on Arin's shoulder, “Then we make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else."
A reassuring smile spreads on Lloyd's face. Arin nods.
"Let me lead, and you'll follow." Lloyd steps forward instructing Arin to put on his mask. Lloyd does the same. "We're good?"
A nod from the boy who's mask has dragon horns sewn into them.
And Lloyd is off, whisping past the trash bin as he follows to an edge. He instructs for Arin to follow, until they reach an alley end, two men fully in view, but a young woman now visible, crouched low, with her hands up.
"Where did you get this, girl?"
The girl shivers, as a sharp Imperium dagger is pointed.
"I-- I found it at the library-- the one at Domu -- My mom likes it the --"
One of the men laugh. "Speak clearer, or you meet your end--"
"Hey, hey, it's only a scroll." says a young man's voice. "Get away.." Lloyd points his katana. "from her."
The burly man scoffs, pointing the dagger over to him. "One of those cocky little ninja, wants.. to play a game?"
"If it were a game, it'd be fun." Lloyd says tilting his head.
His signal meets Arin, behind him, and Lloyd throws green; a burst of green as the man ducks, and lets go of the young woman beside him. Arin zips in fast, Lloyd leads the men off for a second.
"No game, when some person who thinks they're better than us wants to mess with Ras."
A large crack is heard as Arin takes hold of the girl, instructing her to hold onto his grappling hook. And the two zoom out of sight, probably over a building or two.
Lloyd grins. "I don't want to mess with Ras. I need to know what you are doing."
The other, shorter, balaclava wearing man brings up his own sword, pointing it at Lloyd's chest.
"Isn't he the connector.. to the source dragons, she says don't kill him." The burlier man steps forward. "But get his sword."
The other man jumps as Lloyd backs up twisting his sword, showing off like a swordsman. "You know I'm still here, right?" Lloyd says.
The man shoves his hand into his knapsack, and clicks something, lunging toward Lloyd, as the clash against his sword throws him off. He is thrown into a wall, as his back lights up in sparky, hot pain. Something is wrong, he can't quite pin it down, or pin what it is but something is wrong. Before trying to get up, he looks down at his hand, trying to light a signal, to reunite Arin with him, but it refuses to call.
He grips his sword, breathing hard, perhaps his only strength-- but the big man comes up again, pinning his other arm to the brick wall behind him.
"Such a loser, Green Ninja. And to think you're teaching that poor kid."
He attempts to call his comm, but it is smashed, erupting in a large spark. The blonde eyes the box behind the two men, glowing. He stares into the mans eyes, as he is unmasked hastily and it is thrown to the floor. Lloyd's face masked with sweat, his blonde hair sticking over his eyes, eyes darkened and emboldened.
"Would rather lose.. than be like dear old dad."
Lloyd looks up.
"You're from Imperium."
Lloyd is shoved hard, as they attempt to take his weapon. He gasps, holding his side, and the men step back a bit. It's almost mockingly, they have little to no fear in their eyes at all.
"Are we, hmm." The mask wearing man says. "You don't know us like you Ninja says you do. You don't know any of us. But Ras does, they're doing great things Lloyd Garmadon they're doing great things and idiots like you can't see it."
"Your sword is a great dragon product-- I mean Ras says you are one too” -- Lloyd winces, being referred to as an object. "But Jade interior, forged gold melted near the Golden Peaks, ibscirbes by one of the sons, what's his name -- Wu? is it. Thank the gods he's dead." He looks to the masked man beside him. "She needs good things to power her invention, doesn't she, Ko?”
"Yes she does."
"Don't hurt him!" Arin cries, distracting the men; as he throws the vial.
Lloyd rolls on the floor, throwing his sword previously locked on the floor. It collides with the vial, in a boom, of cloud and smoke. The men stumble back coughing, but Lloyd feels an arm lock around his neck. He attempts to breathe, but his effort is wasted as he struggles. His head is cloudy, as the tempting call to sleep fills him, his own effort waning.
Arin's own anger hit's a peek, as he takes a piece of the broken glass, holds a backup weapon from his belt. He throws the glass, spinjitzu, spinning with a golden swirl, colliding with the man holding Lloyd's neck. It hits the man's ankle, as he screams in pain, letting go of Lloyd, who coughs sharply as he hits the floor. His strength is still there as Lloyd gets into spinjitzu and rams the man into a wall.
"Oh you kid, you've got what's coming to you." The burlier of the two steps forward, as he swipes a dagger from his belt, Arin being cornered with no escape. Arin crawls, grabbing for his gun, anything to shield him, as the other.
The man raises the dagger, and suddenly there's a flash of green, elbow and hand holding the dagger away with extreme effort, away from Arin, a crouched kid, helpless behind him. Fear paralyzing him as he watches Lloyd.
"No you don't." Lloyd grunts, the green tinged with anger in his eyes. He's using all his strength to shield the dagger from Arin, eyes glazen with fear.
'Yes..' The man smiles, as he kicks at Lloyd's leg, which breaks him out of his focus, only to be caught on-- "I do.."
There's a ragged gasp, a cry of pain in front of Arin, as his teacher in front of him stumbles.
He doesn't see what's happening, but from where Lloyd was, and what he's hearing it's as though he knows it. Arin can hear Lloyd gasp for breath, struggling against the dagger, but the man smiles, as he maneuvers it. And whatever he did, Lloyd cries out, short, the hot, defining burn agonizing.
He has to be strong for Arin, he just has to--
And as soon as it's twisted, the fiery, hot pain, the weapon is yanked hastily, and Lloyd collapses to the floor, trying to stand up from his own two hands, as he moves one instincly going to the red, blossoming on his gi.
"Some ninja, huh?"
The man chuckles, kicking him in the wound, making the blonde keel onto the floor, hitting his head hard. Lloyd breathes raggedly again, his body shaking.
The burly man moves over to the one on the wall, hoisting the man over his shoulder, laughing at Lloyd, laughing at the child in the corner watching in horror. Watching in fear and trepidation, watching not because he wants to but the only person who's ever believed in him.
Is dying.
Oh god, Lloyd is dying.
The man laughs, taking the golden katana from the floor, stuffing it into the knapsack with all the items and the scrolls and -- They laugh louder and louder, it's never-ending. - and as soon as they laugh, it's gone, they're gone... And..
Arin crawls over to Lloyd.
He's shaking, blond hair over his eyes, only elbows holding him up.
The comm on Arin's own wrist crackles. 'Lloyd?" says the vaguely robotic voice. Arin looks to his wrist. "Zane--Zane”
Lloyd tries to turn at the sound, to respond, but he stumbles back on the ground.
"Calling-- suit breach, upper right quadrant." Zane says solemnly, but there's a quickness."Is this correct.. Arin?"
Lloyd looks over the Arin, as Arin comes and turns Lloyd over onto his back.
"Positive." Lloyd is able to grab Arin's wrist and respond. "We got--" Lloyd erupts into coughs.
Arin holds down the comm.
"Please refrain him from speaking, Arin." Arin looks over to Lloyd who nods, his head, pain swirling in his eyes.
"I'm fine." Lloyd says. "I usually can--", he starts coughing again, and Arin, feels frozen in time, trying to not believe what's going on in front of him. Because it's all so trivial, it's all so weird, and all of a sudden.
There is a pause. "We are on our way, but they have set up back up, and you might have to escort to a survival base, to a hospital."
There's a tinge of anger in Lloyd's voice. "I am not going to a hospital."
Maybe what feels so out of place is how young Lloyd sounds. For he knows Lloyd is young, at least far younger than some of his teammates, but all of the guard up, the solemness is gone, it's almost as if Lloyd doesn't remember what happened earlier, but he knows he has.
But he feels far more like a child, than his teacher, someone who's been acting sensei.
"Arin, he's suffering blood loss." Zane says, and Lloyd frowns, bringing his hand to the wound. "You need to stabilize, him, and move him, the quickest hospital is less than a mile, it's private but it's emergency, if not we risk---"
He leaves it off at silence. "It's not letting me-" Lloyd coughs. "I can't stabilize myself."
"Lloyd, it was a vengestone blade." Arin says.
The silence is cut off by Zane, responding with even more concern. "Vengestone?" Arin nods, as though Zane can see him. "Arin you need to get him to the nearest hospital, this is worse than I feared... They knew you were coming. It was a trap."
"Of course it was." Lloyd breathes, a scoff, only interrupted at he winces sharply pressing his own hand to the wound.
"Ras knows about Lloyd." Arin says, while Lloyd shakes his head. "He knows about his powers."
Zane responds. "We have your scan up right now, but the vengestone.. vengestone hasn't been used as a weapon before, other than shock bullets, but as a dagger, it's as though an infection. Elemental masters have some sort of healing process by the dragon power given to them, but vengestone stops that, which is why Lloyd is not stabilizing, and we have little supplies to address that injury. We cannot stabilize you in the time you have left Lloyd."
Lloyd curses under his shaky breath.
Arin pauses, taking the mask he finds from the floor, and pressing it over the wound, as it darkens instantly. He winces at the sight, noticing red on Lloyd's lips. Lloyd looks pale, he looks lifeless, although he is very sure he is alive, if not by the loud breathing beside him or the fight he can very well see.
There's no way to get Lloyd to a hospital unless he carries him there. And it's the only thing he will be able to do, at this point.
Lloyd grabs Arin's wrist, clicking the comm on an all-point setting, so they don't need to manually do it. It seems as though he's starting to accept his fate of being-- somewhat rescued if that's what's hurting him so much at this moment.
Arin has never seen Lloyd as a prideful person, though.
The boy moves to his teacher, placing one arm behind his back, the other under his knees. Arin lifts him with a bit of struggle. Lloyd is not exactly the shortest on the team, and it's not like he isn't heavy at all Lloyd is an adult, Arin is a teenager. But he's practiced weight training with Kai, and it's hard to carry a person, but he has to get to the hospital. He can't let his teacher die on him.
Lloyd doesn't tell him his own past, but Arin is familiar with a lot, with living in Ninjago City during Emperor Garmadon's reign, when Lloyd was only Arin's age, perhaps.
They walk, and walk, and Lloyd is not himself, that's for certain. There's a lot of pained muttering under him as he carries, a man far larger than him, and one that's bleeding out--
"He's crashing." says a voice, minutes into Arin carrying his own master down the dark streets. "Arin?"
Arin doesn't notice it, but tears are rushing down his face.
"Buddy, he can do it, he'll be able to be okay." Kai says. "Zane says we have a 10 minute ETA, you are at 2 minutes of St. Geraldine's Hospital." There is static on the other line for a moment, as he's rushing through the street. At this point he's not even sure Lloyd is alive or not. He has to be, they have sensors on the old suits that were redesigned.
"Crashing?" Arin says, Lloyd stirring in pain, Arin can now see he's unconscious.
There's a murmur on the other line. "Do your Spinjitzu, Arin. We have a minute until -- arrest, that's the fastest way."
Arin wails, defensively. "I can't do Spinjitzu, holding a person."
"You can, it's the only way you can save him." Kai says solemnly. "Do your Spinjitzu, Arin."
Arin curses under his breath, strikingly similar to the way his master does.
He looks down at the pale figure, struggling to hold, takes a deep breath as they dissolve into a yellow blur.
It's been hours.
He had been able to carry Lloyd into the hospital, collapsing with him as hospital worker, and at least four doctors whirred off as they carried him on a stretcher, his own gi, covered with red as though he'd been the one murdered. He stood in the middle of the waiting room, tears running down his face, until five minutes later when Kai and Zane had approached him and enveloped him into a hug.
It's been hours.
Nya had brought him a fresh change of clothes, including his golden hand stitched hoodie. He had walked into the bathroom and cried, until Kai ended up coming over and helping him replace the tainted fabric.
"He's going to be okay, Arin." Kai says, sitting on the bench in the waiting room, alongside Arin. Now dressed, clean of any remnants of battle. The floor, once dripping with--- covered with two slipping signs and cleaned over, smelling of bleach.
Arin looks away.
"If it wasn't for you, he would of--" Kai stops his sentence. "He knew what he was doing when he asked you along."
Arin winces at the statement. Knowing, his own master had gotten stabbed for what, for protecting him, it was almost like he couldn't protect himself, like he couldn't do anything, like he was worthless. If he wasn't so weak, he wouldn't need protecting.
He wouldn't of nearly killed the Green Ninja.
Perhaps if he brought anyone else Lloyd would be back at the Monastery by now, with a serene smile locking those items away so the Estrangers couldn't find them. Instead, and because of him, and only because of him, the green ninja had gone through surgery, because he'd nearly been stabbed to death.
"He pities me." Arin says, abruptly, before he is able to stop it.
"I'm.. I'm not a -- ninja, I'm just Arin, there's no way to get rid of me, because I have no place to go back to. I'm a charity case."
"He doesn't pity you." Kai says.
"I don't have powers, I'm clumsy, I trip over my own feet. I-- if you only had Sora, out of us two, you'd be better off. Lloyd chose me for the mission because everyone has been getting so much better, and -- I'm just me, I can do Spinjitzu, but even Lloyd makes fun of it.. "
"Before you go there, he does not make fun of it." Kai is firm now. "He was so amazed that you were able to transfer the energy to objects. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't of found any of these dragons, Sora, Wyldfire-- it was because one day, he was on patrol, he saw Spinjitzu. He thought it was one of us, because you can't teach yourself it, it's a thing of learning, we spent so much time."
Arin looks at him. "He wants me to feel better for being awful. He says he struggled with Spinjitzu, but I know that's a lie."
"Arin." Kai says calmly. "You gave him hope."
"And almost killed him." Arin says under his breath.
Arin stands up, but is interrupted when he feels Kai's hands on his shoulder.
"You did not do anything. The Estrangers made a choice. They made that choice, they've made that choice before. You didn't almost kill Lloyd. You're not the first one to feel that way either, believe me. But blaming yourself for what happens during battle, during attacks, is worthless. It doesn't get you anywhere. It certainly didn't get me anywhere, and I've done far more things and blamed myself for far more things that have happened to Lloyd than you."
Arin looks up.
"They were going to kill me."
Kai nods. "And he needed to protect you, that's what keeps that kid going, that's what gets him through the day, he'd never put it against you, and you know he wouldn't. Because he values you as a student, and as a friend, and -- that's the type of person Lloyd is."
"He won't remember it." They hear a familiar robotic voice, as Zane walks from the hallway. "At least from what happened, when Arin carried him here. It's remarkable how the human brain works." Zane looks to Kai. "Now I don't suggest mentioning what happened unless he talks about it himself, which is not what I expect as he heals.”
The fire ninja nods;
"The surgery was efficient, and he is stable. His healing processes are back to normal." Zane turns to look at Arin, who feels very small. "You were very resilient during this mission, I can see why Lloyd chose you in such a dangerous one, no matter how reckless that could be."
"Zane." Kai says warningly.
"I do not mean his choice in student." Zane says. "The choice to answer that call with two ninja in general, no matter if it was one of us or not, could be explained as reckless."
Kai nods, biting his lip. As he looks to Arin, who certainly seems very haunted by the situation. Kai re-assists his hand on his shoulder, but before he does, Arin collapses into a hug, holding onto him tightly, and he can't help but see the similarity between Arin and his mentor, how similar Arin is to Lloyd in some ways, their differences. but Arin doesn't let go.
"If you ever need to talk about this." Kai breathes. "Let us know, let me know."
Arin looks up:
"I will."

Okay you guys are not going to believe this or maybe you will believe this maybe I'm just slow and this is common knowledge in the fanbase. However, I was doing my yearly mbav marathon and last night I watched The Brewed; I've always been curious on the timeline of each episode and when they take place during the year I'm a stickler for it because of my fanfiction series I always thought the gang face off against supernatural forces pretty much every week I mean the show is a monster of the week format so in my eyes it makes sense.
However, I do like to think there are slow weeks or months where nothing happens but for the most part, I like to think the gang deal with supernatural problems pretty often. And I was under the impression that season one went from late September to early November or December and season two is pretty much the same timeline unless they went back to school early since it was still warm enough to have pool parties who knows I don't love in Canada.
What I'm trying to get at here is in the Brewed Hick's said he got Latta Latte to Celebrate 100 days until Summer Vacation I've always been intrigued with that line I tried to search for an estimate of the date before a few years ago but found nothing until today.
100 days until summer vacation puts the episode in around February which is kind of insane to me but makes sense, since in the same episode Rory takes his zombie mask from the teacher's lounge and said Hick's took it from him back in September notice how he says September not last month or two months ago. (Yeah, I know that's a stretch but it's still interesting to me, let me cook.) Still the point is from the way Rory spoke it seems like he got that taken away a good while ago which was always odd to me if the episode took place during the last half of the year. But wait there's more, I found out when the gang's midterms most likely took place for episode 13.
According to Goggle, again this could be for the US only but I'm rolling with it. Midterms normally take place mid-October to mid-March (Yes, I know this should be common knowledge to many, but I've been homeschooled my entire life don't @ me.) It couldn't have been in October since the gang just stopped Jesse about a month ago and the school year would've just begun for them for the most part. Plus, in Three Geeks and a Demon which takes place a good few days before the season finale. Benny says they owned an evil tree last month referring to episode 8 Die Pod. So that puts episodes 8, 9, and maybe 10 around January to February I already established episode 11 takes place in February as well; but episodes 12 and 13 takes place in March or around that time. In other words, their adventures are a lot more spread out then I originally thought and more importantly how much supernatural insanity took place behind the scenes.
I don't know if this is entirely accurate since it's a tv show and potholes pop up all over the place if there are any inconsistencies that you can debunk let me know I'll revolute everything.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
TLDR: While doing research for future mbav fanfic entries I discovered that episode 11 takes place somewhere in February and freaked out because I thought the first season's timeline was September to around November to December. I could be super wrong though.

✨ weekly tag wednesday ✨
Thank you for tagging me @deedala and @mmmichyyy! <3
name: loftec
age: 38 today!
your time zone: CET
what do you do for work? I work with graphic design and promotion in music
do you have any pets? Yes! The best boy.
what first drew you to this fandom? Because I'd watched the end of season five and read all the fic and needed to surround myself with people who were as heartbroken and angry as I was lol, and they were here!
are you a morning person or a night owl? I have an easier time keeping awake than waking up, so I've always just been a night owl, but the last few years I've been working on getting up early because it makes my whole life better tbh, less fun sometimes! But more fun in the long run.
what are your hobbies? oh boy, writing, crying, crafting - so many projects you guys.
how tall are you? 183 cm
if you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Just to the left of this there's a sharp gorge into the cliffside where, on a train heading for England, I saw three houses tucked in like something plucked out of my dreams. More realistically I want to live where I live now but closer to the ocean (actually probably less realistic it's so expensive).
favorite color? Vermilion
favorite book? Good Omens
favorite movie? The Matrix, Pride, Släpp fångarna loss det är vår, The Little Mermaid, Spirited Away, I really want to go on but will stop now.
favorite fic? So many and this is now the third time I’m editing this draft from Wednesday, trying to be quick about it because I’m on a train and I feel very ill if I look too much at a screen, but lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the other side of here by mayyouwalk
favorite musical artist: Frazey Ford, Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, Kaizers Orchestra, Nick Cave, I really want to go on but will stop now.
what is your average screen time so far this week? 1 h 48 min
what's the first app you open in the morning? The music app, I have my morning soundtrack/schedule playlists there.
how long have you been on tumblr? I've had this account for 12 years, but I've been here actively for 9 years.
finally (and i know this one is hard) tell me a fun fact about yourself:
Most of my immediate family all need and wear glasses, not contacts, so when I see a friend who I know to wear glasses not wear them I feel a bit like… they forgot to put their eyes on? I don’t know them? Half of their face is missing? Is this a fun fact?
Tagging anyone who wants to answer some Qs this fine Star Wars Saturday ✨

Okay so in case any of y'all had a bad day today here's a story of a stupid I did
So basically I'm generally a night owl. In summers I pull all nighters every other night, I usually don't go to sleep before midnight, the works. And for years I've been getting these random-ass headaches after staring at my screen for a while. They were the stabby, shooting kind and pills didn't really work on them. But, I continued taking pills for them and figured thattheywere caused by staring at my screen for too long. Now cut to last Saturday and I'm bingewatching Gravity Falls with my father. After watching all of season 1 from ep 19 and most of season 2 I get a stabby headache. It's normal, I figured, I've been staring at my screen for like 3 hours at least, so I tell my dad and he grabs me a pill. It doesn't let go, no suprises there, but then when my dad is making us hotdogs I remember something.
Because of gravity falls HC's I now knew of the existence of dehydration headaches, and I just so happened to have a glass of water in front of me. I figured it's worth a shot and downed half the glass
The fucking bitch-ass headache immediately went away. Poof. Well, not really went away, but it lessened so much it was nonexistent. I ws drinking that night, but mostly my strawberry picolo (hey, don't judge) and no water for a while
My motherfucking autistic brain has had dehydration headaches for YEARS and took pills for it because of the corrolation of sitting in front of a computer for a few hours and not moving my ass down two floors to get me some damn water
And before you ask, yes, you can laugh, because frankly this is fucking hilarious

Long post! 😳
It's Friday afternoon and I've just gotten off work for my silly, cute stay at home job that I only do for a few hours each day...
I can't help but think about how deeply I care for you and how much you mean to me the second I shut off my computer. A grateful smile spreads across my face as thoughts of you go through my mind with the occasional stiffening of my shorts as other...lewd memories make an appearance. I play some silly games, go for a walk, and eat a fruit bowl snack for a couple hours while I await your return from work.
Knowing you'll be exhausted from your real job that earns most of our income, I start to prepare dinner! Chopping veggies, scoring the meat, preparing the seasonings, heating the oven...I want to make an extravagant and rich stew that will take hours to prepare, all to show how much I appreciate you. I get everything setup and it should be done just in time for your return!
A few hours pass and I'm sitting on the couch, watching some YouTube videos when I hear the front door click and open. I'm briefly confused before excitedly getting up to greet my love. "Hiiii, how was work, you're here a bit early aren't you?"
"Hi there cutie" *smooch* "Yes, I got to leave since all our work was done for the day and my manager was feeling generous haha" *you glance over to the kitchen* "mmm, that smells wonderful, what've you made for me today, darling? Give me a plate, would you?"
*stammering, blushing slightly* "Oh, um, it's actually not quite ready yet, I didn't think you'd be here yet so it'll be maybe...30 more minutes?" I say sheepishly
You process my words with a neutral expression before a devilish, barely perceptible smile forms along your face as you grab my hand and motion me up the stairs. "Oh, I see...well, let's go upstairs and hangout while it's cooking, okay?" You say with a bright, enthusiastic tone. We walk up to our room and you set down your work stuff before letting out a sigh, saying you need to change out of your office clothes before we can talk about our days. A few minutes go by of me twiddling my thumbs and I hear cabinets opening and closing - you must be doing your skincare routine a bit early. About 10 minutes go by and, while I'm lying on our mattress, you enter the bedroom once again...only now you are half naked with a bottle full of lube between your arms, a vibrator in your hand, and a 7 inch strap on dangling below your waist.
My mouth is agape but I stay silent. No words are spoken as you make your way to the front of the bed and gesture for me to sit up and lean forward so my eyes meet the tip of your cock - much longer and girthier than my own. You wrap your hands around your shaft and gently slap your cock against my cheeks and forehead, teasing and waving it in front of my face as my dick throbs and stiffens against my shorts once more. "You want my cock, don't you baby..." you coo as my mouth begins to salivate. You press the head just against my lips, parting them just enough to slide yourself into my warm, inviting mouth. I look up at you with wide, puppy eyes still trying to process things. You play with my hair and caress my cheek tenderly, I can feel the tension in my shoulders drop and my body relax. "Take mommy's cock, baby boy" is the last thing I heard before my mind went blank.
I open my lips as far as I can, closing my eyes to concentrate and make sure my teeth don't scrape against you, even if you can't feel it, I want to do my best to take you properly. The slight ridges and textures feel so unique and sensual rubbing against my tongue...I can feel so much spit building up to try and accommodate your presence and can't help but sloppily run my tongue up and down your length, or at least the first few inches. You notice me struggling to take your cock and continue to massage my neck and play with my ears to keep me relaxed, still using your other hand to slide it back and forth. "You're so fucking pretty right now" escapes your mouth and I can already feel myself leaking into my underwear, my hips instinctively rocking back and forth, desperate for friction.
Your hand moves up from my neck to the back of my head, now guiding me onto your shaft, trying to coax me through the gagging as your strap hits the back of my throat. My eyes start to water as you fill up my entire mouth, my nose desperately trying to take in enough oxygen in between your long strokes. I can't help but shake my head while my pleading eyes look up at you..."I don't know how much more I can take" they read. You bring my lips right to the hilt of your cock in one final thrust, holding my head in place for a few seconds as you wiggle in my throat, mimicking your own orgasm and shooting your "load" into me. My face is bright red and I'm left gasping for air, coughing and choking in an attempt to readjust from your massive length that's now coated in my spit.
"That's my good boy...and it looks like we still have some time left"

OK one more, then I'll leave you be! 😅
TodoBaku ❤️🧡 I 100% think Todoroki has ticklish palms, and while he doesn't mind it he does think it's kind of silly and/or weird. So when Bakugou finds out he makes it his life's mission to find every opportunity to tickle him there just to watch him get all blushy and also to do his trademark "why are you embarrassed, you idiot? this is fucking adorable!" while Todoroki is stuck between being totally embarrassed and loving the heck out of it at the same time 🥰
Only if you're up for it, of course! Take care of yourself and have a great day!! 💖
Headcanons To Dabbles: Officially CLOSED!
NYM! *squeals and flails about* This headcanon oh my goodness!!! We've been getting quite a few tickly hands this event, lols! Not that I'm complaining of course- tickly palms deserve all the love! And Todoroki having them while Bakugou calling him cute is just- GAH! *cries* I've gotcha covered!
CW: Swearing
“Give me your hand, Icy Hot.”
“So romantic.” Todoroki rolled his eyes as he felt Bakugou take the offered limb. “I’m swooning.”
“Careful not to hit your head on the way down.” The explosive blonde grinned, giving their arms a little swing. He was in a good mood this morning. “Actually no- I’ll catch ya.”
A really good mood, it seemed. “My hero.” Todoroki looked away, fighting down a smile. That battle grew more difficult suddenly when Bakugou’s fingers curled against his palm, making him twitch. “Stop.”
“Stop what? I’m just walking here.” Bakugou kept his face forward as they walked, lips twitching as he continued curling his fingers against his boyfriend’s hand. “You’re so ticklish here, aren’t you?”
“Dohohon’t say it ouhuhuhutloud!” Todoroki giggled out, covering his mouth with his free hand. “It’s embaahhahahaharrasing?” “Why? It’s fucking adorable.” Bakugou pulled them aside so they were in a more reclusive spot, gently tugging Todoroki’s arm up until he was holding his wrist, increasing his tickles. “How many people do you know who have ticklish hands?” “Yohoohhohou do!”
“That’s right- OI!” Bakugou growled, going for a spot he knew would get Todoroki cackling. “Don’t change the subject!”
“Gheahhahahahhahaha! Nohoohohoo stahhahahahp!” Todoroki squealed, cheeks bright red as he doubled over. He grasped Bakugou’s wrist, pushing enough so there was an inch of space between their hands. “Wahahhait, wahhaait…tihihime out.”
“Heh, see what I mean? Fucking adorable.” Bakugou laughed, letting Todoroki go so he could have a proper break. “You don’t need to be embarrassed by it. I think it’s stupid cute.”
“Hhehhe..hehehe…yohoohu mean it?” The half and half hero peeked up at him, cheeks reddening more.
“Why would I lie?” Bakugou shrugged, reaching out and tugging his boyfriend into him, arm around his waist. “It’s cute as hell, so don’t be embarrassed, kay?”
“Heh…you’re especially loving today.” Todoroki pointed out, unable to hide his smile. “What’s got you in this good of a mood anyway?”
“What? Can’t a guy love his boyfriend?” Bakugou shrugged as they carried on their walk. Todoroki waited.
Finally, the blonde sighed, giving in. “That one anime might be getting a season two soon.”
“The romance one?”
“.....yes.”
“Knew it.” Todoroki laughed, yelping when Bakugou pinched his side.
